Eva is quite the stunning woman. Her hair is long and full, and her skin is smooth and light. Her body is lean, but not from the typical day of work muscle. She keeps a blindfold on at all times, and when others ask to see her eyes, she politely declines with a smile.
Personality: Eva is not a hard worker. She does not care for dedicating large amounts of time to anything hard, and would rather prefer if everything came her way with a ribbon on top. That said, she is not a push over, and when others try to take advantage of her she does everything in her power to make life miserable for them. She is also not unkind per say, but to her everything has a cost. If someone wants them they should be able to afford it, because her costs are not cheap.
Bio:
Before she was transformed, Eva worked as a local fortune teller. Her readings were extremely accurate, and so she built a large clientele. In truth, she had practiced projection, enchantment, and prediction magic from an early age as her mother was a magic scholar. Despite breaking ties with her mother after some disagreements, Eva started life as a con in a way, telling her city that she had "mystical powers" that were given to her by god. In truth, she combines her three most known magics to gauge the most likely immediate future of her clients. Of course, as only the commoners would be interested in that sort of thing, she was believed.
When the knights came, they came only because of the rumors she had powerful abilities. They trashed her shop when she kicked and screamed, and by the time that the ritual had been completed, Eva swore she'd get them back for whatever it was they did to her. One way or another.
One thing is for sure. Those powers she lied about had finally come.

Weapon Of Choice: Daggers

Magical Abilities:
-Eva can use basic enchantment spells (self writing quills, alarms that ring whenever someone crosses a certain threshold, etc)
-Eva is proficient in projection magic (can "summon" images of what she wants. Maps, faces, even gold. The drawback is all of these are fake and can not hold their form without the casters constant influence.)
-Prediction Magic. Before the ritual, Eva could perform a ritual of her own that would allow her to see the most likely event that will occur in a persons life in the far future. These things include something like gold coming in their lives, getting mugged, getting sick.
After the ritual however, her most used magic has evolved into something else, almost like it really is ingrained into her body.

Strengths:
-Predict. Eva can predict immediate futures, such as when an enemy is attacking and from which angle. Furthermore, with focus Eva can see further into the future and see the most likely event that is going to occur. She can focus on seeing which event.
-Dagger. Being on the street after leaving her family, Eva had to protect herself before getting her start. She hung around a lot of the rougher parts and made friends with gangs in order to get some kind of protection. It was there they taught her to use a dagger.
-Persuasive/fabricator. Eva is a con through and through. She didn't get her start by being honest, and had to really sell her acts.
Weaknesses:
-Eva could never overpower someone who has had fighting experience, as she has only dealt with purse snatchers. While the ritual upper her body strength and natural reflexes (more so because of her ability) she could not face someone head on.
-Eva is onset by what is present and what is not. She can not control her visions now, and occasionally can see too far in to the future towards a changing death. Sleep is no comfort either, as her power is heightened in her dreams. During her visions, she gets extraordinarily quiet and will even stop moving, as her mind is literally elsewhere.

Personality: Comes off as cold hearted and rude to people he doesn't know or trust. In reality though, he's fiercely loyal to his friends and will be the first to launch himself into danger if it means protecting them. People often try to put him in charge but he willingly passes that off. People see this as laziness, in reality it gives him the ability to disappear if the time ever comes for it.


Bio: Simon grew up as a relatively normal kid. His father did odd jobs around town while his mother stayed home and watched over him and his siblings. From a young age, he had an interest in the knights that often paraded through town, riding on beautiful horses and wearing fancy armor. He started learning how to use a sword with a wooden one, first teaching himself then by watching the guards in town. Over time, he caught their interest and they started teaching him with actual training swords until he was able to skillfully wield a real sword, beating even the most seasoned of guards.
His parents were proud, which was the only thing that really mattered to him. At some point though, his father started disappearing for longer periods of time, coming back worn down and sometimes hurt. Though his family worried for him, he wouldn't tell them what was wrong. The amount of food that was being put on the table was more plentiful than before, so no one dared to ask.
Until it reared its ugly head.
Simon's father, unknowing to the rest of the family, had gotten into some shady business which paid him back with death. Simon has no clue how it happened, but when he went to sleep that night everything was peaceful. Then he woke to the fire. He tried to get his family out but by the time the smoke and heat and woke him up, there was nothing he could do. He was the lone survivor of the accident.
The next few months he spent looking for the people responsible of the deaths of his family. Then the knights came. The very people who he looked up to as a child dragged him away from his life, forced him to give up his search, and forced him through his transformation.

