Witness Our Fall

What if your worst dream had come true? What would you do?

What if spiders and bugs suddenly crawled up and down your skin, you fell off a building, or a monster was under your bed? What if your mother died? Or your kids were kidnapped? Or you had cancer?

Now what if your best dream had become corrupted? A cure for cancer at the cost of personality? A well-paying job that requires you to work long and hard? The glory of war, only to come back without legs? Maybe, owning the Earth and realising the error in your ways?

Worse, isn't it? That what the former USSR had learned, certainly, after completely puppeting the world. It's subjects had taken Communism to heart, there were food shortages worldwide, public executions, even the purging of entire towns.

The one leverage the Soviets had? ICBM's. Russia protected the majority of it's people in bunkers, hid them underground and estabilished a vacuum tube internet system, and a subterranean phone network, then it ended the world as we know it.

The beating on the huge airlock doors of their bunkers slowly came to a stop after six-hundred years. Convoys were sent out to colonize again, but were never heard from. They are presumed dead.

Another fourty years passed and humanity still clinged on to it's pre-war state, outdoor radiation checks started to recieve less and less radiation and soot in the air, and it was eventually deemed safe enough to survive in, by now the bunkers were running out of stores, their people becoming anxious and aggressive.

The world was completely different, Moscow was little more than a few hundred stone remnants and a golden plain of tallgrass, Kamchatka was a warm forest, filled to the brim with new species of vegetation and animals. Vladivostok was an alpine expanse.

The one thing that hadn't changed was the hate for one-another that had built up in the underground areas. Factions soon split up, endless wars abound in the Moscow area, eventually, every side simply ran out of reasons to hate eachother and lived harmoniously.

The gunpowder for their weapons was all spent, and almost every gun was ruined or damaged in some way or another. Another hundred and a half years later and humanity had doubled in size, but only crawled up from primitive technology to feudalist societies.

Kings and Emperors ruled again, their people were oppressed, their serfs farmed, and their soldiers kept fighting with their license plate machete's and pipe spears. All of the money earned was divided into tax and paid to the local village elder, who gave it to the noble, who gave it to the king, who, in the end, gave it to the Emperor.

The year is two-thousand, eight-hundred and eighty-four. King Mërlæus runs the country named: Yøəsešar [YOO-uhs-esh-arr], it is currently the largest country in the Euro-Russian area, other notable nations would be:

The Holy Khanate of Yôrshka, a veteran people of the Moscow plains, hardy and stout, they worship the 'Great Sickle', a tool of utmost importance in their society based on wheat production.

The Péterist's, they are a reformed Russian-Catholic state in Sein Péter's Bûrg, the equivalent of the Papal States of old.

Characters in this RP will hopefully try to unify the Rus'land, but if you don't, it doesn't matter to me, just have fun.

There will be combat mechanics, and a wound and radiation system. Along with food and hunger. You will be expected to take care of your character. If you don't, they will die.

The people of the Rus'land, Eastern Europe, speak a heavily bastardised version of Latin-Russian, society had slowly forgotten language and writing altogether and had to relearn it, this is why they have reverted back to Feudalism, because they can't read the instructions set out for them, created long ago.

Western Europe is a nuclear wasteland as it was hit by the brunt of ICBM's, but there are nations still out there. The Rus'land has technology related to the 1400's, crossbows do exist, but are rare. And heraldry is rife with traffic stop signs and sandwich shop motto's, thought to be holy texts of old.

Human's stick to villages and castles, not yet willing to occupy the labrynth that is the ruins of Moscow.
