Asato Hisamune

Hisamune gave Lady Fujimoto a nod of respect. "Of course, I am sure my lady will be happy you came to see her." said Hisamune. He prepared to tunr around but stopped when he saw Lady Fujimoto turn around. His face flashed a slight red and he quickly opened the door and stepped inside. Realizing that Honoko was asleep, Hisamune gently shut the door and quietly made his way over to where he was sitting before. Now that he was back in his original spot he went back to staring at the ceiling and thinking about what ever stuff he thought about and drifting off into sleep.

Hanazawa cocked a wry grin at Fuka's last words. With a flick of his wrist he freed the old man's head from his shoulders, then swiped his blade clean in the same motion.

"I wonder if it's easy to act all high and mighty like that when you know you're gonna die?" He pondered idly to himself as he bent over to collect his prize. He would ave his answer eventually, he was sure, but for now he need to ensure it wasn't today. Slinging the trophy over his shoulder he began to fall back into the crowd of retreating vanguard troops before just remembering his ally was still fighting.

"Yo! Hashimori or whatever!" He called out to Yori "We're overstaying our welcome, we gotta go!" He didn't even give Yori time to respond as he bolted into the crowd.

Nearly a day had passed since the retreat had been given and the broken remains of the Shogunate army had gathered at a rendezvous point just over the border, throwing up an impromptu camp to tend to the many wounded.

Masaki sat beneath a tree on a hill some ways away taking a drag from his pipe and looking down on his troops. Of the 8,000 men he brought with him more than a third were missing. Coupling that with the apparent complete eradication of the chosokabe's main army ment this defeat had been more than just an embarrassment, it was a tragedy, and beyond that it was his own fault. If he'd been more patient, if he'd been more prepared, if he'd just plain been a better commander, then maybe this could have been avoided.

But while he would probably have preferred to continue beating himself up over his own gross ineptitude, he was taken from his thoughts as something hit the ground next to him with a dull thud.

"I see at least you had some success today." Masaki said dryly, blowing another cloud while only barely glancing at what had been placed beside him.

"Old man wasn't as good of a fighter as he thought." Hanazawa shrugged and leaned against the tree. "Went with some dignity though, guess that's all most people ask for."

"Hm. Guess so." Masaki said automatically, not really thinking to consider what it meant, and so Both men sat there wordlessly for a time waiting for an idea as to what to do next.

"Mizuaki stop!" Shugachi called as he tried to hold back Mizuaki who was stomping towards the tree Masaki sat below. While he might try as hard as he could Mizuaki was too strong and angry for him to hold back. She simply was dragging him along with her as she stomped up the hill stopping as she saw Masaki. Her fist clenched she pointed to the camp her body shaking with rage. "We got done counting our troops 1,000 men gone just like that. I don't give a damn that we ran, I don't care that they died that isn't what is pissing me off. What the hell took so long!? Why the hell did we stay for as long as we did!" Shugachi stood in front of her pushing against her shoulders he tried to reason with her. "Running too quickly would mean he'd of been killed off from behind it's not his fault!" Mizuaki shook her head.

"NO! You saw it we could of ran why didn't we!" Shugachi turned away slightly. "I was the one who choose for us not to run, I feared us being seen as cowards and traitors. So if you have anyone to be mad at be mad at me!" Mizuaki stopped she looked between Masaki and Shugachi before clicking her tongue and turning around. She walked away while under her breath she added. "Dumbass." Shugachi couldn't tell if the insult was towards him or Masaki. None the less he turned to Masaki and bowed to Masaki. "Let me apologize on behalf of my partner Lord Masaki."

The feelings and emotion Honoko had been burying inside herself came out in her dreams. Her dreams started nice but soon turned ugly and dark. It started off with her parents death. The man with the scar slaughter her parents right before her eyes and then turned to look at her and slowly started coming towards her. She yelled and called for help but no one came but then suddenly she could see a blade coming down at her she closed her eyes thinking this was it but never felt the blade hit. Instead she began to hear clashes of steal and men crying out. She opened her eyes to find herself in the battlefield. Honoko started looking around for something to fight with, when she saw a discarded sword she bent down to pick it up, but stopped when she noticed something. Her hands were red with blood on them. She gasped as her hands began to shake and realized in that same moment she didn't hear anymore fighting. When she looked up to see what was going on she saw dead men laying around her. "Did I.." She looked down at her and tried to wipe the blood off but it wasn't going away. Then she felt something grabbed her leg. She looked down to see a dead men looking up at her then suddenly lunging toward her. She woke up with a scream. "Ahhhh!" She started breathing heavily and shaking and quickly started looking at her hands. Still freaked out from her dream and not totally snapping out of it she thought she still saw blood on them and started try to wipe them off. "Get it off get it off...." Tears started streaming down her face. At this moment she slowly came to the realization she was awake. She had no idea if she had been talking in her sleep and if anyone was beside her she hadn't fully taken noticed yet.

