Semblance: Glyphs

The Schnee family semblance of creating glyphs which are able to produce a variety of effects. The basic glyphs simply show the symbol of the Schnee family and are for things like propulsion and shields. Glyphs that stray from basic purposes have different colors and different symbols that often portray their purpose before they take effect. There is also the summoning aspect which allows him to summon avatars of past enemies, he prefers to perform partial summoning a as full summoning so are harder and take more aura.

Though not part of his semblance he is adept in the manipulation of his aura to do things such as raise shields and increase the force behind physical strikes, although these techniques drain aura a lot faster then passive defenses and healing does.

Weapon: World Trigger and Star Ocean

World Trigger is a blade of pure energy that is extended and retracted from the handle of the blade. Star Ocean is a heavy pistol which has modifiable firing modes of varying speeds and power, the pistol can be loaded with different types of dust. He wields both at once with Star Ocean in one hand and World Trigger in the other.

Personality: He has a very militaristic persona that is almost always apparent about him, he will still often refer to himself by his cadet rank sometimes. His voice always has a very commanding or rather firm tone to it. He has been trained to be as good a follower as he is a leader, able to transition between either for the sake of the situation. He always keeps a firm command of his motions preferring to channel them rather then let them run wild, maintaining a tranquil fury kind of state. He values honor, duty, discipline, integrity, service, and perseverance above all else, he believes there's no greater honor then going down in the line of duty.

Backstory: Unlike most in his family, he didn't want anything to really do with the family business and rather wanted to join the Atlesian Military making him the literal black sheep of the family. He against the wishes of most of his family attending an Atlesian Military Prep School for Future Huntsmen. He was a phenomenal cadet becoming a Cadet 2nd LT by the time he was 13. He became a Cadet Major when he was admitted to Atlas Academy, it's rare for one to have the ability to go to Atlas Academy as such a young age where all other students were pretty much older than he is. His skills as a huntsman, however, made him undeniably qualified especially as a leader of his four-man team. It was an adjustment going from leading in charge of a battalion of cadet to just a four man team but he ran it efficiently none the less.

Flaws:
  • He hates it when people assume he is involved with the Schnee Dust Company
  • His military persona can be off putting to others especially those who dislike what the military stands for or if they dislike the ethics of huntsmen joining a nation's military.
  • Despite how in check he keeps his emotions, he keeps the most dangerous one locked away the one known as love and fears the day someone unlocks it could be the death of him.

Sexuality: Bisexual

Personality: The first thing people tend to notice about Rudy is that he is incredibly confident, almost aggressively so. One might even say... bullish (heh, puns). He has a generally positive outlook on things and is pretty laid back, not taking much too seriously. He is one of the most casual of the Atlas Students and is usually the one to make a joke. That being said, he takes the job of a Hunter seriously, despite outward appearances and is very protective of his allies and the Atlas civilians. He has a strong hatred for the Grimm but hated criminal groups that harm innocents even more, especially the White Fang. He is also very stubborn and set in his ways. Whilst he is very laid back he still follows orders like any other Atlas student, just isn't necessarily as formal as the others.

Weaknesses/Flaws:
  • Incredibly stubborn.
  • Overconfident of his own capabilities.
  • Always takes the most direct approach to things and doesn't often think his actions through.
  • An entirely offensive fighting style, weapon and semblance means he is unprepared when he has to go on the defensive.
  • Has little to defend against ranged attacks.
  • Semblance basically puts him on a timer in terms of combat, the longer it goes on the weaker he gets.

Enter a state of pure hyperactivity, where strength and speed is greatly enhanced, though once it's over, it can leave him powerless/weakened for a short time.

Weapons - Money Shots

Miller is equipped with a pair of dual handguns, which he uses in most, if not all, combat situations. He is equipped with four different types of bullets: Fire/Burn, Ice, Gravity, and standard bullets.

The fire bullets are able to burn a foe from the inside, though only enough to provide minor damage, and never enough to kill them unless shit through the head or heart.

His bullets with gravity dust are able to propel a foe back a good distance, leaving them open for an attack or another shot from his other variety of bullets. They can also be used to propel himself forward, but due to them being pistol rounds, they don't propel himself forward much.

Finally, his ice bullets, much like his fire/burn ones, are able to provide minor damage to a foe from once they're shot with one.

Personality:
Miller is a very unpredictable person. Although he calculates his attacks and is overall very aware of his surroundings, he is also cocky and tends to not appear to take things seriously. Though in reality, he does, it's just that quips help liven up the fight for him.

Backstory:
Having witnessed the fall of Beacon back when he was a young child over the television, Miller made himself a promise that he'd put a stop to terrorist organizations such as the White Fang from ever harming innocents again.

