Durability: [This attribute directly affects the amount of damage your character can withstand. At five points your character can shrug off hits from foes with average strength. Ten points will allow your character to survive a great deal of blunt force, while making it to twenty points grants an immunity to dull weapons. At max, this attribute will allow a character to survive high falls and poorly made weapons will chip on their body, 50 points]

Dexterity: [This will greatly influence how much your character can dodge; five points allows you to dodge hits from characters possessing four points or less, so much so, you’re able to dance around them. Ten points allows you to be more flexible and agile with your movements. You find the battlefield to be more of an effortless dance. Five points will grant you the means to pester barkeeps, wanderers, citizens for more information, if possessing a lower charm score than you, you’ll successfully manage to get a bit of information out of them. Ten points, you’re slowly becoming a master of your words, so much so, the world seems to tilt in your favour, charming some hostile encounters. And 50 points will allow you to charm hostile encounters; animals and tame the more ferocious animals found within the RP; 20 points you can tame smaller animals]

Chi [MANA]: [The source of all abilities, this will determine how much chi your character has and how well they can control it. The control and chi reserves increase with every point, with a noticeable change for characters at every fifth point.]

Personality:
"Is there anything I can do to help?" Anyone who knows Ce speaks firstly of the young man's kindness and his devotion to his people. At a young age he learned that it is his responsibility to protect those who cannot protect himself and that became the foundation for his character. Raised by a soldier and government official, Ce is the exemplar of respect and order. He never speaks out of turn, never bashes someone else's ideas, and never looks down on those less fortunate than himself. He is an optimist at hearts, so much so that some find it annoying, especially in this time when so little hope exists. When interacting with others, Ce is a radiant light that tries to keep people smiling and happy.
While combat is new to him, Ce is learning to handle himself and his abilities in a fight. So far he favors protecting those around him rather than trying to be big and flashy.

Backstory:
Born to the head of the Shi family, Ce lived a privileged life and wanted for nothing as a child. Life in the south as the leader of Jiaozhi Province afforded them a great life. As a child, Shi Ce was happy and creative, and spent the majority of his time studying and learning new things. While he was a happy kid, their family estate was never noisy. His father was a product of a time of war and didn’t approve of reckless or disruptive behavior in the house. Being that he was also a government official he liked some peace and quiet whenever he had time at home. Shi Ce’s mother was said to have come from royalty, but she was the only surviving member of her family and very few people ever brought up her heritage as it was now irrelevant since they were ruled by the Han. The only sadness Shi Ce knew as a child was when his mother died during an outbreak that swept through the southern regions of china. It was a dark period for the entire province.
As the years went by the lives of the people of Jiaozhi got better and better, partially thanks to the Water Dragon moving to the region. Her arrival affected not only the people but the land as well. Rivers ran with the purest, cleanest water and the harvesters each year got better and better. While living in a figurative bliss, Shi Ce’s father had time to focus on his son’s education and chose to begin honing his Chi skills as well. Shi Ce’s father was a warrior like his father before him, like so many of the men in their family had been, but he wanted something different for his son. Elementalists were powerful figures and a;though he did not raise Shi Ce to believe power was everything, he didn’t want his son to know fear. So Elementalist from all over the empire traveled to Jiaozhi to audition for the chance to be the young lord’s mentor. Eventually they settled on a well known mentor from the imperial academies and Shi Ce’s training began.
Although he was the heir to Jiaozhi, Shi Ce lived a pretty average life. His free time was devoted to the arts and growing its influence in the province while the rest of his time was spent training. He had become an established elementalist by the time he was twenty and had gained an interest in expanding his capabilities. He wasn’t interested in gaining power just to scare people, but to use it to help his citizens and improve their lives.
Jiaozhi seemed to be a paradise in the empire, until the emperor made his move. For months Shi Ce’s father had warned the emperor against his idea to attack the Water Dragon, especially while she still resided in Jiaozhi Province. The damage from a war with such a beast would be astronomical and many people in the region would suffer. His words fell on deaf ears unfortunately. When the imperial army arrived in Jiaozhi with so many familiar lords leading the charge, Shi Ce’s father felt that he had been betrayed by them and the emperor. He ordered an evacuation of the villages near the dragon’s temple and sent his own armies to join the fight. While he was against the decision, he could not ignore the Emperor without consequences, and he did not want his family or people to suffer.
The fighting went on for several long hours and didn’t end until the sun began to rise on a new day. The Imperial army had struck down the dragon goddess and what followed was worse than anyone could have predicted. A powerful shockwave swept across Jiaozhi and in an instant everything was destroyed. Villages, forests, and even the palace were leveled by the power. The land had been completely rearranged and the death toll was beyond counting. When he finally emerged from the rubble of his family’s home, Shi Ce didn’t even recognize his land. It appeared as though they had been hit by every natural disaster the gods could think of. What remained of the imperial army marched home and when his father never returned, it became clear to Shi Ce that his last parent had died in the fighting. He mourned with his people for days and even when spirits started to arrive and chaos was on the rise, Shi Ce did not act. What remained of his people fled to the west, but he remained to try and put their home back together.

Her robes are tattered and dirty with patches than the picture from not only farming but also hunting. She has grown to adore green colors to camouflage herself from any wild animal. Surprisingly, she is hated more often than not because her spirit never seems to break thus creating envy among the salted folk. As stated, Jin's determination is strong holding a fire in her gaze visible to anyone capable of noticing. She's the type of person who will sacrifice herself for others, be their shield and fight to the bitter end.

In combat, Jin's reflexes heighten only when someone is in dire need of medical. Her senses as a healer is to act. This has happened on a few occasions during a hunt with her father. Lastly, because of where she came from, anything different than what she's used to amazes her. She tends to praise and encourage them never faltering in cheering herself up or others.

