The Scythe Riders, one of the largest and most dangerous biker gangs in the world. While the public at large sees them as only barbaric criminal psychopaths, the Riders hold a much darker secret. You see the Scythe Riders are not your run of the mill motorcycle riding ruffians, this biker gang consists of mostly terrifying supernatural creatures including vampires, werewolves, warlocks, shapeshifters, Wendigos etc...How did a bunch creatures of the night, who by all rights, should be unrelenting enemies...unify under a single banner and take the guise of a modern day biker gang?
Their history actually goes all the way back more than five hundred years in the past. In the year 1505, the world almost succumbed to a supernatural apocalypse known as The Reckoning. The original demons of hell who went by the name, The Nephilim, were summoned and let loose upon the world. In desperation, a secret order of priests and holy men within the Catholic church who called themselves The Ordainis, came up with a radical plan to repel the legions of Hell. In order to fight evil, they reasoned they must use evil. They managed to round up every ghoul, monster and supernatural creature they could find, convince them to fight against The Nephilim and somehow save the Earth from Armageddon. In the primordial past, The Nephilim decided to defile Almighty God by mating with the daughters of men to create monstrous abominations which would later become the various vampires, werewolves and other nightmares that would roam the planet in eons to follow. The task to unite these unholy renditions and get them to fight on the side of humanity seemed nearly impossible, until the creatures realized that they too would fall under the Nephilim's terrible hand. The Nephilim's plan was to purge the world of all life, including their illegitimate offspring from their time of mating with humans. The werewolves, vampires and other supernatural creatures were seen as embarrassments to the Nephilim and in their eyes, were just as deserving as man to be utterly destroyed. In reluctance, all the monsters agreed to unite and fight alongside mankind against their Nephilim forefathers. Led by The Ordainis, and against all odds, The Nephilim were turned back and the Apocalypse was averted. Fearing that doomsday had only been postponed, the supernatural creatures decided to stay loosely unified in one massive world wide coalition, in case The Nephilim ever returned. The Ordainis took it upon themselves to try and keep the peace between all these creatures and throughout the centuries have remarkably succeeded to a certain extent. However down through the decades, the influence of the Ordainis waned until they mysteriously disappeared altogether, yet the remnants of that first unified force five hundred years ago has survived, eventually morphing into a modern day biker gang. The Scythe Riders have essentially completely forgotten their sordid history, but their extremely diverse coterie of members remains. In fighting, subsect cliques and criminal enterprises of all kinds have left the Riders a disjointed and dis unified rabble who are just as likely to attack each other as they are any outsiders. In place of the long forgotten Ordainis, The Scythe Riders are now governed by a board of directors who are known as the Council of Road Captains or the C.R.C. which consist of different members from each chapter of the Scythe Riders throughout the world.
But out of the shadows, The Nephilim wait to once again rise up. A new criminal syndicate has seemingly exploded onto the scene from out of nowhere. The Medici Crime Family, led by the mysterious figure Raphael Medici, has taken the mafia underworld by storm, violently wiping out all opposition. In doing so, they have amassed a vast amount of wealth, resources and foot soldiers. They have risen to such a peak of prominence that they can rival many countries in the spheres of influence and power. Inexplicably, The Medici Crime Family has now zeroed in on The Scythe Riders and plans to engage in a turf war of Biblical proportions. Who is this mysterious Mafia crime family, where did they come from and why do they seem to possess otherworldly powers that rival those of the Riders?
