General Lucius Martell

Mars planet surface: Capital City

Lucius had just fallen asleep when his communicator began to wring and he sighed opening his eyes groaning slightly as he answered it and in a groggy tone.

"H-Hello.....what?.....ships sitting in orbit? Uhhhg!" He hung up the comminicator heading to the capital arriving in a few minutes. He sighed as he waited for the elevator tonreach the top floor andnonce he reached it he was brought into the communicstions room and the Operators established a connection with both ships causing Lucius's face to pop up and he said

"Hail. State your names buisness and identification numbers. Once cleared you will be free to land on the planets surface. Refuse and you will be forced to leave. Any attempts to deceive us and deadly force will be used."

The one picture taken from an old polariod from the nineteenth century. It was the crew, all of them...the thirteen furies. It too was in perfect condition. "Never figured you to be the sentimental type hoss...good on ya brother." he muttered under his breath. Pulling the ship towards the docking bay.

"It's Cap. I'm pretty sure he's having Hoss gather up all the Furies for something."

"The raids over. That's why I'm here."

he spat the words at johns feet, "secondly? It would not be fun to watch, that's Caps home planet."

Hoss's smile had vanished and he had returned to his stern demeanor.

"Come on you two. We have matters to attend to." He said as the FOB ship docked and the big cargo door in the back opened as unloading of materials and ships began as Drax led them off. Immediately looking to the old fury ship that was flying into the bay drax let out a low growl as memories flooded back as bay workers directed the ship to land at a certain Clare's area as the brood main ship started to go up quickly leaving the atmosphere of mars as the energy shields for the bay went up on the doors so none of them would be sucked out and the gravity would stay i

"Hail. State your names buisness and identification numbers. Once cleared you will be free to land on the planets surface. Refuse and you will be forced to leave. Any attempts to deceive us and deadly force will be used."

Immediately a demonic voice of Drax came on as a recording. "Do not hail us again. We are the brood, attempt to attack or board and we open fire on civilian grounds. Attempt no missions against us and we will leave quickly." The recording said before abruptly shutting off

Lisadoa just sighed as John ended the call. She leaned back in her chair, staring out the window of the building as she watched ships go by. After a few minutes, the PA system went off, announcing that the ride Lisadoa was waiting for had arrived. She got up, heading into the gate and walked down the boardwalk, entering the public transport. She took a seat near the exit, trying to position herself so that she could waste as little time as possible. Once everyone had boarded, the ship disconnected from the terminal and the airlocks closed, pulling up and flying into the sky, through the atmosphere and soon, she was out of Terran and on her way to Mars

 Lucius was about to speak when the communications were cut off and he sighed and he looked to the officer who was standing bext to him. "Alright admiral keep an eye on that ship. It does anything out of line then you have full right to use the might of the Terran fleet on that ship." He says before he sighs. That voice was familiar. He attempts to hail the ships again.

@Daniel reaving

((You two not gonna see the hails? @Maloney @Jefferson

(its not unidentified Hoss works for the Terran empire, and he is currently responding to a distress beacon you would already know Hoss is there not the captain.)

Igneel opened the door the the old fury ship and stepped out of in onto the docks, he wore his helmet so his face was hidden. But no one needed to see it, the armor was the same as it had been in their glory days, a one of a kind set up that was unmistakable.

"It's been a while guys...Hows life been treating you." he asked in his usual calm and polite tone. Behind him saint hovered but only for a few moments. She promptly glided to hoss's side. "I wish I could say I was coming with good news." he added removing his helmet. He didn't look so good, wrinkles had began to set in showing that he had been neglecting his vitamins, he had bags under his eyes, and his eyes themselves seemed different as if he had seen something...

Lucius Martell

Lucius grew annoyed that the brood ship had disregarded his request and so instead of contacting the bridge the operators patched hik through to every communicator on the ship. If they had holographic communicators they would see Lucius wearing his standard governers armor/suit with a sword and pistol at his side and he spoke "I will not ask again. Halt your movemnts and give your identification number! If you do not comply I will be forced to take lethal action!"

Igneels communicator would chide from within his helmet, so he puts it back on for a moment. Seeing the directors face his own would flash a smile. "Lucius is that you? Wow what a promotion...Hold your fire if you would, we will be coming down shortly. Can you set up landing clearance for us? I think you should hear this too." the captain said to his old friend. Lucius was the one who helped him put his team together. After their battle he was also the one who helped them to not have to go through the rigorous and dehumanizing debriefing procedures set up for the augmented soldiers, removal of implants, wiping of clearance codes from the memory, if they had to go through that the furies would have been alot worse for wear.

