Location: History Class
Actions: Sitting next to a classmate on the floor/Asking for his hat
Interactions: Cello. Cello. (Amethyst) Aeris Aeris (Naomi)

Daniel’s meditation procedure was coming to a slow end as he felt his flames grow slightly hotter during his continuous exhales. It was essential for him to meditate and necessary that he doesn't practice for too long unless he wanted to overheat himself. As he stood up and exited the gymnasium, he noticed that it was getting closer to the start of class. He let out an exaggerated sigh at the realization his new life was approaching him, and he failed to meet any of his classmates yet. Hopefully, nothing would lead to anything awkward like his last school. The very thought of it caused him to his hat to cover his slightly reddening face. He didn't expect he would have sneezed during his power presentation resulting in his clothes being burnt to bits. Luckily his hat survived to cover his boy bits, but the nurse was not happy having him naked in her office while trying to find him clothes. The young lad eventually found his way to his new classroom, where he could hear some of his classmates already mingling with one another.

He had quickly scanned the room to see a few open seats were available. He wanted to enter somewhat quietly, only making possible small talk with a few students. Luckily there happened to be an empty seat next to a nice-looking girl, which brought a sense of was to his nerves. As he approached her, Daniel was tempted to say hi to the stranger, but she started some kind of odd freestyle in a language he didn't understand. Feeling entirely awkward, the young lad quickly did a quick turnaround before she could notice him. Though as he attempted his escape, a more serious problem arose as the boy felt the urge to sneeze suddenly. Out of pure instinct of not wanting to set his clothes on fire again, the boy raised his head to the ceiling. The boy’s sneeze let loose a small amount of fire as the force from it sent him tumbling backwards into the girl knocking both of them to the floor. Out of sheer panic, he began to feel his body sighing with relief as he found himself thankful that he wasn't naked with brunt clothes.

The boy found himself happy that he didn't have to get acquainted with the nurse so early into the school year. He was delighted, at least, until he realized his hat wasn't on top of his head. Being his favorite, and because his hair was a total mess at the moment, the boy’s body shot upwards into a sitting position with his eyes just barely reaching over the desk. Daniel saw his hat had landed on top of another classmate's head, which caused him to pout slightly. The traitorous hat. How dare he lands on someone else's head. This act of betrayal made the boy completely forget that he had accidentally knocked a classmate to the ground. “Excuse me, kind lady,” Daniel said politely as his eyes didn't leave the top of her head. “Might you ever be so kind as to please hand me my hat back?”

AURORA LEE

Aurora gave a small nod of agreement. "Well, it's a good thing we met each other. We can help one another find our way about." Though she was still quite nervous to be around so many people, it was comforting to know that she, perhaps, had a few possible friends to keep her sane.

At the mention of her schedule, she fumbled in the right pocket of her trench coat dress until she grabbed hold of the darn thing and successfully drew it out. "Ah, there it is." she murmured as she unfolded it to reveal her schedule. Written somewhere near the upper portion of the smooth surface of the paper was just what she was hoping for: first period, history. She let out a soft sigh of relief.

"Looks like us three are stuck with each other." The doll-faced girl hardly got the words out before she was suddenly hit with a stronger wave of apprehensive energy. Her senses always seemed to know before she could even fully comprehend it.

Aria.

Her brows knitted together in concern.

"No," she answered the girl's inquiry as her amber gaze studied the other girl carefully, "But, you seem--are you going to be alright?"

She was now tuning out the world as she focused on her drawing. Not caring about anything else really. She was calmed down and she tapped her fingers against the desk with a small smile on her face. She was now doing the clouds up in the sky of her small digital picture - her favorite part about it. She sent to redo something sent her flying out of her chair.

Her finger hitting the delete button but not managing to be deleted as it was a two step process. Though her phone went flying across the room and landed right near the male from earliers feet. She slowly climbed off the ground and felt a stinging pain in her abdomen and sucked in a sharp breath. Not good at all. She looked up to see a red headed male now talking about a hat?

She blinked slowly and anger washed over her. Why the hell couldnt he watch were he was going? Who sneezes that powerful? She took a deep breath and she lifted her crop top a bit to inspect her abdomen. Nothing bad just a minor cut and a bit of blood. She signed a small sign in the air and it glowed bright white for a moment before a small ball of light appeared in her hand.

She placed her hand a couple inches away from her side and the ball formed into loops of light that were bouncing between her skin and her caramel hand. After the minor wound was healed she dropped her and and the light faded. Black crept up her veins but she ignored it - it wasnt bad yet so she didnt have to worry. She walked over to the male and bent down to pick up her phone.

"Quite sorry if it hit you Grayson. It wasnt my fault this time if it did. Also guess this was revenge as for me bumping into you earlier."

