RAPTURE_RETRANSITION.jpg

Welcome to Rapture, a realm that has existed in the void between universe for countless eons. Originally inaccessible and completely cutoff from the rest of the multiverse, an event known as the Transition brought thousands of beings, entities, and even landmasses to the realm, translocated onto the once-barren worlds of the realm. Its new inhabitants began to form functioning societies in the years that followed since their arrival.

Rapture is a single solar system consisting of three planets: Exodus, Egress, and Diaspora.

EXODUS

  • Exodus is a planet located right in between Egress and Diaspora. It is a world that is not overly hostile, yet not overly peaceful. While hostile entities roam the planet, its residents also live in relative peace, and are mostly free do do as they please. The planet is home to a variety of powerful organisations which have managed to establish functioning governments. The planet's geology is very similar to Earth.

NORTH

  • A frigid and frozen region near Exodus' north pole.
  • This region houses the province of Skyrim (The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim), with the Civil War won in favour of the Imperials. The dragon population has generally made peace with the local population as a result of the Dragonborn's actions after the defeat of Alduin.
  • The kingdoms of Hoshido and Nohr (Fire Emblem: Fates) are located in close proximity. A truce has been made between the two kingdoms due to their current situation.
  • Next to Skyrim lies the small Himalayan country of Kyrat (Far Cry 4). Unlike the province it borders, Kyrat is embroiled in a state of civil war between the forces of the country's egomaniacal dictator Pagan Min and Golden Path rebels.
  • Further down is Chernarus (ArmA 2). This Eastern European post-Soviet country is heavily forested.
  • The Zone (S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) lies next to Chernarus. This area houses the ruins of the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant and the city of Pripyat. Reality is warped and twisted in the Zone, with dangerous Anomalies that can either kill you or benefit you in some way scattered around, along with valuable Artifacts. Stalkers call this place their home.
  • The land between these locations is mostly barren, though there are several settlements in between, both inhabited and long-abandoned.
SOUTH

  • A forested region with a more tropical climate, though the areas past the equator are more temperate.
  • The Canopy Kingdom (Skullgirls) lies in this region. The vibrant and prosperous kingdom is a one of the many jewels of this land.
  • Bordering the Canopy Kingdom are the savanna plains of Amerish (PlanetSide 2). Formerly a site of constant and unending war, the forces of the Terran Republic, New Conglomerate, and Vanu Sovereignty have entered an uneasy truce since their arrival. This area is rich in the resource known as cortium, which is used by the ex-residents of Auraxis to rapidly construct structures via nanites.
  • Next to Banoi are the Rook Islands (Far Cry 3). These lush islands are infested with pirates and privateers, along with the deadly native wildlife. Pirates and privateers often venture into the oceans to kidnap civilians and hold them for ransom, if they are not killed by the hostile aquatic creatures first. The Rakyat Tribe lives on these islands, and fight the pirates.
  • In the middle of the ocean, supported by a series of struts is Mother Base (Metal Gear Solid V). This offshore oil rig functions as the base of operations of the mercenary unit known as the Diamond Dogs.

EAST

  • An incredibly hostile region mainly consisting of deserts and dry plains.
  • The barren and rocky area known as the Dust (Borderlands 2) is located in this area. Roving gangs of bandits who race around in modified vehicles roam this area. The city-ship Sanctuary (Borderlands 2) hovers above this area.
  • In the middle of the rolling dunes and sandstorms of the Eastern Desert are the ruins of Dubai (Spec Ops: The Line). The grand city home to many oil tycoons has been ravaged by sandstorms and is slowly getting buried underneath the sand. The Damned 33rd Infantry Battalion, the CIA, and Insurgents are at each other's throats trying to survive, with civilians caught in the crossfire.
  • Blood Gulch (Red vs Blue). These curious two identical bases in a box canyon in the middle of nowhere was once home to the Red and Blue Teams of Project Freelancer, but they have since left, leaving their homes (and pointless bickering) behind.
  • The wretched hive of scum and villainy known as Mos Eisley (Star Wars) is located here, a haven for criminals and undesirables alike. This lawless spaceport is a dangerous place indeed, but if you're looking to hire someone to do your dirty work or make some easy money, this is the place to go to.
  • The Wastelands (Fallout). Irradiated ruins of Boston, Washington D.C., and the Mojave demolished by nuclear armageddon, mutant creatures and hostile raiders wander the wastes, picking on honest wastelanders trying to make a living. This area is dominated by the Brotherhood of Steel, the Minutemen, the New California Republic, and Caesar's Legion.
  • The Headquarters (Planetary Annihilation) of Commander Vortex and his army. The location he landed in, his base has grown into a titanic fortress dedicated to the development, production, and deployment of his units. The base is absolutely lined with defenses, with thousands of turrets lining the perimeter, artillery cannons deeper inside, and energy walls keeping intruders out, with anti-nuke launchers protecting the base from nuclear strikes. Below lies a vast network of tunnels, while Anchor defence platforms stay in geosynchronous orbit. Hundreds of factories churn out an endless amount of troops on a daily basis, thanks to Vortex's nanofabrication technology.
  • A fair distance from the headquarters of the Vortex Syndicate is the Cheyenne Mountain (Terminator) complex, the main base of Skynet. The mountain has been hollowed out, reinforced and armoured. The cold, gleaming structure houses Skynet's Central Core Installation. Guarded around the clock by Phased Plasma Arrays and Terminator units, it is incredibly well-protected and nigh-impenetrable. Similar to Vortex, this facility churns out a countless number of troops, thanks to Skynet managing to capture and reverse-engineer Vortex's nanofabrication tech.
  • The area in between the two automated fortresses is a barren and empty wasteland, the battlefield of the war between the two mechanical armies. This area has the ruins of a city, now unrecognisable as its its buildings have been burnt to metal skeletons. Robotic war machines battle each other in an endless conflict. Plasma fire and explosions light up the battlefield at all times, and the sound of battle can be heard for miles.
WEST

  • By far the most developed region. Most of the intact, functioning, and populated cities were transitioned here.
  • Close to the equator is the port city of New Mombasa (Halo). This massive, cosmopolitan city functions as a centre for trade across the nations. It is also home to Exodus' only working space elevator.
  • The coastal city of Vale (RWBY) is located here. This large city is home to numerous Hunters and Huntresses, elite warriors with supernatural fighters dedicated to combating the creatures of darkness known as the Grimm that spawn in the surrounding forests. The combat school known as Beacon Academy is located not too far from here, and the giant floating Colosseum known as the Amity Colosseum floats above this location, host to the 40th Vytal Festival. It is Exodus' most recent addition, with its residents thrown into disarray and panic due to the murder of a participant during the tourney and subsequent cyber-attack on networks, hijacked by a terror group.
  • Off the coast lies Tatsumi Port Island. This small island houses several key points of interest such as Gekkoukan High School,
  • Not too far away from Vale is the unassuming town of Suburbia (Plants vs. Zombies). This small town has remained relatively unnoticed for some time.
  • Nearby is the city of Opportunity (Borderlands 2). This immaculate and almost perfect city built by Hyperion mostly to fuel its CEO Handsome Jack's ego may have been a shining utopia were it not for its generally oppressed citizens and brutal punishments for even the smallest crime.
  • The floating city of Columbia (BioShock Infinite) hangs high above in the sky, shifting from place to place. This patriotic city may look like an American utopia, but it is hiding a darker side underneath its shining exterior. The city produces Vigors that give their users supernatural powers such as the ability to summon a murder of crows or shoot lightning out of their hands.
  • The Peninsula (The Forest) lies at the very bottom. This Boreal Forest is home to violent cannibals, horrific mutants, and more mundane wildlife. The abandoned Sahara Research Laboratory is located deep underground, where more mutants and ancient supernatural Obelisks.

