our world: As far as Zara Isabelle Amzy is concerned, she is the daughter of Barbra and Hansel Amzy, two wealthy real estate agents in the town of Recuerdo. All her life she has been given her heart's desires at her every whim but her parents taught her the value of hard work and only gave her what she wanted when she proved herself. She excelled in school and became easily frustrated by the other students who didn't learn at her accelerated pace. She was never a very popular student in school, but now that she is a university student she is determined to change that by dating one of the most well liked students in the school Justin Smithsonian. He isn't the brightest nor even remotely interesting to her, but he is her key to popularity, he will do all her bidding and he doesn't even ask her to put out for him. It's a win-win situation for her at least.

Past Life: Young Ursula was banished from Atlantica by King Triton, and planned her revenge in her solitude. She finally had the perfect opportunity to act on this when Triton's youngest daughter Ariel seeks to make a deal with the villain. Ursula changes Ariel into a human in exchange for her voice, giving her three days to win over her human love interest. During these three days, Ursula also poses as a young human woman and successfully attempts to marry the prince. Ursula's spell on the prince is broken by Ariel, though she is captured by Ursula shortly after. Ursula almost wins control over the ocean when Triton sacrifices himself for his daughter's freedom, but is then killed by Ariel and the prince. (Or maybe just banished to live among her own collection of condemned souls...)

Our World: Grew up in a well-to-do household, meek mother and perpetually grumpy father. She gained control over them by constant persuasions. While not necessarily a bad upbringing, her parents grew tired of it as she became older. This led to many fights, finally causing Carisa to move out at the first given opportunity(this initially came about because her father bet she wouldn't go through with it). Much to her parents chagrin, this just so happened to be the day of her highschool graduation. Despite the suddenness of this decision, Carisa is doing well enough and is in her final year of cosmetology school. Her parents don't support her career choice, but regularly send checks to appease her and attempt to repair their relationship. The drama of being an estranged child is much more rewarding to her than moving back home.

Genie was meant to only do one thing: grant wishes for the people who wanted so. He had phenomenal, cosmic power but was always contained in the itty-bitty living space that was his lamp--unless summoned by some wanderer. One of those wanderers was Aladdin. Genie was the wingman to Aladdin as he helped him win the heart of Jasmine, an Arabian princess. Their wacky adventure in doing so led them to become good friends. But along the way, they encountered Jafar, a villainous man who used Genie for ultimate power and control over Agrabah. However, Jafar's own greed for power was his mistake and led him to become trapped in a lamp, just like every other genie. And in the end, Aladdin got the girl and Genie was released by Aladdin's last, selfless wish to set him free...

OUR WORLD

Gene was an only child raised in a middle-class family. When he was five years old, his mother went missing. Detectives and search parties were called, but she was never found. The father had given up hope, but Gene always knew she was out there, somewhere. They lived together in a house that's had a missing piece, but they grew very close, nonetheless. Gene's father was the one who exposed him to magic tricks. Even as a baby, he would be giggle and get excited every time he "took" a penny out of his ear. He later taught himself how to perform a few amateur magic tricks as a hobby, but found that his real passion was in theater. Throughout middle school and high school, Gene was known to be the class clown--he loved to make people laugh. But there was always a lingering rumor claiming that he was gay. Though untrue, a few guys made fun of him for it. He would get irritated by it, but merely let it roll off his back at the end of the day. Once Gene graduated, he applied and was accepted into college--the only college in Recuerdo. He also saw an online ad of someone in town looking for a roommate. Gene took the offer on a whim.

Being freed - Aladdin's last wish was to set Genie free from being enslaved to anyone, a wish no one had ever wanted. Extremely thankful, dismayed and happy, Genie said his farewells to his good friend and set off to travel the world.

our world: Justin grew up in a very loving and slightly smothering home. His father is a humble green grocer and his mother is a baker. Both of them always showered their beautiful son with affirmations and love, sometimes letting some of his flaws slide. They were incredibly protective, not allowing him to go anywhere on his own until he reached adulthood, by which time he had become incredibly dependent and attached to them. Soon he followed in the footsteps of his dear mother and became a baker because it was the only thing he was ever good at. His grades in school were...lacking to say the least, and though his teachers tried to tell his parents, they would never hear a bad word said about Justin.