Weapon Of Choice: Sword

Magical Abilities:
(He didn't have any knowledge in magic before his transformation.)
Dawn's Light: He can activate the gem on his sword, causing it brighten. This can momentarily blind anyone in range and cause the sword to deal additional fire damage when hit with it. Only he can activate the gem.
Magic Sense: His right eye can see the presence of any magical signatures, though unless he knows the magic or item specifically, he has no knowledge about it.

Strengths:
-He’s had a lot of practice with swords. There's little he doesn't know about them.
- His right eye allows him to see magical signatures, but unless he knows specifically what it is, he won't be able to tell what it does.

Weaknesses:
-His brash personality tends to push people away rather than bring them in.
-Terrible with ranged combat, he has to be up close and personal.
-When he's wearing his eye patch, he's essentially blind on one side. While he has gotten used to it a little (since it's only been a problem since his transformation), he can still be surprised from that side if someone is stealthy enough.

Meliea is a human (I drew the wrong race) with tan skin and unnaturally long black hair. She wears a pair of antelope-like antlers for ascetic purposes.

Personality:
Bio: Abandoned as a child for unknown reasons, Meliea was raised by a small tribe of secluded clerics and druids in the forest. During her youth, Meliea was taught how to use druidic magics and spent a very generous amount of time surrounded by nature. One day, a party of troops were sent by the city to clear the tribe of people out. Her tribe was taken to the city and trialed for the uses of demonic witchcraft and were to be burned. Meliea, being the youngest and most influenceable, was brought before the Royal Guard who offered her a deal. Either she joined their cause or she burned with there people. Knowing this was the only way to spread the beliefs and teachings of her people, she begrudgingly accepted.

Strengths:
Knows way too much about the natural world and survival tactics. Training by Dryad happens to be a very effective way to learn powerful magics. She's incredibly resourceful.
Weaknesses:
She is very unknowing of the man-made world but is very untrusting of it. Meliea can not hold her own in hand to hand combat and her bow training is mediocre at best.

Extra
She will tell you about the wilderness if you ask her, she will tell you about the wilderness if you don't ask her, but once she starts telling you about the wilderness, you will have to knock her unconscious to get her to stop.

Appearance: Cardinal, often considered quite attractive in his home down, is something of a stunner. His medium-length, straight red hair is striking, as are his golden eyes. Under his favorite jacket and other clothes, his body is surprisingly lean and athletically muscled. Often he has a friendly, yet self-assured smile on his face.

Personality: Cardinal is kind, gentle, enthusiastic and optimistic. He is loathe to show the pain he feels, and would instead make others smile. He attempts to make friends with whomever he meets, knowing that friends are better than enemies. However, when roused to anger he is relentless, and will face down his opponent face to face, attacking them relentlessly until they fall.

Bio: Cardinal had a simple life, and a simple life was all he wanted. His father, a master blacksmith, had married his mother young and settled down with his craft, creating all sorts of weapons for noble people and heroes. Though Cardinal often appreciated the heroic lifestyle of some of the customers, he admired his father more. He took up the hammer and, when he was old enough, put it to hot metal. His first creation was a strange thing, a weapon twice as tall as he was at the time, wide as his father's muscled arm, and much heavier than he could swing. However, with his father's praise on his attempt, he dove deep into his craft, even attracting attention of some of the village girls.

