All was well. King Mortimer Mouse ruled over all the nation and the provinces within. The heroic and virtuous lived their happily ever after while the devious and cunning received their downfall. All except two. Maleficent the evil fairy and Hades the powerful god of the underworld. Jealous and enraged that the young Mickey Mouse was to be crowned ruler of The Disney Kingdom rather than her, Maleficent vowed to destroy each and every pathetic happy beautiful protagonist of their stories and make their lives a misery.

With little persuasion needed, Hades resurrected defeated villains from Aladdin's archenemy Jafar to the cruel Queen Narissa intending to wreak havoc with little success. The heroes still prevailed against them. Thoroughly enraged, Maleficent vowed that if she could not have the kingdom no one could. With a bit of water from the river of forgetfulness in the Underworld courtesy of Hades, a portal to the world of humans courtesy of Narissa and an incantation from Maleficent, Mistress of All Evil, all citizens of the kingdom were banished to the mortal world forever with no memory of who they once were.

The trio had never imagined they would fall victim to their own spell! The clever and resourceful Good Fairies Flora, Fauna and Merryweather descended from their own mysterious land to help the helpless heroes. They knew that Maleficent's spell would send the three who cast it to the mortal world too complete with their memories. They knew all of Maleficent's plan and secretly planted memory triggering objects around the town of Recuerdo where the fairy tale characters now live.

What happens when a group of students, both villains and heroes discover their memory triggers and are thrust back into the Magic Kingdom on a dangerous quest?

Extra Info
This RP is going to be mostly set in the Magic Kingdom but will start with a group of students from the ages of 16-20 in the small town of Recuerdo discovering memory triggers that will help them return to the Magic Kingdom and stop Maleficent.

Any character can be made, villain or hero and they do not have to be their original age.

Memories must be gained gradually rather than all at once and must never start with the character's true name. There is power in a name.

Magic can be used in both Recuerdo and the Magic Kingdom.

The Three Good Fairies Flora, Fauna and Merryweather are the only characters not trapped in Recuerdo.

All memory trigger trinkets have some kind of magical property. But only ONE.

No one can steal Maleficent's spell book until the plot calls for it.

All memories regained should be made note of in the 'other' section of your CSs in order of when they were gained: For example Giselle:

1. Her rodent sidekick Pip etc.

More Info will be added here if necessary.

Nothing out of the ordinary was ever prone to happening in the sleepy and quaint town of Recuerdo that perched on the outskirts of Anaheim, California. The people of the town went through the daily grind with little complaint and although sterile, life was peaceful enough.

It's another regular morning in town as the sun begins to rise. You go on your way as usual and life seems as mind-numbingly sedate as ever...until young Holly Gazelle, a slightly ditzy dressmaker in town approaches you telling you that her name is not Holly, but Giselle, and that she lives in a land called Andalasia with her betrothed Prince Edward. Soon this story is all over town, and Recuerdo will never be the same again....

Madison's eyes were beginning to close as she lay under her blanket in her favourite silk aqua pyjamas, her thumb idly scrolling through pictures of Michael Kors purses and bags on her Pinterest feed. The time at the top of the screen read 5:30am. She hadn't slept all night, once again. It wasn't exactly unusual. Most of that time was spent listening to music or getting her fix of the Kardashians. She couldn't say she didn't regret it now as her alarm sounded to the tune of Zara Larsson's 'Lush Life'.

"Crap I didn't even sleep..." She groaned to no one in particular as she reluctantly stretched and ran her fingers through her blonde braid.

"Mia are you awake?" she asked, glancing at the bed at the other side of the room where her twin usually slept. Not waiting for her answer she slipped out of bed and toward the bathroom to get ready for the day ahead. Once she was done painstakingly selecting an outfit that complimented her exact skin tone, hair and eye colour, she headed back to her room.

"Oh my god I miss LA so much. Like this place totally sucks, why are we even here?" she sighed as she let her gaze take in her sister's outfit. She smiled brightly in approval. "You look hot Mimi! Are you coming? I need a coffee or I think I'll freakin' die. Besides there's that one cute barista with the biceps..." she then rambled on a little before picking up her keys and heading out the bedroom door not waiting for her sister. She had to get her head together before heading off to university. It wasn't like she wanted to go, but she and Mia had told their dad that they would go to university just so he would keep giving them money for whatever they wanted.

Once she got to the coffee shop, she made a beeline for the front of the fast emerging queue with a few muffled protests from other customers. They knew not to protest by now.

Madison gave the barista an expectant look before saying, "I was expecting the other guy. Oh well, you'll do. You know the drill. Don't give me that passive aggressive 'trying to be nice but I want to kill you' look." The barista, a dark haired girl who always seemed to wear yellow, gave her a forced smile as she assented and got to work making her soy latte. Madison thanked her with sickly sweet smile before taking her seat and taking her phone out to browse the web again, ignoring the lame people around her.

Conversing with
Madison ( PixieDust PixieDust )
On the contrary to her dearest twin sister, the blonde was in the seventh heaven, sleeping the worries away. Ha! As if... the female was worry free. The worst thought that haunted her was if her outfit didn't match or someone didn't. The feeling of her silk ivory pajamas that matched those of her sister's, was rather soothing as she had her hands covered under the sleeves with the sleeves near her nose smelling the scent of strawberries she loved so very much.

Despite her sleep, Mia didn't sleep deeply so with the slightest shift or noise she always woke up. Firstly it was Madison's alarm, followed a minute after was her own alarm, which she dreaded as she didn't want to get out of bed. However the sound of 'Primadonna Girl' radiated through the whole room, which always gives Mia motive to get up and start dazzling herself through the day. Thirdly, it was her sister's voice. A messy blonde hair pooped from under the cream color covers as a woken up Mia spoke,
"Mmm..." was all she could let out, just enough to let her sister know that she was awake. Sort of.

