Appearance:
Standing at 6'2" with ashen white skin and hair Shen carries an imposing presence that demands attention, be it for his piercing golden eyes and exotic skin or just for his stature and demeanour. Rumors say that it also has to do with how quick he is able to burn through his wardrobe, but that is mere speculation at the end of the day.

Personality:
Simple and straightforward, he is a man that let his instincts guide his actions and pursue his goals with relentless zeal. His time suffering from the Dragon disease left him with a skewed sense of morality and an even more bizarre sense of humor.

History:
He was born in Jade with a rare physical condition called the dragon disease where his body would continuously overheat. Without a cure and without hope his parents left him for dead partially submerged in a lake where a passing pyromancer found him and rised him as his own, passing into him his flame and teaching to control it and overcome his disease.

With the pass of the years his disease continued to grow and eventually he was forced to leave in pilgrimage to search for a cure.

After facing numerous trials he reached the end of his pilgrimage, with his body was finally succumbing to the disease and hi mind numb and delirious from years of continuously burning, he was granted reprieve from a total stranger, and with the crest she gave him his tired mind formed an oath.

For granting him salvation at the end of his road he would give his life to her. As many times as he needed.

Abilities:
Sub crest of the Flame Monarch that carry with them the property of healing, allowing one to heal wounds or even return from the hands of death. Due to an unexpected affinity for this sub crest the use of the flames on himself results much easier at the cost of making the use of the flame on others extremely taxing.
The ability to use one's inner flame to various effects.
Known Spells: Fireball, Fire Orb, Bursting Fireball, Fire Surge, Fire Whip, Fire Storm, Great Combustion, Sacred Flame, Poison Mist, Acid Surge, Flash Sweat, Iron Flesh, Power Within, Carthus Flame Arc, Warmth.
For the purposes of this Rp you need to have passed to you the actual Flame (Dark Flame, Chaos Flame) to learn the spells. His master gave him a regular pyromancy flame.

The process of death and rebirth has an interesting effect on the body, allowing the human adaptability to mutate and strengthen the body far past it's intended natural limits.
Through numerous deaths his body failed to completely return to it's previous state granting a slight ashen texture to his skin along with a very high resistance to fire.

Equipment:
A giant slab of metal that can be melted mid combat containing a smaller fire resistant sword.
A set of fire resistant plate mail that is melted to the skin before combat, however the armor is lost after resurrecting.
Several light and cheap iron spears that can be thrown.

Weaknesses:
• His strongest moves tend to damage his body as much as his opponents.

• There is a grace period after his death during which his body has to burn and turn into ashes for him to revive.

• Water can greatly delay his resurrection by preventing his body from catching fire.

• Depending of the amount and type of damage he took he may be exhausted after resurrecting.

Plans for Development:
• Learn all the pyromancy spells and archive mastery in it.
• Aquire a chaos/dark pyromancy flame.
• Go mad after getting the chaos flame.
• Find the One Piece.

Other:
Because I would of course play a Dark Souls pyromancer, with all the baggage that implies.

Otrygg believes strongly that life is everyone's personal mountain. And he will reach his mountains peak, and scream his name from it's summit. And for one brief, beautiful moment the world will echo with his name.

History:
Otrygg awoke with a start. He had a brief moment to study his surroundings before the onset of immense pain. It was as if his entire body was on fire and his bones ached to their very cores, with his every breath bringing agony. But he was wrapped in clean bandages, either meaning he was being well taken care of or the bleeding had stopped, and by a warm fire. How had he gotten himself into this situation, he wondered? Then he remembered, it came to him in flashes.

The order to retreat had been given. The Nordsman had fought hard to repel the invaders, but with fresh troops reinforcing them it was a lost cause. There was a catch, however, and Otrygg knew this. Fresh men could easily catch a force of beleaguered and injured soldiers that had not had more than a moments rest. They could not escape, not like this. Not unless someone could hold back that tide. He would be that someone.

Alone he stood, on the bridge, his greatsword held firmly in his hands. He saw their force charging down, their war horns signaling their inevitable victory. Their shouts of triumph turning into shouts of fear as his greatsword bit into them. Pools of blood turned the bridge slick, and bodies began to pile high making movement difficult. But Otrygg stood atop it all, refusing to yield, refusing to let them cross until his friends had gotten away. He remembered the sky turning black as their archers loosed their volleys, and screaming in defiance at the cowards had fired them. He remembered his vision turning red as he lopped limbs off the invaders, and the smell of ozone as their weapons sparked off his and his armor. Then a spear came from beneath the bridge, burying itself deep into his side, and then the world went black.


