Legends, stories scattered through time. Mankind has grown quite fond of recounting the exploits of heroes and villain alike, sometimes forgetting the role of each character. But hopefully you can realize the role you play in this story and venture forth to how you see fit. Now go...and find that role!

________________________________________________________________________________

Mankind, born of dust, was strong, wise and resourceful. But it was born in an unforgiving world. An inevitable darkness, Creatures of destruction, the creatures of Grimm had set their sights on mankind and all of its creations.

These forces clashed and it seemed the darkness was intent on returning mankind's brief existence to the void. However, even the smallest spark of hope is enough to ignite change. And in time, mankind's passion, resourcefulness, and ingenuity led them to the tools that would help them even the odds.

This power was appropriately named, "Dust".

Nature's wrath in hand, mankind lit their way through the darkness and in the shadow's absence, came strength, civilization, and most importantly, life.

But even the most brilliant lights eventually flicker and die. And when they are gone...Darkness will return.

________________________________________________________________________________

This is Beacon Academy of Vale. Here, those who still wish to guard and protect Humanity train and prepare to live the life of a Hunter. Huntsman and Huntresses are the protectors of Light, those who keep the darkness in its boundaries. From here, great warriors will birth into the world, and others will be announced. From here, the future of Humanity will be forged. From here, the beginnings of a new world are formed.

So, let those who will form it unravel, in this tale of Unsung Heroes.

The stories that are beginning here all start at least similarly, by arriving on a airship to Beacon. From there is where everyone’s stories diverge. Some gather with friends of the past, others went off on their own, and some are already having some confrontation with their fellow students…some rather explosive at that. From there students met up with in the Amphitheater for Ozpin’s distant speech to the new students. After that they were told they be staying in the Ballroom for the night, and they shone to the Rocket Lockers of where they were going to store their weapons and other armor.

The next day, all the new students were called to get their equipment and prepare for initiation. And that will be the start of our story, the top of Beacon Cliff for the start of the initiation.

Who: Blac, Ozpin, Goodwitch
When: Morning
Where: Beacon Cliff -> Emerald Forest
With: No one

It was late morning when the new students of Beacon were being called out to Beacon Cliff for initiation. Once there they were instructed to stand on some platforms by the cliff side as they were greeted by Ozpin and Goodwitch. One of the students was a boy named Blac. He was a tall slim boy that wore a lot of black with a collapsed rifle on his back. As everyone was placed, he stood where he was suppose to and crossed his arms. He looked out to the forest below as he waited. “Yep, same sight as the last time I was here.” He said to himself. Goodwitch looked at him with a glare but Ozpin didn't react to the comment. Blac just shrugged them off.

Ozpin then started his speech to the students once all have arrived. “For years you have trained to become warriors. And today, your abilities will be evaluated here in the Emerald Forest.” He said as he looked upon the students as he held his coffee cup. Then Goodwitch started to talk after him about the rumors about assignment of teams. “Now, I’m sure many of you have heard rumor about assignment of teams. Well, allow me to put an end to your confusion.” He paused for a brief moment. “Each of you will be given teammates…Today.” She told everyone, but by the time Miss Goodwitch started talking, Blac had already tuned out. “These teammates will be with you the rest of your time here at Beacon.” Ozpin continued on explaining. “So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well.” Blac just yawned at this as a girl with a red hood made scared noises. “That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next 4 years.” Ozpin continued, which seemed to break red hoods world a bit, as another girl seemed to clarify with someone that she knew this and was right. Blac noticed that Ozpin seemed to enjoy this part of his job it seemed, as he didn’t seem to distant as the day before. “After you’ve partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path or you will die.” Ozpin warned them.

Sigh, when will they stop talking and let us get to the fighting…? They’re speaking after one another just like an old couple too.’ Blac thought as he looked up at the sky with an tired expression. ‘Aww~! So tired...How did I get myself into this again? Ah, that’s right I was sent here to do a job…’ Blac thought as he remembered the day before yesterday. He was given a job to lessen the amount of Grimm here In the Emerald Forest. Some info broker from Mistral caught wind of how the initiation in Beacon was going to go down and a parent got worried about their child taking it and scouted out a mercenary. Blac was found and hired for the job then off to Vale he went. Once there he hunted and killed till he was out of both dust and ammunition; figuring it was good enough and he was running low on both. But as he was leaving the forest, Ozpin and Goodwitch stopped him, Goodwich being the unhappy of the two. Defenseless Blac surrendered to them without a fight, but received no punishment…only an acceptance into Beacon by Ozpin. Blac and Goodwitch were both surprised by this as he was then just left alone to his own devices afterwards.

The day after that, Blac boarded the airship going to Beacon; he even convinced himself that he was only going to first hand information about the academy. ‘What better chance is he going to get inside one the academies and steal secrets?’ were the words he convinced himself. After he arrived at Beacon, he came across a few interesting characters. First one was Vomit Boy Jaune that he met on the ship…That will be left at that…He then came across a girl with a red hood which he nicknamed Red as he was too busy looking at the blonde bombshell that was with her to acquire Red’s actual name; though he didn’t catch the blonde’s name either as he became stuck with tending to vomit boy. Once at the academy, Blac and Jaune finally started to head to the amphitheater, there was where the opening speech to the new students was going to be held. On the way they were then stopped when an explosion happened along the main street to the school. Blac looked to see it was Red and Weiss Schnee, which caught him by surprise. It was a dust accident and the heiress was going off on poor Red, but he tried to ignore it and leave, but his attention was then caught as a girl with a black bow in their hair went up to the other two girls. She looked like someone he knew but soon realized he was mistaken. When the three girls parted, Blac looked at Jaune, who looked at the scene that played out before them dumbfounded for some reason, and pushed him to Red. He figured it get the guy off his back and from bothering him.

Blac then went to the amphitheater alone leaving Red and Jaune behind, and waited for the opening speech. Once the speech was started, Blac could tell something was up with Ozpin who was giving the speech, but his attention was taken by another red head…surprise. It was Pyrrha Nikos, the four time consecutive winner of Mistral Regional Tournament. He wondered why an heiress of a dust company like Weiss Schnee  and a regional champ from other kingdoms were here. After the speech and being told they be spending the night in the ballroom, the new students were then taken to the Rocket Lockers to store their weapons and armor only to get a lecture on what they were used for and how. Blac didn’t have a scroll at the time, but was told the school would provide one for those that didn’t.

During the lecture, Blac noticed Jaune getting pushed in one the lockers and launched by a bigger guy. Blac reluctantly helped the fool out of the locker afterwards when they were giving free rein of the school. Blac scouted the school at this time to get a layout. He ran into a couple of professors, a round one and a skinny one…The skinny one insisted on being called a doctor though. Blac had to cut his scouting short to get away of the round one and his war stories. He was going to just sneak around and snatch up all he could get his hands on before leaving, but decided to play the part of a student for now, since they were providing him with free abundance of ammunition and dust for the time being.