Komori Takahiro and Komori/Fuka forces- Night of the battle.

Takahiro didn't move a muscle as he watched, he didn't move when Lord Fuka's head was freed from his shoulders, he didn't move when he foe grabbed the head, nor did he move when the enemy fled. The battlefield was still, The imperial forces had won, yet to many of them this didn't feel like a victory. Once the enemy had retreated Takahiro began barking orders to his and the Fuka soldiers, "Gather up the bodies of our fallen, make sure the wounded are tended to, and grab any weapons you can! Especially the Rifles. Don't leave a single rifle behind for the enemy to take!" yelled Takahiro. The Komori forces followed his orders instantly and slowly but surely the Fuka forces followed as well. It took a while but eventually the work was finished the Komori/Fuka forces returned to the castle and camps to go and try to sleep for the rest of the night. Well all except a few.

Lord Fuka's closest retainers had gathered his body and placed it on a wooden and cloth stretcher. With Grimm faces they carried the body back to the castle under the escort of Takahiro and his personal guards. Once they got to the castle the Fuka retainers thanked Lord Komori and went off to go inform the castle staff, Family, and take care of the necessary mourning and preparation of burial. Grimly Takahiro returned to the Komori camp and went to sleep, he would speak with the other leaders tomorrrow.

Asato Hisamune

The sound of struggling and someone talking awoke Hisamune immediately. His eyes shot open and he looked around for the source of commotion. Seeing no threat inside of the room his gaze fell upon Honoko who seemed to be haveing some kind of nightmare, "Looks like this battle took more of a toll on you then you thought." Whispered Hisamune. Deciding there was no way he was going to go back to sleep he would remain awake wehre he was to make sure she was alright.

Honoko looked up when she head whispering. She turned her head to see Hisamune sitting in the same spot he was before. For quick second she had forgot she wasn't alone in the room. She felt bad she knew he was her bodyguard but what kind of clan leader wakes up screaming from nightmares. She always tries to act calm regal and in control but honestly she's always freaking out inside. She hated it, she hated being clan leader, she hated that she had to be involved in this war and she was scared. Which made her feel weak and just hate herself. "Hisamune....I'm sorry" She was still crying and didn't even realize she had just called him by his first name.

Shirobara Hiroshi - Ito Yukimitsu
Time: Day time
Place: Ito's residence

It's a fine day as Yukimitsu's drinking tea in his garden alone. He has been enjoying days away from battles and politics in this damn country, where blood is ready to spill just for the smallest thing. He enjoyed his tea so much more than anything in this world, more than even the deatj of men that had done him wrong in the past. A few day ago, when someone informed him that his former master - Chosokabe - has been killed in the battlefield, he couldn't care less about it. He didn't bother to party, to laugh or even say "I told you so". Yukimitsu is now a free man and the fate of the Chosokabe is no longer his concern anymore.

- Ito-sama. You have guest.

A servant walks in and informs him.

- It's lord Hiroshi of Shirobara clan.

Yukimitsu laughs in pleasure. He's happy that an old friend still remembers him. He only met the founder of Shirobara for a few time in the past and He has to admit that is a man to respect. He personally like the man but due to his business he had no time to visit him in Hitachi. Now to see that his old friend still misses him and visits him, Yukimitsu is more than happy.

- Welcome him inside! Quickly. Darn him, I haven't seen him for a very long time. Prepare us our best tea.

The old man prepares himself in a formal dress and come to the living room, there he sees lord Hiroshi is already there, with his signature long hair and his gentleness in gestures.

- Isn't that the mightiest sword in the whole East, Shirobara Hiroshi, come to see an old man like me. What an honor.

- Master Ito. The honor is all mine. - Hiroshi smiles gently.

- Darn you, look at you. You haven't changed a damn thing since I last saw you. How do you keep your look so young, you're already near sixty. You have to teach me that. - Yukimitsu says with a joking gesture.

- Oh master Ito, you know that this is just something made by god to screw with me. If the god of time has ever treated me well, I would not needed to leave my son the responsibility he is not ready to, and would not send him to war as well...

