Scholomance Academy, a grand structure in the center of the Sentinel City. Today, the academy receives countless students from all corners of Zenitharia. The students arrive on the grounds, greeted by its towering silver gates and the presence of the academy staff. Gathered within Scholomance’s massive courtyard the students look upon the stars that lead to the academy’s doors. Atop these stairs stood the headmistress and the staff of the academy. Beside the headmistress stood the Beastmaster of the school, Alistair. With her hands professionally folded behind her back and a smile on her face she speaks to Alistair. “This year will be different, right Alistair?” she was referring to a few…incidents that had occurred throughout the previous year. Her face still plastered with a smile as to not cause alarm to the other staff members and students she continues, “If you can’t control your desire for mischief I’ll have no choice but to remove you from the academy. Is that clear?” the last quip caused her smile to fade, a serious glance aimed towards Smiley – had it not been for his uncanny talent for taming beasts she would have gotten rid of him long ago.

The headmistress steps down, holding her hands up to quiet the crowd of students. “Welcome, you all have your reasons of being here but you all share one goal: to become hunters.” Her eyes would look to the horizon, the large white tower scaling the sky in the distance. “What you do with the knowledge you gain here is up to you but know we are here to pass our knowledge onto you.” The headmistress would continue her speech by introducing each teacher – who would respond with a bow or a wave so the students would know who they were. Once introductions were over with the headmistress would turn towards Alistair. “Your first test begins now. Alistair will observe your proficiency in combat.

With that the students are escorted to the academy’s beast pen, a coliseum structure with a variety of shapes and sizes. Each row of the coliseum’s seats were filled with students, the teachers sitting in the front row if any sort of intervention was needed. The headmistress and Smiley stood on the grounds of the arena, the headmistress handing Alistair the list of students before she ascends to the seating area – it was Smiley’s show now.

Location: In the middle of the arena, just jumped out of the way to let the monster have its fun

Overlooking the courtyard with the rest of the staff and headmistress, a young man stood at the top of the structure as he looked at the crowds of students. His light purple eyes scanned the area, crouching low as he rested arms on his legs. The dark purple almost black hair on his head swayed a bit in the slight breeze before he closed his eyes. He was thinking about what he was going to do, what kind of monsters he would send out towards the kids before them, oh the fun that would be had when this happens. A smile started to form on his lips, a faint snicker escaping his lips before turning his attention towards the one who ran the school. The headmistress herself, just from the sight of her, he could sense she wasn't happy. Of course, she wouldn't be happy, there were a few incidences in prior years where he sent out stronger monsters after the newer students. A tradition of seeing what humans were stronger and which were weaker.

He scoffed at their traditions. So is that what they were calling murder? Oh please, humans are murderous by nature, their ancestors killed for a larger number of reasons, most being very stupid, this wasn't different. Why Smiley was doing this because it was fun seeing what the children would do with the information he would give them. Not like these human kids are going to be any different. Who's really going to be that stupid to try and go against The King and the Goddess's towers? Many have tried and many have failed. He turned his head towards the headmistress, standing up fully, stopping at the current form's height of 6'6. His tongue sticking out of his mouth, "Maybe, depends on my mood." He said with his grin still plastered on his face. How cute, pretending to care about the humans who were still here and those who are going to die. Is that how humans try to separate themselves from the actual monsters of their race. Interesting, to say the least.

Of course, the headmistress continued speaking to him. Saying that she would kick him out if the incident happened again, with that, Smiley just grinned and laughed quietly. "Oh please. Who do you have that will replace me? Humans are too weak and the other monsters are cowards or take too long to control the monsters. Besides, I'm just helping in the slaughter of the human children. Making sure your little tradition lives up to its reputation." The inhuman man chuckled before his eyes shimmered. Smiley shifted his attention back to the crowd, looking at the kids still as the headmistress introduced herself and the staff before explaining what was going on. Preaching about the knowledge that will be placed in their heads in this place. 'You're not even going to be teaching the kids, so what the hell are you talking about?' He thought to himself, shifting his purple hues in her direction. His arms crossed before following the headmistress to the center of the coliseum.

From there, the headmistress stated what she needed to say before leaving the Beastmaster there with a list in hand. He blinked once and looked at the massive amount of students. Lambs to the slaughter. His lifted his gloved hands and looked at the parchment in his hands, seeing the number of people, "Ahh, so it's today's cattle. Well, I can already see half of these little fuckers bein' meals for my pets." Smiley teased, his smirk never leaving his face. He grabbed the tip of his hat and pulled off the head on his head and bowed, "As stated, I am Smiley. Not that it matters, must of you are most likely going to die so I'm not going to fully introduce myself. You all will be called in teams of three or four. Keep in mind, this isn't permanent, it just makes this tradition of yours to go a bit faster. Apparently slaughtering humans in bulk in frowned upon." He stated before placing his hat back on his head, shooting a glance towards the headmistress as he adjusted the hat. His eyes flared before pulling out the list.

"Now, let's begin. When I call your name, come down so you can meet your fate." Smiley said looking at the list as he scanned through to see who he wanted to call. Of course, before he could, a strange feeling fell over him. He placed a hand on his chest. He had felt this before, but why did he feel it? The only time he felt this was when she was around, he looked at the list carefully and looked through. Low and behold, her name was here. His eyes widen slowly. "Saikin?" He whispered quietly to himself, he shook his head. He had to make sure it was actually her. Did the headmistress really let her come to the school, only one way to find out. He cleared his throat and started calling the names he saw fit, of course, it was going to be at random. It would make things fun, but he was going to be careful about the monsters he released and the people he paired her with. 'Welp gotta improvise now.'

Smiley cleared his throat and spoke loudly, calling the four students who would be fighting the chosen monster. "Adrian Adler, Sven Granirdall, and Skagrim Gutbusta. Get your asses down here." He exclaimed before shifting his eyes to the sound of a gate opening behind him. A low rumbling growl escaped from escaped from the slow cranking gate followed by the sounds of stomping could be heard. "Oh yeah, to make this easier, I'll just explain it now. All you have to do is survive. If you can kill the monster then props to ya. If you can kill the monster or remain alive for five minutes, then you have passed. You should already know what happens if you lose." He chuckled grimly, his hand going near his mouth as his other hand twitched about. Smiley opened his large wings and flapped them hard, jumping into the air as a large Alpha Wyvern ran out and roared loudly.

Within the large crowds of students sitting in the coliseum, a young woman sat in the crowd. Her head was low with her hands resting on a strange weapon which sat on her lap. Her long hair was moved to her lap as well, that way the people around her wouldn't step on it, getting it dirty. Her fingers curled around the twisted metal and pulled it closer since she had her hair on her lap it kept the large dagger hidden. She just replayed the events that happened so far before getting to Scholomance. They weren't pretty. She shook her head quickly, trying to distract herself from the past. It was her secret, it happened. It was her fault it happened. But no one knows of it. So she was good. However, she felt what the headmistress said to the other within her head. Remembering why she was here. She wasn't here for the fighting or the training. While it would be nice to know how to control her powers, she was here because of the only person she considered family.

The dark skinned female jumped slightly when she heard the familiar voice booming into her ears. Her head rose slightly, the bangs covering half of her face shifted slightly with her movements. She kept her bangs in place, not wanting to show what she was hiding. She recognized the voice, a smile spreading on her lips, it was him. She remembered that voice. But she was worried, however, what if he didn't remember her? Fear started to course through her body, but she had to remain calm. She didn't want a repeat of what happened last time. She took a deep breath and listened to the man named Smiley spoke. A faint sigh escaped her lips, shaking her head slightly. "S-Same as al-always, s-so much c-cussing." The young woman said softly to herself. She listened to the instructions and what was going to be happening.

The young woman named Saikin took note of what was going to be happening. All she had to do was survive for five minutes with the rest of the people was going to be with and everything would be fine. Granted Saikin only has the prior training knowledge she had with Smiley and there was no guarantee she was going to do well in the fighting. Maybe she would do fine in healing others, that is if the monster they had to fight wasn't going to be difficult. Smiley wouldn't put any of the kids in the school with something danger....would he? Saikin gulped quietly at that thought, she just had to trust him. It was the only thing she could do in her position.

Among the group of teachers sitting in the teacher section of the coliseum. There stood a small girl wearing a short dark purple dress and simple black dress shoes. Her body was a dark brownish gray with stitches all over her body. Her hair was a dark blond color with a red hair bow off center from a tuft of hair in front of her face. She blinked her eyes and looked at the man standing in the middle of the coliseum. Her visible black hue just stared as she sighed mentally. Many would find it hard to believe this child wasn't actually a child, but a teacher in child form. She was only in this form because of her long trek getting to the school. She was going to be the new potion and Alchemy teacher and Smiley didn't really know she was there yet.

"We are here and just in time to see Smiley fuck up." "Ette, please be quiet." "Why would I? It's his fault we are like this in the first place." The voice argued. People would understand the young woman was arguing with someone. However, those same people would be concerned since no one was standing near the child she was calling Ette. Due to unfortunate incidences that happened, Clowette is a broken shell of her former self. She suffers from Multiple Personality Disorder and Schizophrenia, causing her to because she sees someone standing next to her and talking. In reality, she is just shifting through the two personalities. Clowette sighed before looking at the large area as Smiley called down the children and stated how things were going to be working.

She then turned her head towards the headmistress, blinking her eyes once, even though she only had one working eye in her socket. The other was just a hole. "Are you sure this is a good idea? Y-You know Smiley is....special." She said with concern in her tone. She was worried for the children. She didn't want most of them to be killed just because Smiley was bored or something. Were their precautions just in case or was it a free for all? Clowette wanted to know. Well, the school did have a few healers, so maybe things wouldn't be as bad....hopefully.

Approaching the enormous structure that had been in the distance, a completely cloaked male had wandered his way out from the very edge of the Silent Forest. With his hood over his head to keep his own identity hidden and a small poster in his hand that held the picture of this particular structure and nothing more than the words 'Scholomance' as well as underneath saying 'The Sentinel City of Samor'; the hooded male simply continued on his way forward towards the massive building in the distance before coming to a complete halt as he came to witness the sight of many different transportations arriving from each direction; all heading in the same direction to arrive at this place called 'Scholomance'. Arching a brow underneath his hood, the cloaked male simply continued on his way to approach the structure. In one hand, he held onto the poster, while the other held onto a large staff that had a round hole at the very top of it and four rings around the hole itself. Stomping the bottom end of the staff with each step to assist him on his walking, although it had taken quite some time; eventually the hooded male came to the very entrance of the building only to find many young adults as well as older adults standing around in a large group to await for something.