This would change on his 19th birthday. A Royal Knight came into the shop, and ordered a sword from his father. Of course, the master agreed and set to work. That nigh, there was a break-in. His father, working late, got into a scuffle that woke Cardinal up. The young man came down the stairs in time to see a masked figure run his blade through his father's chest. Eyes red with rage, Cardinal grabbed his Zanbato and charged out after the assailant. He screamed and shouted until he finally caught up with the figure, running him through with the Zanbato. It was only then that he saw.. it was the Royal Knight who had ordered the sword. And he was surrounded by others.

That night, Cardinal was dragged away. He never even got to see if his father was alright...

Magical Abilities: With a single touch and light concentration, Cardinal can heat an item up to burn hotter than a forge - melting stones, making metal glow with heat... He himself is unharmed by this heat, but when he makes the blade of his sword white-hot, it can cut through bodies like a hot knife through warm butter. He often uses this power to be creative, as well, heating ores and ingots to become something of a travelling forge himself. His golden eyes glow brighter the hotter he makes something burn.

Strengths
  • Master's Son - Being the son of a master smith, Cardinal knows the in and outs of weapon crafting. He can very easily make careful adjustments, or maintain his and the weapons of others. He can even, given materials, craft an entirely new weapon.
  • Responsibly Powerful - Since his ritual, he has found himself able to lift his favored weapon as if it was a mere fraction of its weight. His fighting style of large, heavy strikes belies the truth that he can be as quick and deft with his Zanbato than a master swordsman with a smaller weapon.

Weaknesses
  • Bleeding Heart - Cardinal is a kind boy, ands his ordeal hasn't changed that. Should someone start to cry or show signs of pain, he will do his best to alleviate this pain. Injustice doesn't sit well with him, and unless reigned in is prone to rash actions. This also manifests in being too trusting.
  • Romantically Awkward - Cardinal - the hopeless romantic he is - has very little actual experience with the subject. Should he find someone attractive to his tastes, he will begin to blush around them, and will become somewhat nervous. Should someone flirt with him or otherwise show romantic attention, he will begin to stutter and lose his words. This is easily taken advantage of with teases and similar.
  • There's only one for me - Cardinal has been with his personal weaponry for a long time, keeping it very well maintained after his crafting of it. However, this has now manifested in a singular focus. Put any other weapon in his hand - even one identical to his own personal weapon - he'll be as useless as the newest novice.

Extra
If you want to know about weaponry, crafting and combat styles, he's the guy to ask. Although some would argue not, as he can easily get carried away. He also heavily romanticizes romance, liking the starry night sky among other things.

Vik is an archer, an unusual class for a former gladiator. Though, he does keep a shortsword with him in case enemies get close. Overall, his hunting bow is his primary weapon. For ammunition, Vik uses whatever arrows he can get his hands on. Most likely makeshift arrows when surviving in the wilderness for a while. For larger targets, he'll coat the tips in poison. Lastly, Vik normally wears light leather. If necessary, an iron mask when hiding his identity./div]

Strengths & Weaknesses

Vik is most proficient when it comes to archery and close combat. However, he prefers distance ever since learning how to use a bow. He also knows how to work well in the wilderness, surviving for weeks if needed. When it comes to civilization, Vik can struggle in certain situations. He was a slave for most of his childhood, so his Common isn't as good as most, and he doesn't know much about culture. Being a slave also effects his combat style. He's more reckless and sloppy since everything is basically self taught.

Normally, Vik holds his grudges against most people who are high class, for those are people he dealt with a lot as a enslaved gladiator. Ever since earning his freedom, he learned to loosen up, but is still weary against the nobles. Vik tends to act more like himself around other commoners though, more middle class than peasants. Being in a class lower than peasants, he knows that most of the poor would try to steal or murder their way up the chain.