There was her apology and she didnt stumble once! She stopped herself from smiling as she surveyed her phone screen hoping nothing was broken. Oh she was wrong. The side of the side cracked and she clenched her fist. No matter how clumsy she was she not not managed to crack this phone once in the year or so she has had it.

She shoved the phone in her pocket and she opted not to let out a string of cuss words. She would like not to appear angry on the first day of school.

"Alright not how I expected today to go. I mean I didnt want to break my phone- phones are expensive. Anyway my name is Amethyst."

She pretty much mumbled most of that but she made a attempt at a introduction. Weirdly calm about her phone breaking though she was being dramatic. It didnt really break all that bad just a small crack on the very side of it. She checked her app to make sure the picture wasnt deleted and let out a sigh of relief. She still had her piece.

She sat back down and tugged at her shirt to cover her abdomen again. The scar was visible a brief second ago but she hoped no one noticed. That would be a long story to explain.

Clicking her foot to the ground she nods, hoping that the earth has left her boot. Soft soil slides off and Aria can feel the and hear it as it falls, soothing to her ears. She missed feeling the hearth beneath her feet, but sandals always seemed limiting to her when Aria tried to do other things. Instead of answering, the elementalists gives a smile to Aurora, hoping that would ease their mind. It is a soft one, just reaching her lips.

"If we all have the same class, we should head there. Right? I think we need to go that way?" The girl points down the hallway, face now covered in her map. A hand picking at the burn that are stuck to her wrists. A deep red blush hidden behind the paper and she tries to compose herself again, keeping her mind away from the feeling of the wind and the crunch of earth beneath her feet.

It took two whole pieces and about twenty pages, but Naomi had finally managed to calm down. Or at least enough that she didn't need to distract herself. She glanced around the classroom once again aware of just how many kids were in this class. Why did there have to be so many? What if her powers were dumb compared to theirs? She quickly corrected her thoughts, of course, they weren't as great. All she could do was move liquids and sing.
And control people.
Naomi dismissed her innermost thoughts. She COULD control people, but she didn't choose to. It was morally correct, that part of her power would just get people hurt. Especially because she was an emotional mess half the time, even if she wanted too she wasn't sure she'd be able to control her thoughts. No, that was a part of her power that would remain on the down-low, unless she had to demonstrate it...

Her hand instinctively tugged at her hair. That was something she should've thought about before she applied for this school, there's a good chance the teachers already know about the students' magic- both the good and the bad. She could already feel another panic attack coming, only it didn't happen. Something had landed on top of her head, distracting her from her thoughts. Naomi reached up until she found what had landed on her. A hat. A voice followed soon after, asking for the hat. Naomi turned so she was properly facing the source.

"I'm sorry," she smiled at the red-haired boy, taking the hat off and handing it over to him, "I'm not quite sure why it ended up there. But thank you!" Naomi frowned before quickly adding, "I needed the distraction is what I meant. So thank you! I'm Naomi, it's nice to meet you!" A first successful interaction perhaps? She had thought she heard the boy from earlier reply, but it had been too late to go back and talk to him. And she wasn't sure the blondish white-haired girl had heard her.
She was panicking again. Naomi pushed the thoughts away once again, focusing her attention on the red-haired boy.

It was easy to forget that all of these students were harnessing unnatural abilities. All different types at all different levels. Some dangerous, some not.

So hearing the sneeze and loud crashing made the boy flinch. He didn't want to look up, expecting an absolute bombsite. His book lowered slowly, harsh eyes peering over and settling upon the mess taking place. Slitted eyes of malevolence and contempt for the cause of the loud nose. Boy with a hat. The sneezer.

Amethyst's phone had clattered across the room, landing next to his foot. His leg uncrossed, shoe gently nudging the phone away from himself along the ground. Little bit childish of the tall male, but he didn't want the girl crouching down right beside him. She might fall again. The clutz.

She said it wasn't her fault, but Grayson still harboured a negative feeling towards her lack of ability to move gracefully. He didn't like being physically touched.

"You are clumsy." Was all he muttered. A blunt reminder. His gaze and attention moved back to his book. The interruptions were getting to him, an elbow finding the table and his fingers kneading against his temple. If he had to reread this same paragraph for the third time he was about to snap the novel closed and give up.

Ophelia watched the new students flow into the Academy. Occasionally brushing a blossom petal off her shoulder or head. Silent annoyance. She loved and respected nature, but not enough to let their remains rest upon her. Especially not pink ones.

It was a large batch this year. Plenty of marking she would have to do. Ophelia was pleased. She would be busy. She liked being busy.