As Madison exited the room, she threw the sheets off of her and groggily got up to pick her outfit for the day.... or rather morning. It was the most exciting part. Mia was a sucker when it came to nude shades and pastel colors. After a good solid hour, the female was now in a nice light blue button up shirt, with slightly rolled up sleeves. A nice flowy white high-waisted skirt with was pair with a nude shade small belt that hugged her waist. Matching that belt was a nice small purse and heels matching the same shade. Her and her sister took approximately the same amount of time. As Madison barged in once more and complimented her she grinned, still applying her pink lip-gloss to her plump lips.

"Aren't I always?" she boasted as she perfected her blonde curly waves and left them hanging. "Oh Maddy... I know this place is simply a dump but daddy placed us here because he said we needed to take care of ourselves for some reason. It's soooooo not fair!" she whined before she headed behind Madison to get her own coffee. "Of course! Like I would want to miss that hunk serving up our coffee..." she giggled before exiting the room.

Following her sister's side she too emerged up front and got her regular order with just one look. As her sister dealt with the passive aggressive waitress she spotted a barista. A specific barista. The same hunk of muscles that her sister was eye candying. Waiting for her own frappucino she poked her sisters' shoulder, "Hmmm muscled barista... 6 o'clock."

She knew her sister liked googling and day dream about him every time they went there. The dark brunette female came back with their drinks as Mia evaluated her frappucino which seemed to look all good. No complaints from her side however there was no cute little biscuit, "Uhm excuse me but what kind of service is this? I expect a biscuit as per usual... why is there no biscuit? Get. me. a. biscuit." she insisted with her icy blue eyes, giving an intense glare.

The dark haired barista widened her eyes and went to get her the damn biscuit as she rolled her eyes when she gave Mia her back.

OPEN FOR INTERACTION

It was a restless night for Naina. Despite all she was still fit to go working, energy-wise that is. Her mind state on the other hand was nothing but rubbish. However she didn't let it interrupt her work... or so she tried. All she wanted was to be with her younger sister. Kyra. She thought that everything was plain sailing with her until she comes to tell her... this news. News she did not expect. True, Kyra was and is rebellious but to stoop to such levels.

This morning she saw her go for an early run. Seemed in the family to keep fit. As she herself did her run early in the morning at around 5:00 a.m. before she went to work. Her first stable full time job she had after jumping form one to the other or handling more than two at a time. It seemed impossible but she managed. With some help, she managed it.

Opening the animal shelter was usually in her hands, at least till the owner came in and took care of it all. Being a trusted employee the female had the keys to the shutters. First thing in the morning was to change the animal's surroundings and cages. It annoyed her that they had to be in cages but if all the animals were to be set free there would be nothing but chaos and no she was not in the mood for that today.

Upon brushing every inch of goop, changing every inch of aquariums and terrariums and settling them down for opening hours, the female let herself towards the front desk for a while. At least till the receptionist came. Technically she worked out back with the animals but at such early hours it was up to her to keep the place in order till the employees appear. Sitting behind the desk she placed her temples in her palms and slowly massaged them. She felt a pang of a headache coming, it was the worries. She worried a lot for her little sister. Very much. Something like this was not supposed to be in the agenda, especially the fact that something like this slipped from under her. If this guy who calls himself Scar had to show himself in front of her she would bloody murder him. Well it wasn't in her to be so fierce but protective definitely. All she knew right now she felt her head about to pop.

It was no surprise. The young female was fired from yet another job in the past few weeks. It seemed to be a running record with Eleanor. The reason was always the same. Why? Of course... Sleeping on the job. The female literally slept in the cubicles at the cafe and spent the night locked in there. No wonder. Ellie had so many jobs that a student can have, a care-taker, a barista, a waitress, a look-out so on so forth that now it became really hard for her to get excepted anywhere.

The many times she struggles to keep herself sane and in the right state of mind not to fall for previous doing that were marked with her for the rest of her life on her wrists. But no. She was not going to fall for such habitual horrors in order to satisfy her sadness. The black haired girl was now on a local park bench in Recuerdo, watching people whom either were heading to work for the majority and some simply hung out.

Her...she was her face stuffed in a newspaper with a red pen in hand. She crossed out the fifth job in the wanted list as it was unavailable. She had crossed out so many, none circled. It was frustrating more than anything it was hopeless. There was only one job on the list. The same job she was just told that she was not qualified for. No more on the list.

With a sigh she crossed it out and slammed her head down on the newspaper on her lap, feeling shattered. She just wanted a job, she needed an income. That being said she sometimes wondered... why even bother when her lack of her sleeping control will simply screw it up anyways? She felt rather confounded.

The young female found living on herself rather hard. That ended today as early this morning the male that had answered her room mate call and found she deemed worth had lugged his belongings inside her small apartment where he now will start residing. Mae had to admit that she was rather stoked that she won't be living alone. If anything she hated being alone, she loved company and Eugene, her new and first room mate, seems rather easy to get along with if anything. Then again that was just a first impression. However the female had forgotten that today was the day he had shown up to move in. As usual she had overslept, waking up at around 7:30 a.m. when she should have been up with her father at 5:00 a.m.

Upon admitting her room-mate in her apartment... now their apartment she had given him his own key and directed him to his room. Mae was not one for good hosting skills but she welcomed him as best as she could before she took off. It was already bad enough that she had left her father waiting on her for nothing, she didn't want to leave her mother hanging with her deliveries either. Otherwise she would never hear the end of it. Even if she was living about three streets away. She'd most probably hear her complain through the walls and streets. It was simply annoying.

