“Wake up, Link.”

It was a feminine voice, tired and mysterious. There was no response. The hero of Hyrule was gone, he’d vanished without a trace.

“Lady Impa,” the words were barely audible, a Sheikah coming to kneel down in front of the older lady respectfully. She was sitting on her pillow, a throne fit for a queen. It must be comfortable. She stayed there for hours on end contemplating and plotting. “Atara, what brings you here?”There was a shift in the atmosphere as if something wasn’t right.

“The shrine of resurrection.. I did as you requested.” A pause, “and?” The youngest clenched her fists, glancing to the side, “the hero.. he’s.. gone.” It wasn’t her fault, yet she still felt as if she was disappointing her. She wanted to come back with good news. This was far from good news.

“I see..” the elders voice sounded distant, finally emerald orbs swept up to meet deep brown ones. “Get up, child.” Atara had almost forgotten she was kneeling, she made a habit of it. In one swift movement she was standing, a look of pure embarrassment on her face.

“Please, heroes, you must save Hyrule. The hero of time, Link, is gone. Hyrule needs you.”

It was vague. After she had received the message she had came straight to Impa. That was why she was ordered to go to the shrine, they had to make sure. He had really disappeared without any warning, there was no direct lead to where he had went either; if he was still alive.

“It seems it would be best if you sought out the others.”Impa’s words carried a sense of authority with them, even if that wasn’t the intent. Atara gave a brisk nod, “and when I find them?” She would find them, there was no doubt about it. “When you find them, save Hyrule.”

Booted feet trodded on the dirt of Sahasra slope, unsure of where to start her journey. Looking for a group of people who had heard the same voice as her, in all of Hyrule? It didn’t sound like a quick task when time was of the essence. She could only trust Impa knew what was best.

Crossing her arms she stared into the distance, ceasing her pacing. She would have to stay levelheaded with such a big task and so much at stake. This quest was important. They could lose Hyrule, for good.

The quiet sounds of Bokoblins in the distance met her ears, they sounded happy. Were they rejoicing Links defeat? Was it possible they knew in those dense brains of theirs? They could have sensed the shift in the air the same as anyone else, she presumed.

The Sheikah’s mind was busy, too busy to notice her own shift. The sound of a weapon swinging and the triumphant noise it made were what drew her out of her thoughts. Just in time to turn around and parry the attack, sword in hand. The bokoblin made a sound of irritation, obviously having thought it had the upper hand.

Another swing, with the other clawed hand, that her busy mind didn’t have time to process, sent her sword flying. With that, the creature swung his weapon one more time. This time Atara simply backed out of the way, surprise clear on her face. What surprised and distracted her more was the muffled scream she heard from a person in the direction of Kakariko. Shit, she didn’t have time for this.

She was an excellent fighter, one of the best in Kakariko. Just not when she got in her thoughts like this, not now. Another step back sent her clumsily falling backwards, eyes widening and a gasp escaping her lips. Without warning strong arms wrapped around her torso, catching her in place. A red hue spread across her cheeks, uncertain of who her savior was,
“oh.”

The scream heard a distance away would be followed by the sound of explosions and crumbling buildings as a group of 5 larger than normal guardains moved into the city and started to unleash their lasers. It was rather easy to miss the masked figure floating crossed legged as if she was laying back hovering over the guardains heads. The giatdains aside from being much larger, almost building sized, also didn't seem to have the purple red energy of malice in their views. Instead it was purple and bright yellow.

Impa would know the figure floating over the guardians after all this had been the thing she had almost tried to fight upon seeing it. Still she had held back perhaps that had been a mistake as panic over took the village.

Majora saw what she was doing as a prank that old woman had called her a monster, an abomination and now majora was showing her real monsters. The guardains had not been scary enough for majora she had made them bigger. Majora didn't see anything wrong with this she had been insulted so now she was paying the person back. Majora was no monster. At least not anymore she was a hero so she should not be insulted.

The guardains below her fired their lasers and lashed out with their arms, yet one might notice they never targeted people. The guardians went after things and buildings not even seeming to notice easy targets. That was the heart of the prank to majora she wasn't going to hurt others, that was when a prank stopped being funny. She had gone to far with pranks before and had paid for it.

Despite looking laid back as she floated majora was paying attention to the destruction her guardains were causing. Villagers did try to hide in buildings abd Majora in her kindness protected them even if they were being dumb, with her magic. So as villagers saw rubble falling over them it would vanish just above their heads often turning into something harmless.

Still watching the chaos even if it was making her work to keep it safe Majora couldn't help but laugh. The mask on her face wiggling with her laughter as if it too was laughing independent of tge one that wore it. Hopefully no one would ruin her fun and she could go back to her work as the hero.

Aisha sighed. The torrential rains of the Zora lands were starting to cause problems even further south. While at first the rain driving the game south had meant she was well positioned to make this trip a lucrative one, it started to drive more than just game away, never mind the weather blowing down from the south. While the Twili didn’t mind the cold, the wet was positively intolerable, and she hadn’t planned for this sort of weather. Releasing the slight tension on her bow, Aisha sighed, making her way back to the small cave north of the Kakariko village that she’d been using as a temporary home.

There had been enough hunting that Aisha would still make a pretty pile of rupees, selling the meat and firs, although at least some of that would have to go into re-stringing her bow, and probably finding a rain proof cloak. A few monsters had appeared but a few tricks and wel placed arrows put them down. Of course, that had hardly been the greatest bit of excitement on the trip.

“Please, heroes, you must save Hyrule. The hero of time, Link, is gone. Hyrule needs you.”

The message bounced around Aisha’s head as she packed her gear and supplies. Strange voices in her head were not a good sign for Aisha’s stability. She’d kept her fingers out of any of the really weird magic, but it seemed that might not have mattered. Then again ,the voices she was hearing weren’t that smart, if they were trying to claim she was some kind of Hero, or that Hyrule needed her. Heroes were a Hylian thing, and Hyrule tended to make it very clear that Twili were not exactly a welcome bunch.

The last of her supplies gathered, Aisha checked her bow, and sighed. The trek back to south-ish Kakariko would be a long one, but hopefully should be trouble free. At least, it would keep her from having to wear a different skin for a while longer. But, as Aisha pulled herself up the first cliff, and squinted at the horizon, it sure seemed like there was more smoke rising from the village than normal.

🗡 Bemere
『 TAGGED 』 N/A

Another fruitless search for Bemere as she exited the forest surrounding Kakariko. It's been nearly 48 hours since Deti went missing and the forest held no more clues for her to follow. She was most certainly sure the Yiga were responsible, she held the bunch of mighty bananas she found within one of her hands as she walked. A sigh escaped her lips as she headed down the slope into the village.