Vik doesn't like to hold back in combat. When he was a gladiator, he was always taught survival of the fittest, and to always kills his opponent. It's the same way now, unless convinced otherwise. Yes, he does hate mistreatment of others, but doesn't like to interfere unless it benefits him since nobody else was there for him when he needed it the most.[/div]

There isn't much known about Vik's past. He was simply sold into slavery for a high price. Apparently children sold well for several reasons. When reaching adolescence, his owner turned him into a gladiator to win some money. It started out rough, but as Vik gained more skill and experienced, his owner went for more competitive events. Vik had nearly died several times, but with some luck he managed to remain on top. Eventually, one tournament won him his freedom. It was obvious that Vik got as far away from his so called home as possible. He felt guilt leaving the other slaves behind, but he told himself that he earned his way out of the slave status. The others should do the same.

Being a slave his whole life cause Vik to struggle with civilization. He was just far better off in the wilderness, but he knew that he needed supplies from time to time. He'd travel around for a while, searching for a place where he'd think he could belong. It was hard to find that paradise though, especially since Vik is shy around most people. Even then, the former slave plans to complete this search some time in his life. [/div][/div][/div][/div][/div]

Varen is a....reasonably handsome fellow, all things considered. Yes, he has plenty of faded burn scars on his face, but they're almost gone. Yes, he may look a little pale and sallow, but overall, his features are handsome. He is thin as a stick, but can one blame him? He can't seem to gain any muscle- or fat, for that matter.

Varen also has numerous tattoos and brands across his body, though they are mainly centralized along his arms. Generally, they are magical runes, meant to enhance his fire magic, though some have appeared thanks to the ritual.

Varen's eye are an ash grey color, and seem to reflect simultaneously his disinterest in those around him and his keen intelligence and cunning.

Personality:
Varen is a quiet fellow, who prefers to silently cast his spells, with as little noise as possible, unlike many of his fiery headed, brash contemporaries. His quietness leads to him having an academic, and slightly predatory, air about him. As such, people tend to look upon him with suspicion when he speaks. Not that his reputation his not entirely undeserved- after all, he can be a slight sadist- in the intellectual manner- and pyromaniac, in addition to enjoying the thrill of the hunt.

However, this is not to say that he's an evil person. He does intend to do good, even though he may be slightly destructive in his tendencies at times. Though, again, that's not indicative that he's always destructive- he mainly keeps such tendencies in check. The same concept goes- largely- to his sadistic nature. He keeps it in check, and when it does pop up (which is normally after he is winning.), he ensures that it doesn't get in the way of his objectives.

However, despite Varen's attempts to be morally good, that doesn't translate well into people skills. He tends to be cold and distant to most people, and even to friends he can seem a bit harsh. Furthermore, he can be quite ruthless when crushing an enemy or an annoyance. And annoyances can come to him quite easily, if achieved in the right manner.

Varen is, despite all of these flaws, a loyal person. It's just that Varen is a bit of a...tsundere when showing his friendship. He attempts to rationalize and justify his helping of friends for other reasons. He gives advice, but blusters-quietly- when someone points that out. Whenever he sees a friend in trouble, he will extend himself- and even push himself- to help them, even if he will deny the reasons afterwards.

An excellent way of gaining Varen's friendship is to engage with him on an intellectual level. Though, that's not a guarantee, as he will sometimes find a person's argument... tiresome.

Varen also isn't uninterested in the opposite gender. He is a guy, after all. Its just that...not many girls find his personality appealing. And so he resigned himself to that. Furthermore, he maintains some standards about whom he would choose for a partner- mainly in that the partner also be intelligent.
Bio:
Varen was born in a a small city- larger than a town, yet not quite a metropolis. His father was a well known alchemist, while his mother was a baker. Not the most glamorous lifestyle. However, Varen always carried the spark of magic within him. Although, it was destructive at times, it managed to get tidied up. His parents knew that he was a magic user, but unfortunately, they couldn't send him off to school, yet. In the meantime, Varen's father taught him his letters and and grammar and whatnot.

