Aleister Kane

INTRODUCTION

[B A S I C S]
Name: Aleister Kane

Alias: N/A

Age: 39

Gender: Male

Species: Human

Orientation: Homosexual

PHYSICALITY

[A P P E A R A N C E]
Hair: Black (with a strand of white hair in the front)

Eyes: Blue

Complexion: Medium Tone

Height: 6′2″ (1.88 m)

Build: Mesomorph

Weight: 180 lbs (81.65 kg)

Body Markings: Mystical sigils tattooed on his forearms and old scars on his back

Aleister is most often quite scruffy in nature, with unkempt clothes and even wilder unkempt hair, though he does sometimes try to make an effort depending on the occasion. Not one for formalities much, or social cues for that matter, Aleister essentially doesn't care what someone else thinks of him or how he chooses to present himself. He's not there to please others. A baggy white shirt that has never seen an iron before? Sure, why not? Those jeans with holes of an unknown nature? Yeah, put them on. His frame can best be described as quite muscular, with an impressively structured body with no overly large muscles nor lean muscles. Aleister tries to maintain his physical fitness at times since he's always stuck up in his room doing god knows what, this is more an obligatory task because he needs to regularly maintain his physical health so his body can take the strain of using magic.

Moral Alignment[Neutral Good]
MENTALITY

[P E R S O N A L I T Y]
Aleister gives an impression to all who meet him of total enigma and utter ominosity. Aleister is something of a gruff and aloof sort of person when he's not with his immediate inner circle of friends. He doesn't tend to be outgoing and often seems to be wearing a frown, which doesn't help open conversations with strangers. He tends to cherish his privacy and doesn't appreciate people poking their noses into his personal life. He knows that a lot of what he's done is still wrong, but even so, he doesn't like to talk about it.

Aleister is defined by several overpowering personality traits, some of which are at direct odds with one another. What bridges all of it is his confidence. Aleister Kane takes great pride in his ability to depend upon himself for just about anything, and never finds a situation too grim for hope. He's of the disposition to believe that anything can be overcome with sufficient know-how, and his wide variety of skills and resources only bolster this belief in himself. Nothing is ever impossible, and Aleister has very little time for anyone who disagrees.

Aleister is a very calm, determined individual when he wants something. He's not the type to explode into histrionics, or ever really let anyone get a good bead on how he's feeling -- stiff upper lip and all that. He can be stubborn, but only when he knows he's right, and frankly, he knows he's right 100 of the time. All the same, he's not the type to be goaded into a fight, what with cooler heads prevailing and all. Most attempts to bait him will fail.

PROWESS

[S K I L L S]
  • Expert Strategist[/font]: Though Aleister seems to suffer from an impulsive nature, instinctively jumping into situations of life-or-death, it's apparent that he works best this way possessing considerable strategic skills, which have been employed in leadership structures, and spontaneous situations, all of which is a necessity in the random environment of Mysticism.
[*]Skilled Martial Artist: Aleister is a gifted athlete who has received training in a variety of ancient martial arts techniques employed by the Orients centuries ago. When he was unable to use his sorcery, these abilities had come in handy. He also has traditional/combat weapon proficiency thanks to his training. He has attained a condition of Peak Human Bodily Condition as a result of his extreme training.
[*]Immense Wisdom: Possessing a vast knowledge of other dimensions and magical forces out there, Aleister holds great insight and intuition, the ability to synthesize from knowledge proper problem solving, a gift for learning, and a profound strength of self, a mind highly resistant to manipulation or control of others. This does not make him immune to mind control or telepathic influence or sensory alteration, but it does make him more likely than most to notice this and stronger than most in combatting the influence if noticed.
[*]Expert Occultist & Magical Knowledge: During his studies which continued until recently Aleister has gained expert awareness on cults and the extra-dimensional entities they worship, this knowledge as of yet far exceeds any on Earth in the Universe.

[ P O W E R S | A B I L I T I E S]

  • Exocentric Arts/Extra-Dimensional Magic: Exocentric (from the Greek: exo, "outside") This very advanced form of magic, originally known as the Golden Way, refers to the form of magic that draws upon forces from dimensions outside our own. Only very experienced sorcerers are able to communicate with powerful mystical beings that inhabit these "other dimensions" and appeal to them for assistance. To invoke the aid of godlike beings (also referred to as the mystic principalities) such as Cyttorak, Ikonn, Raggadorr, Watoomb, etc, a sorcerer must learn complex incantations and master subtle gestures in order to increase the chances of receiving a positive response. The more powerful the entity (or the less powerful the sorcerer) the more complicated the ritual of invocation becomes.

