Her first day of heroic classes... To be among the accepted few was a wonderful honor. A privilege to attend and pave the path for future hero hopefuls down the line. It made sense to Nia then, that her first day would be equally unique. Thus far the teachers seem polar opposites. While Unmei seemed quiet and more- tired? The redhead assumed with a small tilt of her head. Perhaps shy? Their student-teacher Hoshi was a lot like Nia herself, energetic, fun, and excitable. The eccentric man brought an even wider smile to the telepath's lips, perking up in her seat at his introduction.

Then finally was their vice principal. His behavior made Nia purse her lips momentarily. Wow... he seems really bored. Like really really bored. Nia thought to herself. A distinction that does actually need to be made. Ever the good student, she takes her own notes on the rules and BH:TS system in a blank notebook. She seemed excited. It's like a quest system! That's awesome! Nia gets to be a regular adventurer!

Once given free rein to introduce themselves, Nia glanced around at the class. She presses her hand into her lap, fiddling with the skirt a touch before standing. The excitable ball of energy that is Nia boldly marches up to the front of the classroom. She gives an excited wave to the entire class with a broad smile. "Hello everyone! My name is Nia Davion. It's a pleasure to meet you! I look forward to getting to know all of you!" The young girl before the class had striking green emerald eyes, freckle spotted cheeks, and had stylishly messy short cute hair which was bright red in color. She turns to the teachers and gives a small bow of her head. "Thank you for accepting me, and I look forward to what you have to teach me." With that, she spins around on a heel and returns to her seat. Hoping that her bold approach would net her some good friends, and not make her look weird.

Lalo Teep was certainly enjoying Japan. He may not be the most fluent when it comes to speaking but Lalo fits in like any cute tourist would, the robes he wore to the first day of class were of a traditional kimono style for a man. Right? Stars and boomerangs are for men... plus it's in baby blue boy colour so it is definitely the right sort.
Though everyone else seemed to be wearing clothes, normal clothes.

A slight increase of nerves happened as he realises this. Was he the only one to assume Japanese people would wear traditional clothes to school?

The boy infront of Lalo was much taller, he wore a dark hoodie and cargo pants.
mike.jpg
This boy looked slightly angry, woke up on the wrong side perhaps?
Not at all, Michael Ceede was just terrified. He did not speak the language at all... in fact he was escorted here with all his luggage so he doesn't even remember the directions to the airport on the off chance he decides this is way to hard and tries to escape for home.

Mike looked around the classroom trying to determine what was happening and what he should do.
A elder man spoke, then a younger man spoke.
A girl stood up and introduced herself...

Lalo stood up to start a polite applause for Nia, "Ayy great start"
Mike immediately took notice that the short boy behind him spoke English.
Glad he's behind me.
Lalo was quick to take Nia's place so he could introduce himself...
"I am Lalo Teep, I throw things far hard and deep, With ladies I sleep"
He spoke proudly in English and then took a moment to try and translate himself, realising it wouldn't work he tried again but sounded more polite
"My name is Teep Lalo, I look forward to... eating?... More with all you?"
His Japanese started well but ended bad. Thinking he had said
"learning with you all"
Lalo smiled and bowed then walked back to his seat at the back as if he was flawless.
Mike couldn't help but smile at the haiku and started a slow clap for his classmate.
He wouldn't dare go up next.

Hazuki Shouryuu
As the various teachers stumbled through their introductions Shou yawned and stretched his arms exposing a larger portion of his chest, while he had been forced into the school uniform the blazer had quickly ended up draped over the back of his chair and most the buttons on his shirt were undone leaving the elaborate dragon adorning his skin clearly visible as it dozed in a coiled spiral over his heart. He'd heard that the school hadn't been open long but the teachers seemed like this was their first day standing in front of a class, though at least the task system sounded like it might be interesting to him assuming it wasn't just doing chores for a few kudos.

When the teacher let them off to apparently do whatever they liked with the rest of the class Shou let his gaze roam around the room, being seated slap bang in the middle of the room felt appropriate to him but it did force him to turn his head the whole way to see everyone. Before he could pick out who to chat up first a girl jumped up and gave a chirpy introduction followed by a boy who looked to be a lost tourist who'd fallen into every trap he could find, curiously neither had local names and the boy spoke first in English followed by shaky Japanese. With a grin he shot the guy a thumbs up. "Not bad, did you miss breakfast or something though?" He replied in lightly accented but clear English as it had been high among the 'optional' subjects that had been forcibly drilled into him.

Quickly seizing the opening Shou hopped up onto his chair and planted one foot on the desk. "Sup people? The name's Hazuki Shouryuu but you guys can all call me Shou." Pausing he rapped a fist against his chest prompting what had seemed to be an odd choice of tattoo to unfurl itself to it's full length and coil around his neck with it's head extending partway into the open air. "This here is my pal Kinryu, he's my quirk. Here's hoping it'll be fun hanging with y'all." Looking down at where Nia sat he shot her a grin and a wink then gave the two adults a cocky salute before sitting down.

"Wow... Do all the people that work here hate it?" Juliet thought to herself nervously, feeling a little deflated from the lack of enthusiasm from Mr. Unmei, her teacher, and Mr. Hitomi, the strange looking vice principal. She poked at her metal, magenta colored water bottle, her head rested on her hand. At least Mr. Shiniyuku seemed pumped up, she liked his personality and hoped to see more of him. In the meantime, she dutifully listened to everything that was said, making mental note of the missions they mentioned and also how much time they had left. Then introductions seemed to happen without any call for them when the very bubbly redhead seated beside her bounced up to the front and introduced herself. "Oooh she sounds fun, and she's adorable! Thank god I don't have some brooding edge lord beside me." She waved at Nia as she introduced herself, already planning to try and be friends with her. When Nia had returned to her seat, Juliet leaned over, beaming at the young girl. "Hey, nice intro girl! Good job!" she cheered joyfully, giving her thumbs up.

