ABOUT
You've been selected to compete in the treacherous long-distance horse race called the Ocean Of Fire. A death defying 4,000 mile race across the Arabian desert and mountains; very few finish. The winner collects a multimillion dollar reward along with the title of being the one who truly rides The Ocean of Fire.

If the Monarchy selects you to run in their race, you are unable to decline. It's almost as if you're being drafted into a war you want no part of. You'll be arrested or killed if you attempt to go against the Monarchy. They select some gifted equestrians, but a big portion goes to the poor filled with empty promises who aren't expended to last a full week on the Arabian stretch with whatever malnourished horse they were provided with. The year before last out of the 72 contestants, only 14 finished the race. This has been publicized so heavily it's become it's own holiday. If you've ever been in Saudi Arabia, you qualify for the Ocean of Fire. They have their ways of bringing you back.

Are you ready to ride the Ocean of Fire?

MORE

You won't just be smoothly riding through the desert and mountainous areas, there will be many challenges. One being sandstorms, a powerful wind carrying clouds of sand that can blind and even suffocate a person if caught in one. The second being quicksand, a horse and rider would gradually begin to sink in quicksand, movement will make the victims sick faster although you'll still be capable of getting yourself out, as if someone is willing to help you get out. Quicksand is usually near water which rarely there are large ponds that can be found or in small town watering areas which often times you must earn or purchase. So it is a good idea to bring some money, and to be sure to not lose it or get stolen. Flooding, although this is typically a very dry and scorching race Saudi Arabia has been prone to floods and have happened before in some races.

Alliances can be made, and at times can prove to be vital if someone is willing to work with you. It can be very difficult trusting people during this race since theoretically speaking they could simply rob you of all of your supplies and even your horse while you're sleeping. On the other hand you could quite possibly have someone to help you out in a tricky situation if they prove to be somewhat trustful versus leading you into a bad situation if you don't know anything about the desert. If you horse end's up dying from the elements or at the fault of the rider it's possible they'll let you ride theres.

If you have any questions, plot ideas, etc feel free to message me! I will make a character sheet page with forms and everything on a separate thread that I'll link soon. If you're interested comment so I'll have an estimate on how many people will be joining.