Now back to the current day, as Blac’s attention was pulled from his thoughts as he heard Jaune laugh nervously. He smirked thinking it be fun to watch him struggle at least. “You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation.” Ozpin continued. “But our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics. Each pair must choose 1, and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately.” Ozpin explained to the student. Blac just yawned again at this as he just wanted to nap; he wasn’t usually up this early.

Are there any questions?” Ozpin asked, Jaune answered but was completely ignored which caused Blac to smirk with a light chuckle. “Good! Now, take your positions.” Ozpin said and Blac just stretched to wake up as he waited for launch. As Jaune tried to ask about landing, one by one students were being launched into the forest. Blac leaned back to look past Jaune, who was beside him, and smirked as he was able to see the bombshell from the other day. Seeing her was able to fully wake him up now. When she launched, Blac just smirked he kept his eyes on her as she went flying through the air with the other students. When it came Jaune’s turn, Blac just looked at him with an evil smile and waved as the poor soul was tossed through the air screaming. Blac, without hesitation, quickly got into his pose right before he was launched away like the others. Ozpin just turned around and watched the student fly off and sipped from his cup with an interested smile.

Blac was flying pretty far and fast over the tree tops. As he was flying head first through the air, he crossed his arms as he thought about how he was going to land. “Hm? How should I do this?” He wondered as he was getting closer to the trees every second. “I could use my knives and wires…but I did that a few days ago…and I ended up using more dust than I should have…” He thought out loud. He then closed his eyes as he put a hand on his chin to think. As he did this he was getting close to hit a branch of one the trees. He then smirked and opened his eyes. They were pitch black with cracks coming from them; one crack on his left eye ran all the way from the bottom of his eye down his face and neck. Before hitting the branch he pulled out his rifle and swiftly twirled it to un-collapse it only to then flip in the air to where his feet were towards the ground now. He pointed His rifle at the branch he was coming upon and fired, breaking the branch off so he could zoom right pass without getting hit. This also slowed him down a bit due to the recoil. He did then seven more times till he was below the branches, and to direct himself from hitting the trees themselves till he was about to land about to land. When he finally did he rolled across the ground to lessen the impact. The moment he came to a stop, he immediately got into a crouching sniper position, pointing his rifle in the direction he came from as if he was going to fire.

Blac looked through the scope as he was using his semblance to find the location of the other students that landed behind him. He could make out a few, thus he lowered his rifle. “So…Who should I scout out to partner up with?” He said out loud as he looked around with semblance.

Lily stood among the rest of the teens, lining along the precipice of the mountain side on orientation day. She was a very pale-skinned girl, almost paper white, with very hippie-like attire. She brushed her hair back with her long matte green nails as she proceeded to braid it back in a neat fishtail braid. Lily stood out among the rest, with her bright pink hair and colorful loose blouse. Her pink mirrored spectacles didn't help any either. But she liked them, and she was practically blind without them.
Well, allow me to put an end to your confusion.” She paused for a brief moment. “Each of you will be given teammates…Today.” She told everyone. Lily was listening intently, her blue eyes scanning over her bug-eye glasses. “These teammates will be with you the rest of your time here at Beacon.” Ozpin continued on explaining. “So it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well.” Lily thought this was interesting. “That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next 4 years.” Ozpin continued, and Lily noticed the distraught among some students. She also noticed that Ozpin seemed to enjoy this part of his job it seemed, as he didn’t seem to distant as the day before. “After you’ve partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way. Do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path or you will die.” Ozpin warned them.
Lily fingered at the handle of her war hammer, as it clung to her side. The handle itself was collapsible, which was very nice, and it cut the length of the hammer by nearly half, so it was much more manageable than a staggering seven feet. Lily absent-mindedly twisted the pink ribbon around her fingers, that in which was tied right below the head of the hammer, curling it around her thin hand.
Lily had come across quite a few people the day before, and had received quite a few stares when she had pulled out her gold vaping e-cigarette. She simply shrugged, and even asked a staring individual who had watched for a little too long if he wanted a hit himself. This was returned with a blushing, embarrassed face as the boy soon walked away frantically, and Lily continued on with her business. She had seen many interesting weapons, and some were very intriguing. The partner-for-4-years catch didn't really sound too bad at this point to the young hippie.

Lily looked up from her hammer once Ozpin began speaking once more. Lily listened intently.
“Are there any questions?” Ozpin asked, and someone in yellow answered, but was blatantly ignored. Lily furrowed an eyebrow. “Good! Now, take your positions.” Ozpin said and Lily looked around at everyone, as some people were snapped back into reality. She looked down at her equipment and took a breath inwards and took her own position as other Hunters and Huntresses began to launch. Soon enough, Lily herself was in the air, which had caused her to yell out in excitement.
Adrenaline was coursing through her veins like a gentle high, but Lily knew what was coming next, and she had to plan her landing. She watched the trees below her, flying past, and pulled out her hammer, Tybrys, and it flipped out the rest of its length. Lily smiled and did a small front flip in the air with a cloud of giggles, as she soon thrusted her hammer forward like a pole vaulter, and caught a thick branch with the top section of her hammer. She soon began to swing down, catching branches with her hands and her hammer alike, only to soon reach the ground. Lily's ankles buckled slightly under her on impact, but she used her hammer as a stabilizer.

"Alrightie!" She said with a smile as she pushed up her glasses. She looked around and slid her free hand in her back pocket and grasped a small glass pipe between her fingers. She pulled it out and stuck it in one of her front pockets for future use. Lily soon looked around before she began walking. She wore bright enough clothing, so finding a partner shouldn't be too hard.

Who: Aster

When: Morning

Where: Beacon Cliff ---> Emerald Forest

With: No One

With a little smirk Aster stared out over the horizon, her eyes tracing over the large forest ahead. Not listen a word anyone said she smirked, knowing what was to come, knowing she had to fly. She tapped her hand over her haulster a few times before sighing rolling her eyes at the long speech. Hurry up already, she thought to herself watching the headmaster ramble his eyes meeting her for a moment then looking away. Talks more than any of my professors ever did, Her thoughts had changed and made her titter a bit. That's when Aster caught a glare from professor Goodwitch, thinking she'd been caught zoning out but after a moment realized her eyes were on someone. Rolling her eyes she stepped back a hand on her hips, she caught something about eye contact and team mates but nothing more, that was still she was told to take position which Instantly put Betty and Marry in her hands and eyes on the horizon.

Nothing really could have prepared her for the journey ahead, the wild adventures that were going to ensue, the turmoil to come. She was also unprepared for her team, 3 people she would absolutely hate yet love so much she would kill anyone that touched them.