Lord Hiroshi talked about his sickness. Despite his young and beautiful appearance, he has an incurable diseases that has damaged his health for a long time. His father had that and now he has been fought it ever since he's 40. The sickness weakened him and made him cough blood. When he's only 48 he had to let his son Osamu rule the clan because Hiroshi's so weak to do so. He sometimes stated it's a curse in his family, cursed the Shirobara's men to do great thing.

The two share a brief moment of silent, enjoy their tea. Seem like both of them don't want to speak about the matter of Hiroshi's sickness again.

- How about your son, Lord Osamu ? Has the life of a daimyo fitted him ?

- He's leading Shirobara's army to aid our lord Katagami in the battle again the imperial loyalist.

- Lord Osamu is such a fine man, only at his twenties and already a daimyo and lead an army to war. You know, there is an saying :"If you want to know how to raise a son right, come ask the Shirobara."

Lord Hiroshi stays silent and drinks his tea. He knows that saying and indeed he's proud of his son. But the same time he's worry about him. Osamu is still very young and inexperienced, he still needs to learn a lots. Lord Hiroshi understands that he will not be able to stay at Osamu's side forever and he will soon leave. When that happen, Osamu would be all alone and Hiroshi fear the worst would happen to his son and the clan.

- Actually, master Ito, that's why I'm here. As an old friend, I would like a favor from you, can you help me ?

- Just tell me what's in your mind.

- My son is still young and inexperienced, he has only become a daimyo for a few years and I feared the worst happens to him when a more harder challenge come to us, especially when the age of war is about to come. I would like you to come and assist my son, be by his side, advise him, mentor him.

Master Ito listens to Hiroshi's offer to become their retainer, he's surprised. He rubs his chin, considers his options.

- I'm just an old...

- PLEASE MASTER ITO! - Before Ito Yukimitsu could say anything, lord Hiroshi stops him as he bowed down to him, keeps his head close to the floor. The action makes Yukimitsu unable to say another word. - My son need you, this clan need you to guide it. My time would come soon. I would not be able to rest peacefully knowing my clan would die in the age of war. Please give me your word that you would watch over my clan, over my Osamu.

Master Ito Yukimitsu is speechless and surprised, he doesn't know that lord Hiroshi's intention was so strong. Hiroshi has never bowed down to anyone before but now he's doing it for the sake of his family. The man goes here alone, without servants or bodyguards, bowed his head down to Yukimitsu to offer a service. Yukimitsu's touched by that act, only a true father and a true man would have the power to do everything for his family.

- Get up lord Hiroshi! Of course I would not refuse you! What a great father you are and I can only feel honored that you leave your son and your clan to me. I give my words that I would do anything to serve the Shirobara clan to greatness.

- Our family is forever in your debt, master Ito...

Those words from master Ito give lord Hiroshi relief. He gets up from his knee and looks at Yukimitsu with a grateful look. He travelling on foot to visit master Ito has shown to be a right decision and now he's satisfied with the result. As lord Hiroshi leave, his plans are still not completed, there are still more things to do for his clan. His next movement is to Mito castle, the castle of lord Katagami.

*Ito Yukimitsu has joined Shirobara clan*

Hisamune watched her in silence, A light smile touched his face. “You have nothing to apologize for. Crying is perfectly natural, after all no one expects you to be the image of a stoic clan leader all the time. In fact crying just means you still have a heart.” He looked over at Ransu for a moment and then Back to Honoko. “Of course saying all of that doesn’t mean I want to see you cry, after all you don’t need to because you have me and all of your retainers. They may not know what you have gone through but every one of us is here for you, that’s why if your ever scared, in pain, or in need of help you can come to any of us and well will be there.”

Komori Takahiro-

Takahiro exited his tent early that morning, it was time to plan their next move. He was me by a series of mesasngers at the entrance to the Komori camp and sent one to each of the other clans to request a meeting. The messengers nodded and headed off to go deliver their messages to the Ikkio, Furo, Fujimotto, Tanako, The Mibu, and Ottomo clans to meet him in the war room. Once the messengers were sent Takahiro set out alone to the war room.

As he walked he took note of the solemn faces of the guards, the crying of the servants, and general atmosphere of despair hanging around the castle, yesterday was a victory for the Imperial forces, but it was a loss for the Fuka clan. The walk down the hallways were completely different. There were no soldiers rushing back and forth, no children playing or hiding, no noise but the sounds of footsteps.