Having said, she had put on a quick outfit. Literally just opened her wardrobe and pulled out the first thing that came into her hand. Mae was never really fussy about what she wore as long as it covered the necessary parts... it was all good. The lucky pick was a pair of black leggings and a grey zip-up hoodie with a white tank-top underneath. Her typical white sneakers which where a bit dirty from using them daily in such work and leaves them for that. Stuffing her phone inside her hoodie with her keys she rushed out towards the shop while tying her hair up in a messy bun upwards as not to he her hair in her way once she started working.

Today was filling the truck and go supply their daily customers which were mainly restaurants who use their produce and fresh crops for their dishes. So that meant big crates and boxes to load in the truck and do the delivery rounds where driving the truck was the easiest part of it all and Mae was not exactly a safe driver. She can barely steer her own two feet let alone a huge delivery truck... but it had to be done. Slow... but done.

Sliding down her sleeves she hid her tattoo on her forearm, a tattoo that her mother yet doesn't know about and sure as heck won't approve of it. A tattoo that had '我的责任在于我的心' written along, meaning 'My duty is to my heart', which was a saying that her father had raised her by which she took to heart. She alerted her mother that she was there,
"Ma, I am readying the truck for today!"

"Sure took your sweet time to get here young lady," an elderly looking female around 59 years of age appeared from the back entrance. "The products are all in the back garage, make sure you do not forget anyone. Like last time." she warned before moving back inside the grocery to proceed stocking while grumbling about Mae-Lin's tardiness.

"Yes Ma..." she said in annoyed tone, rolling her eyes at her mother's grumbling. She went to the white delivery truck and opened the back door to the storage and the freezer area, ready to lug it up with the crate of fresh fruits and vegetables. As she noticed her mother was gone and probably won't be coming back she rolled up her sleeves exposing it but she did more likely because of the heat. Mae was not that strong to filling the truck always broke out a quick sweat or two. She went to examine all the produce and check that everything was in the correct order before she started with the small and easy boxes that were average in weight. That was half of them which already drained her. Still morning and already a tired fuck. She needed to shape up stat... that is if she doesn't want to let her heart out with these big crates.

Approaching the bigger crates of pumpkins she lowered down and grasped the edge of it and started pulling and moving it slowly, slowly to the truck, sliding it against the ground which was not aiding her. Their small carrier was a bust so this was going to take a while for Mae. How joyous.

Emily Granger was awoken with a sharp prod to the shoulder. The first thing she saw was a flow of red hair beaming down at her. She sat up groggily, taking in her surroundings. Apparently she had fallen asleep on the living room sofa. The remote control lay at her feet and a Care Bears blanket was draped over her.

"Emmy you fell asleep watching National Geographic again!" the read head giggled. "Don't you have work in a little while? You don't want to be late again."
Emily's gaze darted from Holly to the clock on the wall and she gasped, realising she was still in her clothing from the night before. "Oh bugger!" she exclaimed, springing alert so rapidly that she fell off the sofa, landing face first onto a beanbag chair. "Bugger, bugger, bugger!" she muttered, beginning a mad dash.

Holly watched her with amusement, used to Emily's frantic rushing in the mornings.

Their other roommate emerged from the bathroom just as Emily sped passed her. With a raised eyebrow the girl shrugged as though this was a regular occurrence. She and Holly stood by the front door, one of them dangling Emily's keys and the other holding her ready packed bag and a breakfast bar. Without much thought Emily took both from them as she headed out.

"Cheers girls, you're both lifesavers! I'll bring you back some doughnuts!"

With only two minutes to spare, the brunette managed to make it to Cafe Styx just in time. Unfortunately her first customers happened to be the Samson twins. Her least favourite. Both seemed to always give her hassle and she would love to tell them what she thought of them, but it was more than her job's worth so she remained polite until after she had dealt with them.

Once she was out of sight and had a moment to herself she took the small notepad that was supposed to be used for taking orders from her apron pouch and began sketching out the final touches of the comical caricatures she had been drawing of the Samson twins, her mind completely preoccupied now. She might not have the assertiveness to tell them about themselves, but she could always have a laugh.

Scarlett Hawthorne
37b9d80a116cb6f1df3376f966170cab.jpg

Mornings were absolute murder for Scarlett, especially when she had a late night tearing down the set. It had been 4 in the morning before she had even been able to leave the venue, and that barely gave her enough time to get to the bus station with her guitar in time to busy while the morning commuters were waiting in line. The more people she entertained, the more money she would make. She was still rather struggling to make ends meet, so sleep was just one more thing Scarlett needed to sacrifice to maintain her independence and not have to go back to the homeless shelter.

Once the lines had died down at the bus stop, Scarlett removed the money that had been collected in her guitar case. Too tired to count it now, especially all the change, she slid it into the pocket of her worn, tight-fitting jeans. At least she had enough for a nice, large cup of coffee. Thoughts of the warm caffeinated beverage dancing in her head, she carefully packed up her guitar and slung it over her shoulder to make the trek to Cafe Styx.

Looks like I arrived at a good time; this place looks busy. Scarlett stepped into line, her gaze moving to the other occupants of the coffee shop. Ah the Samson twins, always causing a scene. They always looked ready to walk off a page of a magazine while Scarlett was made aware that she probably looked like a bit of a mess. Again. Her long red hair was snarled at the ends, and her eyeliner was definitely smudged from her sleepily rubbing her eyes. At least she had been performing at a smaller venue the night before, so she had only air one of her off the shoulder shirts rather than her extravagant affairs she saved to the shows at the casino. Where she knew Carisa would meet her. But she definitely wasn't making an effort to try to always look flawless on those nights just for one woman. That would be crazy, attachment talk.

Finally the next in line, Scarlett greeted Emily with a tired but friendly smile."I'll take a house coffee with four shots of espresso." After taking another glance around the cafe, she asked, "Ever thought of having live music?" She had no manager, so all promotion was self-promotion. It was just lucky for her that she was graced with enough confidence to seek out every opportunity.

