ZODIA
「realm of the twelve houses 」
Located 6 million light years away from the Milky Way, Zodia is a galaxy spanning 350,000 light years apart. Zodia has four distinctive major arms named after the Cardinal Signs - Aria, Cancri, Libra, and Capricornus. At the centre of the galaxy lies a supermassive black hole known as Ophiuchus, named after the long forgotten thirteenth sign.
On the Capricornus arm of Zodia lies a solar system made up of twelve planets that orbit around their sun, Sera.
Sera's solar system and local group includes twelve planets and millions of stars, each planet belonging to a different Zodiac house. Each Zodiac house has one Ruling Planet and one Crown Star which belong to the house.

[div class="tabContent 1"]Aries: Mars the Ruling Planet of the Aries House. The Crown Star of Aries is Hamal. Aries's planet is red and rocky, and very full of dust. But the community have made the best of it, growing strong against the ashy, red horizon. The Aries House values determination above all.
Taurus: Venus is the Ruling Planet of the Taurus House. The Crown Star of Taurus is Aldebaran, the red hypergiant. Taurus's home is bright and it's cities never sleep, burning bright against the cold, dark space around them. The Taurus House values resilience above all.
Gemini: Mercury is the Ruling Planet and Pollux is the Crown Star. The planet is rocky and mountainous, but the community thrives among sharp dead drops and vicious ascends to homes among the clouds. The Gemini house values curiosity and a thirst for knowledge.
Cancer: Cancer's own moon is their ruling planet and their crown star is Al Tarf. The home planet is filled with vast oceans and little islands of paradise or doom scattered all around. They value sympathy and empathy.
Leo: Leo is the only house who's ruling planet and Crown Star are the same celestial figure - Sera, the sun the twelve planets revolve around. Leo's planet is warm and sunny and filled with beaches and shores. They value creativity above all.
Virgo: Mercury is also Virgo's ruling planet, and the crown star is Spica. Virgo lives among a paradise planet lush with thick forests and powerful rivers, but is prone to natural disasters. Virgo values loyalty.
Libra: Venus is also Libra's ruling planet and their crown star is Zubeneschamali, or simply Zu. Libra appears to be very old in their architecture, but do not mistaken their old, traditional style for weakness. Libra strongly uphold ideals of fairness and justice.
Scorpio: Pluto is Scorpio's ruling planet, and their crown star is Antares. Scorpio made their home from nothing but what their planet gave them, which is not much but rocks and more. But they took what they had and worked with it to creat ed a flourishing city. Scorpians value resourcefulness.
Sagittarius: Jupiter is the Ruling Planet of Sagittarius. The Crown Star is Kaus Australis. Sagittarius is plentiful and the community is known for their generosity towards others. They value generosity and hospitality.
Capricorn: Saturn is the Ruling Planet of Capricorn. It's crown star is Deneb Algedi. Capricornians raked the planet they had into the planet they wanted to live in. They value discipline greatly.
Aquarius: Uranus is the Ruling Planet of Aquarius. The Crown Star is beta Aquarii, a rare yellow hypergiant star. Aquarii live in independence and solitude, their homes scattered away from each other. They value independence.
Pisces: Neptune is the Ruling Planet of Pisces. Their crown star is Eta Pisceum. Pisces live in a planet that is almost solely water except for the capital. Pisceans value compassion.
The Thirteenth House
There once was a thirteenth house. It was Ophiuchus, ruling planet Saturn and Crown Star Rasalhauge. However, the House was found guilty of conspiring a war between the houses of Capricorn and Sagittarius over who should rightfully been the Cardinal Sign.
For the house's treacherous deeds, Ophiuchus was cast into the centre of the Zodia, their crown star destroyed and turned into the black hole, destroying their power source infinitely, but the Houses never realised how Ophiuchus might turn their end into their beginning, sapping strength right from the infinitely powerful black hole it lived in, becoming stronger and more vicious than any other House in Zodia.

[div class="tabContent 2"] It is the year 4511 on Earth, the Orion Arm, the Milky Way. In the year 4205, Zodia was first discovered. Humanity has been to Andromeda, the Triangulum galaxy, and more. But human curiousity is never satisfied, and the discover of Zodia has pushed them to arrive on the distant galaxy's Capricornus Arm, in the solar system of the Twelve Houses.
This group of human explorers have come at a bad time however, as the Twelve Houses are turning tense as Ophiuchus rises from the dark void of the supermassive black hole it became. The once hospitable and welcoming houses are retreating home, shutting out each other, and preparing for the war on Ophiuchus.
But it's not the Twelve Houses all against Ophiuchus. As Ophiuchus rears its head, the Houses are also starting to point fingers at each, and if the explorers don't intervene one way or another, the Houses may just destroy each other and leave Ophiuchus to devour the galaxy and the rest of the Universe if left unchecked.
The Explorers however, have more influence than they think they do. As with all humans, everyone is born under a Zodiac House, and their inner strength and powers can be unlocked if they can convince the House Leaders. But there is most definitely a catch, and the Explorers may get caught up in the war against other houses instead of against Ophiuchus.
Are they strong enough to resist the vicious pull of the signs they were born under? Are the Houses even strong enough to resist unleashing total war? Or is this the end of Zodia as it is, and is Ophiuchus on the road to total destruction of the Universe? [/div]
[div class="tabContent 3"]Welcome to Realm of Zodia! Here are some things to note when deciding if you want to join in.
- This is a literate RP. You know the usual, write at least a paragraph, please be sensible in your writing, etc. You know this.
- Characters can be Explorers, or Zodiacs. Explorers are 100% human and have nothing special about them except for the fun Zodiac powers they can unlock later when they convince their Zodiac signs to give them the powers. Don't be OP, of course, but otherwise your character's powers are pretty open for you to decide. Better if they're related to your character's sign.
- Zodiacs are a variety of sentient creatures. Mostly human-like, but many reflect their constellation. They also have a variety of powers that reflect their sign, but not all of them have the same powers, or any at all. Some of them are born with no powers. Some also physically reflect their sign in different ways. Some may be wholly reflecting their sign physically.
- Aries: The Ram. Ram horns are a common physical trait. Common power: Strength.
- Taurus: The Bull. Bull horns and large builds (upwards of 2 metres, some even up to 4 metres) are a common physical trait. Common power: Strength.
- Gemini: The Twins. Doubled features (eyes, arms, etc) are a common (and mildly horrifying) physical trait. Common power: Future Prediction.
- Cancer: The Crab. Extremely tough skin and sometimes claws are common physical traits. Common power: Speed.
- Leo: The Lion. Thick, mane-like hair and sharper, longer teeth are common physical traits. Common power: Strength.
- Virgo: The Virgin. Virgos are the most human and exhibit no unique physical traits. Common power: Healing.
- Libra: The Scales. Oddly symmetrical and beautiful features are common physical traits. Common power: Materialisation of Objects
- Scorpio: The Scorpion. Stingers are common physical traits. Common power: Venomous stings/bites.
- Sagittarius: The Archer. Centaurs are common. Common power: Pinpoint accuracy.
- Capricorn: The Goat. Lithe and agile builds, and horns (males) are common physical traits. Common power: Impeccable balance, strong heads to ram into things.
- Aquarius: The Water Bearer. Mermaids and mermen are common. Common power: Extended underwater breath.
- Pisces: The Fish. Pisces also do not exhibit a lot of unique traits though some have patches of iridescent scales. Common power: Telepathy.