ABOVE

  • On the moon itself is the Bunker (Nier: Automata). The Bunker is the headquarters of the automated infantry squad, YoRHa. From here, the Commander sends down orders to the YoRHa units through Pod transmissions, as well as drops down support materials and weapons.
  • Orbiting the moon is Helios (Borderlands 2), Hyperion's space station. This orbital installation is capable of launching weapons fire at the planet and deploying Loaders straight into battle.
  • A massive number of satellites orbits Exodus. The Vortex Syndicate operates a massive Shipyard capable of churning out large numbers of orbital units.

EGRESS

Far more peaceful, civilised, and built-up than Exodus, Egress is home to large number of governing entities who oversee the functions of not just the planet itself, but the whole of Rapture. While it is true that this planet is unified, its political climate is incredibly hostile. Egress is slightly smaller than Exodus and has a similar climate and geology, though land covers more area than water.

NORTH

  • Similar to Exodus' Northern regions, this area is frigid and cold.
  • The furthest up north is Echo Base (Star Wars). This fortified military installation has been carved into a glacier, with trenches lined with gun emplacements snaking through the snow outside, and a network of structurally-supported artificial corridors and natural caverns lining its insides. The base is protected by a shield generator, protecting it from orbital bombardments.
  • Far away from the frigid poles and towards the frozen tundra are the Misty Mountains (Lord of the Rings). This vast mountain range stretches all the way from the North to South of Egress, and this natural barrier shields the other side from the polar winds.
  • Towards the eastern reaches of the North is the continent of Westeros (Game of Thrones). This long continent stretches all the way from the North to South of Egress, and has a varied climate. This continent is home to numerous Houses, all vying for the Iron Throne.
  • Well-hidden in the moorlands and foothills of the Misty Mountains is the sheltered Elven town of Rivendell (Lord of the Rings). This picturesque settlement is located at the edge of a narrow gorge of the river Bruinen, which flows through the region.
  • Deep inside a snowy taiga is the Schnee Manor (RWBY), a massive palace of a home fit for the billionaire Schnee Family. While rather isolated, this structure is vast enough to be seen from the air.

SOUTH

  • A warmer and more forested region containing numerous forested areas.
  • The Halidom of Ylisse (Fire Emblem). This peaceful and tranquil country lies towards the cooler region. While it disdains war and conflict, it maintains a small standing army.
  • Hyrule borders Ylisse and shares most of its land with its neighbour after it was transitioned. This beautiful and prosperous land is blessed with deep forests, tall mountains, vast lakes, a barren desert, great cities, villages, and many ancient temples hidden throughout.
  • Next to Hyrule is the Mushroom Kingdom (Super Mario Bros.). This land is filled with grassy plains and rolling hills, along with crystal-clear lakes.
  • Further down is the city of Zawame (Kamen Rider). This large city is very built-up and urbanised, the unmistakable figure of the Yggdrasil Tower looming taller than every other building.
  • Off the coast is the island nation of Altis (ArmA 3). This tiny island nation is home to several thousand people who live in scattered villages and small cities. Its climate consists of particularly strong winds and average temperatures, and mild winters with the occasional seasonal snowfall.

EAST

  • An arid area comprised of deserts and dry plains.
  • The Province of Hammerfell (The Elder Scrolls) takes up a large area of the East. This vast expanse is covered by vast mountain ranges, grasslands, and deserts. The desolate Alik'r Desert is one of Hammerfell's most well-known regions, taking up a large fraction of the province. The Redguards, a race of men known for being cunning warriors and skilled swordsmen originate from here.
  • A sizable portion of the isolated desert planet of Jakku (Star Wars) makes up the rest of the East. This area is filled woth rolling sand dunes and barren rock, along with various wrecks of long-abandoned structures and vehicles. The wreck of the Inflictor, a crashed Star Destroyer, is especially prominent, half-buried in the sand but stretching into the sky. Roving bandit gangs frequently roam the sands.

WEST

  • Generally more temperate and urban than the other regions, the West is the political centre for Egress.
  • The Jedi Temple (Star Wars), along with a large portion of Coruscant, was transitioned to the very heart of the West. Home to the Jedi Order, the Jedi work as peacekeepers and commanders, and hold significant political power. The city-sized chunk of Coruscant is overseen by the Galactic Senate, headed by Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine. It is also the largest urban area on Egress.
  • The District Court is located in Coruscant, and it is where justice is dished out a trials are taken. It is where many defense attorneys and prosecutors operate, and functions as the international court of justice for all of Egress.
  • The town of Springfield (The Simpsons) is located next to Coruscant. This town is known as one of the worst in the nation, being heavily polluted and radioactive, due to its nuclear power plant having been built following more lax regulations.
  • Built in the middle of the ocean are the Cloning Facility (Star Wars) of Kamino. This facility produces a clone troopers for the former Grand Army of the Republic, grown from the genetic template of the late bounty hunter Jango Fett. The clone troopers grown in this facility mostly work as security personnel and guards for the cities of Egress, with most stationed around the Jedi Temple. Other than that, Kaminoan scientists provide much research from their labs.
ABOVE

  • The forest moon of Endor orbits the planet. Heavily forested and dotted with tall mountains and savannas, it is home to the primitive and adorable-looking but deceptively lethal Ewoks, having made settlements among the massive trees.
  • A large number of satellites orbits the planet, providing reliable communication services to the inhabitants of Egress.
  • Egress' defence fleet comprised of warships of various spacefaring factions such as the Galactic Republic, Citadel Council, and United Natiions Space Commands orbits the planet, protetcing it at all times.
BETWEEN EXODUS AND EGRESS

  • The colossal space station known as the Citadel (Mass Effect) lies in interplanetary space between the two worlds. This artificial installation serves as the capital of the Citadel Council, made up of a collection of races. It is home to several million people, and each of its arms, known as Wards, is a city by itself containing a breathable atmosphere. The Citadel functions as a trading port between Exodus and Egress, being easily accessible for those with access to spaceflight. It is rich with stores and merchants offering all kinds of goods and services and is rife with vibrant 'nightlife'. However, it also attracts illegal activity such as criminal gangs and mercenary organisations.