His mom died when he was a young child, leaving his single father to raise him on his own. His father trained him from an early age in weaponry and fighting, though Miller always seemed to prefer using his handguns.

When he was fifteen, Miller was accepted into Haven Academy, where he continued his training and studies up until this very day.

Weaknesses/Flaws:
He sometimes lets his emotions get the best of him, and due to his better sense of judgement, he goes out of his way to help a person in need, even if it means abandoning the mission to do so.

He is can also be very cocky at times without realizing it, which tends to get himself into trouble as well.

After extended use of his semblance, he grows weaker and his aura can lower greatly if not careful, making it dangerous to use it over long periods of time, especially in a fight or close combat situations.

Semblance: Roiling Clouds; conjures up a 'storm' of 'dust' (or Dust if he has access to it) that engulfs the area around him. This often requires an element of nature, and is shaped by his surroundings; it can become torrential rain in areas where water is prevalent, a blizzard-like snow storm when snow is on the ground, a sandstorm in his home land; so on, and so forth. When actually having access to Dust, he can often 'force' certain weather conditions (like using Ice dust to create a snow storm in the middle of a desert). In all cases, he is never adversely affected by these changes; mostly due to the compensation factor of his armor.

Weapon: Thousand Claws. A set of hand and foot claws; gauntlets and boots that are incorporated into his full body armor. The claws themselves are made of high quality metal alloys, and are capable of being infused with Dust cartridges, though their range is very limited (he can fire them off up to a range of 30 feet, and function in a manner similar to throwing knives). Said Dust cartridges can infuse his attacks with elements, though he usually enjoys using 'force' or 'gravity' cartridges in order to amplify the power of his physical attacks, rather than using traditional elements.

His fighting style is not so much like that of a brawler or kick boxer, as one might expect, but has often been likened to a wild animal; or more appropriately, "fighting like a Grimm". Wild, ferocious, savage, while maintaining some degree of flexibility; all revolving around which Grimm 'style' he is emulating.

Sexuality: Doesn't seem to show an interest (is, in fact, straight)

Personality: Mercurial by nature, Sarava has what some might call a stereotypical Vacuo world view; only the strong survive, and the strong are the ones worth respecting. Of course, this doesn't stop him from occasionally worrying over his sister, Sigal. Because his Semblance can be a burden to others, and because of his home's view of needing to be strong, Sarava has the sort of personality that often drives him to act as a 'lone wolf'; that he tends to frighten others with his intensity also has the tendency to keep others at bay.

However, when people do take the time to get close to him and know him, he readily adopts people into his "family", and will do almost anything for those he cares about. Though he portrays himself as larger than life, there is definitely a strength of will and tenacity to back up his image, and woe will befall those who bring harm to those whom he seeks to protect.

Though he despises discrimination, he can't stand the radicalism of groups like the White Fang; however, his anger problems tend to get in the way of his own ideals (that Faunus should work hard to set a good example to others, and try to fit in).

Backstory: Vacuo is not a kind place, and its history is less than pleasant. Manipulated and utilized by other nations for many years; even once they gained their own independence, they basically remained a lawless wasteland, with only the academy of Shade providing any sort of semblance of structure. He grew up hard, because he had to; though he perhaps exaggerates it, Vacuo really isn't the place for the weak of spirit.

He joined Shade academy primarily for the challenge, and secondarily because he wanted to prove to the world that Faunus could be just as much heroes as humans could be; however, his violent tendencies, might makes right mentality, and a whole slew of other little bits and bobs makes this a struggle at the best of times, often resulting in himself being his own worse enemy.

Being more than just a 'jughead' fighter, he spent a lot of time and care working on his weapons, and his armor. He designed the armor for both aesthetic and combat reasons. His whole style of fighting is meant to emulate the beasts he slays, which might bring to mind the phrase about being careful about hunting monsters, lest one thereby become a monster; only time will tell if that will be the case with the older of the Sturm siblings.

The armor itself is capable of fully enclosing itself around him, and integrates his weapons systems; as well as a rebreather that allows him to breathe in toxic environments, a small oxygen tank to spend time underwater, and a targeting assistance program built into the visor to assist him in seeing in inclement weather (no night-vision, given Faunus have naturally occurring night vision).

The aesthetics of the armor are meant to resemble a Grimm, though he gives varying reasons as to why he would choose such a design choice.

Weaknesses/Flaws: Overprotective of "family", easily angered, has difficulty making friends, difficulty working in a team. Weapons lack long range capability.

It can be used to coat skin or amour, create a pillar to cover behind, etc.

A little girl. Crying, wailing, screaming as if her world had ended.

An adolescent. Shooting at a suit of armour. Lowering the gun. "It's sturdy."

A young woman. Sitting off the edge of a balcony whose rails had been destroyed in an accident the year prior. Looking down at her scroll.