She eventually drifted away from the doors, making her way down the hallway. Eyes sharp, head tall. She was off towards the teachers lounge to gather some salt.

"Morning, Ms Viotto-" Her dull voice and footsteps came to a stop upon noticing the second Oak right next to her. A pair. Two of them.

Ophelia's stone-cold expression didn't change.

"Mister Alron." She acknowledged the Shapeshifter. Though her obsidian gaze did shift between the two, unsure which was which. She didn't even ask what they were up to. Not her business. She didn't care.

"I will be assorting spell jars for the classrooms. They will deter bad energy." Her spell jars were exactly that, small glass vials full of strange ingredients. She'd place them around in areas for compelling reasons of her own. A bit weird for those uncomfortable by witchcraft, but at least Ophelia was not concocting any disgusting thick potions for them to drink. If you were ever confronted by the woman to down one of her soupy vile creations, it is recommended you run very fast. You'd never forget the smell or taste of graveyard dirt, sparrow entrails and lemon zest. Even the biggest glutton would recoil in fear from her concoctions.

"Please do not discard them."

"My name's Chita. Are you a freshmen?" His mind was scattered. A part of him was still amazed by the girl and wanted to know more about his new friend. Another part was worried about class and if he'd be able to find it, let alone get there on time. And a small part of him was for some reason wondering about candy. Suddenly, Chita would rise up so that his face was at the level of her face. Because of his powers he was able to levitate crisscross applesauce in midair. When he got up to her face level, he was even more amazed by her unique facial features. Personal space was completely disregarded by the airhead as he flew abnormally close to her. "Wow!" He gently caressed her scaly skin and looked deep into her specially-colored eyes. "You're so cool!!" He flew away from her a bit after inspecting her face. "Glad to be your friend, Market!" The mispronunciation of her name was entirely unintentional. It's just Chita forgot how to pronounce it in the very short time she said it.

"There it is. Oh my gosh, I'm probably late now." Shin approached the classroom door and finally entered. There were already a decent amount of students in the class but it didn't seem like it had started yet. His attention was directed to the teacher who was casually floating above her desk. "Uh... Okay.." Not wasting anymore time and giving his legs a break, Shin sat in the far back. He propped his arm up and rested his chin in his hand. "At least I made it in time."

Interactions - Kaiya Katayama (mentions Dahlia and Vernon

Lucas remained stone faced as she entered the room, his steely blue eyes watching as she walked towards him. He leaned back forward, taking his legs off the table as she approached. He stared upwards at the girl. And then she grabbed his chin. He had surprisingly soft skin, not a single blemish. He seemed freshly shaved, or maybe he just sucked at growing facial hair. At this close angle, she could see the tiny little cracks in the marble. He also began staring straight ahead, perfectly still. If she weren't touching him, it'd be imperceptible, his slight clench of his jaw when she touched him. The swallow. His steely expression didn't once falter. Frankly, it would've been more productive to tease an actual statue than get a rise out of Lucas.

He remained perfectly still in the position she'd manipulated him into as she walked away.

And then, once she was done speaking with the twins, something mildly incredible happened. He turned around, and the marble broke. The corners of his lips twitched into a forced lopsided smile. It looked more like a sneer or a grin, full of cocky arrogance. He gave her a little wave, oozing sarcasm. His face fell back into that cold disinterested expression and turned around once more. He grabbed his notebook and pencil and propped his feet up against the desk, balancing precariously back on his chair. He returned to his position from when Kaiya first entered the classroom. This time, with a notebook in his lap.

Luna sighed looking at the school in front of her. Another school, another day, another year. Hopefully this time will be different. Although if she was being honest with herself she barely remembered what happened. She clutched the notebook close to her chest. Her life line. She could never loose another memory book again, not like last time. She quickly glanced around at all the students before pulling up the hood of her oversized black hoodie over her head and securing the black face mask she wore. She kept her head down, careful to not draw attention to herself, as she expertly made her way through the hallways of the school avoiding contact with others, and any conflict or commotion that happened. She quietly made her way to her first class, history, luckily making it there in time before the bell rang. She slid through the door way, quickly and quietly finding a seat near the back at the far ed of the class close to the windows. She carefully laid her backpack against the wall, and placed her notebook on the desk, keeping her arm over top of it as she took a few seconds to observe the classroom. There was a lot to take in, a floating teacher who wore no shoes, and a few students settled around the class, some were quiet, others were on the louder side. Luna opened her memory book, a brown leather bound notebook where she wrote down things she absolutely had to remenber, and started a fresh page.

At the top of the page she wrote:
River Valley Academy For the Unique

Right underneath she made three columns with the headers:
Friends Enemies Unknown

There wasn't much that Luna was a hundred percent sure on; but what she did know is that she definitely was not looking forward to this school year.