He was supposed to be dead, he knew that much, but the pain was a reminder that he was not. He was not sure what kind of person would save an enemy that had just held back their entire army, but they certainly would want something from him in return. They will surely be surprised when he goes to gauge their eyes out.

Abilities:
  • Berskerkir: Otrygg looses himself in the fight, and attacks like a man possessed. Wounds do not phase him, and the fatigue he may have felt has seemingly vanished. This is only in the mind, however, for should his opponent(s) strike a mortal would he will still die.
  • Greatsword Mastery: Having fought with the large weapons his whole life, Otrygg has become a master at using the two handed sword to it's fullest potential.
  • The Dragon Slayer Crest he has been given has given him some resistances to draconic elements, such as a resistance to common breath attacks of a dragon (ie fire, lightning, poison, etc etc) and has made him all around sturdier.

Equipment:
  • Otryggs armor does not differ that greatly from that of Nordic warriors, a padded jerkin underneath chain mail and half plate. Much lighter than full plate and providing more protection than just a padded jerkin or chain mail, this combination strikes a balance between the two.
  • Wyrm Sunder is the massive, two handed sword gifted to him by the power of the Crest. Resembling a zweihander, Wyrm Sunder has an 8' blade, with a 2' hilt, and weighs an impressive eight pounds.

Weaknesses: Otrygg is still a human, a tougher than average human yes, but still a human.

Plans for Development:
  • Return to Nord, possibly meeting old friends and/or seeing how the kingdoms have developed, for better or for worse.
  • Reach his summit.

Other: A cookie to those that know what I'm basing Otrygg off of and what band I'm referencing.

Devora is made by two extreme personalities, you can either be on her good side or bad side.
If you're on her good side, you will get an overly loyal friend for life who will do anything just to keep you safe and sound. On the contrary, i
f you're on her bad side, you will get an irritating nemesis for eternity who will despise you with every inch of her body.
What if you're on her neutral side? It's simple, you won't get her attention, at all.
When Devora is in her Fission state, her demon form will think that everyone is on her bad side, while her angel form will think that everyone is on her good side. It's hard to control both forms to work in harmony, but Devora trains herself day and night to keep them balanced.

HISTORY
For ancients, Devora Demontine’s family had always been raised and trained as guards in Ulster. Her ancestors even had their name crafted in Hall of Fame for their deeds. Devora, as the oldest in her family, was expected to be a good role model for her 2 younger brothers. Thus, she dedicated her youth to training and pushed her body to achieve the best version of herself. Her training started when she was 7, mentored directly by her father.

By the age of 20, Devora finally climbed her way to second highest rank guard in Ulster. She was obligated to handle more complicated matters, aside from keeping peace in Ulster. Ulster’s main problem was the civil war triggered by the nobilities’ thirst for power. Therefore, she was assigned to keep the civil war’s causalities at minimum. Even though she didn’t have authority to interfere with the nobles’ businesses, Devora was allowed to shut down any noble families who endangered the innocent citizens. It was never really a troublesome battle against the nobles, but the situation changed extremely after the giants from Nord started to invade Ulster.

Years of battle against the non-human creatures were tiring and nasty. One giant was at least equal to 5 Ulster’s best men. Many were injured, death was inevitably. The guards’ numbers were rapidly decreasing. Some tried to learn magic, some tried to create destructive weapons, but it didn’t help much. Ulster needed to find another way to save their country.

In one of the calamitous war, Devora’s father and youngest brother were one of the fallen soldiers. Devora herself was brought extremely close to death, but managed to be rescued. After 3 months in coma, Devora finally regained her consciousness. She was desperately in grief that she almost wanted to kill herself. Thankfully, she managed to keep herself together. Devora realized that this war were never on the human’s side. No matter what, human would never able to win against something that was not the same size as them.