Life as she knows it in this world: Born to a family of Charleston elite, Scarlett grew up with nothing she needed financially or physically. Her father provided her with the best tutors money could buy, a stellar education at a prep school that nurtured her musical talent, and all the fancy things she wanted. But Scarlett wanted freedom, to taste what life was like outside of those gilded mansion walls. She wanted to devote herself to the kind of music she loved (and that her father blasted as being from the devil) and to the kind of person she wanted to love.

During an argument with her father, she accidently outed herself as a lesbian. That had been a final straw, her father flying into a fury. Her favorite guitar lying smashed on the ground, Scarlett decided there was only one thing to do. Run away. She pawned jewelry for a Stratocaster and a bus ticket. It was far more difficult for Scarlett to make ends meet and get an apartment, the teenager having to stay in a,homeless shelter for a time since she hadn't thought about pawning enough things to have even some rent and food money. But she was earning a fair amount busking at the bus stop and belting out covers of songs at the local dive bars. Enough to have her own apartment now, have earned her own things. She is a popular act, an attractive redhead with a powerful voice tends to be, yet she can't get enough of a break to launch a national career.

Personality: Ambitious and impulsive, Scarlett never thinks things through to the very end. She just has a goal and will make it through somehow. Extremely stubborn and hot headed, she is easily swayed by her emotions. In relationships, she is intense but they generally fizzle out swiftly because she learns too late that she is only infatuated, not in love. Confidant to the point of arrogant and reckless. Her openly friendly personality send her friends quickly, even if said friends are often whisked into a whirlwind of trouble.

But alas, she always wanted more, and she thought humans had life so wonderful.immediately smitten with the first human male she saw, she threw away her life at the bottom of the sea in a deal with the sea witch. She traded her voice for a chance with the man she saw only briefly.

Past Life
He was an arrogant, chauvinistic hunter who was determined to have Belle's hand in marriage, even by force if necessary. This obsession turned him into a ruthless, traitorous villain, especially when he found out that Belle's love was not for him but for a Beast.

Nowadays
Nate was born into foster care. His mother young and his father estranged. He was adopted not long after being but up by a family who was absolutely infatuated with the young boy, which would explain why he's so infatuated with himself. He grew up under a stern but pampering hand of a lawyer father. Nathan had no shortage of money when he was young and still doesn't, but his father believes in humility and enlisted him to work anyway.
Nate was 16 when he thought he was in love. She was everything he thought he needed, pretty, rich, easy pickings. But she blew him off time after time. This was before Nathan developed his extravagantly arrogant personality and was part of the reason it did develop. Nathan hides his insecurities behind his looks and faux over-confidence. Looking like a prick was better than looking like a coward.

Memories as she knows them: Elspeth was born to first generation immigrants from Scotland. Her parents worked hard and started their own business, building off the foundation of the one they had run back across the pond. As Elspeth grew up, more and more of her time was being required of her at the store to the point where she had to limit the amount of days that she could go blow off steam by going for hikes.

Now that she had turned 18, She was feeling immense pressure from her parents to put her dreams and aspirations aside to continue their dream and run the store when the time came that they needed to relinquish it to someone else. It wasn't that she minded the store, it was that her career was being chosen for her. Her life was already plotted out strategically, and goodness forbid she say anything to her mother about it. But did she care enough about it to really fight it tooth and nail? Was owning The Bear Essentials really all that bad?

Personality: stubborn and headstrong, she is still learning which battles to fight and which ones to just let be. She has a sense of adventure, always exploring new trails to hike and diving from waterfalls, but she does know to turn back at a certain point. When it comes to people, she tends to be personable just in case they become a customer of her parents. At least until the person is rude first, then the gloves are off. She would rather deal with her mother's scolding on diplomacy than allow someone to be rude to her or someone who doesn't deserve it.

As a baby, Tarzan's parents were killed by a leopard. He was discovered by a gorilla tribe, who took him in and raised him as their own. The gorillas and other creatures of the jungle are all he knows and he is well-liked among most of them. When humans first arrive on their territory, Tarzan is hesitantly curious. While he gets along well with some of the humans, some threaten his gorilla family. Tarzan struggles to balance his time between his newfound friends and his gorilla family. In the end, his enemy is vanquished by the leopard and Tarzan is able to continue his life and brings the gorillas and human friends/romantic interest together.

Tristan is a conservation student at the university, and is also working at an internship in the same field. He writes reports and on occasions studies the wildlife of the surrounding area. As far as Tristan knows, his family lives on the opposite coast. He doesn't hear from them often. From what he remembers, his family life was quite straightforward and typical, nothing noteworthy. However, he is unable to recall most of childhood and the majority of his current life as well. He credits this to severe dissociation, often speculating that he must have some form of traumatic past or mental illness. Tristan is often very frustrated by this, and worries that his lack of memory will harm any kind of personal relationship he forms.

