The Rift. It's been there for so long. At first, scientists went crazy trying to figure out what it was. They found one thing. They knew it was to do with time and that anything that went through it, was gone, it couldn't come back.
Eventually, everyone ignored it. It became apart of their everyday life. The scientists couldn't study anymore of it. It became just another regular thing. But I guess that's what they wanted them to think.
Just when everyone started easing up to it, people started coming through. Not aliens. Not interdimensional beings. Humans, that claimed to practice magic. They claimed to come from the year 5680 BC. Although they came through The Rift and the validity of where they came was proven, no one believed them about having magic. Until they showed everyone and proved magic existed. This caused panic. It rewrote everything humans knew about science. But, like always, humanity slowly began to accept the newcomers.
The Wizards called their new friends, "Moderns." And in turn the Moderns just called them, "Wizards." Eventually, the Wizards became homesick and wanted to leave, they found they couldn't go back into The Rift. According to the scientists they asked for help, it was a one way trip. That saddened them, but soon they too grew to love their new time zone. The peace between the Wizards and the moderns never broke, it lasted, even through the coming of the Techs.
The Techs also came through The Rift. They were human and they claimed to come from the future. The year 89070 AD. They brought with them advanced technology and many other things. Upon their arrival they were told they couldn't return. This caused outrage, but, like the Wizards, accepted their new home eventually.
This continued, no trouble at all, until another group came. These were not human. These were evil creatures. Intelligent yet evil creatures. They looked like gigantic dogs. They oozed black liquid. They had one eye. And they had longs tusks protruding from the sides of their mouths.
They attacked the humans countless times. They had such advanced technology the Techs could barely keep them out. But they did.
The defenses of the human race are not that good compared to these creatures, everyday they risk attack.
A few months after the defenses of the human race were up, they asked to talk to their leader. They didn't think the creatures would understand English, but, surprisingly, they did.
The creatures were hesitant but brought an ambassador for the human race to their Queen. The queen looked nothing like the creatures.
She was almost human, the only difference was the pale skin and fangs. The ambassador asked the queen what and who they were.
The queen said they were created by The Rift when it first opened. They were The Rift incarnated into actual life forms. They observed the human race as they built their technology and when they were ready, attacked.
The Queen said that they called themselves, "Rift-born." She also said that the ambassador had heard too much, he was killed, but not before he passed on his information. A new ambassador was elected...
The RP starts off with the new ambassador being elected and you decide what happens from here! If you guys have any suggestions or things I should add, feel free to suggest!
I also should point out that the Wizards and the Techs came in small groups, around 12,000 each (this has multiplied, of course)
There are around 4,000,000,000 Rift-born. They're separated into eight spaceships (in space :3), holding around 500,000,000 Rift-born each.