Sigal is marked by those around her as incredibly soft and kind. She has large, doe-like eyes, nonthreatening and trustworthy. Truly, she is all of these things. She loves to laugh. To improve the lives of those around her.

However.
She is also angry. Hate-filled. Aggressive.
She seeks revenge upon the monsters that threaten to devour her. That took her family - or most of it - that made it so hard to live outside city walls.

Eliminating that threat. The monsters, the fear, the hatred - protection of the living through annihilation of horror.


Backstory:

Born as the younger child to a pair of nomads, Sigal is no stranger to desert sands, and counteracting them. At a young age she was taught to wield a gun, sew, protect herself from the elements. She has a pair of green and purple goggles that hang around her neck in an attempt to protect her eyes from flying sand and debris as needed.

Things in their childhood had been fine. Good, even

Her brother had always wanted to prove himself. In training, races, hell - even hide-and-seek. He needed to be strong, as good as any other, preferably better. It was no surprise to her when he (at the age of thirteen) enrolled into an academy prep school.

She was almost thirteen when life went to hell.
They found themselves with a water shortage first. A lack of oasis or spring for a while had made it nearly essential for them to head back to the city.

Then came the arguing.
It was true that the land had become less and less hospitable over the course of the young faunus' life. Cherry - her mother - wanted to settle down in the city. Find a place to work.
Her father, a nomad at heart, disagreed.

It was finally decided that Cherry would take Sigal to live in the city where her brother went to school. The children's father would go his separate way - and call when he had reception.

But bad things always come in threes - and grimm are attracted to negativity.

The attack came in the night. They slept with weapons at the ready, and her parents were awake, so it took little to grab her bag and gun. She ran.

Over the dunes and sand.
She stopped - shot as fast as her rifle would allow - but upon seeing the blood and gore coating the sand of their campsite she knew that this was not a fight she could win.
She ran.

It took her four days to make it to the city.
Once she made it inside the walls, she got reception almost immediately, called her brother in the middle of the night.
Come get me.


Weaknesses/Flaws:
  • Small: Yeah, she's tiny. Useless in hand-to-hand. Grapple checks? Instant fail.
  • Moral Obligation: Sigal feels the need to save the world. It is doubtful that she could take a human or faunus life - even if it was necessary.
  • Vengeance: Grimm. Sigal takes a sort of sick pleasure in her job of eliminating any and all in her path.. for the benefit of humanity, of course.

-This semblance is very passive. Meaning it's activated 24/7, spontaneously. This semblance makes Artyom's aura 3x times tougher than any other aura. This aura shield is surrounded only to Artyom. It can be visibly seen that his aura is thicker and tougher.

Weapon: A custom M4A1- The assault rifle is completely unmodified when it comes to firepower but it does have have attachments to meet the needs of defeating his enemies. (So it has a Acog sight, rear iron flip sight, leaf iron sight, and a M203 grenade launcher) It is somehow dust compatible.

Personality: This guy is nothing but normal. In fact, he's not even smart to begin with! At first glance it looks like exactly like a regular person. It's true, he's nothing special. His behavior has always been awkward. Genuinely he's simple minded and polite. He just seems to appear miserable, thus assuming the fact that he doesn't seem very sociable. He does try his best to fit in with the others even if he is different. He is soft-hearted and even emotional.

Backstory:
Ever since he was born. Misfortune has always follow him around. He had single mother, who was a huntress. His mother was always busy hunting and he always studies alone. At a very young age. He has always been made fun of being a normie. Some say, he isn't even fun to play or hang out with. As he grew older. His mother got killed during her hunt. Although somehow devastated. He lived on. Without any mother teaching him. He grew up with lack of motivation and emotional problems. He enrolled himself to beacon. Of course without assistance, he always has been very off with the other students of Beacon. Starting with his equipment and clothing. His rifle was only purchased from a cheap store, also was his clothing. Always being picked on by larger gangs and bullies due to his normalcy and semblance. Some won't even let him join teams. Canon events happened, which made him extra unfortunate on his life right now.

Weaknesses/Flaws:

*Human shield- Big risk or not. He won't let an attack pass by on others, even if it drains his aura.

*Simple minded- Being simple minded is sometimes a bad thing. Not thinking of the more complex outcomes of things will bring his doom early. Such as being unaware of what is happening behind his back (Yes, he's that unaware of things) and complex mind games.

*Hand-to-combat, close range

*Unsupervised- Yes, it is indeed a problem that when he is not supervised he can be quite the troublesome fellow as he tries to act in his own free will, which is never a good idea.

*Doesn't know how to talk to women.

Appearance: Ginto usually wears a two-piece suit, black gloves, black steel-toe boots, and heavily-modified and filtered sunglasses that avoids her turning blind whenever using her semblance. All have gold accents. At first, when her teammates replaced all her casual clothing with the kind she usually wore now, she hated it. It grew on her and now, no matter what her teammates tried, she never went back. She liked how professional it made her look and her teammates did, grudgingly, say that she looked amazing in it.

