Silent Hill character.jpg

Name: Timothy Laurentez

Nickname(s): Dr. L, Dr. Laurentez, Tim

Age: 33 y/o

Gender: Male (He/Him)

Appearance: Once a good looking young man now turned to a shell of his former self. Like many of Dr. Spier's patients, he seems to have let himself go considerably. His once tanned skin now grown pale and only getting paler, his dark brown eyes losing their spark. His brunette hair has turned lighter around the edges and worry lines delicately etch the side of his mouth and forehead. Through college and the beginning of his career, Timothy worked out almost daily and had the body to prove it. Now he has lost weight, looking almost unhealthy. He typically favors jeans, T-shirts and work boots. His hands are still rough and calloused from his time working with wood.

Birthplace: Spokane, Washington

Current location: Rochester, NY

Employment history: Worked as a manager in a local grocery store, volunteered as a shadow to one of the doctors in the area, and after receiving his degree became a neurological surgeon.

Positive traits: Insightful, kind, Orderly, Cautious

Negative Traits: Pessimistic, Closed off, Impatient, Stubborn

Hobbies: Woodwork, Reading, Sewing

Items: Wallet with a picture of his kid, pocket journal for his practice

Key skill: Medical knowledge

Trauma: Losing his kid in a car accident under his watch. His son was only 14 when he stole the car and got into an accident.

Background: Growing up in Spokane, Washington, Tim's life was relatively normal. He had two loving parents and two annoying siblings, all of which he loved dearly. In high school he played on his school's football team where he received a terrible head injury during practice. Afterwards he was in and out of the hospital due to developing epilepsy. The episodes happened every few months, but were growing worse each time. Instead of coming to hate the hospital, he actually enjoyed receiving care and talking with the doctors and nurses he had come to know, leading him to his interest in the medical field.

He met his ex wife Mira in his sophomore year in college. Both became med students but he was the only one to receive his doctorates and go into the field. Eventually got a promotion and moved to Rochester.

Secrets: Before the incident his marriage was already going downhill. A part of him wonders if he let his son drive off so it could lead to the divorce. Of course he had no idea his son had even taken the car in the first place, but his guilt obscures that rational part of him. He was already planning to ask for a divorce, but didn't have the heart to say anything until after the accident.

Developed epilepsy a long time ago that still affects him today

Name: Peter Armstrong
Nicknames: "Pete"
Age: 60
Gender: Male
Appearance: [SCENE] Pete sits hunched over like a wounded prizefighter, showing all the signs of age. He's bald and graying along the crown of his head with bags under his eyes. His physique, once a burly pilar of strength now appears sunken and wasting under a black zippered jacket. A drink rests in one hand, a cigarette collecting ashes in the other as it ebbs away much like his inner emotions. He ponders the thought, "Do I even have a soul?"

Place of Birth: Yonkers, New York
Current Location: Bronx, New York
Employment History: UA Local Union No. 1 - Pipefitter (1981-2018)
Positive Traits: Patience
Negative Traits: Alcoholic, declining health
Hobbies: Visiting grandchildren, reading the paper, fishing
Items: Steel flask, wallet photo
Key Skill: Technical mind
Background:

"What's there to tell? One minute you're a little boy dreaming about rocket ships, and the next you're staring down a bottle of Jim Beam..."

Pete Armstrong grew up in Southeast Yonkers with youthful aspirations of becoming an astronaut. He and his brother Tom would mess around on the construction site their father worked on and pretended they were spacemen. Pete later went to a local trade school, studying to become a union pipefitter in New York City. There he met his wife Anne and they settled down in a three-bedroom apartment in the Bronx. Pete developed a drinking problem during their relationship and it only got worse through the years, as he'd find himself in and out of rehab multiple times. They raised three children before deciding to call it quits in 2003.

While currently estranged to his wife, he's trying to smooth things over with the kids. He looks forward to play dates in the park with his grandchildren Maggie and John. He also goes to weekly therapy sessions with Dr. Spier's, who is helping him through the alcohol and his troubled past.

Secrets:

[SECRET] Fifty years ago, Tommy got stuck in an unfinished drain pipe during a storm. Pete tried to save him but the boy later drowned.

[SECRET] Last August, Pete was diagnosed with ALS. His body continues to break down piece by piece. He's beginning to have trouble with fine hand movements like turning keys, buttoning shirts etc.

  • GENERAL NAME: Penelope Emerson

    NICKNAME: Pen

    GENDER: Female

    AGE: 19

    HEIGHT: 5'7

    WEIGHT: 120

APPEARANCE: Penelope has always looked as fragile as she's felt on the inside. Pale, paper thin skin covers her gangly body. It had taken months for her to get used to eating the sort of foods that would help her reach a weight her doctor would approve of. Day by day she felt less like a walking corpse and more like a living breathing body, with round ears that stuck out, and the deepest of blue eyes.Lately under Dr. Spiers advice, she had taken to wearing her long, now healthy dark brown hair down with the tendrils hidden behind her ears. Don't hide what makes you feel uneasy, she had told her. Rarely did her eyes get puffy from a constant flow of tears anymore, but her plump lips did often dry and crack from her incessant nibbling whenever she felt stressed.

