Your average coffee enthusiast
PLEASE NOTE: I am no longer looking for new roleplays since I have my hands full at the moment. But, keep an eye out because I might delete this part and get back to searching soon! You can also drop me a message so I can get back to you once I'm more freed up!
Hi there! I'm new to the site, but not new to roleplaying and have roleplayed on various platforms for years. I stopped roleplaying for about 5 years and have just recently revisited it given I missed the creative streak it gave me. I've been browsing through the threads for a while now and might have stolen a few bits and bats of information which aligned with my own interests and expectations when it comes to roleplaying:
Roleplay Suggestions
While I struggle to keep up with a lot of fandoms (which explains the lack of fandom plots), I'm open to:
1x1 roleplays
My Original Group Roleplays
I turned the following ideas (that were previously listed) into group roleplays:
Please let me know if you're interested at all!
I am also open to hearing out any roleplay ideas which you suggest.
- I'd like to put it out there that I'm 18+ and am comfortable in communicating and roleplaying with people in the same age range, especially if we navigate more mature storylines during the roleplay (which are still within the site's guidelines).
- I currently am a corporate slave
and unfortunately will be working on the weekdays, so I may not be active 24/7 but I will provide updates if I'm particularly busy and will try to draft a response by the end of the day. I understand we're all busy and don't expect you to be glued to your device, monitoring the thread for my reply. That being said, after a month of inactivity, I'll gently move onto the next roleplay and wish you the best (I get it, stuff happens, or interest fades)! I would appreciate a heads up if you're not feeling it anymore, though.
- My style consists of writing in 3rd person and in past tense. I tend to write posts with a minimum of around 500 words (yapper). Please do not feel inclined to mirror me, since quality > quantity, but I do appreciate depth. It's a little underwhelming when I write paragraphs and receive a sentence in response, which does little to further the plot and doesn't even properly address interactions included in my post.
- Please don't play God when it comes to my characters! It's frustrating and makes roleplaying less enjoyable when people control the dialogues and actions of my characters. I'm sure you'd be frustrated if it was the other way around too!
- If there's one thing that makes my shoulders grind, it's flawless characters who have no weaknesses whatsoever and only exist for romance. I'm sorry to say that I'm not a fan and don't intend to engage in roleplays with these kind of characters.
- I'm open to using multiple characters, including ones who make vague appearances to further the plot.
- OOC chats are one of my favourite aspects of roleplaying. I'm very open to utilising OOC to plan out and build the story and get to know other users.
Roleplay Suggestions
- The trip finally makes it out of the group chat - You don't really know someone until you either live with them or travel with them. A group of 6-8 friends decide to visit a few countries on their bucket list during Summer.
- Gods on Earth - The Greek Gods are very much still a thing, infiltrating everyday people who are unaware of how the world is still spinning due to their powers. They're stuck at work, ranging from political offices to coffee shops, pretending to not know centuries worth of eachothers' business, while managing their relationships with humans.
- Failing restaurant - Business isn't looking too good, but the staff are trying to pick up the pace so they can keep their morning routines of kitchen prep, meltdowns in the walk-in freezer and over the line arguments.
- Elite boarding school - Inheritances and trust funds galore, with the odd few scholarship students sprinkled in.
- Ghosted ✔✔ - A group of friends don't have the heart to remove their deceased friend from their group chat, dealing with continuous 'failure to send to X' messages for a whole year as they conversed and went about their lives. One day, their number is reconnected again, and all the messages have been left on 'read ✔✔'.
- Social climbers - Through the rise of social media, being a brand ambassador, influencer and media personality can do way more than put food on the table. An Instagram-worthy friend group try and navigate their lives and relationships while adjusting to a world where follower counts equal your worth, apology videos have to be made on stand-by and where friendship dates get re-labelled as 'collaborations.'
- Teen Wolf-inspired - A town crawling with supernatural creatures but everyone is under the radar.
- Hitmen - A group of 4-6 individuals with- questionable backgrounds get recruited as hitmen by an anonymous benefactor who requires them to eliminate every person on the list. The problem? These guys don't trust eachother and yet have to work as a team, cross off every name on the list while ensuring no trails lead back to them, and no deaths can be linked to eachother.
- Apocalypse - Zombies everywhere, scarce resources and scattered survivors.
While I struggle to keep up with a lot of fandoms (which explains the lack of fandom plots), I'm open to:
- Criminal Minds
- Death Note
- Gossip Girl
- Huntik
- Teen Wolf
- Winx Club
- Young Justice
1x1 roleplays
- The Baudelaire Affair - 1920s New York romance between a wealthy investment banker and a housemaid. Post-WWI and mid-Prohibition period.
- The Breakfast Club - Remastered and extended, with three new characters
- The Rise and Fall of Hartens - Medieval fantasy journey (involving romance) with a sheltered princess and a knight
- Veritas-Axel: Shipping Logs - Colleagues working for an airline and a logistics company. Features friendship, romance and darker backstories