Devora spent years after that to strengthen herself while looking for ways to be more than just ‘human’. She had already learnt basic healing spell from an old mage and she wanted to improve it. One day… (how this history continues will depend on the king of magic’s history)

ABILITIES
★ Fission ★
When her sub crest activated, Devora can split herself into demon and angel. Both forms strengthen Devora's normal body and sense up to 5 times.
The demon form possesses dark manipulation (mostly for attack), while the angel form possesses light manipulation (mostly for defend and support). Their element manipulation will get stronger as they are physically closer. As a downside, they will also be weaker when apart from each other.
★ Adept Swordsmanship ★
Devora was trained since she was only 7. She was strict with her training which made her one of the best guards in Ulster.
Devora and her sword are perfectly in sync.
★ Light Healing ★
Devora used to learn some healing spells from old mage that she encountered. However, Devora can only deal 20% amount of healing for each spell since she is not a magic-user. It can't save her life nor allies from major injuries, but it's definitely a useful aid in battle.

EQUIPMENT
★ Arzeal ★
Arzeal was once owned by Devora's father, a Damascus sword tempered carefully by the hands of a legendary blacksmith. Some said it even took years to craft such an impeccable sword. After his passing, Arzeal was kept by his best friend to be inherited to Devora when she was strong and mature enough.
Even though Arzeal is already aged, it never lost its capability. It just needs the right partner and a good sharpening.
★ Armor ★
Devora wears leather armor to provide her with protection and agility. It is crafted from high-quality leather to ensure its strength and durability.

WEAKNESSES
★ Normal Human Strength ★
When Devora is not in the Fission state, she has a tiny chance to win against non-human enemies. Devora isn't bestowed with magical power nor inhuman strength aside from the sub crest power.
★ Fission's Drawback ★
Activating Fission eats up a lot of energy which most of the time will make Devora pass out because of exhaustion. The duration of Fission itself is various based on Devora's condition. She was once able to maintain Fission state to 6 hours straight even though after that, she was unconscious for 2 weeks.

Social

Known to much of the community as a kind and charitable woman who looks after most in her community. While a member of the nobility, Amandara has never looked down on people based on their caste - which is a stark contrast to the majority of nobility. To her, the evils of this world exist because people choose to act on the evils in their hearts. Often calm and collected, Amandara's cool never seems to waver.

While this good and fair side exists there is a deeper, darker layer to Amandara, one that is sparked by cruelty and blatant disregard for humanity. Unfortunately, this side of Amandara is fueled by rage and this can be a dangerous thing.


Backstory

Born to a noble family in a major city in Martya, Amandara was born into a caste system - which means she must associate with people of the same caste, not below. Seen as a black sheep of the family, Amandara was always in places she shouldn't be and was never where she should be. She had an adventurous heart and kind soul - often saving and giving meals to those who had nothing.

Of course, she was reprimanded for such unbecoming behavior. Life of the household is determined by the patriarchy, which made Amandara's rebellious nature even more frowned upon. As she got older though, the punishments were getting harsher and this forced the noblewoman to conform to the rules and expectations of society.

Her mother was blessed with the crest of the Flame Monarch, which her brother was expected to inherit based on his rights as the family's next heir; she denied him the power he sought and instead passed it on to Amandara when she turned sixteen.

Enraged by this grievous insult, her father had her mother jailed and Amandara was next - after the crest was transferred from her to her older brother - Ishwar. Assisted by one of her mother's closest friends, Amandara was taken away from the closing grip of Ishwar and her father. They fled the city, heading to the eastern region to escape detection.

Taught by her mentor and protector until his passing when she was twenty, the former-noblewoman chose to travel the world and right the injustice and extinguish the evils of this world and right the wrongs done to others. When she was twenty-eight years old, Amandara found a young man barely clinging to life due to the Dragon Disease. She stabilized him by absorbing the heat from within his body, though it granted a momentary reprieval. She gifted him the Flames of Rebirth and saved his life, now he has become her second guardian of sorts - perhaps a sort of repayment?


Abilities


Rageheart: A powerful ability that utilizes the pent-up rage of Amandara to fuel the fires in her heart - and the powerful flames that stem from her person. A sort of transformation, this is usually triggered by intense emotion and rarely happens. When it does, she becomes one with flames and an unstoppable force which does not distinguish between friend or foe.

Eternal Flame: A white-hot flame that burns brightly and fiercely. It cannot be extinguished until Rageheart ends; as a consequence, it burns everything and using this flame can be detrimental to Amandara's physical well-being.

Ring of Fire: A rune is drawn in the ground and when crossed, flames are spurred forth to trap foes and give them no route of escape. The ring's size can be adjusted at will once the flames are sparked.