Kakariko always been one of her favorite places to visit. The peacefulness they community shared reminded her of Lurelin - her chest ached whenever she thought of home. The people here were helpful and often fairly easy to barter with, something that's hard to come by now-a-days. The wind whistled as it shot by her, a smile on her face as she walked more in town towards her small set up.

Her pop-up shop sat next to the general store, usually calling out to the people either entering or exiting. She sold wares from the east side of Hyrule for a fair price compared to other merchants and even some stores. She's been doing this for years now, the familiarity of it all dulling the excitement of most sales these days.

She reached her shop some time later, going through her inventory in order to quell the worry within her. Deti has never gone missing in all their time together, she had no clue what to do in a situation like this. She bit her lip as she finished going through everything, surely someone in the village ought to know something? They knew Deti and her pretty well since this is a big-time stop for them whenever they were west side. Perhaps the general store owner heard something, so she decided to exit her stall and head over.

Just as she was about to enter the shop, a voice sounded in her head. It stopped her movement as she listened to it, bemusement gracing her features.

“Please, heroes, you must save Hyrule. The hero of time, Link, is gone. Hyrule needs you.”

What could that mean? Hyrule needs her? Surely, the stress was getting to her and making her hear things. She shook her head, moving her hand to open the door -

BOOM!

An explosion sounded off somewhere in the village. Bemere jumped, her ears ringing from the loudness of it all. She grabbed the hilt of her sledgehammer, looking around the village. Guardians were wrecking havoc, shooting their beams everywhere. Bemere swallowed in fear, she had never seen Guardians act like this. Though, she barely had any experience dealing with them in general, they never attacked a city so freely as long as she's been traveling.

Screams erupted around her as the villagers ran to find safety. She opened the door for several people to run into the general store, following them before slamming the door shut. She could hear the lasers, screams, and the movement of the Guardians as they destroyed the town. Sweat gathered on her forehead as she tried to make sense of the situation, think of a way to escape while protecting the people in the store. She looked behind her, there were at least three other people in here with her, all cooped up on the back wall behind the counter.

She prayed to the Goddesses that this shop and the village people hiding elsewhere would be protected against the Guardians. She couldn't find the giant beings, even if she was some sort of hero. The best she could do is hit their leg trying to trip them, only to also be crushed by them immediately after. So until then, she hid in the shop waiting for sounds of fighting or anything else to come from the outside.

This just proves that she was no hero and that the voice she heard in her head was the early tells that she was going mental.

The village he'd stumbled into was truly a marvel in the eyes of the Zonai boy who'd wandered there about a day ago. Adagio had spent his time exploring it and conversing with the people of Kakariko. It certainly wasn't too large but compared to the little community he had come from it was like going from a small town to the big city. He'd become enthralled with this "big city" and had traded a good number of the necessities he had on him for pointless trinkets and souvenirs that now rattled around his bag. The bag itself was another acquisition from the village, with the symbol of the Sheikah sewn into it and the material of a much higher quality than the drawstring bag he'd brought from home.
Today he found himself walking through the market, looking at the strange items and unfamiliar foods. He found himself admiring the pumkins at a vegetable stand, the shopkeep leaning back away from his masked face. It was a common occurrence among the people of the village but he took no offense from it, as he opened his mouth to converse with the merchant he heard a voice in his head.

“Please, heroes, you must save Hyrule. The hero of time, Link, is gone. Hyrule needs you.”

It was a strange magic, to be able to project her voice into his head. He had a certain familiarity with magic but nothing like this, still he could tell by the woman's voice that she wasn't an enemy. Still he couldn't help but tilt his head, unsure of how to accomplish such a task or even what she meant for the most part. Clearly this Link fellow was important but he was a bit behind on the history of the last century or more.

Just as he was wondering how exactly he was meant to do anything an explosion took out the stall he was shopping at. They were unharmed but the shopkeep found himself covered in pumpkin guts. It would be comical were the danger of the situation not evident. Quickly climbing up the nearest building, Adagio scouted out his surroundings and spotted the large metal beasts that threatened the town. They were unlike anything he'd seen before and his curiosity was instantly piqued. He couldn't help but let an "Oooooh" escape his lips as he crouched and leapt from the top of the building onto the head of the guardian. It's surface was smooth and he nearly slipped off but gripped it's adornments and crouched atop it. "Now what are you big fellow?" In the event he wasn't able to control the beast he was prepared to grab the spear off his back, even if he was unsure of it's ability to pierce it's hide.

The day had been ordinary. As ordinary as any day could be since the earthquake and Medoh taking flight. He'd spent the night in Hateno where he'd sold some burn salve and bought some more of the red dye his grandmother liked to use on her feathers as a gift.

He'd asked her why she liked to dye her feathers once. She'd told him "Life is too short to let it be boring and ordinary." She was a wonderful woman. She never cared if others found her a little odd or kooky. She was great at what she did and always encouraged him to pursue whatever felt right to him.

Whenever he took that advice, whenever he sang, everything really did feel right. Like as long as he was immersed in music, he felt like freshly preened feathers, perfectly aligned for aerodynamics and flight, or like an arrow sailing through the air and hitting its target dead on.

Being a Rito and having years of singing under his belt, Trill had impressively strong lungs and vocal chords. While he travelled, he tended to fly up high and sing at the top of his voice to the open sky as he cut through it. He could swear that as long as he was singing, the air currents and wind were always perfectly in his favor. He swayed and rocked in the air, wings hardly having to beat, and always on beat when they did.

Trill was rarely distracted by his own singing. He knew to stay alert and always pay attention to his surroundings and the ground down below, especially when his singing could draw attention. However high up you were, one couldn't count on being unreachable in the sky. Monsters had bows, and guardians had beams. If the arrow or beam didn't kill you, the fall would. It was a terrible fate.

So he didn't miss that the smoke over the mountains that hid Kakariko in the distance was getting too thick to excuse as a cooking or camp fire. He didn't miss the stray beam that streaked out across the sky.

His voice stopped. A cold shiver ran down his feathers. His heart stuttered in his chest and he dropped a few feet as his proper flying posture faltered and he lost the wind under his wings.

A guardian encounter was always nerve wracking and stressful, but one actively attacking a settlement? It was almost unheard of. They usually patrolled and defended small arbitrary territories. Ones he learned to avoid. He rarely set feather in Central Hyrule, preferring to fly around it to avoid the stress.

He couldn't fathom how or why a guardian would be in Kakariko. Maybe somebody had strayed too far south from Sahasra Slope and then retreated back to the village? He barely registered the voice he heard in his head in his panicking.