Name: James Brandon

Age: 42

Appearance: A scruffy, dirty looking fellow. Once broad shouldered and muscular, his physique had been damaged from years of abuse, now a vestige of its former glory. His eyes are almost sunken into his skull, a dull, lifeless brown. His clothes are in a similiar state, all dull colors and patchy.20211126_022127.jpg

Birth Location: Cedar Key, Florida
Current Location: Brownsville, New York

Current Employment: Independent contractor, mostly in construction. Occasionally sees gigs as a bouncer

Background: Born into a small country family, James was instilled with deep religious values and patriotism at a very young age. With both his parents having previously served in the military, it seemed only natural that he would follow in their footsteps. While training overseas, he would meet his soon to be wife, even fathering a child. For a time, things seemed good.

For a time.

It went wrong. James came back, changed. He had seen things. Things that had changed him. He couldn't keep a steady job. Would lash out at the slightest provacation. Began abusing painkillers. After a particularly vicious blowout, his love left, taking his child with him. A broken shell, James could do nothing but watch, too weak to pull himself from the dredges of his own self-loathing. He began attempting to straighten out his life with assistance from Dr. Spiers. Hopefully this little resort trip would help clear his mind. Ease his guilt.

Yeah, right.

Personality: Once an outgoing, well-spoken man, James soured, becoming sullen and prone to acts of violence at the slightest provacations. Became infamous in his local area for his habit of drinking himself into a stupor and picking fights, many of which ended in a dramatically violent fashion.

Key skill:

Hardened: James is a veteran, a particularly jaded one at that. Events that would phase many prove not quite so troublesome to process for James

Positive Traits:

Loyal: Although hard to earn, once you do, James'll stick by you no matter what goes down.

Humorous: Despite his sullen demeanor, occasional glimpses of the man he once was can be seen, his sense of humor being one of them. A dry remark here or there should help lighten up the mood a little.

Negative Traits:

Violent: James is very willing, almost eager, to resort to physical means of engagement to get his way. If pressured enough, wouldn't be surprising to see him kill a man.

Biting: James is just as willing to crack a joke at someone else's expense as he is anything else, not all of them end that well. Most, in fact, lead to vitriolic rants on how much said person sucks.

Paranoid: James is extremely paranoid, prone to bouts of unwarranted suspicions and accusations.

Items:

Knife: a straight edged hunting knife, a keepsake from his father when he went into the service.

Wallet, with photo: Of his wife, and kid.

Cellphone: Prepaid. Dunno' if there's anything left on it.

Pills: Helps him forget

Secret:

James participated in a covert operation to eliminate an alleged terrorist cell. Numerous fatalities were endured, some of them his own squadmates. In retaliation and to allow for continued operational security, a massacre was undertaken, killing dozens of civilians. James partook.

Trauma:

James is horrified by the acts he undertook during the height of the War on Terror, suffering from symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and even signs of acute paranoia.

(Kinda rough, just wanted to slap something down)

Their father tried his best raising both of them but found it difficult, but the girls were supportive of him and each other. They taught themselves to be better, but in middle school through high school, Margaret was a victim of bullying. A boy named Thomas simply decided that Margaret should be punished for simply existing after she reported him to a teacher for cheating. He did all he could to make her life miserable. Because of this, Margaret grew up hating herself and her performance in school plummeted, and while that happened, Penny’s achievements only skyrocketed.
While Penny eventually graduated college within three years with a Bachelor’s and was rewarded with a lucrative business career, Margaret dropped out to recover from the emotional distress that she suffers from before re-enrolling into college for veterinary sciences.

Oz Consonno

Alias: Louis Ontario (Pen Name)
Age: 41
Gender: Male (He/Him)
Appearance: When teaching, Oz wears tweed-patterned suits with varying ties of bright colors to add a splash of unique-ness for his students. For casual wear, or when he isn't working for the university, he prefers sweater vests and wool shirts, thin tall pants straight from the mid-70s, and his beloved boat shoes (which work in both formal and casual situations).
Birthplace: Argleton, Massachusetts
Current Homestead: A small suburban home in Syracuse, New York. Rents a hotel room when visiting Manhattan.
Employment History: While a retail and food service employee in his teenage years, Oz has been surprisingly succesful career wise. He is not only a renowned professor of Historical Literature at Syracuse University, but also a best-selling author under a pen name.
Positive Traits
  • Ambition
  • Creativity
  • Observation
Negative Traits
  • Hard to meet new people
  • Inflexible
  • Superstitious
Hobbies: Hiking, Creative Writing, Board Games
Items
  • Leather Satchel
    • Laptop
    • Ink Pen
  • Phone
  • Keys
  • Wallet
Key Skill: Situational Awareness - From his experience in writing, Oz tries to think about whatever situations he finds himself in (sometimes overthinking them). He tries to see every angle, and remember anything he thinks will be relevant. His Notes App is full of random things he's written down from not wanting to forget them.

