Hey Sherwood Sherwood ? Would you take a look at this and tell me whatcha think (or anyone for that matter)? I'm bored tonight (big surprise!) and if you're bored too, here are some curiosities I figured I'd see how you felt about (not only for the sake of conversation but for the rest of the party if perhaps they might benefit from any of these ideas too)?

Some of my questions here have notes to myself that I figured I'd share because that's what RPing is all about! There are items below I'd like to find and purchase. I want to see if you as our GM are O.K. with them and, if so, I'll have Snowfall ask about them in-game. And if not, no biggie. =) So... 10 questions for Sherwood begins now! =)

1. Are these scope combinations okay to purchase?
Optics (Game Master Guide, page 180)
1. Laser Targeting (+3 to Strike) 2,000 credits.
2. Telescopic Scope (looking for 6,000 foot range). 1,000 credits.
3. Thermo-Imager (2,000 foot range). 12,000 credits.
4. Passive night-vision (starlight scope-style, 2,000 foot range, in case others want to use it). 6,000 credits.
(Total: 21,000 credits. Purchase 3 such scopes?)

2. Does Moloch have the NG-P7 Northern Gun Particle beam rifle for 22k? (Game Master Guide, page 158. Single-shot which allows for Called Shots, needs suppressor, with suppressor, 600 foot range). Suppressor adds 75,000 credits to the total.

3. How about a J-12 Laser Rifle (Game Masters Guide, page 145. Laser weapon; renders suppressor moot, but does bursts for best damage which can't be used for Called Shots. Incredible range, damage, and payload for a laser rifle. And come to think of it, how much of the Coalition Army uses laser-resistant material? Besides Free Quebec's Glitter Boys, I can't think of any and I don't know if Free Quebec is still loyal in Sherwood's timeline?).

4. Is Free Quebec still allied to the Coalition States in your game?

5. How much is Moloch charging for Long E-clips? (Buy lots of Long E-clips for both weapons if they're available).

6. Is there such thing as an E-Clip generator/restorer we could buy? Maybe something Snowfall could purchase and add to the Badger if Terra liked the idea? It would save us trips to town to reload E-clips.

7. Concerning the damage-increasing crystals you introduced to the game years ago - I remember Gradicus buying some for his swords. Are the crystals usable only for rune weapons?

8. If they are usable for rune weapons, what happens if they're added to a ranged rune weapon like the Dragon Rod?

9. Besides the Dragon Rod, I can't find any other energy-based ranged rune weapons that fall under W.P. Energy Rifle. Do you know of any? Does Moloch sell them?

10. Could Snowfall attach the Fraggle Rock Sword Fragarach sword to his Dragon Rod perhaps as a bayonet?
1. Not a problem. Three are easily acquired

2. Yes. Do you wish one?

3. The J-12 is a bit rare, but it can be acquired.

4. Free Quebec is currently fracturing off from the CS, with lots of tensions between Chi Town and Free Quebec

5. Moloch gives three clips for any weapon purchase, either long or short.

6. With the nuclear power plant of the Badger, it has plenty of power to recharge e-clips, and an adapter can be purchased for 200,000 credits

7. The crystals work with any melee weapon you attach it to.

8. Something of the magic of the crystal doesn't work with ranged weapons.

9. I am not aware of any other ranged rune weapons in the books besides things like the Splurgoth Power Staff, but it makes sense to me that there would be something along those lines besides the Dragon Wand. A rune weapon using lightning energy as its primary attack force is in Moloch's inventory, but it will be pricy.

10. The sword can be taped or otherwise fastened to the wand, but it will not be as effective as if it were being used as a standard melee weapon. Not well balanced, and any serious hit runs the risk of removing the bayonet sword from the wand.

Oh? I will have Snowfall ask about this rune weapon in the hopes he has the right weapon proficiency. =) I will be surprised if this item out does the Dragon Rod's electrical attack, but hey! It's Rifts so you never know!

I need my hover cycle stats. And I need help figuring out which MD body armor I have.

BUT OTHERWISE I’M DONE AND READY TO PLAY!

Whew. Wow.

Hooray! Oh, didn't Sherwood tell you? In his game, armor-wise, Cyber-knights begin play with Cyber-Speedos (your choice of color)! It's only got 1.25 M.D.C., but all the girls will just love you in it!

Oh, and due to a new update in the Cyber-knight code, you have to wear it on the outside of your outfit. You know, all loud and proud like Cameo here?

"Cameo - Word Up"
Start at the 0:43 mark if you want to see what I mean!

I'm always here to help! Ha ha!

I was wondering when I'd get my MD speedo!? Buckle up ladies!

And for extra credit, in the video, can somebody tell me who that cool cat is in the role of the top cop? =)

I just got home from three days in the hospital from my stomach troubles, and I have a bunch to catch up on. WlfSamurai WlfSamurai I have a few items of gear for you to start out with that I'll send your way shortly.

In order to keep the game from stalling in the middle of the shopping spree, I am going to make a final call for any goods you wish to get from Moloch (or any other merchant) so we can move on.

