Amoeba of Wisdom
Roleplay Type(s)
For as long as history has been written, there were 5 kingdoms in the world of Linhael (Lin-Hi-Eel). These 5 nations were the governing powers of the world. Each ruler(s) wielded a power that rivaled that of the gods and with that great power, they forged their kingdoms.

Centuries pass and these kingdoms have been through times of war and tentative alliances among themselves time and time again. One kingdom could not completely destroy the other no matter how hard they pushed. They were all equal in strength and after several hundred more years, a state of equilibrium had been reached.

maxresdefault-jpg.302335

For a time, these kingdoms knew peace and while it was tentative, the lands flourished with trade and cultural diversity. It was only when another kingdom rose from the depths of the world that this equilibrium was shattered and the planet was hurtled in a battle royal styled war that was longer and bloodier than any war the world had ever seen. This war lasted decades and the sheer destruction of the final battle was enough to scar the planet permanently

The World Scar

(Closest thing I could find to what I had in mind)

All of the rulers clashed in one gargantuan battle and as their wills and godlike powers raged against each other, world had cracked. A large chasm opened in the center of the battlefield which painted that part sky crimson red and turned the clouds as black as night. Life could no longer grow there and thus is was called "The World Scar". It served as a permanent reminder of what should happen if these rulers were to try and disrupt the balance.

3757937-battlefield_by_88grzes-d72zfe4-jpg.302339

A forceful ceasefire was made, though assaults and raids were still sent after the new 6th kingdom out of spite.

The world had enjoyed roughly 3 decades of peace before an official meeting between the six rulers occured. One that promises to usher in a new age of peace and prosperity. But something went wrong during the peace signing and all of the rulers were simultaneously attacked. While no ruler was successfully assassinated, they were all heavily wounded and this caused the relationships between the kingdoms to fall into a state of turmoil once more.

The suspicion among the nations has been boiling and tensions have never been higher. There has been talk of a war that will completely end the planet. The populace is alight with talk of Armageddon and should this next war take place, it could very well decide the supreme power of the planet.

If there is a planet to rule by the end of it.

It has been several months since the failed attempt at a true peace. The rulers have all recovered from their physical wounds but any trust built within the last three decades has been crushed.

Reports of dark magic used against the light, water against dark, fire against lightning, and so on. Everyone heard and saw something different in that sudden and terrifying flurry of powerful magic. The only sure thing was that the power was Royal in nature. It had come from the royal families and it came without mercy.

For some, it was the gong of war. For some, it only proved what they always knew. And sadly, for some, it was the final nail in the coffin. No matter the result, it seemed peace was not possible between the nations. Fate always pushed for the destruction of the kingdoms and the dreaded events at The World Scar had only served to delay the inevitable.

Talk of Armageddon was on the tongue of every citizen of every nation. No matter how kind and benevolent the ruler, every single one of them had the same thoughts running through their minds.

No matter the outcome, they could not let their people die. They would survive. Even if they had to step over the ashes of the other kingdoms to do it.

(Every player will start off in their respective kingdoms, handling internal affairs for the first post. After that, you are free to hold meetings with each other, conspire, betray, or even wage open war. Your kingdoms are yours to control, players! Whether you lead it to prosperity or ruin, let it be your choices that make it so.

So good luck! May the worthiest kingdom stand the test of time!)

GRIMGUTZ IRONROT, DA GREAT KING OV DA FIRE KINGDOM!
Da Prancin' Squig
"Eat, eat, eat, eat!" A brutish chant repeated over and over again by an equally brutish mob. Normally, this would be replaced with the chant of 'drink' in any other scroungy peasant bar, but in The Great Fire Kingdom, that is not the case. No, that is not the case with the cheering crowd of greenskins urging on a young upstart and the current King, Grimgutz da Fireslayer. Yes, drinking competitons were something that the Great King participated quite regularly in, but this is a very Orky event. A Face-Eating competition is something completely different. In this glory-bound bar duel, two participants go jaw to jaw against a Face-Eating Squig, a bread-loaf shaped squig with a mouth full of teeth. The Ork must first hold the squig overhead, and face its horrid features, the drooling, the ravenous biting, the growling, and balance it on his own jaw in a strange parody of a kiss. The goal is to try and bite the Squig before it bites him. These face-eating squig competitions were notorious for causing scars across the face in a loss, but a great deal of respect for the winner, something that Orks craved.

With both patrons balancing the squig, waiting for the moment to try and flip it into their mouth, the King took a risk and opened his mouth wide open, the squig toppling into his own gaping jaws. With a grin, he chewed and swallowed the monstrosity. He turned to his opponent with a wide grin. His opponent, much too busy watching Grimgutz rather than his own squig, tipped too far backwards, the squig leaping off his jaw and mutilating his face. Victorious, the king raised his hands into the air as a crowd cheered and rushed to greet their victor. Teef were frantically passed around, a few utterances of disappointment, and handshakes were all to Grimgutz's approval. He was even offered a few dozen drinks by varying Orks. What's better to wash down squig with anyways?

Within the next hour, he was struggling to stay on his own two feet, having to have been guided by two of his elite Black Orks to his throne room. "Oi, dat woz a good one ya?" He absentmindedly blurted to his guard, who straightened the king up to stop him from slouching. "Boss, yoo've gotta stahp wif da bar crawlz e'rry noight boss. Dey're takin' a reel beatin' on yoo'r dipplomahtik appeeranz." Grunting, the King stood on his own as he began to walk again, leaning on the Black Orks for support every so often. "Pah. I guess yoo're roight ahn dat one. Wotz yer name boy?" "Ghazzy, boss" "Yoo'z gon' be me new dihplomat fer me, dat foine?" "Whateva ya say boss." Their boots echoed across the iron floor of the Throne Room. "Ahhhggg... Foist job." He said as he began to ease himself onto his throne. "Ah need ya ta assine a few boyz ta follow you to da Dark Kingdom. Taek dis wif ya. Don't read eht!" He handed a small letter to Ghazzy, who saluted and began to march himself out of the throne room.