DIASPORA

The very definition of a death world. This planet is where monsters, demons, and everything in between were dumped, ranging from lethal Xenomorphs to fear-hunting Grimm. It is also host to many hostile locations such as Tiberium fields and hellish landscapes. The overall geology of Diaspora is raked by jagged cliffs, ravines, and mountains, not to mention lakes of fire and volcanoes, the sky always a shade of deathly red. Hostile creatures of every kind roam the surface and the depths below. No one can live here, and it is off-limits to the inhabitants of Rapture. Yet many adventurers, either brave or utterly foolish, travel to this world in droves, lured by promises of riches. Not many survive longer than their first day.

NORTH

  • A myriad of locations that appeared to have been spontaneously mashed together in a strange, surreal floating plane lies here, overrun by zombies. This realm is simply known as Revelations (Nazi Zombies). This so-called 'perfect world' has been corrupted by the Apothicons, former members of an ancient order of mystical creatures known as the Keepers. The laws of reality are warped here, but treasures such as weapons, collectibles, and of course, Gobblegums can be found here.
  • Not too far away is the wreck of the Ishimura (Dead Space). The half-destroyed wreckage of the colossal planet cracker is infested with creatures known as Necromorphs, reanimated corpses twisted into horrible abominations.
  • Underground is an as-of-yet unidentified Necron Tomb (Warhammer 40,000). Hundreds upon thousands of the robotic bodies of the Necrons lay dormant, waiting to be awoken to reclaim what was once theirs.
  • Sitting only a short distance away from the coast is the abandoned Soviet-era island research facility known as Katorga-12 (Singularity). This island was the scene of a horrific accident that destroyed a large amount of the central buildings and caused a time anomaly known as the Singularity to appear in the middle, characterised by a massive plume of spiralling energy that stretched into dark clouds above. Many hostile mutants call this place home.
SOUTH

  • Xenomorph Hives (Alien) stretch across this region, constructed by pitch-black gelatinous resin known as Hive webbing. Highly aggressive creatures known as Xenomorphs populate this area and compete with other lifeforms for dominance and food. The Queen nests here, constantly laying eggs to ensure the survival of the species.
  • Flood Hives (Halo) also spread across the area. These hives produce parasitic lifeforms known as the Flood, which are highly aggressive. They are constantly battling the aforementioned Xenomorphs for dominance.
  • A barren wasteland, with rocky terrain and enormous purple crystals sprouting from the ground with the sky stained a dark red known as the Grimmlands (RWBY) lie here. Hostile creatures that feed on negative emotion known as Grimm spawn here. This area is also home to Salem, the Queen of Grimm.
  • The fields of glowing green crystalline minerals known as Tiberium (Command and Conquer) are ubiquitous throughout the region, and just about everywhere else, though they are most concentrated here. These minerals are incredibly valuable, able to power entire armies and devastating weapons. Tiberium is lethal to carbon-based life, causing death and mutation. Primitive, Tiberium-based lifeforms known as visceroids wander aimlessly through the fields.
EAST

  • The Glowing Sea (Fallout 4), merged with the Divide (Fallout: New Vegas) takes up much of this region. These locations were ground zero of a nuclear strike, and is thus filled with lethal radiation. Only mutated life can be found here, and maybe a few insane atom-worshipping cultists. Various treasures from the bygone pre-war era can be found scattered around.
  • The Moscow Metro (Metro 2033), a vast underground subway system that also functions as a bomb shelter can be found hidden beneath the surface. Survivors of a nuclear war fled here and survived for years. Unfortunately, most of the Moscow population has been killed after the transition. Yet some still live, the last bastions of life
  • Also known as the 'Prison of Sloth' or the 'Prison of Regression', Mementos (Persona) was once an underground railway system the leads deeper and deeper underground in the Metaverse Tokyo that houses creatures known as 'Shadows'. It may not look like a prison at first, but finding the depths would change your mind...

WEST

  • With its perpetually setting sun and gorgeous architecture, the city of Anor Londo (Dark Souls) will take your breath away upon your first sight of it, but don't be fooled by its apparent tranquility. This vast city is host to demons and enemies, not to mention the dreaded Invaders.
  • The former capital city of Massachusetts, Boston (The Last of Us), is located nearby. Once a heavily populated, bustling city, Boston has been transformed into an abandoned ghost town reclaimed by nature in the wake of the cordyceps brain infection. Humans who have been infected and mutated by the fungus into hostile zombie-like creatures known as the Infected roam the city, looking for prey.

NATHANIEL RENKO

KATORGA-12, 2010

"This is it. This is where we set history right again." Doctor Viktor Barisov stated, standing in front of the swirling mass of orange energy. "Use the TMD on the Singularity to open a rift to 1955, then destroy the reactor with the E-99 Bomb. Once the Singularity is destroyed, the truth of history will be restored." He gestured to the Singularity. "Go on now, captain, and good work."

Captain Nathaniel Renko, sole survivor of a US special forces group sent to investigate a massive surge of electromagnetic energy from the forgotten Soviet-era island of Katorga-12 and the man who had unwittingly altered the timeline by saving a certain scientist after getting caught in an explosion that sent him back to 1955, glanced upwards towards the spiraling column of energy that sprouted into a circling mass of darkened clouds up above. Staring at it for a moment longer, he turned to Barisov and nodded, before wordlessly stepping towards the reactor.

Once there, he closed his eyes, silently recalling how he got this far. He recounted the events of the past day. The crash, him going back in time and changing history, fighting through hordes of mutants and Soviet soldiers alike, and travelling through time multiple times.

Had it truly only been a single day? It felt like forever since his arrival.

Opening his eyes with renewed vigour, he activated the Time Manipulation Device on his left arm. The device had been constructed by Doctor Barisov. Powered by the mystical element known as E-99, it had the ability to alter an object's time state. It was said that whoever hold the TMD, controls the world. It was the Hand of God.

And now, Renko had a job to do.

He stuck his arm out towards the reactor and activated the TMD, the device glowing a fierce blue. Instantly, a white beam of energy that spiralled and snaked around shot from his palm and connected to the centre of the reactor.

The effects were immediate. A translucent field suddenly covered the machine as the Singularity began to glow an intense white as a massive amount of wind was generated.

And then, all of a sudden, it exploded into a blinding flash.

===== =====

SINGULARITY LABS, KATORGA-12
NOVEMBER 12TH, 1955

Renko reappeared in the same place, fifty years in the past. The area was different this time, with the whole room being intact along with the reactor. The Soviet Hammer and Sickle covered the room. He took out the E-99 Bomb he had retrieved from the Pearl.

"What was that?" A scientist behind the captain asked.

"There's someone in the chamber!" A second shouted, alarmed.

Renko did not turn as he carefully placed the spherical device onto the cooker.

"That's impossible..." The first looked closer. "You're right!"

Renko took his hands off. The bomb began to beep faster and faster.

"Quick, open the doors! We have to get him out of there!"

He took a step back.

"No, stop! He's got a bomb!"

Panels on the bomb unfolded, revealing a miniature sun contained within it. The area around it glowed orange as energy swirled around it.

"E-99 Bomb!"

It began to whine as the glow intensified.

"EVERYONE OUT!"

A second later, it detonated. Renko raised his arms to shield his face as the flash of white light sent him back.

