Realistic or Modern π¬πœπšπ«π² 𝐧𝐒𝐠𝐑𝐭, 𝐒𝐬𝐧'𝐭 𝐒𝐭?

Xander waited in high anticipation for her answer, he caught her gaze on his lips, it only got his hopes up a little more. He was hoping she'd say yes, hell he was hoping she'd just kiss him- why? He wasn't sure, he put it down to being drunk and in the mood to kiss someone. Well, not just someone.

He felt gentle taps of her fingers on his chest whilst she fiddled with the drawstring of his hoodie, something he didn't mind one bit. But as she let him down, he nodded and lowered his voice to the same volume as hers, "Okay." He replied, but followed it with a dramatic pout. Not that he was trying to make her feel bad, he was genuinely just sad about it. His hands lingered on her waist for a few moments more before he slid them off towards himself, as though his fingertips were savouring every millisecond of touching her that they could.

He took a small step back and stood up completely straight again, his expression returning to his normal drunken cheeky one. "Not now? So...Maybe another time?" He winked at her playfully before raising his eyebrows, and followed it with a chuckle he just couldn't seem to keep in. The brunette ensured his words sounded as he meant them; the last thing he wanted was for her to think he was pressuring her to kiss him at any point. Whilst he wanted it, at least whilst he was drunk, he respected her too much to do that.

Immediately Sky was a little embarrassed, the place came to mind immediately but she was reluctant to tell them. Ellie already knew this, and Alex probably couldn't care less, so they wouldn't be missing out on much anyway.

"In school." The girl spoke quietly, her head tilted downwards as if she couldn't face looking either of them in the eye. She wasn't sure how they'd react, she wasn't even sure how crazy it was. But it was wild for her, at least.

Relief washed over Ellie at his reaction. And surprise, too. He handled that exceptionally well. In fact, she didn't expect him to react so casually. Not that it was a bad thing, at all. She gave him a sweet smile, one filled with appreciation that things were going to remain fine between them. And though she wasn't ready to kiss him, part of her was sad that he retracted his body from her and that there was space between them once more. Her gaze remained on him the whole time as he backed away, her hands dropping away from his chest and slowly returning to her sides.

A smile broke out on Ellie's face, before it turned into a soft laugh at hearing his slight persistence. Rather than pressuring, she found it purely cute. Who knew Alexander Thompson had that sweet side to him.

"Yeah. I wanna kiss you sometime." Ellie told him innocently. It was the alcohol that allowed her to be so honest. It was also the alcohol that made her an absolute klutz. She stood up straight so she was no longer relying on the sink to support her, but then proceeded to stumble a bit in his direction, her legs feeling like absolute jello beneath her. Standing and walking around all day at work combined with more standing and drinking in Lindsey's kitchen had made her legs rather tired.

Her hands gripped onto Xander's arm for stability, the world around her feeling as though it wasn't still but rather spinning around. Only then did she realise that her previous suspicions were correct; Alexander was indeed fit underneath the hoodie. Unsure of how subtle she was being, she was hyper-aware of his hard muscles under her fingertips.

Joshua's eyes remained on her but his face lowered as his eyebrows lifted up. He then let out a laugh of surprise, not because he was laughing at her, but because he was totally shocked by the answer she had given him. He never pegged her as someone that would go on to do risky things like that, let alone in school. Realising she wasn't nearly as innocent as he made her out to be, his mind went to the gutter and he couldn't help but wonder just how extreme she was. His head cocked to the side at the thought and a corner of his lip tugged up into a light smirk. It was inappropriate, but he couldn't help it.

"Whoa?! You're freaky, Sky." Lindsey teased.

"Where in school?" Josh went on to ask right after, his tone laced with curiosity. She obviously had the option to tell him that his truth prompt only had the right to one question, not two, or she could go on an answer it. He was hoping that she would settle for the latter.

Alex let out a soft chuckle at Ellie's clumsiness, "Alright Ell. I know I'm hot but you don't need to fall for me." He joked, at the same time wrapping one arm around her waist and using the other to tuck her hair behind her left ear, so it wouldn't obscure her vision by draping in front of her eyes.