Right as he had prepared to question one of the people in the area, the sudden sound of a feminine voice echoing over the crowd had brought his own dark golden hues over in the direction of the voice. Listening as to the woman speak before the many people who stood around and called them as 'students' as well as stating that they were all there to learn and do whatever they wished with the knowledge they gained here; the hooded male would only take a glimpse down towards the poster he held once more for another moment or so. This place had been searching for all this time was an academy, whatever the case was; the male simply crumbled up the poster before tossing it away to let it follow along with wind before returning his full attention to the woman before him and the many other students. Listening further until it was stated that the first test would begin and that the man standing beside her would be watching the proficiency in combat; the hooded male only continued to arch a brow before he began to follow along with the large group to head straight into yet another structure, this one in particular being a large round room with a circular seating area around one open ground area that had many large rocks as cover as it seemed to be in the way.

As many of the 'students' had taken their seats, this particular hooded male had decided to take his own seat in one of the back rows to observe the mortals of how they would be acting about this whole 'testing' thing. Sitting there with his own body leaned forward and his elbows resting onto his knees as well as his fingers interlaced with one another in front of his lower portion of his face; his staff had rested against his right shoulder while he began to overhear how the man named as Alistair called out three particular names in a rather rude manner. Although at the time being, he paid no mind to it; since this particular male was the one speaking, just as when the woman from earlier was speaking; the rings around the staff that the hooded male normally never paid any mind to, had began to rise from their position around the large circular spot on the staff itself. While the rings began to levitate, although it wasn't much at the time being let alone earlier, they had each began to give off a hint of red in their glow but yet only stopped once the trio had decided to make their presence known in the middle of the arena.

Moments while awaiting for the trio to make their own presence known, once they had done so; and the creature was finally released to begin the testing; the sight of the alpha wyvern making itself known was quite the sight that was unexpected. Widening his gaze from underneath his hood; the male had almost prepared to stand and intercept the battle in thoughts that bringing such a creature was too dangerous but yet halted himself at the risk of realizing if he had dared do such a thing, he would probably be making a dire mistake to reveal what and who he was just yet.

Throughout most of the morning and even part of the day near noon, a small childish male had been in a rather oversized room while he sat at a desk that clearly was not for the size of how he was. However, with his chair raised up to it's highest point; he was able to reach fro whatever he might've needed and even able to reach for the things that were farthest from him on the desk just at the reach of having to lean forward. Sitting at the desk, the childish male was actually doing quite the large amount of paperwork on figuring out who would be in the large room he was in at the moment for the rest of the year. The room in particular he was in was known as a classroom and the desk in particular he sat at was actually the teacher's desk; and although this childish boy looked young and inexperienced, he was actually the teacher of this class known for Advance Combat and Weapons Crafting. Scratching the back of his head as he sat there, rather than wearing anything particularly proper; he wore a pink long sleeved shirt that was clearly too large for him and small white pajama shorts; just because they were comfortable.

Scratching the back of his head as the two cat-like ears above his head twitched with each scratch, the childish boy soon enough gave a heavier sigh as he sat back in his seat before spinning in a quick circle for a moment. "Mehhh...Why did Sylvia have to leave me all this work. Blech, I'm going to go." With that, the childish male simply hopped himself off from his seat before stretching both of his arms over his head lightly for a mere moment. Knowing well enough why his paperwork was needed to be done, he still preferred to go meet the students that he would possibly be teaching for the year rather than just looking at their names. Simply with that, the young male had just skipped his way over towards the exit of the room; making sure to grab a rather large white coat with them that was once again, far too large for him. Keeping the coat over his body to keep his shorts and oversized long sleeved shirt hidden; he went on his way out of the classroom while wandering the halls with his coat dragging across the floor behind him.

Knowing probably all too well that the testing had probably already began by now, the childish male had simply began to sprint his way down the halls to reach the arena room as quickly as he possible could. This teacher's name was known as Ryosuke and probably the only race of Neol that was actually a staff member in the academy of Scholomance.

Taking mere moments to actually reach the end of the halls to finally end up reaching the arena, the sudden instant that Ryosuke had stepped through the wooden doorway into the arena's seating area; the sudden sight and sound of the alpha wyvern roaring had nearly caused the childish male to fall back in utter shock of unexpectedness. Gasping at the sight of the large creature that was released by none other than Alistair, the childish male had made sure to quickly find a seat at the closest edge to keep a full lookout on the new students to see how they do in this battle.

It was somewhat of a trek for the two to get to the Scholomance, but it wasn't anything for the hulking brute of an ork Skargrim. He shrugged his extra cargo who was sleeping on his back after such a long walk from the campground to the academy somewhat farther behind, as its tallest spires rose over the horizon. "Oi oi, geddup." He felt some shifting around, and Anne woke up. "Wh.. What the hell do you want?" She asked grumpily. "Ahm gonna set ya down so you can see da fing up ahead." He quickly shrugged off one of his straps, earning him a slight squeal. He snickered a little, before gripping the other strap firmly, and whipping the human backpack. The backpack was essentially just a seat strapped to his back with a few buckles to keep its passenger fastened to its seat, which was just a few strips of leather that wouldn't let you slide through. He set the backpack on the ground, and unbuckled the belt keeping her in place. He gave her a hand, and lifted her to her feet. "This it?" "Yeah. Let's get something to eat first. I'm starving. Did you eat anything?" "Squig." "Ugh, that's gross. Don't you eat anything else." "Nah, da 'umie food iz gross. Only keep it 'round fer you." Remembering something, he patted around his plate mail, finding a small pouch. He presented it in one hand. "Eat 'n walk." He packed the seat away by having it hang off the side of his armor, almost like a strange leather ornament, or flag. It only took a good few minutes to find where they were supposed to be. It was a giant building, in the middle of a city. Easy enough. He got through the gates with a few odd glances, to which he replied through his teeth "Piss off." A little bit more walking through a set of stairs, they were greeted by more doors, and a group of people he plowed through easily. He stood there, half listening to the person talking, before being led to a coliseum thing. It wasn't long before he was able to finally sit down, in which he shut his eyes almost immediately.

When Skargrim, awoke, he found was mostly bored on the bench, and flanked by Anne, who was fiddling with... something. He really couldn't tell whatever it was, and didn't care. He was ready to beat his chest, smash his choppa into a skull, and claim a few trophies. But he kept his cool when Anne put her hand on his shoulder. "Hey, you're good right?" He grunted. "Yeah, good." "You sure? I mean, you seem pretty tense. You ready?" He felt his somewhat blurred past burning his very soul. Sleep was not welcome to him, no matter how little of it he got. "Wot?" "You're fighting a monster in a cage with a few other people. Don't kill them." "Oh. I'z don' like fightin' in cages." He made up. He really didn't need the little girl to watch over him. He was always fine on his own anyways. "All right. You just hang tight." He looked back towards the exit of the strange place that Anne had led them to. Nothing felt right about this place. It felt like it was pressing down upon him, it being a large presence. He never understood that sorta thing, but he just didn't like the feeling of more than 10 humans in an area. He has always been taught to stay away, or bring boyz to oven the odds. He was just in a room chock full of them, and he was sitting next to a few.

Stirring in his seat, he almost got up until he heard his name called. "...Granirdall, and Skagrim Gutbusta. Get your asses down here." "Go Skar, you're up." "Finally. Mork'll help me now." He patted Anne's shoulder as he got up to face a monster down at the giant cage of entertainment he knew for the longest time as a "coliseum." Nothing of this wasn't anything he wasn't used to, but he was very much prepared. "Dragginz. Eazy gits dey are."

Last time she remembered being awake was when Skargrim was patting out a fire with his bare hands, and watching him yip like a little puppy before she fell asleep. She didn't dream, for she was simply too tired to have her troubles plague her while she rested. But just like she fell asleep, she woke up on her own. Her back was warm, and she was swaying somewhat. Her back was always warm, it was just something that she wasn't used to. But most of all, she was uncomfortable. Orks didn't really understand the amenities of a bed or chair, or a home even. It was always "ADD MORE SPIKES!" or "PUT MORE DAKKA ON IT!" She mentally sighed. Maybe he would get it one day. Only after a few minutes of simply resting and wallowing in her thoughts, she felt Skargrim abruptly stop.  "Oi oi, geddup." This again. She started to get ready for the process of getting out of her perch as the black knight began to take off the other strap and explain where they were. "Ahm gonna set ya down so you can see da fing up ahead." She was finally set down on the stone path, her legs sprawled out in front of her, the grogginess finally starting to part from her eyes. She looked behind her, where a large grandiose building stood. Skargrim reached out a hand to help her to her feet. It wasn't like he wasn't trying. She was in awe of the building, but was interrupted when the ork asked "This it?" She thought of the type of architecture of the building, they had made a few mistakes before, it not matching the style describe to them. "Yeah. Let's get something to eat first. I'm starving. Did you eat anything?" "Squig." "Ugh, that's gross. Don't you eat anything else." "Nah, da 'umie food iz gross. Only keep it 'round fer you." Again, it wasn't like he wasn't the most unpleasant person to be around. What she heard from him, others of his race were much more cruel and mean than he would ever be for the most primitive of reasons. It baffled her, the type of things the orks would do to each other for the simplest of things. She constantly had to look at the brightside of things, since most everything had been downhill from where she started.

Suddenly, Skargrim thrusted a hand at her. "Eat 'n walk." She grumbled a little, and picked at the stale bread inside. "Did you bring any syrup Skar?" But he didn't seem to be listening, and was walking in some sort of a trance. She somewhat lead him to what seemed to be the proper place for the students to sign up. Except there wasn't any pampered secretary waiting for them, with a long line of people standing about in alphabetical order. Instead, she was greeted with the smell of grit, and a conglomeration of people of various races gathering in front of what seemed to be the headmistress, from what she remembered from previous experience with private schools. She gave a short, curt speech greeting everyone, before she led them to a arena, with a coliseum style spectator area. Skargrim immediately barreled over some others to get to some raised seats. Anne could only trail in his wake. Immediately after sitting down, Skar stretched a little, or a much as he could in his heavy armor, and started to lean back. At this point, Anne had rolled her eyes and tried to pay attention to the speaker up front, who was standing jauntily, and somewhat uninterested in the crowd that gathered, if that made any sense.

