This isn't like your storybooks. It's been 150 years since the original Alice came to Wonderland, and things have changed. Teas and pills are being made from human, or "Oysters" as they're called here, emotions, sucked straight from the source through the floors of the Happy Hearts Casino, where "Everyone's a Winner!". The Queen of Hearts rules her land with an iron fist, and be careful not to upset her, lest it be "off with your head"! But there are those who reside in Wonderland who are part of the Resistance, and they've vowed to bring down the Queen, and those who follow her, at all costs. They rescue Oysters before they can be taken to the Casino and shelter them in an underground Library. Unfortunately, they are unable to return them home without the Ring of Wonderland, which has been lost for half a century. They do what they can to make the Oysters comfortable, hoping that, one day, Alice of Legend will return to save Wonderland, once and for all.
The Queen of Hearts and her court rule the land, and sit as the leaders of all Suits. Below them sit the Diamonds, who reside in and control the Happy Hearts Casino. The next in the hierarchy are the Clubs, who are the Priests and Priestesses of Wonderland and control the church, as well as preside over all ceremonies. Last, but not least, are the Spades, the highly trained assassins and warriors whose only orders are to protect the Queen and her assets at any and all costs. Together, these suits have formed a fairly solid oligarchy, but little do they know, there are traitors and conspirators in their midst, waiting for any sign of weakness to bring the tower of cards tumbling down.
On the outskirts of the city, a resistance has formed, and whispers that the Alice of Legend has appeared in Wonderland begin to spread throughout the forest. Are the rumors true? And if so, will this Alice prove able to bring down the Evil Queen of Hearts and the rest of her Suits?

So, this is a thread I've been wanting to start for a really long time. There was one I was in yeeeears ago that was really fun, and I thought it would be cool to try and start one up again! I have some more info about the ins and outs of the world, all of it being based off of the SyFy mini-series Alice. This is just a kind of dip into the general plot of the thread. There will be lots of room for OCs in this thread, but canon characters (Hatter, Queen of Hearts, Alice, etc.) will be first come, first served!
