Taking place around 50-60 years after the events of LOK, Lin Beifong, the previous chief of metalbending police is now deceased, her successor, Terrick, a man whom she highly distrusted, has entirely changed the entire motive of the metal bending police. Crime runs rampant among the non benders, and the benders themselves are being locked up for what sometimes seems to be the mere fact that they can bend.
These benders are then thrown into the Republic City Prison, and forced to fight for their lives, with the hope of eventually being released, if only they can get to the top five, and the constant fear of being below the cut off mark, and culled at the end of the month.
