Magic Eight Ball
wooo, welcome to my search! lots of random things mish-mashed together, but hopefully something catches your eye!
i'm alex, realex, whatever you really want to call me. i'm a 25 (turning 26 next month woo) year old with far too much free time and a love for collaborating. any pronouns work, but if you want defaults, she/her and it/its are my go to for now. as a warning, i do type really casually ooc, but i do fix my writing up when ic. capitalization, punctuation, ect are all present, i promise.
speaking of ic, writing wise i am very flexible. i'm fine with a couple hundred words and a short, chill session, but i'm also down for 1k+ words and much more in depth responses. as a warning, though, the longer it is, the more time it takes for me to reply. i've even done little text-chat rp stuff with close friends, but it would take a good bit of convincing to do without any previous interactions (but it's not impossible!). i just... generally like having options. i will say i do prefer 500 as like, a minimum, but truthfully i can be talked down if we click and you're runnin low on juice, it's just very, very rare i find someone where under 500 works well for my interest. i don't generally write over 2.5/3k words because it is very taxing, as a warning, too. i'm not novella (at least i don't think, i can't keep up with the terms ngl x_x) level, especially not for consistent replies, i'm sorry!
before we get to the fun stuff, just a few small things.
one : please be over 18. i'm nearly 26, i feel like this is just.. generally pretty understandable, lol.
two : please communicate! if something ain't workin, let me know! we can work something out! i'm very chill, i promise, and i want to hear from you.
three : i'd like us to be friends. it's not a hard make or break, but i generally love making friends and rp is one of the ways i do it. it's a big plus to me if you're willing to be friends.
four : reminding me and even spamming me is fine, personally. i won't do it to you, but i'm fine being reminded repeatedly so long as you're not an ass about it.
five : dark themes are fine. let me know what your triggers are. i have none, so we'll work around yours.
six : i'm fine with love triangles/poly. just ask!
seven : i mostly use drawn faceclaims (specifically anime/gaming characters) but i'm fine with switching to realistic if that's your beat.
eight : no real preference on ship genders. m/f, f/f, m/m is all good for me.
now, onto the fun stuff! each plot will have a star rating for how much i'm lookin for it right now, with 1 being 'eh, i'd be fine with it but i'm not super interested' and 5 being 'i would eat my own leg to do this'. bolded characters will be the ones i'd prefer to play.
plots :
two different worlds. ***
muse a is a singer-songwriter with a less than stellar personality. they're loud, boisterous, pompous, arrogant... just about every stereotype in the book to being a rock star. they aren't a bad person for the most part, but that doesn't change the unsavory characteristics they have. everyone knows them, loves them, and they know it. well, except for muse b. muse b is a socially reclusive artist that can best be described as 'blunt' and 'completely out of touch' with anything outside of their bubble. when muse b is commissioned to paint muse a, they don't hit it off. after all, b doesn't have a clue (or really gives a damn) about who a is, and a is... well, not exactly stoked that they don't care nor care to know them. but slowly, as the painting sessions continue, they get to know each other more and more, and maybe they actually have a bit more in common than they think.
- honestly, i imagine this as a 'a fell first, b fell harder' type beat. also a bit of 'we are utterly pathetic without each other' type thing, y'know? i just love opposites attract and i think it'd be a fun dynamic.
i'll keep your secret. *****
muse a and muse b are friends in a loose sense, they see each other every so often and chat when they do, but they don't go out of their way to talk. at best, they talk maybe once a week... until muse a stumbles on to muse b killing someone. it's pretty brutal-- violent, even. disgusting, one might say. but a has never been the type to truly care if it doesn't affect them, and really, it's almost laughable to see b's face when it happens. for a killer, they sure look scared and worried. a teases them, mentioning how easy it'd be to scream, and b looks ready to cry. it's almost.. cute. y'know, besides the blood stained knife in their hand and the gurgles of someone's life leaving them. so a promises to keep it a secret. after all, what fun would it be to not see more of what b was actually like behind their picture-perfect appearance? and besides, a has no want to die right now. all for fun, right?
- fucked up little freak x fucked up little freak galore. why b is a killer is up to you, because honestly, both the 'killed out of desperation' and the 'actually a freak who likes killing' routes seem fun to me. definitely a weird relationship dynamic since i imagine a would have a lot more power over b despite b literally being a killer, though. vaguely inspired by aku no hana.
legally blonde. *
muse a is seen a specific way by others-- their bleached hair, the bright clothes they wear, their excitable and simply way of talking... needless to say, they're taken unseriously by others, always seen as the 'dumb blonde'... even by their own boyfriend. so when their boyfriend, muse b, says they need a jackie, not a marilyn, they make a decision.. get into harvard! and, despite what others think, it's actually quite doable for them. sure, they have to study harder than they had originally to get their 4.0, but they do it! the issue is, though, that muse b still doesn't see them as a viable option. so surely that just means a has to work harder, right? they meet muse c, who happens to be another law student who doesn't judge them based off their looks, and helps them out. slowly, muse a finds they actually quite like law school, and they find themselves discovering more and more about themselves!
- i recently rewatched this and i just ugh. u g h . i love it, man. honestly, i'm super open to a lot with this one! i do want to give muse b what they deserve though, because fuck warner in the original movie lmao.
apothecary diaries. *****
- so not a real 'original', but i'd love something based off this. i have a love for weird little dudes who have a specialty and i think it could be really fun to have our own plot following the vague story. and, truthfully, i'd like to have a love triangle / poly thing going on! i personally would probably like to play the two characters that'd end up with crushes on the weird little apothecary, specifically from two separate factions. one royal and one courtesan, just for funsies. i know this might make it a hard sell, but i just,,, love this setting and i really wanna play a courtesan in it. :' ) but i'm open to any thoughts!
relationship dynamics :
yandere x yandere
popular x loser
succubus/incubus x mortal
cat x dog
openly obsessed x secretly obsessed
paparazzi x celebrity
courtesan x royalty
and i'll add more stuff if i can think of it!