Anxiety boiled under Aster's skin making her fidget in place a bit, but she kept the cool exterior she needed. Her eyes traced over the edge of the cliff once more as she stood ready for the launch. Betty and Marry were now tight in her hands the voltage turned down, her fingers tracing over the sides of the triggers. Aster glanced down the line watching the others fly into the air before taking a slow calm breath. A smirk replaced her worried expression and her eyes filling with fire. The blaze only grew as her eyes went down and tracing over the sides of her guns that were tightly gripped in her palms. "Don't worry mom, dad..." she mumbled calmly, thinking for a moment then biting back the saddening memory. "This'll be fun." Aster's expression turned quickly, from determined to wild, "let's do this!" She giggled as she was suddenly launched into the air.

A smirk curled her lips as her fingers curling around her handguns thumbs pressing to the triggers, nothing would ever feel better than this, flying. She watched as the trees flew quickly below her, each branch nearly impossible to make out from the speed. Watching the branches grow closer she didn't hesitate to dodge out of the way of the taller trees with ease but they were starting to get a bit big to dodge.

"Oh no!" Aster squeaked as she nearly hit a tall tree, with a flash of magenta she appeared only a few feet over, her decent slowly for only a moment before picking back up again. She looked down at a branch and smiled wildly with another flash appearing on the branch and another placing her on the ground with each teleportation counting 1,2,3. Aster quickly whirled around wide eyes. "okay...Now what..." she muttered to herself, having not payed attention, "wait! Oh, yeah.... partner time...

Who: A sleepy faunus, a chatty professor, and an uptight witch.

When: Too damn early

Where: Not in his bed

With: People

Well his entrance into Beacon was certainly one to be somewhat memorable, Samson having just barely gotten off the airship as it was getting ready to take off again, the faunus having been quite bewitched by a particularly warm and sunny seat where he'd slumbered for the entirety of the airship ride. Thankfully one of the ship crewmen woke him up, Samson frantically getting up and grabbing his stuff before tearing away from the landing pad toward the amphitheatre. Arriving at the destination in question, after a few questions for directions, the faunus' adrenaline wore off and he was left in a rather groggy and sleepy state. The rest of the day went by in a bit of a groggy blur, something about wasted energy, then being dismissed for the rest of the day. The day's evening was somewhat interesting as the first years were gathered in the academy's ballroom for the night, Samson not minding the extra feminine company, but not exactly wanting to earn the ire of that goodwitch lady and find out what that riding crop was used for. A prompt and heavy slumber brought the next day, and a day that was something he sought the challenge of with great relish.

A long stretch drew forth a groan from Samson as he came to stand upon a cliff overlooking a massive expanse of trees called the emerald forest. Other students arrived as well, a few somewhat familiar from the day before, and others new. Yet another announcement from the charismatic Ozpin and relaxing Goodwitch detailing the group's mission. While he wasn't too keen on listening, the faunus did catch the gist of what the two were stating before calling for preparation to begin. The aspect of death causing his eyes to narrow into mild slits with exhilaration, his heart give a rush of excitement. Giving a few sharp, satisfying cracks from his neck, Samson took his place upon the square metallic platform beneath him. Drawing Adamastos from its holster on his back, the weapon in its collapsed form, the faunus bounced a bit on the balls of his feet to get the blood flowing, his tail swaying in an eager fashion as he eyed the treeline. Glancing at the group of students around him, Samson pondered exactly whom he was going to meet, eager to see just how potent of a person he'd come to call partner would be. A firm 'CLUNK' sounded, one of the students flying forth into the air toward the forest drew a chuckle from Samson as one by one the other students before him were thrown into the air. Before long it was his turn, the faunus crouching down before kicking off from the platform as it sent him soaring into the air. "Woooohohohooo bring it the hell on baby!" Samson gave a jubilant holler as he took flight, savoring the rush of the air around him as his form sped over the green foliage below. It wasn't long till that foliage began to grow closer, Samson swiftly extending Adamastos to its primary form, its teeth spinning as it revved vigorously. Quickly swinging the massive chainsaw blade , the faunus cleaved through a slew of branches that otherwise would have served as a rather nasty stopping point, each strike slowing his momentum till he grabbed a smaller branch, using it to outright halt his momentum as it bent downward. Letting go of his grip, Samson fell the few feet remaining down to the ground with a soft thud. Retracting the teeth of his blade, Samson rested the blade on his shoulder as he glanced around, senses strained in search for any threat before casting his eyes upward. "Alright...so let's get this party started." Samson remarked, laughing softly to himself as he began to head in the direction he'd been launched toward at a brisk pace.

Who: Blac
When: Morning
Where: Emerald Forest
With: No one

As Blac looked through his rifle’s scope with his semblance, his range of sight was greatly increased as his radius stayed the same. He watched carefully as other students started to land as well. Some the fist to start to land were those that seemed of a lighter weight, surprisingly enough, such as a guy in green and Red who both had interesting landing strategies. ‘Hm, using your gun daggers to spiral down a tree, and firing rounds to slow yourself down…you’re copying me there red…’ Black thought as he watched her use her scythe blade to spin around a branch and off to the ground. He then watched as the Heiress use her families semblance to hop off of and land as the two that really caught his eye, Pyrrha and the blonde bombshell, bust their way to landing; both in very different ways. The bombshell used her shot gun gauntlets to the trees as Pyrrha just busted through them with her shield only to land on a branch and looked around. This confused Blac till he noticed her aim at Jaune, who was still falling through the air helplessly and throw her javelin. “Oh, so she’s into that type of guy huh?” He said out loud then held in a laugh as he watched Jaune get pinned to a rock. “Oh this is going to be interesting.” He said as he then looked for other students.

Blac looked around a bit find some students still in the middle of their landing. One of which was a rather big faunus That drew his giant chainsaw blade cutting through the branches with ease. “Yeesh…Now that’s a guy to not mess with…" 'then again, as they say the bigger they are and all that.' He thought with a smirk Then moved on with his scouting. He then came across a female student with pink hair and glasses. He watched as she used his hammer in a similar way to Red’s scythe and swung down the tree. ‘Well, look at the hips on that one.’ Blac thought to himself for a moment then noticed something; one student disappeared from his sight for a moment.  He looked and saw it was a young looking girl with blonde hair that was in pigtails. “Wait…she’s in the academy? She looks like she should still be in combat school…Well Red does too…” He thought out loud as he watched her. ‘What now Ozpin? Barely legal girls don’t excite you no more so you go for…’ He was pulled from his thoughts as the girl disappeared again only to reappear a moment later. Blac was a little surprised by this and kept watching as she did it again and again till she was on the ground. “So she can warp huh…? Interesting. Still bad Ozpin...” He said as he pulled away from his scope and started to wipe his eyes.