"Mhhmmmmm." He settled himself down into his Throne comfortably, a deep yawn coming from his gaping maw. A large Ork appeared before him, his general. "Grimgutz." Raising his eyebrow, he snapped to full attention. "Wot iz it dis toime?" "We nohtized dat dere has been a incurzion ov feralz at Da Spyre. Word 'az been dat dere's been more ov dat 'umie down dere too, tryna get summa burnas or whateva. Wot're we goin' ta do boss?" "Euuuuughhh... Send in 'least 30 boyz, find 'em, bring 'em to me. Get back ta work."

Rubbing his tired eyes, he began nodding off to sleep.

Three days ago in the town of Mitis
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Emilia stood before the strange, half humanoid, half wolflike creature just outside of the town, staring down at it through her visor and panting softly. Her heavy spear pointed directly at the beast, cradled carefully by her gauntlets as she delivered a powerful thrust towards it's chest! The creature dodged the blow with an inhuman speed and bared down at her with claws and fangs in quick succession. She jumped back! Giving ground to take advantage of the range of her weapon, though it appeared to be all for not. Every attack she sent it's way was easily avoided as it crept ever closer. She gave more and more ground, back tracking into the thick woods as the beast approached with a mad mans grin. The fight appeared to be a losing one, Emilia couldn't get a single hit in and soon she would run out of woods or find herself cornered!

The fight broke into a small clearing in the woods, Emilia's careful footwork the only thing keeping her alive as the two danced an intricate dance, somewhat of a stalemate, the two of them could never seem to get the advantage over one another. Though the beast was certain of victory, he could outlast this puny human, he knew it!

Panting heavily now, Emilia's attacks began to slow, she circled the creature in the small enclosure who lunged and swept his claws at her mercilessly! The beast was eager now to end the fight, eager to end the young knight, it lunged and growled and even snapped at her with powerful fangs. Emilia's careful eyes watched for an opening, just waiting for the perfect moment to strike, she took a calming breath as she forced herself to focus, to ignore the adrenaline coursing through her veins and stay calm. The beast gave a powerful overhead swipe with it's clawed hand! That was her chance! She ducked under the creatures arm and took a step backwards and hefted the heavy spear, slamming the butt of it against the earth with a mighty force! There was a mechanical clicking noise, and suddenly from seemingly out of nowhere a great flowing flag spring from the inside of the spear which she waved high into the air! The beast didn't have time to think or ponder on the knights curious actions as the first silver tipped arrow pierced it's chest! Then the second, and a third and fourth! The greatbow archers hiding among the trees hurled a flurry of the almost spear sized arrows at the beast.

The creatures eyes went wide in shock, the trap had worked perfectly, a loud shriek escaped it's lips as it fell to it's knees until it's body slouched lifelessly to the ground. Emilia let out a deep sigh of relief, leaning against the spear for support as the rest of her group approached from the threeline. She lifted her helmet off of her head and basked in the the cool air, waving to her teammates, the hunt was finally over.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Presently in the barracks of Alisette
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The knight had arrived back at the city with the rest of her team sometime around the middle of the day, exhausted and ready for a nice break after the long mission most of them broke away from the group to head home, though Emilia still had business to attend to. The commanding officer wanted to debrief her personally, the matters in Mitis were something the order was taking quite seriously, the royals were hounding them for results and so results they would get.

Her commanding officer seemed to be busy, so she simply walked up and nudged him on the shoulder to make him aware of her presence intending to speak with him later. The Commander though, looked to her and saw escape, a way to appease to the royal hand if even just for a moment, he put an arm around the young knight and grinned. "Ahh! Actually you appear to have perfect timing, Emilia here was one of the guard I sent to mitis to check in on things, and surely she's back with news isn't that right?" he asked, nodding to the girl.

Emilia looked up to Nolan, then to her commander and gave a curt nod, lifting her chalkboard to write before holding it up to the royal hand. The small board read "We've taken care of the beast, town should return to normal" accompanied by an enthusiastic grin.

Reijingu
Rocks were falling below him, tumbling down the mountain as he climbed it. He was freezing cold but he had been ignoring it. Bodies had been laying on the rocks Reijingu had finally made it to the top of the mountain.

There, a menacing figure sat, meditating, dark energy flowing through him. The man had heard his approach and stood, only looking over his shoulder.

"I am Gouki, I walk the demon's path, give me your offering and fight or you will be killed" the man would say.

"I do not need an offering to approach you, Gouki" Reijingu replied.

The man turned all the way around to see Reijingu, aged by a few years.

"What is your business, boy?" Gouki said, his Killing Intent now dying down.

"I wish to train again." Reijingu replied, his scars glowing, begging to be unleashed, begging to take control.

"Hmph... Pathetic." Gouki said in response. "You must be training in your own domain if you wish to train"

He would pause looking at the edge of the mountain.

"However... I will let you train with me just this once to not make this meeting meaningless" Gouki had said after some reconsidering.

They both assumed a fighting stance, they both had Killing Intent flowing through their veins.

They rushed at each other almost in synchronization and knocked each other back again.

Reijingu would throw a fireball, Gouki would simply block it. Reijingu uppercutted but Gouki would dodge it. How could he get in?

He has it.

He would charge at him and jump high in the air. His fists would be covered in Killing Intent as he rushes down towards Gouki.

But Gouki... wasn't there.

He smashed his fist in to the snowy mountain looking to see Gouki gliding towards him.

He was grabbed...

"Tengoku No Ikari, die one thousand deaths!" Gouki would scream

A flurry of blows would follow, knocking the wind out of him.

Suddenly he was knocked down and Gouki stood above him triumphant.

"If you can only last that long, you obviously need more practice." Gouki said in disappointment

"Sometimes I doubt you were the one who had attempted to kill me... now leave and come back when you are stronger."

He had struggled to get up but managed and started making his way down the mountain.

He needed to find someone powerful to fight before he could go against someone as transcendent as Gouki was.

Gouki had trained so much, it could rival the Demon God Khaoul...

That's it... he would fight a god.