Fire Rune: Another rune is drawn in the air and hurled towards a surface and when the rune is touched an explosion occurs.

Heat Sink: The ability to absorb the energy of a present flame into her body. While it does not harm her physically, the ability is taxing to her emotionally and mentally. If too much fire is absorbed it could cause her to spin out of control and start a rampage.

Flame Imbue: Enchanting fire into things that are in physical contact with her - mostly used for weapons in her possession.


Weaknesses

Despite her calm and collected stature, Amandara can easily crumble under pressure if the right stimuli are present such as Heat Sink with emotional distress.

She has a fear of drowning - which stems from the torture she underwent by the orders of her father to 'convince' her to pass on the crest. Though the fear is not disruptive to her life, she often has a reoccurring nightmare that spikes her emotional stress levels - it can be taken as a hint that she's reached her limit.

While Rageheart is active, she is unable to be reasoned with and will harm both friend and foe - this makes her very dangerous if she ever loses her calm.

A kind soul, Amandara often is too trusting of people despite the betrayal from her family - some might say that this betrayal is what made her so trusting of others as she may be looking to replace the family she lost.


Equipment


Barely armored and reliant heavily on the magic gifted by the Crest, Amandara utilizes a simple whip to keep enemies at bay. Combined with the ability to imbue fire, this weapon becomes an easy fire-starter.

A simple satchel slung across her body that likely contains rations, waterskin, and a smaller pouch of coins - it seems she lives a very minimalistic life style.

Development


Maybe have a couple of mental meltdowns, force players to confront her Rageheart - would have to be triggered by high emotional state or strong stress such as Heat Sink.

Could have her confront her father, brother, or both...or perhaps she is finally found and taken into custody.

More will come during the course of RP...maybe!

The once homeless and orphaned child was taken in to live under the emperor's wing, divined to be carrying the powers of King Solomon himself. As fate would have it again, the great King of Magic was incapable of doing anything other than cancelling magic. An ironic ability most befitting the jokester of a Regulus that is Neferet. Personality: Sicarius is shaped a lot by what he had to endure in his early life. Being regarded as a disgrace to ancestral bloodline humbled him. He actually harbors no ill will towards his bloodline. Thought he may have wished upon a time he could use the dragon slayer attribute, he understands it was a necessary loss in order to bear his crest.

Sicarius has a dragon’s pride is who he is as the Dragon Emperor. He accepts his berth as a Regulus and dreams of uniting the world under his rule. Sicarius is strong willed and resilient having spent a good portion of his life amongst dragon kind. He has a burning passion and burning soul that yearns for achievement. Sicarius knows that in order to reach his full potential his subordinates must reach theirs.
History: Sicarius is lineage of the legendary dragon slayer St George, dragon slaying runs in the family. Sicarius was originally meant to inherit St George’s lance Ascalon but found early on in his life he cannot wield dragon slaying weapons. Dragon related beings such as Dragoons can wield dragon slayer weapons even if they are vulnerable to the dragon slayer attribute. This wasn’t Sicarius’ situation, when he tried to wield any object containing the dragon slayer attribute or use any dragon slayer abilities his soul basically rejected it. It wasn’t until they resorted to trying to force him to wield Ascalon did his Regulus crest awaken. The Dragon Emperor’s Crest made Sicarius unable to use anything with dragon slayer attribute. There were many who looked upon Sicarius as a disgrace to his bloodline. Ascalon would instead go to his younger sibling and Sicarius would be set aside from being the successor to St George bloodline. Sicarius was basically disowned because he had the unfortunate luck of being born with Dragon Emperor’s Crest in a bloodline of Dragon Slayers.

Sicarius left his home in Pax after this happened, with nothing left Sicarius decided to explore his crest. He would travel across the 8 continents learning not just about his power but about what is to be a Regulus. He traveled and learned amongst dragon kind. Sicarius was even contacted by legendary dragons on each continent he traveled to, they all had an interest in the Dragon Emperor’s Crest. The more Sicarius knew and the more he learned, the more he started to take pride in being the Dragon Emperor and a Regulus. He may have been shunned from inheriting St George’s legacy but now he had one of his own to make.

