a certain cupid's misfire has led to an emergency up in the skies. due to a moment of distraction, cupid's arrow has missed its mark. this isn't the first time such incident has happened. previously such mistakes are often swept under the rug. however, this time is an exception.

because one, the arrow's target was someone with a grand fate planned out by the higher-ups. and two, the arrow has already caused multiple mortals fates to change, including the person on the receiving end of the target's love which has become unreadable.

unable to rest with the uncertainty of the mortals' fate which could possibly lead to changes in any they come in contact with the higher-ups have decided to push the responsibility of realigning the mortals' fates onto the cupid as punishment.

in the end, the only plausible solution was to come down to earth and forcibly attempt to realign the target's fate as well as find the cure for the poison on the cupid's arrow. on this mission, the higher-ups have allowed cupid to be able to use any means and allows the usage of their powers.

however this time they really fucked up. since it was partially their fault they feel bad for getting cupid in trouble so they have secretly followed cupid onto earth to give their pal a little help. though they may have another agenda on descending to earth.

[div class=subtitle]the cupid[/div][/div] [div class="content"][div class=scroll]like every time the seasons change, she looked down upon the earth as she sat on the railing of her balcony. she was not fazed with an ounce of fatigue despite staying in the same place for hours with only her to entertain herself. on the contrary, she was still lively. sometimes she would tap her dangling feet together and other times she would start humming a random tune. with a small sparkle of excitement within her usually dead eyes, she began a count down in her head.

three..two...one!

a majestic cry of a myriad of bell chimes could be heard across the area. soon, the sound of cheer and laughter filled the previous silence. the world brightened, along with a light breeze. looking through the clouds below she could see small colorful patches, budding flowers. spring has come.

and just like many others, she had spring fever. after all, it was the season of love. after the bell chimes have stopped there were a few moments of silence. soon, the door to her balcony opened revealing a blonde curly haired girl. "ko! isn't it about time you already know to be ready to go to work? the holiday always ends when the spring equinox arrives. you haven't even brushed your hair!"

already used to doing this every year the girl didn't hesitate to get arisu off the railing. taking out a brush the girl went ahead in brushing off all the tangles within arisu's hair. Showing a slight smile "what do you mean angel, why would i want to get ready for work. if i could it'd be better if i didn't need to work and do whatever i want."

"yet you still go nonetheless."

"of course, only when i'm working there's some time for me to go down to earth."

hearing the other's answer had earned a sigh from angel. "if you really like going to earth that much why don't you just go ahead and request to reincarnate? you have more than enough contribution points to."

ignoring her question, arisu began to quickly button up her shirt and ran towards the door. "let's go angel! hurry or we'll be late to work!"

belonging in different departments the two went into separate buildings. as she entered she walked up towards the bulletin board which had all the available jobs or "targets". on the board there were countless notes and papers detailing the location, time, the target, and who the target is supposed to fall in love with along with.

lets see, the last time i went to europe and japan...maybe i should go back to somewhere in the states... skimming through the tasks she finally found one which spoke to her.

evelyn pierce. twenty-two just graduated as a film major from an arts college and is in portland for their outdoors female film festival...oh my gosh she falls in love with one of the featured film directors within the festival.

what the heck this is so...romantic! a forbidden love between two people working in the same field?! brilliant! marvelous! ten out of ten would watch again. whoever came up with this deserves to be god! alright, i have decided to go and support their love!

taking the paper off the bulletin board she gave it to one of the receptionists at the front desk indicating she would be taking this job for today. after it was approved she had gone off as fast as she could to reach one of the doors leading to earth. of course, helping evelyn wasn't the only reason why she was in a rush. after she finished the job she could take the opportunity to take a pill to make her appear human and enjoy the festival later.

with the location in mind, she turned the knob and opened the door. on the other side was a different view. the ground was filled with newly sprouted grass. various scents of meat, and sweets mixed together. she heard sounds of beer cans opening, popcorn popping, and various voices cheering and yelling from the countless people on picnic blankets filling the open field as the festival was free admission.

despite being in the middle of the crowd of people, not one person was alarmed at her sudden appearance. instead, they went on not noticing her presence and some even passed through her. ugh, i'll never get used to people going through me. taking a glance at the huge projector screen telling the time it was a couple of minutes before they started the first film. since the other party's film was the last film to be played she wasn't in a hurry to find evelyn and had the mindset of an avid participant of the festival, focused on the big screen.