Mimikku
Mimikku would begin squirming around in his dungeon as he had received another mission telepathically. The guard's would open the gates to his dungeon and Mimikku would turn himself in to a bird, flying out of a nearby window.

Another scouting target. This one was high priority as well. Emilia, a knight of Elysium. This will serve Mimikku well, as knights of the light kingdom tend to have unique powers.

Mimikku would land near the barracks and then turn in to a dog, listening in on the conversation. They had killed a beast recently, interesting. Not if Mimikku had anything to say about it. Mimikku entered the barracks, still as a dog, and sniffed Emilia. The dog would then leave immediately. Mimikku now has the data for the beast and Emilia, time to leave

He would go behind an alley and transform in to a bird again. Mimikku would fly away, with the data of both Emilia and the beast who she killed. Once Mimikku returned to the castle, he would return to his cage, a guard would hear his entrance and shut him in the cage.

Mimikku returned to his default form and waited for the king to assign him another mission.

Scotty
Scotty had been in the bar, drinking again, getting in to occasional bar fights. It had been the first time those punks went home with a broken rib cage, but for Scotty, it was just Tuesday. He had plenty of shots to call himself on the brink of drunk. He would stop here before he actually WAS drunk.

He exited the bar to see the magnificent Light Kingdom. It LOOKED magnificent but, the truth was it was a shitty place for a kickboxer. They would arrest you on the spot for squaring up in public. Only place he could do it in was the bar because they actually know what fun is.

Scotty exited the bar, stretching his back a little before heading off. When he took is first step, he almost got ran over by a dog. He looked at the dog go in to an alleyway before disappearing. None of his business, dogs aren't too interesting anyways.

He would walk a little bit through the village before taking a right in to a blacksmith's workshop. He would approach the blacksmith working hard on his sword with fresh metal. Scotty would present an invite to a fight club. The old man would raise his eyebrows and reach for a lever in the back of a counter. A secret door would open behind the displays, leading to a stairway. Scotty would thank the man and head down there, the door shutting behind him. Below there were a crowd of people cheering as two people went at it in a small confined cage.

Scotty would join the crowd before another man approached him. The man in a suit grabbed his arm and led him to another cage with a medium-weight man with a beard, boxing gloves, and MMA trunks. A loud bell would ring and his opponent rushed him instantly.

To counter his sudden rush-down attack, he used his slash to stop him in his tracks, also stunning him momentarily.

"Alright, now take this! Power Bomb!" Scotty screamed as he grabbed his opponent's legs, lifting him up, and dropping him down on the mat as a follow up to his slash.

The man got up, shaken from the Power Bomb he had just received. He would charge him with a slash elbow, knocking him down once again, also knocking the wind out of him. The man would get up again and send a fist to his face, caving it in. He would groan in pain for a little and then resume the fight with the man.

"Alright then, take this, dumbo!" He screamed while launching himself almost to the top of the cage, making the crowd go crazy

He would land on top of the man, knocking him down AGAIN

"Now get up!" He taunted and almost as if scripted, the man got up, groggily but he still got up.

Scotty was going to finish him off.

He would kick the opponent's stomach extremely hard, making him fall to his knees. He would then perform the finishing blow. He grabbed the opponent's legs to Power Bomb him again, only it wasn't JUST a Power Bomb. He would jump high in the air and at extreme speeds would land back on the mat.

"HYPER BOMB!" Scotty screamed with the man in severe pain from the move.

He would cover the man's body, forcing his shoulders down. 1... 2... 3... Scotty won the match. He exited the cage with a man in a suit, disappointed from Scotty winning, handing him his prize... fight money. Scotty left and the door he came in would open. The man working on the sword would give a nod of respect and Scotty would leave the Blacksmith's workshop.

A heavy sigh left the parted lips of a mighty demon. A demon who was currently very worried about something, "Do you think this will scare the Pegasi? They are very smart creatures and may not like it. My Queen?" The archdemon was, of course, referring to the vertical scar running down the length of his face. The tissue ran over his left eye from his Forehead to chin and had healed quite nicely but still the dark king worried nonetheless.

Which that in and of itself is impressive. It had taken days for the healers to properly heal the wound. Even longer for the eye to regrow and function properly. Archdemons were known for their tenacity and power but not their regenerative factor. Still, as a two golden eyes wreathed in black stared back at Desh from the mirror, he couldnt help but worry about such petty things.

Normally, no amount of light magic would be able to leave him wounded in such a way but when all the rulers went to the signing, he had definitely caught a laser light show to the face, almost costing him an eye. Luckily, his family barely suffered any wounds out of that exchange.

The dark ruler let out another sigh and decided to stop worrying about it. Nidaria would probably give him something to worry about if he kept at it. Deshwitat pulled away from the mirror and began sliding into his formal clothes. Several informants within the Queen's network had messaged that a small group of orks had been spotted coming to the Dark Kingdom on foot. More than likely, some kind of message.

As Desh finally finished dawning his dark clothing, he turned to his lady and gave her a quick kiss before heading out the door, his demeanor changing from that of a loving husband and father, to that of the King of the Dark. The devil walked standing stall, chin high, chest out, and eyes straight ahead. It wasn't even ten seconds out of the door when the castle advisers came flocking to deliver the day's news. More warnings of armies mobilizing, trade weakening, and the general morale of the people lowering. As much as the denizens of the dark loved their newfound freedom, they only just started getting a taste of true peace. Thirty years of tranquility will leave anyone wanting for more after millenias of prosecution and murder.

One of the advisers informed Desh that his assassin had returned from his scouting mission on the Elysium's Dragon Guard Captain. It was an initial worry that was now quelled, as the girl didn't seem like much of a threat. Young, talented, and brave like many young people of the Light Kingdom were.

For now, there were serveral court rulings to decide over, Desh needed to speak to his people about the current events, and then there was the matter with the fire kingdom that would soon arrive at his doorstep.

"Be sure to awaken Eris. She needs to be present during the court proceedings. She will be heading them one day, after all."

"Right away, My king." The young kobold servant replied with a bow before turning and heading off to Eris's room to wake her.