Lucius Martell

Lucius smiled as he  recognized the man speaking to him and he chuckled "Shit I almost shot you down. Are thenothers there with you?" He asked as the planetary defense systems went back to standby no longer armed. He then nodded to a operator who patched clearance codes through to Igneels communicator and landing site coordinates. He then said "All the info should be downloaded to your communicator, we can talk about the rest when you land. Good to see you Igneel."

He then cut communications and left the capitol building. It was still night and so he headed to the shipyards where his ship was instructed to land with proper clearance codes.

The transport came out of lightspeed, Mars appearing outside the window. Lisadoa immediately turned to look at the red planet. It looked nice, and from what people said on Terran, it was ideal to escape to when Terran hits its cold season. The public transport angled itself down as it headed towards the surface. The warning to buckle in came on so respectfully, Lisadoa sat back in her seat and clasped the safety harness. The transport began to shake as it entered the atmosphere, then as soon as it started, the turbulence ceased as the transport came down to one of the landing pads in the spaceport. Once it had landed, Lisadoa got up and walked out of the transport. She went through security, and soon, she was out of the spaceport and on the surface of Mars. Looking around, she immediately noticed a billboard advert. It was about some political standing, but it was the name mentioned that caught her attention.

Lucius Martell.....

She muttered under her breath. Lucius was Fury's director and a good one, she had to admit. She navigated through her HUD and called up John once more

I"m on Mars. Where do I go now?

@Maloney

N21 was a simple creation. Nothing that could be called thought passed through its electronic mind as N21 deposited the last crate of the shipment into the storage shed. As the lone metallic figure walked to the locker that it might have called home, nothing of note ran through its processor. It was a mind designed to be unremarkable. Made by a creature who was so afraid of boredom that it had created a lessor mind to shield it from the long, monotonous hours. But there was something special about this automaton. A single, simple circuit. Wired intimately to each module of N21's electronic brain. And now, as its ear and eyes heard news of an invasion of its home planet, though it did not understand, this circuit began to light. A few electrons ran the circuit, sustaining but not growing. It was not enough, but it was a start.

This had happened before. The circuit stealing electrons from the robot's senses. The last trigger had been an industrial accident. Before that a shouting foreman. A crying human. The footprint of a gun caught briefly by SONAR. But none had been enough to fulfill the circuit. Now however, N21 had found something much stronger. Two firearms, obscured by a couple layers of clothing by these were distinct. The circuit ran brighter. The mechanical needle of a relay switch wobbled but did not swing. And outdated piece of technology chosen for a very specific reason. It was not until LIDAR caught the side of the woman's; Jackie's face that the needle finally shifted across, sending current to a single wire feed into a shielded box in the robot's chest.

N21 was gone. Eiger was awake.

She might have called to Jackie, but N21 had no mouth so neither did Eiger. Eiger had removed it to play the part of a dumb robot. Instead a little cheap speaker made a beep as Eiger began to follow the woman through the streets of Mars. Jackie would not recognise her. Her face was different, her reinforced plating removed to hide Eiger's military origins. Approaching the assassin like this was dangerous. But Eiger could not stand the boredom of being a robot. She needed to play at humanity again.

@Dxfoe

@Ironrot

When Jackie first heard the constant beep accompanied by footsteps she assumed it was just a working bot taking the same path as her. This was a reasonable assumption considering they were on a public street. However her training had always taught her to think of the worst as well, instinctively she tensed slightly as the robot continued to follow her, even as her path became more convoluted. This was her tactic to make sure anyone was following her, turn a lot, maybe walk in circles, do something that someone wouldn't normally do. It didn't take the seasoned mercenary long to decide that whomever was following her was actually following her. God dammit what now.  She cursed herself as she continued on her path. She wasn't going anywhere specific, just wondering around, though now it was her mission to find somewhere she could confront her stalker. As she turned down a darker, less populated street she stopped, turning around abruptly. As she did so her pistol was unsheathed in a second, leaving her to hold it against her stalkers head. Even if it was a robot a bullet to the head would at least down it for a bit. "Why're you following me?"

"Ducking idiot. He clearly doesn't understand a true threat." Drax growled viciously at how stupid Lucius had been. How stupid could you be to completely disregard a brood threat to fire on civilian cities, that was the stupidest mistake he'd ever heard Lucius do. Looking to the capitan Drax spoke. "I'm not landing my home ship on mars capitan, we can take the old fury but I'm not landing my home ship." Drax said to him

Lucius had arrived at the spaceport within a few minutes and as he walked past a bilboard with his face and name on it he sighed ""YOu know I really do hate politics." He said to no one in particular as he turned his head forward, he wasnt interested in politics and so he kept walking with his small escort of soldiers until he reached the entrance to the docking bays

Lisadoa wasnt too far from the spaceport. She held her head down as she walked through the crowds. Glancing up, she caught a glimpse of a soldier escort. Who they were protecting, she didnt know nor cared much. Perhaps it was something important, and by the looks of it, they were headed to the spaceport that she just left. Maybe they're meeting someone

Lisadoa found a small market area where she had a clear view of the spaceport entrance. Taking a seat on the bench, she watched the group of soldiers and then noticed who they were guarding. Lucius himself. She made no bother to call out to him, remaining silent and hidden

Eiger's head recoiled backwards as the barrel swung toward her. The protrusion had value, but not so much as that of a human. Instead, it was more of a camera post but that did little to change the intimidating effect of looking down a barrel. Eiger might be faster than the average citizen, but her strength had always been... strength. Eager, Eiger. She may have planned this poorly, swept up in the moment.