To attract the attention of an entity, a supplicant will generally use the entity's name in a rhythmic or rhymed incantation. Just as poets and musicians once tried to gain the favor of powerful monarchs by composing clever poems and songs about them, the sorcerer uses his words to gain an entity's favor and display his or her own wit and knowledge.
  • Extra-Dimensional Energy Manipulation: A by-product of his main ability to invoke mystical entities from other dimensions, Aleister can harness energy drawn from other dimensions of the Multiverse to cast spells, conjure shields and weapons to make "magic". Once entwined, the energy may be manipulated to create a variety of effects. Once a dimension's mystic potential has been tapped, a sorcerer may manipulate it to form and hurl energy blasts (usually referred to as "Bolts of Bedevilment") or erect basic shields. Illusions and disguises are also woven together out of exocentric forces. One may even conjure up small "solid" items, though said items are not usually very stable and may disappear as quickly as they appeared. Extra-dimensional elemental substances are also available to the learned mage and may be manipulated into weapons, shields, or in some cases, minions.

[W E A K N E S S E S]

  • Incantation and Gesture Dependency: Aleister also depends on spoken incantations, mystical gesturing, and his arcane artifacts in his duties; likely these can be counted as weaknesses. Aleister has been incapacitated various times by being gagged and bound, preventing him from uttering arcane invocations or performing mystic gestures. Breaking his hands can greatly cripple his magic ability for instance.
[*]Human Factor: Another weakness is that Aleister, despite all his spells and magical training, is only human physically. Hence, if not taking proper care or defenses, Aleister can be overpowered by mere blows, energy attacks, or gas. While technically immortal per se, he still must eat, sleep and breathe in order to survive.
[*]His third limitation is the requirement of concentration. If his concentration is broken in the middle of a spell, it is likely to fail...under some circumstances with random effects happening instead of the intent. Mental fatigue is another issue he has to deal with, especially for longer spells or when casting many spells in quick succession. Although he is practiced at keeping his concentration, even he can be affected by his surroundings...it's harder to cast in a noisy environment with a lot of distractions than it is in his quiet work room. Very complicated spells, if possible, are best cast in a controlled environment.
[*]Time & Rest: After using magic extensively, Aleister needs to rest. He cannot fight for long periods of time, since his magic is so complex and enigmatic that using it for too long can be severe for his bodily condition, thus must refrain from overusing it. This can cause him to get migraines, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and other negative side effects of using his magic too much, even potentially going unconscious.

ARMAMENT

[A T T I R E]
dr_strange_by_petersheppley_desepnp.jpg

[I T E M S]
Aleister's mystical cloak [cloak seen in the image above] allows him to fly (at roughly 25 miles per hour for indeterminate lengths of time), and responds to his thoughts. Aleister has used it many times as a "third set of hands" to attack a foe when his own body has been incapacitated. The Cloak is nearly indestructible, often escaping damage during even the most violent confrontations. The cloak has acted independently from Aleister as though it has a will of its own, as well as being quasi-sentient to some degree.

Ag'amotto's All-Seeing Eye or the Eye of Truth (which resides within the Amulet of Ag'amotto worn at Aleister's throat) is a powerful and valued artifact that has many functions. Using the Eye, Aleister can see through any lie, deception, or illusion, send the eye out at light speed to intercept and absorb massive amounts of any type of energy and free others who are trapped in their own illusions. It is often used to amplify his mind's eye, giving psychic abilities that rival the most powerful of telepaths. It is also often used to play back an area's past events, lift beings weighing thousands of pounds into the air telekinetically, and open dimensional portals, as well as placing beings in suspended animation. The Eye can track beings by their psychic or magical emissions. The light given off by the Eye also weakens a variety of evil mystical beings, such as demons, devils, undead beings, dark extra-dimensional entities, and even sufficiently corrupt human practitioners of dark magic. When used offensively, no being can withstand its light for long; due to its lethal effect, it is often used as a weapon of last resort. The amulet can only be used by a being with a pure heart and a clean soul.