Nathan;

Nathan groaned as he forced himself up out of the confines of his blankets that he'd honestly become quite comfortable in. Bare feet padding softly against the hardwood floor of his bedroom. It was drafty and Nathan hated it. He didn't understand why his father had decided this would be a good idea anyway, sending in away for so long. But, then again, with no father to monitor him, he didn't exactly have to do what he was told. You know what they say, when the cat's away the mouse will play. Nathan smiled and strutted over to his closet, patting his bare, freshly waxed, chest as he decided what to wear. Blue eyes scrutinized a pair of bright yellow trousers before passing by them and plucking out and pink pair. Nathan nodded, humming as he tosses the pants over his shoulder and continued shuffling through his closet until he found a lime green sweater.

"Nothing better than green and pink." Nathan pulled his closet shut and laid the outfit out in his bed. He was just about to pull off the red and yellow plaid pajama pants hanging off his hips when he remembered shoes. Nathan ran a hand through his hair and spun around in distress. While in the process of grabbing a pair of brown loafers from his closet, he also decided to grab a white collared dress shirt to wear under his sweater. He closed his closet again and spun on his heel, actually getting dressed this time around. With a shower taken the night before and a hair cut had not to days earlier, he was clean cut and ready to go. Nathan slipped his shoes on and plucked a black blazer jacket off his desk chair as he swooped out of his room.

It was a little too warm outside to layer his blazer over his sweater so Nathan settled for draping it over his shoulder as he approached the café for something to rid his eyes of those awful circles just beginning to form. One hand buried in his pocket and the other holding his jacket. He took a breath just before the café entrance, placing a masknof a cocky smile over his features, before pulling the door open and waltzing inside. His eyes scanned the counter as he approached, leaning up against it in waiting for a barista.

Gene Abadi
Despite his energetic nature, this young man was not a morning person. It took food to bring him back to his overzealous self. And that was the first thing on his mind when he opened his grey-blue eyes. His phone buzzed against the nightstand for a few moments before it started blaring his 80s playlist--his alarm clock. The young man, Gene, blindly fumbled with his phone until the music stopped. He slowly moved his legs over the side of his bed, sat up, and dragged his feet to the kitchen. His eyes were hardly opened; he nearly bumped into the wall on the way. When Gene opened the fridge, he was a little confused.

"Daaad!" he called. "We don't have m--wait..." It took him a minute to realize he wasn't at home. He had officially moved out yesterday, and was now sharing a two-bedroom apartment with a young woman named Mae he became acquainted with. This was his new home now. Oh yeah. Well, she didn't seem to be here as of now. So he made breakfast for himself. Orange juice, crispy bacon, and a perfectly-flipped omelet for breakfast. And as soon as he had that nourishment in his stomach, things were looking up.

Grabbing a shower and getting dressed, he had a bit of some free time before he had to turn in for work at The Real McCoy, so he decided to simply take a walk in the park. He had a spring in his step while he listened to his playlist, humming along to Michael Jackson's I Want You Back. That was when he spotted someone and pulled down his headphones and let them rest around his neck.

"Ellie? Ellie!" he exclaimed, waving his arm. He jogged to the bench and plopped down right next to her. "Hi!" His smile dimmed when he realized she hadn't looked up. Her face was planted down against a newspaper she was holding. Gene briefly wondered if she had just fallen asleep, but that turned out not to be the case. "Hey, what's wrong?" He placed a hand on her shoulder. This question was often asked when he found his good friend Eleanor Chao. She usually wasn't in the best of spirits, and Gene always did his best to make her feel better. Even if that meant making a fool out of himself to make her laugh.

It was rare when Ellie smiled, but her smile would brighten a room like the fourth of July.

Jin-Xiang Shen
The alarm clock on the dresser beeped insistently, awakening a young man from a dreamless sleep. He sat up, comforter falling to his stomach and revealing his bare torso. He stretched his arm and let his fist fall on the alarm clock; immediately the beeping ceased to continue. The young man, Jin, threw the comforter off to the side and popped his knuckles. Shirtless but not pantless, he made his way to the kitchen and gathered what he needed to make breakfast. Smoothie, eggs sunny-side up, toast, and bacon--the whole meal was wolfed down.

He took a cold shower and threw on some athletic but simple wear, then he was out on his way for a morning run--as per usual. It was a little chilly this morning, but that didn't bother him much. In fact, Jin liked the way the cold air felt in his lungs and with every breath, he felt refreshed. This was just a minor part of his exercise routine. Past the park, past the Cafe Styx--there seemed to be a long line--Jin intended to run for a whole extra hour. Well, until he saw a pretty little face he was fond for.

His eyes lit up and a closed smile blossomed on his stubbled face. He slowed down, stopping next to her. "Well," he said, "if it isn't the grocer girl. Good mornin'." Jin briefly glanced down at the produce she had to load into her family's truck. She was obviously having trouble with them. He leaned down and lifted up the one she was trying to transfer, and he packed it into the truck with ease. "Y'know...you can throw out your back like that."