The real explanation behind his memory is not an exact flaw in his brain function. It is unclear the exact reason, perhaps Malificent did not deem a "monkey man" intelligent enough to require an elaborate history--or if she maybe just made some sort of mistake in Tristan's banishment.

Tristan is a quiet individual, and doesn't think speech is the most effective form of communication. He can, however, be quite blunt when he does speak. This can sometimes make him come off as rude, but in reality he just knows what he likes and doesn't like. He is infinitely curious, though often from a distance so as to avoid getting involved with strangers. To those he is close with he is very protective and playful with a strong sense of adventure. Tristan greatly enjoys the outdoors and is very skilled in climbing. He believes shoes hinder his ability and goes without them whenever possible; he has also been known to not like clothes (though he obviously is respectful and knows when removing them is actually appropriate). He is often scaling trees and tall buildings. Sometimes under periods of high stress, he may disappear into nature. On some occasions he has even found himself, shirtless, atop tall structures he doesn't remember climbing.There is a nostalgic sort of comfort from this that he can't quite pinpoint. He believes this also to be the dissociation. While not artistic himself, Tristan is fascinated by fine arts. He has a great appreciation for anyone that cares about the wellbeing of nature, or who can tolerate him without questioning his lack of speech/bluntness.

Celebrity name dropping, designer clothes, sports cars before she could drive and lavish vacations are just a few things Madison can brag about. Born to a celebrity stylist and the chief executive officer of a Hollywood film studio, she has known nothing but privilege. Residing in the Beverly Hills, Madison and her twin sister Mia even had their own private school where they were automatically the queen bees and most admired students. It did not even matter whether they did well academically. After all, their father could fire any teacher that bothered them and power was entirely theirs.​

Past Life

Li Shang followed in the footsteps of his father, General Li, the head of the Chinese army. He trained to no end and learned strategy, combat, and discipline to serve his country, eventually earning his rank as a captain. However, the new recruits in his brigade were a less-than-mediocre bunch, to say the least. Especially one named Ming, who seemed to be bringing trouble and slacking more than the rest. Nonetheless, Shang trained his men to become adept fighters, and Ming impressed him by besting him in a sparring match and retrieving the arrow from the top of the tree. During an ambush from the Huns, Ming was wounded and it was later revealed that "he" was really a woman named Fa Mulan, who went under the guise of a man in order to join the army. Not only was it forbidden, but the penalty of doing so was death. Despite Shang's anger, he decided to spare Mulan, but immediately discharged her from the army. She then later returned to warn the army of the Emperor's impending capture, and although Shang refused to believe her, she was right. He--along with Yao, Ling and Chien Po--helped Mulan defeat the remaining leader of the Huns. The Emperor and the rest of China was saved.​

The end to the war - After Shan Yu's defeat, the threat to China was gone and the Emperor was safe and well. It was truly Mulan's valor and quick thinking that saved the country, and Shang was able to see that she was indeed a hero. It was the first time he ever saw a woman so bold, so strong and courageous. It prompted Shang to become enamored with her.

Marrying Mulan - After the war, Shang and Mulan grew closer and his love for her grew bigger by the day and he knew she felt the same. Shang wanted to marry her--to spend the rest of his days with her. After being granted the family's blessing, he finally summed up the courage to propose to Mulan and she happily accepted.

Current Life

Jin was an only child whose parents divorced when he was eight years old. Due to equal custody, he had to move back and forth between the two households every other month. His father was a former boxer; his mother was a registered nurse who, despite her career, was very stern and domineering at home. Jin had always favored his father a lot more. When he remarried a much nicer woman, that was when he met his stepbrother, Henry. Within a few months, he learned that Henry was quite a wild card. He was an adrenaline junkie who specialized in the art of graffiti and oftentimes vandalism--although he claimed it was simply art, not illegal. He was a little rough around the edges, yet Jin enjoyed spending time with him. They were six years apart but that didn't stop them from bonding. Jin got into dirt bike racing and sports, and Henry was there cheering him on when he won his first race. They could have been biological brothers with the way they were so close. Years later, when Jin was a sophomore in high school, he came home to find his father and stepmother in tears. He was then told news he never wanted to hear: Henry had been shot dead. It was a case of armed robbery, the police had said, and he was at the wrong place at the wrong time. His death struck Jin hard and he mourned for three years. Jin saved up his money, moved out, and got his own place in an apartment building. Sometimes he still thinks about Henry, especially when he sees some of the graffiti that he left behind across Recuerdo.