Varen's father was always a bit... stern. He took a methodical approach to alchemy, in order to reduce the risk. This made his demeanor a bit...dour and sarcastic. Perhaps some of that attitude transferred to Varen, but it was effective in teaching Varen- at least somewhat- that an orderly approach should be necessary in some cases. His mother, on the other hand, helped dampen that attitude, and realize that yes, friends were important. Yes, teamwork is nessecary. However, Varen had always favored his father.

When Varen reached 15, he applied to the famous College of Elemental Magic. This four year college did exactly what the name said: it taught its users how to use elemental magic. And even better, this school had the church's investment. As such, this school was an old, advanced school with a rich history. And it gained a brilliant student: Varen.

When Varen applied for the pyromancy element, most assumed the archetypal of him: That he was a brash, hotheaded fool. They couldn't be further from the truth. As such, he didn't garner many friends in his elemental area, but because of his brooding nature, many others in the other elemental areas avoided him. That's not to say he was totally friendless in this environment: He managed to make friends with one or two people, and soon showed his tsundere loyalty.

When Varen graduated from the college six months ago, he decided to simply set off. The school taught him everything they had to offer, but Varen wanted to discover more. However, this attitude lured him into a trap: A ritual, meant to increase his power, at a price. This process was extremely painful; however, Varen couldn't retaliate, as he was also cursed with a weakness. And because his captors were stronger than him. As such, he is forced to do tasks he never wanted to do in the first place. Though, he does wonder in the back of his mind: could he enjoy such adventures? The promise of companionship, adventure and risk, and puzzles keeps his mind divided about his captivity.

Magical Abilities:
-Fire Magic:
What do you expect? Varen is a pyromancer. Through and Through. The main aspect it takes it straight up evocation magic. As in, blasting enemies with fire. With this facet, it's an insanely powerful force. Though, it does have the unfortunate chance of blowing up in his face. Another aspect he puts this magic to use is abjuration. This facet can be further split into two subcategories: Physical and Supportive. Physical Abjuration is simply put, making fire for defensive reasons, such as fire walls or wreathing allies in flame. Supportive Abjuration is enhancing allies with Fire- think fire resistance and whatnot. A third facet Varen does is Enchantment, though he isn't really all the excellent in that aspect. What this is is adding fire enhancements to weapons and shields and the like.
*Varen's fire magic was affected by the ritual. He can now combine different elements to his fire magic, with the exception of water.

-Elemental Magic: Varen can also use other elements in his magic, though he is nowhere near as skilled with these elements as fire. Water is his worst element. Wind and Darkness seems to be the better of the elemental magic he can use.

-Other forms of magic: Varen is well-versed in the theories of other magics- even necromancy. After all, know thy enemy. However, from time to time, he concentrates on a specific topic in order to learn the physical aspects of it. Though, he has only come to that conclusion recently.

-Rudimentary Summoning: Really, Varen can summon only low level imps, and some relatively higher level fire elementals, but that's about it for now. (Why did he decide to try summoning? Eh, a couple of reasons. First off: Meatshields. After all, he is a caster. Secondly, he may have read too many eastern comics... :xFwink:)


Strengths:
-Staff-work skills: Well, Varen has a double bladed staff. He wouldn't have one if he couldn't put it to good use.

-Academic and Trade Knowledge: Varen has studied many subjects. Alchemy in particular. Furthermore, Varen also knows the basics of a couple of trades, though that doesn't necessarily mean that he can translate it into practical skill. I mean, can you imagine Varen in carpentry?

-Analytical and Tactical: Despite his...pyromaniac tendencies... Varen is incredibly analytical, and tends to think along a train of logic when performing fire experiments. Along the same lines, Varen is also thinks tactically- he tends to plan ahead in battles, and he always excelled in games such as chess.

Weaknesses:
-Cold, Distant, and slightly Sadistic:
The title says it all: Varen tends to show little emotion, unless it's when throwing fireballs. Then, he has a smile on his face. (the equivalent of maniac laughter for him.) However, don't think he does this all the time. Well, at least the sadism part.