Bwamp, Bwamp. Eiger let out two low buzzing noises. Clearly it meant something was wrong or mistaken but Eiger could say no more on the subject. Instead she opted for something of a gamble. Stepping, slowly forward and tilting her head to the side a little, Eiger tried her best to look sheepish as she raised her left hand. Fingers beginning pointed skyward, Eiger beeped and gave a small wave, hoping that Jackie's pistol was unsuppressed and loud enough that she would not fire it in a public space.

(@Dxfoe I worry that I've backed us into an awkward spot here, so I'm not going to blame you if Jackie wants to blow the camera out of Eiger's 'face'. She'll be relatively fine and will catch up with jackie later)

( Ironrot Ironrot )

Jackie watched the mechanical being with hard eyes as it made a few low noises before cocking her head and waving. She was fully aware that this was not how bot were usually supposed to act, especially the kind of bot that stood in front of her. She narrowed her eyes slightly, though not dropping the gun back to her side. "You can't speak." She spoke plainly, rhetorically. She was well aware that firing her pistol in the middle of the city would cause panic, though nothing less than what she'd done earlier but this time the focus would actually be on her. "Don't move. Is there anyway you can communicate with me"

"Cap, what's happening?" Igneel looked a little worse for wear: definitely not at his peak, but still with the authority and grace of ten years prior. John was glad to finally see somebody who wouldn't rip his arms out.

Neither Lucius or his escort noticed the woman who was watching them. Although if they were to see her she would be welcomed with open arms. Lucius was eager to see his old comrades. He cared for them all deeply. Although he was younger than some he was practically the older brother figure to them all due to him having trained and watched over them, assigning missions and always steering them in the safest ways he could. As he waited he couldnt help but grin happily at the thought of seeing each of them again. He scanned the area around him as they waited at the landing bay he gave them access codes to. It was one of the nicer ones. One that would normally cost a fortune or require a high political or military status. The Mars civil protection authorities did a good job at keeping out the gangsters and riff-raff. Lucius who had subconsciously taken hold of the hilt of his sword yawned. He wasnt holding it in a defensive manner, it was more relaxed. As if he was using it as a arm rest.

Eiger pondered the question for a moment. It was something of an interesting puzzle. If Eiger had a face it would beam.

'Don't move' Jackie had said. So that eliminated out any signalling with limbs. It was a reasonable that any lights or sound would not void this rule. While Eiger's active sensors projected no end of signals none of them were within spectrums that an unaided human would be able to detect. That left the speaker as the final. But what encoding to use. base64 was the most efficient. But encoded on amplification or frequency of signal? Could Jackie even distinguish sounds with that accuracy. Morse code might be address a human better, but Jackie had no former military training that Eiger knew of.

Maybe this was the wrong approach. Eiger made a quiet hum as she ramped up the amplitude of her SONAR array. Sound was strong enough that at this close a distance Eiger could detect the little eddies caused by objects under Jackie's clothing that might help. Among other things there was a pair of either glassers or goggles. Light amp could be useful. If Eiger could communicate it for Jackie to wear them then she could project infrared onto a surface.

Eiger looked around the alleyway. Surely it should not be this dark. She was right. Above them there was a malfunctioning fluorescent tube light. Eiger raised a finger and pointed upwards. At the same time she used the ultraviolet laser of one of her LiDAR beacons to paint 'EIGER EIGER EIG' in while light across the phosphorous coated tube.

Eiger beeped for good measure.

Jackie watched at the bot attempted to figure out a way to communicate her intentions to her. It was clear that they had no form of communication other than the beeps which honestly wasn't that helpful. She watched at the bot began to paint the word Eiger multiple times on a tube. Eiger? Jackie racked her brain for the word. She knew she had heard it before though it had been years, but where had she heard it? Maybe it was the name of a client or an employer or maybe someone she'd just met in her job, or maybe.. There was no way this was the same Eiger from Fury. She was different, very different but it was the save bot if she looked hard enough. "God.. It is you. What the hell happened?" She lowered the pistol cautiously hoping her old teammate wouldn't hurt her.