The next person who went up was a young man, just as enthusiastic. When he recited the English part of his haiku, she stifled a giggle and looked at the teachers, wondering if they understood him. She was shocked and a little impressed that he would be so bold, especially on the first day of school. Lalo made an attempt at translation, which resulted in another laugh on her end. She was sure some of the the other students would understand English, but for the sake of hijinks she decided to pretend she didn't for now. Forever the tactician, she also noted that he might be susceptible to feminine wiles in the future- she might have to test the theory. As she pondered, the boy on the other side of her stepped up with one foot on his desk and addressed the class. "Hah, someone's cocky." she thought playfully, dazzled by the ornate dragon Kinryu and Shou's overall bravado. He came off as very prideful, but thankfully looked like he liked to have fun too.

Confidently, she got up and sashayed to the front before eyeing her classmates with a bright smile on her face. "Hello everybody, it's an honor to meet you. My name is King, Juliet. I hope we can all help each to become fantastic heroes!" She exclaimed happily before holding her hand out, palm facing the ceiling. A ball of see-through pink slime began to form, bright with a fruity smelling quality. "My quirk, Jeleport, lets me teleport things with slime." she bounced the ball playfully into the air and then caught it, the ooze covering her hand before disappearing back into her skin. "Let's all be friends, okay?" she flashed a peace sign and giggled lightly before she returned to her seat and relaxed, eagerly waiting to see who would take center stage next.

Eiro Sano
Hero Name: Sleet | 16 | Quirk: Flashfreeze

________________________________________________________________________________
Eiro sat quietly at his desk, looking straight ahead at nothing in particular, as he listened to every word that was said. He was lucky to get a seat in the back, a spot where he would (hopefully) bother his classmates as little as possible. He wouldn't have to worry about obscuring other's vision with his head, there were less people who would be burdened with the task of speaking to him, and he would be able to enter and exit class without drawing too much attention to himself. As he sat doll-like, he made mental notes of all of the important things he heard-- a skill he developed at a young age, in order to remember valuable information without being a nuisance. Fuko-Sensei. Shiniyuku-Sensei. Kemuri-Sensei. BH:TS.

Suddenly, he put an end to his unmoving positing and raised his hand to fiddle with his hair. It was a subconscious action he had a habit of doing, and doing it in the middle of class was no exception. Once their Sensei suggested that they introduce themselves and get to know each other better, his hand slowly returned to it's idle position on the desk. He wondered how he would go about this; would he go to the front of the classroom, or simply rise from his seat and speak? Would he keep it short and sweet, or speak about himself for a bit? The questions flowed through his mind, and just as he was beginning to feel conflicted, a fellow student-- a young girl with red hair and energetic eyes-- stepped up to the front of the class and began introducing herself. Perfect. He would use her as a template. He began putting his words together in his head as he listened to her speak, making sure to take note of her name. Davion-Chan.

It didn't take long before others began to perk up and introduce themselves. Luckily for him, learning English was a requirement punishable by death in the Sano household, so he understood every word that was said-- whether it be English or Japanese. He continued to blankly stare forward as his fellow classmates rose one by one. Teep-kun. Hazuki-Kun, Kinryu. King-Chan, Jeleport.

Eiro waited a moment, allowing, others to go before him. When nobody else stood, he decided to get things over with. Slowly rising from his seat, he calmly stepped up to the front of the class, like a machine executing a command. He looked straight forward, not batting an eye at any of his classmates, and opened his mouth to speak.

"My name is Sano Eiro. If my name is too much to remember..." he paused. A very awkward pause at that. "...Then, you may call me Ei. Or any other nickname you happen to come up with." Another odd pause. It was obvious that he didn't think this far ahead in terms of what he was going to say. He wanted to keep things short, but everyone else seemed to have such enthusiastic and friendly introductions. Well, maybe not Teep-Kun.

Once the pause grew noticeably uncomfortable, his blank gaze was interrupted by a blink. "Sorry." He returned to his seat and sat back down, continuing to stare forward. He did what he did best-- apologize.

Teru Aishi
Thump, thump, thump.

Click, click, click.

In rhythm with one other, Teru's pen clicked and his heart hammered. Quietly, in the back of the bustling classroom, Teru fidgeted with his phone in one hand, and a pen in the other. It'd been years since he'd been in a room packed this tight, and he could feel an ocean of butterflies swarming in his gut in response.

The other freshmen's' words only barely reached his ears. In the back of his head, a stray name of two was logged away, but his conscious mind had little concern for the bright, bubbly introductions that a few of his classmates had been so quick to make. He raised his head when his neighbour made his introduction and was impressed by its laxness, but he still remained rooted to his seat. The teacher had said it himself; this was an optional exercise, so he was under no obligation to take part. If he wanted anybody to know his name, they'd probably hear it in roll call.

With that in mind, he laid his pen on his desk and turned his full attention to his phone. A number of alerts littered his home screen, each vying for him to turn his attention to something that had jack and squat to do with his first day at school. He flicked through a few of the private messages he'd been sent since the start of class, but elected to ignore them for the time being in favour of trawling through his mobile dailies.

Slipping a pair of wireless earphones into his ears, Teru was soon swept away in totality from the classroom, his focus honing in on the much more familiar sight of loading screens and login menus. Unconsciously, he huffed a sigh of relief, thanking his lucky stars that he'd gotten himself out of that situation.

Chousokabe, Senka.

For Senka whose world had been enshrouded in darkness since the age of four, the world was all about sound, taste, and feel. From the crunch of the defrosting grass under her shoe to winter's breath, nascent with the smell of the soil peaking through the covers of snow, to the slightly tepid air settling in humidity upon her tongue. Although she couldn't see it, she could feel it. The voices of her classmates being no exception in each of their unique vibrations on her eardrums. Cheerful like the whistles of birds and somber like the pitter-patter of rain; she memorized each and everyone, ascribing them the names they had introduced themselves with all while softly smiling.

This was the first time she had ever had to do that, remember the names of so many at the same time. Although she did admit having trouble with understanding one, the boy who spoke what she presumed to be English before switching to Japanese.