The Dark King eventually made his way through the royal castle and into the throne room, where several hundred of his citizens had gathered to see the cases that were going to be presented today. Deshwitat slid into his comfortable position on his throne, awaiting his Queen and his Head Adviser before calling those accused of severe crimes forth.

Reijingu
Reijingu reached the bottom of the mountain, bruised and scratched, but at the bottom nonetheless. He had still been recovering from Gouki's Tengoku No Ikari. The only reason he survived was because he increased his physical body strength and pain tolerance over the years.

He entered what he could only think to be the Darkness Kingdom. He walked through the kingdom, passing by sick, poor, and injured people who were already frightened at his presence in general. They consisted of demons, deformities, and other decrepit beings from the pits of Hell.

His chest would glow with a burning passion as it wanted to claw itsself out of Reijingu's chest, take control and kill them all, feast in their blood. Instead he continued walking with a grim look on his face. He would walk past the scared civilians, relieving them slightly.

He reached what could only be an inn. He entered and waited for someone to show up, nobody was there. He then decided he had enough and went upstairs to see where the hell anyone is. He went upstairs to find unkempt rooms and rotting clothes, presumably the aftermath of mating.

"Abandoned... what an inn..." He said to himself in an almost sarcastic tone.

He left the inn to see 3 guards surrounding him, swords drawn.

"Stop right there, you freak!" He would say, his voice shaking.

Had word spread this fast of his legend?

Or had they just remembered of his past massacres?

It doesn't matter now, they'll be dead soon.

At blinding speeds, he charged the guard nearest to him and grabbed his head, twisting it 180 degrees and dropping the body. The guard's would quickly turn and face Reijingu, gasping at the sight of their friend, killed instantly. Reijingu would then Uppercut the guard to his left, separating his head from his body. He would turn to the last guard, now fleeing to get help from his fellow comrades.

That certainly doesn't help things... he might have to deal with more than 3 if he doesn't escape. However, he still hasn't fed his thirst for murder since the ambush in the Fire Kingdom. He would stay, staring down at the bodies, also charging his Tengoku No Ikari for when the reinforcements come and attempt to stop him again.

Hanako the Ronin
Location: Alisette
"Mmn.... Noisy...." Hanako groaned as she pushed back the burlap sack she was using as a blanket. She groaned slightly as she stretched her arms in the little abandoned wagon she found sitting on the side of the road. Despite the amount of sleep she had, she felt oddly tired and groggy. The soft growling from her belly seemed to remind her of her starvation. As she rubbed her eyes, she seemed to notice how the wagon was bouncing slightly and that it was now filled with sacks of fruit.

"....... Eh?" Hanako reached out to pick up an apple. It seemed real enough, she was tempted to take a bite to quell some of her hunger when she remembered her own personal honor code she swore to abide to the moment she left.

"A samurai does not steal..." She muttered to herself as she gingerly placed the apple back into the sack. She took out her tanto and cut a small slit in the canvas covering the wagon in order to peek outside. She balked as she realized that she had somehow slept through the wagon being loaded with produce, and the travel through rocky roads to the shining city of Alisette. She only knew the place as being the capital of the Kingdom of Light, Elysium.

"Stay calm, Hanako.... This may be a blessing in disguise given by Kitsune-sama.... Yes... Maybe this little detour might bring me closer to Shisho's killers...." Hanako flashed a slight smile dripping with malice as she gathered up her weapons and secured them to her hip. She crept over to the flap leading out the back of the wagon and bide her time. She waited until the wagon has just stopped before she leapt out the back of the wagon and made a dash into the nearest alleyway.... At least that's what she wanted to do. Her hunger having sapped her of her strength, she promptly collapsed after taking 5 steps and fainted.

Ghazzy Smashacrasha

It has been a long trudge through the desert for Ghazzy. Earlier the sands from the dunes whipped and buffeted his face, forcing him to don his keffiyeh during the desert storm. He and his retainers were armed with halberds, and already dealt with their fair share of beasts during their trek through the desert, having to hack his way out of a sand wurm before it digested him. The letter that the King gave to him must have been important.

Now, with the dark overcast overhead, he was certain that he was nearby, and over the horizon he could see the tips of the turrets overhead. "Dis is eht boyz, we'hre almos' 'ere." A few grunts, and they moved onwards, trudging towards the shadowy castle, what he knew would be the entrance to the kingdom of the monsters.

He was stopped at the gates, to which one of his guards flashed a crude badge to him, the standard Fire Kingdom badge of diplomacy between kingdoms. The guard nodded, and let in the group. Besides, if Orks appeared at your doorstep and didn't immediately try to murderize you, they probably wanted something. That was the general consensus of the people of the land Ghazzy guessed, he didn't give much thought to it, he just wanted to get this over with.

He alone was admitted into the castle, but there seemed to be a bit of a waiting list to speak with the King, who was handling court proceedings as the judge. Waste of time he figured to himself. Just give him a free pass and be on your way, no need to try anything else. And if he gets in trouble again, execute them. Whatever, he personally was lazy, but Grimgutz didn't hold those sorts of standards to the Great Fire Kingdom, so he figured he mustn't be the one to run a kingdom anywho. Not his place.

As the final verdict was placed onto the accused, he was allowed to enter the King's presence.

"My... King." He paused a little, King was such a strange word to his lips, having always used 'boss'. He continued on. "A lettuh from da Boss ov da Great Fire Kingdom, Grimgutz Ironrot." He knelt and presented the letter.

Within the contents of the letter, Desh would be able to read this:
My Friend,

I fear the time for war has come upon us again. In the past, we have waged terrible battles against each other, Green against Black. Tradition against Independence.

I come to you not as a aggressor, but as one who once was put into a position like yours, as the one who was once patronized and attacked. We too fought back, we became warlike, and brutal. We embraced that.

I don't know what story you wish upon yourself, but I ask that we come to a neutral ground, somewhere that we can simply drink and talk.

I suggest a bar on the outskirts of the Fire Kingdom's borders, The Prancing Squig. It's a usual for myself, and I haven't introduced it to you since it is a new establishment on Spirebluff Street.