He shook himself out of it. Wondering wouldn't help. He was honestly terrified, but his grandmother didn't teach him to sit by and let others suffer. He dove, taking a downward trajectory for speed and to avoid coming into a guardian's sights. He didn't sing, but music could always be found. It was in his pounding heart. In the wind whistling through his feathers. His wing beats.

The village was still miles away, but he was closing in fast. Soon enough he was close enough to see the village and the horrible sight of its carnage. Not just one, but five, five HUGE guardians were rampaging across the village. They were bigger than he'd ever seen. His ears were ringing as he touched down on the edge of the cliff overlooking the village to the south.

What could he do? What on earth could he do? All he had were some ordinary arrows. He'd heard rumors that if you managed to strike a guardian directly in the eye, they would be stunned for a time, but what difference would that make when there were five of them? There had to be something. Something he could do.

He heard something. Laughter. Unsettling laughter. It drew his gaze upward to a figure flying- no, hovering- above the village. This- this scared him. More than the guardians. And he didn't understand exactly how or why. They looked Hylian in shape, but Hylians did not fly. And Hylians did not have huge glowing orange eyes. He knew somehow that this creature was responsible.

He drew his bow, nocked an arrow, and with a whistle, sent it flying. He was often sceptical about whether or not he genuinely had any magic, but in that instant, even if he still had doubts, he poured his desperate determination into that single note.

The ordinary arrow flew straight and fast. Directly at one of the eyes of the creature over the town.

Majora had been having fun despite the extra work she gave herself. To watch a pank go so well, seeing the people flee and scream, it made her want to do more. She wanted to scare them more to ramp thing up and get more extreme. The thoughts could lead her to hurting people after all pain was a corner stone of comedy. Still she managed to hold to keep working to make sure others weren't actully hurt. She had to make sure she didn't go to far even if it might be funny.

Majora noticed one person wasn't playing along, he wasn't running. That was annoying he should be scared, not climbing on her toys. Majora felt her anger flare up as she things didn't go her way.

What really made Majora's anger explode was when an arrow hit her and whole she couldn't be hurt as she was a mask it was still an attack. Majora was the hero and no one but bad guys shod attack the hero and there shouldn't be bad guys here. So who had dared to too attack her the hero? Looking about she found the attacker a rito. Those weren't in termina they were new to her yet she knew them.

Majora turned going from laying back in the air to standing her mask eyes glowing their light visible even in the daylight. She was pissed that she had Been attacked even if she was not hurt. A thousand ways to hurt the bird man flashed through her mind, but In a show of ultimate restraint she didn't reach out to curse or smite the bird man.

Majora decided to leave the boy climbing tge guardains to the guardains allowing the to try to slap or laser the boy. Majora didn't care if he got hurt at this moment and with her control slipping the guardains didn't keep destroying just focusing on the tan boy. Majora herself decended fir the sky arms crossed her unable to show emotion through expressions she instead made things seem darker as of the sun dimmed in a small area. She landed in front of but a distance from the bird man.

"Who are you to attack Majora?" She asked anger apprent in her voice " Were Majora not the hero Majora would make you into a bird" she continued transforming yhe rito and caging him had been appealing but she held back. " Majora is kind so Majora will let you have a chance to do right and run and scream at Majora's prank" she finished almost smugly as she gestured to the guardains.

Trill was feeling instant regret. He gulped and his feathers puffed out as he took a big step back.

Up close, he could see that the person did seem to be human. They simply wore a mask. A mask that felt incredibly wrong and highly intimidating with its huge eyes on him. It triggered a primal fear in him- a desire to fly straight home, miles away, and hide under his grandmother's wings, lest he be eaten on the spot.

And yet… what the person(?) said, sparked sharp indignation. "Prank?" he squawked. "A prank!?" His feathers remained puffed, but more so in incredulous fury than an instinctual attempt to look bigger. "This-" he swept a wing across the village below, at the destruction and the terrified villagers. "Is not a prank!! Pranks are harmless! This isn't pranking, it's terrorizing! And what kind of so-called hero-" he spat the word "-terrorizes a village full of innocent people!?"

This was likely a horrible mistake, but Rito were proud people. Most of them. When it counted. Trill held his ground, head held high and chest puffed out. If his hands were shaking, he hid it by tightly holding his bow, and apologizing mentally to his family for his impending tragic and stupid death.

It had been a long time since she had last seen Kakariko Village, and truly she had come to talk to Lady Impa once again, but instead had found her feet taking her up the winding path up the mountain. Passing the cheerful villagers going about their daily lives, a few pausing to stare at the strangely dressed Hylian walking through the village in almost a blissful trance. A tranquil look on her soft features as she kept her head forward and eyes upward toward the mountain. Some children trailed behind her gleefully trying to get her attention with curious questions until she neared the exit of the village that led to the mountain pass.

In a line, they waited at the edge of the village, watching her slip into the shady tree-filled path. The faint sound of chimes reaching their ears with the calm breeze, sunbeams shining through the leaves just so to look like wings before they disappeared. The giddiness of the sight within them all as they shared a look of glee before running back to the village to talk about what they had seen.

Though Saeha's quiet footsteps barely made a sound the deeper she went, the scent of blue nightshade in the air when finally she could see the soft pink glow.

Fairies.

Her golden eyes shifted to the water and the ramp of luminescent mushrooms leading to the closed bulb of a very large flower. She walked up the springy ramp and placed her hand on the closed petals as memories flashed before her eyes.

A blonde woman dressed in extravagant, iridescently yellow scales, talking within a shimmering pool. The name Cotera and the whisper of greatness tickled her ears. The thriving flowers beloved by a certain princess sprinkled about. Cotera weaved two of them in their hair with a kiss on each of the petals so they may never die while atop their head.

And then nothing but silence.

The faint sounds of the fairies murmuring and fluttering around the once great fountain chittering to themselves about how lonely it had been without their great fairy. No one came up there with a tithe anymore. People had forgotten the service they had given once again and left them to sleep in the pools that fed and purified the land around them. Tears slowly fell from her eyes as she retracted her hand from the bulb, placing them together to pray.

For forgiveness at not being there sooner to ease the loneliness she no doubt had been suffering since being forgotten, and to ask for her to hold on just a little longer so she could bring the tithe to free her once again.

“Please, heroes, you must save Hyrule. The hero of time, Link, is gone. Hyrule needs you.”