WlfSamurai WlfSamurai I have picked out a few goodies for you that I hope you'll enjoy. First, you have a suit of Leaf Armor that was given to you in England from one of the great Millennium Trees. It provides you with 100 MDC protection, and so long as it is not totally destroyed, it will regenerate 3d6 MDC per minute. It is clearly made from living leaves, and (usually) an evil person will have a very oogy feel wearing any armor from a Millennium Tree, so for those in the know, it is a good way to break the ice by showing you are a good aligned person.

You also have a magic warhammer with the following stats:
This rune weapon is typically an axe or blunt weapon like a mace
or war hammer with the head of a dragon as part of its design.
Possesses the eight standard abilities plus the following.
• Spell Magic: Can cast these spells as often as three times each, per
24 hours: Invulnerability, levitation, summon rain, and calm storms.
Equal to an 8th level sorcerer.
1D4X 10 M.D. and releases a thunderclap whenever it strikes.
Throwing range is 300 feet (91.5 m) and the weapon magically
returns after it strikes.
It is a potent knock-off of Thor's famous hammer, Mjolnir. It is hardly a stealth weapon, so keep that in mind when you are trying to be sneaky.

Sherwood Sherwood While I can appreciate the desire to continue the story now, I don't feel comfortable until Psychie comes back online. It's not going to be the same without her here.

Any idea when she'll return?

As for shopping... =) Per your post, and in the hopes of distracting you from your medical woes ( =) ), I would like Snowfall to purchase the following from Moloch:

1. Four of the scopes I described above (21,000 credits each).

2. Two NG-P7 Northern Gun Particle beam rifles with 3 Long E-clips for 22,000 credits each? (Game Master Guide, page 158. Single-shot which allows for Called Shots, needs suppressor, with suppressor, 600 foot range). Suppressor adds 75,000 credits to the total (97,000 credits).

3. 6 extra power cells for the suppressor. Price?

4. One J-12 Laser Rifle (Game Masters Guide, page 145) with 3 Long E-clips for 50,000 credits.

5. A case of 50 micro-fusion grenades (the kind that do 6D6 M.D.) if available? Price, please?

6. If Psychie/Terra allows it, this adapter for the (Honey?) Badger for 200,000 credits. "With the nuclear power plant of the Badger, it has plenty of power to recharge e-clips, and an adapter can be purchased for 200,000 credits."

7. Two "medium" melee crystals (one lightning, one acid) for 3,000,000 credits of this variety: "Next level up will be 1,500,000 and that will boost your damage by 6d6 MD."

8. I would like all of the details Snowfall can get his little paws on concerning the rune weapon described below? I'd like to seriously compare it to his Dragon Rod and see whether or not it is worth adding to Snowfall's collection, please.

9. Digging through Snowfall's old pick-ups, I'd also be interested in seeing if Moloch is in the market for those parts of Mechanoid Overlord and Brains he received from the Mechanoid Fortress battle?

10. One more thought - there hasn't been much talk about the Werejaguars that Terra wanted to come with her? Before we leave Moloch, I'd like to see if Terra wanted perhaps to take the opportunity to outfit them?

I'll take one more look through the books and finalize any gear/weapons requests. Who knows when we'll be in this excellent buying/selling situation again? Lord Brazamal always treats us great (and so do the people he sends us to)! =)

Okies, looking back through all of our posts, I think we have a few things to clean up or run the danger of becoming lost in the ether.

The gemstones have their values already; you can get face value for your gems. For the wheeled vehicles, you can add another million credits for them.

11. The sale of the gems "at face value." "The cache of gemstones is in the 10-25 million credit range, depending on where you go to find a buyer." How much is "face value?"

12. The sale of the many wheeled vehicles we're not using nets another 1,000,000 credits.

I'll stop there. =)

After several long hours of negotiating, Moloch glances down at his watch. "Oh my. Look at the time. It has taken so long, it has really eaten up the day with us working together. I have your contact information and will be sending you several applicants for driver and gunner positions to help you get to your destination in one piece. The time it takes to get the work done on the Badger should be more than enough to see you on your way with little disruption on your schedule."

Heading back out to the surface, the Ecto-man bids you all a fond farewell. "I will have delivery of your items you have ordered within twenty four hours to Lord Brazamal's manor, and if there are anything else you need, don't hesitate to contact Emma and she can contact me directly."
Sherwood Sherwood Does this take place before or after everything I posted here tonight?

1. Four of the scopes I described above (21,000 credits each).
Done.
Done again.
3. 6 extra power cells for the suppressor. Price?
The extra power cells are relatively cheap at only 500 credits each.
4. One J-12 Laser Rifle (Game Masters Guide, page 145) with 3 Long E-clips for 50,000 credits.
Again, no problem. At least you guys have lots of room in the Badger to store all this stuff!
5. A case of 50 micro-fusion grenades (the kind that do 6D6 M.D.) if available? Price, please?
I am searching for a price. Give me a bit.
6. If Psychie/Terra allows it, this adapter for the (Honey?) Badger for 200,000 credits. "With the nuclear power plant of the Badger, it has plenty of power to recharge e-clips, and an adapter can be purchased for 200,000 credits."
So long as Psychie Psychie says its ok, fine with me.
7. Two "medium" melee crystals (one lightning, one acid) for 3,000,000 credits of this variety: "Next level up will be 1,500,000 and that will boost your damage by 6d6 MD."
Done.
8. I would like all of the details Snowfall can get his little paws on concerning the rune weapon described below? I'd like to seriously compare it to his Dragon Rod and see whether or not it is worth adding to Snowfall's collection, please.
The one ranged Rune weapon that Moloch has on hand is a Rod of Weather Control.
Three times a day, it can cast the following spells as a 8th level caster:
Thunderclap
Armor of Ithan
Breathe without Air
Fly
Call Lightning
Wind Rush
Lightning Arc
Wall of Wind
Desiccate the Supernatural
Summon Fog
Calm Storms
Summon and Control Rain
Summon and Control Storm