Gently rising from her seat, careful as to not make too much sound, she navigated to the front of the classroom in the steady thuds of her walking stick bouncing against the floor. Eventually coming to a halt when her outstretched hand identified what seemed like the teacher's desk and then pivoted on her heel. Starting off by clutching her hands in front and with a bow.

"It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance." Making the conscious effort to acknowledge them all, she imitated the motion of looking out over them "My name's Chousokabe Senka. I look forward to getting to know everyone. If you ever need any help, you can always come to me. I'll do my best to be here for you. Thank you."

Bowing once again, she returned to her seat. Tucking in her skirt neatly under her thighs as she sat down with hands laid to rest in her lap. As if suddenly having realized something she made an audible 'oh' and turned her head to face her seatmate. The one with the somber voice like the pitter-patter of rain.

"Sano-san, right? Since we're seatmates I hope we can become good friends. Don't ever feel afraid to ask me anything." She beamed.

Tajima Akemi
Sitting off to one side Akemi had been quietly biding her time as her classmates began to speak up, if anyone had glanced her way they would have seen that she was 'looking' straight ahead resting her chin in her hand seemingly ignoring them except for occasionally tilting her head towards the sounds of people speaking. Internally she was sizing up her fellow students from multiple angles by flipping between different viewpoints while also spying on another guy who'd decided to mess with his phone rather than speaking up, curiously she found only darkness when trying to see through the person directly behind her and struggled to get a clear view as the stranger was tucked away in the corner.

Itching to learn what the deal was she switched over to the slightly distorted yet familiar sight of the small bird that was idly exploring around the desk in front of her. Whistling softly she saw Pocky's gaze snap up to bring her own face into view and heard him echo the sound, before Akemi could coax her assistance animal to take a look behind her the mystery person stood up of their own accord finally giving Akemi a clear view of the girl as she made her way forwards using a cane to navigate leaving Akemi stunned, she hadn't thought it possible that someone other than her who couldn't see normally would be there.

Letting Senka return to her seat Akemi reevaluated for a moment before getting up herself, her initial plan was to go up there and flaunt her supposed blindness but that seemed like it would be in especially poor taste now. Instead she casually rested her cane over her shoulder and placed Pocky on the other, leaving her desk she strutted up to the front like the aisle was a catwalk and posed with a slight smirk. "Morning everyone hope you're having a good one, I am Tajima Akemi. Nice to meet you and all that." Getting into her little show she gave her cane a twirl and planted it into the floor then faced vaguely in the teacher's direction for a moment before turning back. "Thank you for your impassioned introduction sensei, I'm sure we'll all get along famously."

Feeling very self-satisfied Akemi strolled back to her seat and turned it to face Senka. "Heya Chouchan, you got a minute?" Coming up with a nickname on the spur of the moment she shamelessly inserted herself into the conversation the other girl was already having.

He continued to intently listen to the introductions of his fellow classmates, his eyes drifting to the left for a moment to look at the person in his neighboring seat as she made her way to the front of the class. As opposed to his other neighbor- a boy who's nervous pen tapping he had been quietly tuning out for quite some time, she seemed to be the the calmer one. The walking stick she carried with her made it obvious--this girl was blind. At least, there weren't many other assumptions he could make after seeing that item. He wondered if her quirk had something to do with it. While he listened to her introduction, his silver optics remained stitched onto the stick. It truly was commendable, enrolling into a school for heroes with a key sense missing. Would he ever say this to her in person? Probably not. His expression remained unchanged as he remembered her name. Chousokabe-Chan.

The next one to introduce herself was the girl sitting in front of Chousokabe, a red-haired girl who... also had a walking cane. How peculiar, or perhaps the better reaction would be 'what a coincidence', that there were two visually impaired students in his class. This one was much more outgoing than her predecessor, and Eiro didn't even notice the avian creature perched on her shoulder until she was finished introducing herself. Tajima-Chan. His thoughts were interrupted by the gentle voice of the girl to his left, and he slowly turned his head to face her, blankly gazing at her.

"Sano-san, right?"

He nodded. Up close, Chousokabe had a calm, soothing air to her. It was one that was capable of putting even Eiro at ease, and he involuntarily relaxed his shoulders as she spoke to him. Once he nodded, she continued to speak. "Since we're seatmates I hope we can become good friends. Don't ever feel afraid to ask me anything." his eyes briefly perked up. She had said it-- that one word that always got to him, boring through the glacier surrounding his heart and swallowing it in a warm embrace. Friends.

While he made no clear indication of surprise, he swallowed. Was he truly capable of attaining something of that nature? A friend? Nonetheless, he pushed his thoughts to the side and spoke. "...Thanks." To his rescue, Tajima had made her way into the conversation, and Eiro used this chance to return his stare to the front of the class. He would listen to their conversation if he could, and find a way to stop his heart from racing the way it was.

Chousokabe, Senka

Unable to see what kind of expression the boy was making, all she could do was wait. Patiently with a touch of optimistic expectation to the tender curve on her lips. Fortunately for her, waiting was something that came naturally. The memory of her aching muscles after days upon days of meditation being etched into her marrow. When he did respond, however, the lidded eyes were surely sparkling underneath as the unfamiliar one-syllable word 'thanks' reached her. She wanted to savor it, let the word simmer along with the recognition of her newfound friend but was interrupted. Her giddiness contained by the clenching of fists and steeling of jaws as another student addressed her. A touch of surprise now tinting her expression instead, as the faint twitter of actual bird song soothed her ears.

Nonetheless, returning to her smiling self in a matter of seconds as she faced ahead. "Of course. Tajima-san, was it?" Trailing off for a moment as she tried to pinpoint the sound of the bird and ended up tilting her head inquisitively to the side as she did "Tajima-san, you don't happen to have a pet bird, do you? I, strangely enough, keep hearing a bird-".

Then, on the other hand, it could just be her exhaustion speaking. It had been a long and arduous day. The journey there not made easier exactly by her disability. To think that she had just a couple of days ago been sweeping the temple grounds clear of the newly-fallen snow. The life awaiting her was surely a happy one.

Onishi
Yousa? Playas?