"Let's hope these seven minutes are over soon, hm? Then we can get you sat down." He smiled, he didn't think she was overly drunk, probably just a mixture of being under the influence and spending far too long on her feet. He supported her, letting her weight drape onto him so there wasn't so much causing her legs to remain sleepy. He was still drunk, but in his tall frame he was handling it rather well. He also didn't want to give in to his drunkenness and cause them to both fall onto the bathroom floor. Lots of rigid surfaces and a locked door? Not a good combination.

He thought about what she said, how she wanted to kiss him sometime. That was enough to satisfy him, at least he wasn't making a fool of himself by practically begging him to kiss her and her rejecting him. He knew he'd come to appreciate the rejection, not wanting the dynamic between the two to be ruined.

Sky huffed and laid down, her hands on her face as if to hide how flushed she actually was. She moved her leg and nudged Lindsey with it, looking over at her at the same time. "Shush."

Sky turned her head to look at Josh as he asked her the question, she bit her lip as she decided whether or not answering would be appropriate. She wanted to tell him, but wasn't certain that she was drunk enough. So, she sat up and reached for her drink, taking a large sip before looking back at him.

"That janitors closet opposite the gym hall." She cringed as she told him, laughing out of pure embarrassment. She brought her knees up to her chest and buried her head in them, only turning her head slightly so one of her eyes could look at Josh to watch for his reaction.

Ellie let out a slight gasp at his words, gently smacking his chest in response. "Now you're just getting cocky." She teased, though she had to agree with him; Alex was definitely hot. She had definitely acknowledged that in the past before, but seeing as they were merely friends, she didn't think about it as much. Well, now she wasn't sure what they were. Friends with the promise of a future kiss?

She tilted her head in the direction of his hand as he tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, gazing up at him. "What, you're not enjoying these seven minutes alone with me?" She challenged. Not that she was offended at all. Ellie was just trying to get some kind of reaction out of him. And, she was really drunk and in the mood to flirt. She knew he wanted to kiss her, but she enjoyed hearing him say those things and acknowledge them rather than just have Ellie read his body language. She let the side of her body rest against him, and placed her head against his chest as she looked up at him and awaited a response. The height difference meant she could do that without having their faces be too close to one another. The girl just really craving physical intimacy.

Joshua let out yet another loud laugh as she elaborated on where it had happened, throwing his head back slightly as he did so. He had his legs sprawled out in front of him and proceeded to draw one of them up so it was bent. He rested his elbow atop his knee, the rest of his forearm simply hanging off in the air.

"Wow." He simply said at first, momentarily pulling off his beanie with the hand resting on his knee and running his other hand through his curly, dark blonde locks. He ruffled them up a bit before returning the beanie onto his head. "Sky is a bad, bad girl." He joked, to which Lindsey laughed.

"Nah i'm playing. I genuinely thought you were like, super innocent though." He admitted with a slight shrug, reaching for his glass of water and lifting it up to his lips. Not that he wasn't interested in things about Sky, but now she had spiked his interest and he was tempted to ask her more truth questions.

"Oh I definitely am enjoying these seven minutes alone with you." He told her truthfully, eyes shifting gaze from her eyes to her lips when she spoke. In all honesty it was very hard for him to not kiss her, his arm around her and tucking her hair behind her ears would have to do, though. That, and the promise of a kiss one day.

The arm he had slung around her waist gripped on firmly enough for her to feel it was there, and be reminded of it when she'd move. His fingertips would tap against her gently every now and then as he kept them occupied.

"You kissed anyone before?" He asked her, trying to eliminate options as to why she didn't want to kiss him then. The fact she just didn't want to was an acceptable answer to him, of course, he was just wondering if it was something he did that put her off. On top of that, he actually knew very little about the girl, and her history intrigued him. At least whilst he was drunk- sober Xander probably wouldn't care one bit.

"Need to know if our future kiss is something worth the wait." He joked, chuckling at himself. He did find himself funny, he was probably the only person that he found funny. At least that's what he told himself. Very self-centred, but he liked what he liked.

As if Sky wasn't flushed enough, Josh's words instilled a whole new level of flustered. She knew he was joking around but that did not change the fact that he said it. Once she'd got over the initial excitement of the situation, she looked at him. "People surprise you." She poked his arm gently. But she did want to move on, some things had to be kept quiet, for now.