As Alyss walked into the school, she looked around at the students. There was a lot of different people, and when she said a lot, she meant it. It was kind of strange, but whatever. She didn't really care about such things- usually she was the one who just ignored them and kept to herself, and that was exactly what she did at the beginning. She defcon wasn't interested in interacting. What would she even talk about? Besides, she could live without talking!

As she walked towards her first class, history class, Alyss was reading "Thunderhead" which was a surprising good book. She somehow managed to avoid everyone, and walked calmly into the history class, looking over at her new classmates. She hadn't really been spoken to, which was fine by her. Usually, when people tried to approach her, it wasn't for anything good. Well, whatever.

As she stowed her book back in her back, Alyss took a seat near the back, hopefully to distance herself from anyone. Seeing as class hadn't started yet, Alyss took out her book, and started reading again.

"oh oh.. umm th-thanks.. I.. oh.. haven't really had anyone say that.." Margate would reply a little sheepishly not really sure how to respond and somewhat ignoring his mistake. "oh well it's not market but.." Margate wasn't too sure what to do but... just hug the boy.. tightly.. it, unfortunately, led to sharp chill and a little drowsiness before margate stopped hugging so tightly the effects totally disappearing. "oh oh im sooo sorry about that.."

When Aria was ready Karen would be there but right now should would support her in presence only if not in words yet. Karen flicked a quick smile up at Aurora

"Stuck....or fated?"

Aria jumps up and grabs both of their wrists to give them a pulling them towards the direction she believed the classroom to be. The girl can hear the crunch beneath her feet still, like the earth was following her as she walked. Not wanting to look down to see if what she was feeling was correct, maybe her boots took up more earth than they were suppose to? But even with that notion and Schrodinger's Cat, perfect earthly footsteps followed each press of her feet against the floor.

Instead she looks over at Karen and Aurora with a large smile, her eyes slightly glowing as she kept pulling. "I'm going to go with fated. Stuck makes me think I'm caged and that is never fun. Don't you agree?" The elementalist gives them a reassuring smile, and her eyes seem the fade with the glow to show her electric blue eyes sparking in the indoor lights. Her footsteps seems to vanish from the ground as well, leaving muddy spots where she stepped before.

She glared at Grayson before finishing off her piece. She zoomed out on it and had a victorious grin on her face. She had finished a small piece that actually looked neat. She was staring down at the screen for too long and thinking about it. Something flipped inside of her much like something snapping or a tree branch falling to the ground.

Her eyes glassed over and she raised a hand to her temple. No no no this could not be happening just yet. No one needed to know about this power. Please not yet. She didnt like this power something so useless or something that could warp reality. She tug her finger into her temple more and her vision dotted with phosphenes as she tried to push the thought of the drawing away.

At least it would be the glorious sunset she had drawn. The one over a lake and mountains. It slowly started to color into the real world not much bigger than her forearm though it looked surprisingly real. She quickly tried to cover it with her arms but failed as the reds and yellow hues stuck out against her green crop top. She let out a long sigh and closed her eyes.

She hoped no one was looking at her, Everyone seemed to be busy interacting so she should be fine. The illusion quickly fell away as soon as it came totally clear and she laid her head on the desk. Her eyes now clear and she blinked slowly. She lifted her head back up to look at all the other students. She should make a friend - that one guy did not seem to like her that much.

She vetoed against getting up and opted to read a book on her phone. A quiet activity that kept her mind busy.

A embarrassed heat flamed up across her face as she looked up to see who it was. Mrs. Lavicchi. She smiled up brightly at the female. The gray in her hair shinning in a nearby window.

"Hello Mrs. Lavicchi. Fine day isnt it? Dont worry we will not throw out the spell jars. Its most likely important if you made them."

She dipped her head in respect to the female. She lifted her head once again and her steady gaze met that of Ophelias. She then raised a eyebrow at the female figuring she could offer something to her in thanks of the jars.

"Would you like a sweet? I promise they arent all that bad plus its a thank you for the jars!"

She then pulled out one of the chocolate cake things. They were pretty small and sweet. She was known for some of the best foods in the school even better than the chefs here.

While she did not show it, Ophelia was pleased to hear the two would not throw out her spell jars.

"They are important." Her gaze did flicker between the two before her, still uncertain who was who.

"Yes." She replied coolly. "A pleasant morning." The morning wasn't that pleasant, she wasn't fond of the sun. She manifested for clouds.

Ophelia looked down upon the offering in silent debate.

"I suppose I can accept just one..." A very mild reply, though internally Ophelia was a sucker for them. She'd been hanging out for something sweet all day. "..A treat for myself..." Acting like she didn't eat sweets on a daily basis. Acting like she didn't have a tiny stash in the bottom draw of her desk. But they didn't know that. That was secret.