===== =====

Renko stumbled slightly as he found himself back on the platform in 2010. Yet oddly enough, nothing seemed to have changed. The facility looked as destroyed as it always had been, and the reactor was still on, bathing the room in a shade of orange. Confused, he glanced around, trying to know why.

His eyes widened when he heard a similar deep chuckle coming from behind him. Renko spun around to see Chancellor Nikolai Demichev holding a kneeling Barisov at gunpoint. Renko had saved the man years ago after getting caught in a time shift, back when he was the head researcher. Saving him meant that Renko had unwittingly changed the course of history and allowed Demichev to take over the world with the use of Katorga-12's E-99. He balled his hands into fists.

"Have fun on your trip down memory lane, captain?" Demichev asked. "You look surprised. All that effort to destroy the Singularity when all I had to do was simply rebuild it." He took a step forwards and stuck his hand out. "Now, give me the TMD."

"Don't, Renko!" Barisov cried. "We're missing something, but we can figure it out! We can still set things right—"

He was silenced by Demichev whipping him in the face with the barrel of his gun.

"Only the victors rewrite the history books." The chancellor growled. He turned to Renko and raised his gun. "And you... lost!"

Renko, however, was faster. He pulled out his own Centurion and pulled the trigger. It his Demichev in the shoulder, knocking him to the ground.

"Only the victors rewrite the history books..." Muttered Barisov, suddenly realising something. "That's it!" He cried as his eyes lit up and he shakily got to his feet. "The Singularity is not the problem, you went back in time and saved Demichev from dying in the burning building, remember?"

Renko nodded. When he went back to the present after saving Demichev, everything had changed. The facility looked even more worse for wear, and the statues and monuments of Stalin and Lenin had been replaced by that of Demichev.

"He's what you changed! He's what you have to change back! You cannot let Demichev live."

Demichev coughed. "It won't work." He groaned. "You've already tried that... and failed." He sat up. "Don't you remember who else was there, Captain Renko?"

The captain remembered. All the chronolight writings he had uncovered during his journey. He didn't know who was responsible for writing them, however.

What if this is supposed to happen?

He started it all

Mir-12 is wrong

We've tried already

Barisov has it wrong

He is coming

He suddenly realised. He remembered. When he had Demichev on his back and when he was walked down a burning hallway, he heard someone yelling his name, someone in front of him, behind the burning wall.

"Renko, stop! Don't let Demichev live!"

"That other man... was you." Demichev revealed, almost like he had known all along.

"He's right, captain!" Barisov cried. "You are the anomaly! Which means the only way to correct the timeline is for you to stop yourself!"

"You mean kill himself?" Demichev asked, incredulous. "You're asking a man to sacrifice himself for something you've been mistaken about how many times now? I'm not sure you are a reliable authority, Barisov."

"Renko, don't listen to him!" Pleaded Barisov. "You can save the world."

"So you say." Demichev remarked dryly. "But captain, think about what you were before all of this, thrown in the hive." He slowly got to his feet, clutching his bullet wound. "I can offer you a whole other life. Things you can only imagine, at your fingertips. Give me the TMD, and help rule the world."

"Is this a world you want to be part of, Renko?" Barisov asked. "Look around you! Look at all this suffering this man has caused!"

"No visionary leader is without his critics." Demichev said dismissively.

"Renko, he is not a leader!" Barisov cried. "He's a mass murderer! A dictator! You must stop him at all costs! Use the TMD on the Singularity, travel back in time, and kill yourself!"

"That sounds like an attractive offer." Demichev chuckled humourlessly. "Or, you can prove your loyalty to me by killing Barisov, and I will grant you unlimited power."

He stood up straight. "Make your choice, captain."

Renko glanced at his gun, then back at the two. Right now, he was torn in between. What if the messages were right? What if another version of himself had killed his past self and made the world even worse? What if Barisov wasn't what he seemed? What if he himself was wrong. He couldn't even trust himself. He raised his gun and made his choice.

With a single trigger pull, Demichev fell to the floor, a hole in between his eyes.

"My god, he's dead." Barisov muttered in awe. He turned to Renko. "Captain, you just killed the most powerful man in the world!" He glanced at the body and shook his head. "This changes nothing. To correct history, you must go back in time and stop yourself from saving Demichev in the burning building.

Renko nodded. He knew what he had to do. Turning back the the reactor, he once again charged up his TMD and activated it.

===== =====
He found himself back in the burning hallway, the same place an alternate version of himself had been. He looked around, seeing that he was trapped here.

Not like he was going to make it out, anyway.

The door to the hallway was kicked open in front of him, and he saw him. A past version of himself carrying the form of Demichev on his back.

It was almost surreal, really. To see himself doing the exact same things and exact same actions as he did before. Renko was mesmerised for a second, until he realised what he was supposed to be doing.

He raised his gun, took aim, and fired.

The other Renko collapsed to the ground, lifeless.

The living Renko stood frozen. He'd just killed himself. He watched himself die.

He felt a burning pain in his chest, the same place he'd shot himself. Groaning, he collapsed to the floor. And yet he was smiling, even as the life faded from his body and his vision turned to white.

===== =====

Diaspora South
Captain Renko awoke with a start, shooting upright. His vision was blurry, and there was a ringing in his ears. He blinked a few times and inhaled. The air smelled like ash and fire, and a hint of death. He blinked again and looked around, slowly regaining his bearings.

The sky was red. That was new. It was orange before. Also, he seemed to be on a barren dirt with a bit of grass. There was a jagged rocky surface nearby with cracks here and there. Some of the cracks spewed fire. Renko sniffed once, his nose getting irritated by the ash. This place was very definitely hell. Or purgatory. Or some shit like that. He didn't know.

That sucked.

He noticed that his AR9 Valkyrie assault rifle and trusty Volk S4 shotgun were lying next to him. Fully loaded as well, it seemed. He reached for them and noticed that the TMD was also securely attached to his arm, glowing orange as always, powered by E-99. Inspecting it for a while, he picked up his guns and got to his feet.

Looking around once again, he decided to call out, to see if there was anyone else around. "Hello?" He cried. "Anyone there?"

There was some movement behind some rocks. Narrowing his brows, Renko cautiously moved towards the source, shotgun at the ready.

A black mass suddenly exploded out of the rocks. Renko's combat reflexes kicked in, and he rolled to the side, just in time to dodge whatever the hell just tried to attack him. Getting back to his feet, he saw just what exactly the mass was.

It appeared to be a massive wolf-life creature, with white spikes of bone protruding out of several areas. It was also wearing some kind of bone mask with odd decals. Plus, its eyes were glowing an evil red.

latest

"Ah, great. Hell demons." Renko muttered and cocked his shotgun. The creature roared and charged forwards.

Renko, meanwhile, merely activated his TMD, a glowing blue ball of energy appearing in his palm. When the creature was mere metres away, he launched it forwards. The sphere hit the creature in the chest and instantly expanded into a translucent dome of chrono energy, freezing the creature in place. Renko took the opportunity to snap up his shotgun and fire at the deadlocked enemy.

The autoloading E-99-enhanced shotgun was built to deliver massive damage for close range tactical combat, and it clearly showed. 12-gauge buckshot was launched from the barrel, each pellet freezing the moment it had come into contact with the sphere. Renko emptied his magazine and then snapped his fingers.