She got to thinking how Ellie and Xander had so much excitement and fun with the whole seven minutes in heaven, even if they didn't kiss the tension was there and it was thrilling. She was envious, and got to thinking what she could do to have some fun.

"Okay okay someone else's turn. Josh? Lindsey? Anyone up for a truth or dare, hmm?" She asked, pushing herself forward a little and spinning around so that she could face them both.

Ellie lowered her head for a moment as she let out a giggle, something she only did around boys that were giving her butterflies. Xander was definitely doing that. She felt all warm and fuzzy inside, not only because of the alcohol filling her stomach but particularly because of the big hand gripping her waist.

She let out a bit of a dry chuckle at his question, curious about if he genuinely thought she had never kissed anyone before. She wasn't offended, more like confused. "I've done more than that." She simply told him. Her love life was practically like every other 17 year old in a high school filled with charming boys.

"Mm i'd like to know that too." Ellie then told him, deciding that if he was going to be playing that game, she'd be doing it too. Her tone was almost challenging, not letting him take the upper hand in the situation.

"Yep." Joshua merely nodded, removing his arm from his knee and crossing his arms across his chest now because he found it to be far more comfortable.

"Alright, dare." He said as he shifted on the floor, finding it to be a little too hard for comfort. "Why are we on the floor when there's a perfectly good couch?" He remarked, gesturing to the furniture he was resting his back on.

"We can sit on the couch." Lindsey shrugged, indifferent to where they'd be sitting and instead looking at Sky to see what she thought.

"Okay okay, that's not what I asked!" He retorted, although he was somewhat offended that she'd done more than just kiss a boy. He did laugh, though, and was shocked when she wanted him to tell her vaguely what he'd been up to.

"Mm, what do you think?" He asked, raising a brow slightly. Not only did he not want to give a straight answer, but he was curious as to what people thought of him, so he wanted her to answer it. He'd reveal the truth either way, but his curiosity got the best of him. He liked her challenging tone, he liked that she didn't back down or shy away in front of him.

Sky chuckled and stood up, bringing her drink with her as she moved to the couch. She curled up a little on the right side of the couch, making herself comfortable. "Okay. Dare. Now, if you don't want to do this you can answer a truth question instead. Buuut if you choose to answer the truth one you can't go back to the dare, okay?" She said excitedly.

"If you laugh, you have to take off a piece of clothing." She grinned like she was proud of herself. In her drunk mind she had no clue of how appropriate or inappropriate that dare was, but it was a dare after all. And he always had a chance to not do it. Her thought process began with him being high, thinking if he was ever going to giggle he'd do it now.

"Doesn't matter what I think." Ellie told him bluntly, offering him a sweet smile. She wasn't about to give him another ego boost so easily. But if she was going to be honest with herself, she did think it would end up being worth the wait. That is, if Ellie wasn't so far gone that she would forget all about the details of tonight in the morning. Alexander was sort of perceived as an outcast by others, but she had heard plenty of girls talk about how attractive he was but none of them seemed bold enough to approach him. Either that, or they simply didn't seem to pique his interest apparently.

Joshua was relieved that they agreed on moving to the couch. He felt relief shoot through his body as he finally dropped down onto the soft material. Quite honestly he could just melt into the couch at this point. Like before, his legs were sprawled out in front of him and his hands were clasped atop his stomach, listening to Sky's proposition. However as she mentioned the very last bit, he snapped his head in her direction and gave her a surprised look.

"I'm not wearing anything under my hoodie." He stated. His shoes were already off, and there was no way in hell he was taking his pants off in front of his friends. He wanted to make a joke about it, but held back because his jokes were typically accompanied by a small laugh on Joshua's side. Apparently laughing meant taking something off, so he held back.

"Bring it on. Dare." He challenged, his arms moving to cross over his chest as he anticipated what she could possibly dare him.

"Well, you'll enjoy it. I promise." He said with a smirk, his arrogance beaming. The attention he was getting from her was definitely boosting his ego, whilst some girls were often interested in him, or at least attracted to him, they'd never churn up the courage to talk to him. He wouldn't bite, but they seemed to think that he would. So when Ellie was so close to him, talking to him and matching his confident tone it made him feel good.