He then stood up still wiping his eyes as he lowered his rifle in his other hand. He then stopped rubbing his eyes and the blackness faded as he blinked and the cracks disappeared. “Sigh, might as well check to see how my Aura is doing…” Blac said to himself and reached into his pocket to pull out his scroll and opened it up. In it, it showed his picture with a bar beside it. The bar ranged from red to yellow to green normally, but his was red to yellow. 'Tch…figures I’m already that low…' He thought with an unpleased look as he closed the scroll and put it away in his back pocket which he pulled out another magazine out for his rifle as he withdrew his hand. He ejected the empty magazine that was in Lady and replaced it with the other one he pulled out of his pocket. He then rested Lady on his shoulder and started walking towards the Temple. “Well then let’s see who we run into.” He said as he idly walked through the forest, as he had no worries what he run into of getting lost, as he’s already been through this forest already.

Lily gently pulled out her glass weed pipe again from her pocket, the small translucent piece sitting between her pointer and middle finger as she walked around the forest. She examined the glass piece, searching for any chipping or scratching to the delicate glass on her way down. "Oh thank goodness..." She sighed in relief, as the piece was very expensive, and she did not need it to be damaged already before she can even get a real decent hit off of it. Lily stopped for a second, however, lowering her weed pipe when she heard footsteps in the brush. She looked up immediately, and stepped forward, slipping her pipe in her pocket once more.

Lily lifted her hammer with her other hand and continued on in said direction. She heard a male's voice, and he had commented on who he was going to find as his partner. Lily shrugged, and simply decided that he should be hers, considering that she found someone, and that was the rules that they were given. "Hmm, I have one for you, dark boy." So, the hippie girl pulled out a pen from another one of her pockets, rather than her weed pipe, and switched it on with the blunt end of her nail. Lily's gold vape pen currently had an delicious vanilla scent pack inside of it, one that could easily attract the attention of someone nearby. It was an incredibly alluring scent, and Lily smiled as she drew the end of the pen up to her mouth and enveloped her thick lips around the metallic end. She sucked and soon blew out a delicious aroma of a visibly thick white cloud into the air.

Aster stood alone eyeing her surroundings, tall dark trees surrounded her. Once she knew she was alone she stuck Betty and Marry back in her holsters petting the sides as she walked. The sleek feeling of the trigger and lever calmed her a bit even as the anxiety started to fester within her, but with a slow deep breath she relaxed a bit. Her eyes darted around the environment as her breath started to shake, she was alone... She was, alone....

"It's okay Aster, you got this... you're a Zise..." she mumbled softly as she walked quickly with her eyes on the ground. "You're okay." She mumbled softly trying to reassure herself. "Hello?"  she called out as a soft crackling sound filled the area, "I-Is someone there?" she asked teleporting ahead a few yards and looking around, "4..." she mumbled as she continued walking. Quickly she pulled out her scroll and looked at her aura, "Yep, I still have a few more ports in me." Aster muttered to herself as she kept walking. "I've gotta find someone fast," she said softly quickening her speed and teleporting forwards again nearly hitting something because of the panic that was starting to settle in, and that something, well it was a 9 foot tall Beowulf that did NOT seem to be happy to see like ol' Aster. "Fiv-Shhhhhhh-!" She was cut off by the loud roar of the grumpy beowulf.

Instantly Betty and Marry were in her hands as she eyes the beast, "Well.... At least I'm not alone anymore!"

Who: A less sleepy faunus

When: Some time between breakfast and lunch

Where: Whole lotta trees

With: Me, myself, and I

Heart pounding, lungs heaving, eyes peeled, Samson tore through the flora of the forest around him with his mind set on one dire need. He could see it, so close, a distant figure darting through the trees. "RrrrRRRRGH, swear, not getting away from me this time!" Samson growled as his feet pounded upon the ground beneath him, gritting his teeth as his quarry darts through a nearby thicket of bushes. Bursting through the large collection of bushes, Samson's eyes lock onto his quarry. Crouched down beside the bank of a small brook quenching its thirst....there was his target...his nemesis....the sole creator of so much agony for him in such a vulnerable state. Holstering Adamastos upon his back, Samson crouched down himself, slowly prowling his way toward the sole target of all his anger and rage, eyes narrow slits as he worked his way behind a thin line of shrubbery. So close now, Samson could see his prize, that which had been stolen from him and ultimately the target of the faunus' heated pursuit, clutched firmly in the grubby claws of the beast before him. Samson's heartbeat thrummed in his ears, a cacophonous drum quaking through him as sweat beaded along his forehead and trickled down his face, his tail rigid save for the gentlest sway along the tip. Suddenly the sharp snap of a twig cracked through the air from beneath his foot, a soft gasp, eyes widening as the creature turned its head to him while the world slowed. Making a desperate dive from his crouched vantage point, Samson's arms outstretched, the faunus watched as his nemesis agilely dodged his grasp before darting off. An almost feral growl left the faunus' gritted teeth, eyes glinting with bestial fury as his left hand drew Adamastos from its holster. Charging forth, body driven by a juggernaut-like fervor, Samson's mind focused on the single driven desire to crush the foe that seemingly mocked him with its ease of eluding his grasp.

Watching the beast hop through another hedge gathering, the razor edged teeth of Adamastos extended as the roar of its engine filled the air. Leaping through the clearing, the faunus bellowed with rage as the teeth of his blade suddenly ignited with searing flame. "RAAAAAAH-I WILL ERASE YOU FROM EXISTENCE!" Rage couldn't have saturated spoken words as much as those spat from Samson's lips as he came through the clearing airborne, sword already swinging downward in blind fury. His foe nowhere to be found, another creature was conveniently in his way, Samson's senseless rage directing his titanic anger toward the towering beowulf which seemed to be occupied with someone else until the faunus burst into the air. Engine roaring, flaming teeth spinning, the quaking strike of Adamastos cleaved clear through the beowulf just as it turned to look in the direction of such a raucous entrance; the blade continuing a good foot further into the earth before its engine cut out and its flames extinguished. The dark creature stood in seeming stasis, eyes eventually fading as its form steadily split in twain from the middle before dissipating in a black mist. Huffing as he slowly recollected himself from his hulk-like outburst, Samson shook his head as he looked up, finding himself looking at a rather short strawberry blond haired girl, and eventually finding his humanity again as he coughed slightly as his eyes dialated to a mor normal state. "Hah.....hah......uh.....hi there...name's Samson...phew....guess we're partners?" He suggested after a few more pants to catch his breath, putting on a slight grin and acting as if he'd not just burst through a clearing screaming like a madman.