Marilyn let out a long, loud yawn as she trudged through the street toward Cafe Styx. It was pretty much the hub of the town. People were always there. Her eyes barely open and her legs and arms stiff from the intense drumming she had done the night before, Autumn decided it would be a good idea to make herself look a little bit presentable. Gathering up her dishevelled auburn hair, she took her drumsticks and wrapped her hair around them in a messy bun. Then she attempted to smooth out any crinkles in her favourite 'Keep Calm and Don't Sleep With the Band' t-shirt. Once she was satisfied that she didn't look like something out of the Walking Dead, she headed into the warmth of the cafe instantly spotting the familiar figure of Scarlett, the lead singer of the band Autumn had just played with only two hours ago. She also spotted a few other people in the room, too many to count. A guy she thought was called Nathan caught her attention for his bold choice of colours. Green sweater and pink pants? Bold move! She said as such as she passed him.
"Nice look dude. I always said real men wear pink!" she gave him a quick wink as she passed and then turned her attention to Scarlett. "Hey Red, fancy seeing you here. What's a pretty girl like you doing in a place like this? Can I buy you a drink?" She joked, using all the cheesy pickup lines she could think of. "Great show last night. You rocked." She took another look at the tired looking rock star and added, "Going for the panda eye look? It suits you." She of course did not mean it in a disrespectful way, but Autumn's sarcasm was easily misconstrued at times.

As usual, Arabella arrived early at the Seven Seas Bookstore for her shift. Her classes at the university didn't start until after lunch, so she usually worked here in the mornings and then headed over. The store's owner, Mrs. Elliot, was a kind lady who often made Ara cookies just because.

While that was a perk of the job, Ara did it mostly because of all the adventures that seemed to lie unopened, waiting for someone to explore them. That was half the reason Mrs. Elliot had named the store so. She'd told Ara that her daughter, Amberly, had dreamed of becoming a pirate when she was a little girl, going on adventures like the ones in stories. That memory always fascinated Ara, for adventure was exactly what she looked for as well!

Ara flipped the Closed sign over to the Open side and pinned her name tag on her blouse. Business at the store seemed slow at times, but it was the most popular bookstore in Recuerdo. It certainly wasn't frequented by anyone Ara wanted to avoid, so that was a relief. No way was she ever going to face anyone from high school ever again.

Taking a seat behind the counter with her latest book in hand, Ara checked her watch. Maybe she'd call her brother sometime later today. For now, she'd wait, with the adventure in her hands as her only source of companionship.

With the struggles of trying to slide the crate across the ground she wasn't aware that a young male had approached her from behind and next to her. The subtle husky voice caused her to jolt dropping the crate on top of her toes which as always her clumsiness got her hurt, she bit her lower lip trying to hold back her tongue as the male took the crate and lifted it as easily as if he was carrying and simple dish.

Her toes felt as if they're getting bigger and smaller with that impact before, standing upwards holding the small of her back as it ached as well.
"Good morning to you too, fitness guy." she used the same adjective he called her only to his occupation instead. Just like that crate she had about ten more. She frowned at how easy he made that look while she was getting badgered trying to lug it in.

"You know me... I am not in the best shape to lift such a crate. I mean I'd throw out my back any way I try."
she let out with a soft sigh, lightly scratching the back of her help. "My mom really needs to hire some muscle for this. It wears me out each and every time." Many times Mae-Lin complained to her mother to get aid in the shop but her mother refused as they barely have enough to go by. Nakamura's Fruit n' Veggies just opened and their mother needs to pay her debts.

Carisa

"And we're all finished! Are you ready to be blown away?" A brassy voice crooned over the sounds of a bustling salon. It was too early in the day for there to be many clients, but the radio was blaring modern hits as usual and the majority of the salon's employees were hurrying about to refill their supplies and ready their stations. All the seats sat empty--except Carisa's. Her pointed, black nails gripped the chair as she spun it to face the mirror that stretched the entire length of the salon.

"Oh of course you love it, I had no doubts!" She laughed as she removed the plastic smock from around the older women's shoulders. Her client nodded approvingly, running her fingers through the short, neat cut. "Hurry along now, I haven't got all day," the lilac haired woman jokingly sneered, pretending to kick her client from the chair. The older woman responded good-naturedly, as Carisa found was usually the case. Despite her harsh attitude that her coworkers often berated her for, most of her clients loved it. They seemed to find it amusing, like it was some sort of entertainment experience along with a nice haircut. Carisa had no problems with this--act like her usual, sassy self while still receiving good reviews? Perfect.

"Don't forget the tip, though I know you wouldn't dream of it," Carisa winked at the woman while she rang her up at the register, "And I'll see you next week about that dye job. What do you think about matching me? I think it would look wonderful, even for a sophisticated woman such as yourself." She flipped her hair dramatically, eyeing up the customer as she dropped cash into the tip jar. "Though I may be biased, I absolutely love purple. Now don't let the door hit you on the way out!"

The rest of the day was looking to be quite slow. Carisa slowly swept up her station, hoping things would soon pick up. Unfortunately she didn't have any clients again until the afternoon, so it was likely that she would be stuck shadowing the more experienced workers--despite her apparent skill. If things were really slow, she might even have to study for her final for her certification. She shuddered at the thought. Carisa briefly studied her nails before pulling her phone from her back pocket. In passing, she had the idea to reach out to Scarlett and see what she was up to, but she quickly dismissed. Where was the fun in coming off as attached?

Instead, she decided to invade the conversations of her coworkers. Most of them were older women, with a penchant for town gossip. The majority of their fodder was from their clients, juicy rumors were even more valuable than a hefty tip. They were not fans of Carisa, but that only brought her enjoyment. She loved the drama that came from it. However, they were most accepting of her during their gossip periods, since she often had delectable tidbits to add. Today's story seemed to focus around the town's dressmaker. Carisa couldn't recall her name, but did remember deeming her quite the ditz. According to her coworkers, it sounded as though she had actually snapped. Raising an eyebrow, her interest in the topic was fading quickly. Their information wasn't solid and they soon moved on to the town's recent engagements and marriage, which Carisa wanted no part of.

She found herself leaning in the open doorway of the storefront as a last resort. Town was slow this early in the morning, and the individuals that she was able to stare down suggestively would just quickly hurry away. After a bored groan, she called out into the open air for some unknown force to relieve her of this boredom, or at least strike her dead.