Xander looked towards the door, wondering when the time would be up. He was kind of hoping it would last longer, he was enjoying being so close to her and apart from helping her to the couch their touch would most likely diminish.

"How drunk are you?" He asked her, wondering if he should stop drinking or carry on. He wasn't completely hammered but he was growing unsure of if he should let himself get to that stage. He could gage roughly her level of intoxication but she could definitely judge it better than he could.

"It's a good job it's warm in here then, isn't it?" The girl giggled, referencing the fact he may be taking his clothes off at some point.

"Okay...Joshua, what was your last sexual fantasy?" She looked at him with a very mischievous smile, though her eyes kept some remnants of her innocence. Peering over at Lindsey, Sky saw her eyes widen at such a personal question. The brunette didn't expect him to answer it, in fact it was part of her plan. She hoped he knew that if he really didn't want to answer the question or take clothes off, he wouldn't have to and no one would think differently, but was of course had faith that wouldn't be the case.

Xander was kind of arrogant, but for some reason Ellie liked that. She preferred that over someone plagued with insecurity. She shifted a little on her feet so she wouldn't have to fully rely on him and would be able to walk properly to the couch. The last thing she needed was the other three in the room thinking something had actually happened in the bathroom. For some reason PDA or doing anything in front of her friends sort of freaked her out.

"Hm.." Ellie thought for a moment, staring up at the ceiling in thought. "I'm drunk." She told him, unaware that her answer was incredibly vague and likely did nothing to answer his question. When she finally realised that, she let out a small laugh, returning her eyes to him. "You?" Ellie asked, moving her arms so they were wrapped around his waist and her hands were clasped together around him in a hug.

Joshua eyed her, though a big part of him was convinced that whatever question she had in mind, he would answer with no hesitation. He doubted she'd go down the road of asking something personal about his family, so he didn't worry about his clothes leaving his body.

Until he heard what she asked of him. His response was a slight scoff, an immediate indication that he was not going to answer that question. Even Lindsey looked shocked by that question, an odd look on her face. Without a word, Josh sat upright and his fingertips took ahold of the hem of his sweatshirt. With one swift move, he pulled it up and off his body.

His olive skin was now exposed to the entire living room. Little moles dotted his chest, stomach and arms like sparse freckles. He wasn't jacked, but his stomach was toned and protruding cool-toned veins followed up from his hands to his biceps, fading into the skin by his shoulders. His collarbones were sharp, as were the ribs just barely poking out from underneath his skin. He was the perfect balance between toned but slim, with not a single hair evident across his chest or stomach. The curvature of his waist was slender and delicate, contrasted against the dark colour of the couch.

Joshua was by no means insecure, but he felt rather odd sitting there half-naked while everyone else was clothed, so he reached a hand up to scratch the back of his neck for the sake of doing something, the muscles of his bicep twitching with every movement of his fingertips itching his skin.

"How long do I have to be like this?" He then asked, breaking the silence.

Xander was rather taken aback by the hug, he didn't actually remember the last time he was embraced in such a warm interaction. He didn't strictly hug back, but his arms snaked around her with his palms resting on different points of her body, not wanting to seem cold-hearted. "I'm quite drunk. I wanna be more drunk." He chuckled. "Can we get more drunk?" He asked her, as if wanting her permission despite him not needing it.

He really seemed to loosen up now that he was drunk and a little more comfortable around Ellie, being alone with her helped quite a lot. Maybe since he wasn't as close to their other friends he was less inclined to reveal his softer side.

Sky was by no means expecting him to take off his sweatshirt, and by the look on her face neither was Lindsey. The brunette couldn't peel her eyes off of him, she did feel slightly bad that this doing could make him feel slightly uncomfortable or odd, but she wasn't about to take her t-shirt off. That would be odd.

Her gaze followed a trail of small moles up from his stomach to his arms, taking in all of the perfect details of his torso. The way his veins flowed down his arms like little rivers, his collarbones sharp like mountain ridges and the tone of his skin making his eyes glow like orbs- okay maybe she did like him. Her eyes eventually met his again, it was more than likely obvious that she was checking him out since her drunkenness did her no favours when it came to subtlety.