"Thank-you, Mrs Viotto." She delicately accepted a small chocolate cake slice from one of the women.

"Your children are attending this year. I could sense them. Siblings?" A pang of jealousy. Two children. She swallowed it down, along with a small piece of the food. She liked it. She didn't bring up her skill with baking. It was sweet and soft in her mouth and made her falter for a short moment. "I am certain they will do well."

It prompted a rise of respect for this woman. Well. Women. There was two of them. Ophelia loved a little sweet goodie to nibble on. An easy way to win the favour of the pale woman. Her fingers carefully pulled small bits off the cake to place in her mouth. Clearly eating with her fingers was uncommon for the lady, causing meticulous movements.

Damien
Mentions - Amethyst

There in the corner of the classroom, back and as far away as he could be from the others, sat a Damien Bryarliet. He had long limbs, bony. He sat hunched over a leather notebook which he was using to sketch his classmates in with a charcoal pencil. His wavy dark hair obscured his eyes, and he seemed to have a passively neutral face. There was a slight freckling over his face. Looking at him, he was.. kind of unremarkable to look at. Yes, he was tall, but he was a bag of bones. And there were a lot of kids out there that didn't really want to be noticed all that much.

Damien's fingers curled just a little bit tighter around the pencil as more and more people filed in around him.

He felt cold. But then again, he usually felt cold. Even with his two layers of long sleeves. He began staring at the girl that was currently on her phone, reading and began sketching her. He liked it here, it was easier to fade into the background when everyone else was extraordinary. Ordinary him had nothing to worry about. All he had to do was do the basic parlor trick every now and then to keep up appearances and then he could just coast through this school. No judgments for his power. No judgments of his personality. Nobody talking to him.. This year was turning out great. He began to continue subtly stare at the white haired girl as he drew her.

Kai was never a big fan of school, let alone an academy-styled one. Had it been a vacant day, he would've either practiced his singing or playing some fun first-person shooting game with the very few friends he had made online. Still, he is a teenager first and foremost who lived under the kindness of someone else's rooftop, and this certain someone is definitely not keen on him skipping his education. It wasn't like he was not thankful for having something as close as a normal family could be and to be taken care of, but he has his preferences as well, and sometimes it clashed with his surrogate parent's ideal.

Anyway, he had come to the classroom way earlier than everyone else did, and him being himself, the blonde-haired teenager had busied himself listening to the song in his headphone. it wasn't particularly loud, but enough for him to not even stole a glance toward the upcoming students and the history teacher. They didn't bother him in any form either, so Kai concluded that it wasn't worth trying to barge into whatever they were discussing.

At least, until someone was getting in his way of gazing at the outside world.

The person before him doesn't look particularly stood out, although then again, the same can be said when pretty much everyone around has something unique about them. The first thing Kai noticed about this new classmate was his unkempt blue hair. His body is also burlier than Kai, though he doesn't look malicious, or at least Kai didn't feel endangered near him.

Deciding that I'd be awkward if he didn't greet the new classmate, he paused the music and leaned toward the blue-haired boy.

"Yo, the name's Kai Natsume, though feel free to just call me Kai," the blonde introduced himself, "you have no plan after school? 'Cuz I know a good place to hang around near the academy. If you don't mind, we can check it together."

Though he was smiling confidently, Kai was grinding his gears internally.

'Oh god that was so awkward I want to kill myself...'

Aurora was not entirely convinced by Aria's attempt to reassure her, but she gave the blue-haired girl a nod. She wouldn't press the other girl any further. They had only just met and the amber-eyes empath did not expect anything from her.

"Yes, we should probably get to class—" the delicate female did not even get to finish her sentence before hand was wrapping around her wrist and pulling her forward. Her eyes widened in brief surprise. She stumbled a bit at first but eventually fell into step with the two girls.

"Stuck....or fated?"

The words seemed to echo in her ear. She glanced between Karen and Aria. Aria was right. Stuck together did not seem like the best word for three of them. "Fated, for sure." she answered confidently for once in her life. At that, her lips quirked up at sides into a warm smile.

Dahlia was running a hand over her arm with her legs crossed on her chair. She was watching Amethyst with careful eyes and a worried expression. She just went flying backwards and her phone went flying as well. She knew the hay day she would throw if it broke. And it did apparently but Amethyst wasnt mad...? She was rather calm which meant she was hiding the anger. Not good for Amethyst - it never lead to anything good.