He announced what everyone was going to do, and what exactly was going to happen. Skar was snoring somewhat loudly, so she had to jostle him to remind him to shut up so she could listen. A bit of something dropped from under the bench as well when he shifted to sleep more comfortably. She inspected it, and to her surprise, it was a pipe with things on it. Monitoring maybe? It looked really old with the rust on it. She tried pressing the buttons, and found that it did nothing. There was some sort of connector piece on one end of it, and a small grate on the other end. Incredibly confused as to what it was, she kept prodding it to find out what exactly did. It was then Skargrim snorted a little, and his eyes floated. He looked around a little wildly, and put a white grip on his choppa. She put a hand on his arm.  "Hey, you're good right?" He grunted. "Yeah, good." "You sure? I mean, you seem pretty tense. You're ready right?" He relaxed a little, and placed his hand on his lap. "Wot?" "You're fighting a monster in a cage with a few other people. Don't kill them." "Oh. I'z don' like fightin' in cages." She looked at him with concern. Clearly he was hiding something, but she really feel the need to press him.

"...Granirdall, and Skagrim Gutbusta. Get your asses down here." The speaker announced. "Go Skar, you're up." Skargrim rose with ease, and muttered something under his breath. He hesitated, and looked down at her, patting her shoulder a little. She watched as a few other contestants rose and started down towards the arena where a large beast screeched, sending a chill into her bones. But she felt safe, as a few of the others that were called seemed like they could take the dragon on their own, or have had a little experience fighting, seeing that they had a good collection of armor or prosthetic limbs.

Seating himself close to the edge of the arena, a red-haired individual stayed near Saikan, keeping a close on the girl. This man would push his glasses up, wearing a strange skin-suit, that seemed to be technology in itself. The male would look at the recordings inside of one of his four dynamo's, the other three acting as a seat and foot-stool. "Hmm.....Results are still inconclusive about the girl.....Seventy two different race variants put up, and none of them match.....curious, very curious indeed..." He said, before making the device float up, as the fight began. It would begin recording the fight, as the Alpha Wyvern made his appearance.

"So they throw students against monsters, and if they survive, they are let it.....barbaric, but at least it shows that only the strongest survive." Alex said, cocking his head to the side. "It is good to see that, even if it is just another subspecies, that there are teachers in this school that are willing to make the hard decisions, if it means making these students strong....most of them look unblooded." Alex said, watching the coming fight with great interest. "Well, let's see what test subjects they bring forward....let the experiment begin."

Sitting near Takara was a young female, covered up by concealing clothing, in the fashion of the humans age old shinobi (assassin outfit). She appeared in deep meditation, sitting in the lotus stance, eyes closed. She smelled of blood, and had a strange dark aura around her- Not evil, but not good either. The weapons she carried on her were specifically designed for killing demons and angels, and they maximized her dexterity and finesse, to make up for her stopping power. She was built like an assassin, and she played the part well- In the farthest corner possible, as silent as she could.

When the fight began, her eyes opened, revealing a pair of purple eyes, scanning the field. She would then take the Kami Ikiryō, before silencing open her own palm with it. Pouring blood onto the blade, the line going along it would grow a malevolent red. She would then place her hands together, still dripping with blood, before speaking. "Cutting wind, god of my clan, god of my people, I ask you hear my words- Grant that my hands be steady, my aim be true, and my feet swift. And should the worst come to pass, grant me forgiveness." She recited, before turning her attention to the center, eyes like a hawk watching prey.

Sylvia Rowen

Scholomance Headmistress.jpgAs the headmistress heads for the colosseum's seating area, she would have a sly smirk on her face. She knew that Saikin was on that list, even knew the odd connection she had with him. While she didn't know the specifics there was a strange bond between them, one that an expert magic-user like herself could sense. Sylvia's eyes would pass over each student before she took her seat. Beside her would be a small stitched up girl talking to herself, a trait that Sylvia was used to.

Sylvia would turn her head towards Clowette who questioned her decision of allowing Smiley to do this again. "No, it's not...but can you think of a better way to test the students in a controlled and mostly safe environment?" In truth, she knew that having Smiley around was a terrible idea but as he said, he was the only one who could tame these beasts and use them for training purposes. "I've already warned him...Though he didn't take me seriously. Not that he takes anyone that isn't a monstrosity like HIM." The dark-haired woman would glance over to the arena and see the Alpha Wyvern bolt from its caged cavern towards the trio that stood on the arena's flat ground. Two of the students hadn't even bothered to make their moves even as the wyvern came stomping out. The headmistress would slightly rise from her seat, "Damn that Nightmare..." she would growl under her breath. If it weren't for Smiley and his antics her job would probably much easier. For now though she held off on interrupting, hoping to see what the students would do.

The large Wyvern lets out a mighty roar as it collapses onto all fours, its mouth starting drip with bits of fire as it builds up in its throat. The creature would open its maw wide open and a gush of flame would fly towards the trio, two of which would seem to be standing there unresponsive to the threat at hand. Sylvia would stand up fully now, the gem in her right hand glowing as the earth in front of the dumbfounded students would rise and create a barrier of earth to protect them. She was not pleased, "If you two don't move I won't intervene next time and you'll be nothing but chunks of meat!" She didn't care much for the kind that would freeze in their place out of fear. There was no time or patience when it came to dealing with cowardly weak students, they didn't have a place in the academy. The Stone Sentinel's generosity and patience were wearing thin and when that happened the consequences were...unpredictable. She sat back down, left thumb absent-mindedly stroking the deactivated purple stone embedded in the palm of her right hand. "As for the rest of you, if you don't think you can handle this test, it'd be best for you to leave now." she spoke up once more, sounding much more irritated abd fierce. A handful of students would hesitantly rise from their seats and exit the colosseum.

Out of the corner of her eye Sylvia would notice the shore-statured Noel male make his way into the arena, a small smile coming to her face. "I'm impressed Ryosuke, you managed to stay at work for a whole...thirty minutes!" she would chuckle slightly as she teased the boy. She pats the seat next to her, inviting him to take a seat next to her. and watch the fight before them.

Nyla Carwell

The Mistress of Aura had a soft smile on her face throughout the ceremony, it was always warmed her heart to see how many actually wanted to become hunters – regardless of their own personal reasons. She hoped that what the children learn here will one day save their lives or the lives of countless others. The staff and students were lead to the colosseum on the outskirts of the academy's grounds, in a secluded area surrounded by nothing. The monsters that Smiley tames here were far from the city so that if any were to escape captivity, they wouldn't wreak havoc on the citizens of Samor. Once seated among the other teachers of the academy Nyla watches as Smiley and the headmistress speak below and soon enough three students would be called down to the arena to face a monster chosen by Smiley. Nyla's ice-blue hues would narrow as Smiley promptly jumped out of the way and the Alpha Wyvern charges its way to the center of the field. That monstrous creature always found some way to perverse its lessons or the academy's traditions; he was, unfortunately, a necessary part of the staff.

There was a tension in her body that wouldn't go away – something she always felt when spectating the fights. She hated these traditions, there were moments when she was glad for her role here at the academy and other times where she was glad she could be of use. Her talents have saved many students from horrible fates, but, unfortunately she could not save everyone. Most of the scenarios that involved injured students were usually created by the sadistic monstrosity known as Alistair; to say that relations between her and it were strained would be an understatement.

There were frightened whispers amongst the students in their seats as Mistress Rowen mentions them leaving, some wondered what horrid beast they would fight while others worried about being too weak to be of use to anyone on the arena ground. Several actually rose from their seats and left, probably believing that they were just not ready to risk their life just to become a hunter. In a way this was good, the academy did not want to spill blood if not necessary.

The teacher would turn her head towards the students that sat behind the, a girl looked...happy to be there and a boy in a strange outfit would be murmuring something to himself and watching the girl with bangs over her eyes rather strangely. Her blue eyes would squint as she tries to identify the student but it seems as if he were a new arrival. The strange contraptions that floated around him made her curious. As to not seem rude for staring she would simply smile and wave at the two before turning her attention back to the fight at hand. Her hands would clasp together over her heart as the headmistress protects two of the students from the incoming flame of the scale-kin, the third seeming quite capable and responsive to his summons. "Please keep them safe..." she whispered a small prayer for their safety before continuing to watch the fight unfold.

Alenhiem stood silently with the other teachers to greet the new students. He had spent hours that morning debating if he should've brought his axe with him. In the end he decided that to greet the students it wouldn't be needed. With a raised eyebrow he looked from the students to the headmaster as he listened to her rip into the teacher known as Alistair. He narrowed his eyes suddenly wishing that he had his Wolfbane with him. He listened silently to the speech given by the headmistress.

When they began to make their way to the coliseum Alenhiem made a detour to his class room to retrieve his weapon. With Wolfbane in hand Alenhiem proceeded to the teacher's section of the arena. The axe was comically large compared to him as in his current form Alenhiem was only five and a half feet tall. While the axe itself was thirteen feet tall and the blade easily large enough to cleave a building in one swing.  Alenhiem stood with the child teacher and the headmistress watching Alistair's speech. It was curious to him that the man introduced himself as Smiley and he assumed Alistair was either his real name or an alias. He spied the odd boy staring at the girl who seemed to be shy and narrowed his eyes. "Head mistress if this results in a blood bath may I remove that man's head?"

Cassidie entered the school grounds with the other students and looked around. After everything she had gone through, loosing her family and being shunned for being a witch by everyone else except for that one person, she didn't know how she had made it to the academy. She had heard big speeches before so she didn't give much attention to the head mistress's speech. She did however notice a creepy looking boy that looked like some kind of nerd. She also noticed he was busy stalking a girl. She tried to ignore it feeling that it wasn't really her place. 'Surely if he turned out to be one of those weirdos who tried to force themselves on people the teachers would teach him a lesson right?'