Was that Kansai? No. She beat up Kansai dirtbags before. They didn't talk like this. Definitely not Hiroshima. She eventually figured that he was making up his own cool slang-slash-dialect.

She desperately wanted out of this seat right now. Maybe this was a mistake. Maybe she should call Heizou right now, tell him to pick her up from school, because she was going to play hooky. There was nothing of value here. "I'm not going to be complicit to your crimes, young lady," was probably his reply if she tried. Maybe she should just leave and sign on with the cops instead, if this was how professional academic instructors acted like. At this point, she didn't care if this teach was ranked number one on whatever hero list there was. Attitude like this was beyond shit. Even back at middle, the teachers at least kept up a facade of some professionalism, even if their students were all unruly thugs and delinquents. Was...was this teacher trying to appeal to the youth? That thought made Onishi physically retch. Nothing caused her bile to rise up in her throat as much as adults trying to do just that. There had been some she had encountered that tried, and she nearly threw up on their shoes. Give it straight and simple, like how the detective did, and she would offer an iota more respect to them.

She slumped back onto her chair, and pulled out her phone, clearly disinterested in the teacher's 'get to know each other' instruction. There was no point. All these chumps were going to just leave her alone anyway. The locals would understand from her demeanour that she was bad news, and the gaijin would learn, if they hadn't already. She glanced at her right, noting that one of the aforementioned foreigners seemed to have had a terrible idea of what 'uniform' was, choosing to put on a kimono. What a fuckin' disaster. She scoffed, and idly played around with her phone. Not many friends to speak of to SNS with, and Heizou was probably busy with some dumb paperwork right now. Her actual parents were...probably indisposed of, as always. They didn't really care much when she told them she was going to Shinichi Acad. All the better for her, then. They wouldn't miss her, and that took a weight off her mind. She sighed, and continued to peruse the news instead.

Until she heard the guy next to her introduce himself.
"I am Lalo Teep, I throw things far hard and deep, With ladies I sleep"

What the hell? "What the hell?" She brought her thoughts out to bear. She turned to the Lalo Teep dude as he returned to his seat. "What the hell did you just say?" She didn't totally flunk her English studies in middle. In fact, it was one of the few subjects that she could proudly say that she was proficient in, if only in speaking. She processed his words again, and took in their full meaning, including the innuendo, then sighed another despairing sigh. She had no energy for this. "Forget it," she waved Lalo's attention away, and returned hers to her phone. Great. A jive turkey for a teacher, and a sexual harassment case next to her. At least the girl behind her, Tajima, seemed normal. She hoped she was, or she was trapped in the corner with a wall on one side, and three idiots on the other three.

Summer Cestria
Sitting in the back right corner of the classroom suited Summer splendidly. The multicolored girl sat with her legs crossed one over the other. She was holding her head up by one hand, elbow on her desk as she silently observed the classroom. Watching as they all interact. She would introduce herself in time. Much like a cat waiting to pounce on a mouse she too would wait for a good moment. The smug look on her face may give away her mischievous intentions as she singles out a good candidate for shenanigans. That Lalo Teep guy seemed fun, if his intro was anything to go off of. There seemed to be more than a few more straight-laced serious types in the class though. She'd have to test their limits another time.

Nia Davion
So far so good! People seemed to respond well to her introduction, getting a good amount of praise out of it. It made the girl sit up in her seat a bit proudly. She held her chin in thought though as introductions continued. Nia took color coded notes on each person, writing their name, style of introduction and anything she could pick up about their personality, a small description, and their quirk if they displayed it. Wait... Was she supposed to say her quirk? Nia wasn't sure. A lot of her classmates in middle school wanted to use it so they could cheat on tests and stuff, that or they get freaked out, the prospect of mental invasions doesn't sit well with some people. It would be awkward to stand up and correct herself now though, so Nia would have to do that at a later time. After all, her quirk was useless without others- and benefited from repeated use on the same person.

Nia shifts in her seat to be seated sideways so she could talk to her desk neighbor, Juliet. "Hi!" She says cheerfully. "Your quirk's cool. Jellyport. It has a good ring to it." The other girl also seemed like an American, and socially bubbly. Just like Nia! A wonderful start to what should be a solid friendship. On the subject of friends, she holds out her hand. "Wanna be friends?"

Well, that was blunt.

A wave of relief washed over Mike as other members of the classroom began speaking. Being able to identify the English speaking people made him feel a bit more comfortable in new surroundings. Thoughts of introducing himself were interrupted as the girl in the back corner made noise at the short kid who sat behind him. Lalo Teep certainly seemed like a character, but maybe not the best person to befriend if he gets on everyone's nerves on the first day.
Mike gave a subtle glance at the interaction as it happened.

Lalo was all smiles and thumbs up as he walked back to his seat. His grin sank a tiny bit as the girl sitting next to him asked for clarification on his statements before dismissing Lalo in favor of her phone. She must be searching for the answer on her phone because she couldn't understand my accent. Hmmmm should i try speaking louder? That helps foriegn people understand English! Ahh but I don't want to talk over others...
Japan is big on social etiquette an whatnot.

The boys confidence returns as well as his previous innocent happy smile. With a inside voice of course, Lalo offered his hand to shake saying
"happy to sit next ta ya"

Feeling inspired by the brave and idiotic positive vibe emanating from the small boy behind him Mike stood up from his seat and turned to face the majority of the students to introduce himself.
"hey everyone, I'm Michael Ceede, I'm ok with Mike or seed if that's easier to say.. uh, I um.. don't speak Japanese. But I have started practicing so I hope to get along with everyone"
It might have come off as a bit apathetic, it was just the nagging detail in the back of his mind Half these kids might not understand you at all, you may have sounded a bit boring to anyone who could. Mike nodded his head a bit before sitting back down to criticize himself.
I forgot to say my quirk.... if I stand up now I'll look stupid. I'll.. ill just pretend I was being mysterious.
Mike breathed a silent sigh before glancing around to look at everyone in the classroom and where they sat.

