An Introduction
The content below may be hard to understand; if it is, I apologize. Additionally, if this does become an role-play, it will be advanced. This means at least three paragraphs per post of 5-8 sentences, minimum. This may seem like a lot, but really, this is supposed to be a challenge! |
The post below is rather lengthy and may cause slow loading speeds. I apologize if it does. |
This role-play will be very dice reliant. Don't like dice? Then don't look below. Just go ahead and walk away now |
Note;; If you have a question, feel free to PM me with it! I don't mind answer questions.
General Rules
1. All of RpN's rules apply. If you have not familiarize yourself with these yet, please do so
here.
2. You must follow all posting guidelines. This role-play will have a three strike system; you get two chances, and on the third strike, you're out!
3. We will be following a posting order. Failing to post within 5 days of your turn start, without a valid reason, will result in an immediate expulsion. If you PM me a valid reason, then your turn will be skipped or I will post for you.
4. You must post at least three paragraphs, consisting of 5-8 sentences each. I understand writers block; if you have it, then PM me and I will help you fluff up your post. I like description, I like it when you delve into your characters mind. If you need to, describe that rock next to your characters foot.
5. We are supposed to have fun with this; stay civil! If need be, take arguments to PM; do not spam OOC with your bickering. If things get too bad, request my assistance.
6. I will not tolerate any sort of bunnying/gary or mary sue characters/ anything along those lines. Period.
7. If you are collaborating with somebody, please tell me so that I don't think there is bunnying or other types of rule breaking going on.
8. I will not accept any sort of pictures; descriptions only. These characters need to be unique to you.
Character Creation
The first thing you will notice when you make your character sheet is modifiers. These are values - which are always in percentages - that either increase or decrease your stat values. Stat values decide how high your characters strength, defense, etc. are. How they will work is actually quite simple; first off all, you take your base stats and multiply them by your multiplier.
If your multiplier was +3%, then you would multiply your base {{We'll use 1}} by .03. Then, simply add your base statistic to this new value; your result would be 3.09. If you have more than one modifier for each statistic value, then use the system below.
Helm - +3% Spirit
Shoulders - +3% Spirit
Base Statistic - 23
Base Statistic + Helm = 23 x .03 {{.69}}; add these together and you get 23.69.
Then, multiply 23.69 times .03 and add 23.69! {{Which is 24.4007}}
If you get a value like above, then you will round up by the tenth position; making this value 24.
If the number is four or under, your value stays the same. If your value is 5 to 9, then you go up by one.
ALL CHARACTERS START AT LEVEL ONE; MODIFIERS START TO TAKE EFFECT AT LEVEL 10.
The first thing about creating your character is races. Each race has their own modifier that slightly dictates what they can and cannot do. All skills and classes can be used by all races, but applying skills that correspond with your characters strengths can make for easier progress.
All statistics start out at 1 except for life, which starts out at 10.
Types of statistics -
Spirit, Magic, Defense, Strength, Stealth, Speed, Intelligence,
- Human
{{+10% Spirit}}{{-10% Magic}}
The human is the most basic of all races; it is what you and I are. Capable of both creation and destruction in great amounts, they are known for being foolish but being able to push through the most harrowing situation. While they do not excel in strength, they do not lack in it either. Among the other races, they are considered loud and clumsy. - Harpy
{{+10% Speed}}{{-10% Mechanical}}
The harpy race is known as an angry and unsocial rank. The have no arms; instead, they are replaced with wings. They can fly up into the air and for short distances, and have taloned feet. They are fast and react quickly to situations, but their skills with weapons and equipment are lacking. Their hair is often infused with feathers and crests that stretch down their backs. - Dwarf
{{+10% Mechanical}}{{-10% Speed}}
The dwarves are the masters of mechanics, mining, and roamers of the cave. They are extremely hard workers despite their short statures and are one of the most truthful races out there. They make up for their lack in height with their excellence in all things mechanical. They reach up to 5 feet in height, and often have stocky builds. - Titan
{{+10% Defense OR +10% Strength}}{{-10% Intelligence}}
The titan is a monster race that is defined by their overall toughness. They are not extremely intelligent but they are not the bumbling fools that may others perceive them to be. They make excellent tanks, able to sustain extreme amounts of damage. Their base life is 15 instead of 10. These humanoid creatures are often darker in skin tone, ranging from darker browns to dark grey, and reach up to 10 feet in height. - Conjurer
{{+10% Magic}}{{-10% Spirit}}
A very humanoid appearing race whose only distinguishing feature is the fact that their eyes are one solid color. They do not possess the spirit that the regular humans do; if they see something is near impossible, then they might just give up. Their prowess is in their ability to conform magic forms to their will; with practice, they may become great mages. - Monk
{{+10% Strength}}{{-10% Defense}}
The master of martial arts and all things related - humanoid but not actually human. The differential is their body structure, with bones more numerous and flexible as well as more stretchable joints. They thrive in physical, and mental training. They are determined, but are known for their sharp tongues. While their reflexes are quick, they tend not to wear much armor, which can leave their defense now. Their slim builds and tall statures make for a more fragile body type. - Loft Fairy
{{+10% Stealth}}{{-10% Strength}}
The loft fairy is the stealthiest of the races. They lack wings - which contradicts their name 'fairy' - but are able to muster small charms that make them less visible. They can easily fit into small spaces due to their short height and rather scrawny bodies. They are normally shorter than the dwarves and use their quiet feet to commit stealth kills. Weaker than most races, but they know how to make their kills count.
- Human
