RAPID FIRE!

Sup guys! New site, new way to RP. Those of you familiar with my RP The New World or Fire Emblem in general know about Support Conversations. They're a mechanic in the canon games and in my RP that make two characters stronger when fighting next to each other.

Whenever we hit a bump in the road in The New World, meaning posts have been slowed down for whatever reason, we all resort to doing Support Conversations in our PMs! They're a really fun opportunity to not only satiate your RP thirst, but it's also a chance to get to explore character relationships outside of the main plot. So I'll be implementing something similar in all of my RPs!

Introducing, RAPID FIRE! *epic guitar solo and obnoxious machine gun noises*. A Rapid Fire thread is an RP between at least two characters (how else would you guys RP XD) about a scenario unrelated to whatever's going on in the IC Thread. These scenarios can be from the past, present, and future. So they're essentially little mini 1x1 RPs between characters. Though, you guys can have as many people do these as you want. 3 players using 4 characters, 2 players using 5 characters, or just plain 2 players using 2 characters.

The goal of a Rapid Fire thread is to cure boredom while waiting for posts in the main thread. If two of you happen to be bored and online at the same time, ask them if they want to start a Rapid Fire! Now, why are they called Rapid Fire? Ideally, these posts shouldn't take as long as making an IC post. They should be short and sweet, but I won't stop you guys from making super long posts. However, the goal is to establish a back and forth thing, instead of having to wait a week to hear a response, you should get a Rapid Fire response anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes or at least within the hour. That's the idea anyway.

Sound fun? Sounds fun to me, I'm really excited. And the best part is, I'm trying to set this up immediately so that we can start doing them ASAP while we're waiting for the IC Thread and all the BBC to get fixed and stuff.

So Here's How You Make a Rapid Fire Thread!

First: Start a topic right here in Roleplay area.

Second: Choose a scenario. It's important to list the time and place this event is occurring. So for instance, you'd put something like this in the first post of the thread:

Scenario: Golden Sun tries to impress Princess Pierce on Valentine's Day

Time: Valentine's Day 2017

Location: The Power Tower

Third: Post until you both feel comfortable ending the scene! And voila!

The name of a Rapid Fire Thread should go something like this:

"Valentine's Day (Ft. Golden Sun and Princess Pierce)"

So pretty much just give the scene a name and make sure the characters' names are featured as well.

Fourth: Over time when we have enough of these, when I'm going through and doing one of my quarterly thread updates, I'll ask you guys to compile your Rapid Fire RPs into one single post and we'll create a Rapid Fire compilation thread to put all of them in! So when you guys have completed your Rapid Fires, mark them with [Complete!] If you have spare time on RPN, one or both of you can compile the Rapid Fire into a single post to put in the compilation for that season before I ask you. That way it's all ready to go. For instance, all rapid Fires finished right now in September will go into "Rapid Fires Fall 2016".

Here's how I divide my seasons. Summer: June, July, August. Fall: September, October, November. Winter: December, January, February. Spring: March, April, May. At the beginning of those seasons (June, September, December, March) I start cleaning up my threads. At that time, I will ask you guys to compile your Rapid Fires into single posts. A Rapid Fire will be placed in a season depending on when it was finished, not when it was started. I'm doing this so that we keep the Roleplay Area lean and mean and unfinished Rapid Fires won't be hard to find. Well...for you guys. Ruby and I can still see hidden posts by default unfortunately. Hopefully that will change in the future.

And that's all there is to it guys. Have fun!