Who: Blac
When: Morning
Where: Emerald Forest
With: Child Bearer/hip girl (@PlaguedWithInsanity)

As Black walked through the forest as casually as he would in the city, with the only exception is his rifle being out and resting on his shoulder. He had his other hand on his chin as he thought to himself. ‘Now who seems to be a good partner for me…? I’m next to useless in a close combat fight. So I need someone to fill that role.’ He thought as he imagined the student he saw earlier. “That green guy seems fast and agile…” ‘But paired with me I need someone who can take a hit and dish it back without moving around too much unpredictably…’ He finished his thought in his head as he continued to walk. It was like he was having a conversation with himself. “There’s Red…but I lost track of her when she landed…” ‘A fast one, huh?’ Blac continued this back and forth with himself for awhile “There’s Pyrrha and the heiress…” ‘But would't both be a dual edge blade to me…’ He thought with a sigh as he imagined how they react after finding out his past; especially seeing how The heiress acted to a simple dust accident the day before. “Then again Pyrrha seems focused on Jaune.” He said out loud. “Blondie blasted too far off to get to her easily before anyone else.” He said with a disappointed sigh as he slouched a bit at the thought of missing out on a team with her. 'Oh well, let’s see who else is left.' He He thought then straightened up.

Who else is there…? There’s the girl that can warp…” He started then moved to thought like before. ‘But like the Green guy I need someone who can move around predictably…and warping is as unpredictable as they come.’ He thought. “That faunus with the big ass saw sword may actually be the best to party up with…” He thought out loud as he closed his eyes as he walked. ‘I feel like I’m missing someone though…?’ He thought then stopped in his tracks as he caught the scent of a Vape pen. He sighed and waved his hand in front of his face to clear the smell from his nose as he then noticed the smoke now. hearing the voice of a woman not too far from him. ‘Dark boy…?’ He thought then glanced over at her seeing hip girl with her hammer of a pole arm out. “Speaking of big asses.” He said with a smirk as he turned to face her and placed his free hand on his hip. “If it isn’t Child bearer.” He said commenting on her hips. “I guess we’ll be partners then, huh?” He said as he looked her over. “Well I could have done worst.” He said out loud with a shrug and a smirk.

Blac's smirking expression then twisted a bit as he had a crazed look in his eye as if he found prey. He then raised his gun off his shoulder and pointed it at her as if he was going to fire it at her. He had raised his other arm up from his hip to rest the gun on his forearm as his hand held one his throwing knife in it that he got from the arm wrap under his jacket sleeve, pointing the tip towards her as well. “I been wondering when one would show up. I’m actually surprised I encountered one so soon. Now don’t move…” He told her as he started to squeeze the trigger. At the last moment he jerked his gun up slightly and fired.

In the time Blac started to take aim, an Ursa had charged up behind hip girl after the smell from her vape and got on it's hind legs about to attack her. The bullet hit dead center of the beasts bone plated skull, not piercing it but was able to knock it’s head back and cause it to stagger back. “Usually, one shot between the eyes is enough for smaller grimm.” He said then threw the knife into the ursa’s exposed neck. He smirked and started to walk away like he was before as the knife seem to start glowing red hot. “You might want to step away from that.” He warned hip girl as he continued walking without waiting for her. Once she was away from the stunned Ursa the knife then exploded taking the ursa’s head clean off and throwing the still intact knife in the air. As it fell, Blac reached behind him to the spool of wire on the back of his pants and pressed something and the knife came flying towards him hilt first. He then grabbed the still hot knife with the leather covered part of his hand and rested it on the back of his glove letting it cool rapidly as his fingers on the hand the knife was on twitched slightly. Once the knife had cooled, he slipped it back under his arm wrap as he walked, revealing that his leather glove was pretty burnt with that stunt. "You coming?" He called out to his new partner.

Aster glared up at the large Beowulf before her taking a step back so she was no longer pressing to its, fur? And aimed her two guns at it pushing the AMP meter up. You could hear the coiling of the electricity coming from her gun, but she seemed totally fine. Teleporting back a few feet she mutter ‘6’ to herself and fired once of course the creature dodged her first shot, after all she did kinda give it enough time. She went to take another shot pressing the Milliamps up to over 10,000 and aimed teleporting back again this time whispering the next number in the sequence. About the shoot she jumped seeing a large screaming lion man leaping through the foliage and swinging a FLAMING chainsaw sword into the Beowulf’s shoulder. Startled by this she teleported back a few more yards and squeaking a loud ‘8’, stumbling just a bit and landing on her butt. She watched as the man finished swinging through the large beast and took a breath, the wild look still in his eyes. Before it faded and he spoke.

Aster, now flabbergasted at what she had just seen, stood up with wide eyes and mouth gaped open. “What the…” she mumbled before clearing her throat and eyeing him a bit as she walked forwards slowly unsure of how to deal with her new found companion. Her expression still screamed from her curious nature but she didn’t ask, she didn’t think she actually WANTED to know. “I guess we are partners?” She said scratching the back of her head,“Um, I’m Aster…” she said softly. “So um…” She said while discharging her guns and putting them back in her holster, “forest temple?” She asked giving him a quirky smile and shrugging. She didn't look like she belong at beacon even her guns looked like toys.

Soon enough, this teen came towards Lily, and she smiled. She lowered her gold vaping pen and leaned against the pole of her hammer. Although his comment was something that she did not expect.

"Speaking of big asses."

Even so, she shrugged. "You act like that's something I haven't heard before." She simply said before sucking on her vape pen. She blew out another deliciously smelling vanilla cloud. "I'll ignore that comment about the children, but yeah, we're partners. And I actually consider myself to be a decent Huntress myself." Lily said, lowering the pen, but immediately paused when her new 'partner' raised his gun pointedly at her. She simply raised a brow, but when he began to pull the trigger, she tightened up her muscles and braced herself for impact. He looked at her with a crazed expression, and her baby blue eyes widened. When the bang went off, her eyes instinctively closed by her flinching, but she opened them immediately after when she felt no pain, but yowling behind her. Lily swung around on her booted heels, surprised to see an Ursa directly behind her.

The bullet struck it right in the middle of its skull, causing it to stagger back. The dark boy then commented on how one shot between the eyes was usually enough for smaller Grimm, and Lily nodded. She then began to pick up her hammer, but, before she could do so, the teen thrusted his knife forward like a throwing blade and it stuck right into the Ursa's exposed skull. He then warned Lily to step away from the knife, and she did as asked, although skeptically. The knife began to glow red hot. The bear's head then exploded. "Alright then." She simply said as she moved one of her pink braids aside with her free hand. She then began walking away from the scene with him as well, as the knife suddenly flew in the boy's direction, as he was walking away. Lily was about to warn him before she saw the thin string attached to the hilt, as the sun shone across its hairline surface.

That was his weapon, along with the Dust rifle.

Lily flattened her thick lips into a thin line and furrowed a brow before she began walking with him as well. She sped up her pace to reach him, as he put his knife away after catching it with his leather gloves. "Yeah, so... My name's Lily. I have a cool hammer, that doubles as a flamethrower." She said with a smile as she raised it and motioned towards it with her hand with a smile. She soon put her vape pen away, realizing its danger in their situation.