Trauma: When Oz was a child, he and his parents visited the state carnival. He was already a timid child, but when he got lost (and was too embarrassed to ask an employee for help), he stayed past closing time. From here on, Oz began to panic, running around the carnival in a panic. He came upon limp puppets and scary clowns and strange sounds. At one point, an employee half-out of a clown suit saw him and tried to help him, which just scared Oz more. During this chase, Oz stumbled into a water ride at one of the parks, and with very little light came face-to-face with an animatronic sea lizard put down there for a gimmick rollercoaster. The murky water and odd architecture of the machine not only terrified him, but it scarred him after the employee tried to get the boy out of the water area, before slipping and falling into the gears of the machine. After being found, and eventually brought into the police station, he was let off without any warnings. The death was ruled an accident, and this kickstarted a need for an outlet for Oz, who took to writing. From this came his successful folk-horror series involving several creatures from folktales and urban myths across the globe, due to Oz liking history in school. However, something that was always noticeable in his writing was the strange ominous note of when the characters are around water. The mass of water is personified like an entity, something unknown even in terror. It looks at the characters, who feel oddly scared of it. Even while his writing is going well, Oz has developed Thalassophobia and Submechanaphobia, alongside fears associated with the carnival and clowns in general.
Secrets: Oz refuses to go swimming. Even in hot tubs he gets a little irritated, though it's not as bad when the water is light and completely see-through. One time, he almost let his younger brother drown because he was paralyzed by murky lake water during a family canoeing trip.

Background: Oz was born into a fairly normal family, with his parents (Virginia and Robert). They moved to Argleton shortly after his birth, and he lived almost his entire life, from childhood to teenage years, in that town. He also soon had a younger brother three years after he entered the world named Rocky. Despite the carnival and near-drowning incident, they lived very normal lives. Virgina and Robert were both professors of Business and History at the local college, which is where Oz gained his interest from. After winning the country-wide writing competition for a short story he wrote (which later became the first of his bestselling series), Oz's aspirations took him to Syracuse University. After getting his degree in both History and Literature, several years later, he would return as a professor to very same school. During his first months teach, Oz would release his first big seller based on a story he wrote as a teenager, which he called Spiritwell. After this, he would release six more books in the same series up to this day, all with unique premises and creatures within. Fan-curated highlights included Spiritwell: Raven's Reap, Spiritwell: The Hollow Birch, Spiritwell: Hauntings in Owen's Burrow, and Spiritwell: Masks of Eternity. Fan-speculation is currently focused on the possible new novel in the series, which has many fan theories swirling about it. However, this one is the most challenging. Oz has been trying to get better at overcoming his fears, and thus, he's trying to write a book about it. Spiritwell: The Under (the working title at the moment) is a themed vacation inside a high-tech (but retro-decorated) submarine that goes deeper into the ocean than ever before for rich vacationeers. The cast is trapped deep within the ocean with only themselves as the submarine to protect against the horrors awaiting them. Oz has only a few chapter finished, and he still views them as inadequate.

His crtical thinking skills are not limited to one or two categories, MInma critical thinking skills make him a great combat fighter, strategist, and survivalist. (Motto: ''Think now, panic later.'')
Background: Minma was born into a family of drug smugglers. His parents moved to New York when Minma was just 5 months old. They had a reason for moving. South Carolina didn't bring in the money his parents were hoping for. Growing up, Minma lived in a small square shaped house. On the inside, there was no decor. Plain white walls stretched around the house, and no windows were present. The only thing present from a stove, refrigerator, a few couches, and a bathroom was pounds upon pounds of various drug. Weed, cocaine, meth, mushrooms, acid, you name it and they had it. Minma was born male so he was made to takeover the drug operation when he came of age. Because of this, Minma never got to experience a normal childhood. He never went to school, however he had a private tutor that would give him various lessons. His tutor lessons were long and laborious, (7 days a week, 9 hours a day) and often he would handle drugs. He wasn't allowed to leave the house, unless his father wanted Minma to accompany him on 'missions'. He was feed on a strict diet with none of his food having added sugar. His parents were, a lot of the time, strung out themselves on drugs, or had people who were over that were. In the beginning he lived shelter to shelter, before being introduced to tower climbing where he made a living to begin with.
Trauma: MInma suffers from childhood trauma because of the constant years of strict reign he experienced. Along with the environment of drugs he was catered to. He struggles to show empathy and deal with his emotions. An argument pursued with him and a fellow co-worker, where he was told to go seek help from a doctor. MInma didn't think anyone could help him, so he decided to test the theroy and put Dr. Spiers to the test.
Secrets: The group is aware of his past with one of the most notorious drug operations to date. They've been given insight on some of the biggest drug transactions to date.
