basic description. King stands at around 6'8, solid as a brick wall. He is muscled, but not overly so, but enough that it i obvious he is very fight. He has shoulder length hair that is constantly pushed back and gelled. Tattoos cover his form, wrapping around every available limb. Dark brown eyes peer out from a solid bone structure, jawline sharp enough to cut glass.

pro's & cons.

player strengths.
1. His biggest strength lies in his insane receives. Unlike a lot of players, King has zero fear and a very very high pain tolerance. He has no qualms over slamming into walls or launching himself over objects. And he always picks himself up right after, not even slightly fazed. His height allows him to cover more ground and his lack of fear allow him to recklessly dive for every "hopeless" receive.
2. King also has a good sense of awareness of the court and his teammates, he is constantly focused on the ball while intuitively knowing where each of his teammates are and who is the best option to hit the ball too.
3. Constantly working out, he has great stamina and strength, meaning he can go full force longer than most without tiring out.
player weaknesses.
1. KIng's biggest weakness, and one that is entirely mental, is his very short temper. Failing to save, makes him incredibly frustrated and angry and he gets sloppy, missing more saves. eventually getting to the violent stage where he strikes out at others and gets himself kicked off the court.
2. Lack of precision makes him a horrible spiker, and can throw off his passes. While he is psychically strong, he relies more on his brute strength than careful coordination. Often his teammate he passes to has to somewhat chase the pass as its always slightly off. this can throw others off their game and if the teammate is highly aware, can lose them the pass.

2. she get too caught in her strategies, even on the court. this is the downfall of her being able to create pretty good strategies. whenever they are in the middle of a match, her strategy never leaves her mind. This usually leads her to not pay attention to her teammates around her, bumping into them on too many occasions and sometimes that leads to some disasters on then court, like missing the ball or something of the sort. it becomes even worse when something unexpected happens in the match. if that happens, she tends to rework her entire strategy in the middle of a match, which leads to help makes multiple mistakes on the court, leading it to her trying to rework her strategy once again to see if she get make up a strategy where they win the match even is they are very behind. this ends up becoming a cycle most of the time.

How she became captain of the team, who the hell knows. has been playing since she was a child and although her high school and college years. although she has a shy persona, she is very passionate about volleyball and her team. her style of leading is a more gentle and reliable way, trying to find where her team is weak and improve on that area together. she never really has the guts or courage to yell at anyone, but can get a bit sassy if you push her enough, though that doesn’t happen all that often. def insecure though, like she doesn’t think she deserves her captain spot, due to her persona and seeing her juniors play much better than her. can make a hella good strategy though, since she had been in the team for a long time, she knows how her team plays like the back of her hand and knows the right moves to play when in a match. has a very shitty family, bunch of drunks and had to endure a lot of abuse, mostly verbal. she heard it so often that it became normal for people to insult her. she was able to move out for college however and cut ties with them. although she used to be like them, drunks, up until her freshman year in college when she went to rehab and has been clean for 3 years so far.

1. her speed on the court. this is probably her greatest strength as a libero. she can be almost anywhere incredibly quickly giving her optimal chances to receive balls.

1. mimosa is fast but sometimes *too* fast. she is known to ram into other players to save a ball which is not pleasant for either of them. her issue lies within her lack of speaking up claiming the receive. she doesn't give the other players any warning and expects them to move out of the way.
2. her biggest downfall is her internal self-talk and hyper-focus. mimosa doesn't show it but she holds herself to an extremely high standard. hence the extra time spent training and working out. she expects herself to be in peak physical condition and peak physical performance. it takes a huge toll on her mind if she has an off day or misses more receives than she expects of herself in matches. it can lead her to spend all night practicing by herself and getting no sleep over it. she will never admit this to her teammates or friends, thus internalizing all her expectations and fears will eventually lead her to explode. a side-effect of her adhd is hyper fixation. she will notice something she doesn't like and hyperfocus on it so that it consumes her and she will repeat the same drill until she gets it right. it will be all she thinks about and cause her to lose focus during practices and matches depending on the severity of her hyperfixation.
3. physically, mimosa tends to overdo it leading her to be sorer than others. on the court is really where this can take a toll. she doesn't have a good concept of what she can and can't handle. she looks up to king and sees herself as being able to achieve what he can on the court. this leads her to launch herself into chairs or the wall in order to save the ball. while she may be successful she's not as easy to recover as he is. though she jumps up quick and is back in the game, the wincing on her face is obvious for everyone to see. she just physically isn't built like him and constantly throwing her tiny frame, no matter how built, leads to much more bruising and potential sprains for her than it ever would for king. not to mention her adhd coming into play and her hyperfixating on the ball, not even realize she's about to crash into a bunch of chairs so she doesn't get the opportunity to try and land properly which is a gateway to even more stupid injuries if she's not careful.

