It was in the dead of night when Andrew along with an injured scouter witnessed the raiders arriving at their camp. By then, the young man was too far away to warn the others about the raid as he was carrying a barely conscious teenager on his back. Andrew was just searching for the rare medicinal herbs on the outskirts of the camp walls when he saw one of the new Scouters calling out for help. Luckily, he was able to find them in time, though he didn't get much explanation as to why he was alone considering that Scouters usually go out in pairs at least. But when he saw the group of motorbikes riding across the sand from the lower paths, he knew something was wrong.

He tried to shoot a flare up into the sky to warn them but when he was about to, he got kicked in the face and the flare hit the sand, failing to launch. He couldn't remember much of what happened before he blacked out. When he came to, all he could find was his backpack with its contents still intact. Though, the injured scouter that he was carrying was nowhere to be seen. Confused, Andrew got up from the sand and brushed away all the sand from his body and backpack before scanning his surroundings, noticing the deserted small camp that was supposed to be his home.

It looked as if a big sandstorm had taken place and caked the whole thing in sand and dust. Judging by the sunlight peeking from the horizon, He was out cold for more than a few hours. But it felt like he was just knocked out for an hour at max due to how hydrated he still felt. Even his hair felt slightly damp from water perhaps but he could tell that it hadn't been raining with how dry the ground looked when he reached the wooden walls.

With a small hesitation in his breath, he pushed the wooden gate which was unlocked. As it swung open, his eyes quickly took in the miserable state of the camp. A few hours ago, he would see people scattering around doing their tasks or just chatting with others. Though that was no longer the case as he was faced with piles of sand as pale hands and legs peeked out of them. He knew who they belonged to and just solemnly nodded to himself while he slowly remembered the screams and gunfires that he heard from miles away.

"Hello? Can anyone hear me?" He shouted throughout the campgrounds while staring at the empty open tents, hoping to find some signs of life.