Personality:
Despite all appearances, Apollyon is not a simple-minded brute. Stoic and cold, underneath the barbaric exterior lies the mind of a ruthless and calculating tactician, as tempered as a master forged blade, made for war. Nonetheless, a habit of sadism and cruelty is well hidden under a personality bold, and displaying of a certain grandeur. Versed in the philosophies of war, and it's association with life, Apollyon sees every aspect of existence as a battlefield, and welcomes conflict, as he is always certain that either he will only grow in power, or expand his knowledge. Furthermore is Apollyon's delight in pain, not only upon others, but himself. Battle scars and ritualistic scarring adorns his body out of such enjoyment, carving a belief of the superiority of those that endure agony, physical and metaphorical. There is little room for love and mercy in such a cold heart.

History:

There have only been rumors of Apollyon's early life, though one rumor has held true, confirmed by the man himself; The man's name was not always Pallas Apollyon, although his birth name remains a mystery. It has been hinted at, however, that Apollyon actually originated from Nord, immigrating into Ulster with family, as only a child. It is also rumored that Apollyon has Jotunn blood in his veins, due to his unusually pale hue and massive size [Apollyon stands around 230 cm, and weighs approximately 38 stone]. What is certain beyond a doubt is the existence of a mere soldier turned captain under the name of Pallas Apollyon under the command of a former Lord residing in Ulster, an intelligent and conniving man known as Arawn Balor, seating his reign in a far northern territory known as The Morgue.
Throughout the years, Apollyon had shown great prowess in combat, and a knack for learning the art of war. With a talent for violence, he had climbed the ranks of his Lord's army as a champion, until the day he had met Arawn Balor himself. Balor had offered Apollyon a place at his side as not only commander of his army, but as executioner as well, as a symbol of Arawn's might. Balor had decided to educate Apollyon in the finer matters of war, allowing the commander's knowledge to reach new heights of expertise. Apollyon had laid waste to various other seats numerous times, and became greatly feared by other Lords and the leaders of Barbarian tribes. It had inevitably occured that someone attempted to do something about it.
Apollyon was eventually framed for having hired an assassin who [purposefully] failed to kill Lord Balor, though Lord Balor, instead of having Apollyon hanged, merely sent an assassin of his own to kill Apollyon. However, the assassin not only failed to do so, but was tortured personally by Apollyon to give out his Lord's name. It was not long after when Apollyon stormed his lordship's castle with a small amount of loyal men, and though they were few, the easily slaughtered the Lord's guards. It is said that Apollyon and his men tormented Balor for most the night with the burning heads of the guards on pikes, and physically tortured him in every available and conceivable way before Apollyon took Balor's head for himself, fashioning a crown out of his skull and painting his face with Balor's blood, crowning himself in the morning light for all to see. It was then that first forged a new Lord in Ulster, one who would terrorize the northern realm of Ulster for years.

In the years afterwards, Apollyon had grown less open with his sadistic tendencies, seemingly more gentle, though his was merely to further highlight the brutal actions he was capable of. It seemed to him that spacing out such deeds and giving off a sense of more nobility increased the terror provided by these horrendous and monstrous moments. Fear was his greatest weapon, and he wielded it well.

Equipment:
execution sword.jpg A massive sword with a pendulum shaped tip, such a seemingly unwieldy looking sword was designed to hack through even the most well crafted and thickly forged armor. It would seem only a giant of a man with a giants strength could wield such a thing. Particularly adept at beheading, even with the very tip.

A master of war creates his own tools of battle, and uses them to further his agenda. Apollyon shaped this blade to his own strengths. The length of the sword itself and his own lengthy arms offers a devastating range, and it's weight allows it the force of a mighty axe to slam through most physical defenses.

What can any poor soul do against such overwhelming force?

Little more than a rimmed, thick metal door of a shield, tall and heavy as it's counterpart. It's design makes good use of ramming into opponents like a bull, and it's height allows it to be used effectively while resting on the ground. Thick as it is, it would be awfully difficult to pierce through.

When war is waged, safety is practical, and when used correctly, such a defensive device can be used with equal offence.


Weaknesses:

~ Apollyon is very much limited in terms of range, being a master of melee only. If one has a way past his defenses, he is unlikely to stand against ranged attacks.
~ With heavy armor and equipment, Apollyon is capable of naught much more than
short bursts of speed before needing a moment to rest in order to replenish his stamina.
~ Apollyon has little talent in the field of diplomacy.
~ Apollyon has a tendency to be confident to a fault, occasionally. It is not out of
character for him to underestimate an opponent.