His view of the front of the class was suddenly obstructed by a rising head of brown hair. The stillness of the person in front of him had nearly made Eiro forget that they were even there. He watched as they made their way to the front of the classroom. Another introduction, for sure. He would have to pay even more attention to this one, since it was one of the people closer to him in seating. They turned to face the class, revealing that they were a boy named Michael Ceede. He seemed to be a tad nervous, and because of this, Eiro was able to sympathize with him. Yet another laudable classmate, enrolling into a school in Japan with little fluency in the language. Ceede-kun. In Eiro's mind, everyone was capable of being better than him, even if they had made the smallest accomplishments in life, because Eiro was nothing. A useless child and a burden to others no matter where he went.

But, just maybe...

He silently looked on as Mike returned to his seat, and took a moment to contemplate what he was about to do. The only reason he was doing this whole thing was to help others. He wasn't doing this for his parents, his siblings, or his future. Until further notice, the sole purpose of his existence would be to save others from pain, grief and suffering. Without the clasps of his family binding him down and keeping him submissive, an error or two would be okay, right? With that thought, he leaned forward, and gently tapped his brooding classmate on the shoulder, making sure not to touch his skin and make him uncomfortable with his unusually cold finger. Then, he spoke in fluent, but slightly accented English. "...Nice to meet you." it wasn't much, but it was a start. While he showed no signs of it, making one of his first decisions on his own resulted in two feelings: what felt like a weight being lifted off his back, and a warm pulsation. He wondered what these feelings could mean, but nothing particularly came to mind. Feelings and emotions weren't his strong suit, after all.

Of course, whether or not he replied to him was completely up to his classmate. Eiro was used to being ignored.

Watching the other girl's face as best she could Akemi frowned in confusion, Senka's eyes had remained solidly closed the whole time which wasn't normally how blindness worked in Akemi's experience and the question indicated that Senka wasn't using some other quirk related sense instead of sight. "I sure do. He's a cockatiel called Pocky, hey Pocky say hello." Gently placing the small bird on Senka's desk she enunciated the last word carefully prompting Pocky to look up at her for a moment then make a sound that was halfway between a whistle and the word 'hello' before going to examine Senka's pencil case. "Good boy! He's here to help me see using my quirk." Lowering her voice she leaned in a little closer. "Since I'm normally blind without it."

Letting the reveal hang in the air for a moment Akemi hoped that it would prompt the other girl to explain her own condition, while she had wanted keep a bit of an air of mystery surrounding her quirk to leave the other students guessing for a while at least it was worth the sacrifice in this case.

Almost instantaneously, Juliet took Nia's hand and shook it warmly and confidently, another bright smile beaming. Of course she wanted to be friends! "Umm hello, of course I do! You're gorgeous! Is that your natural hair colour? I am jealous!" she chimed joyfully, admiring the red hue. In her heart, Juliet was very relieved- a new school was scary enough, and making a friend so quickly would definitely make things easier. Now, the next thing to do was find out everything about Nia, exchange numbers and social media, buy matching backpacks, weave friendship bracelets, paint each others nails and talk about crushes. Well, maybe not immediately, but some day when they were amazing superhero bffs. For now...

"Thank you! I wanted a catchy name for my quirk. Speaking of quirks, you never said yours! What is it? Or..." she leaned forward, and looked around discreetly. "Is it a secret? My, how mysterious!" she whispered playfully. Maybe Nia was the type that wanted to size everyone else up before showing off her insanely powerful, flashy quirk. She hoped she wasn't prying, it would be terrible to start off a new friendship by being pushy- especially when they hadn't even discussed cute boys or gossiped about anything yet.

Nia Davion
Well as far as first friends to have goes, Juliet wasn't bad at all. She seemed just as excitable and as outgoing as Nia, which would be wonderful! Although the complement caused Nia to shy just a bit, developing a small blush and tucking some hair behind an ear with an embarrassed chuckle. "Uhm.. yeah. It's natural." She answers, picking up a small lock of hair to accentuate. Following this Juilet leans forward and asks about her quirk. Nia seemed to be in an awkward spot here. She didn't say her quirk because she wasn't sure she was even supposed to, and even then people tend to have mixed signals about a quirk of her nature. Being able to read thoughts is a massive invasion of privacy after all. Nia usually used the communitive aspect- and always asked the person before doing anything deeper... at least 9/10 times. However, her quirk was useless without others, so being open would help.

"Oh, my quirk? No I'm not trying to be mysterious." She gave a dismissive wave of her hand. Then leans forward. "I have some form of telepathy. I can send and receive thoughts. I can tell what people are thinking if I make it a one-way connection. Don't freak out I'm not gonna like look at your secrets or anything! I ask permission with friends." That was just the smallest of lies there. She uses it when she thinks people are lying a lot. "If it makes you uncomfortable I can explain it more, or try it out. People tend to freak when I use it for the first time. Hearing another voice in your head is kinda." She makes a 'so-so' gesture with her hand.

Hazuki Shouryuu
Putting his feet up on his desk Shou leaned back lifting the front feet of his chair off the floor while other students made their introductions, some were a little reserved but most seemed hyped up enough to be his type leaving only a few that hadn't budged yet whether out of shyness or disinterest he didn't know. Tipping his head back he took an upside-down look at the pretty faced boy behind him who'd apparently decided his phone was more interesting, eventually catching the other boy's eye Shou smirked and gave a small wave. "Heya, how's it going?" He said enunciating a little more carefully than normal in case the guy had to lip-read through whatever was playing in those earpods of his.

Facing forward before his neck started to ache Shou took a look at a couple of his other immediate neighbours. The girl to his right who had made quite the perky greeting was chattering away quite happily with another girl, before he could size up his left neighbour the boy instead got up to show himself off with an awkward introduction entirely in English. "You would have to be pretty bausy to come study where you don't speak the language Mike." He remarked stumbling over the slang word as Mike sat back down.