1. she's really good at note-taking and color-coating things. this helps her focus during class.

mimosa was born to megan and zach lockheed. she was their only child. they lived a comfortable middle class life, her father encouraging her to pursue her dreams, which just so happened to be volleyball. after seeing some people on the beach play it when she was 5, she decided she wanted to play too. from then her volleyball journey began. mimosa's mother, megan, was an alcoholic who had been through rehab twice by the time mimosa was 9. her mother was banned from her matches due to showing up drunk. her father came when he could but worked most of the time. her mother ended up dying of chronic liver failure. mimosa was 11. it was hard on her but she pushed through. seeing how her mother acted under the influence made her sick to her stomach and she swore off the substance. she doesn't talk about her mother, or her home life really at all. no one besides king would know about it. her father re-married when she was 15 to a woman named susan who had a 16 year old son. tristan was her step-mom's pride and joy and went to a pristine college on a football scholarship, many celebrations were had due to this. when mimosa got a scholarship for volleyball nothing was done for her, but she didn't mind. she knew her step-mom and step-brother weren't fond of her. she really only cares about what her dad thinks of her and he is proud so that's all that matters.

1. he's a pretty good blocker. his job as a right wing is just as much defense as it is offense. he is good at joining a wall quickly and using his long wingspan to his advantage to adjust blocks mid jump.
2. his ability to hype his team up on the court. for being a loudmouth he puts it to good use. never one to give up or show dismay, always lifting his teams spirits, therefore boosting his own.
3. lance has a mighty powerful spike. his biggest strength is his ability to break through many types of blocks with brute force. though he is not the official "ace" of his team, he's known as their secret weapon when it comes to attacks. he also doesn't let his spikes getting blocked get him down, if anything they fuel him to try harder.
player weaknesses.
1. though being a loudmouth can be a strength it can also be a weakness for lance. his antagonizing remarks to the other team can cause them to play harder to show him up or even get him fussed at by the refs. plus some people on his team just want him to shut the hell up, can be a bit annoying at times.
2. tendency to do his own thing sometimes and not pay attention to the team gameplan. this can be frustrating if he isn't where he is supposed to be and the setter wants to set to him or if he isn't in the right place to save a ball from going out.
3. he isn't the best at serving, believe it or not. his accuracy from that far away isn't the best. his serves are very powerful and are hard to receive...if they make it in the court that is. he tends to overshoot and the ball goes out of bounds.
academic strengths.
1. lance is a mathematician. this guy is naturally good at math and excels in those types of classes. surprisingly can do hard equations in his head.
2. good at doing the bare minimum but doing it well. he puts forth just the right amount of effort to get a B and nothing more and nothing less, therefore allowing himself more free time to relax.
3. good at teaching himself, so if he doesn't understand the material in class he can teach himself out of the book or from online sources.
academic weaknesses.
1. not good at taking notes, relies on his noggin to retain info.
2. lance is awful at anything art-related. for one of his elective credits, he took an art class and found out he is not gifted in that way unless it's abstract art.

player strengths.
1. Creativity. If they is one thing Clove knows how to do on the court its create plays no one who plays orthodoxly would even think of. He knowns how to set with one hand, set from below his chest, set from the back line and even set with his feet, though he's more likely to try and score using his feet with both usually ending badly.

2. Perceptive. Clove is very perceptive allowing him to easily figure out where everyone on the court is with only a few glances.

3. Unpredictable. Clove is a very 'last second' type of setter barely ever making a plan and just playing each volley as it comes not thinking about later in the game only thinking about the now. When a ball comes towards him he might choose to set, dump it, or even spike it depending on how he views the situation at hand. Not even Clove knows what he's going to do until it comes right down to the last second.

player weaknesses.
1. Low attention span. Clove is well-known for becoming distracted and losing track of what he was doing. Whether it's something he's noticed in the crowd, he's started talking about something that happened during the previous game, or he's simply stopped paying attention. This frequently forces him to rush some of his sets or, worse, simply let the ball fall past him without paying attention to it until he is dragged back into the game. He also appears to be constantly trying to strike up conversations on the court with anyone he can, much to the frustration of both his teammates and opponents. This affects him not only on the court, but also in strategic meetings, classes, and every other aspect of his life.