Cassidie held her book in her hands as she followed the group of students to the coliseum and when her little familiar crawled out of the collar of her shirt and laid across her shoulders she gently pet it's head. She took a seat a couple rows back from where the girl sat as well as that creepy boy. When she saw him bugging her she stood and sat next to the girl. "Uh floating weirdo why don't you leave the girl alone yeah? I'm pretty sure you've got more important things to worry about." She smiled at the girl and held her hand out. "I'm Cassidie"

The Shattered Omen held firmly in his grip in a battle-ready stance, yet it hadn't registered within Sven's mind of the Alpha Wyvern's gush of flames homing in to their positions. With only a few seconds left to react, the Rogue Knight instinctively held a free hand in the air as a blue bubble enveloped his entire body. The Repel spell, courtesy of the Titan Grip, was made for warriors defending against the arcanery of various mages, not fireballs coming from the bellows of an Alpha Wyvern, and so Sven braced himself for a world of fiery pain. A second had passed and a blast of heat pushed against the fringes of Sven's armor, although it was nothing he couldn't handle. It seemed that an earthly barrier was erected right before the wall of flame could hit, with it coming a series of reprimands coming from the Headmistress herself--she was not pleased, obviously. Indeed, the Headmistress' sayings were right and true, hadn't she intervened then they would have been burned into ashes. It was a good thing that he had his helmet, otherwise it would have been a rather humorous sight to see a near seven-foot giant redden with embarassment.

Although the humor would've been lost almost immediately, as mortification turned into anger at his sensing of the undertones behind her voice--Did she think, that even for a second, that the Rogue Knight stood in fear, of the Wyvern? He can be described as many things, be it a rogue, knight, bastard child, oathbreaker, even a fool, but a coward was not among them. The earthly wall collapsed, and there the monster was; an enraged expression etched onto its face. The fireball hadn't worked, and so it had decided to take a more, direct approach. Now in all fours, the wyvern was engaged in a reckless charge towards the trio; each step a tremor that shook the ground, snapping and biting at the air ferociously.

Sven stood firm and unphased, the Shattered Omen poised to slice. "The plan here is rather simple," A low rumble emitted from the former knight, not once taking off sights from the main objective as he said so. Nearer and nearer the did wyvern come, the gaping maw of the creature promised death and suffering to those caught in its fangs, yet he did not budge an inch. Sven had thought of a plan. Whether or not it would work, he didn't know, but it was better than nothing. Channeling all his power into the Titan Grip, the gauntlets glowed a brightly yellow; signifying the preparation of Storm Hammer. Its concussive bolt would do absolutely nothing to the Alpha, extremely tough hide and all-- provided if it hit anywhere else. Though, a direct Storm Hammer to its face...

"Just follow my lead," With speed unlike that of his size and stature, he took off running--right towards the direction of the charging monstrosity. But just as it seemed that a head-on collision was imminent, did Sven strike the air with his left hand, a large bright-yellow ball of energy emitted from his fist, dead-set for the wyvern's face.

His aim was true, and so did the Storm Hammer halt the wyvern's advance. Momentarily blind, a surprised growl came out of its mouth as it reeled baxk. It worked. A small victory, but the battle was far from over. "Now, we strike!"

The first thing on his mind wasn't the fact that there was a wall of flame eagerly rushing forwards to meet him, consuming the ground under it, but the fact that the ground had retaliated upwards to prevent it from getting any closer to him. Grumbling, he picked his massive axe-like Choppa, and began to scale the wall. He wanted to just barrel through the fire, but was forced to hang back. He heard a call, more of a taunt from behind him. "If you two don't move I won't intervene next time and you'll be nothing but chunks of meat!" "Ain' me." He said to himself, as he finished his plant, grab, plant combo to get to the top of the wall. He saw 'da horny git' below him start to act, speaking to the other down there. He barely heard him from the top of the erected foundation and the din of the wannabe dragon, but the best he could make out was "Just follow my lead,"

Pfft, like that was going to happen. Skargrim could barely contain himself as he watched him rush. He crouched down, waiting for whatever it might be that he was doing to be over so he could pummel the wyvern's face in. He was very surprised when the large figure used magic to smash the dragon from a short distance. Magic, everything the black plated warrior stood against. Whatever works. The flying rat was disoriented, reeling back in pain. He caught a rejoice from the other warrior. Now it was his turn. "WAAAAAAAAGGH!!!" Skargrim cried as he leaped from the top of the earthen wall to the wyvern's head, grappling its neck and wrestling for control. The wyvern however wasn't having any of it, as it began to thrash about, trying to fling off the green and black passenger riding on it calmly. Or as calmly as waving around a giant axe while screaming bloody death qualified as.

With this in mind, Skar decided that maybe he should do a little more than scream and distract the dragon. He dropped his Choppa, as it flew off and embedded itself into a nearby wall. Skar started shimmying his way up and up the wyvern's neck. He was able to climb up to and grasp the ears, and begin to ball up his fists in a white knuckle grip, and batter the top of the head of the wyvern. The wyvern, thinking quickly, or as quickly as it could with a very angry greenskin on it, finally was able to fling him off by smashing its head, along with him into the ground. A very angry green crater was left on the ground, leaving a wyvern with a headache.

Sebastian

'The Scholomance Academy.' Sebastian thought grandly in his head. 'Let's see what this place is about.' It had been quite a journey, through many desserts and forests and towns, but he had finally made it. Before him stood a great mansion of a place that spanned far in every direction. It had a majestic air around it, extraordinary magic power coming from it, and it looked as if a king resided there. Finally, surrounding the fenced and gated school, was the city of Somar.

"Go to a school in Somar. It is where you will train from now on. I know your strong, your parents will lives within you. Make them proud, Sebastian." The last word of his late master echoed through his mind as the screeching gates to this magnificent school opened up, providing these new students with the tools and knowledge to pursue monster hunting.

There were many new arrivals, from all different places and all different races. On his journey here, he had asked about this place. It isn't a place for the weak, was the general consensus. They test their students in rather... unconventional ways, although no one would share more. This place was made to produce warriors and hunters, and if that wasn't you, you'd surely perish. At least that's what he had gathered.

As soon as the gates opened, the grounds filled quickly. Before following suit, Sebastian fluffed out his dark brown cloak, put on his mask, and through on his hood. 'No need to be seen yet, there will be plenty of time for introductions I'm sure.'

Sebastian stepped through and into the school grounds. The courtyard in front of the school was fully enclosed and much more beautiful than the rest of Solar. Stepping through the threshold, Sebastian felt the air get heavier, less pollution and more pleasant smells followed. Soon the mass of students formed around a the front of the school, where they were silenced and greeted by a woman standing in front of many different looking people. After announcing herself as headmistress, she introduced each teacher. Sebastian was somewhat impressed and somewhat skeptical. Amidst the teachers that we're presented, some were dastardly looking, as if they were born on a battlefield. Others looked like mere children. But Sebastian knew that they must have been here for some reason, so he kept an open mind and observed on.

A few teachers stood out among the rest. One being a small girl, with grey-ish skin and scarring/stitches all over. She also seemed to have one eye, one being bright and the other black, but it was hard to see from where he was. She was also the Alchemy and Potions teacher, and Sebastian had an aptitude for mixing just the right amount of ingredients. He hoped they would meet in the future.

Another teacher that caught his eye was the one standing beside the Headmistress. Sebastian hadn't caught his name, but he got a strange feeling when looking at him. Smiling, a big toothy grin. But not the type of grin for when you hear a joke. No this was a more pure, truly amused smile, an evil smile. It sat uncomfortable with him, but he didn't think much of it. With his past and some of the things he had to do, that he had enjoyed doing, he had no room to judge another.

Soon as the introduction were made, the new students were told to make their way the the 'Beast Pit'. Located a bit far from the town, probably for safety reasons. Following the flow of peers towards the coliseum like structure, Sebastian had an idea of what was about to take place. Before entering he took a side step to check everything.

Sebastian looked through his mask at the students packing into the coliseum. He took out his dagger, inspecting the blade. Next he reached for his bow. Made from elven metals and crafted by his people, everytime he see the string back, he felt closer to his people. Even though he had the look of human, he was half elf. Testing the bow and inspecting a few arrows he was satisfied. Finally, he reached into his pocket, feeling the monocle between his finger. He was prepared for anything now.

Taking seats around a pit, the staff of Scholomance stayed on the outer edge, backs to the student. Headmistress and another one, the one that unsettled him, stood in the middle of the pit.

They spoke to one another before they addressed the mass in front of them. He said his name again, Smiley. 'Pretty accurate name.' The masked man thought. They started explaining how you got accepted into the school. No academic tests or puzzles. Survival was the test. The faces around him had a range of emotions from excited to worried to just blank. Either kill the beast in front if you, or survive for five minutes. 'So this is what they meant by 'unconventional'...' Sebastian chuckled quietly. They were sending these poor fools to the grave.

After the initial explanation was giving, few people left, though many were uneasy. After the first four students headed into the pit, they released the beast. An Alpha Wyvern stomped out. It was a vicious looking creature. There were gasps, and a few more people left. 'Thinning the herd. Better this way than through bloodshed.' Sebastian thought to himself.

Observing the students that appeared on the field, it wasn't looking good. Shock factor was a huge part of it, they weren't prepared for such a battle. The Wyvern charged up his fire ball, spitting it quicker than the students could react. Before it could engilulf them in flames, the Headmistress intervened. Hoisting an earth wall to block the attack. 'Thank god they don't just let them die.' After a quick scolding, the Headmistress went back to the panel of teachers.

After another minute of not moving, Sebastian thought they oughta just leave. From where he was, they didn't seem that tough and were doing nothing as the beast approached. Suddenly, one of the students, an amoured knight by the look of it, darted much faster than he should have been able to. Running full force to the Wyren, at first all Sebastian thought was suicide. But then, there was a golden glow, and the knight bashed the Wyren with it. Seemingly it was only staggered, another student, this one clearly an orc, took a shot at the beast. After climbing it and pounding on it, he toppled off, unfortunately not cause any damage.

Still, to come in direct contact with this beast and live was a feat in and of itself. 'Maybe they aren't so bad after all...' Sebastian thought as he took his mask off, and using his monocle to get a better view. As barbaric as this may seem, it was a good test, and an entwining one at that. Until he would have to go up there...

