hey guys, feel free to call me law. i'm 25+ and i've been writing since my early teens. i'm currently looking for new long-term roleplay partners and would love to hear the ideas you have brewing. out of character, i'm pretty laid-back. love chatting, sharing playlists, swapping pinterest boards. and yes, i'll be sending the occasional unsolicited picture of my pup. EST time zone. gamer, avid reader, full time worker.
about my writing and preferences.
i write third person, past tense. my posts usually fall somewhere between 700–1000+ words, depending on the scene. i aim to reply at least once a week, but i often write more frequently—sometimes multiple times a day if the momentum’s there. i'm flexible with character gender and open to all kinds of pairings. note: i might pass on something if i'm already writing a lot of the same dynamic to avoid burnout.
i prefer stories with layered plots and a bit of weight. i tend to write a full cast; while we can center things around mains, i’ll almost always incorporate side characters. pure fluff doesn’t hold me for long, i'll get bored quick; i need some conflict, angst, or grit to stay invested. historically accurate and cyberpunk-esque plots are an immediate no, just no experience or interest (sorry!). romance is welcome, but not required. i’m comfortable with darker content and don’t have many triggers; just ask. faceclaims can be realistic, drawn, anime, or purely descriptive.
writing in-character on discord is always my preference. i'm open to writing on rpn. let's talk about using other mediums if that's your thing.
what i’m looking for.
must be 21+, hard requirement. someone who’s just as into developing characters and pushing the story forward as i am. i don’t care about matching word count, but i do care about depth. writing that makes the plot move, characters grow; you get the idea. ideally, you post often enough that we both stay engaged and excited. if life gets busy or something’s not working, i’m always open to talking it through. stay communicative.
below are a few plot ideas i've drafted. they're open to inpretetation, extremely bare-bones, and definitely are not the end all be all. use them as inspiration, see if they align with an idea you have.

“Old Things Have Strange Hungers”
A character inherits an ancient estate, object, or title. Something with a long-forgotten history. The longer they stay, the more they begin to experience odd dreams, compulsions, and sightings. An old presence still lingers there, and it remembers being worshipped. Or loved. Or feared. It hasn't forgotten, and it’s hungry. (horror, psych. thriller)
"Weapons”
After a series of devastating attacks expose the fragility of national defense systems, a covert international task force is formed. Comprised of elite operatives from across the globe, each member is hand-picked for their unique skill set, psychological resilience, and murky pasts. (tactical action, war-torn, realistic)
“If we only had today”
Two friends live opposite lives. One reckless and all-consuming, the other quiet and cautious. When one is diagnosed with a terminal illness and given only weeks left, they decide to spend their time doing everything they’ve never dared. (slow burn, romance)
“Even the Gods”
An inventor creates a machine that allows mortals to commune with divine beings. They become fixated on a god of who initially humors them, but as the mortal’s obsession grows, the god must choose between burning the inventor away or falling into mortal ruin themself. (fantasy, romance, angst)
You Watch Me, I See You
In a decaying city wrapped in paranoia, a reclusive discovers someone has been watching them for weeks—leaving small offerings, cryptic notes, and detailed sketches of their life. When they finally catch the stalker, they’re not what anyone would expect. Both disturbed and magnetic, they claim to know the artist better than they know themselves. (stalker x the stalked, psychological thriller, horror)
⋆ ⋆ ⋆ ⋆
⋆ villain x civilian
⋆ icarus x the sun
⋆ lamb in wolf’s clothing
⋆ stalker x the stalked
⋆ enemies to lovers
⋆ friends to lovers
⋆ arranged marriage
⋆ forced friendship
⋆ war and refuge
⋆ social caste
⋆ forbidden love
⋆ “if we only had today”
⋆ “the first to die at the end”
⋆ protector x the protected
⋆ horror or psychological thriller