"Wasn't What I'd have guessed believe me"
Mike muttered with a shrug before forcing some half hearted enthusiasm.
"I mean you take what's offered right? New experiences... change of pace and scenes, should be different, good.." a valiant attempt making conversation, a art form not entirely out of Mike's set of skills but a skill that wasn't ready to blossom and bask in the light of direct attention.
"it'll be a achievement to be able to say, I'm a big hit in japan...
you know if i succeed at all aha just uh, be nice as I learn"

IG42 IG42

Mike nodded his head as some sort of show of respect, no way he would offer a hand to shake like the fool behind him. It's been like five seconds or more and Lalo's gesture had been unreturned, in fact the girl next to him seemed disgusted by the fact she had to be sat next to the short stack of shining confidence. Lalo took his hand back but not his smile, "to late hot plate"
The boy grinned unable to take a loss unless directly stated that he has done some wrong doing or was in fact not as cool as he thought he was.
Instead Lalo slid over his desk to sit upright behind Mike and Hazuki
"ayo Mikey you and me are good already I can tell"
He punched Mike lightly in the back to get his attention having heard him speak of success and asking for leniency as he learnt Lalo continued
"eyy you'll learn quick, if I can get it so can you. And if ya boy there can speak like us we can speak like him. Give it time my friends, soon we will all laugh talk and smight evil together"
SpeedHunters73 SpeedHunters73

Mike couldn't understand how Lalo's self esteem was fuelled. Especially as he attempted to translate everything he said to the neighbouring seats around him. Never had Mike wished for class to start until the moment his own personal security was dwarfed by someone so outrageously sure of themself.
He needed a adult to give structure not some small Hidiyoshi knock off in a robe.

"Hey." No response. Itsuki sighed and repeated himself. "Hey. Get up, dummy." There was still no response. She was knocked out. Looks like he would have to use another method to wake the girl up. Today was the probably the most important day in her life and she was unresponsive no matter what he did. "Damn. Probably wasn't the best of ideas to let her play through the night. Huh, now that I think about it, why did I think that was okay?" He thinks out loud. A little too loudly if you ask me.
"Quiet, you old geezer." The Teenage girl responds to her dad. "I'm trying to sleep." Her voice sounded very flat and pessimistic.
"Did you forget?"
"Forget what?"
"Shinichi. Shinichi Academy, Remember? You got accepted. Today is your first day."
She groans as she stretches her arms a bit before responding. "Shinichi? You mean that-"
"Yeah, that school. Now, hurry up and change before you miss your chance." Itsuki leaves and goes downstairs to make breakfast. He wasn't the best at it like his former wife, but he had a few tricks up his sleeves. Alexis groggily gets up and exit her bed, the sudden chill hitting her skin behind her PJs making her shiver. "Damn it's cold. Okay." she heads for her closet and picks out a random outfit consisting of a clean yellow t-shirt and black pants and slips them on after taking a short shower and brushing her hair. She slips on her socks and tennis shoes and stuffs her bag with a few drawing utensils and a few projects she hasn't finished yet before brushing her hair a bit and leaving her room, walking downstairs. "Why did I agree to this again?" She mumbles as she walks down the stairs, preparing to leave. Itsuki wraps up Breakfast preparations and hands her some toast and bacon, which she starts to chow down. Itsuki stares at his daughter, grimacing at her obvious depressing aura. "You forgot, did you?"
"About what?"
"Why you wanted to do this. I was so proud of you when you came up to me that day and decided you wanted to become a hero, that you finally had a reason to become someone like me, a hero that I used to be. But..." He slows down, hesitant to say the next line. "You changed when they...went away. I know that you made it your duty to try and protect women like her from those monsters, but you can't save everyone, Lena. So please, try not to blame it on yourself." He ends. Alexis continues eating her breakfast, not once looking him in the eye. "Yeah. Okay." She starts to walk out, grabbing her keys on the way out and closing the door behind her. Except I could. As SH...I could have done so much more. The talk clearly wasn't much help for her. If fact, it probably made things worse for the girl. She couldn't save Suki...but that's why the other side of her existed...so she could save other victims like her...as the other side of her. It's a thought that always haunted her. She could have...but she decided to slack off because everything was going kinda alright for once. That was the biggest mistake in her life. ... Regardless, this time, she'll become the real thing. A hero, not a vigilante. Someone that people can look up to, not look down upon. This time, she'll do it properly.
Huh? She went back down to earth, having spaced out yet again in her thoughts. He was standing in front of her personal modified car.
800px-Plymouth_GTX_(41634240802).jpg
It's a painful memory looking at this car again. It was previously her mother's, with she inherited a few months before she passed. She had been fixing it everyday slowly but surely as 73 so it's pretty much almost brand new but there are a few more things to be done before she can finally call it finished.
This, however, would be the first time she actually drove it since then. All of it is so familiar... Nostalgic...every nook and cranny...every imperfection...let's see if I haven't gotten super rusty with this thing... Hopping inside, she gets accustomed to everything before finally putting in the keys, turning it on and driving out. It's a bit of a hassle but eventually, driving it becomes second nature to the girl.

KING CRIMSON! *Timeskip noises*... Shinichi Academy...

This is the place. Am I ready?
The building, the name, everything....it all intimidated her. "True Strike" read the kanji. "Shinichi"...That has to be a typo..."Shin'uchi" translates to True Strike, not "Shinichi", unless she missed something in learning Japanese. Regardless... Of course I'm not....but I guess that's the more reason to at least try. Listen, Alexis. You'll do just fine. You're a strong and independent woman, probably exactly like many of the others in there, you hear?
You can do this.

Shakily, she gently opened the door of her car and closed it behind her. Taking a deep breath to relax herself, she entered the building, the first of many steps of her official hero career. The building is a lot smaller than she anticipated, maneuvering and figuring out the floorplan relatively easy. It wasn't hard to find the classroom due to the plethora of students entering into one classroom in particular, but that just made her all the more scared. She takes a deep breath and steps inside, finding most of the desks occupied by many other students the looked like they could be the protag of any anime out there. She quickly takes her seat at seat number 4 and immediately shuts everyone out, not saying a single word to anyone.