The sphere collapsed, and time resumed in the space. Every single pellet continued their trajectory and simultaneously hit the beowolf square in the head, practically causing it to explode. It was killed instantly, dropping to the ground. Renko stepped towards it to inspect the corpse.

But a second later, the body suddenly seemed to disappear into a cloud of smoke that drifted away.

Renko was quite surprised. "Interesting."

[INCOMING CALL]
Operator 6O to 2B: Time for your regularly scheduled contact! Nothing to report but could you give me any info on this? The area you are heading to has extremely high energy readings and all of the scout class androids that we've sent have turned out missing. We are sending you to investigate if there are any threats responsible for their disappearance. Odds are that it's a massive machine lifeform like that time we fought that giant fish with the lasers. If it comes to that you'll need to call in backup, The 24th squadron, which is on standby. Anyway, for now, I need you to do some recon. Before I go we managed to outfit your flight unit with a few weapons, a couple of lasers here and there with the standard dual Gatling guns and lock-on rocket but unfortunately, your designated pod is still in for maintenance after the 'Attrition' with A2. Anyway Godspeed 2B.

She woke up laying on some rocks. Getting out of her flight unit she picked herself up "flight unit.remain in the air and look around" looking around things looked barren and the grass was dry...Wait what was that smell? Fire? 200 metres away a few houses were on fire. limping towards the burning village only to find a man with a shotgun. Quickly she recoils and hides around the corner.

Deadpool, Diaspora South

"You could have started me in a nice relaxing city, with a cocktail in one hand and a very fine woman in the other. But no you start me a hell planet!" Deadpool said yelling at the red skies of Diaspora.

Look Deadpool this is where you're supposed to start.

"No this is where your first character is supposed to start. You could have made someone else first and then I could have come in later. But instead I was first and now one stuck on almost literal hell." Deadpool said, continuing to complain to the sky.

I'll make sure you get some fun equipment later. Just play along for now and go find others who appeared on this world.

"Fine, but you better get some fun weapons later Ghosty, or I'll be coming for you" Deadpool threat to the sky. After his discussion with the sky, Deadpool began walking south when he started hearing a shotgun going off. "That sounds like fun," Deadpool said drawing his katanas with a spin like motion before running to the sound. When arrived though there was only a man standing there. "Hey, buddy, where's the party? I heard a shotgun go off, then I ran here and then there's nobody to shoot or stab. What's the deal with getting my hopes up?" Deadpool said sheathing his katanas.

Zack, Exousia Capitol Planet

Zack was in an alleyway in a large city covered by snow from its eternal winter, he looked out into the street to quickly check for the military police he was trying to escape, "Okay it looks like I lost them. I still can't believe they didn't believe me in court, I guess it might sound a little ludicrous to have accidentally put down and activated a Mobile Nuclear Explosive." As he sat down to rest after his long chase, a group of military police came around the corner equipped with laser weapons and mechs. Zack cursed under his breath and continued in his run, eventually he was able to reach for his mask, "Okay Lathos if there was ever a time I needed to be sent to a random dimension it's now." He put on the mask and everything went black.

Zack, South Diaspora

Zack woke up on a rocky floor, it took him a little while to adjust to the new dimension's physics but once he was finally able to stand he began walking across what appeared to be a barren wasteland. "Lathos, I know I told you that I just needed a random dimension but at least give me something good. I wouldn't even mind going back to that one full of horses." The mask shook a little bit indicating it was charging another teleportation, "Wait, I didn't mean that last one but you should get my point." The mask stopped in its tracks and instead tried to motion towards a certain direction, as if it felt something could be found there. "Hey what's going on, what did you find?" The sound of a shotgun firing could be heard in the distance. It took him a few minutes but he eventually found who he presumed was the one that fired, he also saw a red clad figure as well. "Hey there, um, beings. Any of you happen to know where I am? Or at least someone with a knowledge of multiverse theory or dimensional physics?"

How did Sakura ended up in a dangerous planet such as Diaspora? She had no idea. She had been walking around this barren wasteland for clues, but to no avail whatsoever. Just then, sounds of shotgun fire are heard. "What was that?" Sakura thought before finding the source of the gunfire. After quite some time, she finds a man holding a shotgun, being interrogated by a man in a red and black suit and some other guy that I don't give a shit about. "Hey!" Sakura called before approaching the three men to say "I heard gunshots. Could that be you, mister?" Her tone was rather polite and casual as she points at the shotgun-wielder.

~Mario and Luigi~
LOCATION: SOUTHERN DIASPORA, [UNKNOWN]

MUSHROOM KINGDOM - PRE-TRANSITION
The Mario Brothers slept peacefully that night. They'd had enough escapades for the day- now, it was time for some well-earned shut-eye. Early in the morning, Mario had roused from his bed in Toad Town and went on his early mail run. He swept through fan mail (appreciated), invoices (not so appreciated)- even a two-for-one coupon for moustache wax (very appreciated- 'staches like his need care). It was looking to be an ordinary, slow rise to the day, but as he set aside the penultimate letter, he was met with an unusually crisp envelope resting softly in his hands, packaged with the same care as one would take with a newborn baby. All it took was one look for Mario to know it was from Princess Peach. It was almost instinctual- something to do with having known her so well for so long, maybe? The iron bond they shared with each other?

Then again, Mario thought, the crown symbol's a big giveaway.

Luigi, to his surprise, also received a letter. He had just walked back from the kitchen with his plate of cookies and milk to eat- looking forward to relax in front of some TV- only to tragically slip, head-over-heels on an envelope that had slid through his letterbox and landed on his carpet, ready to strike Luigi's unfortunate foot. With the cookies and milk tarnished, Luigi dusted himself off, cleaned his carpets, and then picked up the sullen envelope, opening it carefully and slinking out the piece of paper inside.

The letter was from the princess, alright- and, to their delight, it was Toadsworth's birthday today, and they had both been invited to the castle for a party! If they were to be honest, neither brother knew exactly how old Toadsworth was- they weren't sure if anyone knew- but how could they possibly turn down the offer? He had been such a good companion to them, the princess and the Kingdom for years; if nothing else, a party at Peach's is always spectacular. Not to mention the deal sealer- cake.

Overall, today was looking to be a great day for the Bros. Games were played (thankfully no balance-beams over lava this time), gifts were exchanged, jokes were told. There was one joke they didn't find particularly funny, though- the joke when the King of Koopas, Bowser, blew open the wall with his airship armada and minion legions and snatched the princess from right under their 'staches. They both stood up. A resolute look on his face, Mario's gaze met his brother's and nodded passionately. A shakier, more uncertain Luigi, yet one equally as firm, nodded back. Here we go!

They sprinted out of the castle, and did as they had done countless times before; all the way from Toad Town to Bowser's Castle, they traversed sand (still stuck in their shoes), sea (swimming is less fun when it's with 10-foot-long electric eels in a cave)- even the skies (death-defying leaps of faith), before they finally made it to the final confrontation, face-to-face; a battle with Bowser. It was hard-fought, as always, but the brothers came out victorious once more- Bowser defeated, princess rescued, kingdom saved; all in a day's work.