When he reached the war room he silently opened the door and stepped inside, lightly closing the sliding door behind him. He took a seat in the same spot as yesterday. Takahiro removed his helmet and placed it on the table in front of him, he had no desire to wear it at the moment.

Hanazawa stood up and growled as the mercenaries approached but simmered back as Masaki waved him down. Lord Katagami took Mizuaki's castigation without much of an apparent reaction, only even bothering to look over as Shugachi revealed that he had willingly chosen to keep his forces in the fray.

Masaki stood as Mizuaki stormed off and brushed away Shugachi's apology.

"Tensions are bound to be high after the losses we took. You've got nothing to apologize for." Pocketing his pipe he stepped forward to get a better view of the camp, and the men. "If anything, I should be thanking you. If you hadn't handled those rifles we would have suffered far greater casualties. It might not mean much, but as far as I'm concerned you've more than proven your loyalty." He nodded slightly, but sincerly to the mercenary. It wasn't much, but it was as much of a real sign of thanks as he'd given anyone in a long time.

"In any case, we shouldn't linger here much longer. The imperials will likely have patrols out here soon and we wouldn't want to get caught up in a skirmish with all these wounded. We'll be returning home to Hitachi, you and your men are welcome to follow if you have nowhere else to go." With a bow Katagami turned and left, however Hanazawa lingered just a bit longer slowly gathering up his sword and the grim trophy lord Fuka had given him.

"Oy, sis." He spoke in his deep tone once Masaki seemed far enough away. "'Friendly advice, y'should probably keep that mutt of your's on a tighter leash. Wouldn't want him to find out there are bigger dogs in the world than him, would we?" The swordsman chuckled to himself and followed after his master.

Shugachi bowed his head as Masaki thanked him. "It was only the logical choice at the time. Death in combat is only expected by us Oniware. Mizuaki is just heated about losing so badly." He turned in order to go off to find her but stopped when he heard Hanazawa speak to him. Shugachi turned with a bright smile on his face clicking his tongue as if calling a dog. "Aren't you a cutie you better hurry your off to you owner before he leaves you behind." He turned away walking down the hill he found Mizuaki with her Yari in hand. She sighed looking up at Shugachi holding it up the spear end broken. "That Arashi guy broke it with one swing." Shugachi looked around at the other men they were tired, beaten, yet none seemed to be demoralized. This was but a minor set back that how they all were seeing it he decided it best to do the same. "Well be following Lord Masaki to Hitachi to load back up on weapons and supplies. Since the village is too far away right now."

Mizuaki sat her Yari down resting her head in her hand she pointed at Shugachi. "Who died and made you queen?" Shugachi clenched his fist he knew she was just trying to get to him. "But I guess if I was as pretty I'd be able to boss everyone around also." That was it Shugachi grabbed her by her shoulders. "Shut up already you idiot!" The other men started to chuckle Mizuaki then lifted up Shugachi like he weighed nothing swinging him around. "Put me down damn it!" Mizuaki and the others laughed one man called out. "Oy Mizuaki why not just use Shugachi as your new weapon." Mizuaki slung him over her shoulder. "Not a bad idea." Shugachi wrapped his arms around her neck making Mizuaki let go of him. He landed on his back with a soft oof. They all broke into a loud laugh Shugachi joining in with slight chuckles.

Honoko stopped her crying feeling a bit better now. She wiped her eyes and looked out the her window where she could see the stars. "I honestly don't trust people enough for that.....except for you." She laid down and turned to look at Hisamune. She smiled at him. "Thanks Hisamune" After that sleep took her and she drifted off this time ti better dreams. The next morning the messenger came and knocked on Honoko's door. Honoko stirred a bit but didn't wake up. "Hello? I have a message for Lady Tanaka?" Honoko stirred some more and began mumbling. "I don't want any thanks." She was pretty much still asleep. He then proceeded to slide the door open. As he did that Honoko opened her eyes slightly. "Huh?"

A few days passed as the Katagami army returned home and Mito castle was a welcome sight. The soldiers were welcome warmly as they passed into the bustling town that surrounded it, but cheers soon turned to a grim silence as it became obvious that they weren't returning in triumph. The troops dispersed into the crowd as families reunited with those that were left and shed tears for those who had remained behind.

Masaki returned to his castle without a word, shedding his armor and some of his bandages as he retuned to his room. Clutching a bit at his side, he gave a deep sigh. What he really needed now was a hot bath. However before he could relax a messenger appeared at his door.