Saeha's eyes snapped open, her hands falling to her sides as she looked up at the sky. The familiar voice that had spoken leaving images of a duo in the distance from her. Both with hair much like her own, but their eyes brilliant shades of blue. Her body turning to face the northwest, the need to run toward that direction almost enough to urge her legs to move, but the shake of the ground beneath her feet and the screams of nearby villagers plagued her ears.

The pink fairies flew up into the sky and disappeared out of fear-

But the golden fairy whose wings lit up the dark shade beneath the trees flew toward the mayhem with a shimmering sword appearing in her hand. The scent of magic tainted the wind as she dove off the path and down the open air toward the village's center. Seeing the activated guardians attacking a strange boy, but not teaming with the vile plague within them and a masked figure arguing with a Rito archer, she chose to focus on the boy being mobbed by guardians.

Her wings disappeared as she used the momentum of her fall to spear her sword into the eye of one guardian, her sword glowing like a comet as she sliced through the illusion and landed on the ground. With graceful steps, she ran to the fray for the tanned boy, putting herself in between him and the offending guardian illusions.

"Are you harmed?" Saeha asked, not taking her eyes off the guardians before her as she countered the lasers directed at both him and her. A much less effective means to fight them, as the lasers lost most of their power after being reflected from her sword.

He was dreaming again.

He found himself standing in the Gerudo desert, the breeze carrying a biting chill as it moved around him with ease, shifting the sands with invisible fingers ever forwards. The sky was cloudless, yet empty of any star, the black emptiness a contrast to the shimmering ground below. Bare of any signs of civilizations or animals, Keenan was alone with only his heartbeat ringing in his ears.

He grabbed for his katana, only to find his scabbard empty. He tensed, the all too familiar feeling of dread twisting his stomach. He stepped a few feet forwards, realizing he was also barefoot. He needed to run, somewhere, anywhere before the—

Suddenly the ground began to shake violently, causing Keenan to hit the ground. He gasped, attempting to get his bearings until he heard a ear piercing roar that shook the very heavens. In the distance there was now a gigantic *thing* heading towards him in record speed. Eyeless and looking like some deformed worm, its scales were almost pitch black except for the purple lightning running through them. The monster’s partially opened maw flashed with sharp teeth easily the size of a horse, seemingly formed into a macabre attempt at a smile.

Run. His body was screaming for him to move but it took too many seconds for him to find his footing again, and by then the monster was only yards away from him. Nonetheless Keenan forced himself to turn around and move. He could feel the beast’s breath hitting his back now, about to swallow him whole before he managed to roll out of the way at the very last second.

His victory was short lived however. He had barely begun to run again when a black hole appeared directly below him, pulling his body down into a black sea before a scream could leave his lips. He couldn’t breathe or move, the taste of ichor and flames gripped his throat.

The scene changed, and now Keenan found himself this time standing in a field. In front of him stood the tall, shimmering outline of a man, a long glowing sword attached to his hip. While he couldn’t see the man’s features, Keenan sensed the man was grinning.

Ghostly white chains erupted out of the ground, snaking towards both of them. The shadow bellowed as he pulled out his weapon in a fit of anger to repel the chains.

“Hey, hey kid wake up.” A voice called out.

A golden light appeared, overtaking the dream world in an instant, and with it, the encroaching darkness…

There was a brief moment of silence before the voice spoke again. “Kid, please tell me you aren’t d—”

Keenan opened his eyes, the world slowly coming back into focus as the stable worker sighed in relief. The ex-Yiga was lying down in one of the straw beds, the older man sitting on a chair at his side. That’s right, he had stopped to rest at the Wetland Stable a few days ago. Brown eyes full of concern, the other man said, “Thank the goddess, the sleeping prince finally awakens.” He handed Keenan a cup, the boy taking it gratefully as he brought the cold water to his lips.

“Thanks.” Keenan said after taking a few hearty swallows. Seeing the sweat coating his arms, he then added, “Was I…?”

The stable hand shook his head. “Obviously having a nightmare? Yep. You kept rolling around in your sleep, talking nonsense and whimpering as if you were being chased by something. It worried my other customers so much they barely got any sleep themselves.” Keenan winced, looking down at his hands. The other man’s voice grew soft. “But at least you’re finally conscious. You must be carrying a lot of baggage, son, not that it’s any of my business.” He stood, about to say something more when a horse neighed loudly, sounding frightened. “There goes Carrot again, probably scared by her shadow for the twentieth time today.” Grumbling something about a senile beast, he turned and exited the tent.

Keenan sighed, running a hand down his face. He hadn’t intended to fall asleep period while at this stop but apparently his body had decided otherwise and given him a ugly brand new nightmare to boot. His insomnia had betrayed him and now his mind was going to replay the dream he just had for the next several days. Just great.

As it was he had definitely stayed here too long. The animals had grown quite restless, even the other stable occupants had picked up on it. Ignoring the man glaring at him from the next bed over, he saw a Gerudo woman sitting on a chair, regarding him from across the room with slight annoyance in her tired green eyes.

‘Sorry.’ Keenan mouthed. The woman’s features softened in response.

Standing, he began to make ready.

--

By the time the stable boss had calmed down the livestock, Keenan had already finished chopping some new fire wood for the fire and gathering enough food to make a nice breakfast for everyone. Leaving a few pieces of gold on the boss’ desk, he left quickly before anyone took much notice.

Half a day passed. For a normal person traveling to Kakariko it would take a week before they arrived, that not including any weather or monster related problems they might have encountered among the way, but for Keenan a little bit of magic and skill made the trip quite easy. He was only a few hours at most from the village now, but instead of rushing there the rest of the way he had slowed down, trying to ready himself for the likely ill fate that awaited him.

He had spent several months preparing himself for what was to come. He was to put himself at the mercy of the Sheikah, beg them to remove the evil spirit from his body somehow, even if it meant he would die in the process. It wasn’t the best idea in the world but a plan was better than no plan. Many of his former Yiga brethren would have thought he had gone insane had they known of his plan to kneel before their sworn enemies, and he honestly wouldn’t have blamed them. He had the honor of being the dark lord’s chosen one after all, a fate that many worshipers would sell their souls to possess, and yet here he was squandering it. It made him uneasy even now.

But to be honest, being Ganon’s puppet would not be a fun time. Every day since he had learned of it, Keenan had been rebelling in any way he could, refraining from spilling more blood despite his growing hunger for it, even managing to not let his nightmares consume him. He actually yearned for freedom instead of destroying Hyrule over petty grudges, a realization he wouldn’t have likely had in the Yiga clan had things been different.

That didn’t change the fact the he was both mentally and physically exhausted over the affair however. The black, web like veins spreading from his heart, likely being a sign of Ganon’s taint, hurt more than ever despite his newly gained pain tolerance. Both it and the nightmares, whenever he actually managed to fall asleep that is, had worn him down. For supposedly just being in the prime of his youth, Keenan felt like he had experienced a lifetime in some ways.