It has the ability to be used as a melee weapon, inflicting 4d6 MD per thwack, and can hurl lightning bolts that do 2d6 MD per level of the wielder. Cost of the Rod is 40,000,000.
9. Digging through Snowfall's old pick-ups, I'd also be interested in seeing if Moloch is in the market for those parts of Mechanoid Overlord and Brains he received from the Mechanoid Fortress battle?
Those parts were taken by the Dweomer authorities when you delivered the mobile fortress.
10. One more thought - there hasn't been much talk about the Werejaguars that Terra wanted to come with her? Before we leave Moloch, I'd like to see if Terra wanted perhaps to take the opportunity to outfit them?
Many of the werejaguars have gone on to look into the option of getting some formal training in the Dweomer military. There are a few that have decided to hang out with your bunch in the Badger, assuming that Eron doesn't go batty with so many cats around.
11. The sale of the gems "at face value." "The cache of gemstones is in the 10-25 million credit range, depending on where you go to find a buyer." How much is "face value?"
Considering this, you can get a total of 15 million from Moloch. It is possible you can find a specialist in gemstones that can provide you with a better price, but it will take some time.
12. The sale of the many wheeled vehicles we're not using nets another 1,000,000 credits.
That was already figured into the totals given to you guys before.

You can have all of this done before the meeting is over.

Again, no problem. At least you guys have lots of room in the Badger to store all this stuff!
Which begs the question - does Moloch/his people have anything like Bags of Holding, Handy Haversacks, or their like for sale and if so, how much?

I am searching for a price. Give me a bit.
Yeah, rifle-grenade micro-fusions are popular with Coalition guns but darned if I can find a price in the Game Masters Guide.

The one ranged Rune weapon that Moloch has on hand is a Rod of Weather Control.
Wow! What book is this from? Could I see a picture of it, read about it and get details (its story, origins, the range on the lightning attack, etc.)?

Those parts were taken by the Dweomer authorities when you delivered the mobile fortress.
They took them from Snowfall's person after he looted them? He didn't keep that stuff on the mobile fortress. I don't recall this at all but, okay.

Good to know and glad I asked! =)

That was already figured into the totals given to you guys before.
Actually... that's not how it reads here, bud. You provided that figure here after I asked here. But... it's your game. Your call.

You can have all of this done before the meeting is over.
Great!

Which begs the question - does Moloch/his people have anything like Bags of Holding, Handy Haversacks, or their like for sale and if so, how much?
He does. Moloch has a total of four Dimensional Pockets. They can store up to 200 pounds of gear while only weighing only 5 pounds, and he's asking 1 million each for them.
Yeah, rifle-grenade micro-fusions are popular with Coalition guns but darned if I can find a price in the Game Masters Guide.
Still searching, but I may end up just assigning a price. They'll be a bit more expensive, since they are Coalition gear, but he can get ahold of them.
Wow! What book is this from? Could I see a picture of it, read about it and get details (its story, origins, the range on the lightning attack, etc.)?
It is a custom item I came up with. Range on the lightning bolt is 2,000 feet.
They took them from Snowfall's person after he looted them? He didn't keep that stuff on the mobile fortress. I don't recall this at all but, okay.
With this in mind, it would provide you with a decent price, since you are dealing with DBee gear that is of unique origin.
Good to know and glad I asked! =)
Of course.
Actually... that's not how it reads here, bud. You provided that figure here after I asked here. But... it's your game. Your call.
I'll double check my numbers.

I'll double check my numbers.
No worries.

The one ranged Rune weapon that Moloch has on hand is a Rod of Weather Control.
Can the elemental melee crystals be added to it? Is there an origin story behind it? Any other information on it?

With the 15 million in gems split 3 ways (if, of course, Psychie Psychie and Silanon Silanon are game?) and what Snowfall recovered from the Mechanoids (that non-possessed stuff that I'm glad is worth something), I'm thinking this rod might have to come home. You've made something pretty cool here, Sherwood! Not that this surprises me or anything; anyone who shares as many puns as you do has to be creative! =)

He does. Moloch has a total of four Dimensional Pockets. They can store up to 200 pounds of gear while only weighing only 5 pounds, and he's asking 1 million each for them.
Psychie Psychie Silanon Silanon How about we buy all four of these? One for each of us and I'll buy another to keep on the (I keep on wanting to call it the Honey) Badger?