Semblance: Solid Projection.

In battle, Suppresa is reinforced with a sharp edge or a blunt end depending on the situation. Instead of having her baton reinforced from the start of a fight, she’d summon it up in the middle of an attack, not only surprising her opponent with a bright light, but also with the reach of the blade. She removes her projection afterward so she could follow-up with the unexpected.

She has a trick she calls “Flash”, wherein she picks a small projectile, coats it with her semblance, throw the projectile, then explode it. There’s really no damage done except for the eyes exposed to the light. She uses it as a makeshift flashbang grenade, only without the ringing in the ears, but most definitely with the temporary blindness. It’s why she has sunglasses on, after all.

Another one of her nifty little tricks is “Shield”. With Ginto’s offensive type of combat, she usually has some close calls. During her time in Beacon, she found that she could call on a small shield that absorbs the force and explodes in a shower of light. She doesn’t like using it since her shield drains the equivalent amount of force absorbed. Then again, that usually only happens when in the heat of battle, and she has no other way of keeping herself alive or, at the very least, relatively unharmed.

Outside of combat, she uses her semblance as a faux-telekinetic skill, forming a floating golden hand to pick stuff up. This makes it easier for her to literally multi-task, but if there are more than two hands doing different things, it gets confusing and needs her concentration. She finds it difficult to form shapes without anything solid to anchor her projection, so she counts this as her practice.

Weapon: Suppresa is an extendable baton capable of emitting electricity when its trigger is pushed. When in its miniature form, the electricity is expelled from the tip of the baton. When fully extended, the electricity covers the full length except for the handle. The dust she uses is a specially ordered lightning crystal, designed to be inserted at the bottom of the baton within its hollow area. She usually carries four lightning crystals encased in a solid container strapped on her hip. She uses her aura to enhance the baton so it won't break. She also uses it in conjunction with her semblance.

Personality: The cold hatred and hot loathing she feels for the Grimm are still ever-present, only tempered by her times in Signal, Beacon, and Atlas. Instead of hurling all she has against the Grimm in one huge blow, her time in the Academies made her better, laying out careful traps and efficient, yet brutal, strikes. Her times in Signal was focused on a single goal: the death of Grimm. Her interaction with others was stilted, and she's only started to work on it when she was in Beacon and Atlas. Ginto craves for meaningful and loyal relationships, be it platonic or romantic. She may seem cold and apathetic to others at first, but once you gain her trust, she'll be your staunchest ally and friend. One of the main reasons she remains quiet is because she’s a bit awkward when it comes to making conversation. The accompanying mean look is simply there to dissuade people from laughing at her faux-pas, though it doesn’t always work.

When her friendship and loyalty is acquired, however, take care to never betray her. No amount of affection or sympathy will be given to those who turn their back against her.

Backstory: Ginto was raised on Vale but outside its kingdom. She lived happily in a village consisting of Hunter families who preferred to be outside of the walls of Vale, being one with nature (and, in her later years, realizing how expensive living within the Kingdoms were). She had friends and, generally, had fun being a child with simple dreams. Unfortunately, tragedy struck.

Her parents promised her that if she did well in her classes and was a responsible child, they would unlock her aura so they can help her train early. When Ginto was eleven, her parents deemed that it was time. She was filled with excitement, wanting to follow in her parents’ footsteps. The day after the announcement, her parents made a show of hiking away from the village, saying that it was a necessary part of the ritual despite the fact that they were simply walking in circles.

The rites rang in her ear, the feeling of power suffusing her body. Yet, when she opened her eyes, hushed warnings welcomed her instead of warm praise. Her mother was talking to someone with her scroll while her father was keeping a lookout, his large slingshot loaded with explosives ready to be unleashed. Dropping the call, Ginto’s mother spoke the dreaded words of everyone in Remnant.

“The Grimm attacked.”

Everything exploded into motion as her parents ran towards the village to help evacuate those in danger. Ginto lagged behind slightly, never having seen this kind of side of her parents before. She helped with the evacuations, did as told, yet the worst happened. While retreating to safety, a large pack of Beowolves led by an Alpha blindsided them with their ambush. Her mother engaged the pack without hesitation, while her father followed to assist.

Ginto was left behind, torn between helping her parents and wanting to escape. The decision was made for her when one of her neighbors dragged her away, hauling her on his shoulder as they ran. The last memory she has of her parents were their backs, where they were slowly swallowed up by the unrelenting Grimm.