Unaware of her surroundings the female was about to have newspaper headlines printed on her forehead if she stayed like that. On the bright side it would match her black hat. Although I don't think the 'JOB POSTS IN NEED' on foreheads was a trend... yet. However, she heard her name being yelled by a familiar voice, a very familiar voice. A voice that causes her to giggle each time she was down in the dumps, time like these.... almost every time. A voice that belonged to none other than her big brother persona, Eugene or Gene since he absolutely hated someone calling him by his first name.

She didn't look up but she instead let out a sigh, "Don't you ever get tired of asking me that Gene? When is anything ever not wrong?" she muttered in a monotonous tone at the moment. Feeling a supportive hand on her shoulder she slowly lifted her head to reveal a saddened oriental female whom had some strands stuck to her forehead.

She wondered how he did it. How he always kept himself smiling like that all the time. When she can barely lift up the corners of her mouth. The female didn't even speak but instead she planted the newspaper on his lap which had all job vacancies crossed out with a red pen. By her. It should be enough to answer.
"I am so useless. I can't even keep a job. Let alone find another. This is the seventh time this season."

Alejandro Castillo
alex-meraz-1334522935.jpg

The morning diverged only slightly from the usual plan for the pride of the noble Castillo family. The first couple of hours of his morning were spent trying to keep in good enough condition to remain a contender for the next Olympics, silver having not been good enough for him, After his jog around the park, he had went straight away to have training sessions with his coach. They had worked on him practicing his skills with his off hand, actually fencing left handed to throw off his competition and to learn to counter a left handed fencer better. There was going to be a competition held for the tri-state area at the university, and Alejandro intended to win.

Once he had finished with practice and showered as well as changed into a pair of black jeans and a buttoned down shirt that he never buttoned completely. To him, it felt suffocating to do so. Once dressed, he rode his black motorcycle to a few different book stores only to not find what he needed for work on his thesis.

The Seven Seas was the last place on his list to visit, and he desperately hoped that he could find the resources here to complete his work. Sure, he still technically had another semester to have it completed by, but Alejandro didn't want his work with his fencing career to impede his studies. He stepped into 8th book store and just took in the atmosphere for a moment. Hm, it had charm. Finally his gaze turned toward the girl seated behind the counter.

Like a predator sizing up his opposition, Alejandro's dark brown eyes took in the attractive features of the girl. She seemed interested in the book in her hands. He approached the desk, taking care to keep a tall, confident posture while maintaining a smile. While he loved to play the game of finding out what combination of words and actions would endear him to others, Alejandro having no preference between men and women, he was unfortunately on a quest for source materials. "Pardon me, Miss," he started, baritone voice gentle with only a hint of an accent. "I am in dire need of source materials regarding 17th century poetry for my thesis. I would be in your debt if you could assist me." Now that he was looking at her more closely..God, why did she look so familiar?

"Will there ever be flowers that grow in the darkest part of my mind?"
Location: Away from the crowd
Scenario: "You're not alone"
Mood: Understanding but concerned
With: (formerly) Giselle, N'A [open]
Darkness enveloped her silhouette as she inhaled and exhaled slowly, keeping a steady breath and heart rate. Her bright blue eyes (though it seemed rather dull much more recently) were the only thing that illuminated the blackness of her room. She had been up the whole night, never sleeping a wink as she was afraid of what would happen if she drifted off into dreamworld, or rather, the place she liked to called wonderland since her mind is wandering in her sleep. The medicine was about to wear off soon and she knew it was almost time to take another dosage. It had been a week since her mother and sister took her for her monthly check-up. And to say the least, she wasn't getting better but she wasn't worsening. She was. . neutral which was good. Allison hated the idea of closed off walls without windows and needles. Just thinking about that made her take a sharp inhale.

After waiting for the sun light to shine through her winder, Allison sat upright on her bed. She covered her lips slightly, yawning into it as she got ready for the day. Allison always loved those moments in between "waking up" and getting ready for the day since it was that 3 peaceful hours where she wasn't on a dosage and she was free to do what she wanted. The doctor allowed that much freedom and she was taking advantage of it as much as she could. Allison hummed to herself, softly singing that she could think up 6 possible things before breakfast, "There's a potion that can make you shrink," she began, as she finished brushing her teeth to now her hair. She stared in the mirror as she sang. Her voice was soft, airy, and dreamy even, as if it came from a lullaby. Once she finished brushing her hair, humming as she did so when the first line was over, she began again, "A cake that can make you grow."

Soon enough, through her whole wardrobe change, she was able to finish singing the six lines that made her feel refreshed and much more alive than ever. However, once she made her way to the first floor, Allison stopped in her steps as she looked at the table where her tablets were. Her mother stared at her, eyeing her to make sure she took it. With a deep sigh, Allison slowly and gracefully made her way over and took what she had to take. It never pleased her, but she had to. To get "better".

Once Allison made her way out the door, she felt a wave of more forceful calmness hit her nerves. It always made her stop in her spot for a while to let it settle in after the nausea surpasses. After some time passed, Allison made her way into town, avoiding the streets and loud noises as she took the safest way towards Cafe Styx. She wanted to try her best to get another foot closer into the store. The only person motivating her to go inside was her best fri- no, her sister, Emily. Once she neared Styx, she stayed at least 10 feet away, nervously figetting with her hands as she saw people pass by her. She took note of the loud bell chime ringing in her ears as people walked inside and outside the cafe. Her heart began to quicken as it beated heavily against her chest. Her breathing began to hitch as she felt frozen in her spot and her hands were beginning to become clammy. She tried to swallow the nervousness down in the pit of her stomach but she only felt more bile rising out of her throat.