In her head she wondered if she was simply just attracted to the way he looked, and she was sort of hoping that she was. Vanity wouldn't keep her interested forever, but she began to ponder if she'd stare at any other guy like that. The answer was no, she wouldn't look at another shirtless guy and start comparing his features to nature. She shook herself out of thought when he lifted his arm, the movement separating her from her light daydream.

"What? You don't like being shirtless?" She teased. "Uhh, just a few minutes." She shrugged, she wasn't about to force him to stay shirtless the whole evening. Plus she figured it might get a little uncomfortable when they were joined by the two others. "Maybe until after the next persons go, or something." She added for clarity. Just then, the timer she left on the floor went off. She set her drink on the little table beside the couch and stood, going over and picking it up. With a giggle she headed to the bathroom door and knocked.

"Guuuyyys, stop making out! Timer's up!"

Joshua simply crossed his arms over his stomach, feeling as though that would cover up a little bit of skin. The house wasn't as warm as Sky made it out to be.

The boy had definitely noticed Skylar's stare. Again. He couldn't blame her this time, though. He sort of liked receiving female attention, but only from the right kind of girls. Skylar seemed to be part of that exclusive list. As their eyes met, he lifted his eyebrows as an indication that he knew she had been staring, and was sort of questioning her. He liked calling people out and making them flustered. He could make jokes about it and tease them. Though he was oblivious to certain things, he knew damn well that Sky had probably gotten up to avoid confrontation about the fact that he had caught her staring. And not for the first time that night.

Ellie nodded her head at his proposal. She wasn't quite at her limit yet, so she could definitely drink a little more. His arms around her felt really nice. She hadn't had that type of physical intimacy in a while, so she very gladly accepted it. With her face by his chest, pressed against his sweatshirt, she could smell his cologne. It suited him perfectly.

She was taken out of her little fantasy world by a knock on the bathroom door, indicating their 7 minutes in heaven were over. Ellie couldn't deny that she felt bummed by that, and although she didn't release her arms from Alex right away, she eventually returned her hands to her side and stepped away from him with a quiet sigh. She doubted something similar to that would happen again anytime soon for some reason.

"Wasn't making out!" Ellie called out to the other side of the door, holding her hands out by her sides for a moment as she stabilised herself before she decided she was in good enough condition to walk straight toward the door. She unlocked it from the inside, glancing back at Xander before opening it.

"Okay.. what were you guys up to?" Ellie commented, the first thing catching her attention being a shirtless Joshua sitting on the couch with a bag of cheetos as she peeked her head out. She thought that she and Xander were the ones with the interesting dare, but apparently not.

"You're one to talk." Josh retorted, proceeding to crack his knuckles one by one as he sat there. Lindsey, on the other hand, was sitting there and looking at them expectantly, waiting to hear a little bit of gossip about what went on in the bathroom.

Similarly, Alex was quite reluctant to release his grasp on her. He could smell the sweet scent of her perfume that he'd watched her apply earlier that evening, it was a welcome smell and soon enough he'd associate it with her. But he'd rather let her go than get caught canoodling in the bathroom. He tousled his hair a little with his hand and proceeded to follow Ellie towards the door, being able to see what was going on outside without moving since he towered over her.

"Not making out." He told them, wanting to eradicate any rumour that had been circling around. "You can stop staring because literally nothing happened." The boy was not about to tell the group that he'd spent minutes trying to kiss her and then settled with her in his grasp, head rested on his fairly built chest.

Skylar sat back down in her seat on the couch as they spoke. When she looked at Josh from their point of view near the bathroom it did look quite suspicious, but she didn't mind.

"Nothing interesting happened here, either." She lied with a quiet giggle, wondering if Josh or Lindsey would expose it.

Lindsey raised an eyebrow, "Actually, Skylar made Josh take off his shirt and then spent like an hour ogling him." The blonde girl exaggerated, but it still happened nonetheless. To this, Sky held up a middle finger towards Lindsey, that had really embarrassed the brunette but that was her only reaction to it. She picked up her drink and sipped, looking to Alex and Ellie to see if they had anything to add.