She dragged her eyes away from Amethyst to her twin. He was looking at her as well as his markings seemed to glow. Shit. He needed to calm down quickly. She raised her hand and rested it on his cheek. Vernon seemed to snap out of some sort of trance and the glowing died down. They didnt need unwanted attention. They just wanted to fit in with everyone here but that was going to be hard.

Dahlia dropped her hand and nearly jumped out of her seat when she heard someone talk. She turned to the bright teal haired female and smiled.

"Hello! Thank you though we arent that cool-"

She got elbowed in the side and she let out a hiss. She shto a dirty look to Vernon who was standing up with her now. He had a smile on his face as he threw a arm around Dahlias shoulder. He was better at talking than Dahlia was so she was going to let him take over.

"Hey! The names Vernon and this is Dahlia!"

She gave a small wave and dipped her head. The turned her head to see a male waving to the female. Not a very happy looking one either. She turned her gaze back to the female then her brother.

"Something is wrong. I can feel it."

"I can as well. Something happened between the two."

Vernon looked at the female and his smile grew wider and a bit more stressed. His deep caramel skin glimmered from a window right next to where the stood and he tilted his head to the sunlight.

"Whats your name? And quick question. Is that male bothering you or did he bother you?"

Dahlia nodded in agreement to what he was saying. They couldnt really do anything about it if he did as they couldnt get in trouble here. Not when Mama Oak worked here. She would kill them without a second thought and then offer them food. She rolled her eyes at the thought before looking back at the female.

"Sorry I wasnt rolling my eyes at you- It was uhm a thought. Not about you of course! Ima just stop talking now.. Nice meeting you though! Do you want to sit with us?"

Vernon laughed at Dahlia and it was her turn to elbow him in the ribcage.

a small, beach coloured tabby cat seemed to be resting on an desk, it had an apparent sense of coziness and the smell of a Mocha Coffee, it looked like if it was having a nice nap and just enjoying it’s day, as a cat should. It was unknown why or how did the cat get there. But it was there.

it was resting on the desk of the boy with the book, and it didn’t seem to know the boy existed by any chance, hence it‘s calm and peaceful state, and it’s apparent purring, satisfied of the quiet and calm aura, much as itself.

although it seemingly was, this cat wasn’t actually a cat, but an shifter, not wanting their entrance to be known, for they were too scared to appear normally, for reasons unknown. Well, for now it didn’t matter. It was still a cat. And it was still on a desk.

There it was. That next interruption. The final nail in the coffin to his peace. His immersion was broken completely. A rumbling noise. While quiet, was distracting him.

How on earth was he meant to relish in Natalia's reaction to Felix professing his love to her? The perfect scene? The culmination in which both parties throw down their facades and declare their feelings? The drama of the cold rain and crying? All of it was ruined. Grayson would have to read it another time.

He huffed and closed his book in defeat, long fingers sliding along the hard cover. Grumpy.

Until his attention and eyes lifted and landed on what had disturbed him.

The male's expression blanked. Any negative feeling was washed off in an instant. Landing a grey gaze upon such an animal. A cat. Right there. In the classroom. On his desk. Tail. Ears. Fur. His heart leaped, discarding any care he had for appearing proper.

WHO.

He sat up sharply to give his full attention, which was locked onto the only thing that mattered. This cat.

"Oh." Voice soft and unfocused. "Hi." Absolute smooth brain. If he had known this tiny being was residing within this desk, he wouldn't have been grumpy in the first place. "Who... Who are you..?" This was the best thing to occur all year. His entire lifetime had led up to this. His heart felt full. This was love.

"You have such round paws.." He whispered in awe, taking his hand and smoothing a finger upon the cat's head. "And so small.." Grayson looked and felt like he was about to cry. "..Very soft.." The tall demeanour he once held was melted into a gushy pile of stupidity.

He would steal it. He didn't care if someone else owned it. It was on his desk. He would take it. Grayson wasn't even sure if the Academy allowed pets. Probably not. But for the first time in his life he was ready to discard the rules. He wanted the cat. He'd treat it far better than it's actual owner. Spoil it. Buy it treats. Fatten it. Buy it a bed. Cat tree. Catnip. They could get matching outfits.. Matching socks....

Grayson had to take a moment to try calm down. Biting his tongue before he imploded on the spot. Do not scare the cat. But a quiet noise of delight slipped past his lips. "Eeee."

He carefully wrapped his hands around the cat's waist, gently pulling it off the desk and into his arms. It was small and soft against him. "I can look after you my Cream-Puff." This was his baby now. If anyone looked at this animal rudely or even breathed on it he would throw hands. He would kill for his baby. His child. His head lowered, pressing his face against the top of the cat's head. The feline even smelled like warm coffee. She was perfect. "My little bubba. My bubsy.. My bubbie boo." He nuzzled his head against the warm cat, cradling and cooing at the animal with pure adoration.