She didn’t remember much of what happened after. In fact, when she came to, she was safe within the walls of Vale and was enrolled in Signal Academy, her time in Vale's orphanage an indescribable blur. While hatred and loathing fuelled her to be the best that she could in the Academy, Ginto made a promise to herself. She would never let herself feel so useless ever again. She would not leave behind those that she cares for. And she would not let herself get left behind.

Strengths:
Ginto is a close combat specialist using a baton. Ginto has a considerable amount of Aura, allowing her to tank some damage as well as dish them out in conjunction with her semblance. Her loyalty is one of her strong points as well. She cherishes the connections she has and keeps it close to her heart. She takes relationships very seriously and cares a great deal on her friend's well-being. If an action doesn’t conflict with her moral alignment, then she quite literally subscribes to the quote: “Ride or die.”

Weaknesses/Flaws:
Ginto is absolutely and hilariously bad when it comes to the art of stealth. She doesn’t exactly stomp or drag her feet around, but her footsteps are just heavy. It doesn’t help that her semblance quite literally shines a bright gold color whenever used. Her team leader jokingly remarked that Ginto’s version of stealth is where no one lives to tell the tale. Speaking of her semblance, while Ginto has a lot of Aura, her semblance drains too much when maintained for too long.

Ginto is surprisingly gullible. She expects people to do her the same courtesy she gives others: truth. Her bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired given that her blunt honesty sticks where it hurts. There's also the fact that she doesn't realize that what she said is hurtful. Sarcasm doesn't always work against her, but when she hears one and is not sure on how to respond, she defaults to a "thank you". Ginto is also easily goaded. She'll jump in your defense if needed, literally subscribing to the quote "Ride or Die". Unfortunately for some of the temporary teammates she works with on missions, she expects them to do the same. If given the choice between the assignment and the people, she'll pick people's safety most of the time.

  • Ginto is a part of the semi-active team MNGT (Midnight). They are a surprisingly tight group despite the fact that the team leader and another member are both tricksters, and the other one bought his way into Beacon. Most of them went their different ways, but they get together when they can, doing missions as a way to catch up on each other’s lives.
  • Modifications: Eyes. Ginto underwent surgery to allow her eyes to tolerate the brightness of her semblance when used offensively. When directly exposed to a bright light, her eyes filter it immediately.

Semblance: Shock Wave
Shock Wave, causes atoms to vibrate when Lav makes contact with an object or his environment. And depending on how much aura he is using, he can force vibrations to exceed normal bounds without too much trouble.
Abilities & Uses


  • Air Vibration: Lav can cause air to vibrate, but he can only do this within a 5 meter radius and cannot perform strong feats of damage with them unless he puts larger portions of his own aura into it. Through this he can create concentrated jets of air through his fists and feet.
  • Sonic Bursts: Lav, can create sonic booms and bursts to temporarily increase his own speed.
  • Sonic Scream: To utilize this, he has to stay still. In terms of the distance his screams can reach it is about 22 feet.
  • Shock wave Stomp: Causes vibrations in the ground depending on how strong he wants it to be, it can cause actual cracks. To do this, he has to actually stomp.
  • Vibration Emission: Lav can vibrate his own atoms to allow him the ability to phase through objects. He can also repel others with small blasts.

  • Physical Amp: With his shockwave semblance, Lav can increase the weight and pressure of his hits to make them heavier and stronger.

  • Using Sonic Bursts or Sonic Booms, causes a major drain with his aura.

  • [Using Vibration Emission to phase through weapons or attacks during battle is an impossible feat that Lavrixl has tried in training on numerous occasions and always failed. Two of those cases nearly ended with him getting seriously injured.
  • Using too much of his Shock wave abilities can cause him to gain tense muscles that slightly slow down his movement.

Two brass knuckles that cover the entire hand. When in attack mode, the knuckles cover the entirety of its owners fingers and go an inch above the knuckles themselves. Each knuckle as a barrel that shoots out ammo, and the wrists of both knuckles are the only way to reload the weapon.
History

Personality: Lav is a decent, friendly guy. But, he's seen his fair share of the world and he didn't like too much of what he saw. Lav, can be somewhat authoritative and almost demanding in battle. Where he is a kind, jovial fellow off duty, he becomes blunt, stern, and severe. A major part of him does this out of a sense of protecting his kin, another part of him does it in a selfish sense of wanting to maintain dominance.

One other thing to note is Lav's temper. He is strategical, but when his temper plays into things he begins overthinking actions you don't generally overthink. Despite this, he generally tries his best to keep a lid on his anger. When he gets angry, he goes out to clear his head. But when he's confronted with racists, a more feral instinct takes form.

If one thing can be said about Lav, is that he's a kind soul who doesn't discriminate against others, but when his temper flares or you find a place in his shit trash list, you better watch out. Because impressions are important.


Background
Born to a low-class thief and a earl retired hunter, Lavrixl came into the world solely based off a one night stand. And coming into Mistral as a half-fauna hybrid did him no favors. Because a fauna, was still a fauna.