As Ellie stood by the bathroom doorway, she couldn't help the little smirk that appeared on her lips as Alex mentioned absolutely nothing happening. She did her best to suppress it but was failing a little bit. She could always blame it on her intoxication. She thought it was interesting how he mentioned absolutely nothing happening, when in reality they would've been kissing the entire time if it wasn't for Ellie setting boundaries for the night. His personality between closed doors compared to when he was around others seemed totally different.

When Sky mentioned that nothing interesting happened, Ellie felt like it was a lie. Something interesting had to have happened for Josh to end up shirtless and on the couch. She gave Sky a look, as though waiting for an explanation, but Lindsey gave one first. Ellie's initial was a small laugh, and she returned her gaze to Sky. As much as she was tempted to tease her friend in front of Josh like that, she decided against it. Based on how Sky reacted to Lindsey, it seemed like it wasn't something Sky wanted to be teased about for now.

"Okay.. how did she make him take off his shirt?" Ellie asked as she crossed her arms and carefully stepped into the living room in case Alex wanted to join them. She was planning on making a stop by the kitchen to grab drinks once the conversation would calm down a little, but for now she stood there.

"Cause he didn't wanna answer a question about his latest sexual fantasy." Lindsey briefly explained, to which Josh rolled his eyes.

"Yeah. Can you blame me?" He remarked. He wasn't genuinely annoyed, he was simply being incredibly sarcastic. Thanks to the dare he had a rather big ego boost now, knowing that his physique was nice enough for Skylar to 'ogle', as Lindsey put it.

The girl sunk into her seat, wishing she could disappear from that moment. She had already guessed that Josh noticed her unsubtle peering at his body but it was on a whole other level when her friends spoke about it aloud.

"You make me sound like a creep!" She exclaimed to the both of them, letting out a playful huff. She grabbed a cushion and held it against her body, arms wrapped around it for comfort. "He had a choice." She said looking at Ellie and Xander, wanting to confirm that it wasn't as though he was in a life or death situation where he had to undress.

Alex just laughed and headed out into the kitchen to grab himself another one of his beers from the refrigerator. "Sounds like you had more fun than we did, anyway." He commented, walking back into the lounge and one-handedly opening his can. He sloppily sat down and leant back, taking a good sip of his beer.

"What's happening now, then?" He asked them, not ready for the fun to be over yet. He thoroughly enjoyed his time in the bathroom with Ellie but he wanted more excitement now. His eyes drifted over to look at the before mentioned girl as he waited for someone to pipe up with an answer.

Lindsey looked at him, then at the group. "I suppose we could carry on with truth or dare, or do something different." She shrugged. "Anything is wonderful as long as we're drinking!" She held up her glass. "Oh, sorry Josh." She giggled, remembering his distinct lack of alcohol intake that evening.

"Being a creep isn't bad." Josh told Sky as he sat up straight and grabbed his sweatshirt, flipping it the right way around. Obviously, he was kidding and didn't think she was a creep, he just really wanted to get a reaction out of her. He proceeded to stick his hands through the armholes and pull the sweater back onto his body, instantly letting out a sigh upon feeling the warm material come into contact with his skin.

Ellie, too, eventually stepped into the kitchen when it was empty, refilling her drink and tasting it to make sure the ratio of vodka to coke was decent before returning to the living room. All of the seats on the couch were taken, and since she was wearing a short skirt, she wasn't particularly fond of the idea of potentially flashing everyone, so she remained standing even though part of her really wished to sit down. She was leaning with her side against the wall, sipping her drink as she listened to the conversation.

"Truth or dare is getting kinda dull." Josh admitted to the group, wanting to switch games but having no ideas in his mind on what they could potentially do. Drinking games were off the table since Josh couldn't partake in those, but he wasn't sure on what else to suggest, so he looked toward the rest of the group in hopes that someone had some type of idea.

"I dunno." Ellie shrugged.

Sky raised an eyebrow, "Well it wouldn't matter either way because I'm not one!" She protested, shaking her head with a tut.

When Ellie walked back into the lounge, Xander kept his eyes on her and completely ignored the conversation. Though he was tall, since he was sat down he was at perfect eye level with Ellie's body and made no effort to hide that he was kinda, maybe definitely checking her out with no shame whilst doing so.