Noting the rather shocked, and understandably so, expression of his new partner, Samson simply gave a winded chuckle as he focused on wrenching Adamastos up from the earth it'd been embedded within up to a few good inches. "Forest temple...sounds-" A pause in the faunus' words came a he gave a heavy upward tug with his arms, his weapon wrenching free from the earth with a few clumps of dirt falling from its teeth and body. "There we go, yeah that sounds good." he quipped, the teeth of his blade retracting within its body before collapsing further to its tertiary form, finally slipping into its holster upon his back. "Hey-uh, Aster, you wouldn't have happened to see a small creature run through here would you?" He asked, his mind darting back to the nemesis that had thrown him into such a blind rage. "Been chasing after this horrible beast ever since I landed in this forest, almost had 'em until that...well that dynamic entrance of mine." Samson spoke as he moved a hand up to soft scratch at his forehead, an irritated growl leaving him as he walked along with his newly found partner. Even as he seemed to relax for the most part, Samson's eyes remained poised as they scanned the surroundings he and Aster walked through, tail swaying idly as he even took a few whiffs of the air to try and catch anything out of the ordinary. "Swear by the stars above I'll catch you you little wretch." The faunus murmured to himself as the duo approached a sizable river, a soft gulp leaving Samson, his tail seeming to tense as the hair on it stiffened. "Great, river...spectacular." Samson remarked, glancing around for any way the large rushing body of water could be circumvented while minimizing the chance of getting into said body of water.

Walking through the forest, Blac snickered to himself as he thought about the face his new partner made. ‘Man that was priceless. It’s always fun to see fear in their eyes when a gun's pointed at them at point blank range.’ He thought with a smirk as he walked. He then looked at his new partner as she caught up with him. “Lily huh…and I knew about the hammer as I saw you swinging down a tree like a monkey, or rather in your case a wrecking ball.” He said commenting on her hips again. “But the Flamethrower is something I didn’t expect.” He continued before introducing himself. “Name’s Blac, and you’re lucky you didn’t draw more Ursas to you with that thing.” He said as he pointed to her pocket as Ursa’s seem to like the scent of sweet things more than they liked killing humans, or at least just about.

So a polearm hammer and a flamethrower, a good enough close to mid range attacker if I ever saw one. She’ll be a good wall for the time being.’ He thought as he looked up at the sky as they walked. Something then caught his eye; it was a giant black feather in one the trees above. ‘Well that’s not good…’ He thought then glanced at Lily. “We better get to that temple and out of here soon…” He said to her as he refilled the chamber of his gun. Blac knew that feather belonged to a Nevermore. Luckily the territory that they hold is rather massive so it may be sometime before it notices students or get here at least. He knew that just a few student hunters in training wouldn’t be able to take that thing down easily, especially not him and lily alone. "Let's hurry." He said as he took his gun in both hands and started to run in the direction of the temple.

With a cool sigh she looked down, "What? It's just a river," She said looking it over, the cold rushing waver soothing her a bit. She stared at him for a moment more, "Okay kitty boy, why don't you just tear through a tree and walk over it like that?" She asked after noticing the hesitation and pure anxiety that was starting to build in her companion. "Or I could make one of the trees go boom." Leering slightly she leaned forwards pulling out one of her exploding throwing stars in one hand and a grenade in the other, "But that may or may not set the forest on fire...." She said with a nervous laugh looking away and putting her star away, but throwing the grenade up in the air before catching it. The strange near plastic looking item looked almost toylike in the girl's hand, not like any other frag most people would typically see anyways.

Samson's tail swayed behind him, its fur somewhat on end, rendering it a bit fluffy looking as he looked out over the large river with a wary expression. "Yeah and a grimm's just a grimm but ya don't see me hugging one now do you?" He retorted, looking around at their surroundings, steadily tracing his gaze up toward the large canopy of trees above. "Well instead of starting a massive forest fire and be responsible for massive destruction of nature before being promptly expelled, I'm thinking of another route that's likely to be a bit quicker than trying to find a narrow point." Samson added, walking up to a nearby tree before crouching down, jumping upward and starting to climb the bark clad plant's branches toward the top. "These branches likely can support us, and they're high enough we can jump across with enough momentum onto a few lower branches on the other side of the river." Samson spoke down to Aster as he climbed, showing decent agility for one his size. The sheer size of the trees within the emerald forest is something to behold, Samson deciding to climb a bit further to see if he can get a good vantage point. "Gonna climb a bit higher and get a bird's eye view to get our bearings." The faunus calls down from his ever growing height from the ground, eventually coming to stand on a sturdy branch which provided a rather decent view of the forest below. "Whoa....here's a sight that you can't buy." he murmured to himself, eyes widening at the picturesque scene around him. Squinting, Samson spies what roughly looks to be the bare glimpses of some ruin-esque shapes peaking through a clearing off in the distance. "Well it's not the shortest trek, but good pace should get us there in no time." He said softly, once again descending down the branches of the tree he climbed, coming to sit on a limb a few meters from the ground. "Hey Aster, it doesn't seem too far off. After we cross this river we should be able to reach the ruins in a matter of minutes. Do you need any help?" Samson asked simply enough, not wanting to assume the girl's short stature as a limitation to her ability to climb heights.

Aster just stared at him for a moment before sighing and vanishing from her spot accost the river, appearing only a few feet away from him on the ground, “8…. I don’t have to worry about getting wet.” she said quickly checking her Aura on her scroll real quick before putting it back away. “I have my ways.” She giggled reassuringly to him as she started to walk away, “come on Kitty.” She said while pulling out Betty and checking her chamber, “now that’s a sight I’m happy to see.” Her thumb traced over the side of the gun as she aimed it up in that air. “Honestly by now I would have thought we would have seen more grim.” Twirling her gun a bit she threw it back down in her holster and crossed her arms. “Oh well I guess, anyway, so Kitty. Now that we’re stuck together for the next for years… What’s up?” She leered a bit leaning forwards him slightly, “You're a faunus, as I can see, but what else it the kitty hiding?” The curious child leaned in a little more, “I’m sure there’s something.

Her partner smirked, and Lily furrowed a brow as to why. He then commented on her weapon after hearing her name, soon retorting on her hips once more, relating her to a swinging wrecking ball. Lily simply smiled and shrugged. "Yep. Shoots out big flames and everything." He then told her that her flamethrower was something that he did not expect. Could he not see the blasters in the back? Well, in his defense, they were the same color as the head of her hammer and the pole. The only part that stood out from the darker hues was the bright pink ribbon tied right under the head of the hammer, right where the pole starts. It made sense on why he did not notice. And they could have been anything else, such as wind boosters, for example. Or even just simply a cool decoration with no actual use.

He then introduced himself as Blac, like the color, and pointed at the pocket of her pants that in which she had just stored her vape pen, telling her that it was a surprise on how more Ursas did not appear. Maybe it was not that smart to smoke a vanilla pack in the Grimm-infested woods. "Yeah, not my smartest moment. Attracted your attention though." Lily said with a shrug and a slight smile, almost a look of achievement, as she pushed up her glasses. She should have been more panicked, but Ursas were not that big of a deal in her opinion, considering that her new partner just took one down in less than a minute.