Standing there at the entrance into the large arena where the test had been taking place, the childish male had continued to blink as his only visible dark blue gaze had remained locked upon the large creature that practically stood there preparing to attack the trio that was in the pit. Moments right after as the large wyvern built up it's flames and soon enough shot it right out towards the trio at first; in his thoughts, he had believed that these new students were going to be the first to be taken off the list for this new years students. However, rather than allowing them to turn into nothing more than a crisp; the immediate sight of a barrier of solid earth surrounding them had been the only thing to keep them protected. Right at that very moment, a familiar female voice had echoed throughout the very coliseum itself, directing his gaze over towards the sound of the voice; it had been none other than Sylvia herself stating to those in the pit to get themselves together or she'd simply allow them to be killed on the spot. Clearly enough, in her voice; the headmistress was rather irritated with how the new students were taking this whole test as the very fact of what the test was had even soon began to thin out the crowds of students in the room. Scratching the back of his head with the sleeve of his overly large white coat at the sight of this, he soon brought his final attention back onto Sylvia once more, wondering if what she was saying was the best choice of action or not.

Finally though, the instant she had directed her gaze over towards the young Neol, both of his own ears would perk up as his eyes widened at the very fact that he had been spotted in the very same room rather than finishing up the paperwork he was supposed to be doing. Listening as she called out to him and easily realized he would not do what he was supposed to be doing and was only working for the amount of time of thirty minutes or so; his own cat-like ears would lower to the sides of his head in shame as he began to approach the seat that he was welcomed towards. Taking a seat next to the very headmistress, the sight of him compared to the seat had clearly shown how much shorter he was compared to many others as sat completely back in the soft cushions of the chair making sure to let his feet hang off the front while he kicked them back and forth lightly and playfully. Holding onto the very front edge of the seat, he watched as how the trio did against the large wyvern with interest; wondering what type of fighting styles each one of them used, just so that he was going to be able to get a hang for which student was going to require more training than the others and which were needed to put through more advanced lessons than others.

As the battle progressed, watching as to how one of the trio had decided to go for the full out charge assault forward; the violet haired male only sat there with a slight tilt of his head on how dangerous of a tactic that one of them had decided to go with. Rather than giving a full out comment about the tactic, the young Neol simply raised his right hand to his mouth before slipping out his hand from the sleeve to nibble onto his index finger in interest of how the students were going to take care of this opponent of theirs. Continuing in the battle, as the second that decided to charge forward did an even much more reckless approach by practically trying to battle with the wyvern with his own arms; Ryosuke could only tilt his head in confusion on the idea of what was being planned before him. Turning his head ever so slightly towards the headmistress while he continued nibbling on his index finger, he constantly shifted his attention between her and the battle unfolding before him. "Miss Sylvia, do you believe these students will be able to honestly get anywhere with this fight? What if they die? If none of them pass, we'll have practically no students this year." As he spoke, by the end of his sentence; his gaze would fully return to the fight to see if the trio let alone any of the students will be able to complete this test properly.

"DAT'S ZOGGIN' IT! DAT DRAGGIN' IS GOIN' DOWN!" Skargrim exclaimed, struggling to pull himself out of the ork sized crater that had just perfectly melded to his shape. "GNN, HNN, Ugh. Mehdik." Skargrim said, defeated. However, the last of the trio of students had other plans on mind, as his squat form had looked around fervently, and then made mad dash to revive the downed ork.  "Oi! Get up you! We have things to do!" With a grunt, he was able to yank Skargrim out by his tusks. "Zoggin dorfs. Ah'm dis close ta chukkin ya at da draggin." He tried to squeeze an invisible bean between his fingers. "Ha! Be glad I got you out of there greenskin!"  "Can it ya zoggin' grot."

With that, the two ran to the side of the horned knight, who seemed to be recovering from the blow he dealt to the wyvern. "Awight, i'z got a plan dat IZN'T 'fowllah me', cawz dat plan wuz fulla wif holes. 'Ere's wot we do." The wyvern bellowed, and prepared another blast of fire, rearing it's head back. "I SAID CAN IT YA ZOGGIN' GROT!" Skargrim yelled in retaliation, pulling a elven sling crossbow, made from 'da ded 'ard panzee wood,' otherwise known as Seeds of Avarice. Incredibly expensive, yet incredibly tough. Tough enough to be accepted into greenskin society no less. Anyways, the wyvern was pinged right in the throat, causing it to choke a little, forcing it to spit out globules of flame. " 'Nywayz, we'z aktually pelt it from da range, an' wen it getz stunned enuf, we move in for da kill AS A TEEM. Goddit?" The dwarf scrunched his eyebrows together, half trying to decrypt the ork's words, and half trying to see the flaws in his plan. "Jus' a question, I don't have a ranged weapon." "Erm... Use ya famed strength den. Yoo'z dorfs dun have necks! Yoo'r unkillyble! Jus' do you dorflin'." "That doesn't make any sense, but I'll see what I can do." The dwarf then turned to stone, at first, very shocking, but then grinned and gave them a thumbs up. "Let's do this my friends!" said the dwarf-golem, in a deeper, richer voice.

Sven took a split-second to relapse all the things the Greenskin had said to him. His mind deciphered past the Ork's heavily guttural accent, and translating them into coherent, intelligible words the Rogue Knight can understand. This particular greenskin seemed to be one of the few, smart kinds of Ork. Instead of charging recklessly by itself at the dragon once again, it presented a new tactic the trio could use--but not before discrediting Sven's previous plan, and interrupting what would be another fiery barrage by way of an arrow to the wyvern's neck. Hm, even the Rogue Knight felt a bit of sympathy for the poor thing's throat, but this was a good enough distraction to ensure that the dragon wouldn't be spitting up any fireballs all of a sudden.

"Pelt it from da range," He had said, which was a rather reasonable plan--if him and the smaller one of the trio had carried hugeass crossbows as well. The dwarf beat the knight to the punch though, asking the Ork of his--and by extension, Sven's--lack of any ranged weapon and what they should do. The Ork hesitated a bit before answering the dwarf's question, but only the words 'use' and 'strength' had registered itself within Sven's mind, but it was enough to make him grin.

The eyeslits on his helmet glowed an unholy white, as a mystical red aura permeated his being. A bolt of power and confidence shot through his veins, Sven felt like he can take down both Godiva and Lucifer by himself. A glance to his right revealed the dwarf manifest his skin into stone. Sven cocked an eyebrow at first, but then he shrugged. What use is a sword when it cannot even break through a shield. So the Codex is not useless after all, it seems.

"We shall distract the monster, I assume" His piercing gaze shifted from the stone dwarf to the wyvern--it seemed to be even more pissed this time--before continuing. "while you rain hell down on it. If you land a good shot, then we go all-out."

"Let's do this my friends!" The dwarf had shouted, a thumbs-up followed afterwards. Morale was in high spirits, a good sign, they needed all they can get in this fight against the Alpha.

Sven wasted no time in closing the distance between him and the wyvern, but to his dismay it seemed to have recovered from the shot against its throat so quickly as a spread of flames escaping from its maw, with an intent to burn the knight into a crisp. Rolling towards safety, Sven recovered fast and quick. The red energy brightened around his upper limbs as he slammed the blade of his greatsword into the side of the Alpha's face. Its head whipped to the side from the powerful impact, but as Sven could see the Omen failed to slice through the wyvern's scales, only leaving a mark from where the sword had hit.

Now face-to-face with the Alpha itself, Sven swore. The dragon let out a low, annoyed-sounding growl as its frontal limb reeled back, and slammed down on nothing. The Rogue Knight had overestimated the power put in his strike, and he almost paid for it--if not for his fast reflexes and swiftness of the feet.

Currently, the knight had resorted to a hit-and-run technique, hitting whenever a weak spot is opened, running around and dodging the attacks of the wyvern otherwise. Aside from his first strike, the dragon seemed to be more annoyed than anything by Sven's attacks.

With his 'plan' in full effect, the large ork grinned. The horned knight seemed to have agreed with him as well, with his glowing white eyes. So that's what they mean when they say 'Until you see the whites of their eyes.' He certainly saw them now, and grinned a toothy, yellowed maw in response. He turned a full 180, only to see the knight dash from the peripherals of his vision, towards a much more pissed off wyvern. It blew a hot breath of flame, to which Skar could only crouch down to protect himself. He was more than surprised when the stone form had a defensive stance over him, shield raised. "Ha!" was all he said, as he began to sprint towards the wyvern as well.

By the time the dwarf reached the monster, the horned knight had put a tremendous force behind the blade that crashed down onto the alpha. But to no avail, all it left for it was a cool scar. Thankfully, the dwarf had reached the wyvern. Unfortunately for him, he was tossed to the side like a ragdoll when the wyvern brought it's claws down. The stout figure had no problem with this however, as he had simply rolled along with the force, and redoubled, bounding back twice as quickly. The dragon was more than distracted by the antics of the darting red blur under it, as it tried to blast the stinging wasp with fire, and grasp it with its claws.

This was his chance to strike. The dragon was distracted. He let loose a singular arrow. And then another singular arrow. And another. By the time he had to reload, 9 arrows flew through the sky, to their target. The dragon was hit with a satisfying thunk-thunk-thunk as the heavy bolts met their target. Most of the arrows only bruised the dragon, but one was able to pierce its softer underbelly, meeting the skin between the scales. The dragon reared back, and began to flap its wings, trying to blow away the offending warriors. The best part about having more than one skilled fighter, is that when one fighter is done, there's always another blow prepared, a constant swirling storm of furious blows and strikes to keep the opposing force down. Just like the dwarf was about to do, as he leapt upwards, and caught hold of the arrow lodged into the chest of the wyvern. "I AM AWAITED IN VALHALLA!" the dwarf shouted as he began to unsheathe a specially tipped arrow. It looked to be some sort of explosive device. "WITNESS ME!" he cried, before jamming the explosive deep into the dragon's chest, a giant blast following closely after.

Bits of blood, scales, and rock became shrapnel to the explosion, coating the arena below. A puff of large smoke from the upturned turf still lingered after the massive blast.

"DORF?!" Frantically scrambling around, the ork began looking for his newfound battle-brother.

Smiley's wings flapped about, keeping his body up and in the air, away from the fighting. A grin still on his face. The form he used as a bit uncomforting, but it was the most appropriate form he had since his actual adult form didn't have clothes. He paid close attention to what was happening, keeping an eye on the time and the monster. They were at the two-minute mark. His wings closed slightly as he dove lower than he was, of course, he was more visible.