"My lord. I hope I'm not intruding but the elder Lord of the Shirobara has been waiting for some time to speak with you."

"Hiroshi?" It had been some time since he had seen his mentor, but it was strange that he would come to Mito while he was away. "Tell him I can see him right away." With a bow the servant quickly shuffled off.

"Just what are you up to old man?"

The next morning, Lord Otomo Eiichi woke up quite satisfied with the world. He quickly got dressed in European styled clothing.
Holbein_henry8_full_length.jpg
Eiichi spent the early hours of the morning practicing with his rapier before attending to the concerns of his army. Another thousand men had arrived and the rest were due the next day. He received a message as well that his navy had crushed the Chosokabe navy completely with not a ship remaining. The next messenger summoned him to the meeting, and he hastened to the meeting.

He walked into the room and found a single lord, from his marking, Eichi percieved him to be from the Komori. He spoke softly. "Good morning Lord Komori. Its a pleasure to meet a fellow lover of muskets. Tis a pity what happened yesterday. I wish my cavalry could have arrived a bit more swiftly."

Asato rose from his spot against the wall and walked over to the door. The messenger at the door bowed, "Forgive me for the interruption. I am in the service of Lord Komori, He has requested That the leaders of the clans or their representatives meet in the war room." The soldier remained bowed and waited for permission to leave. "Thank you soldier, Someone will be down in the war room shortly. You are excused." he said. The messenger nodded in thanks and took off down the halls to return to his other duties.

Hisamune turned to look at Honoko and gave her a half smile.
"Are you well enough to attend or do you want me to find someone to go in your place?" asked Hisamune.

Komori Takahiro

He looked up from his helemt when he heard someone enter the room. He was dressed in European clothing and despite this being a new age only a handful of daimyo's were known to dress like that, the only one presnt at this castle was the lord Ottomo. "Greetings to you as well Lord Ottomo, I assume you have heard the news of Lord Fuka's death." said Takahiro. Most of the lords should have heard of the Fukashi lords death, at least the man had died with a smile.

Lord Otomo nodded grimly. "Does put a damper on the victory. Although," a dangerous smile played across his face. "I finally got to deliver our long awaited victory to the Chosokabe. I cannot be very sad at all." He jerked his finger out the window. "If you would like, I would be willing to give you all the muskets and trebuchet as a gift. I have no real need for them, and I'm sure you would appreciate them the most. Of course I would like to see some friendliness coming from the Komori."
Eiichi tapped his finger on the table.

Komori Takahiro-

A light smile crossed his lips at the prospect of obtaining those extra weapons. They would indeed be most welcomed by the Komori. "Very well, what would you like in turn for your generous gift?" asked Takahiro. He was sure that the man had an underlying motive, almost everyone did. It was human nature to have an ulterior motive, if Lord Ottomo didn't have one it would be a big surprise.
Blitzer Blitzer

Eiichi smiled internally but didn't change his facial expression. He had him hooked right now. "Well, I was thinking, it would be excellent if the Komori opened their lands to our trade and possibly Christianity. These are all good things. Futhermore, I would like your support in pushing for a double offensive, sweeping as side the Chosokabe with regular forces and penetrating the Shogunate's lands straight for Tokyo. It would be a spear head unlike that we have seen for many years. Lastly, I would like your support in taking lands conquered. In return, I will support lands that you claim. A win win for both parties eh?"
Lord Otomo ran his hand down the table.

Hisamune looked Honoko up and down once. Her falling robes and nervous tone, yep if anyone would have witnessed this conversation out of context it would be a recipe for disaster. "Wouldn't dream of it my lady, Thou just a thought but perhaps you might want to collect yourself before heading to the meeting. Starting with your robes and hair." said Hisamune as he walked over to his armour.

He picked up the chest piece and slid it on, then the gauntlents, and last but not least the helmet. Finally he bent down and picked up Ransu before turning around and heading for the door. He stopped at the door for a moment
"Hisamune huh? Pretty sure that's the first time you've used my first name in a long time, Kinda started to forget what it sounded like when other people said it." He said before stepping out the door and closing it behind him. Now he would wait for her to finish getting ready.