Fuko Unmei, probably a teacher...or a lost soul, introduced himself followed by a potential drug addict by the name of Shiniyuku Hoshi. Immediately afterwards, the monitor at the front of the class turned on, revealing another guy. He looked... incredibly bored? Way to make your school look amazing...He introduced himself as the vice principal of the academy and went on a slight monologue about the rules of the academy, the entire time sounding both dejected and like there was a gun next to his head. Alexis listened to what they all had to say before once again shutting everyone out to doodle something. Did she apply for the right school? It doesn't really have the whole 'hero' vibe that was massively hyped up when she first saw it being built. She didn't feel comfortable in any of the schools that she was previously in and the fact that these guys had as much hero potential in the school's eyes as her didn't make things better, that is, if she didn't accidentally enter the wrong school by accident. She seemed it would be better off if she didn't say a word at all to anyone and stay quiet the entire time.

Chousokabe, Senka

"Since I'm normally blind without it."

The words hung in the air like the cry of early morning, suspended in strings of dew on evergreen reeds; not getting a chance to dry as the mist would lift regardless in the breeze that was Senka's facile smile. Brushing those beads off along with the expectation of collusion, she minced the statement under silence. The tranquility that settled in its stead, appearing as the calm before the storm in her calculated breaths. "What a coincidence!" Her voice didn't betray any surprise as she spoke, hand confidently reaching out instead to locate the bird through the taps of its feet "If you're blind without this little one, could your quirk be some kind of consciousness transferal?". Finger gently coaxing the bird in to let her touch its soft feathers, she calmly continued "Whatever it may be, Tajima-san's ability is undoubtedly more formidable than my own. So much so that I would feel ashamed to tell you." Senka clutched her hands over her chest and averted her face in a display of modesty.

It wasn't necessarily a lie, that her ability was less admirable than Tajima's. She was, in fact, the one who believed it the most. That cold damp room still haunting her in the shivers shooting up her spine. She sighed, "I can't very well show it either just like that..."

Watching the interactions pan out between the students was an… surprisingly dull experience to Unmei, to say the least, probably because he expected a bit more from them. He had expected to see what he could make out of his students from their interactions, however, he as only able to get a good grasp on about half of what his students were. Taking a single glance at the clock, he took note that there was about two minutes left of homeroom, and thus decided to break the silence that was class 3.

“Alright,” Unmei spoke up, a closed eyed look of somewhat dissatisfaction on his face as he calmly made his way to the center of the front of the room. "I hope you all got to create good first impressions.” As those words left his mouth, he subtly eyed several people he had his eye on. However, before they could have the opportunity to leave, he spoke up again in another topic.

“Since next period is Combat, I’ll go ahead and explain what we’re going to do.” He waved a piece of paper around, which looked like he had written something down on it. “With it being the first day and all, the school thought we could gauge everyone’s current combat ability with some simple team deathmatch esque sparring, minus the death, obviously. Not only will it help us see where you guys are struggling, it’ll be a good chance to practice working with people you’re not used to working with, as unforeseen team-ups might happen quite frequently during your career as a hero.”

Suddenly, he reached behind the podium and pulled out an extra gym uniform to hold up. “We’ll be going outside for this, so lets change into our athletic wear and meet up, yeah? We'll explain more about what’s going to happen when we’re there.” He wrapped up, grabbing some stuff from the closet and walking out of the room, with Hoshi following behind. "Way to make an activity as exciting as this sounds really boring...way to kill the vibe." He immediately starts to complain as he walks to the field.

"Like you were any better, you bafoon. Way to make yourself look like a crackhead in the front of the entire class." Unmei bites back, clearly not having much patience for criticism as he didn't even sign up to teach a class in the first place.

"Hey, at least I tried, okay?" Hoshi responds back before running ahead to make it to the field ahead of time. Unmei contemplates saying something back but decides to bury the conversation in the sand and just walk over to the field.

TIMESKIP : PERIOD 2

Currently, everyone stood in a large, but simple field ― it was spacious, the ground on the ends of the field, being mostly dirt and gravel, while there was a dense area in the middle with trees, a river, a bridge and a few rocks scattered about the place, the area the class was currently standing in right now. There was more than enough room for multiple matches to happen at the same time, and there was a space on somewhat higher ground where one could oversee everything clearly. Standing above it stood the man from morning announcements earlier, Kemuri Hitomi, looking down on them, smiling, clearly in a much brighter mood now compared to earlier. Next to him were the late arrivals that should have been there in homeroom.

The vice principal looked up at the sky for a brief moment. “Lucky. It just stopped raining,” He commented, before continuing back to the subject at hand. “So this is the new class?" How intriguing. As Unmei-sensei said earlier I assume, you all will be split into two teams, sparring matches will happen all throughout this big shitty field. The winners of the match will be determined by if a team manages to detain or immobilize students of the opposition for a minimum of five seconds or if there are more students on one side after time is up. This doesn’t mean that all need to be apprehended at the same time, so do what you want with that information.

Once the match has finished, there will be an award for the winning team. It may get exhausting for some of you, but do try your best. Also, I don’t think I need to say this, but, quirks...don't be afraid to go all out for this. The school's quite a distance away from here so...” Finally, he moves onto what was on the paper. “I have the teams. On team one, we have…
Kimura, Himawari, Takahashi, Chousokabe, Hazuki, Sano, Fenyr and Davion, lead by Hoshi-sensei, forming the green team.
And on the other...
Cestria, Aishi, Cauchemar, Teep, King, Tajima, Ceede and Lykan, lead by Unmei-sensei, forming the yellow team."

"Got that?" He asks the class and the teachers, as he rolls the paper up and places it inside his back pocket.

Hoshi waves a hand at Hitomi, expressing concern about the event at the mention of the name 'Takahasi'. "Wait, Takahashi? Do you mean..."

Before he could finish his sentence, however, Hitomi proceeds to answer what was most likely his question. "Oh, right. Because we had one team short a teammate, team green will have a special guest from Class 1 to assist them. Meet... Zennosuke Takahashi."

Kemuri looks over and motions a hand at Takahashi, coming out from the shadows of the trees, half expecting him to say something.
d340f29beff95fe2ed301bea5a55449f.jpg
"..." However, the orange haired ginger simply stands there and says nothing as he stares at the team he would enter. A bit of awkward silence ensues before eventually, Hitomi speaks up again to change the topic.