There isn't much to talk about, but the few things that there are have become very important to the well being of the world.

Scotty
Scotty looked around at the beautiful yet shitty Light Kingdom.

"Jeez, may as well be a charity" Scotty remarked looking at his money, earned from the fight.

He stretched out and cracked his knuckles before continuing down the street. After walking for only yard, she saw a woman in a karate gi exiting a wagon, used for transporting food. She went in to a nearby alleyway before Scotty heard a firm "thud" and a groan.

Scotty quickly trailed the woman to find her unconscious on the ground. He tried shaking her body to wake her, but it didn't work. With some hesitation, Scotty picked up the woman and walked back to his home on the outskirts of the Light Kingdom

Tom wasn't here, so at least he didn't have to explain everything immediately. Scotty set the strange woman down on his bed and thoughts of regret already began to run through his head. For now, he would leave her there until he could figure something out or until she wakes up.

Scotty would grab two cups from a cupboard and fill them both with water from his faucet. He would set one glass down on a table nearby the bed and Scotty would keep one for himself to drink.

"Wonder what she was doing..." Scotty wondered before looking out of his window and sipping some of his water.

Arashi

It was still early morning in Arashi. Hitoshi had been up for sometime already. His hands placed neatly behind his back as he stood at his bedroom window. His eyes scanning the cold white mountains in the distance. His blue yukata rested well around his body, keeping him warm against the cold. He had sent word out to the Ninja posts some time ago... The black raven had already made it back letting him know that the Ninja's he requested would arrive at the kingdom today.

The colors of red and white covered his entire room, from ceiling to corner. The Arashi symbol made it's self known without any trouble either. But his blue eyes still stuck to the white mountains.

Every meeting with the Ninja's was always serious. Even this meeting, but also he would be able to see one of his son's. He had not seen Raiden in some time. He always thought about him and knew his mother did too. Yet they would not dare say his name in public, or say it around others. A name hidden in the shadows just like his son.

But that was not the only thing on his mind. The run away Samurai girl needed to be taken care of, along with gathering a meeting with King Deshwitat of the Dark Kingdom.

A war was brewing with all of the kingdoms. Hitoshi wished that he was not born in such a time of war. His people had gone through enough and the land around them would not let them forget. He needed to find some kind of peace before this war started. He would need to take the first step.... A step he was willing to take.

He turned his gaze when he felt the presents of another in the room. Looking over his shoulder he spotted his wife Nyoko. A woman he loved and respected with all of his heart. She too had the same thing on her mind. But you could spot the small hidden hit of joy faster in her eyes. She had that motherly glow every time she got to see her son Raiden.

No words had to be spoken between the two to know what the other was thinking or wanting to say. Instead the room stayed quiet as Nyoko joined Hitoshi at his side by the window. Their eyes meet for a brief second before turning to the mountains. A faint smile with a hint of worry came to their lips as they watched the snow start to fall lightly.

Okami grumbled as he walked in the snow. It had been sometime since their King had called them to the castle. The note was not very specific.... But none ever were. They were always in code and left out much detail. Okami stopped in his steps when he noticed the snow falling. It was light, but could get worst.

Okami narrowed his eyes as an annoyed look came to mind. "Mizaki?" he asked in a grumpy tone. He looked over his shoulder and too the woods behind him. Even in a land of mountains, one could find themselves surrounded by a few cherry blossoms. The pink peddles slowly fell to the snow as his eyes continued to scan the area around him. "This is not funny Mizaki." Okami stated as he turned around. "We need to keep moving. The king is expecting us."

Okami slowly let his eyes drift up to the trees, there he spotted his other fellow Ninja. "What are you doing?" He asked as he crossed his arms over his chest.

Mizaki was in mid reach when he Okami spotted him. His fingers were inches away from what they called a 'dragon fruit.' Not very sweet, but had a hint of sugar to it's core. "I didn't really eat this morning..." Mizaki turned his attention back to the fruit. He leaned out further rapping his hand around the fruit before taking it from the tree's branches. He let his body drop from the branch he was standing on, and landed a few feet away from Okami.

He looked to the fruit and then back to where it once was. "Happy?' Okami asked as he walked over to Mizaki. Mizaki shrugged before joining Okami's side. "It's not nearly as good as what they will be serving tonight." He smiled as the two continued on their way. "Festivals always have the best food." Mizaki started to peal away the shell of the fruit.

Okami rolled his eyes as the two went about their way. "Wasn't Ryusuuji summoned too?" Mizaki asked after taking a large bite from the dragon fruit. Okami let his shoulders drop. "That's Ryusuuji's business... Not ours." He stated. He knew Ryusuuji but not as much as he wanted. The Ninja was very secretive and they only knew his name and what he looked like. Other than that, Ryusuuji was not really one to come out of his shell and speak with others. You may find him in training or at Post meetings.... But never expect the guy to say anything.

Both Okami and Mizaki were about and hour away from reaching the kingdom gates. They had made great time, even if one of them got sidetracked here or there.

The periodic ticking of antique clock was reverberating in the room, mixed with the occasional screeching of living crawlers displayed in glass tanks.

Wade slowly bent down as he looked into a glass tank, behind the mask, he made a satiated grin as he pressed his hand against the glass plane, his gaze softened as he embraced the beauty of his latest specimen in his collection - a species of flame-resisting ant with coating as dark as pure obsidian, which dwells even in the depths of lava.
Getting his hand on this thing was hard enough to make even an insects enthusiast felt challenged, Wade couldn't help to be completely absorbed by the enchanting charm of this rare specimen, and the rewarding feeling that came along with the monument to his achievement before his eyes.
Wade let out a short sigh as he straightened his back, slowly turning his stiff neck around as he recalled about having to attend a court that was to be held soon. Wade adjusted his hat and attire before he headed off to the throne room.

The ever so mighty King of the Dark Kingdom was already overlooking the room from his throne as the masked man stepped into the scene, making his way to greet the king.