His eyes shimmered slightly, gently biting his lip before one of his fingers twitched. It was interesting seeing how the children were able to defend themselves. Especially against an Alpha Wyvern. He turned his head up towards the sun for a moment before hearing an explosion from the arena. Smiley's eyes widen before shooting a glare towards the ground, the Wyvern was disabled. Smiley just growled before taking a dive and landed hard, creating a bit of a crater. "Well, would ya look at that~ you all survived. Congratulations. Come on, Belle. Let's return you to your little ones~" His wings folded before turning around to see the Alpha Wyvern wheezing and gasping. Smiley just blinked once as he rose his hand snapping his fingers, "Lybahttp://static.boredpanda.com/blog/w...-fantasy-digital-art-damon-hellandbrand-7.jpg will take good care of you." He chirped as the Wyvern's head lifted from the ground. It let out a snort as large metallic bars shot out of the ground and formed a cage. A chain link erupted from the ground as it pulled the cage back into the holding area for the monsters.

Smiley sighed slightly before grabbing the hilt of one of his swords and pulled it out, walking towards the small group of students, a smile spreading on his lips. "You all get to live another day. But I will admit that I am interested in slaughtering you all here. Buuuuut~ since I know the Headmistress would chew my head off," Smiley flipped his sword, grabbing the blade with his gloved hand and tapped the gem on top of the hilt on their heads. "Go to the seating areas for new students. You'll be taken care of by someone." He waved his hand before putting his sword away. Smiley went down the list, calling for other people as he set the monsters after them. The rules were the same, survive for five minutes or kill the monsters. Of course, Smiley didn't make it easy. Sending monsters that were stronger than they were supposed. While he did weed out the weak, he did enjoy the carnage. After a score of minutes, Smiley walked up to one of the bodies of a dying child. His eyes narrowed slightly looking over his wounds, the monster they fought was a parasitic demon. It was a miracle he lasted this long. But Smiley could see he was infected by it. "You did well, but not well enough. Death is your only release." Smiley just smiled before jabbing his blade with the child's head and pulled out the list.

"Let's see, let's see, let's see. Who's the next bundle of cattle?" He asked himself, cleaning his sword and placed it back in its sheath. His finger running down the list of students as a few goblins came out to clean up the bodies. "Ah, here we are. Takara Kazushi, Tanya Mahagnei, Anne Wickham and Theriad Hawke. Get down here and join in on the slaughter." He chortled before whistling towards the gates, the loud creaking noise echoed with the coliseum. "Same rules apply to even you all. Last five minutes or kill the monster. I'm sure even you all might be able to find this challenge groundbreaking~" He chuckled as he opened his wings wide and jumped into the air once again, flapping his wings as the monster stomped out of the shelter of the gate. It was corrupted Earth Golem. It stood about fifteen or twenty feet tall with dark green markings around its body. A strange black aura was emitting from this thing. Something was wrong with it. Smiley's fingers twitched, his arms crossed as he watched closely.

Saikin remained in her seat, sighing faintly as she turned her head upwards, looking up at the arena. The sounds bouncing off the walls and into her ears. She held the dagger closer to herself, using her hair to cover it. She was getting this feeling she was being watched. She didn't like it but didn't know where it was coming from. Her body shook in far before jumping slightly, hearing someone speaking up near her. Her head shifted towards the sound as he heard the same voice speaking to her.

From the voice alone, she could hear it was female. Anything couldn't be told as she held out her hand, shaking it once she was able to get a visual of it. "Pleased t-to meet you. I-I'm S-Saikin." She said with a timid voice. It was a bit shaking since she wasn't really used to others treating her nicely just yet. She moved her hand away and placed it back on her lap, the sounds of people leaving and fighting still filling her ears. She could also hear Smiley speaking. What mischief was he causing this time? A faint smile just spread on her lips but jumped when she heard the sounds of screams and panic within the fighting area and more people being called.

"D-Do you think the p-people will s-survive this one?" She asked with a hint of concern in her voice. While she hadn't been with Smiley for a while, she was concerned something bad was going to happen and she didn't want him to get in too much trouble. She waited years to see him again, she didn't want him to be kicked before she got to say hello.

Clowette looked towards Headmistress Sylvia as she spoke to her. Saying if she had a better idea then to present it. The young woman turned her head away from Sylvia and gently bit her lip. She blinked her single dark colored eye before looking towards the arena. "You can think of something Clow, it can't be that hard!" Ette shouted causing Clow just jumped before sighing, "You yelling at me isn't helping in any way, shape, or form." She hissed back. Clowette placed a hand on her hip, trying to think of alternatives to the entry exams. Written tests would take too long, traveling through the Silent Forest would result in even worse circumstances than that in the arena.

Clowette's eye fell back to the arena, seeing the Headmistress protecting students who weren't moving at all. A faint sigh escaped her lips as she continued watching, of course, her attention was taken by another teacher. Alenhiem, she believed was this young man's name. Hearing him ask if she could cut off Smiley's head if this was going to be a bloodbath. Maybe it would teach Smiley a lesson if they did do that. Clowette just continued staring at the fighting, she was more than happy to see the students actually beat the Alpha Wyvern. Smiley had it taken away promptly and continued calling the names. From there it was a slaughter, monsters and students were being killed. The monsters were winning.

Clowette placed her hands over her mouth as the kids were killed and monsters were immobilized. "A parasite demon?! Are you fucking kidding me?!" "Ette, calm down." "Me? Calm down, how can I calm down when he's letting out monsters that are clearly too strong for the kids." "Please just calm down, you are going to cause a scene." Clow said to her irritated sister. Ette scoffed as Clowette watched the result of the parasite fight. The demon was killed but two of the students were killed. Well, one was killed the demon, the other was killed by Smiley. The child was infected, at least Smiley had a sense of mind to not let the child suffer. The young woman hung her head, sighing softly before hearing another group being called to the arena.

Clowette rose her head to see it was an Earth Golem...but something was wrong with it. But what? It looked...wrapped. Something wasn't normal with its appearance. It looked sick almost, but the markings didn't show it. They were a healthy green color, so what was wrong with it? Clowette sighed mentally, shaking her head as she just watched and waiting to see what the children were going to do against this kind of monster.

Alenheim's voice was rather unfit for his body – a low heay-accented scottish voice. "While I detest the creature, he is needed...but if it comes to the point where he requires a reminder, I'll be sure to call on you." just as she gave her answer Ryosuke's childish voice would call out, another person questioning the fairness of these trials. "Yes, I do. Among these newcomers are bright, talented warriors and despite Smiley's...inept and childish view of these trials. I believe that we will have worthy admissions to Scholomance. However, should none survive then Smiley will have to pay for those lives." The fight in the arena would begin as the conversations would end.

Sylvia would watch the fight with extreme interest, the wyvern was fighting against three talented beings and it seemed genuinely frustrated. The helmed-giant and the Ork seemed to have differing opinions in strategy – one acting on instinct and the other trying to give some semblance of tactics. The headmistress would cross her legs and lean towards the edge of the seating area, peering down at the splendid cooperation in action. "Impressive work...", she thought to herself as the field was lightly drizzled by the blood of their wounded foe. She hoped that Smiley was displeased with the treatment of his 'pet' – perhaps it would make him think twice about sending his favorite monsters against students he underestimates. Sylvia couldn't help but smile at their progress. Then the unthinkable happened, the half-pint would lunge himself towards the Alpha Wyvern and cry out for witnesses, his large hairy arms digging a special-tipped arrow between the white scales of the wyvern. Speechless. Utterly speechless. Most of the crowd stood right up from their seats at the sight and sound of the explosion, eyes wide and mouths agape. Did this really just happen?

Smiley would descend and congratulate them, it seemed as though he hadn't noticed the condition of his battered and broken pet. A cage would rise from the sands before the chain would become taut with tension, the cage getting dragged along the ground towards the depths of the colosseum with a heavy blood trail wetting the dried ground. Smiley's hand would wrap around the hilt of his sword, causing alarm in the headmistress she was prepared to guard the students from the disguised monstrosity – she just needed one reason to put him in his place; his disregard for the safety of the students had been tolerated for too long. Her blue-grey eyes would narrow as Alistair flips his sword around and taps the trio in order and sends them off to their seats. Sylvia's body would relax and she would eventually seat herself. As the trio returns to their seats and another group is called, Sylvia's eyes would lock with the Mistress of Aura and nothing else needed to be said. The dwarf that accompanied the stone-knight and the ork was bound to be injured.

The next group of students assembled on the field, shaking like leaves as they dreaded their opponent. As the iron bars of the colosseum gates screeched open, a homunculus-like form emerged and shambled towards the group. The students were shocked by the appearance of the monster, but its sluggish movements made one cocky. He would rush to attack it, the large eyeball on the grotesque form would fixate on the male while the human portion of the monstrosity would react with blinding speed. More blood bathed the earth beneath their feet and the remaining two would be rushed by the demons and consumed promptly. This was the part she hated to watch, new students getting torn to bits by monsters because they lack the gall, ability, or were too cocky to take down such advanced monsters. A child lay on the earth, writhing in pain still alive as the stump that was her arm was slowly engulfed by black tendrils. They wormed their way inside her body and she continues to cry in pain, begging for her mother to save her. Out of the corner of her eye Sylvia would see Nyla move down the main aisle of the colosseum away from the dwarf who was receiving her medical attention. By that time, Smiley had already struck the killing blow, the Mistress would be frozen in place as her eyes were locked with the body of the helpless students as they were taken away from the center arena.

As the monsters were pulled back into the colosseum by the lugger of cages Smiley would descend once more, calling out four more names. The headmistress watched as each student descended to the field they looked like seasoned warriors unlike the last group.

Nyla Carwell

Nyla had seen the entire fight from start to finish, watching as the dwarf was helped into the stands and into his seat. Her light-blue eyes would lock with the headmistress', prompting her to rise from her seat. Without a single word she gracefully made her way through the crowded arena towards the trio who had made it out of the Nightmare's realm below. "Congratulations." she said with a semi-forced smile, she detested the violence of these trials but it was deemed necessary. The Mistress' hands would then move to hover over the pint-sized muscular human that laid on the bench. Her blue eyes would shut and a soothing tune would come from her part lips, her hands would begin to glow a soft green color. As the light would hit the dwarf's clothes he would feel a warmth permeate his clothes and spread throughout his body. His wounds would begin to heal – open lesions would promptly close and seal shut and leave a faint scar in its place, bruises would disperse, and broken bones realign themselves and suture themselves together.