At the same time he obviously noticed that she was standing up, and he wanted her to sit. Maybe if he was feeling a little bolder or it was just the two of them he'd offer for her to sit in his lap but it seemed a little too odd to do that as of now. So he stood, eyes glancing from her legs up to her face as he did so.

Lindsey looked at them all and toyed with the idea of spin the bottle, but she figured that there wasn't anyone there she personally would like to kiss and since there was tension between Ellie and Alex already, she didn't want to break it or make it worse. Sure she loved playing matchmaker but that would be risky.

"Kidding," Josh told her, tilting his head in her direction with a light smirk. He figured he had embarrassed her enough already, and he knew how to take a hint, so he chose to drop it and move onto the next subject. No one seemed to have an idea on what to do, so Josh simply sat there, stretching his arms out wide and placing them atop the back of the couch, his hands hanging off the sides. One of his hands was just a few inches away from the back of Sky's head, but he wasn't touching her so he figured it was fine.

Ellie flicked away the few droplets of coke that had dripped onto her hand as she poured the coke, wiping it away with a nearby kitchen towel before proceeding to return to the living room where everyone else was. Lindsey, Josh and Sky seemed engaged in their own conversation, but as her eyes stopped on Xander, she found that his were focused elsewhere. Her thighs, particularly, and then up her body til they reached her face. She was already looking at him at this point, cocking her head to the side as she stood there with her glass of alcohol.

"What are ya staring at?" She told him as she stood in front of him, calling him out but keeping the volume of her voice rather low to prevent drawing attention to them from the entire room.

"We should do this more often." Josh then commented, deciding he may as well keep some sort of conversation going. He wasn't sure why they didn't all hang out like this more often. There were tons of places they could go to, like a diner or a bowling alley or just stay in and rent a movie. Or if they were to grab it from Ellie's job, maybe they wouldn't even have to pay.

"Yeah!" Lindsey agreed. Her Friday nights were typically spent with other people, but she really enjoyed the company of her newfound friend group.

"You." He said, afterwards taking a sip of his drink.

"I'm staring at you." Alex continued boldly, there was no point in hiding it and trying to play it off would just be embarrassing. He didn't care that she caught him staring.

"Now sit down." He said, gesturing to the now empty seat. He wasn't about to make her stand up for the rest of the evening, that would just be plain cruel. He wouldn't make just anyone take his seat, though, there were few people he pushed aside his selfishness for.

Sky looked over at Josh when he suggested they do it more often; that made her very happy. It was rather rare that just the two of them would ever hang out, so at least this way she could see him outside of school, even if it was with the whole group. "Why? You like being half-naked?" She teased him.

Lindsey let out a laugh before she spoke, as if she humoured herself before the words could even escape her mouth. "Well, you sure like seeing him half-naked."

Ellie was a little stunned by his boldness. For some reason she thought he'd play it off with a mere shrug or simply say nothing. She responded with a slight laugh, looking down at her feet for a moment with a smile. Her outfit choice had definitely been smart tonight; a small part of her was planning on showing up wearing something comfy, but it seemed her choice worked to her advantage at least a little.

"Thaanks." She told him with a wide smile, taking the spot on the couch he was previously sitting on. Relief shot through her legs as she hit the soft couch, instantly feeling much better. She pulled down her skirt a little so it was covering more, before crossing a leg over the other, looking up at Alexander. "Where are you gonna sit?"

Josh immediately turned his attention toward Skylar's attempts at teasing him. Oh he had just the comeback.

"Weren't you the one that came up with the dare that made me do it?" He reminded her, speaking shortly after Lindsey. "That too." He agreed with Lindsey. Now he didn't mind teasing Sky. He had tried to change subject, but seeing as she returned to it, now he'd keep pestering her with it.

A shrug was all that Alex replied with, he really didn't mind standing up. Hours of manual labour, standing and working built up stamina in his legs and he hadn't been standing that day for nearly as long as Ellie had. So, he leant against the wall and sipped at his drink, still wanting to be more drunk than he was in that moment. Ellie's outfit had definitely caught his attention, if he was sober he probably wouldn't look twice but since he was really quite drunk he couldn't actually stop looking.