2. Creativity/Impulsive. His biggest strengths is also one of his biggest weakness. Clove comes up with new idea's in the middle of a game and often he wants to try them asap and he always tries them at the worst time. It maybe something he sees the other team preform and decides he wants to do it to despite his team not practicing it or even knowing what he is going for. This causes him to set to places where no one is, as he somehow expects his teammates to be able to read his mind or it causes him to try thing he isn't capable of such as jumping float serve just because an opponent pulled one off.

3. Blocking. Clove isn't particularly good at blocking, to put it mildly. He can join in on a wall but isn't much help other than being another number to block paths for a ball. Even average spikers can break his block, and he struggles to figure out which player he should be blocking, frequently following one of the other players in front and using them as a guide. This is due to him thinking about what he would do, often forgetting that he does not play like a normal setter.

academic strengths.
1. Clove's best subject is English.

2. Clove is a very quick learner letting him pick up new subjects with ease. so while he may fall behind from forgetting to hand work in he usually catch's back up pretty quickly.

3. Clove is a very fast writer able to keep up writting as fast as some people can speak. He once proved this by copying a whole class out word for word.

academic weaknesses.
1. Mathematics. Clove overthinks when it comes down to mathematics going into more detail than necessary, then messing up what equation he should use and getting the wrong answer due to this.

2. Clove leaves everything till the last second before having to pull an all nighter in order to finish it.

3. Tardiness. Clove is constantly late or misses his classes often, forgetting he even has a class at that time or on that day.

Setter, male, fun-loving, boisterous, and goofy. Basically raised by his mother, his father was a volleyball coach and got him into the sport at a young age. He was never good enough for his father's standards and was subjected to some very intense training at a young age in an attempt to improve him. That backfired. He now acts uncaring, as if he only plays for fun, frequently attempting to be the light no matter what, cracking jokes and smiling even in the worst games, but more often than not blaming himself for any lacklustre games, after all, he is the brains behind his team as the setter. player strengths.
1. Very determined and hardworking/great attitude. She knows she's not where she needs to be if the team is going to be great, but she makes up for it in her frame of mind. It makes it hard for competitors to mess with her psychologically. She stays put together on the court.
2. High communication. She's very vocal about where she's at on the court and what's happening to keep her teammates alert.
3. One of Trinity's most valuable skills is her ability to read setters. Both her own team's and the opposing's. It's like she has an unspoken conversation with Xiomara(even if Mara isn't listening), and can read her mind. Similarly, she has an uncanny ability to see what's happening with the opposing setter and can usually adjust accordingly. In high school, she never missed a dumped ball and plans to keep that record.
player weaknesses.
1. One of her biggest weaknesses is the fact that she's out of shape. Her stamina is fairly low, and she's slower than she's used to being. This can lead to a lot of frustration, especially when she's subbed out for a breather. She has to take frequent breaks in practice to be able to play most of a full set without stopping during a game. When she runs low on stamina, she gets flustered and has slower reaction times to things that are typically her bread and butter.
2. For being an effective communicator on the court, communication is also one of Trinity's largest weaknesses. Trinity has a protective wall up, and will not communicate her thoughts or feelings outside of a game. She has a habit of bending over backwards to accommodate the rest of the team while simultaneously keeping them at an arms length. She'll get to know them all day long, but she's uncomfortable letting them get to know her. She especially has no intentions of informing anyone of her kid. She's non-confrontational. Has set a low bar for herself. She's not reaching her full potential, and that's because she doesn't have an expectation for herself to do so. She keeps telling herself that she's just how she is and that it's not possible for her to do better because of the changes her body went through after a child. She won't fight for her way to the top. She doesn't fight for the attention, she doesn't fight for more hits, she doesn't fight for a leadership position she'd probably be well-suited for.

pro's & cons.