Trivia:
  • Parents call her 'Pinkita' cuz her hair changed after surgery/operations. She actually has naturally sandy blonde hair. When she was little they called her 'Orita'

~Bio:

  • CoCo is an only child to half-Caucasian and half-Mexican parents. Both of whom were highly engaged in illegal weapons trade and had a food packing warehouse as a front. They had their best earnings during the spike of Villainy in North America. Fear and panic set in and people wanted to arm themselves to the teeth in prep for the worst case scenario.
  • Even though they were criminals, her parents tried hard to be good to CoCo and raised her as best they could but of course the girl got wrapped up in criminal activities at a young age.
  • After a hit on her parents went wrong, CoCo was shot up as just a girl. To save her life, her parents paid a generous sum of cash to a 'street doc' that operated on her for a year. The replacements, drugs, treatments and implants would continue until she hit puberty. Little did they know that it was her mutated DNA that bonded with the implants that ultimately saved her.
  • She learned ins and outs of her family business and actually ran as an enforcer for them when she grew into her frame. But she was one of the more bearable ones whem she came around because of her quips and sense of humour. On the street, she was called 'Bunny' yet she was dangerous because of her enhanced body, senses and skills.
  • Met her bff Daisie by accident. She was actually a parcel meant to be delivered to their warehouse and transferred off shore. But after a heist gone wrong, half the packages were wrecked. During clean up, CoCo found the cyborg's parts and cute face and just could not let it die. She brought it to Pressie, the street doc that had saved her own life. He put the cyborg back together and CoCo helped 'Daisie' integrate into society.
  • It was not the government that took apart the V-L family empire. It was a mega corp, in particular a space/aerodynamics division, Skyline Beyond, that spear-headed the takedown. Of course, unbeknownst to all, they had a huge hand in weapons proliferation. Her parents, the rest of her criminal family, friends and workers either scattered or were incarcerated at a Black Corp facility off shore. CoCo's parents were one of those that were captured. They however managed to enact a contingency plan to get their daughter the hell out of there. Of course, CoCo took Daisie with her.
  • Not a coincidence that they had been taken down. There were rumblings that the V-L fam had their dirty paws on rare tech. Tech so highly advanced that the mega corp went toe-to-toe with the criminal org to take them out. It was said that the Vasquez-Lowry's had traded in alien ship technology.
  • Little did they know it but it was that very tech inside both CoCo and Daisie that saved their lives. The tech was successfully manipulated by Pressie, the street doc, but it was not until cornered into a life or death situation vs. the Villainous group; 'The Midnight Prophets' did the nanites and other systems come alive and give them superpowers.
  • Both CoCo and Daisie kept secret what had become of them. CoCo manifested a powerful alien flight suit and Daisie was able to reconfigure/shapeshift her re-alloyed body. Watched from afar, they were deemed worthy and taken in by a vigilante gtroup that opposed the Prophets.
  • They were invited to join and train under The Wrecking Dolls. The outfit was very chaotic in their dealings and suited CoCo just fine. The team was actually quite well put together; led by their Mentor: 'Archangel.' She was a military genius that strategized to optimize their abilities combined and individually as well.
  • CoCo was given the NightFlight Armour to hide her alien tech flight Suit. Archangel seems to know more than she lets on about both her wards alien tech superpowers. But she knows that they will have to make it out there in their own way and she has contacted others to help train and integrate CoCo first, how to lead a life in the open. The Wrecking Dolls are fighting in a shadow war and although Archangel sees their potential, she knows that they need a generalized training first.
  • And so she has released CoCo from the Wrecking Dolls to deal with out-in-the-open, real-world action. Once she is set in leading the life of a Vigilante, Archangel will release Daisie to learn from CoCo since the cyborg adapts well with her bff's guidance.
  • Also, Archangel knows that CoCo needs answers regarding her family and that starts with finding the street doc; what does he know and what did he do to them? Because CoCo found out her parents are still alive. They are on some hidden island faciity in the Pacific. Once she gets the answers she is looking for, she will unlock the full potential of this suit and tear that facility down to the ground. But Pressie remains in hiding and will come no where near Archangel.
  • So CoCo now finds herself involved with this newly formed vigilante group coming into her own as 'NightFlight.'

Skills:
  • Combat training - multiple firearms use/teardown, small demoltions, close combat, team/battle strategies, aerial combat/maneuvers.
  • Biotech enhanced body - internal organs, muscles, bones, senses. 3x Stronger, faster, durable than a woman her size and weight at peak fitness. Heals 2x faster and 2x resistant to disease than healthy peak, fit individual.
  • Street smarts - criminal contacts/locales/languages/purchases, streetwise, reputation, knows local gov't and about law enforcement.