The sounds of a excited bokoblin was what finally tore him away from his thoughts. Finding its source, he was surprised to see what appeared to be a young Sheikiah girl fighting the golden skinned beast. He tensed. Only skilled monsters that had managed to live a lot period of time possessed it, and from looking at it he could tell it carried a great amount of strength, quickly managing to gain the upper hand against its opponent.

She was quite nimble but obviously distracted by something. Without thinking Keenan rushed forwards, catching her just as she stumbled backwards over the slope.

“Are you okay, miss?” He asked. Other than looking surprised she seemed otherwise fine, though her cheeks were as red as tomatoes. He inwardly sighed, wondering what could have distracted her so. Had he not arrived when he did it was possible she could’ve been seriously injured. Were the Sheikah getting careless, or was he still a bit irritable from the nightmare he had earlier? Either way, he couldn’t just leave her here. His mother’s spirit would likely haunt his ass for the rest of his days if he did.

Giving the Sheikah woman a quick once over he gently placed her back on the ground. “Let me help.” He said, giving her what he hoped was a comforting smile.

Keenan then grasped the pommel of his sword, lunging upwards and disappearing in a puff of smoke. The bokoblin cried out in surprise, frantically turning around as its field of vision became dark. It swung its weapon in hopes of making contact with its attacker only to meet the air. When its back finally became exposed, the ex-Yiga took his chance, running the monster clear through. The Bokoblin was dead before it hit the ground.

Once the smoke had cleared Keenan noticed another sword lying down some feet away. He picked it up, admiring its design before jumping back down to the girl. “This yours?” He queried, holding the blade flat on his palms in front of her.

Majora angered by the bird man stamped her foot " Fine i am not playing anymore" and with that she the guardains and all the damage caused vanished as if it never happened.

Trill was startled. He stared in disbelief where the person had vanished from. The air rang with a sudden eerie silence. The guardians were gone. Even the damage done to the houses and shops was gone. It was like it had never happened.

The oppressive feeling In the air vanished along with the thing and the guardians. Relief flooded through Trill, turning his shaking into melting as sank to his knees clutching his chest and heaving out a huge sigh of relief.

It has been so surreal and nerve wracking and it was all gone so suddenly. Had his breakfast before he'd taken flight that morning been infected with a hallucinogenic fungus? No... No, scared and murmuring people were steadily trickling out of their hiding places, looking around warily and taking in the vanished damage from their dwellings. They'd probably seen the same thing he had.

So... Had he done it? Had he saved everyone? Or... If not so grand, at least helped resolve the situation? He was no hero, he couldn't possibly have- but wait.

That's when he remembered the words he'd heard. Something about him being a Hero and needing to save Hyrule. That couldn't be right.... He couldn't be some destined hero. He was no Revali. Heroes didn't stop monsters and villains by telling them that what they were doing was wrong. No... That would be rather silly, wouldn't it?

He shook himself of the thought. He shouldn't waste time pondering something so ridiculous. He got back to his feet, somewhat unsteadily, and hopped off the edge of the cliff, gliding down past the clacking wooden chimes he loved to hear on his visits.

"Is anyone hurt?" he called out. "Does anyone need help?"

🗡 Bemere
Bemere's heart nearly beat out of her chest as explosion after explosion filled her ears. What bad luck to be in this situation, surely there had to be something that can be done. She peaked outside the window, hoping to see something of use to help fight back against these monsters.

Instead, she saw people fighting back? Wait, what? She watched from her window as she saw a Rito in the sky squawking at what looked to be a person in the mask - wait are they floating?! Her eyes widen in shock, just what was happening in this small village? Her eyes then went to the floor, assess the damages, she thought. Everything either to be destroyed, on fire, or destroyed and on fire.

Just as she was about to dip back for cover, her eyes landed on two other figures. A lady dressed in white and a boy in a mask. What is it with these people and masks? They seemed to be fighting the guardians too, which made no sense to Bemere. She never had to fight one, were they even defeatable? She's never heard of someone killing one before, or hell, fighting one and surviving. Surely, she should join them? She faced the villagers in the back, their faces full of fear, bodies shaking. If she didn't help then who will? She wouldn't be able to stand herself if she cowered in here while others were fighting for their lives. And what if they died? Would she be charged for helping a murder since she didn't try to stop it. She swallowed, though it felt like a rock going down her throat. She looked out the window again, then back to the villagers. That voice said she's a hero, even if it was of her own imagination. She should act like one then.

"I'm going to go help them out there, stay put," she orders, hoping her voice isn't as shaky as she thought it was. The villagers gave a terse nods, which she gave back. Clutching the hilt of her sledgehammer, she made her way to the door. All you need to do is open the door, charge out there, and beat some guardian face in, she thought hoping the pep talk would instill some bravery in her. It had not, but that didn't matter because she needed to do this. If not for her, then to save some else's life if they needed it.

With this as her last thought, she opened the door. If she thought from inside the shop everything was loud, then whatever this was would surely make her deaf. Explosions sounded everywhere as the lasers shot. Lifting her sledgehammer in a battle stance, she charged, yelling at the top of her lungs: "AAAAAAAAAAA-"

Just as she was about to get to one guardian, it disappeared. Then all the other ones did, as if like magic. In one blink, Kakariko village went from ruins to as if nothing happened. She twirled around, bewildered, but nothing seems to be out of place. The person that was talking to the Rito was gone as well. The silence that fell in the valley was nearly as deafening as the explosions from before.

"I-is everyone okay?" She manages to ask the others, her eyes wide as if saying: please tell I'm not crazy, that you all experienced that hellscape too? Just then she hears the Rito from above. "I think we're okay!" She calls out, looking at the others around her. It didn't seem like anyone was majorly hurt; in fact, it seems like no one got hurt aside from maybe a scrape or two.

The battlefield seemed to grow more and more hectic as the seconds passed. With more people jumping into the fray and the mechanical beasts losing control. Noticing the monsters’ eyes turned on him Adagio steered his thoughts away from his surroundings and towards the fight. Swapping his mask for one that dangled at his hip resembling a Boar, the paint lining his body began to glow as he gripped the top of the Guardian. Leaping off while holding it he attempted to flip it only for it to be cleaved straight through midair.