The party resumed, and everyone assuredly enjoyed themselves. The cake certainly lived up to its promises. But now the brothers were home, and, after their adventures for the day, they were thoroughly stonkered. Luigi waved goodbye to his brother as he went to his own home, and Mario crashed into his own bed. They dreamt pleasant dreams of pepperoni... ravioli... spaghetti... pizza pie...

DIASPORA
CRASH!

"W-WAH-?!"

Luigi was pulled from his pleasant pasta dream with a lurch, upon hearing a terribly loud explosion- no, more like an eruption- blast off somewhere around him. Wherever it was, it must've been very close; Luigi's ears began ringing the moment he woke up. It was practically sensory overload for the poor man- snapping his eyes open, he was half-blinded by a harsh red light assaulting his eyes, and now everything’s exploding around him- not to mention the blistering heat, the jagged, uncomfortable ground, and that bright orange goop heading straight for him-

LUIGI!

Mario shrieked for his brother- that geyser had just erupted a fusillade of magma, descending towards Luigi! And he was still just laying there! As quickly as he could, Mario gave one of his mighty leaps that he was so well-known for in order to reach his brother faster. He landed smoothly by his side, harshly grabbing hold of Luigi’s dungaree strap before diving out of the way. He was just in time- as both brothers stood back up, they saw the spot where Luigi was unfortunate enough to wake up begin to liquefy and bubble, leaving an ever-growing crater. That was especially frightening, considering the ground was hard rock.

Mario took off his hat, wiped his brow, and breathed a sigh of relief. He and Luigi dusted the weird alien space dust off of themselves, before Mario spoke.

Mama mia! Luigi! Are you alright?! That was a close one, bro!” Mario implored, his voice full of urgency and concern- bordering on panic. His brother was nearly turned into goo- that would’ve stirred anyone, even somebody as stalwart as Mario.

Luigi looked at his brother, terrified. He was still in shock- waking up here? He was just sleeping, in the comfort of his own home- where was he?!

Maaaaaario!“ Luigi blubbered, as he ran into his brother’s arms for comfort and sobbed. Mario sighed, and patted Luigi on the back, letting him have his spill. It really was all overwhelming- Mario felt like crying, too- more out of frustration about his situation rather than fear, but he couldn’t cry- that wouldn’t get them out of here. Luigi got back on his own two feet, and immediately began quivering in fright.

B-bro...! Where is this place? D-did Bowser capture us? This sure looks like his-a kind of real estate...!” Luigi implored, through chattered teeth- biting his nails through his gloves. Mario paused, looking around. It’s true- this place would be a dream for someone like Bowser. But... this wasn’t the Koopa Kingdom. This looked like another planet entirely.

I... I don’t-a think so, Luigi. Not even the Koopa Kingdom looks like-a this...!” Mario replied, taking a step back, in awe of the chaotic landscape of the world they had found themselves in. It was like if the Underwhere was ten times hotter. Were they all alone here?

KABOOM!

The sound caused Mario to perk up, and Luigi to practically leap right out of his socks. That wasn’t another geyser- that must’ve come from another person!

Luigi! Follow me!” Mario commanded, as he began to run over to the source of the sound. “I-I’m-a coming, bro! Don’t-a have to tell me twice!” Luigi quickly responded, sprinting away from yet another geyser eruption headed his way. The rocks made this place worse of a maze than Geno’s forest- and they had to tread carefully. Skilfully jumping over spikes, craters, and lava pools, they set about part one of their journey to get back home- move to anywhere but here.

--Shinji 'Hiiro' Kamipon--
Tomb of Tolerance, Vault of the ArchPandara

Within the deep regions of the tomb lies a scenery similar to the outside world--Cold and desolate, dried trees surround you from left to right as light fog accompanies the pouring rain.

Shinji and his four eyeball companions are facing against a giant creature unlike anything they have faced before. The Giant hovers in the air, made out of a large eye surrounded by spiked tentacles with differently colored eyes on them. Underneath the Demon is a chest with cracks on it.

"Almighty Shinji!" A flagbearing Patapon called out to it's leader, surrounded by exhausted looking soldiers, struggling to remain it's footing. "I don't think our soldiers can make it!"

"Have faith, Hatapon!" Shinji, the masked Patapon responded, stepping in front of the rest. "As long as I'm still in the game, we can still win this!" He declared, rushing ahead of the group. Soon, lightning began to strike down from the heavens, hitting the Uberhero dead in his tracks.

"Lord Shinji!" A spear bearing Yaripon called out, worried about it's leader.

"Ton, Chin, Kan!" Shinji called out to his soldiers, glancing back as soon got up and dodged the lightning trying to strike him down, "Stand back! I don't want y'all to die here!"

"But my lord--!" Chin, knight Tatepon stood, but was soon cut off by their leader's command.

"No buts!" Shinji commanded as he tossed his golden spear at the chest, chipping a piece of it off. "I know that one of us wouldn't make it out alive, and I know that it MUST be me!" He explained as he dodged the red eye that crashed on the ground, "The four of you MUST make it to Earthend...No matter what!" Shinji glanced back at the Patapons, a faint grin can almost be seen underneath his mask...If he actually had a mouth, that is.

"Almighty!" Kan yelled out as Shinji made one last dash towards the vault, running around the giant red eye and it's eyed tentacles.

"Pon Pon Chaka Chaka..." He sung, faint sounds of drums echoing from Shinji as he got close enough to activate a Hero Skill. "Pon Pon Pata-- TAKE THIS!" He lunged forwards, reforming his golden spear, glowing a bright gold color as he threw it, duplicating into six spears shooting into the chest. "SABARAN!" He yelled out as the spears made contact with the chest, exploding into golden balls of flames. Soon, bright rainbow light pierced through the explosions, engulfing everything in sight. This marked the end of Shinji Kamipon, the Uberhero...Or so it seemed.

In a strange and unknown realm where the skies are tinted red, Shinji found himself on the ground, his mask lying a few feet from the Uberhero while his weapons laid beside him.

"P..Pon...Pon...Pon Pon Pon Pon..." Shinji muttered as the sound of a drum echoed from him, causing his body to twitch. This continued for a while, uttering the same word over and over as he slowly stood up, soon opening his eye which encompassed his entire face. It was one big circular eye, it's retina are tinted cyan with one big black circle pupil. There appears to be wings sprouting from the sides of his head, and a strange, spiked antenna with a smaller eye similar to his face poked ontop of his head. "Pon Pon Pon Pon~!" He sang, rejuvenated. Shortly after. The Patapon then glanced around, examining his surroundings. He appeared to be in another world, where the skies are tinted red and land's as barren as a wasteland...'This place...The Underworld?' The Uberhero pondered as walked towards his mask picked it up, setting it on his eye. He then turned and grab hold of his weapons as he heard gunfire in the distance, prompting him to take a battle ready stance.

Shinji waited around to see if he could spot the enemy, but alas, nothing showed up...Yet. Thinking that he should still be careful, Shinji began to move slowly towards the source of the gunfire...