With all the courage and might she had, Allison took at least four steps up, closer than to where she was yesterday. The finish line was still more than a mile long, but she was progressing, no matter how slow. A part of her smile and whooped in joy, but the other part dreaded going even further, especially when her ears kept ringing at the sound of so much noise! Shaking her head, Allison quickly turned in the opposite direction, keeping her head down as she bypassed anyone and didn't look at anyone. She walked faster than her feet could. Once she was in a much more quiet and secluded area, Allison took a deep breathe, inhaling and exhaling as she swallowed her saliva back. Her throat was burning but even more so she felt as if her legs would kick.

But, before that happened, she felt a gentle touch on her hand and her shoulder. Sweat slightly fell down the side of Allison's face as her eyes widened like a deer in headlights. It took Allison a few moments to calm down and realize the person who touched her was none other than Holly. However, as Allison took in Holly's appearance, she felt as if something was off. Holly. . was different form normal, her features and her expression. . Holly' eyes were wide, mad like hers. Her face was full of confusion and mixed emotions, as if she'd seen and heard something that couldn't be true, but made sense. She was as pale as a ghost. Holly. . wasn't herself. . she wasn't gliding or chirpy. Holly's smile even seemed deflated and strained. Allison knew. . those signals. . but what was it? "H-holly. . ?" Allison squeaked out, still on high alert.

However, as Allison said her name, Holly froze in her spot and she only gripped Allison tighter. "No. . " Holly began to whisper, shaking her head violently, "That's not my name." At those words, Allison's eyes only widened at the revelation. Allison shook her head, trying to also calm not only Holly down but herself. "H-holly. . what are you saying?" She asked Emily's best friend and roommate. What has gotten into Holly? Holly, on the other hand, made eye contact with Allison, her eyes pleading, "Allison, please, listen to me. My name is Giselle. I am from Andalasia and I am suppose to wed my Prince Edward. Prince Edward! We aren't who we say we are." Allison stood there in shock. Her eyes widening as she searched Holly's eyes for any signs of betrayal or lies. But there were none.

Allison knew Holly believed what she said full heartedly, as much as she. . tried to deny Wonderland, and how could. . how could she deny Holl- no, Giselle of what she believed to be true? Even she. . believed in another land. . . and that she went by another name. But. . how? Why was Holl- no, Giselle saying this? Shaking her head, Allison whispered, "Hol- Giselle you can't go and tell everyone about this! They'll think you are mad!" She exclaimed worriedly, as a thought appeared on her face as she smiled slightly, "Although, the best people are." However, as she finished those words, Allison felt a shiver up her spine before she shook her head again, knowing what it was like to not be believed and to be seen as crazy. However, she wouldn't let Holl-, no, Giselle feel that way. It was the only way she felt not alone. . and for some reason, deep down. . Allison knew. . Giselle wasn't lying, but. . what was going on. .?

With another whisper and words of confidence, Allison spoke quietly to Giselle, "Listen to me. You mustn't speak of this to anyone else. If you do, they'll treat you as how they treat me! You don't want that." Allison said only for Giselle to shake her head vehemently. "No, Allison, I have to tell them. Something is wrong here. This world, it's. . it's not right. . it's not ours. Thank you for believing me. But, I must, I must go now." At that Giselle took off and before Allison could go after her, she was gone.

Scarlett looked up as soon as her friend came over, the redhead giving a bit of a laugh. "I don't know, I usually don't let strange women buy me drinks. For a girl like you, I might make an exception, though," she teased light-heartedly. The fact that she had let Carisa by her a drink was a completely other story. Most of Scarlett's personal taboos went out the window when she was around. It was both terrifying and thrilling. Casually flirting with Autumn, though, that was familiar and safe ground.

At the mention of her makeup, Scarlett shrugged her shoulders a little, the guitar case on her back sliding a bit from the gesture. "I thought so too! I mean, girls love cute pandas, so I figured I would have them all over me if I looked like one. Flawless logic." She never took Autumn's comments to heart, honestly, especially when they were funny most of the time. It was part of what made them such fast friends. And their shared love of music, of course.

"Oh, hey, I think the set we played last night was pretty stellar. Do you want to use that set for tonight at the casino, or try a new arrangement?" she asked, her tired eyes regaining a measure of alertness at talk of performances. It was a draining life, hopping from show to show and trying to get the band as many new venues as she could. But she wouldn't trade this freedom and independence for all the gold jewelry and 3 course meals her family provided. This, she felt, was what she was meant to do.

The sun shone through the windows, which made a young woman open her eyes sluggishly with slightly mourning sound when she woke up. Jana did not slept at all because of the headache. A lot of things had happened her lately, especially when her migraine symptoms were getting worse. Every time, when she interacts with her friends, family or acquaintance, she hears an earsplitting voices. Their sounds resembles a screaming crowds, who are yelling for stress and help. The more she socialize with them, the crumbier her condition became. At once she even fainted in public front of people. It was good chance for Zara to spread noteless rumors about Jana. Which obviously made her father worried for fear and trying to resolve the mystery of the disease that is behind her symptoms by reading variety books, documents, everything – but in vain.

Fortunately Jana has erudite to live with her symptoms by using her own methods to ease it in order that her parent will not lead her on his clinic and take multiple of samples and made him believe that she can control it. This time, she had an extremely bad luck to relieve it.

A firm knocking made Jana to widened her eyes while she was daydreaming by herself and jumped off on her bed. ’’Come in.’’ she said reluctantly. The door opens up. Doctor Bakarim – her father came into the room with silky onyx dressing gown ’’Good morning, Jana?’’ he said in very deep, baritone voice and crinkled his eyes and nose with a fatherly smirk. ’’Morning, pa.’’ she half-smiled and tried to avoid an eye contact with him so he will not notice her drained, red eyes. She was dithery, what is going to happen. What Mr. Bakarim tries to do this time? That is all, what she would think right now.