~Powers:

Covered in the NightFlight Armour
ballistic.jpg
In the Ballistic Flight Suit
cherry2.jpg

Alien Ship Symbiotic Tech: Ballistic Flight Suit
  • Transformation - Nanites swarm over her body instantaneously to create her Suit.
  • Flight - without her Suit at sub sonic speeds. With Armour and peak form, potentially up to Mach 5. No drag, no sonic boom.
  • Indestructable Shields - surrounding her is a silvery orb, centered from herself and comfortably extending out to accomodate her. The more opaque the stronger it becomes.
  • Cloaking Mode - the orb cloaks her from visual and electronic sensors. Effectively making her invisible to detection.
  • Ballistic Bombing - When inside the orb, it is like an hyper shock absorber, meaning she could survive a devastatingly high fall or impact. And so knowing this, this is her major offensive use of her powers; basically a human cannonball.

Weaknesses:
  • Flight - anything past Mach 1 and she needs to put up her orb. At Mach 3 she is flying blind.
  • Indestructable Shields - when invulnerable it is completely opaque and cannot see or hear outside it. Limited by air supply. Flight is almost 2nd nature to her but the shield requires breath-control and concentration.
  • Cloaking Mode - needs to be flying to activate/maintain and cannot use while shields up.
  • Ballistic Bombing - just because she hits does not mean she continues her flight path. She is prone to richocheting off of targets and randomly hitting other things like a pinball creating much collateral damage.

Equipment:
  • NightFlight Armour. - Combat armour that provides self-contained thermal regulator, long range comms, striking gauntlets and boot tips, Night vision and Infrared sensors. Also carries small First-Aid kit, binoculars and titanium field combat knife.
  • ***(Despite being proficient in multiple forms of small and heavy arms, as well as more destructive forms of explosives, her mentor Archangel has told her to focus and train the physical and flight facets of her combat package. And to train in situations so she does not rely so heavily on the tech of her Ballistic Flight Suit.)

"Paperboy"
| Wallace W. Daily| 18 | Male|

In Appearance, Wallace is your average high schooler. Standing at a good 5' 10", Wallace was born with gray-now-white hair, believed to be inherited from a distant unknown ancestor. He commonly hides this during the day using dense hair dying materials, making his alter ego have sandy brown hair that match his eyes of a similar color. Wallace is lanky, but not too thin. A slight smattering of freckles makes themselves known during the warmer seasons. His default expression is one of neutrality or curiosity. As Wallace, his clothing choice isn't anything to write home about, consisting mainly of graphic T-shirts, button-ups, and patterned jackets.
As Paperboy, his appearance changes considerably. He leaves his hair the stark color he was born with, and themes most of his outfit around that. Paperboy's main attire usually consists of a padded uniform resembling an outfit from a late 60s film, all in black, white, and grey, with the icon of a horseshoe emblazoned on the back. He wears specialized cleats that have extendable ends, and his signature accessory is that of a pair of round-rimmed goggles. These goggles are one-way, meaning while Paperboy can see everything, no one can see the entirety of his face.

Wallace is a curious but persistent individual. He can be impulsive at times but prefers to let the heavy hitters swing first. Due to his specialty remaining in agility, range, and precision, Wallace tries to get the bigger picture whenever he can unless absolutely necessary (such as helping a potential victim in an emergency situation). He's sometimes unable to stay on a topic for too long during a pressing event, always moving back and forth to get the most done before time expires. On top of that, Wallace always tries to see the hope in any conflict, that there's always a way forward and a way out. Wallace is also curious, and able to appreciate the wonder of the dark world around him. He's observant and asks the right questions when he assumes he can, always ready to learn and adapt.