"My vanilla soft serve." Grayson whispered. "My little cashew."

He completely forgot about his dignified behaviour for everyone around him. He cared only for the cat. "You are everything good in the world. I would die for you." And he would. He definitely would. He'd kill for her too. He'd tear anybody apart who dared be mean to her. He would destroy them. "Your name is Oatmeal. I will give you so much Tuna."

It was probably quite a comical thing to see. The refined, impeccable, composed Grayson replaced by a figure unlike any other. A cat enthusiast.

Amethyst was busy reading her book on her phone. Her favorite book, Midnight Runaway. One of the best books and plot twists she has ever read. Not to mention it was a romance novel but not just romance but a GAY one. She was a sucker for gay books if they were represented right and Midnight Runaway was the perfect example of this. She wasnt gay herself but was fully supportive of the community. They fought so hard to be where they were and were still fighting hard to be treated equal. Sometimes she did wonder if she was gay and just didnt know or refused to acknowledge it. She also couldnt express how much she loved this book without tell anyone about it, embarrassing to admit you read romance novels.

She has seen the movie as well and stocks the authors social medias waiting for the second to come out. Her eyes widened as she read on in the scene. Still the beginning of the book just as the plot kicked off. Nova was telling Rachel she had to leave. A forced marriage between her and someone else. She had to get away before as the man was cruel and Nova was lesbian.

Was she out to her parents? No of course not! She would be beheaded if she did! Amethyst leaned over her phone and propped her head up onto her hand. She was lost in the scene of moonlight and ocean when she heard someone baby talking? Her eyes narrowed as she looked up. Who dared to disturb her reading her book then her eyes settled on it. A cat.

Her blood ran cold and her breathing grew shallow. What the hell was a cat doing here? Why was it so close? More importantly why was Grayson talking to it?

Panic bubbled up inside of her as Dahlia looked over at Amethyst. She was trying not to scream though it failed when she saw Grayson pick it up. A blood curling scream pierced the air as she stumbled out of her chair and tumbled over a couple others, backing against the wall furthest away from the cat. Dramatic? Yes but she had good reasons. Dahlia ripped herself away from Vernon and the teal headed female and jumped over a desk to get to Amethyst.

She wrapped the female in her arms and cradled her head against her chest. Amethyst was half way in a delirium state as she took ragged breaths for air as Dahlia tried to calm her down. It was very rarely Amethyst saw a cat even in her neighborhood. Tears blurred her eyes as her nose burned. Dahlia rested her head on top of the females muttering unhearable things to anyone else.

She looked over her shoulder to Vernon who was just standing there. Didnt he know how bad this was? Amethyst has been embarrassed so much already today. Poor soul. She needed Mama Oaks food to help her. Dahlia pushed open the door and lead Amethyst outside into the hallway. She then proceeded to the nearest bathroom and shut the door behind her.

"Hey hey you need to calm down Thi Thi. The furry thing is not going to hurt you."

Amethyst just nodded slightly and Dahlia lead her to the sinks and turned one on. Damn even the bathrooms here were nice.

"Wash your face and ill redo your makeup yea?"

Amethyst only obeyed and dipped her hands into the sink to wipe off the running mascara and bright red cheeks. She was feeling a little bit calmer now as she wiped her face off with a paper towel. She blinked slowly as her purple eyes focused on Dahlia. Some how she was calm as Amethyst freaked the fuck out and Amethyst admired that. She was the rock within her, Vernon, and Dahlias friendship and was like the mother of the group.

Amethyst removed her purse from her side and handed it over to Dahlia. She fished out the mascara and a couple other things that could have got messed up. She took Amethysts face into her hands and started to work on her makeup.

A couple minutes later Amethyst was fully back to normally and breathing just fine. She gave Dahlia a appreciative smile and hugged her tightly.

"Hey everything is alright. Now when we go back in there just ignore the furry thing. Just go back to reading your book alright? We cant have you scare everyone when you freak out though I know they set you on edge."

"Alright. Sorry I caused trouble and worried you."

Dahlia smiled as she lead Amethyst back out of the bathroom and to the History room once again. They entered and Amethyst kept her eyes away from the cat and on the floor. She was going to pretend like that never happened. She picked up her flipped chair and sat down in it - turning on her phone back to her book. Dahlia returned back to Vernon and the teal headed girl.

"Sorry about that."

While Alyss was still reading her book, she didn't pay much attention to the goings of the class, she was at the Climax of the book, and just wanted to finish it. Godard had started to sink Endura, and now it was a fight for survival for everyone of the floating city- most people probably would be confused of what she was reading, but they just had to read the damn series- but of course, her quiet reading was interrupted by a loud, shrill, scream.