Her parents always wanted her to be the best and so they dressed her in elite designer clothes, enrolled her in the best schools and forced her into many extracurricular activities she did not necessarily want to participate in. They were perfectionists and instilled these values in Annabelle, but they were never very loving and did not pay attention to her as a person.

Memories as he knows them: Born to a military family, Etienne and his parents traveled the world at the whim of his superiors. He never got a chance to connect with a place or to the people there since they were forced to oak up and move abruptly again. That all changed when Etienne as twelve and his father was slain in combat. He was devastated; his hero and father, the person he idolized the most in the world, was gone.

Life was hard for his mother, it was difficult to make ends meet even with the benefits that his father's service had awarded them. Etienne, admittedly, didn't make things any easier with how often he was removed from school for fighting. The fact that he also wanted to enlist in the military like his father was also a wedge between them, his mother terrified that she would have to bury her son just as she did her husband. Etienne would not be swayed, however, and promised his mother to visit her often and with medals to prove his valor. He was going to live up to his father's legacy.

Personality: Etienne is hot tempered and willing to fight at the drop of a hat. Except if there is a girl involved, then he behaves like a true gentleman. Granted, one who can't string together sentences properly to save his life when a pretty girl is involved. Baby steps. If you ask him, though, he would say that he was quite the debonair ladies man. Such is his over-confidence in himself. When with friends, he tends to joke around constantly, not seeming to take much seriously beyond his military career.

Past life: Young upstart D'Artagnan sought fame and honor by becoming a musketeer, a personal guard to the king of France. He was sorely disappointed when the group were completely disbanded right before his arrival. He had plenty to keep himself busy with, however, as he instigated three duels, each an hour apart, with three former musketeers named Athos, Porthos, and Aramis. He didn't get to actually duel them, however, for the Cardinal's men come to arrest the musketeers for having not completely giving up their posts. .The four men become a reluctant team at first, but D'Artagnan earns his place as a brother in arms as they defeat the evil cardinal and save the king of France from being assassinated.

History​

Past Life: Aladdin is a poor, street urchin living with his pet monkey, Abu. In the pair's adventures, they meet Princess Jasmine and Aladdin soon falls for her. Shortly after, however, Aladdin is whisked away by one of the sultan's evil advisors--Jafar-- who wishes to use the boy in one of his schemes for power. Jafar sends them into a cave to retrieve a magic lamp for him. The cave collapses forcing Aladdin and the genie inside the lamp to become fast friends. Aladdin uses the genie to become rich and help him get together with Jasmine. Jafar, having been betrayed by the boy, attempts to have him killed. Jafar acquires the lamp and then becomes the genie's master, wishing to marry Jasmine and become the sultan. Jasmine fakes interest in him and he imprisons her. Aladdin is able to trick Jafar into becoming a genie and trapping him inside a lamp. Aladdin frees Genie and the sultan allows Aladdin to marry Jasmine.

Our World: Xander lived in a poverty-stricken area on the outskirts of Recuerdo. Despite this, he had a mostly happy childhood with his mother and father. Both parents worked at a factory, and his mother would babysit in her time off. Xander became used to the noise of many kids, along with having little personal space. He did not have many things, but was taught to appreciate everything he did have. The community he lived in was very supportive of one another and they shared many things.

When Xander was eleven, his mother became ill and was unable to work. When the doctor's bills became too much, Xander took on her duties as babysitter until he was old enough to help out at other local businesses. Her sickness would subside for periods of time over the next several years, but always returned worse than before. Due to lots of remodeling within the area, many of their neighbors were forced to move away. They lost many of their friends and their constant support. Because Xander was a fairly intelligent boy, his parents still thought it was important for him to continue his schooling. They wanted a better life for him. His grades has begun to slip the more he had to work, and this worried his parents. He was not living the full potential that they thought he could.

One night in the end of his senior year, returning home from school, Xander walked in on his parent's crying. He initially feared the worse, thinking his mother was on her deathbed. They soon reassured him that this was not the case. Instead, they told him that they thought it would be better for him to move in with this aunt and uncle in the better part of town. This would give him more opportunities, while also taking a bit of financial burden off the family. Xander was distraught, thinking they wanted to be rid of him. He didn't speak to them for several days. Eventually he came around, realizing that they really were doing it for him. While he was not excited about it, he agreed--but only if he was allowed to visit during the holidays and summers and he could still send part of his paychecks to them. They begrudgingly went along with the second part, and made him promise that he would continue his schooling.