It became daily life addition eventually teaching Jin how to hunt, to her father's dismay. He wished to keep his daughter within the boundaries of his plot of land, but alas, in case of anything teaching her to forage is an important skill for their survival.

As Jin grew up, she noticed their situation wasn't as great. There was always something troubling her poor parents causing them to argue and worry for Jin. Eventually, she felt like such a burden and needed to step up her game and play a bigger role in their life. It was then that the girl created her facade of forcing a smile and being the peppy kid to cheer up her parents. She would help and manage everything, anything to lighten the load.

Height: 6’4”

Weight: 190lbs

Personality:
The squeaky wheel gets the grease, and Ren was the most silent wheel. To this day Ren is considered to be unusually quiet by those who know him well enough. He isn’t one to fight for attention and in fact dislikes it a great deal. As such he also dislikes loud and obnoxious people who can’t seem to avoid attention.
One thing that most people are wrong about when describing Ren, is his cold heart. He is anything but cold and that people find him to be so, is one of the things he hates about himself. The truth of the matter is, Ren is a realist and prefers to follow head than his heart. It doesn’t always lead to the happiest outcomes, but it does produce the most useful results.
When engaged in combat, Ren’s calculating mind and disdain for unnecessary pain causes him to fight in a way that will usually end his opponent’s life quickly. He isn’t one to drag out their suffering and hates people that enjoy torturing others.

Class: Warrior

Kong Family Sword

Backstory:
“What I did before now does not matter. What I will do is what’s important.”
Formerly the second son of the Kong family, Ren is now the only son and one of the few survivors from his province. When the Water Dragon was defeated, the lands closest to her territory suffered the most, but damage was still done in places farther away. On the northeastern side of the empire, the small territory of the Kong family was hit with a drought after the shockwave passed over them. THe water seemed to mysteriously drain away and the rivers that didn’t dry up were tainted. Then there were the demons and the undead. It had only been two days since the cataclysm before the monster showed up. Anyone that remained in the territory fled when the first undead horde ravaged the farmlands and burned down homes. Ren and his family however, stayed and tried to save as many people as possible. Ren believed it was a foolish decision as none of these people would be able to repay their sacrifice and likely wouldn’t thank them. He wasn’t the only one that thought this way, and when he declared he was leaving to find a safer place to call home many of their soldiers followed Ren. With their army abandoning them, Ren’s family home was overrun within hours and his kin lost within the hordes.
In the days that followed, Ren and what remained of the Kong military set up camp in the forests of Li Province. They have become bandits, attacking any and everything that travels along the roads. Their stolen goods have afforded them a fortified camp in an area relatively safe from the spirits, for now. But Ren’s armies have been striking further and further west at his command, expanding his reach over many abandoned territories. He has even battled imperial soldiers and what remains of the governing lords for control of their provinces. Although he has yet to lay claim to any castles, Ren’s determination hasn’t wavered one bit.

Name: Xilong
Age: 94
Gender: male

Appearance:
images (36).jpeg
Personality: Xilong somewhat thinks himself to be a charismatic charming individual but honestly he's more annoying than anything else.. because personal space is a myth to this spirit, who generally pretends he's much more powerful than he actually is, with the occasional suggestion he deserves some respect, and of course everything he does is 200% intentional and he clearly knows what he's doing at all times... unless someone starts asking about it the thin veil of respectability and "power" xilong keeps falters quickly. because in reality, he's just a goofball that hardly knows what he's doing 40% of the time.

Class: elementalist
Attributes:
Strength -
Durability - 2
Dexterity - 3
Intelligence - 3
Charm - 1
Chi - 6
Skills: TBA

Equipment: a set of impressive look ornate daggers and necklace with a face simple of some powerful spirit that doesn't actually exist
Backstory: Xilong's story begins with the death of the water dragon allowing the young spirit to pass through the barrier. Well more accidently fall though it since he generally remained distant form other spirits in order to save them from his unstable chi... managing to happen upon some painting of a spirit superficial resembling himself thusly leading to some of his smugness

Older male, black hair with some silver-streaked in. Brown eyes. Pointy mustache and beard. High cheekbones. Thin, long eyebrows. Thin. 1.8 M. Back, chest, arms covered in tattoos.
Personality:

Sang Long is a patient and polite individual. He is generally a kind man, but he has a hard cold side to him. He is a healer, one who enjoys seeing to his patients. But like any medical professional he is more than willing to remove what ails his patients. And Sang Long has the most difficult of patients, an entire province, the Jing province to be exact. He can and will make the hard decision if it is expected of him.

Skills:
Merchant
Administrator
Politician

Equipment: whatever a lord can lay his hands on his time of need.

Backstory:
Sang Long was born into the Long family, who traditionally have always ruled the Jing province. Sang was born with the rare healer talent, which sealed his role in the Long clan. The Longs aren’t a traditional ruling clan. The longs used to be a branch family of the Song clan, but some creative politicking, a few well-timed deaths and a son with the healer talent helped him rise to the prominent position they are now in. Most of that success has been due to Sang. Not only did his talent make the Longs popular his keen mercantile insight also made them rich. Not that there are many Longs left these days, just the one. Only Sang remains. The Longs used to be a bigger family, but one by one they were taken off the board. Consumption, opium, accidents, a sudden cough leading to a fever. All of them possibly accidental. Darker voices however whisper that perhaps Sang had something to do with those deaths. That he spent years positioning himself to become next in line. There is however no one left alive who knows how it all went down and Sang Long is such a friendly man. Darker voices should keep silent, lest they too disappear.