When Wallace was very young, his parents perished in a horrifying train crash that killed hundreds of people. Wallace, however, barely remembers them. He currently lives with his grandmother, Posie Daily, whom he's lived with most of his life and sees as his true mother. Despite the tragic beginning, Wallace spent much of his life as a very normal kid. He went to school, learned how to ride a bike, made some friends, and joined the track team. It was the slow rise of villainy that truly affected the Dailys most. Various incidents led to several businesses closing or mass firing employees in the small town they lived in, including Wallace's grandmother. With not much money left for housing, they moved to the next cheapest thing: an apartment in Crossroads City. The sudden change was hard for both of them, but Wallace most, having never experienced (or remembered) such a drastic change of life. He had a hard time integrating into the social circles at Crossroads High, leading to him spending more time on his other hobbies. Slowly, Wallace realized the full potential of his brilliant mind, excelling in the sciences and earning a liking for engineering and robotics. On the other hand, Wallace leaned on the one thing he could still do in the city from his childhood: ride his bike. He came across several good biking routes and areas and began to practice stunts and tricks when no one else was around.
A number of villainous gangs began popping up around the city, hindering Wallace's biking practice and making the people fear for their livelihoods. It was then, however, that rumors of the city's first big hero began to rise. Not only that, but a hero without any powers. Interested, Wallace began to read into the hero now known as Toymaker, an intellectual combatant who uses a playful toy theme to negate the grimdark-ness of the crimes surrounding Crossroads. As Toymaker rose further, lesser heros and villains came out of the woodwork in response, including several young vigilantes in Toymakers name. Sadly, most of them were easily defeated and hospitalized, especially the ones only in it for the fame. After the news of these failed attempts began to fall short, Wallace, on a whim, decided he might as give a go at it. With a new bike he got for Christmas from his grandmother, a pair of swimming goggles, an old Halloween costume, and a tin bat, he snuck out one night. When he returned, he wasn't disappointed.
Toymaker's reputation continued to skyrocket, while Wallace's mysterious alter ego was whispered about in the streets as the 'boomerang rookie', since he never failed to return and finish a conflict, never failed to get back up in the small skirmishes he found himself in. Months passed, and as it turned out, Toymaker found Wallace and secretly invited him to his workshop, a large lair hidden in the back and underneath of an old antique store. Toymaker was impressed by Wallace's persistence and satisfaction with doing what Toymaker never got to, and the two paired up; with Toymaker's resources (and as a fellow engineer), they created the persona of Paperboy, themed around the old americana idea of young men tossing newspapers from bikes and playing rough games of baseball.

Paperboy's main equipment isn't as varied as Toymaker's but is just as useful. Paperboy's cleats, baseball bat, goggles, and bike have been mechanically re-engineered to be most useful when fighting crime. The cleats are retractable, the goggles offer split-second info on possible hazards, and the bat has been modified with the ability to shift the density from one part of the bat to another, creating blunter or softer force. Paperboy's bike, tenderly named Califax (the Terrible Speed), is the key part of his outfit. In Lamens terms, it's the equivalent to a simplified Bat-Bike or Bat-Car, though not nearly as high tech. The modifications allow for near-vertical riding, better slowing and speeding, and small booster areas allowing Paperboy to use his signature bike stunts, movements on the vehicle that are mixed with forms of combat. Some of these stunts include sick backflips, heinous kickflips, radical rotations, the Akira bike slide, and other such moves. There's even a feature that, if the bike is too far away and Wallace has access to an internet connection, he can send out a code in music notes that allows the bike to locate him.
Other equipment includes an old-fashioned satchel with an enhanced clasp, several baseballs as projectiles, and a dog whistle. He also wears a mask similair to this one.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Toymaker's appearance is a mix between Doc Brown and Willy Wonka, typically appearing in formal outfits with fanciful patterns, like pinstripes or polka dots. It varies much more than his sidekick's, as does his equipment, in order to keep his opponents guessing his next move. His equipment can range from spiked marbles to nutcracker drones due to his higher intellect and roboticist prowess. Despite his kooky attire and theme, he's very down to earth when need be and admires those that carry themselves with confidence and care for others. His catchphrase when frustrated is "Pickles..." and he tends to wear one-color masks connected to the hats and caps he wears on the streets.

The name Paperboy has another meaning, due to Wallaces ability to also deliver messages in non-confirmatory ways between urgent targets, including along walls and on top of roofs.

Toymaker has faced a number of villains, though a few stand out as nemeses. These include Department of Supernormal Engineering (DOSE), a small team of secret operatives from the council that would kill to get their hands on the tech Toymaker and Paperboy use; the Temple of Capricioun, a cult-like group of clown and jester-themed individuals who are said to have descended from Bragi. They believe that true joy comes from outright chaos, including minor and major inconveniences. They are led by Anne and Andy, a twin pair of red-headed super-powered individuals who have secretly have the power to lock someone in the state of feeling or emotion; and the Pilgrim, an orange rag-clad figure who always wears a blindfold and believes that true justice cannot be carried out by such shallow themed vigilantes.

Paperboy's icon is a Horsehoe to several stories his grandmother told him about how single horseshoes have the power to turn away bad luck.

Originally, before Toymaker suggested the inclusion of the bike into his persona, Wallace's ego was going to be Ripper, a horror-movie themed hero with a modular saw and gloves. Despite actually making most of the outfit and equipment, both partners decided it was too bleak and hid it away, but did not destroy it.