During this time Nyla overheard Smiley's voice call out more students from the crowd, three others would emerge from their seats and go down into the blood-stained arena. Not even a minute passes and she would hear their painful cries. The healer's head would whip towards the arena as she can hear a girl crying for her mother. She froze for a second and then snapped herself out of it with a shake of her head as she spotted Smiley approaching the poor girl. "No!" she cries out as she reaches the boundaries of the seating area, a hand extended towards the poor girl and the monster in human skin murders the girl. Nyla's baby-blue eyes would tear up, wide with horror and anger. No tears would fall from her cheeks but her eyes were locked on Smiley for several seconds. 'How are YOU any better than the mindless animals that hunt us...'  the healer would think to herself, she hated Alistair and his 'role' in the school. She wanted to be rid of him and find a person who would uphold the standards set by the academy.

Remaining seated in the very same spot the entire time that the battle had progressed on between the trio and the alpha wyvern, the hooded male kept silent about his own possible comments on this trial for the students. Honestly, he understood the whole idea that this was to thin out the weak and leave only the strong to fight against the danger that threatened all their lives, but yet the way they were going about this whole thing felt wrong. Watching the battle play out further, the male's gaze had studied each and every move that the fellow students had done throughout their fight with the large wyvern, soon enough; it was to be expected from how they had fought that they would've finally come to a victory against the creature. It was quite impressive honestly, the hooded male had never fully expected that the trio would all make it out of the fight in one piece or at least not all three of them coming back together the way they did.

Once the man named as Alistair had descended from his location to congratulate the trio on a job well done, the hooded male only arched a brow as to how the injured wyvern was quickly wrapped into chains and caged before being drawn into an unknown area for being 'taken care of'. Curious as to what that had entitled, he had kept his golden gaze locked onto the supposed 'teacher' for another few moments as he had called forth another group of students to begin their trial. As the next set of students had arrived onto the field, the sight of fear was easily sensed from a distance as their opponent was something that would've been believed to be found in myths and legends. The very sight of the monster that came from the depths of wherever it was kept nearly caused the hooded male to wish to interrupt but as the fight began and the students were nearly easily defeated by the monstrosity, it was far too late for him to do anything to assist them.

"Let ye souls find peace in eternal slumber." With those being the only words to leave the hooded male's lips once the beast was finally called off and Alistair had once more made his appearance to finish off the final child who pleaded for mercy. Yet again, once he had began to call off another set of students; this time, the hooded male's own name was in the mix; Takara Kazushi. Without the slightest bit of hesitation, he slowly rose from his seat before beginning to progress his way over towards the nearby staircase to end up in the very same circle that all the others had been fighting in. Approaching the center where Alistair stood, Takara had kept his hood over his entire face while he listened to the same rules that had applied to the previous two groups.

Without so much as a response to the teacher, the male simply stood there as the ground shook and trembled once the large being began to make itself visible to the four standing there. Normally, an ordinary stone golem such as this would have no affect upon the staff but yet something was oddly different about this particular stone being. Standing there, by the time the large solid being came out from it's cell; the rings around the top of the staff had began to vibrate and levitate while also giving off a dark crimson glow to it. The very sounds of the vibration and the clanging of the rings against the staff this time had caused a bit of curiousity to come about the hooded male.

Rather than fully revealing any of his actual lethal weaponry to battle against this odd stone golem; Takara had stood his ground before the creature with nothing more than his staff in hand and no signs of fear in his own gaze towards the being.

The colossal figure carried the smaller, fleshy figure in his arms, almost like a mother would for a child. He was only stunned to see that the offending wyvern was caged so quickly. He laid the dwarf down on a bench and stood over him, watching over his broken form. The dwarf's right arm, right shoulder, and left foot were not to be found in the aftermath of the battle. Kneeling besides the dwarf, whose breath was now haggard, and eyes beginning to glaze, he placed his hand over his chest. "I don't want ta see you like this, I don't even know your name!" "Skargrim." The dwarf's breathing became a little more labored as he began to struggle for words. "I'll save the titles, it's" A pause, as he caught up with himself. "Goreksson... Bardin Goreksson, son of Burni Goreksson, student of Gotrek Gurnisson. Remember my name..." The dwarf trailed, as he began to close his eyes.

Skargrim looked up, his hand still clenching Bardin's. He was met with a strained "Congratulations." by a human woman. Resisting the urge to smash her face in, he kept his steely gaze at the fallen dwarf. She then began a distant tune, seeming to reach through her form and into Bardin's. Bardin's breath began to ease, the pained look on his face subsided, and the gaping wounds that were in the place of dismembered limbs were closed. Skargrim, gazed upwards, into her face. He noticed she was still using her magic to heal Bardin, but Skargrim still looked downwards, and whispered a curt thanks to her. Many orks don't ever get healing, let alone see it. Most see healing as using one's power to strengthen another, carving a new niche besides the gods of war, Gork and Mork. They don't acknowledge this however, since their race thrives off war and death. Some orks see healing as defiance against their gods, and seek to end the lives of those who are wounded. Skargrim however, had just experienced loss, something almost unheard of by orks. He inhaled deeply, got up, and rested on the bench, sleeping his problems away.

Anne had watched as the roller-coaster of a fight ensued, various tricks and jumps being used in tandem, ending in an explosive culmination. The creature was put away, and a new one was put out. A demon. It was a disgusting, vile thing. One that had almost made her throw up when she first saw it. The thing was pitted against 3 students, who fought valiantly, but not carefully enough. One was mauled by the demon, and another, the poor boy, had a sword thrust through his head. It seemed that Smiley held no sorrow for each student that died. She decided that she would make sure to minimize her interaction with him. It wasn't fair it seemed, to simply put a few students against something that would end your life so easily, so quickly. It might separate those who can and cannot handle being a hunter, but the price one had to pay was much too high. It was Smiley however, who interrupted her thoughts with the next list of students.

"Ah, here we are. Takara Kazushi, Tanya Mahagnei, Anne Wickham and Theriad Hawke. Get down here and join in on the slaughter."Fuck" She said to herself. She got down to the bottom of the stairs and into the arena. This wasn't going to end too well, she predicted. She had never seen an earth golem, the closest to a golem she had ever seen were those who became fully integrated with machines. She shuddered at the prospect of becoming less human and more robot. Unlatching her folded bow from her pack, she began to nock an arrow, waiting for the others to join up with her.

Tanya kept silent as she watched the students get butchered by the parasitic demon. Unlike others, who were horrified at this, she displayed nothing. She did not flinch, she did not cower, and she did not show pity. If anything, the only thing she showed was...curiosity. When her name was called, she closed her eyes, and stood up. Walking to the Coliseum, with the rest of her 'companions', she steadfast against the earth Golem. Instead of panicking, she eyed the creature. It was large, that meant speed would be lacking. However, it likely had reach as well, and it could make longer strides than they could. So, she knew they'd have to weaken it, THEN kill it.

She would then turn to her companions. "Power and Reach. Best to weaken it before anything. Striking the leg would keep it from moving very far, and the arm could prevent it from grabbing or throwing things. " She said. Instead of waiting for the students, as she knew they'd need every advantage, she took a couple of steps back, before.....vanishing into the shadows. She drew Kami, her blade meant for killing demons, and began moving along the side of the arena. While the ones that were visible would keep it busy, she'd strike from the shadows to cripple it. For now, however, she kept in wait.

This creature was one not to be underestimated, but no matter what, Tanya would do whatever it took to survive against it.

Standing before the large stone golem as it approached the four, the hooded male would remain completely still without a single word to any of his fellow companions. As the first prepared an bow and arrow to fire at the stone creature, Takara had not questioned the possibly that the arrow would simply break off the body of the creature like a twig due to the possibility that it could be enhanced with magic at the tip at all. The second coming up with a plan to weaken the golem by attacking it's legs and arms to slow it's movements, before finally she had vanished into the shadows. With that, currently Takara had shown no signs of going into any stance of fighting whatsoever but rather approached the golem directly with nothing more than just his staff assisting him in his walk.

Finally, by the time he had drawn close enough to the stone being; as expected the creature showed no hesitation to raise one of it's arms to strike down towards the hooded figure to end his existence in a mere moment. However, rather than allowing himself to be struck down so easily; the hooded male rose his staff upwards towards the arm of the creature. The instant the stone material had made contact with the staff, a bright light would immediately shine from the center between the staff and the creature's fist. Moments right after blocking the creature's attack, the hooded figure just swung his weapon to one side to deflect the attack and cause the golem to stumble back ever so slightly. This was no meaningless task but instead, once the golem was stumbled away from the hooded male; Takara would simply take a glimpse at his staff to notice as the rings around the top had given off a much darker red glow than it had earlier when the golem first made it's appearance. "Strange indeed." With those only words leaving from his lips, he would bring his golden gaze back over the golem as it roared and began to slam it's very fists into the ground at a rather rapid pace to make the very inner grounds of the coliseum tremble and shake tremendously.

Keeping his stance as steady as he could by holding onto his staff firm, by the time the golem had halted it's stomping only to begin letting out a echoing roar that sent out large boulders from it's very mouth. Takara had only shaken his head at the sight of this, as several of the boulders rolled across the field to slam into the walls that surrounded them as well as charging towards the trio that now stood against it. Slowly enough, the hooded male would end up grasping a hold of his staff with both hands rather than just one this time; with a stomp of his right foot forward and left foot in place, the male turned himself slightly to one side as one of the incoming boulders drew closer with each moment. "How distasteful, learn manners and keep your food to yourself, large one." With that, once the boulder had grown close enough; although it was only a mere second or so a pitch black aura that had been similar to that of the corruption that was bound to the golem could easily be sensed and seen emitting from the hooded figure's body before he would make full contact with the boulder with his staff to send it flying back towards the golem to smack it square across the jaw only to enrage it further.

Takara had known full well that this stone creature was little to no issue to him if he were to end up revealing what he truly was, but yet the very fact of how the situation was with the realm being against angels and demons due to the events that took place quite a while ago, doing so was probably going to be suicide on his own end. Even if he knew what he was, there was no chance that he was going to be able to survive a battle with all of these teachers and fellow students; they showed much talent that gave every good reason as to why they were who they were to begin with and why they should be feared if angered. For now, unless it was absolutely needed to defeat the golem; the staff, his dark aura and his telekinesis would be his only ally for the time being.

Lord Mathias Valinor

Location: Teacher Observation segment of the Coliseum

"An Unfortunate loss, but history has shown what happens if we allow sentiment to cloud judgement. With that infection, every second was pure agony. What he did....was a kindness. A mercy." Came the ever polite and ever courteous voice of a familiar being, whose quiet voice did NOT fit him.