player strengths.
1. Left hand dominant. It creates a different spin on the ball compared to righthanded players, making it more difficult to receive if you're not used to playing against a lefty. Gives him a mean serve. It used to give him an advantage as a right-side hitter as it was an easier shot for him than those who are righthanded. His lefthanded-ness is now what makes him a good substitute setter, as he can hit or dump the ball more easily from the setting position than righthanded players. It's always been a huge advantage, and part of why he was held in such high regards originally on the team.
2. Strong jumping power. He has some insane legs that let him get up there for high sets. It works great in a pinch when hitting if a set goes awry.
3. Game understanding. He's always ready in case something goes wrong, because he's come up with several back up plans in his mind already. He also has a keen understanding of the game, so he can predict calls and execute his captain's plans perfectly. He responds really well to action on the fly— but only on the court.
player weaknesses.
1. Inexperienced as a setter. Having been a right-side hitter his entire career, he's struggling in his new position. He knows how to set, but is having a hard time getting the precision and control he needs on his sets. He's doing his best, but is easily frustrated by it and any failures he has.
2. Anxious control freak with addiction issues. He needs things to go right or he might lose his mind. He thinks he needs steroids to ever get stronger and stand a chance to return to his starting position. He has an addictive personality and has substance abuse issues with anabolic steroids(which he claims to have quit) and in response to the hard time he was having with his suspension, he's breached into prescription opioids to counteract the withdrawal symptoms he was experiencing from the steroids. He's also been buying benzodiazepines for his anxiety. They affect his mood and his performance(not necessarily positively), and he's constantly thinking about going back on steroids. All because of his need to be in control, to be the best.
3. Communication. It's another reason why he's struggling as a setter. Since being benched, he's pretty shutdown and is practically silent in practices. He still uses hand signals, if he can catch people's eyes, but he stopped calling his receives and such.
academic strengths. two school related things they excel at like being super organized or having a really good memory + one subject they are particularly good at[delete this sentence]
1. Mathematics. He's an computer science major and has to take a lot of math classes, which come naturally to him.
2. Critical thinking. Matt has some serious critical thinking skills and has an easy type analyzing things instead of just taking them at face value. He's got some great problem solving skills, making it easy for him to do more straight-forward classes like english and math.
3. Organized. With school, he's pretty much a minimalist, so he doesn't lose anything and keeps track of things very well.

Formerly the star right-side hitter of the team, his left-handedness gave him an advantage for a right-side hitter as it made him easier to hit the ball and put a slightly different spin on it. Volleyball was his life, his only passion, so he turned to performance enhancing drugs both to make him stronger and to speed up his recovery after games. player strengths.
1. Because she isn't that strong she is a successful blocker by being technical and good at reading the court so she can find the most accurate time to jump and block the ball.
2. Double-jointed; so when spikers hit the ball to her hard and it bends her fingers back unlike everyone else it doesn't hurt/affect her.
3. Ability to psych out opponents; With her harsh and bitchy attitude Jiselle has the ability to get her opponents riled up and lose focus on the game at hand, causing them more likely to mess up.
player weaknesses.
1. Doesn't have very strong blocks so if a spiker hits her head on it is pretty easy to break through her block.
2. Poor endurance so if she overdoes it early on by the second half of the game she is jumping lower and her blocks are much weaker.
3. Bad balance; whenever she comes down from blocking she stumbles and on multiple occasions has stepped under the net, which is illegal.
academic strengths.
1. Pretty good memory ~~when sober~~; Remembers strategies and plays pretty quickly without much effort. Also uses that memory to hold grudges.
2. Very good at writing and literature.
3. Very good at analyzing situations and coming up with ideas.
academic weaknesses.
1. Always showing up late for practices, tests, classes, and every once and a while games; from her nights of drinking it is almost impossible to wake her.
2. Very bad at mathematics; specifically when it comes to trigonometry.

short blurb. Jiselle grew up with absent parents most of her life because they were working constantly for a technology company they were starting. Growing up whenever her parents were around they were pretty snarky and very intimidating so she adapted that to her own personality outside of being home. So Jiselle wasn't bored at home with just her nanny she decided to join a club and quickly fell in love with volleyball. However, she didn't train much past high school to get better after being invited to a party and drinking for the first time and falling in love with losing control. - Got Patellar Tendonitis his senior year; aka jumpers knee, which is when a player's tendon that connects the kneecap to the bone becomes inflamed; his physical therapy did not do well and he needed surgery for it which is why his recovery took a lot longer.
- This is why he lost his scholarship to Stanford and came to Summit and why he plays pretty safe on the court now.

Left-wing player who Injured himself his junior yr of high school and had a long hard recovery. Due to this, he lost his full-ride scholarship to Stanford University and had to change colleges to Summit Academy. When he came back to volleyball towards the end of his senior yr season he no longer played the same. If the plays weren’t easy to him he wouldn’t take them, he was no longer taking the risks as he couldn’t bear the idea of getting hurt again. Since that injury, he hasn't gone for the hard plays and always plays it safe on the court. He trains hard but doesn’t go over the limit and he constantly reminds the others to take breaks too. He enjoys the sport still but not nearly as much as he used to since he’s still scared in a sense.