Lavrixl's mother, Peris, wasn't a good mother figure. Being a fauna and a graduate of Atlas Academy, she had the skills. She just didn't have the heart when it came to dealing with politics, the hate, and the racism. But if it weren't for her, Lav knows he would be dead. When you need to scrounge the streets for food and pull tricks with the other group of kids to scrap by, you need to have good social skills. So, Peris made sure he got the practice. By leaving Lav alone in the streets of Kunoichi for an entire day and only coming back to make sure he was still alive. Not that she'd have ever let anything really dangerous happen to him, but how was he supposed to know that? He was 7 when it all started.

And he was 10 when a friend of his birth father finally came to hunt his mother down.

Around the same time his mother fled and left him, Lavrixl got adopted. Not by his injured, disgruntled father, but by a better man. Kalvin. And with Kalvin's help, he was accepted into Sanctum Academy.

The only problem was, Sanctum Academy hadn't accepted him. News of the White Fang being a part of Mantle's uprising, brought on a darker look to fauna, and despite Lavrixl being only half, it made no difference. He was still made a target by his fellow mates.

And for a while he took those punches, all the way till graduation and he got accepted into Haven Academy. The only problem was, some of the people that been his instigators were joining also. And if it wasn't worse, he became part of a team with the worst of them. Evan, Isaac, and Xander. ELIX was what they were called.

For the first year, Lavrixl hated being a part of that team. Every bit of advice he offered got ignored, every snide remark they threw was aimed at his identity, and every time they worked in practice scenarios, if they ever lost he would get blamed.

So he decided to change things up. He decided to leave the team. Only problem was, he couldn't do that. Haven Academy had rules, so switching gears he worked off one of them. He decided he'd fight for leadership. Now, at first he was laughed at. Lavrixl, wasn't strong. Out of all three, he was the weakest. But what they had in strength, he had in tactic. After several months of training and planning, he fought for the title with Evan.

Their match lasted an hour. And when it ended, it came too close to a draw. Evan's semblance messed with perception while Lav's semblance messed with his surroundings. The two were taxed, but neither gave in. Till Evan decided to cheat, and after an accident that could've very well killed Lav, his position was stripped and given to the latter.

When Lav came out of the hospital and found the news, he was devastated. Because it meant he hadn't earned their loyalty, he had to make certain he kept them under his thumb. For three years, he fought in a makeshift power struggle with Evan while Luke and Isaac were more of just bystanders. And when they graduated?

Their group disbanded and feeling a change of pace, he headed to Vale.


Flaws
  • Temper: Anger is something he tries to repress quite a bit. But doing so isn't easy.
  • Dominance: Due to years of having to prove himself worthy of a position he never thought he'd have to fight for, Lav, isn't used to having people listen to his orders or instructions. He becomes strict, fierce, and slightly aggressive if he isn't listened to, because that was the only way he could challenge Evan on even playing field.
  • Bigotry: Lav, utterly despises bigots. Some of his worst years in Sanctum were because of bigots and his worst times on the streets.
  • Over-Analyzing: Lav, tends to over analyze when pressure sets in. When he does, he misses things and over thinks things which leads to him making slip up.

Charles is able to sense his surroundings using his aura. This allows him to not only be keenly aware of exactly where and what he's doing at all times, but also makes it harder for surprises to pop up. It also allows him to essentially see through walls. However, this does interfere with electronics. Anytime he needs to drive a car, call someone, or even use a microwave he needs to turn off his semblance, which can be uncomfortable to do, like wearing shoes that are three sizes to small. The ability is also not absolute. It's like using a searchlight rather than a radar. It's always pointing a certain direction allowing things to slip by.

Weapon:
Fenrir is a small black tomahawk that can easily transform into a one handed shotgun. Charles uses this weapon not only for it's incredible versatility, but for it's ability to control the opponents movements through grappling. The alternate shotgun mode is useful not only for ranged combat, but also for propulsion when you need a little kick in your step. Rough depiction
Jormungandr is a small twelve inch knife with a thin yet very strong cable attached to the hilt. The other end of the cable is connected to a reel on a gauntlet that goes halfway down the forearm and doesn't cover the fingers. This can be used not only as a melee weapon but to retrieve far away objects or more often than not, to propel him swiftly and decisively. Rough depiction
This deadly combination allows him to pull in enemies and himself closer together for close quarters combat, while also making him proficient in counter-attacking using grappling and disarming techniques. This method of fighting has also made him a lethal brawler due to the close proximity he's so used to fighting in.