"...Anyway, moving on. Now, team up with your teams, put on your colored jerseys and get in opposite sides of the forest. I’ll be watching from up here, so I’ll be able to stop the match when I deem it getting out of hand. ” He's about to step off the rock, before stopping right at the edge and turning right back round, to tell the class of an extra little challenge.

"Oh, and an extra reward for anyone who can manage to hurt the opposing team's teacher...just to make things interesting." With that, he steps off and leaves to take his position at the observation point.

As he finishes, Unmei sighs at the revelation that he would have to participate as well. "Do we have to fight? Seems a bit unnecessary and a waste of time to have us on the field."

Hoshi takes the opportunity to poke fun at the new teacher, provoking him with: "What? You scared you'd lose?"

Unmei smiles slightly at his comment, before quickly shifting to a more serious tone of voice. "How childish...but I don't recall saying I was backing down." With that conversation done, Unmei heads to his side of the field while Hoshi heads to the other, with their respective teams in their colored jerseys behind.

ooc: just a few things about this: if we want to get through this part efficiently, then ooc communication about this part will be pretty important, and ideally, people would agree on a match outcome before it ends. Collab posts are much appreciated in this part, but can be done in single posts too. More info on how we'll do this under the 'First Battles' channel in the discord as well as the place you can ask questions on how we'll do this as well.

Eiro Sano
Hero Name: Sleet | 16 | Quirk: Flashfreeze
Interacting: Nia ( Duke of Doge Duke of Doge )

________________________________________________________________________________
After changing into the provided winter gym uniform, its black-and-white color scheme surprisingly fitting his entire aesthetic, Eiro found himself waiting in the field alongside his fellow classmates. He listened closely to the Vice Principal's words as he explained the reason for them being outside, but his eyes were glued onto the river dividing them from the other side of the field throughout the entire explanation. The moment his sensei had uttered the word "Combat" back when they were still in the classroom, Eiro had switched into a combat-ready state of mind. While, of course, he didn't want to cause any harm to his new classmates, if participating in activities such as this meant he would take one step closer to becoming a hero, he would do so while trying his absolute hardest not to hurt them.

A small portion of Eiro's worries dissipated once Kemuri revealed that victory could be attained via immobilization. Fine. All I have to do is freeze their feet. Good. He took note that he was on team one, his eyes snapped onto each member of his team who's name he actually knew, and he was slightly relieved to see that at least one of his closer seatmates was allied with him for the time being. While his mood was definitely lifted after receiving this information, something still worried Eiro, and that was the fact that, out of everyone on the 'enemy' team, the only one who's quirk he had even the slightest grasp of was King's. Even then, the only real info he had on her was the quirk's name. He supposed it was fair that he didn't know, considering he didn't reveal his quirk during his own introduction either.

The introduction of Takahashi barely fazed him, and he briefly glanced at their extra teammate before stepping off to the side to grab a green jersey. As he slipped the jersey over his jacket, he paused to collect his thoughts and come up with a concrete plan about this. There were eight people on each team, along with one teacher each. Because of this, it was very likely that four teams of two would form in order for things to be organized and not break into an all-out brawl. That meant he would need a partner. He looked around at his other teammates. Of course, Chousokabe would have been the ideal choice, especially since she was the only one to speak to him directly so far, but the fact that she was his only true acquaintance at the time was also a problem. He needed someone he hadn't spoken to, someone who he knew he would be able to get along with enough to make it through this exercise. It was then that his eyes landed on a slightly-familiar head of red hair.

He quietly approached Nia Davion, the very first person to introduce herself once class had begun. From what he was able to gather during her introduction, she seemed kind, determined, and respectful. All qualities that he was searching for in a potential partner. Once he was close enough, his silver eyes locked onto hers, and he spoke, his voice as soft and monotone as ever. "...Davion-san. I'm sorry to bother you." after apologizing, he broke eye contact for a split second, before looking at her again. He had to be straight to the point if he wanted someone to team up with him. "Do you wanna... team up?" as a display of good faith (and to show her that he wasn't as useless as he appeared), he decided to reveal his quirk. Opening his palm out to her, a layer of frost quickly overcame it, and a sharp icicle began to form, before quickly breaking down into a small pile of snow.

A battle on the first day, really? Juliet had put extra care into curling her hair that morning, she was a little sad that is might get wet- or worse, depending on what happened during this chaotic brawl. She had listened closely to their instructions, and rose an eyebrow when it was mentioned that they will get an extra reward for harming a teacher. Her gaze had shifted to Hoshi-sensei, she liked his attitude a lot and didn't want to cause him any grief- but she was fairly competitive, so if the chance presented itself she would make a move and apologize later.

Next she carefully scanned the field, it's open areas, trees, the river and the bridge. Unfortunately, she didn't have a good grasp on what everyone's quirks were and knew that it would be very important to keep her eyes and ears open to gather information. What's more, there was a student from another class to fill in a gap and he didn't look like a lightweight. Now for her team, it was obvious that they would need to break into twos... She pulled her yellow jersey on and figured out who the majority of them were, but her eyes settled on Lalo Teep. He had amused her with his adorable fumblings, and from his humorous and slightly inappropriate haiku she knew his quirk had something to do with throwing things, and this gave her a few ideas.

Also, he was an English speaker, and though she wanted to have some fun with him by not letting on that she could speak English too, she decided quickly that letting him know would be beneficial and maybe even a relief. Plus, he was cute, and that was never a bad thing. She quickly snatched a jersey for him and headed over. "Yo, Lalo!" She greeted in English with a giggle. "We'd make a cute couple, how about teaming up with me?" She winked and asked almost in a sing song tone. She would need to be careful, it was easy for her to slip into her dumb blond boy crazy facade but she didn't want it to be distracting or disarming for him- if they were on the same team, that is. "Annnnnd I'll be able to understand you! I figure if you can throw stuff really good, we'll have great chemistry." She beamed another smile and handed him a jersey. Throwing far and hard was one thing, but she wondered how good his aim was.