With all the formality done, Wade began to scan the king up and down, noticing that the king was starting to grow a little worry about the scar on his face through his body language.
"You know...if you ever change your mind about that scar, I could always make it mend flawlessly, my lord." Wade asserted as he ran his finger along his non-existential chin.

"Then again, a teeny tiny battle scar on the face doesn't really have much of a downside, in contrary, it could very much serve as a mark of survival, as how our lovely Queen likes to put it. It's this sort of things that really makes you feel alive, don't you agree?" Wade let a few laughter slipped as he stepped aside, already starting to keep himself entertained by fondling the eight-legged creature resting on the back of his hand that crawled out from his sleeve.

The slight twitch of a leaf as the cold, mountain breeze moved through the frozen forest. Petals blooming in the cold, as if defying the natural order of when to flourish. Snow falling every so gently, layering the kingdom in a fresh blanket of white. This is what the most would see. Only a master would be able to see that occasionally, only for an instance, the breeze was not natural. Only something beyond natural would be able to see it. The occasional soundless blurr among the back drop of white snow. Only one of the gods would be able to notice the being shrouded in the color of ice and snow that moved across the landscape. Soundless, with footsteps so light, no tracks could be found within the snow.

If one stood in the beings way, they would feel a slight breeze pass the by. The hairs on their body would stand on end after moment. As if the cold breath of death kissed their shoulder, beckoning.

The man, the assassin known as Ryusuuji came to a silent halt just before the royal castle of Arashi. The kingdom of Lightning. He was atop of a tree, camoflauged within the snow and ice. While inaudible, white lightning crackled around his frame, almost invisible to the naked eye. The only thing that stood out were the crimson eyes that pierced the veil of snow and frozen leaves from within the tree. King Hitoshi and Queen Nyoko stood side by side as they gazed out upon the snowy landscape. The parents that birthed the killer perched in the trees. Ryusuuji forsook everything for his family. He gave up his honor, his title, the love of his family, his humanity, even his name, to become the eternal hidden blade of Arashi. He would never be recognized for it. No one would praise him. No one would know. He would be the ghost of the ice and snow for all of time and he would want it no other way.

In his own way, he showed his honor, devotion, and love for his family and kingdom by showing none at all.

Such was the burden and blessing of The ghost of snow. Arashi's Hidden Blade. The Forgotten Prince.

Ryusuuji leapt from the tree without disturbing it in the slightest, landing just behind the King and Queen. He had allowed his landing to make the slightest of sounds, so as to alert his parents of his presence. The sound of a blanket gently scraping the wooden floor announced his arrival. He silently took a knee before the royal pair, softly uttering his greeting, "Your highness.....Your grace...."

Hitoshi and Nyoko slowly turned at the sound of their son's voice. It had been sometime since they had seen or heard him. Nyoko was hiding her excitement ever so well as she moved like the slow falling snow. Hitoshi's grace matched his wife's but his had a more stern movement to it.

"Raiden." Nyoko smiled. She left her husband's side as she walked over to Ryusuuji. She motioned for him to stand up, as she opened her arms up so she could hug him. In the view of others she would not do this, but since the three of them were alone this was fitting.

Hitoshi watched as Nyoko wrapped her arms around Ryusuuji. He on the other hand found it best to keep his distance for the moment. The pleasantries would soon pass and they would have to talk business. His eyes glanced back over his shoulder as he looked back to the mountains. He had asked for three specific Ninja's from the fourth post... And he knew Ryusuuji was always quick with getting to the castle... He was wondering when the other two would answer his call as well. He needed all three of them there so they could go over the details.

Hitoshi looked back to Ryusuuji when Nyoko pulled away from her hug.

A letter was left near Deshwitat's Throne

Dear Deshwitat L. Rubdich,
I apologize for not attending the hearing, but I believe that war will once again be among us. With this in mind I find my time better used training for the near future. If you find that you are in need of my assistance, you can find me in the training grounds.

The ninja stood as ordered and received the embrace of his mother. How he missed that feeling. Ryusuuji felt as if he wanted to just bury his face in his mother's chest and cry. Cry and never let go. The man was very quiet and stalwart but he wasnt made of stone. Living the life he has chosen was enough to break any person. Still, it was these small moments that made the immortal feel as if it was all worth it in the end.

After the Queen was done, Ryusuuji's eyes glowed bright red for a moment as he used his lifehunt ability to seaech for what his father was obviously looking for. It wasn't long before he saw them. Not by their life essence but because of his enhanced senses.

The eyes of the assassin returned to their dull, ruby hues as he bowed his head in respect to the king, as would be expected of someone in the King's presence. "Your highness, they will be here momentarily. There is no need to worry."

"And....I've missed you both as well." He knew that they both wanted to say it aloud before anything because it was the exact same thing he had on his mind.

He would allow himself that one moment of weakness for now. After all, his parents would not be there forever but he would.

Scotty finished his glass of water and put it away. Then he saw someone approaching the door through the window. He put down everything he was doing and looked out the window again.

He heard a firm knock and the two explaining who they were. He would open the door to find exactly who they presented themselves as. A knight and an official came to his home.

"So... what do you want...?" Scotty asked, confused on why they had come to his home.

"I haven't been fighting in public or anything..."

He continued to look at them both. They were very interesting characters indeed but they worked for the Light Kingdom either way. He would just wait for a response and act later.

Cassiopeia
Royal Greenhouses

True, the assassination attempts on the royals of every kingdom were several months past and the wounds of the flesh had mostly healed, but flesh was easier to mend than the mind. And since the memory of the incident was still fresh as those that were involved in any way were still living, tensions were high. High tensions meant that each kingdom's way of life was potentially threatened. Each kingdom of course effected in a different way by the loss of a tenuous peace. True peace likely could never be had because the living just didn't function that way. Even animals never truly have peace.