Walking into the stage area now, was one of the more 'Unique' Individuals of the schools staff- Mathias Valinor, of the Giant-Clan Valinor. Though he was too small to be a proper giant, he stood at a daunting 19ft, and his battle-axe was easily 25ft. Coming behind him was his faithful mount, Lazarus. She was a giant wolf, whose size allowed Maithias to ride her into battle in place of a horse (since no living normal horse could support his size). He appeared (as he typically did when he came back from the field) as if he had come back from a battle. The polite giant would signal for Lazarus to sit down, as she'd tend to her litter of cubs.

Mathias would approach the group, before holding his arms out. His armor would un-equip from him, his axe vanishing, as they went into the pocket dimension he stored them in. Though it wasn't infinite space, and he couldn't put himself in it, having it meant he didn't have to carry his armor around him twenty-four/seven, though he was admittedly more comfortable in it. The white haired male would then sit down next to Lazarus, petting the wolves fur. "How are you girl? Did that tribe of Mountain Trolls hurt you bad?" He asked. Typical, he was off fighting yet ANOTHER abnormal threat, that no normal person would challenge alone.

Could he not do something normal for a change?

Mathias would then look towards the wolves leg, and they'd see the leg was scratched pretty bad, likely from a trolls club. Opening the small pocket dimension, he would reach in and pull out the stuff for a Nettle Compress and Poultice. Wrapping the leg in the soaked pad, using the dried nettle to hold it together, he'd leave it tight, but not too tight. It was a typical field remedy, and one of the first things he often taught his students. He saw the look of relief on the wolves face, and his own held a small smile. He would then pick up one of the cubs, which had an odd....feeling to it.

Walking over to Sylvia and Smiley, Mathias would speak up. "My travels yielded many new interesting discoveries, which I shall conduct into a detailed report for you in the future. However, a more Immediate matter requires both of your....direct attention." He said, as detailed as ever, before setting the wolf cub down in front of Smiley and Sylvia. The Cub had an unusual aura around it, and its eyes displayed immense intellect, not unusual for a wolf, but unusual for a cub. Mathias would then reach into his pocket, and pull out a magic infused crystal.

"Watch this."

As Mathias would hold the crystal near the cub, the crystal would begin flickering and phasing in and out. The wolf was displaying an Aura of Magical Sensitivity! This rarely developed in animals like this. "I am not sure if this is an anomaly or a result of breeding, but this has been happening since the time of its birth....The cub has a natural sensitivity towards magic. " He said, as the wolf would merely look towards him. "This is not something I am familiar with.....so I am giving you this one, so that you and Alistair can study it. " He said, before holding up a hand to stop any protest.

"While I would like to give it to either of you singly, as I am aware you two do not get along, you both are experts on this situation, and can handle this best if you work together on it. Smiley, because Monster Taming and Handling is what he was hired to do in the first place, and he's the best at it, and you Miss Rowan because you are likely the most knowledgeable on the subject of Magical Anomaly's, since you are the Headmistress of this academy....and you can keep Smiley from going too far, since he has a tendency of killing creatures like these." He said.

Mathias was, to a fault, blunt and honest. Though he didn't mean it in a menacing way, it was often him that pointed out the obvious. He simply preferred to not beat around the bush, as he saw it as a waste of time. He was one of the few people to actually maintain a friendship with Smiley, and they only saw each-other one year out of four, though he typically sent reports on monsters to both him and Sylvia.

This was a matter well beyond his expertise, and he wanted the people capable of understanding it to look into it, WITHOUT killing each-other.

Theriad stood in the Collesium Circle, surrounded by the people who would be his temporary teammates. He studied them, wanted to learn how to make their coallition effective. Cooperation was a key to teamwork, which in turn was a key to survival.

The first to enter with him, a small girl, frail looking. She gave off a steampunk vibe and prior had been hanging out with the greenskin. She had enhancements all throughout her body, and some gave Theriad no render to what their capabilities were. Needless to say, given her small and most likely frail nature, she would be staying back providing the group with supporting fire. Some kind of suppression.

The next was a lanky pale figure, having no unique or outlying traits about him to distinguish him from an average joe. He held an interesting spectrum of weaponry, one being a sword and the next a staff of some kind, and he did look to be in tune with a dark form of manipulation. He also had a hood upon his head, revealing nothing specific about his face such as a scar or other feature. No marking, nothing. If Theriad had seen this man at his hometown, he would think nothing of him but a wandering stranger.

And finally, there was another female. She had the kind of aura that suggested she was in tune with blood magic. Many dark sorcerers in this arena, with the small frail girl making a diverse composition. This would be easy.

"An Earth golem?" Theriad asked himself, and began questioning the large figure's weaknesses. He believed that an earth golem would be weakened by blood magic or dark intonation, so maybe they stood a more significant chance than initially throught. That was, if Theriad was right.

The golem began moving, charging the group even. As the hooded figure stepped forth, challenging the golem with a large victory, Theriad unleashed his threaded cane. A classy tool of killing.

He flicked his wrist, allowing the cane to extend into fibers, into a metal like whip. Soon, he put the top of his wrist on the blade, slightly moving it to the left to cut an opening in his skin. When there was a significant amount of blood on the whip, Theriad spun it in the air, spreading the blood across the cane and empowering the weapon. However, it left him slightly drained, and Theriad decided it would be best to not use the blood magic again until he could regain his full strength. He was still learning the dominance of his powers, how they affected him and what their power output was.

Nonetheless, Theriad began charging the disoriented golem, strategically placing his whip's lash onto the golem's feet, one of its weak spots.

Keeping his distance, he placed a whip shot to wrap around the left leg of the golem, hoping to stagger it enough to allow a more direct advance from someone else.

It was then that she saw her teammates join her on the arena against he dark giant. The golem was large and lumbering, but it was evidently, slow. This was punctuated by the golem's massive swing at the wanderer, who blocked the immense attack with what seemed to be a mere twig, a large walking cane. It was clearly more than that if it broke the crashing blow of the rock giant. It was then the rock monster started shooting boulders out of its mouth at the hooded figure, who deflected them with ease.

It was then that after the blows it inflicted to itself, that another one of their number began to unravel his threaded cane, meeting the charging golem in the middle, lashing left and right at the feet of the golem. Red flecks spattered left and right from each pinpoint strike. Blood? Golems don't bleed. There just seemed to be a lot of blood being passed around. Anne hoped that she didn't get infected by anything from the passing around of blood.  Maybe her team would enhance a few arrows? Fire will just have to do for now. Dripping oil over an arrow from a flask, she lit it aflame with a snap, a lighter built in to her index and thumb. She set a few dozen of these onto a latch on her left arm, convenient for archery, since her arm can hold much more weight over an almost indefinite period of time than a normal human arm can.

The steel tipped arrows were now coated with oil, which could be ignited with a literal snap of a finger. She began to flick arrow after arrow skillfully into the beast, aiming into the runes that coated its body. A few of them shimmered a red, some of them vanished. This caused the monster to stutter in its movement, already more distracted than it could be along with the blood user's cane-whip attacks. Annoyed, the golem began to swing wildly, swiping its massive arms at the gnats on the ground.

The giant slugging its fist around, specks of flame littered its body, began to bellow in rage and pound the ground, sending the arena inhabitants many feet off the ground. Anne didn't really like this all too much, as this put her off aim, and forced her to brace herself every time she landed, harshly sending a crunch into her fragile frame. Only a few toes were broken, but it still hurt as if Skar were standing on her feet. "THIS HURTS SO MUCH!" She exclaimed, still trying to keep focus fire so her team would be able to take down the earthen foe.

Theriad pushed tighter on the grip he had on the left leg, pulling while the whip constrained him of movement. "Someone, take the shot, target the runes!" His harsh and dry voice rang out. The harder he pulled the harder his strength was drained from him.

As he was on the verge of collapse, because his wrist was still channeling blood power to the whip, a fiery projectile passed his face and impacted the golem. With a small window, Theriad unhooked the whip and brought it back into cane form. The golem wasn't majorly affected by the arrow, as far as Theriad could tell. He just seemed more pissed off and showed it by rearing his head back. "Oh shit." Theriad murmured, revealing the whip once more and latching around the golem's neck, pulling up as a shockwave of Earth trembled beneath him.

A small blast sent the bloodmancer straight into the golem's head, where he dangled for a good amount of time. "Hey." He said, distracting the golem with his awkward foot placement on the giant's forehead.

A bellowing roar was sent out as Theriad leaped away, as the giant's two hands smashed together where Theriad once was. "I can't keep this up forever!" He screamed once he hit the ground. As if it were on cue, the golem backhanded Theriad, sending him flying into the stadium walls.

"That's not nice." Theriad said, brushing dirt off of his shoulders.

(@Andraus probably a good time to kill the golem ya know)

The Golem was wounded and distracted. Tanya knew it was now or never. Running across the field as the boulders were deflected, deftly jumping across one that had nearly struck her, Tanya turned a blind eye as Theriad was knocked into the stadium walls near her. She didn't even glance back, as she finally was behind the Golem. Reversing the grip on the blade, she began deftly slicing at the back of the creatures knee, before jumping up, and driving her blade into the back of the creatures neck. She would then place her bleeding hand on the creature, and if anyone was watching, they'd notice she wasn't being....touched by the corruption around it. She showed no  fear, no hesitation. Almost....

Almost as if she had seen this before.

The blood on her hand would drip into the cracks of the creatures neck, before an explosion of red energy would leave a large gap in the back of it. The creature would fall to one knee, now covering the back of it's neck, before the plates on it's torso would move up, revealing a dark gem, it's source of life. Tanya would run her bleeding hand over the blade, before murmuring. "Scatter....and Wilt." She would then slash out, the blood-red energy slash strike the gem, breaking it in half. Almost as if by a chain effect, the golem began fading, crumbling to gravel, as it's life left it.

Tanya's face showed no joy at the creatures demise, but no remorse. Twirling the blade, she placed it back into her sheath, before she began walking out of the Stadium. Her methodology was clear- She had used her team to distract the Golem, waiting for the perfect moment to strike it down. It was one thing to coordinate an attack for maximum effectivity, but it was an entirely other thing to use your own fellow hunters as bait. That was just cruel.