Agent 3 - Diaspora South
Near: Mario and Luigi

The day begins calmly, with the sun rising on the tentacular city of Inkopolis. Squids swimming, kids gunning, turf wars being had, nothing could possibly spoil this indubitably unremarkable day. Taking a look somewhat more backstage, the Squidbeak Splatoon was having a celebratory meeting. All the agents in one place, it was almost like a family reunion for many of them, especially the ones without families of their own to return to after their missions.

Agent 1, the cheery one, had brought beverages for the Splatoon, dishing them out with a candid smile. She giggled, placing the last drink at her own place, before sitting down. "Enjoy, everyone. We deserve a break like this every once and a while!" She took a sip of the beverage, eyeing the other agents. She was not a fan of their uptight dispositions. "Come on, guys. There isn't a secret mission behind all the fun, we're just here to celebrate the peace we've been able to attain between Inklings and Octarians!"

Agent 2 spoke up with a smile, "Callie, don't forget. Agent 3 doesn't talk much, nor does our Octoling friend here." At their mention, Agent 3 gave an affirmative nod. They were by far the one who took their job the most seriously, much to the chagrin of the select few on the opposite side of the spectrum. The Octoling occasionally referred to as Agent 8 gave a playful smile to the rest of the Splatoon. She was the most naïve, and almost as excitable as Agent 1 herself.

Agent 3 quietly drank the soda placed in front of them. They shot Agent 1 a quick glance and an even quicker smile, before they reverted to their emotionless, business-like stature. They did not contribute to breaking the tense atmosphere whatsoever, secretly preferring it over boring festivities. They lived for the Splatoon's triumphs, failures, and dramas. They loved action, whether they showed it or not. They barely even communicated the fact, never showing a preference for missions unless offered a clear choice.

Agent 4 decided to speak up. "Callie's right, why aren't we having any fun right now?" She could be considered the clumsy one, (and the only player character who speaks). The agent looked back and forth with a mix of disappointment and sadness on their face. She was really looking forward to this party, but it felt more like a funeral, really. Why was that? What was wrong? Was there something she was missing? Perhaps they were waiting for a new recruit? She doubted that, but one could never be too sure with these things.

The Inkling rapper kicked back in her seat, placing her feet onto the table, "It's simple, really. We've been so busy with these missions that we've forgotten what peace really feels like, yo!" She drank noisily from her soda, "Not me, though. I'm always ready for a good celebration. Right Marina?" The inkling was the daughter of a multi-millionaire, but she was no stranger to stressful circumstances, and had, despite her financial situation, developed a thick skin for trouble. But she found it boring and needless, preferring to have fun in the moment than worry about potential dangers.

"That's right, Pearlie. We're always ready for some good old-fashioned fun! But we can't be too careless, the Octarians have never stopped giving us trouble for too long," The Octoling DJ confided. She tried to be confident, especially when near the rapper, but really she was a nervous wreck, ravaged by paranoia. She also struggled with a kinship towards the Octarians, being an Octoling and all. Besides her personality, she was a talented DJ and technician, often setting up private chatrooms for the Splatoon before missions to discuss the details without meeting in-person. It was hard enough to clear her schedule for just the next two hours!

Following down the line to its logical conclusion, Agent 8 vocalized happily at her mention, simply glad to see her friends gathered in one place. She was a simple person, who had no qualms with doing missions for the Splatoon. She barely felt a real kinship with Octarians, preferring instead to ally herself with anyone who was kind to her. However, while she is a simple person, that in no way means she's unskilled. The Squidbeak Splatoon is comprised of some of the most skilled inklings (and Octolings) known to Inkopolis, and Agent 8 is no exception. Skilled, but simple and childlike at heart.

The conversation stubbornly clung to life as agents tersely traded words. Over the course of an hour or so, the topic moved from feelings about the celebration, to facts about their personal lives, and then to the Splatoon's next real steps, even if this meeting was supposed to be purely informal, and devoid of business talk. As the conversation finally keeled over and died, the rapper took her feet from the table, got up, and walked dutifully to her bag. It was a short trip, taking no more than five or so seconds.

Out of it she produced a classical inkling dessert, a shapeless blob of sugar and a doughlike substance known as a squidcake, contained within a brown paper bag. "Squidcake, my gift from me to the New Squidbeak Splatoon," the rapper said, unveiling the colored, starchy cake. Many of the agents smiled at its reveal, including our "tough guy" edgelord Agent 3. Each agent happily broke off a chunk for their own pleasure, and the mood lightened somewhat. Nobody can resist the allure of an oven-baked squidcake.

After more time spent uneventfully, Agent 3 stood up abruptly, signaling they had to use the bathroom. Around half of the other agents nodded in understanding, turning back to the topic at hand. The conversation had actually begun to really pick up at that point. Not that our soon-to-be horribly unfortunate agent would have known, as quickly they had already left earshot. The agent, instead of going to the bathroom as they had said, wandered Octo Valley. The traversed several abandoned Octarian outposts, searching every book and cranny for hidden extra power eggs, or perhaps a stray sunken scroll.

However, what they found was a lot more disconcerting. A portal, or a tear in space, or something of the sort. The agent couldn't parse what exactly it was, nor what it meant. The agent quietly switched off their headpiece, beginning to hear worried mumblings from the other agents' headpieces. They heaved a shaky sigh, understanding that they may never return from this portal- which was about as close as one may ever get to Agent 3 actually speaking. They looked back and forth, to make sure no other agents were about to follow them in... and jumped.

...
. . .

Agent 3 wakes up suddenly, as if from a nightmare. Their heart is racing uncharacteristically, and a cold sweat had developed. How long were they out? How did they get here? Where even was here? The agent stopped panicking for a moment, and simply observed. They were resting on a rock- a hot one at that. Surrounding this rock was a whole field of them, as far as their cephalopodal eye could see. There were holes in some of the rocks, from which magma flowed freely. The agent stood up, continuing their observation. The magma geysers seemed to erupt in noticeable patterns, which the agent took the time to memorize.

After deciding the terrain had been rendered safe enough to traverse, they began navigating the rocky landscape. There were several trips and falls before they really got a sense of the terrain. The agent unconsciously checked their person, as a sort of comfort thing. To their immeasurable surprise, their splattershot was hooked to their belt! And they were beginning to take note of the ink tank on their back. Had they really gotten so used to it already? It felt like just yesterday when the Captain recruited them.

After a few minutes of walking in a particular direction, the agent heard a loud popping sound, similar to that of a charger going off, but louder and more pronounced. They assumed it was a different kind of gun, perhaps using an explosion to fire ink very, very quickly. Why anyone needed to fire ink so far was beyond the agent, but they wouldn't mind any increase in range. Either way, they didn't want to take a hit like that, so they started moving in a different direction from where the shot must have come from.

A shorter time interval later, the agent spotted two peculiar-looking individuals. One red and one green. They, too, were traversing the treacherous terrains they found themselves in. The agent was hesitant about confronting them, as anyone should feel around total strangers in a land of magma and rock, but they couldn't simply ignore them, so the agent decided to follow loosely. They weren't sure if the two peculiar men had seen them or not, but the agent erred on the side of caution, attempting to stay marginally out of sight.