Turning his attention to its executor he saw the girl ahead of him, blocking the rest of the enemies. Chuckling he responded to her question, “I do seem to be a bit cornered don’t I?” It would be tough to avoid this many beams targeted on them. But as he worried about how they’d be able to deal with the monsters they poofed away with the girl floating above the village. The enemy was no longer visible but he didn’t dare let his guard down, wholy unfamiliar with whatever magic they’d used. Swapping to the Owl mask to check for threats he scanned the nearby ground and finally let himself loosen up as he couldn’t find any trail nearby.

He turned to the others that had turned up to fight the machines. “All good here, they were gone before they attacked. Unless those beasts can fly as well, I think they’re completely gone. There are no tracks to show them scuttling around so I don’t believe they’re invisible.” Not to mention something that big would certainly still be heard as well.

It was a shame though, the figure floating above the village had a truly interesting mask they adorned. Ominous no doubt but unlike anything he’d ever even be able to conceive of, it would have been nice to study its make. There was nothing to be done about it now so he’d simply have to keep practicing his own skills. Perhaps something inspired by their attackers would be a worthwhile endeavor, though he wasn’t as familiar with metalworking so to do them justice would be a difficult endeavor. Nothing as fun as a challenge though!

“Are you okay, miss?”

It was a masculine voice and, though it was gentle, there was a hint of irritation too. Was she the cause of the annoyance? He hadn’t been obligated to save her. Looking up to meet his gaze, her already red cheeks took on a slightly darker hue, “I- um, I’m fine.” It would be wrong to say she wasn’t after he took the time out of his day to catch her, right?

This was embarrassing. How quickly she had played right into the Bokoblins hands. She found herself idly wondering if he had seen the whole entire thing, she hoped not. She could have easily won if she had just gotten out of her head.

The next scene was almost too quick to fully comprehend: he offered her help, a sweet gesture, and then with a puff of black smoke and a few seconds the creature was gone. He had managed to kill it that easily and she didn’t even put a scratch on it, so much for impressive first meetings. Lady Impa would be highly disappointed.

She stood there on the grass, emerald eyes staring in awe at the sight before her. The boy, whatever his name might be, picked her sword off of the ground and after, what looked like, some admiration, lifted it out to her. That was enough to break her out of her trance. Giving a quick nod, she gratefully took the sword out of his hand, “yes, thank you and I’m sorry for the trouble.”

She had almost forgotten about the scream when the remembrance of it came, signaling for her to move and not stand there. “I have to get back to Kakariko,” she bowed, a little awkwardly, “but thank you again.”

In the sands of Gerudo a redheaded girl poked her head around the corner to peer into a room. She was sheltered by an inn located in the Kara Kara Bazaar. A place that had housed and fed her and her brother for the past few years. As long as they brought in their own income the people were strangely warm towards them. It was odd for two children who were abandoned, even if in the end it seemed as though their parents might have had good intentions.

“Saran,” came the bubbly voice, steps soon following the name, “it’s time to wake up.” With the ferocity of a tiger the girl pounced directly onto her brother, shaking him playfully like a child would their sibling. “The sun’s already risen, wakeeeee upppp!” There was no sleep for the sisterly twin, some weren’t even sure if the word was in her vocabulary. She went to bed past the others and “woke up” at the crack of dawn, for that very reason, some questioned if she did sleep.

A cheshire grin graced her features, only moving from her spot on the bed when she felt her brother shift. “You know, since it’s our day off, I thought we could do something fun!” Her definition of fun probably didn’t come anywhere close to his.

“Please, heroes, you must save Hyrule. The hero of time, Link, is gone. Hyrule needs you.”

There was a shift in her mood, eyes widening faintly as the voice intervened within her thoughts. What the heck, hero?? Some voice, at thirteen, thought she had the potential to be a hero? She shook her head to clear her thoughts, passing it off as some sort of weird coincidence. Really, there was no way.

The mask-wearing boy chuckled at her question before he answered, something that confused her to no end, though she simply accepted it as a custom she knew nothing about for now. Maybe later she would ask, though not before she learned about the various masks and what they did, the traces of an old type of magic lighting his skin was intriguing nonetheless.

"You would be if they were real," She replied to him casually with a glance over her shoulder for just a moment till her gaze went back to the more "dangerous" guardians in front of her. The irony of reflecting attacks of something that wasn't even real didn't phase her much, not when they still could bring distress upon the ones inflicted by their blows. "But even an illusion can cause pain if they appear real enough."

The passing thought of if she had been hit before she had figured it out, how much pain would she have felt from being hit crossed her mind. It would make her fall to the ground in an agony for a wound she did not have? Or would the shock take over since she knew the lasers to be one of the more deadly attacks?

For now, it was better to not find out. Her thoughts were broken by the battle cry of a redheaded young woman wielding a sledgehammer who came running toward the nearest guardian. The sounds of the arguing above growing louder and then-

They were gone.

In a blink all the damage and guardians had disappeared, Saeha looking upward at the descending Rito and for the masked figure who had apparently caused it all only to find that the latter was missing. Gone without a trace without another word and taking their chaos with them. So lost in grasping what it was about them that piqued her interest, Saeha had almost blocked out the voices of the ones around her speaking.

Blinking away the familiar nostalgia of a time before she could recall, she let her golden-eyed gaze focus back on the present. To the people who were present and seemingly very startled by it all.

A soft, simple smile graced her features as she went over to the young woman with coral for jewelry, her palm resting on her shoulder. "A complex illusion was all that was. Though some of the people may have gotten hurt while trying to evade them." Looking around, Saeha retreated her hand as she addressed the heroic trio while walking over to a few villagers nearby.

"Would you all assist me in gathering the villagers who may have injured themselves retreating, I should be able to treat them at once if they're together."

🗡 Bemere
Bemere nods towards the blonde woman. Quickly, she noted just how beautiful the way she held herself.

"I can help, I was sheltered with a few villagers in the general shop. There was about four of us, they didn't get hurt." Her voice wavered a bit, the adrenaline slowly seeping out of her, leaving her semi-exhausted from everything that was happening.

Other than the blonde, she regarded the boy in a mask and the Rito. She's never seen any of these people before and she's been in Kakariko several times during her time as a merchant. Are they here for a reason? The looked more heroic than she does, perhaps they're adventurers.

Moving towards some villagers that were coming out of the buildings, she assessed the damages. Most of them were perfectly fine aside from maybe a scrape or two that happened from running away rather than the attack itself.

"They all seem pretty okay." She yelled back towards the supposed healer as she finished checking another villager. Whispered of bewilderment came from all around her, no one understanding what exactly happened.

Bemere looks back to the lady in white, she said it was an illusion of some sort. She had no experience in illusions, but she understood the concept fairly well. Deti would often talk of magic and the ways it could be used. She would be lying if she didn't say she wasn't interested herself.