Komori Takahiro-

Takahiro listened to Lord Ottomo's words with a nuetral expression on his face, when the other lord finished stating his terms a light smile touched Takahiro's lips. "Lord Ottomo your offer is a very generous one however I will have to refuse. You may and your people may be ready to excpet the Europeans with open arms but my people are not. Allowing the faith of Christianity into my lands would be a betrayal of not only my peoples but my retainers, and families trust. Your goods are always welcome given that there origin is from your lands not from a far away land and that they do not contain the likes of Christ. The war plans are an entirely different matter, one that must be discussed in more detail at a latter date." When He finished speaking he looked up at Lord Ottomo to see his reaction, Takahiro was in favor of a progressive nation that is why his army is well equipped with muskets, however his people were still rooted in the belief of the godly emperor, something he didn't see a need in changing.

"Huh?" She walked over to a mirror to look at herself. Her eyes widen clearly not liking the sight she saw. She quickly pulled up her robe over her shoulder and started smoothing out her hair with her hands. She then sighed and turned her head towards Hisamune when he heard him speak.

"Hisamune huh? Pretty sure that's the first time you've used my first name in a long time, Kinda started to forget what it sounded like when other people said it."

She blushed slightly and watched him leave. She had almost forgot about that. She then stood up to get ready though she realized she might need some help. She walked to the door and slid it open and quickly caught the attention of a maid walking by telling her to come in. As the servant girl was helping her get ready she noticed the sad look on her face. "Something wrong?" Honoko asked. The servant girl looked at her a bit shocked for a moment then realized she hadn't heard the news yet. "It's Lord Fuka My Lady he got killed last night during the battle." Honoko looked at her a little shocked. She did noticed how quiet the place was this morning but she never imaged that was why. Once she dressed and ready she picked up her fan and walked out of her room. She then turned to Hisamune. "Come on let's go."

Time: Day time
Place: Mito Castle
Characters with:Katagami Masaki

With the approval from the servant, Hiroshi gently walk in Mito castle. It's has changed so much since the last time he came here. He remembered the first time he was summoned here, invited by lord Masanori to instruct their sons swordmanship. He had to come here daily for many years to train all the children of the Katagami. One of those was Masaki, the current daimyo of the Katagami, he was Hiroshi's favorite student. Masaki's talented, strong and one of the most hard working student he's ever worked with. Hiroshi was glad that despite all the war inside the family, Masaki finally became the lord of the Katagami's clan and not one of his brothers. He believe that Masaki has a good and strong heart, unlike many of his brothers. That's why he's also believe that Masaki would do the right thing today.

As he walked in the room, he saw lord Masaki's already there waiting for him. Hiroshi immediately bowed his head down.

- I, Shirobara Hiroshi, your servant from Ito, have come to see you my lord.

Hiroshi stood up following the order from his lord.

- How are you feeling right now my lord ? I hope I don't interfere with your time to rest. Have your injuries from the battle been healed lord Katagami ?

SAIGO-NO-HEATS SAIGO-NO-HEATS

Lord Otomo sighed internally. True, he hadn't expected him to accept that condition, but one could always true. He arranged his face in a slightly disappointed look. Anyway he could use this as a diplomatic ply as if he was retreating from a point he had really wanted. Even as a devout Christian, he knew he couldn't win every thing. "Well, Lord Komori, I can cut that from the deal, but, in exchange, you will pay the price of 1/4 the weapons that I give, and you will promise to support me whenever I claim any land that I take. Agreeable?"

Eiichi paused for a second. "Oh and if I were you to avoid what happened yesterday, I would introduce into your musket corp a unit or two trained with swords and armored. They are very useful to use against archers as well."

Yori had enjoyed moving with the army as it retreated, despite the slightly down spirits it just meant that there were more small things, be it games or fights, to try and raise moral. While on the move however he was in a slightly odd spot, he officially had never been told that he was no longer part of Lord Katagami's unit but equally well he was just a simple Ronin with no clan, even one that he might have left. With this predicament he traveled near the lord but always keeping to the edges of his group.

Once the force arrived back at Mito castle Yori made sure to find a nice spot in the corner of the main barracks before throwing up a hammock connected to the wall and one of the support columns. It was one of the things that Yori had grown to love on his travels, the gentle rocking always made him more comfortable. He then moved to the training ring, while it is likely that few experienced fighters were not brought with the army even thos left behind could offer some challenge.

Masaki nodded towards his old master as he entered.

"My wounds are healing as well as they usually do." He unwrapped some of the bandages around his arm, revealing just a few of the scars that had marred most of his body for some time, some of which had clearly healed better than others. "But I've made it through worse, so I'll live."

"So what brings my old teacher to my home on such short notice?" He looked back to Shirobara and got straight to the point. "I'd been informed that your condition makes traveling difficult, so I can only assume It'd be a matter of some importance."