The costumed figure's response really didn't mean much to Zack but as long as it had something to do with the multiverse, he was interested, "MCU, DCEU, X-Men and comics, okay I'll take it into consideration. Lathos take some notes for me." The mask shook a little, the gesture being some form of communication, "Yeah I know it sounds weird but so do you, so just do it." Strange runes appeared around the mask as it began to produce a piece of paper with a list written on it (MCU, DCEU, X-Men, and Comics). "Well there doesn't seem to be much else here for me so I'll be seeing you gents, it's been nice. Lathos go ahead with the teleportation spell." Zack put on the mask and a purple aura filled the immediate area, it grew brighter and eventually faded.

"Umm... Lathos, what happened?" The masked popped off and did not respond, "Intruiging, it seems not even your powers can trump the physics of this universe." Zack picked up the mask and then turned back to the people around him, “Looks like I’m staying.” A white haired woman came out with a large sword and asked a few questions, Zack wasn’t completely sure what she was asking but it seemed like a request for an introduction. “I don’t know what you mean by model and affiliation, but it I’m gonna take a wild guess and say you’re asking who we are. If that’s the case, I’m Zack and this mask here is my buddy Lathos. Say hi to the, hopefully, good people Lathos.” The mask entered a violent shaking, “Woah, calm down Lathos, I know you aren’t typically introduced but there’s no need for that. You’re just embarrassing yourself.”

Deadpool ( ChazGhost ChazGhost ), Zack ( StorytellerLathos StorytellerLathos ), Sakura Kasugano ( Zamasu Zamasu ), 2B ( TheFatherofSniping TheFatherofSniping ), Mario and Luigi ( Sir Skrubbins Sir Skrubbins ), Shinji Kamipon ( Thepotatogod Thepotatogod ), Agent 3 ( Ferociousfeind Ferociousfeind )

Renko kept his gun trained on the merc with a mouth. Though he couldn't help but feel confused by what nonsense the apparent superhero was spouting. "What? Why the hell are you going on about a comic book?" He asked, unsure of why he was talking about the X-Men and MCU or some shit like that.

Apparently no one knew just where they were, so that probably meant that they were recent arrivals like himself. The lady with the sword theorised that they were from different versions of Earth, or whole other universes entirely. "Oh great, not this alternate universe and timeline bullshit again." Renko muttered. "And I thought me shooting my past self was the last of it."

Rather surprisingly, however, the teenage girl with the headband was the first one who decided that bickering was pointless. She decided to go straight to the point and introduced herself as Sakura.

"Right..." Renko sighed and lowered his gun. "Captain Nathaniel Renko, US Marine Force Recon."

2B
South Diaspora
"I guess introductions are due. I'm YoRHa unit 2B and if you didn't notice the flying thing " she points up" that's my flight unit. Hey, marine, I'm not understanding this any better than you do. I mean in my world humans are extinct but the next thing you know I'm here with humans. Honestly, this could all be a dream or an illusion. Why *are* we here? Pawns for some higher power? Fate? how can we truly know?"

"A thrift store? I got to go to more thrift stores to buy my weapons then" Deadpool said after 2B answered his question. After that, everyone seemed to complain or comment on how they were all stuck in a new world with people from other universes. To Deadpool though this did seem to much out of the ballpark for some of the things he had to deal with, like teaming up a group of different universal versions of himself to fight evil versions of himself... Deadpool life has been weird. "Well since we are introducing ourselves, I'll go next. I'm Deadpool or as the ladies call me, that sexy bastard." Deadpool said introducing himself.

No one has called you that, ever.

"You don't know that" Deadpool replied to a voice that no one else could hear. Deadpool looked around at the group and said "What? I'm just talking to a voice in my head".

Interaction: Tasty Creature( H Hal lucination )

"I missed..." Shinji clicked his tongue as his prey closed his floatation device, prompting it to fall onto the ground rather quickly. Shinji conjured up a similar spear he used to try and pierce the creature when it landed, taking the stance as if a response to his own. This thing...It's not exactly an animal, is it? But it looked so tasty...It'll probably work as like, stew or grilled over campfire...Like most Patapon meals.

"You don't look like your average Dogaeen..." Shinji bantered as if he's talking to himself, not knowing that the creature probably can. "Oh well, an exotic meal works for me!" He leapt up in the air, raising his spear above his head as if it's tip is some kind of mallet and immediately slammed it onto the tasty-looking creature...

Bandana Dee
Location: Southern Diaspora
Status: Freaked out

Bandana Dee held his spear high as his attacker leapt at him, though it was at an unusually odd angle. Right before the creature nearly impaled Bandana Dee, he released his charge, flying into the sky. He hovered in the air, spinning his spear with enough speed to generate lift. He stopped spinning his spear, throwing it at his assailant and dropping to the ground. Bandana Dee swiftly got up and attempted to flee towards the noise he heard earlier.

As Shinji slammed his spear on the ground, the ground he landed on sank, couple of rocks and boulders went flying out as a small crater was formed. It came to his attention that the creature dodged, evident by it taking flight using it's spear.

"That's...New..." Shinji stood in awe before the spear was tossed at him, prompting him to raise his shield, blocking it. "Hey, get back here! I need you for dinner!!" He snarled, giving chase at the tasty looking creature

COMMANDER VORTEX
Vortex Syndicate Headquarters
Exodus East

Same shit, different day, thought Commander Vortex to himself as he performed another routine scan of the system. So far nothing new had happened, except maybe one or two new arrivals. The last location to be transitioned in was Kyrat, the Himalayan nation led by an egomaniac and flamboyant dictator which was also in a state of civil war. That was a week ago, and so far, not much had changed. Well, Ajay had liberated a few outposts and blown up an old factory, but it was mostly still the same as always.

As he watched the sun rise over the Eastern Reaches of Exodus, he couldn't help but recall the events that happened since he arrived. Five months in, and it all felt like yesterday. The Vortex Syndicate had expanded across the planet and his military had grown into a full standing army. He'd gained several allies, but several enemies too. For instance, Skynet was still being the asshole it always was and tried to terminate him the moment he showed up. It failed, which was why the two machine armies were at war.

He watched his units going about their day through a myriad of surveillance cameras. Such as fabricators constructing new buildings, factories producing new units, R&D facilities churning out new plans and ideas, and combat units patrolling the premises. Same as always.

A surge of energy on Rapture's resident death world of Diaspora caught his attention. The sign of a new arrival, and from the looks of it, a whole new location. He dispatched a satellite to check it out.

Hmm, reddish purple rock, jagged cliffs, massive purple crystals, pools of oil-like substance, and creatures of darkness spawning from it? Yep, that was definitely Salem's Domain, or the Grimmlands, as he liked to call it. The first RWBY location that had been transitioned in so far. He dismissed it as a threat, since it was on another planet and the fact that the Grimm had no way of travelling through space. Besides, the Grimm now had to fight the other hostile creatures that called Diaspora home, most of which were a whole lot worse.

Well, that was interesting.

But it was still the same shit, different day.
