Okeydoke! I can adjust the concept if that helps so that my character returned to Creation before the Mandate of Sol left, thus already having spent some time acclimating to the world the party left behind.

Alternatively, I can roll up a different character if you don't want to deal with the Getimian non-reality Origin stuff. My plan B was somewhere around the lines of an Exigent blessed by Vanileth, the God of Artificial Flight. I figure a god like that couldn't pass up the opportunity to learn about a cutting-edge airship like the Mandate of Sol. As such, Vanileth petitioned for his exalted agent to have a place amongst the crew where they can spend their tour learning the ins and outs of the vessel with a plan to report their findings to him upon their return.

Whatever you decide, just let me know and I'll be happy to oblige. :)
I like the second idea better, over the first. That would be my personal preference.

Awesome possum, than I'll pivot to the Exigent and get to work on a Chosen of Vanileth! I may need some help with figuring out Exigent charms, but I imagine the rest should be pretty simple.

He would want some skilled in research to aid his efforts, some skilled in combat to help keep the mission safe, and some skilled in various craft trades to help keep the Mandate of Sol operating efficiently even in the Wyld. What role would you be selected for?

Combat expert definitely, high physique and Close Combat. With a three in Sagacity
 
How is everyone coming along with their characters? I see some of you have submitted some works in progress and have started their sheets. Anyone have questions or concerns you need to bring up?
Still working on filling in a few narrative details, like name, lineage, et cetera, since even in 2E Dragon-Blooded lore for this era of the First Age is largely a blank canvas. Also, I've been conflicted on what I should do with merits to match the concept while keeping our starting predicament in mind.

After reading over the Twin Crescent Stone, I've considered taking two, one to slot in each blade of a pair of short daiklaves for Ebon Shadow style, with the phantom weapons providing a neat augment to the whole sneaky blade-fighter angle. However, the stones themselves don't have a mechanical effect that I can work with. So I'll probably ditch the stones themselves and use the idea for an evocation write-up instead.

Even with that all said, that process only helped me flesh out one with four more to go.
 
Can't help but feel that this was inspired by a certain plot point in Young Exalts and the Sea.
 
Planning to post basic outline of character this weekend. Been a bit wild, lol, I started out leaning towards more of a warrior with slight Craft to repair his panoply. But I listened to an interesting podcast about Walt Disney and his development process planning Disneyland East in Palm Beach Gardens in the late 50s/early 60s, and it must've sunk into the subconscious of my character build. Now my character is leaning more into the crafting innovator side with some vestigial warrior elements, so required retooling as I read about how the Essence system works.
 
I still need to finish my characterโ€™s combat stats, intimacies and background. Iโ€™ve just been busy lately and putting it off.
 
I am in no hurry to start, but I am hoping that we can launch the game by next weekend. I donโ€™t foresee immediate combat, but one never knows what the players come up with in their devious minds.

I'm not familiar with the show, but I look forward to what you come up with.
 
I have a few ideas I'm trying to wrap up. I've recently been made aware that Pillars of Creation released a month ago with more options for Exalted Essence, as well as the previews for the Exalted Essence Player's Guide (a new supplement currently in crowdfunding), so it's giving me a few more resources to draw from.

I'll try not to dawdle too much longer. Just wanted to call this out, because in Pillars of Creation alone, the major gap in my character's utility was immediately solved within a few minutes of skimming charms. Hope it helps others as well.

So, is this Exalted rp set in a futuristic setting then? I just happened to look at the Character thread.