Once his drink slid down his throat, he leant down and hovered his lips close to her ear to whisper, "You could've sat on my lap, y'know..." Before standing up straight again and using the wall behind him to support his body. He continued to drink his beverage as if he hadn't just said anything.

With the teasing from both Josh and Lindsey, Skylar's cheeks turned a gentle pink.

"Well-" She went to continue but simply did not have anything else to say. They were both right, and she was too drunk to come up with something witty, so she ended her short sentence by nodding and laughing.

Lindsey laughed along with her, glad that they could all have a laugh about it. "It was a good dare to be fair to you, Skylar. Plus he deserved it after being so nosey!" She said, referring to his questions about the craziest place Sky had done it.

Ellie had her back against the plush couch, and as she felt Xander by her ear, she just barely moved her head in his direction, a hint of a smile on her lips in response to him. Sinking further into the couch, she looked up at him with the glass between both her hands.

"You wish." She whispered softly up to him, maintaining eye contact with the boy as she sipped on her drink.

"Telling someone the weirdest place you've done it isn't nearly as bad as sharing your last sexual fantasy." Joshua proceeded to defend himself. Hell, if he had been asked the same question he asked, he would've answered it without hesitation. He'd more than gladly tell them that.

Josh felt like the peak of his high was ending, and he was slowly reaching the point where he was going to start sobering up. That bothered him a little, but he told himself he couldn't roll another one or they'd have to stay here pretty late.

"I do." He said, maintaining the contact with her that she had established.

At this point he was trying to get a reaction out of Ellie, he really enjoyed being so flirty with her. It was entertaining and felt good, how could he resist? The alcohol had definitely turned him into a flirtatious drunk, since in everyday life when he was sober he wouldn't even consider flirting with someone for fun.

"Yeaaah but then you asked me another question about it. Now every time you walk past that janitors closet...well, you know." She said followed by a shudder, giggling to keep it light hearted, which it was, before finishing off her drink.

"You found out a whole new side of me tonight, I think that was worth taking your sweatshirt off for a few minutes." She added.

Ellie bit the inside of her cheek before shaking her head softly and looking away with the smile still sitting on her face, unsure of what else to tell him. Within a few seconds her eyes were on him again, unable to tear them away from his face. Her eyes momentarily lowered to look at his hands, which were roughly at level with her face, taking in their rough appearance. He probably was good with them. Realising her mind had gone to the gutter, she returned her eyes to his pretty face, not particularly interested in joining the conversation happening next to her but much rather preferring to look at him. She felt comfortable with her head against the back of the couch despite the world spinning.

"Not my fault you give vague answers." Josh told her challengingly, reaching down to grab the glass of water he had left on the floor before taking a sip from it. "Didn't you dare me to lick a chip seductively too?" He added, his eyebrows lowered as though he was asking her a question despite already knowing the real answer.

"Oo the girls are fighting." Lindsey joked, despite Josh not actually being a girl. Josh gave her a questioning look, and as she burst into a fit of giggles, he realised she was definitely just very drunk and blabbering bullshit.

"I did, and I'm not ashamed of it!" Skylar retorted with a grin. She was quite happy with the outcome of her dares that evening.

For the rest of the evening, Alex sipped his drinks but kept the pace slow, he wasn't getting any drunker and allowed himself to remain in little bubble of being content. Of course he often shared a glance with Ellie, his eyes focusing on different parts of her body now and then. He wasn't trying to be creepy, but he knew that so he didn't care too much what Ellie thought of him doing that.

As the night came to an end, Skylar grew a little sleepy and it appeared Lindsey did too. So mutually, it was decided they should call it a night. Since they didn't even start it until after 10:30 it was getting pretty late now.

Skylar hugged Lindsey tightly, thanking her incessantly for having them all over that night, until she eventually pulled away. Alex smiled at Lindsey and patted her on the top of her head.

"Thanks for tonight, Lindsey." His thank you was kept short and sweet, and he went outside to get some fresh air and wait by the car. He figured that he'd be eligible for a lift home too, but he didn't want to cause an inconvenience. If Joshua was alright with taking him, too, he could just drop him off near the Video House, it was a short walk from there to his house and being a fairly well built, 6'4 man there was no need for him to worry about what lurked in the depths of the night.