Personality: Charles can be a bit difficult to work with. He can be severely blunt although not entirely honest, despite having a knack for exposing secrets because of his semblance. His extreme paranoia only matched by his talent for sarcasm. His time at Atlas changed him though. He was still paranoid, sarcastic, and secretive, but now he'd learned to control his anger and replaced it with a more tactical mindset. They taught him to cope with his PTSD by replacing it with busy hands. He developed a sense of comradely he'd never known before. He found his heart there, a place to call home. He remembered how to care for people again, how to really live. Once he took that oath of protection he was more caring. He felt an obligation to people, because if he wouldn't watch over them, who would? He'd found purpose, and maybe even a new family.

Backstory:
Charles was born in a small shack in the woods. He was raised on fishing and hunting for himself and his small family of five. Every other week it was him, his dad, and his sister stalking through the woods, looking for their next meal. It was a hard life, but a simple one. A life that you could enjoy without the hassle other people tend to bring with them. But like everything in this world, walls can only hold so long against the Grimm.

A particularly cold Autumn day left the hunt barren and their rations as exhausted as their feet. They had no choice, but to turn back and face a few starving nights in the coming months. Although they came to find it didn't matter how much food they had that day. They came home to see claw marks as large as horses scaling the walls of the cabin. The father was frantic searching for his missing family. They had to be somewhere, anywhere. They were. When Mr. MacGregor found the cellar doors folded in he couldn't stop his legs as he strode down into the broken bunker. A woman with a child wrapped in her arms laid beaten into the corner, covered with broken jars that once held the little food they had stored for the long winter.

They didn't have much of a funeral. They weren't very religious. It was a burial of a body to keep the animals off their corpses. Their mother was already gone. With how much they'd lost, they had no choice but to head east to Vale. At the very least they needed to somehow resupply for winter.

They started the long trek, but along the way constant attack from Grimm kept them from making any real progress. The father was the first to go. He stood up to an Ursa to allow his kids to escape before joining his wife. The image of his body being torn apart forever seared into their minds. Days later, his sister was carried off by a Nevermore. The only reason Charles seemed to be able to avoid them, was by somehow... anticipating them. He could feel where they were. He knew where to hide, and where they wouldn't find him.

Barely escaping the woods with his life left many scars. Eight long jagged claw marks reaching down his back from a Beowulf, and four across his chest. He was able to kill it with a hunting knife, faltering strength and his new found aura as weak, as it was at the time, before the thing could finish him off. After three long months of eating squirrels and berries he finally arrived at Vale, the only thing really keeping him alive being his will and his aura. A faint knock on the first door he saw was all he could muster before collapsing on the porch. The family that lived there gladly rushed him to the hospital before he became their problem. While the kid was barely able to speak while he was suffering from starvation and cold, they were able to find out he was obviously from the woods. When they asked how he survived the Grimm, he simply stated that he could see them.

A few weeks in intensive care and hardly a word out of him made him an adequate applicant for foster care. He only spent a year there before leaving. At least he could keep what little freedom he had left on the outside of those brick walls. Along the way he made and lost a lot of friends. Many of them were Faunus, just trying to get by like him. He even snuck into into a few White fang meetings with a friend of his. The one time he was caught, they almost killed him. He's been a bit bitter about the organization since.

Years later, a passing soldier from atlas caught wind of rumors circling a strange kid that mysteriously appeared from the woods years ago. While she was already recruiting huntsmen for the academy she decided to try to find the kid. It didn't take long before she found Charles getting the snot beat out of him in an alleyway by a bunch of rich brats. The fight was stopped, and while every authority that had an inkling of who this kid was, assured her he was nothing but trouble, the recruiter saw something in him. He was hastily interviewed and sent to Atlas academy to be trained as a huntsman despite his lack of education and age. There he learned how to be part of something again, no matter how much he disliked the notion at the time. It was still leagues better than scrounging on the street. Soon he became one of their youngest graduates to date and at the top of his class. He was quickly assigned onto one of their elite task forces.

Weaknesses/Flaws: Paranoid, Compassion, Doesn't forgive easily, Extreme Hatred towards Grimm, bad blood with bad people, has a knack for telling jokes at the wrong times, fear of loss often holds him back

Red Havoc is a two part weapon. The first part is the sword which uses dust cartridges to form its blade. The color of the blade corresponds with the type of dust. Crimson is seen using his weapon in various ways; whether if its only using the sword, dual wielding the sword and pistol, or even dual wielding the sword and sheathe.

