What We Left Behind Our F.U.T.U.R.E
In the year 2065 scientists began project 'F.U.T.U.R.E' a group of 12 children were chosen at random to become part of an experimental program to protect the future of the human race should nuclear war ever break out due to the high tensions around the world. They were all altered in some degree to make them better, stronger, faster or simply have an ability of use should the worst occur. Unfortunately such an event happened sooner than they had planned, receiving classified information of what was about to occur in a few days time the children, now young adults were stored in cryogenic chambers in a specialized bunker. Only now to wake up 300 years later to a world unlike anything they could have imagined. A land full of old remnants of civilization overgrown and taken back by hyper mutated and unusual animals without a another human to be found anywhere.

This is essentially an rp about experimentally altered superpowered 18-21 year olds thrust into a new world with no knowledge and the grand task of rebuilding what has been lost... but perhaps- that isn't what is right.
Weegal: A large non-hostile creature resembling that of a deer, they generally graze in herds in the grassy plains or deep woods. Each herd has one alpha who is clearly much bigger than the others. They are a tad skittish but will not fight unless provoked strongly or defending the group from a perceived threat.
Mantigray: A colossal creature that lurks in solitude or with its mate and young through the outskirts of forest areas, snowy mountains or desert oasis. They are a rarer species and despite their large stature are rather difficult to spot due to the ability to change their colors to blend into the surroundings. They are herbivores and scavenge for any nearby edible greenery. Aggressive only in mating season, otherwise pose no threat even when attacked.
Stomper: A spindly strange carnivorous creature living mainly in jungle like areas or its smaller counterpart in caves. They are completely blind but sense their prey through scent and vibrations, they feast on anything that can fit in their large jaws. They have a pair of fang like apparatus on their faces that can secret a hormone causing sleepiness in those close-by.
Skimer: A small flighted creature roughly the size of a fruit bat. They have near perfect vision and the ability to glow in the dark, being mainly nocturnal they have a poison tip at the end of their tail lethal to their prey. Its toxin however is harmless to anything of a certain size. They travel in spare groups, even though you may only see one others will almost always be nearby. They are quite intelligent and will interact with other friendly creatures for their own amusement, even aiding them in navigation to safe areas.
Perpatrix: A creature resembling that of a harpy, its body is twisted into constantly curved legs and wings for arms. They travel in isolation or small groups of 2-6. They can produce an ear splitting scream to disorientate their prey and hunt decent sized mammals along with eating various fruits. They are unpredictable in terms of hostility however are fearful of fire. Their skin is very frail but their feathers are akin to that of razor like steel.
Igoonas: A small water dwelling partial amphibian partial mammal. About the size of a small cat. Covered in a thin layer of non-toxic slime to help hydrate their bodies when moving out of the bodies of liquid they reside in. They live off the algae and fish in their homes and are curious but very fearful, if startled they have three rows of tiny needle like teeth capable of giving a nasty bite if provoked. They generally live in varying group sizes dependent on how large the water source is. It is actually their presence in the ponds and lakes that makes the water safe to drink.
Grengas: A desert dwelling creature roughly the size of a large horse. They are old-blooded and rely on sun-basking to keep up body temperatures and are extremely aggressive to both their own species any any others who enter their territory. They have extremely strong and versatile tails able to inflict serious damage when swung along with sharp claws laced in a slow acting paralyzing venom.
Oakrill: A large creature ranging from the size of a tiger to that of an elephant. They hunt in trios and are extremely swift, able to rush through densely built terrain with ease. They hunt mainly in the early morning and evening, sleeping throughout most of the day and night. Though they can be aggressive they are very food focused and easily distracted loud noises. Their bodies appear as that of a fallen tree allowing them to stalk their prey undetected. They are an important part of the ecosystem with many smaller mammals and bugs relying on them for food scraps and a place to live within their bark like scales.
