  and so, the world around me slowed to a halt, fading into grey. i remember it being dead silent, with nothing but the sounds of my own blood flow grating at my ears… back then, i didn’t really know what to make of it, and even now, i draw blanks. looking around didn’t seem to be getting me anywhere, so i just waited.
  
  eventually, one of the nearby hotels lit up. it was the only thing within my sight that had any sort of color or movement. naturally, i gravitated over; i don’t know what my reasoning behind it was. maybe because i thought other people would be there? maybe i would’ve found out what was happening? who knows.
  
  after peeking around outside for a bit, i finally worked up the courage to enter the building, and once i did, the doors slammed shut behind me. my eyes registered a number of other people, standing around looking just as confused as i was. for some reason, no one bothered to initiate conversation, but i guess i understand. everything was so… weird.
  
  suddenly, the person who would call themselves “joker” entered the scene. said something about how we were all summoned because of something we desired immensely, from the bottom of our hearts. thinking about it, there really was something that i wanted… but anyway, after moments of questioning and pondering, people just let joker continue out of curiosity.
  
  what it essentially came down to was, we were players in some other-wordly game. if we won, which was apparently done by completing missions and getting “all of the cards”, we’d get our wishes granted.
  
  was the situation really off? perhaps. but maybe… this was a chance.
  
• Plotline

  hi, welcome to 願望𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐞𝐦! this rp is inspired off of a number of things, but knowledge on them isn't required whatsoever to join!
  
  essentially, characters must come together to complete missions to collect cards from a standard playing deck. should they complete the set, they win the game, and their deepest desire becomes a reality (thus, everyone has a reason as to why they were called away). the missions have varying difficulty and nature, which is depicted by the number and suit of the card shown when they’re “locked” into doing the task.
  
  cards with value 1 would be the easiest difficulty, while king cards are the hardest. as for suits, the spade targets physicality, the diamond targets intelligence, the club targets teamwork, and the heart targets emotions.
  
  the hotel the characters walk into at the beginning is called mono palace, and it serves as the main hub of this game. characters will find that if they try to leave through the front or back entrance, they’ll only be met by pitch black nothingness; looking outside the windows will show the same thing. the building itself has 11 floors and a basement.
  
  the 9th, 10th, and 11th floors contain the sleeping quarters of the characters. everyone has their own room, and for some reason, it’s personalized… each of those floors have communal bathrooms as well.
  
  the first floor is the lobby/living area. there’s also a massive kitchen and dining space, not to mention an indoor public bath.
  
  the 2nd through 8th floors have doors that lead to other worlds/places where the missions will take place. had this been a normal lodge/hotel, they would’ve just been bedrooms.
  
  the basement is where the laundry room, trash incinerator, and mission spectator room are located.

  [ poi is smooth-brain, so she didn't realize how many players there were in the rp until she actually thought to count. thus, despite recently saying there may be a little more room, there is, in fact, not. ^ ^; ]
  
  overall, this rp has the potential to become pretty dark, given its nature, and it wouldn't be farfetched to say there's a possibility of character deaths occurring (not 100%, but...). characters aren't exactly expected to be of any one 'moral affiliation', as the idea is that the mono palace pulled in all different types of people from modern-day japan, regardless of who they were; the only thing they all have in common is the fact that they have something they really want.
  
  with all that being said, i do encourage comedy and light-hearted moments! the rp was made in a way where there could be many characters (and players), so it's important to have fun times within the story. speaking of the story, there is more to the plot than just completing missions, but you didn't hear that from me. c;
  
  

  Notes

  some things to keep in mind:
  
  - having access to discord is mandatory for this rp, as that's where all the ooc and announcement stuff will happen.
  
  - faceclaims should either be anime (or something close to it), or descriptions.
  
  - this is a semi-detailed rp, so no one-liners! a minimum of ~ 2 paragraphs is preferred.
  
  - people should post ic at least once or twice a week! that being said, if anything comes up and you don't think you'll be able to, please try to let us know beforehand.
  
  - ooc communication is super important! things are so much more fun if we're all talking to each other. o7
  
  - character individuality is super important! if i or someone else notice that your character has too many similarities to an already existing one, things will need to change.
  
  - currently, there's a max of two characters per player, but it's possible this may change later on.
  
  - this one should be obvious, but please do avoid godmodding and metagaming.
  
  - naturally, all rpn rules apply, and this extends to the discord server as well!

Not so much vibes as much as using AiB's actual card system. Not that I mind, it's pretty intuitive and cool.