Of course none of that was of any concern to Cassiopeia. Her main concern was something that would be impeded by the events set into motion during the assembly of the kingdoms' rulers, her main concern was the effect the incident would have on trade. This was a big issue for her because as it stood, the dark kingdom relied heavily on the other kingdoms for trade, primarily for their food. While she couldn't grow meat or animals, she could grow plants and so she had been relatively busy instructing novice farmers and gardeners on how to tend crops because while she enjoyed her job, she couldn't exactly produce enough fruits and vegetables to feed the whole kingdom on her own. At least not now when there was a terrible rush to grow enough to have enough seeds to keep the kingdom from starving until things are smoothed over enough with one of the more inhabitable kingdoms to resume trade.

She stood silently on one of the many stone paths in the greenhouse. A gown of layered gossamer fabric in an off-white shade draped off of her body as she repeatedly summoned small spheres of glowing light and pushed them up into the air of the green house. True there was a sun outside, but the skies were so dark that it hardly mattered most of the time. She had to use her own abilities to maintain the plant life, but the less energy she put into each orb, the more she could summon and the longer they would stay out so the greenhouse was still well lit and the plant life thriving.

The fabric of her gown hung loosely over her torso, the sleeves held at her forearms by golden armbands and a cord of gold rope around her waist, over which her arms currently lay, the fingers of one hand absently twirling a section of the silken strands of her wavy hair as she surveyed the goings-on of the greenhouse. One of the greenhouse attendants had started moving a sapling from a pot and was planting it in the ground when they fumbled as they were lifting it. Pia squeaked in terror, her barefeet padding quickly along the ground as the skirt of her garment whipped up around her shapely legs as she quickly moved to catch the sapling before it tipped over.

Pia huffed a sigh of relief as she gently cradled the sapling against her forearms, looking at it affectionately before turning a cold glare on the attendant that had almost dropped the precious plant, the expression turned all the more icy just by the color of her eyes, or lack thereof. She lifted the plant carefully and set it gently in the bed of dirt that it was to be planted in before grabbing a trowel, "you must be more careful!" she groaned and cast a narrowed eyed glance back over her shoulder to the gardener who just stammered his apologies and nodded his head.

Those white eyes with the gray accents closed slightly and she summoned up a cheerful smile before turning her gaze back over her shoulder, "just be more careful, alright?" she spoke in a syrupy dulcet tone, before she turned back to the dirt and scooped a few piles out before dropping her trowel and shrieking in horror as she stood up and backed away, "no no no!" she pointed frantically to where she had just been digging and the attendant she had previously scolded looked slightly worried as he stepped in front of her and knelt where she had once been. He couldn't help but laugh and held up the object of her distress. It was just worm, "no no!! Get it away!" she wasn't mindful of the fact that she smeared dirt on her face when her hands cupped her cheeks in girlish fear as she looked away.

The attendant just shook his head and carried the worm to another plot of dirt before returning to Pia and telling her it was gone. The delicate Half Demon squealed in delight and coiled her arm around his, leaning up to give him a peck on the cheek, "my hero!" she also casually wiped her face on his shirt before returning to placing the sapling in the ground, "I assume you can handle the rest?" she questioned the attendant once the sapling was secure in the ground before she rose to her feet and slipped away after he had told her that he would be more careful and finish the job of replanting the saplings.

With the placement of one last sun sphere, Pia then left the greenhouses with an attendant that was pushing a trolley carrying several plants that were to be shown to the king and queen, her destination being the throne room. Once there she would wait quietly until it was her turn to see the king.

"Oh that's easy Shisho, Honoring the Oath come first!"
"Very good, Tachibana-kun. Now rest up. We have a busy day, tomorrow."
"HAI!"

"Hey, Hana-chan!"
"What is it, Tsubasa-san?"
"I heard you went to confess yesterday? How was it? Did he get angry?"

"Eh... Who told you that...? Well.... I guess he took it well... I'm probably the reason why we are being lectured earlier."
"Ara~ Is that also the reason why you ABANDONED US?"
"What...?"
"TRAITOR. DESERTER. OATH BREAKER."
"N-no... I-I'm none of those... I had a reason for leaving!"

"Gyah! Ha.... Ha..... A.... dream....?" Hanako gasped as she jolted awake. Running a hand over her forehead, feeling the cold sweat that had accumulated there. She pushed herself up to a sitting position before taking a bleary look around, spotting a glass of water on a table nearby. She weakly reached for the glass and grasped it in shaking hands. She didn't bother thinking about where it came for but she gave a small mutter of thanks before taking controlled sips of the cooling water. Before she knew it, the glass was empty and her thirst was quenched. She groggily placed the glass back onto the table before attempting to stand.

"Where.... am I...?" Hanako muttered as she took some unsteady steps forward before stumbling onto the floor with a thud. "Tsk... Curse this hunger... How shameful....!"

The royal hand seemed pleased, and the same could be said for the captain who breathed a sigh of relief as soon as Nolan was out of earshot. The man was hardly a decade older than Emilia, yet the job had aged him noticeably, now more than ever with the threat of war on the horizon and the people more nervous than ever of what lurks in the dark. He was getting reports left and right from all across the kingdom and their order was spread thin. Turning to face Emilia, his expression weary, he cleared his throat "Thanks for that, didn't want to have to give the whole "we're doing everything we can" song and dance again, unfortunately I have one more thing to ask of you." He said, rubbing his temples with a hand. "We were supposed to get a supply of silver from the fire kingdom a week ago and it's yet to show up. I know you're tired, but we need that shipment and you're the only one I have free right now"

Emilia's eyes went wide and she went to her board to write, so swept up in her frustration was the knight that she hardly noticed the stray bump up against her, she reached a hand down to gently pat the pup on the head. As she looked up again she noticed the captain put a hand over her board and shake his head "Look, I know it's a pain but unfortunately there's no other option, it'll be quick we just need to know of the status of the shipment, if you go now it'll be finished before you know it" to which the girl let out a deep sigh before nodding in agreement, turning to walk off. Though she was annoyed to not only be sent out again so quickly, but on such a menial mission, she understood the captains reasoning. Silver is the life blood of the royal guard, most if not all magical creatures have some sort of magical immunity to normal weaponry, silver has the unique property to cut right through that like a hot knife through butter without the need for special enchantments. The issue comes with the nature of silver itself, it's a horrible metal for making weapons, the soft metal made for a blade that snapped and broke easily and even if it didn't break due to the stress of combat the durability over time was incredibly lacking, it was also expensive and in short supply, and with the kingdom on the brink of war the guards funding for their precious silver shrunk by the day. Losing a shipment like this was incredibly detrimental to the guard, and it was something that needed to be looked at as soon as possible.