Xander has lived with the aunt and uncle and their two young children for over half a year. He is still adjusting, as the family it a much different environment. They are kind though, and he is eternally grateful. He babysits when necessary and tries to do as many chores as possible. In this household, he has much more freetime--the most difficult part for him to deal with. He has friends, but finds that a great portion of this time is spent worrying and his family and his future. He hopes to make them, and himself, proud.

Appearance: 5' 9", average weight and stature. Xander has light brown skin with a clear complexion. His eyes are wide and dark brown, framed with heavy lashes and shapely brows. He has full lips, a quick smile, and a straight teeth. Xander's hair is thick and very straight; it has grown out to be rather layered around his face. In terms of style, Xander dresses fairly basic and is not opposed to wearing thrifted things. His go to outfit is a pair of fitted jeans and a flannel over some kind of vintage type t-shirt. He is always wearing a pair of beat up sneakers, refusing to buy a new pair until he has completely destroyed his current. Overall, this gives him a somewhat ragged look, but he does not mind.

Personality: For the most part, Xander is a happy/goofy college kid. He's very witty and quite smart. Xander is always going out of his way to lend a helping hand, be an emotional support, or hold open the door for the stranger with their hands full. Sometimes he has a problem with spreading himself too thin in this way, trying to be too much for too many people. In terms of working, he has the same problem--constantly juggling multiple jobs along with school. He just wants to support his family and himself as well as he can. He is very appreciative of any small action someone may do for him, being thankful to the point of it almost being annoying. He is very sentimental; he also never asks for anything.

While he wants to do well for himself in the future, he is very unsure and has trouble keeping himself motivated. This often causes him to stop everything, questioning what the point of everything is. He can be very indecisive and usually refuses to pick anything when given choices. He will generally just go along with what everyone else is doing, both to please them and ease his own situation.

Interests/Quirks: Xander is a huge film buff, especially for ones with aesthetic settings and good color palettes. Sometimes he like writing his own movie scripts and short stories. He is not a general fitness person, but he does enjoy running because he finds that it helps with his worrying. Xander's appreciation for everything channels into him touching everything in the store to appreciate its texture, halting in the middle of a run to admire a tiny flower, eating incredibly slowly, and constantly reading signs out loud to whoever has accompanied him. Past as he knows it: Born to a Catholic middle class family and raised with few cares, Remy had thought to become a member of the clergy one day. He had served as an alter boy when he was young, and he had even chosen what school he was going to attend for seminary concurrent to his bachelor degree in theology. Oh how quickly that changed. While on his way to a friend's house, Remy was robbed at gun point. The robber was nervous, young, and in experienced, and he shot Remy in a panic when he struggled with him over the silver crucifix necklace that had been given to him by his grand mother. The event shook him to the very core. The priest who had been his mentor visited him often, but his words didn't satisfy Remy. What did he care that God put everything into motion for a reason; he just wanted his necklace back.

He did get it back, the arresting officer hand delivering it to the recovering teen himself.it was this moment that changed his course. He could still offer solace to those who needed it and bring justice to those who couldn't speak for themselves anymore. His entire focus changed, and he became a police officer to be the change he wanted to see in the world.
Personality: Level-headed, he wishes to make a positive difference in the lives of others. He tends to be more reserved, spending more time thinking than voicing his opinions or feelings. Quite the flirt, women are his only vice.

our world: Maid Marian, now known as Marilyn Autumn was the first child of a young couple. Her father, a musician and her mother, an artist met at the age of sixteen at one of her father's band's gigs and nine months later, an unplanned baby was born, namely Marilyn. Fortunately, her parent's seemed not to be a victim of puppy love and remained together from the moment they met.

Seven years after Autumn was born came her little brother Archer. It was a little hard for her to adjust at first, but the siblings bonded quickly and became each other's best friends once Archer grew older, despite the age gap. The children were raised to be just as artistically expressive as their parents and learned to play instruments and be free-thinkers and innovators.

Even though the pair were raised fairly liberally they knew boundaries and were generally well-behaved also doing well in school. Learning is important to both, though Marilyn might just enjoy it less, at least in the traditional sense.