She watched as the others moved about the village, curious as to why this was all happening. It's been a rather strange couple of days. Deti gone missing - which she will continue to search for - and now an illusionist who can create the look of mass destruction. A chill went through her at the thought, what else could happen now?

Trill touched down in the center of the village, at the bottom of the stairs of the largest building, which guests weren't allowed to enter.

Trill asked around, doing his best to be sure no one was hurt. "Does anyone need help?" "Is anyone hurt?" "Is anyone missing?"

When it was clear that everyone was accounted for and all injuries were minimal and in no need of medical attention, he allowed his shoulders to droop. "Okay..." he muttered to himself. "Okay, no injuries. Nobody is missing...." That was his first priority. How else could he help?

Everyone, including himself if he were honest, was still shaken up and still afraid. The threat did seem to be gone, but.... "I'll make some chamomile tea if anybody would like some. It can help calm the nerves." He set off for a communal cooking fire.

Descending from the mountains took a while, and after quite a bit of travel, Aisha was tired, and frustrated. She'd thought, perhaps erronously, that choosing a new trail would speed the jourey back. In fact, it had make the trip take even long as at some point in the recent past, a landslide blocked the pathway forcing Aisha to pick her way over the rubble to avoid having to backtrack.

At the edge of the village, Aisha could here quite a bit of chaos happening in teh distance. Screaming, shouting, and plenty of people running about. She couldn't hear or see exactly what was happening at a distance, but it was enough for Aisha to duck back onto the trail. Placing her hand over her chest, she called up a bit of her magic, softly chanting. The feeling of cold water rushed over her, and anyone watching might have seen Aisha's entire appearance ripple. From her hand, the illusion spiralled outwards, her pale-grey skin slowly replaced with a light tan. Furhter, her shoulders broadened every so slightly, making the pack and equipment on her back seem slightly less oversized and ungainly looking. Slightly rounded eyes, a brown tunic and pants completed her new look.

"Just another day." Aisha mumbled, shifting her pack, and making a face. Even with plenty of experience her illusions still felt awful to put on and take off.

Task now completed, Aisha put on her best concerned expression and started making her way towards the village in as much of a hurry as she could, without giving away that her new form wasn't quite right. As she got closer, things didn't quite add up. There wasn't enough visible damage for people to be fleeing in chaos, there weren't bodies, and, if anything people were just standing around now.

At the center of the standing there was a core group of people. A Rito, quite far from home, a Hylian woman that didn't ring any bells for Aisha, one that she couldn't place immediately and finally blonde woman who just looking at left Aisha quite uncomfortable. Jogging up towards the group she raised her voice a bit. "Do you guys know what is going on? I saw people running but nothing seems to have happened?"

The threat was apparently gone and Adagio could properly check for where he could help now. He helped right anything that had been knocked over in the people’s own panic and gathered those he could find from their hiding places. Hopefully whoever has bunkered down would hear the chatter of the others and know everything had calmed down out here.

Though he said calmed down it almost seemed as if the village was getting more lively as the danger disappeared and all the villagers reconvened. With the arrival of a new traveler as well Adagio responded to her inquiry. “Ah, according to swordswoman it was just illusion magic, though some pretty vivid stuff at that.” He ran his hand through his hair, remembering even being able to feel the heat of the flames and becoming warm at just the memory.

“Ah, speaking of which…” He turned to the woman in question, “Could I get your name? It’d help me thank you properly for your help. Mine’s Adagio.” Saying that he put his hand out for an introductory handshake.

While he did so his mind was elsewhere, with what had just happened and all. The chaos that ensued so shortly after the telepathic message he’d received was certainly suspicious. He couldn’t help wonder what the connection between the two events might be but for now introductions were in order. After all it wouldn’t do to be rude to the people who’d jumped to the village’s rescue.

With sandy sheets laying atop himself, a red headed Gerudo boy was fast asleep upon the cold sandstone slab that he had known to call a comfortable bed. His mind and body were at peace after the hard labor of sweeping and cleaning and maintaining Sand Seals just to get by yesterday. He wasn't too fond of all the work, and having to scrape up sand seal stool in the sand and dispose of it, but it's what he and his sister had to do to stay alive after they were abandoned by their parents in the desert.

But that didn't matter now, because the work was yesterday and today was their day off. All he could hear were the sounds of thousands of grains of sand blowing around in a consistent whir of wind as he slept quietly in the dimly lit room. The sun had just risen, illuminating his duel swords hung up upon the wall, the books in the shelf across from him, and the neat pile of feminine-clothes on his chair in a brilliant red and purple hue. All was peaceful and perfect as Saran slept in the silence of his room.

And then paradise was interrupted by his sister, barging in and jumping up and down on his bed

“it’s time to wake up!" She eagerly said. "The sun’s already risen, wakeeeee upppp!"

Saran turned over on his bed as his sister sit on top of him, too tired and frankly a little upset to give a proper response. All he wanted to do was go back to sleep and enjoy the nice serenity of the room he had before.

“You know, since it’s our day off, I thought we could do something fun!”

Saran let out a sigh and opened his eyes to see his sister's bright smiling face. It seemed to light up the room more so than it had been before, outdoing the sun's efforts entirely. He looked at it, gazed at her glistening emerald eyes, her fiery red hair, and her big smile and left out a little chuckle.

He couldn't stay mad at her for long, even if it was 6 in the morning. He loved her more than he loved anything else in the whole world. Her peppiness, though often persistent and annoying, always had the capacity to make him smile, and had been there with him even on their darkest days. Her bubbly attitude was endearing, positive, and it was what made him lift himself up under the sheets and rub his eyes before opening them once again.

"Would you thing staying in bed and sleeping until noon as fun?" He asked, stretching his arms into the air and letting out a long yawn. He knew what the answer was going to be, but that didn't mean he shouldn't ask. "But knowing you, you probably have something else in mind."

He sat cross legged waiting for the verdict of what they'd be doing today, blinking back the cloudiness from his mind.

The Lost Fairy
;; Saeha
Saeha gave a kind, apologetic smile to the exhausted red-head who offered her help before turning her attention to the villagers in front of her. Listening to the Rito ramble on, he received his own replies before zooming off to find a communal cooking fire to to make tea. The name chamomile faintly rang a bell in her mind pleasantly, possibly a drink she had liked at one point, but for now, there were other things to worry about.

Her sword disappeared from her hand, fading into quickly fading shimmers of light that caught a few eyes by surprise.