This was what lead to Emilia finding herself on the back of a griffin that day, hefting a heavy backpack with a few days of supplies along with her trusty longsword, she didn't bother to bring her armor as it would only put more of a strain on the griffon and slow things down. Besides, she didn't expect there to be too much trouble, all she needed to do was find the man they had ordered from, ask a few questions and be on her way, nothing to it! With a deep, calming breath she urged the griffin onwards before breaking into a brief sprint and launching it's wings out as it took off into the sky! Emilia shut her eyes tight and leaned down to hug the griffins neck, this was probably the worst part of her job. don't look down, don't look down, don't look down she warned herself mentally, helplessly trying to ward off the nauseating sense of vertigo. Luckily for the young knight, the griffin knew the way, though it would still be a few hours of this before she would arrive at her destination.

Hitoshi turned to Ryusuuji and gave the other a slight nod to his words. Each Ninja that he had called for today had a very special meaning to him. He would never show it to others...... But he had a very close connection to the three. Ryusuuji for one, was one of his sons. But there was more to Ryusuuji then meets the eye. It wasn't just about his abilities, or that he was his third born.... It was something else. Ryusuuji had been through a lot and would see more days than anyone in Arashi. His loyalty, honor and passion were key to Hitoshi. The respect for one another was great and strong. Even if he rarely got to see him, they had a pure connection.

Nyoko had a great connection to Ryusuuji as well. But then again she had a strong connection with all of her sons. For her Ryusuuji was special. After her first born died while trying to become a Ninja and with what had happened with her second born Kazue, Raiden was a son that she wanted to have around all the time. He hid himself from the world, but not to her. She had a greater connection filled with love for her child. Even if the missions he took on were dangerous, she felt like Raiden would be the one to survive on his own. He was so strong and very independent. No matter how much she just wanted her little boy back.

Nyoko smiled to Raiden and motioned for him to join her at the table nearby in the room. It was already set up with a tea kettle, tea cup and some choices of small treats and fruit. She knelled down and sat on the floor in front of the tea kettle. Hitoshi joined her at the table as she started to pour tea for the three of them. Hitoshi first, then Raiden and then herself.

"We will have to wait for the others before discussing the missions." Hitoshi informed. "We are also waiting for your brother Kazue." For Kazue being involved this meant something big was going on. Kazue out of all the other siblings was to be seen as the next king of Arashi. Yes his arrogant self was a small problem..... But it was something the kingdom was hopping he will grow out of soon.

Mean while.....

Mizaki and Okami had picked up their pace.... Turning their path into a little race between the two. Well... Mizaki declared a race and Okami had no say in it as he trailed after the other in hot pursuit.

Upon arriving at the main gate to Arashi Mizaki stopped and threw his hands up in the air. "Winner!" he called out with a chuckle. Okami let his shoulders drop as he trailed up behind Mizaki. "Not everything has to be a competition." He muttered.

Mizaki smirked as he placed his hands on his hips. He took in a deep breath and exhaled as he looked around at the kingdom. It had been a while since they had been back here. Not to mention that he could smell the food the kingdom was preparing for the festival. The little joys in life that he never took for granted.

"We should get to the castle....." Okami stated. If he didn't he knew Mizaki would want to venture before seeing the king. To his surprise Mizaki agreed to seeing the king first. As they walked through the kingdom Mizaki's eyes were all over the place. The kingdom was full of life at this time. People were getting the streets decorated for the night's events, while others were preparing for the night's feast.

Mizaki went to step in another direction when they got closer to the castle. Okami reached out and grabbed the other by his clothing, pulling him back towards their destination. "King first Mizaki." Okami stated. Mizaki grumbled as eyes followed the food booths he wanted to stop by. "Just one snack." He complained. Okami didn't even answer, he continued to lead Mizaki to the castle.

Upon arriving at the castle gates the two were passed by with ease. They made their way to the throne room where they waited there. Every meeting with the king would start here. Depending on the mission told them where they would discuss the situation at hand.

As Scotty listened to the Knight explain herself, the hologram-like being started to rant on about how unofficial duels are illegal.

"Chill out, you dweeb! Sheesh..." Scotty would say almost surprised at how many words he could get out of his mouth in a second.

The knight explained that there was a runaway. He then heard the girl get up, which startled him.

"Excuse me for a moment" Scotty said, shutting the door.

He walked over to the girl, who was still weak, surprised that she awoke so soon.

"There are people outside looking for you, what's going on? Who are you?" Scotty said

The Forgotten Prince followed his mother in wordlessly and took a seat where his mother had directed him. She truly seemed happy at his presence and the positivity was contagious. Even if it was only for a little while, Ryusuuji felt at peace.

As the Queen poured out the tea, the assassin's lips turned upwards in a solemn smile. He pulled down his shinobi mask and brought the cup to his lips. His long canines tinked against the ceramic and as the liquid touched his lips, Raiden braced himself. As stalwart as he was, Ryusuuji could never steel his heart enough to bring himself to tell his mother the truth. The curse he was afflicted with made everything taste like the ashes of the dead. King Hitoshi knew but Raiden's final request as the prince of Arashi was that she never be told of that fact.

It had taken Raiden months of practice to not show any signs of his repulsion but he had it nailed down by now. His face stayed even and he let out a small sigh after he was done drinking the hot tea, "Thank you mother." He said quietly.

The assassin rubbed the black stubble upon his face in thought at King Hitoshi's words. The situation must indeed be grave if this is what was happening. The ghost's blade picked up on the footsteps of the othet two ninja approaching and he quickly pulled the white cloth over his face once more. He turned to his fathetr, nodding to him. The other ninja had arrived.