Crimson is a blunt, rude, snarky, yet calm, nonchalant, and skilled. He’s known to be a functioning alcoholic. There’s only a slim chance that Crimson, won’t have a flask filled with liquor inside on him. He holds little to nor respect for the Atlas military and their ways. At times Crim can be a bit cocky, even when the odds are against him. Crimson’s rude and alcoholic image hides his true self which is a skilled huntsmen who strives for peace.
Backstory:
Crimson grew up within the lower levels of Mistral. He grew up around, thieves, assassins, and other unsavory individuals. He’s time he spent there was spent training by those very unsavory people. Their goal was to forge the young Crimson into what they are in order for him to join them when he becomes older and that he did. At the age of 9 Crimson joined the thieves and sneaked into the homes within the upper levels. For years Crimson pulled of thieving jobs, increasing his control over his semblance and his skills in fighting. One day Crimson and other thieves snuck into the house of a huntress. Little did he know that decision changed his life forever.
Moments after entering the home, they were noticed and the huntress retaliated. The elder thieves she made quick work of but when it came to Crimson she was surprised in his skills for a simple 10yr old. After she finally caught him, she gave him two choices. To go to jail with the others, or stay with her and train to become a huntsmen. Crimson never really had the desire to be a huntsmen, but she made it sound very convincing with her soothing motherly voice, something Crimson hasn’t heard since his mother died. So of course he chose to stay and he trained. He skills increased but his manors could still use some work. After years of training he enrolled within the academy and graduate within the top 5.

Weaknesses/Flaws:

Crimson is and Alcoholic. There's not a single time when he's not sipping on something out of his black flask.

Because of his senses, certain pitches, and very bright lights can cause him some problems.

Crimson's past as sometimes been a thing that comes back to hunt him.

- Dawn Ruddy is an easily defined girl. She's arrogant, she's rude, she's truthful and she's a dedicated worker. She's loyal to her friends, even if she expects a little bit too much in return. She's a lazy student, and expects her friends to help her with work she can't be bothered to do. Still, she's thankful for their help when she gets it, and expresses it well. She's not too fond of humans, nor males, but she puts up with them all the same.

Backstory :
- Dawn's parents moved from Mistral to Vacuo for an easier life before Dawn was born, fed up with the racism they endured. They were both fox faunus with the same trait, and faced limited job options in Mistral. They didn't want the same for their children when they had them; and had them they did. Dawn wasn't the first, nor the last child that her parents adopted. She had seven siblings. Her parents raised them all under a strictly Mistrallian roof, but in Vacuo. Everyone in the house went into strictly different professions, decided by their adopted parents. Dawn was the child that got picked for restaurant work; the lowest paying profession out of the bunch. Dissatisfied with this, Dawn put in an application to Shade Academy, signed a few papers and became technical 'property' of Shade Academy.

- Without her parents looming over her shoulder, Dawn became somewhat of a teacher's pet to many of the teachers at school. She hardly ever leaves campus, makes a mess of her dorm room and acts like it's solely hers, and sleeps through half her classes without consequence. She leans on her team for support more often than she takes care of herself.

Guardian - Lynae's semblance allows her to mark a person or object and become its guardian. Once she is the guardian of said person or item she can sense when the person or item is in danger and can instantly teleport to it. Lynae's Guardee does not have to be in her direct eye-sight for teleport to, but since she can not see around her Guardee then she can jump into danger. Lynae usually marks one of her teammates so she can teleport to them when she is in a pinch.To mark a person or object she does have to be in direct contact with what she wants to be Guardian of.

Weapon:
Predator's Edge - Predator's Edge is a sword that can flip back into a bow. In the sword form, it is around the length of Lynae's arm and when switched to the bow form it doubles in length. Predator's edge can be used in close range combat in both forms since the bow form's edge's are sharp as the blade. The arrows can be loaded with dust from the quiver depending on what the Lynae needs in the situation. The way this is controlled is by a scroll like device attached to her forearm. The arrows can be set to a certain order for the arrows to be pulled out, such as Fire-A, Ice-A, Fire-A, Gravity-A.

Most people describe this young woman as a social butterfly and on the surface she is. She happily greets new people asks plenty of questions, but to her friends, it is slightly different. Lynae can be seen as the over-protective mother for her friends. She can be abrasive and overbearing but she is only this way because she cares deeply for her friends and only wants the best, even though she thinks her ideas are better. Lynae is extremely protective of those around her and is willing to sacrifice herself for others and extreme cases she would probably sacrifice others.

Backstory:
Lynae's mother died when she was young forcing her to become the woman of the house. Her father was a huntsman so he was away from the house often, leaving the household duties to fall on Lynae. Her father would come home to check in on Lynae and her siblings at least once a month if he could and he would tell them he loves them constantly before he would leave. The impromptu mother watched over here younger brother with a watchful eye and a stern look. Every now and then the neighbors would come check in on them or even come to have dinner with them since Lynae was a wonderful cook. One day, when the Nakesha father was home, Lynae informed him that she wished to become a huntress,"I-I-I don't want what happened to mother to happen to you or them,"She mumbled pointing to her brother,"I know you are a hunter yourself, but I feel like I need to do this...If that is okay with you...." Her father chuckled and hugged her.