-Not the strongest: Varen isn't the strongest person around. While he can hold his own in a fight and block from time to time, he tends to block via parries and deflections, not straight on blocking in the literal sense. A fighter can bear down on him with some ease, even despite his enhanced strength.

-Tug of war: Whenever Varen uses his ritual power of combining elements with his fire element, he has to be careful, as using too much of one element can lead to a messy, explosive ending for the spell. While still in Varen's hands.

-Cannot use the Water element: Self explanatory- Varen cannot use water elemental magic at all. He can use fire magic while in water, but it's power is reduced.

Extra:
Varen hates bugs. With a fiery passion. He will burn bugs on sight, if they intrude his private circle. Varen also enjoys Eastern drawings and stories- particularly the eastern comics.

Personality: Nondaya can be brash and bold, but ultimately she moves and acts for what she deems as right, usually anything falling under the teachings of the Church of the Benevolent. People have said that her positivity is infectious until she becomes over zealous and messes something up. Nondaya is fiercely loyal to those around her and whom ever she deems important to her or her mission.

Bio:Nondaya was found in the middle of the road, during a thunder storm. She was found by a caravan of apostles spreading the teachings of the church, they took her in as their own and raised her. Nondaya's childhood was simple and unorthodox, growing under the teachings she tried to always do the right thing, even though she was a little over excitable and usually ended up making things worse. When she was 10 she was taught about the traditions and responsibilities of a nun. In the church the nuns, were the warriors of the gods, they stood for everything that is right and virtuous under the church's teachings, and hearing this made Nondaya's spark of enthusiasm shocked everyone within the church.

Nondaya's training started at 12, and she was stated, by herself, to be the top of her class. The training was vigorous and is deadly, all aspiring nuns are warned that they could die, but their death would not be in vane as their death will be in name of the church and the gods. Without any second thoughts, or any thoughts at all, Nondaya jumped at every challenges and conquered them,

Weapon Of Choice: Thunder's Edge - A blade passed down through out the Church of the Benevolent, that will choose its wielders. It is stated that it was a gift from one of the 8 gods, but nobody is completely sure of the true history. It does increase the user's lighting magic.
Second Wind - Nondaya's shield that she carries in honor of her former mentor who went missing.

Magical Abilities: (Please describe the scope of your powers.)
Lighting Magic - Before the Ritual, Nondaya was able to generate a moderate amount of electricity and channel it through Thunder's Edge. Without her sword she was able launch electricity a few feet, increase her speed, and teleport short distances, but with Thunder's Edge her skills increases. With the sword she is able to channel electricity through it, and also through Second Wind, able to launch electric strikes from the blade and teleport farther. After the ritual, Nondaya is able to call upon a lightining storm, of which she can't control, and absorb lighting strikes through her newly grown horns.
Wind Magic - Before the Ritual, Nondaya was able create sufficient gust of winds from her hands, feet, and mouth that she usually used defensively. She was also able to glide with this and achieve amazing feats of agility and acrobatics. After the ritual, Nondaya is now capable of making wind blades whenever she throws gusts of winds and even make small tornados and wind spouts that are able lift people and other objects. Her favorite new ability is creating wings of wind and flying freely.

Strengths:
Willing Participate - Nondaya chose to be a Chronicler and belivese in the mission she is on, to exterminate the monsters for the Church.
Cooperative -This young woman is generally easy to work with and even fight with. Most people gel with Nondaya like easily and find her overly positive demeanor uplifting.

Weaknesses:
All or nothing - Nondaya's life is made and based around the church, this causes her to put all of her faith and decisions in the church's teachings. This has also caused her to do, what some would call, heinous acts, although she believes they are justified by the gods
Dead Battery - Nondaya can actually "Kill her battery" by using to much electricity in a fight, and with

She subconsciously knows the church is hiding something, but she is afraid to investigate and even admit it.
 
Just a couple things! Do all of our characters know each other at this point? And for everyone who doesn't know, the rp thread has been made. (I hadn't realized until just now. Whoops.)