The other two followed her lead in checking on the villagers and even the masked male was helping to right the turned-over items knocked over when everything was launched into chaos. Her hands hovered the small bruises and scraps of the villagers that had come over to her after hearing her call, and soft pale light glowed from her palm. It seemed as though specks of stars twinkled in and out of sight from that light as their non-threatening injuries disappeared.

"Wow! Thank you Miss! My leg doesn't hurt anymore!" A small Sheikah child giggled after cooing at the pretty light she had been using to heal them and the others, though they were just minor injuries the effect of the gentle light and her very presence helped ebb away their lingering fear in favor of light levity. The blond giggled back while running her fingers through the child's hair, slowly making it a little messier than before.

"That's wonderful, now you are free to find your friends and start playing again," Saeha says softly as she booped the boy on the nose before standing up from her kneeling position with a small sigh of relief. Her hand placed over her chest as she reassessed herself for just a moment. No fatigue as of yet tried to rest in her limbs, but if there had been more villagers that wanted an easy fix to a small problem that would be fine in a few days, she might have been a little tired from using magic to heal.

"They all seem pretty okay."

The fairy almost jumped at the suddenness of Bemere's yell telling her that the rest of the villagers were fine. Turning around to face both her and Adagio again, she kept her hand over her heart as she bowed slightly to them.

"Thank you both for your help. Even if they are mostly fine, it doesn't hurt to be cautious in these times." She spoke gratefully to them, and would also give her thanks to the Rito who had left to make tea as soon as he returned, all of them have gone beyond what was needed without even a hint of a reward. With that, a new being emerged. Something familiar and yet strange, all wrapped around the new traveler who had appeared. Adagio took over answering their questions as Saeha simply stared in slight wonder, her head tilting a bit to the side as she tried to place what it was she was feeling.

However she pushed it from her mind when he turned to look at her, his hand held out for her to take though she merely stared at it for a moment. The gears churned in her head to recall what greeting he was referring to.

Hesitantly, she reached her hand out and grasped his hand with a firm, but gentle grip. "It is a pleasure to have met you brave Adagio. You may call me Saeha if you would like."

She spoke gratefully to them, and would also give her thanks to the Rito who had left to make tea as soon as he returned, all of them have gone beyond what was needed without even a hint of a reward.

🗡 Bemere
Bemere's face flushed a pretty pink when Saeha talked to her, her mind instantly blanking of any words to respond with. Instead, she nodded dumbly, a nervous smile on her lips. She's used to talking to people, but beautiful people left a mark on her. She never learned how to properly push through being flustered, instead it made it seem like she melted. She wiped her hands on her trousers, hoping the idle animation would calm her beating heart and red face.

Even through these emotions, she did managed to listen for their names. Saeha and Adagio, she thought, what truly interesting yet gorgeous names. She mouthed them once or twice, the names committed to her memory. How could she not remember these heroes? They bravely fought the guardians while she hid. Shame entered and replaced the warm, fuzzy feeling Saeha gave her, making her skin feel white hot. How could she just hide when people needed help? Yes, she did come out at the end, but left no impact before the illusion faded. Yet, her mind had the gall to relay that hero message from earlier in hopes that what? She, herself, would be a hero?

A new person entering the conversation helped divert these feelings. Again, someone she didn't recognize from the village. Their question meant they weren't here during the time of the attack, perhaps they saw the smoke that wafted up from the village. Or even worse, heard the screams of every villagers. She faced the girl, tilting her head to think what she should say, how does one explain the situation? She was apart of it, and yet, was left confused.

"There were..." she started, pausing to swallow, "guardians that attacked the village. They weren't real guardians, but someone managed to make an illusion of them. They left no damage, thankfully, and left without a trace." She hoped the explanation sufficed. She wanted to give them a smile, something to let them know everything was fine, but she couldn't manage it. Shame, confusion, and a headache made it near impossible to fully think clearly. Her ears still lightly rang from the explosions, fake or not, they were loud.

She lightly touched an ear, hoping rubbing it would help calm down the ringing, only to notice that a few of her piercings were gone. It's tradition for those in Lurelin to incorporate coral into their everyday wear when they turned 16. It was like a right of passage because the teen has to go out and get it themselves. The coral reef was a few miles off from the shore and guarded by some dangerous monsters depending on the time of day you went. Bemere was lucky that she got hers with ease. Everyone used the coral differently, but her family usually wore them as jewelry. She remembered the feeling of her mom poking the holes in her ears, stuffing the coral and smiling brightly at her. Now, most of them were gone, probably lost during the chaos of the guardians attacking. A frown crossed her lips at this discovery, a feeling of something is missing burrowed deep within her stomach.

This day was honestly getting on her last nerve.

Busying himself helped Trill calm down somewhat. One of the shopkeepers, hearing his plan to attempt to provide anyone who could use one after such an ordeal with a cup of tea, lent him cups and kettles and even some of their own herbs. They refused his rupees for it.

As he worked, Trill hummed a gentle song he used to sing when any of the children back home would have a nightmare. Steadily, his feathered hands stopped shaking as he poured camomile into a few dozen mismatched cups.

He meandered through the small village one round of tea at a time until he came to the group that included those who had been so brave as to actually fight the guardians. A young man in a mask, a woman who'd only just arrived, apparently having lucky enough timing to have missed the action, a merchant girl he didn't quite recall ever seeing before today, but judging by the coral, she was from Lurelin, and a hylian girl who he could recognize as elegantly beautiful, like a flower.

"Would anyone care for some nice calming tea?" he offered, lowering the tray he carried. "Does wonders after a bad scare like that. That was incredible of you three! I almost dare to think we would've been alright were that a real attack!" It was… quite an exaggeration, but still. Such efforts were highly commendable.

Illusion magic? Aisha suppressed her frown. Illusions that big were hard to do, in fact they were extremely difficult, well beyond anything she’d personally attempt. Thinking on it, Aisha wasn’t sure she could think of anyone with enough power to pull something like that off. Not that she could say something like that, as if there was something to give away that she knew a lot more than a simple hunter was supposed to.

Two of them gave names, Adagio who spoke first, and that one that made Aisha very uncomfortable, who was apparently named Saeha. Worse, she seemed to be putting quite a bit of focus on Aisha herself. The Hylian with them seemed lost in her own thoughts after adding a bit more detail to the explanation, which only gave Aisha more questions, and fewer answers.

Finally a Rito approached offering tea, and congratulating the other three for taking action. Shaking off her own musings, Aisha stepped forwards a bit, trying to smile apologetically. “I’m sorry for not being here sooner, there was a landslide on the path I took and it slowed me down, otherwise I might have been able to help. It’s good to hear that it was only an illusion but…” She trailed off, already trying to work out just what, or how, those false guardians could have been conjured up.
