Rules (REDONE)

1. When making a nation you can only start out with 15 million at the most. This will change for future nations when average population rises.

2. Land forces must be reasonable, the size must fit well with your population and territory. Land Force should be equal to those of existing nations, this is bound to change as time goes on. After you are first accepted and entered, you may expand your military to at most five percent of your total population.

3. If you have "riders", aka men and women who ride say a saber or griffon, depending on the beast you must limit the number. PM the RP Leader for more details.

4. When setting territory you can not be spread to far out, to large, or to thinned. If you are seafaring you still apply to this rule. When setting territory you much not have any ridiculous sized territory, PM the RP Leader for details.

5. Don't be rude to other players and don't god mod or control their armies. If a war is happening between players then you must post about the battle and let the other player respond in a manner where they can fight back, unless it is a complete overrun then it is almost always automatic victory.

6. Try to have fun and hope you enjoy the RP!

7. RP Leader and Permitted Mods will trigger certain events.

8. When you declare war there must be a reasonable CB besides "I attack just to attack". You may claim on of their provinces in a post secretly or even openly, but you must wait two to four pages to declare war for it. Time to declare war in such an instance will vary on how many provinces you claim, but the maximum is three.

9. One page equals three months.

10. Try to keep modern politics out of the RP.

11. Regions are the set areas in the RP. There are 12 Regions (see map) in the world of Arret and all have one unique thing about them, Dragons. Six of the Dragons are friendlier, providing wisdom and advice to those who dare enter it's layer. The other six Dragons are hostile and, if one makes a wrong move, will not hesitate to wreak havoc on a majority of it's region unless stopped. The Dragons are the strongest, most feared, creatures in the RP.

12. Dragons can not be tames, can not join a country, and will not fight along side Humans, Elves, and Dwarves. The will only ever do so if a hostile Dragon enter's the region and begins to wreak havoc, but this requires that said Dragon to be a friendlier one. If one wishes to kill a hostile Dragon, then they must do so with a subjugation force. A single hero or a battalion of troops won't be enough. It will take a small army to kill one as, like mentioned previously, Dragons are the strongest creatures on Arret.

13. You are allowed to follow any religion you like, as long as it isn't offensive to some people (but that is very rare and will most likely never happen, but that chance is still there). You may even follow existing religions in the RP, or you can make one up.

14. When settling a new province you must make a post about it and you must wait an entire page to officially settle. You may only settle TWO provinces that border you at the same time and it must not be previously owned. However if you are the last post of a page and the next page comes after the next post, you must wait until nearly the end of said page to officially settle.

15. Military cap is between 4% to 6% of population, depending on the nation (very militaristic nations can have large military's, as a balance their tech should be behind others just a bit).

more to come......

Limits:

1. Population limit is at 26 million, all previous players before change make sure pop increase is gradual. New players make sure you pop is at this level until all current players have reached this limit. This sentence will be bold when that has been reached.

2. Tech limit is at 1920, all previous players before this change make sure tech increasing is gradual. All new players until nearly all current players are at 1920 tech are still to be at 1918 tech. This sentence will be bold when that has been reached.

3. Naval limit is increased from 130 or 180 depending on nation to 200 to 230 depending on nation, make sure this is gradual and new players will still be at 130 to 180 depending on nation.

Extra Note: New RPer's be aware that you must follow these limitations as well, to avoid the newer nations somehow being stronger than the older ones.

Dragon Wars:

Dragon Wars, or simply a battle between two or more dragons, are a very dangerous event that can affect the nations involved. In most cases the dragon's involved don't lose their lives much of the time, but the areas affected could be scarred forever. If fighting reaches a country that area could be blanked in fire and destruction, regardless if it is a hostile or friendly dragon. In most cases if there is a war where a dragon battle happens they will end up there and disrupt the fighting. Dragon Wars have been known to end up to be very deadly for many species and Dragon Wars will result in loss of life, property, and money. There are a few ways to solve these immense battles: Kill both dragons involved, kill the hostile dragon, or let the battle happen and hope you survive. To distinguish a dragon, their scales match up with the color of their region.