Blac looked up at the sky while they walked, but then stopped and glanced at Lily, telling her that they aught to get to the temple soon, and finish their mission. Lily looked up and immediately saw what he saw: a large, black feather. He refilled his gun's chamber and informed her that they should also hurry, and made no haste to begin running. "You don't have to tell me twice, partner." she said as she folded her hammer's pole in half and began running with him. Nevermores were a big deal, and just the two of them could not possibly take one down.

Blac looked back at Lily when he heard her call him partner as he ran off. ‘Partner huh…?’ He thought as he looked back in front of him. ‘Better not get use to it…’ He thought with a frown as he continued to run.

After a while of running, the temple soon came into their line of sight…well Blac’s line of sight at least. His eyes then widened suddenly as he then stopped suddenly and put his back against a tree and peaked around it looking in the direction of the temple as he had his gun pointed to the sky as he was on stand-by. He held a hand up to Lily to tell her to stop without looking at her. What Blac could see was a pretty big pack of Beowolves around the temple destroying it. “I heard of grimm attacking man’s creations before…but really, to attack a small structure like that…?” He said as they were taking the temple down brick by brick with their slashing and smashing claws; there was even a larger alpha there as well.

Blac remembered what the temple looked like the day before as it was a mostly intact one room building, and now the grimm have destroyed majority of the temple leaving about half the wall and a few pillars standing. “Tch, that’s just what we need; the opportunity to draw attention to ourselves…” He said sarcastically then looked at Lily. What he meant was that they could draw the attention of the Nevermore if they head in and started attacking…at least he will with his loud ass gun fire.  He then looked back at the temple again. “I see the relics. They’re untouched. They seem to be chess pieces.” He told her as he thought for a moment.

There’s a pack of about 7-8 Beowolves there with an alpha to boot.” He told Lily as he looked down at the ground. “We need to get rid of them quickly and without causing too much commotion…” He continued as he put a hand to his chin and his voice got quieter. 'I could take them all out with my air bullets…' "but in this direction I could get the relic as well…if only I could get…” He started to mutter as he seemed to slowly forget Lily was even there with him.

Wait!” He said then looked up at her. “I think I have a plan.” He spoke up suddenly then crouched down and started to draw in the dirt. “This is the temple…” He said drawing a big circle and what looks like crude drawings of grimm around it. “…and these are the grimm…” He continued drawing two circles away from the others. “…And this is us. At the temple there’s one standing wall left.” He said thickening one side of the big circle. “I need you to draw the grimm’s attention away from that wall and out of the temple to a hill by the temple.” He said drawing a line from one the smaller circle to the bigger one and away from it with lines from the Grimm drawings following. “And I’ll sneak into the temple from there behind. From there when I tell you to move, you move, got it?” He told her as he had a serious look on his face.

Samson's words somewhat died in his throat as he spied the short blonde on the other side of the river before she...teleported? Sure enough, Aster now stood below him from the other side of the river, murmuring a number beneath her breath. 'Teleportation, that's a handy semblance.' The faunus thought to himself before he cocked an eyebrow at the moniker Aster just recently called him, a mildly irritated flip of his tail the only signs of annoyance, any further thoughts being suppressed as he focused on the duo's task at hand. "Glad to hear you're able to work independent should the need arise. Seeing you're rather interesting ability I'll leave you to get across the river." Samson quipped as he crouched on the branch he stood upon. "And I'm hoping we get a good fight sometime, I hate it when things get overly quiet." Samson stated, giving a mild sigh as that nickname was thrown his way again. 'Ignore it, more important matters to discuss.' the faunus thought to himself as the young blonde threw her questions his way. "Hold onto those thoughts for the time being, let's cross this before getting all chummy." Samson stated as he jumped up a few branches once again, grunting with mild effort as he rose a few meters higher before standing atop a pleasantly sturdy length of barked lumber. A brief crack of the neck and Samson quickly darted forth, launching himself off the branch high into the air, his body soaring forward toward the opposite bank. Good news: he was going to get to the other side; bad news: his landing wasn't likely to be soft. Coming down at an odd angle, Samson's attempted target of an opposite tree branch came a bit short, an outstretched hand gripping the limb which unfortunately snapped beneath his momentum and sent him tumbling to the earth. An expletive or two later and Samson arose, dusting himself off as he brushed leaves out of his hair. "That coulda gone a bit better I suppose..." Samson grumbled to himself as he checked to ensure all was in order before waiting for Aster to arrive at the opposite side of the river. With her company the faunus moved to head toward their shared goal. "Okay where were we? Ah right, well it all depends on what you're trying to gleam from me."  Samson retorted Aster's question, the faunus curious why she seemed to think he had something hidden. "You wanna know where I'm from and such or what my personal life is like or something?" he inquired further as the two of them delved deeper into the depths of the emerald forest.

Aster smirked and leaned forwards a little as she walked, "I don't know, just a feeling. I mean, everyone has something to hide," she grinned as she reached up getting on her tiptoes and grabbing a leaf that had been stuck in his hair. She inspected the leaf for a moment before snickering, "And yes, that does include me." Pulling out Betty, the gun from her right holster, she dusted off the top of the barrel and looked over at him. "Where you from?" was all she asked at first before leaning in closer, "Who are you beyond the Big Bad Kitty?" the inquiry didn't seem full hearted, more of a drum for more conversation. "If you want an easier question, why not tell me about your weapon Sammy?" She twirled Betty on her finger the AMPS going down on the side of her gun before she threw the nice black and silver hand made Glock 17 down in the holster. "I'm intrigued by your chainsaw sword thingy thing. It made a Grim go dead." she giggled a little smiling at him.

Samson's tail idly sways behind him as he and Aster walk through the emerald forest, twitching slightly as she plucks a wayward leaf from the faunus' hair. Compared to himself, Aster seemed like she was barely old enough to be a student at Signal academy let alone Beacon academy, and her weaponry seemed more akin to something out of a toy box than anything else. Then again he's never seen her in combat so one shouldn't jump to conclusions. "Well in a way I guess you're right, nothing at the moment I guess that comes to mind myself." he added as the two of them walked. "As for where I'm from, I was born and raised in a kingdom and capital of the same name: Vale; for who I am, guess you'll find that answer out in time; and as for my weapon here well his name is Adamastos." Samson answered Aster's questions with relative ease, the faunus retrieving Adamastos from its holster and holding it into the air, a laugh leaving him at Aster's description of it. "There's really not much to say about Adamastos, he's pretty much a reflection of myself: loud, brutal, effective, and reliable." He spoke while casually swinging the massive weapon in a single hand, making it appear to have little weight with the amount of ease he displayed before glancing over at Aster's own weapons. "What about you, care to share the goods on your little death dealers?" he gestured to Aster's pistols, curious as to exactly how effective they were and how they were used by their wielder. Samson was genuinely curious exactly what form of armament his new partner carried as, judging from her stature, she didn't appear to carry anything heavyweight like he did. From what little he'd seen, Samson guessed Aster used some form of hit and run unless her semblance held a different surprise to it. Meanwhile, the duo's trek didn't go unnoticed, an invisible pair of eyes watching Aster and Samson keenly from a distance. Even as Samson began to converse with his partner, the faunus' irritation from his prior engagement still weighed upon him from the back of his mind.