Lucinda is incredibly tall for a women standing at 6'7. She has long hair that has been nearly every colour possible, current it is a shade of grey. She has piercing blue eyes. Her body is very skinny and while struggling she has not been able to put weight or muscle on it. She has incredibly pale skin which goes nicely with the large amount of eye liner and mascara she often wears.

pro's & cons.

player strengths.

1. Blocking specialist. Lucinda gained a reputation for being a defensive based player in high school. She excels at being able to read the path of a toss and set up a block directly in the path of the spiker in an attempt to shut down the spiker in a timely and intimidating manner. She likes to strike fear into her opponents and attempt to shake them off their game so she does her best to at least get a hand on as many spikes as possible even if she isn't successful at blocking them.

2. Jump serve. Lucinda has a mean jump serve full of power that is moderately accurate. By using less power she can aim it much better able to target individual players, but usually she uses full power which makes a fast and unruly serve that could go in or out. Using full power she has a 60% chance to get the serve in.

3. Strength. Lucinda is incredibly strong and knows it. Her leg strength allows her to easily jump higher than most mixing that in with her height leads to a mean vertical. Her real strength however lies in her arms evident in her serve and spike. Lucinda is a powerhouse able to break people's blocks with just pure power. This helps her out massively defensively as it means only the strongest (or at least smarter) spikers can break her block, or even beat her in a joust.

player weaknesses.

1. Attacking/Spiking. Lucinda has never played with a real setter before the setter she had in high school was lackluster at best and rarely actually set any plays. This has caused Lucinda to not have much experience on the attacking side of volleyball and while she can spike her idea of a spike is just to smack the ball as hard as possible and hope it goes in.

2. Teamwork. Lucinda picked the worst high school possible for volleyball, it was a high school where you have to have at least one activity and volleyball happened to be the one that most people picked in order to avoid doing anything. Most the people in the team had no interest in the sport and due to this Lucinda found herself mostly playing alone, while her teammates we're forced to play none of them were skilled or put any effort in and the school ended with an abysmal record. She isn't used to playing as a team and often bumps into her teammates, takes over plays not meant for her, and overall can be a nuance to her teammates. Lucinda was lucky enough to get scouted thanks to her last game in high school where it was her opponents who had caught the eyes of the coach from verious college's but Lucinda ended up being picked.

3. Lumpish. Lucinda is lazy and this effects every aspect of her life. She rarely is upto date with her college work and often falls behind, or just ends up completely forgetting to do it. In volleyball it takes her a while to 'wake up' while not being a hindrance to her team she definitely let's them down, it usually takes the better part of a set (roughly between 25 and 40 points depending on how the game is going and if she has any motivation to play) for her to 'wake up' and start playing at her potential. In every other aspect of life she is usually very late to everything being the last to arrive.

academic strengths.
1. Memory. Strangely enough Lucinda has an amazing memory and can memorise things with ease.

2. Maths. Lucinda is incredibly quick when it comes down to math while she hates to expain how she got to an answer she can make it to an answer nonetheless nearly effortlessly.

3. Rushing. While not an amazing skill in itself Lucinda doesn't let herself get stressed whenever she is nearing a due date and will usually rush to finish it as quickly as possible.

academic weaknesses.

1. Lazy. If it isn't apparent by now Lucinda is lazy and this effects her in college as she barely listens during lectures, forgets due dates, and overall doesn't pay attention.

2. Unorganized. Lucinda never is prepaired for anything unless someone reminds her she needs it. Stemming to the point where she has forgot her whole volleyball uniform on the way to a game.

3. English. Honestly Lucinda hates English with a burning passion, she finds writing the language tedious and overall a hassle and has some of the worst handwriting you'll ever see.

short blurb. If her personality could be described in one word, it would be lumpish. She acts very slowly and lethargic. Even in serious situations, she is constantly joking around and acting childishly. Despite the fact that she was admitted to college on a scholarship, she frequently claims that she only plays volleyball because she is good at it. Very similar to a bear coming out of hibernation, it takes a lot to get her warmed up once she does she's a force to be reckoned with. She appears to have a personal vendetta against anyone who expresses enthusiasm for the sport, frequently focusing on shutting them down in a cruel and sadistic manner. She grew up as an orphan, moving from home to home for most of her life until she was 15 and was finally adopted by a nice elderly couple. Volleyball was her escape from her hardships in life, while nowadays she mostly acts like she has no passion for the sport she still loves it dearly. She's a scholarship student having stolen the show during her last game in high school against a much stronger team, her own high school team being notoriously bad and known to be lazy Lucinda having been pissed off by the other teams enthusiasm showed off skills far beyond what her team was known for and while they didn't win Lucinda seemed to have made an impact.