Looking up from her book, she spotted a girl that seemed too afraid...... of a cat? Well, she wasn't going to judge them for being afraid of cats, there were worse fears. What was worse was how they were reacting to it- they seemed to be going into a delirious state, and Alyss was half-way out of there seat, ready to- well, just TRY to help, if she could, but it looked like one of the Girls friend got it, and they were comforting them-

Well, nothing Alyss could do now, but she was mainly worried about the cat. Were pets even allowed? Mainly, was the boy a cat lover? they seemed to... well, REALLY LOVE em, as in"If they were real, I would marry them" Hesitating, before getting out of her desk and walking to them, she tapped the boy with the cats should, and asked them

"Hey- did you have approval to bring your senpai to school? I mean- they scared the living shit outta someone-"

She was being direct here- she didn't want animals who gave heart attacks to people here, and besides, she wanted this to be over so she could finish her book

The cat was seriously not expecting to be picked up, squirming a bit in surprise, until it was hugged. Oh. No. But it wasn’t going to run off, for the stranger seemed already attached. It was just trying to nap, man, well atleast it got the p a t s.

when the hug ended and it was brung back face-to-face with the stranger, it smiled. Oh my god it smiled. Small cat smile. Pretty pink eyes. Maybe it liked the name? It’s tailed swayed a bit in happiness, though the shifter inside wasn’t that happy, I guess she didn’t think her plan would go this way.

Then someone screamed. ‘Oatmeal’ let out a small hiss as she cowered behind the stranger who seemed to remotely like her. It sat down on his shoulder and backed a bit away, but not enough to fall off, Oatmeal kinda trusted the stranger, hence its actions.

then someone else came, the cat was scared. It was shaking. It curled a bit on it’s position defensively, it looked like if it was trying to either protect itself, or it‘s new ’owner’ it let out a small, a bit loud,
“Mrow!” As it continued to be scared.

Amethyst screamed, followed by stumbling over chairs to recoil against the farthest wall.

He was not happy with the Clutz, or the loud noises. That sharp unwelcome look returning to his gaze. She disturbed Oatmeal. His baby. His precious. It probably would've looked rather villain-esque. Pale brooding boy in his seat, hissing cat seated on his shoulder. The kind that spin around in the seat and taunt the protagonist who has entered their evil lair. Maybe if the cat wasn't a beige colour it would suit him more, but Grayson did not mind. A cat was a cat. This cat was his. She smelled like coffee. Her paws were small. Round head. Whiskers. She was perfect. Harmless. Innocent.

"Stop it!" He snapped, fuelled with protective energy. He raised his hand to rest against the cat's head, cupping it gently. He was glaring at Thia who was freaking out. "You'll scare her." He smoothed a pale hand over Oatmeal's soft fur. More concerned over the cat being afraid than the human girl. Thankfully one of the siblings escorted Amethyst out to have her meltdown elsewhere.

His voice turned soft and gentle again when speaking with the cat.

"Do not pay attention to her, my Butter-Cloud." He comforted the animal. "She is rude and clumsy. We will heed her no mind." Grayson had never encountered someone afraid of cats. Plenty of people disliked felines, thought they were lazy, temperamental, self serving, but Grayson didn't think that. Cats were elegant and thoughtful. Complex. Independent. They didn't need you, they could look after themselves. So you had to win their trust and prove you were worthy of their time and affections. Relatable to him, in a sense.

Then someone tapped his shoulder. He didn't like that. Physical contact was a no no for Grayson. His jaw tensed and the boy slowly turned his head to acknowledge the stranger. A tall female with dark hair and green eyes. Senpai, is what this person had called his pet. His gaze simply bored into her, processing what on earth that was meant to mean.

"No." Grayson answered bluntly to whether he had permission, not a waver in his cold expression or tone. This was the only thing he was willing to ignore guidelines about. He didn't know if pets were permitted. He didn't care either. Cat was his. He sucked his teeth with his tongue in a loud sharp noise, hearing the stranger pin the blame upon his baby.

"Oatmeal did nothing wrong." A defensive hiss to his voice. Unwelcome. "She is well behaved, more than I can say for some people here." Hard to believe when the cat was up on his shoulder, bristling with apprehension. The white-haired girl had re-entered the class, his gaze flickering to her. His jaw set, waiting for anything. She seated herself without a word, wouldn't even look at him or his bubba. That irked the boy.

He remained staring at her for a long time. Waiting. Displeasure burning. A hostile look. Much like the cat on his shoulder.

"She scared Oatmeal."

He now spoke directly to Amethyst, levelling his cruel eyes upon the girl. "Apologize to her." Tense. Confrontational. His pet deserved an apology.