’’Wait a second…’’ he
freezes and stared with his wide eyes at Jana and walked quickly right in front of her, later grabbed both of his hands on her shoulders. ’’You didn’t sleep at all, do you?’’ an anxious words came out at his mouth. ’’It’s not a big deal dad…’’ she said carelessly. ’’Yes it is! I knew it! Your headache has not cured, right…?’’ ’’No dad, I did not. It’s just because I was watching Riverdale on Netflix on my phone. That’s all.’’ she tried to use justification to avoid more circumstances. She had enough of pressure and there is no time for another one. ’’Are you sure?’’

’’Yes, I’m sure…!’’ she raised her voice a little bit. ’’Watch your tone, miss.’’ he raised his voice as well and slightly lowered his eyebrows for irritation what Jana did. Suddenly, she felt guilty what she done ’’I’m sorry dad, it’s just I watched too much Netflix that I can’t control my feelings.’’ she sighted and runs hands thought her hair. ’’Apology accepted. You know I tried to do what is your best. I don not want to lose you I won’t do same mistake ever again and that’s for sure.’’ he hugged her delicately. She was able to smell his perfume, which was a mix of scents of blueberries and blackberries. She felt like she was ambling on the forest with many berries. She responded his hug by hugging besides him.

She sorta understood, what his father has been through. He lost the most important thing, what husband could fear – his partner, lover,a part of life. Still, he has not any rights to ged rid of his negativity on Jana, who also has been through a lot too. In deep inside she loved his father and would do anything to make him happy. But this unhealthy behavior has to end.

Jin must've startled Mae when he greeted her; he watched her drop the crate on her toes when he did. Ouch... That must've hurt. "You alright?" he asked, concerned. Mae's clumsiness seemed to be her most prominent characteristic, but she was no ditz. And goddamn, she sure was pretty. Hearing her call him "fitness guy" just now made Jin smirk. He strode over and picked up another crate of pumpkins and loaded them in the truck for her.

"Muscle, huh?" he said. "Well, I'd volunteer for ya, but I already got my hands full in the gym." Jin rubbed the stubble along his chiseled jaw for a moment, thinking. "Actually, I could help you. You see, you can take my fitness class. You'll build some muscle so moving these crates will be a piece of cake. I'll even throw in a discount for you." A sly smile came across his face as he winked at Mae.

Annabelle fought to keep her tears at bay as she stared at the page of words in front of her eyes. Though she knew the text in her hand like the back of her hand, everything seemed slightly far away and distorted, colours seemed dimmer and nothing made sense.

HELENA: How happy some o'er other some can be!
Through Athens I am thought as fair as she.
But what of that? Demetrius thinks not so;
He will not know what all but he do know.

That particular passage caused the tears welling up in her eyes to erupt and fall one by one rolling like transparent pearls down her cheeks. She had always resonated with that monologue, but just now the truth of the matter was too much for her.

"Annabelle you're honestly great, but...you're like...a sister to me, you know? I couldn't possibly think of you that way." The words Caleb, one of her oldest friends and longtime flames had said to her the day before echoed in her head as she shut A Midsummer Night's Dream and forced herself to rise from her bed. She was always 'like a sister' to every guy it seemed.

After absently picking her outfit and forcing herself to face the day, she left the house without incident. Her parents rarely acknowledged her if it was not to criticise or admonish her. Besides, they were hardly ever home in any case. She debated driving to Cafe Styx, but knew that she couldn't handle being around that amount of people right now. Instead, she began walking in whichever direction her feet carried her, only barely taking in her surroundings and making sure to plaster on a smile that didn't reach her eyes. Class would not start for a couple of hours at the least.

Gene Abadi
Ellie hadn't bothered to lift her head while she spoke, even when he was right next to her. That made him even more concerned. Was she crying? He didn't her the tremble in her voice.

"I'm never gonna stop caring enough to not ask you that question. You're like a little sister to me, Ellie. I want to see you happy--always." As a response to his previous question, Ellie placed the newspaper she was holding onto his lap; his eyes scrutinized it. Almost every job offer on it was crossed out in red ink, circled then crossed out, or had little scrawled notes next to them. Some of them read: "not enough experience" and "been fired from there before".

"Ellie..." Gene muttered sadly. She was so hard on herself. "You're worth so much more in this world than you think. Don't let anyone tell you different--even yourself..." He didn't notice the jogging guy who had stopped just to watch them from afar. "It took me a bunch of times applying and searching before I had even gotten a job at The Real McCoy... Oh! I saw TuneTown was hiring the other day. I know the owner of the club--she's awesome! I can talk to her and vouch for you!" Gene was practically beaming. The position that was open seemed perfect for Ellie. Surely, that was the job that would make her happy!

Etienne La Croix

Etienne continued to watch, scrutinizing the scene until he was satisfied that it seemed that he had misjudged the situation. The boy was actually cheering up the young woman on the bench, and for a moment he felt a bit bad for jumping to such negative conclusions. It wouldn't stop him from doing it again, but he did feel remorse.

Appeased that the girl in distress was being attended to, Etienne continued his jog through the park toward his favorite place to start his cool downs. As he approached the brook he liked to dunk his head in to cool off, he spotted another girl who didn't appear to be in high spirits. The dark haired young man slowed his jog to a walk, trying to rein in his breathing before he approached the pretty girl. If she hadn't been upset, Etienne never would have the nerve to come talk to her while looking like he did. Sweat soaked white shirt and short hair also a sweaty mess, he didn't look like he stepped off the pages of GQ. Her distress, however, drove him to push past any nervousness.

"Hey, are you all right?" he asked, tenor voice filled with concern. Though socially awkward, he was observant and clearly saw the tear tracks on her face from where she had been crying previously.
