  BACKSTORY

  
  
  The Harrisons have always belonged to the high society, whether it was back in Britain or whether after they moved to America. Oscar Harrison has set up a chain of construction companies, made fortune and Britain became too small for the ambitions of one man. Europe seemed too cliché and after the argument with his older son, who refused to join the family business, Oscar decided it was time to try his luck overseas. He packed his wife and younger son Tobias and left Europe. America provided another wave of thriving success and the Harrisons joined the wealthiest families which meant that Toby has found himself in a group of rich kids again. He quickly formed many friendships due to his carefree and cheerful nature and was quite popular person in these circles. Until one day…
  
  Toby had his own plans after graduation. Not that they were relevant and money-earning, not at all. But those were -his- plans. Yet, daddy dearest had a different idea. After losing one son, Toby’s older brother Theodore, to the medical field, he was determined to force Toby to be the next in line for his business empire. He insisted that Toby went to college but the young boy was absolutely against the idea of becoming a civil engineer or anything else that had to do with the family business. He fought his father long and hard and so did his mom. The way Toby saw it, there was plenty of time for him to choose his major since he was still in high school.
  
  It was the controlling ways of Toby's father that were the greatest cause of the family falling apart. Elizabeth, Toby's mother, was unable to bear the same routine anymore and she filed for divorce. Toby was not the happiest panda at first and e also fell in his old ways of experimental party life he had been trying to avoid ever since they came from Britain. It led him a bit astray but only until he realized that the divorce was the greatest thing that ever happened. It meant two birthdays, two Christmases, two Thanksgiving, everything doubled. And considering that his parents wanted his favor and support, they would do anything for the boy.
  
  Utilizing the situation, Toby was falling deeper into the party animal status, he became the life of the party and never rejected any invitation. Patries, alcohol and drugs started to fill the hole he felt in his heart and which he would never admit. Commitment became the greatest fear for him because what was the point?
