Who turned off the magic?! (Gender and Species pairing open)
Magic circulates through the world via monoliths created by the Gods. These monoliths regulate the mana within the world and stores a huge amount of it. It's through these monoliths that the Gods bless this world. These monoliths remain hidden in the deepest secrets of the earth.
However, as time has gone on, the denizens of the earth have begun to take these gods for granted, talking about how they no longer need the gods or their magic to harness for the benefit of the civilization, the earth, and for the praise of that Gods..........so this came with a decree from the Elder God. Turn off the monoliths. With the supply of magic shut off, the denizens of the earth have to fend for themselves with only the natural abilities bestowed upon them. Magic, while usable, will not return when used. This means that mana is only replenished by the current supply of mana potions. No more can be made while the mana supply is cut off from the world
Years down the line and many civilizations are in dire straits. Plants that depended on water magic don't take to natural water and have died as a result. Animals who depended on magic to survive are now on endangered lists. Places sealed with magic have been released, unleashing horrid ancient creatures back into the world. Familiars kept alive with magic are unsummoned.
Magic used to tame animals or re-educate criminals have been released. It's no longer a sustainable phenomena to be harnessed. What was a gift has now been stripped away
The Elder God has issued a decree: Find the monoliths and reactivate them to re-release the mana back into the world. If the fire monolith is activated, mana for fire magic and ONLY fire magic is re-released back into the world. Problem is, these areas are not only hidden, but sanctified grounds as they are blessed by the gods.
Ah, hell. Now the ale that's made utilizing water magic or grown via earth magic now tastes flat. Those made immortal via magic are suddenly on life support on a timer dependent on how large their magic pool has grown over the years. Your Anchor Arm spell that you've been using to make yourself look like a body builder now exposes you for the weenie you actually are. Your meat preserved with magic has rapidly rotted. The young beauty that you're with now looks like a foot because she's been keeping her age down with magic.
The magic is gone from the world. Turn it back on
This RP is a light-hearted RP that has magic that begins very weak and only progressionally strengthens. It's a world in a dire position due to its dependence on magic and mana, and now that it's gone, the essence needs to either be restored or civilization will fall until it naturally resets and adapts without mana influence. One has to get around and fight potentially magic creatures with very limited to no magic.
To be an Explorer (Fandom: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon) (Gender pairing open)
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is one of my favorite things to RP and really the only Fandom I find worth RPing. I've never had a boring PMD RP as long as fun is placed above game mechanics. In this one, Pokemon in the guild have gone missing on a grand mission. Given that they're the only members available in the guild at the moment, it's up to a couple of trainee best friends to go save the missing members. Where did this Pokemon go? Why are they missing? What does this all mean for the guild?
Here, you can expect things to get a little loose from the games and I try to inject some real world logic into a game balanced for gaming's sake. Example: I do not think in a world of a battle of survival a Pokemon would only know 4 moves. Instead, they know EVERY move up to their level. If a Pokemon is level 50, they know every move they can naturally learn from level 1 to level 50. I also try to utilize Pokedex entries from some Pokemon, abilities, it goes fairly in depth and allows for a lot of flexibility while drawing inspiration from the entirety of the Pokeverse instead of rigidly sticking to a single game and that game's mechanics.
This one is planned to go far and away beyond this original plotline and even further away from the normal PMD mechanics with the above in mind. You can expect a lot of cheesy moments and affection between 2 friends (genders don't matter), cuteness and fluff, yet with sometimes dark moments and hopefully good battles. That's my vision anyways and that vision depends on the partner.
The Royal Escort (Fantasy) (Species and Gender pairing open)
Tensions are reaching a boiling point between the Kingdom of Qaria and the Kingdom of Prasia. As the two superpowers on the continent as well as the host of buffer zones between the two, the entire continent will be thrown into the war and the buffer zones caught in the crossfire.
In an effort to de-escalate and appease, as well as patch the economic weak points causing such tensions, there is an agreeance to marry off the heirs of the throne to secure an alliance and bring in a long-term era of peace. With the terms set and agreed upon, it is up to the Qaria's Royal Escort Convoy to get the Qarian Heir to the Prasian Kingdom safely and securely through a perilous land full of traps, bandits, rogue knights, hostile animals, unwelcoming territories, anarchist groups, and people who would love to start a war between the two biggest nations in the world.
While the heirs of the two kingdoms are to be MxF, everything else is open in terms of gender and species of all involved. If one is looking for a same sex pairing and they play an heir to be married, it'll open up some issues around not wanting to actually marry, but is being sent there for whatever reason. One can expect a lot of action here in various degrees and this story is versatile enough to allow extreme flexibility and a host of issues to be explored