Smirking she pulled marry out and flipped a switch, "Who marry and betty here?" a leer spread across her face as she pushed a lever forwards, "They are AMP lock 17 Glocks, with voltage adjuster too." turning the volts all the way down to just a minor shock she aimed the handgun at her new partner and pulling the trigger, a small ball flying out and hitting Samson, giving me a shock no more than o.oo3 amps giving the kitty a slight shock, hurting no more than a little friction shock would hurt. "A fun irritation, or..." turning it all the way up she twirled the gun, "A deadly electrocution." putting Marry back in her carrier, she pulled out her throwing knives, yet again only looking like a toy in the small girls hands. " These throwing star, if locked into their box carrier with have a small pull of dust, and if they make contact with anything well.... let's just say, boom." she said while putting her star away, careful not to make it click into place. "And last but not least." she pulled out a grenade that was sheeted in black plastic, that didn't even look like a grenade, 'Baby," she refered to the small black remote like thing, "Stars make little boom, these make big boom." she said before putting the last of her toys away.

Watching as Aster drew forth her two firearms, Samson felt himself strain to call them such as the implements looked even more toy-like within the youth's hands. However, the light snap of electricity followed with a light prick helped to lessen his skepticism toward the young huntress-in-training's weaponry. Looking over the remainder of her equipment, Samson got the general idea of Aster's seemingly 'explosive' approach to combat; then again the faunus is one to speak considering his own equipment. "Well you seem like a rather explosive surprise for anyone or anything that might underestimate you." He remarked, pondering her ability to jump distances quickly combined with her explosive implements of destruction and exactly how poorly they would turn out for any whom Aster decided she didn't quite like. With the somewhat child-like nature Aster held, Samson was slightly worried at exactly how easy her ire was to earn and how it correlated with her using her tools. It wasn't till a few minutes into the duo's conversation that Samson's eyes caught some motion off to their right. "I can definitely see some useful adva-" Pausing in his stride, the faunus' words halting in his throat as he squinted at the oddity, eyes quickly widening as he glimpsed the horrible feral beast which had plagued him ever since he came to land within the emerald forest. "-and hold that thought I need to KILL SOMETHING THAT DESERVES IT!" Samson's words took a rather abrupt and sudden shift as he crouched down, the fur on his tail standing on end slightly, before taking off at a quick run, Adamastos's linked teeth extending and its engine revving.

His patience was spent, Samson was gonna take down this nemesis of his before he left this forest! With another bestial roar akin to his previous, an enraged cleave through the air severed the branch the creature was perched upon. A blurred shadow of a figure, the entity darted away which only worsened Samson's temper. While he may vanish from view within the forest, the faunus' angered and profane words, combined with the raucous bellow of his weapon, didn't leave much to question in his general direction. Combined with the occasionally mutilated tree bearing ragged saw marks, a few smaller trees even cleaved in twain, and one might wonder exactly what ferocious and tenacious foe the faunus was after to merit such blind rage. Every time he could swear he got close to the creature, SO CLOSE to taking back what it had stolen from him, but it always managed to slip free from him at the last second. To any whom might feel inclined to avoid a berserking faunus wielding a flaming chainsaw greatsword....well they wouldn't need to worry about said danger sneaking up on them to say the slightest. While not to his knowledge, Samson's quarry was conveniently leading him to the target he and his partner had been moving toward. "Get back here I swear I will catch you you miserable furball!" Samson bellowed out again as he clambered up a rocky facing, Adamastos morphing into its ranged form as he did so. Just spying the monster darting over the rock face, Samson leaped atop it, already loading an explosive shell into his weapon, preemptively preparing to annihilate his foe. "TO HELL WITH IT YOU CAN BURN!" Samson shouted, finger pulling the trigger on Adamastos just as he was coming into view of the surroundings past the rocky out cropping, and temper dulling common sense as to what might BE there already. A sharp, deep, and punching note quaked forth from the faunus as a fiery exhaust sailed forth from Adamastos, projectile sailing forth from the other. Glowing warhead screaming through the air, Samson's enemy wasn't anywhere to be found within its fire zone, but a sizable pack of beowulf grimm certainly were. A second after he pulled the trigger the air would be filled with both a visually and audibly blindsiding display. A single, low, quaking 'BOOM' shook through the air as a thick plume of a fiery explosion enveloped a sizable few meters within the group of beowulf; not enough to kill their full numbers, but enough to fry a good handful. Standing atop the rocky out cropping he'd climbed, Samson huffed as the shell he'd fired ejected, now smoking, onto the ground. "Dammit....dammitdammitdammitdammitDAMMIT!" The faunus kicked the ground in anger over him having lost his foe yet again, and the sounds of howling filling the air only serving to worsen his irritation. As the brilliant, flaming ball of fire dissipated into a smoking cloud into the air, Samson eventually spied what appeared to be a temple. Well.....he didn't succeed in his attempt.....again...but he got to his goal......without ensuring his partner was wit him.....and possibly putting them in danger....smooooooooth.

Who: A Lost Child

When: Right after Kitty made stuff go boom?

Where: Back where Kitty left her

With: Trees

Staring blankly ahead Aster stepped back a bit, "well okay bye?" she said sarcastically before starting in his directiong, "Make friends with a kitty after watching him make a Grimm go dead and this is what I get?! Left behind like a child alone in the...-" she stopped and looked around becoming frozen in place, "Alone?" she asked herself hugging Betty and Mary to her chest. "Alone..." She said again now starting to freak out a little. Walking again, well more like jogging, the girl hurried through the woods, "i mean I'm not that alone, there... there are tree and Grimm and Salmon he's surely near by." she told herself as her pace quickened, "SALMON!" She yelled cupping her hands around her mouth as she looked around. Her body shook as she called out for her new feline friend, he wouldn't just abandon her, right? "Here Kitty kitty kitty!" she called teleporting over a fallen tree. Taking a quick breath she looked around, "Come on Ash it's not like you're scared of being alone, it's not like somethings going to- uh...- i mean you got betty and mary they don't -er...." she mumbled as her imagination started to get the best of her. Her guns seemed to vanish within her hands and her stars from her belt along with her big booms. Patting around for her weapons she started to panic gripping her head a bit. "Okay.. I am alone and I am terrified of it..." she finally admitted to herself.
