Other Random question of the day

They probably have other motivation. Not to spite the fans of the parent show, but to attract new fans.

To be honest I have a suspicion you're probably thinking of characters that are actually pretty popular but you don't personally like.

I could be wrong, but usually if a character gets a spin-off its either because they were that popular to begin with or because the original creator decided they wanted to make a spin-off around that character. If the latter gets adapted into a visual medium (as this does not usually happen in such a medium, likely due to the financial strain of making a movie, tv show etc.. ) its likely that work itself got popular in its original form, meaning even if the character wasn't popular there's a good chance they have since become.

Random question of the day:

Is there a possibility of there being a parralel universe where film adaptations of books are really messed up compared to the lighthearted source material instead of it being the other way around in our universe?

There could be depending on which, whether and to what extent multiverse theories are true. That being said, while I can’t give you an example off the top of my head, other than maybe that one Winnie-the-Poo inspired horror movie, there’s likely no need for parallel universes here, some adaptations are likely more messed up than the original.

As for why it’s usually more lighthearted than the source material, some reasons include…
- The source material was made in a different time when sensibilities were different.
- The source material is in a format easier to make for a niche audience.
- The adaptation wants to to go for a wide audience or a particular audience which, either by industry or regulatory standards or by their own expectations about said audience doesn’t permit them from using that degree of dark content.
- The darker content is, for one reason or another, simply impractical to try to show.

Random question of the day:

What's one fictional toy (Stuffed animal, RC vehicle, et cetera) you wish were real?

So many things would be cool!

Tied between dragons of any kind (but special mention goes to the Mega Bloks Fire & Ice series orange/fire dragon, because the Mega Bloks dragons were totally My Thing as a kid), and Transformers because.....they're awesome. And would fit right into the world, lol.

Hmm. I think I'm gonna go with Transformers. Not sure on a specific one. Although if it were only one, let's not choose a character that hates humans XD

Alright - early morning brainstorming:

I think this would be pretty easy to explain, if there were a universe in which books had an equal or more extensive age/rating/warning system based on their contents than movies and TV shows; placing more restrictions on the written word than the visual media.

The other influence I could see, would be if movies and shows were able to be created by significantly smaller teams or if the quality of AI were more advanced in the other universe to allow a single person to do everything themselves. I think part of the reason books can be more 'extreme' is because they're usually made by one person who has more freedom to express their creativity exactly how they want, compared to being in a team and having to come up with something everyone agrees with.

And maybe cost would factor in as well. If it were cheap and easy to manufacture movies, then it would be easier take the risk of being more experimental and not worrying as much to needing get a broader audience appeal.

Probably because rabbits/bunnies are much cuter than birds, reptiles, and amphibians. At least to the majority of people I guess.

After Googling...
It originated from the Pagans and their traditions

If birds, reptiles and amphibians are egg laying species of animals, why did Hallmark choose a rabbit/bunny as their mascot for Easter holiday consumerism?
The Easter Bunny can be traced back to 17 century Germany (though it was a hare then). The tradition was then brought to America by German immigrants.

I don't know why it's specifically a hare but I will add that the type of animal delivering the easter eggs seems to have been a regional thing. In some areas of Germany the role was filled by a fox, for example.

Some people will claim that the easter bunny can be traced back to the old pagan god Ēostre (or the German version Ostara) but there's no real connection between them. The idea comes from some guy in the 19th century writing a book where he goes "I guess that the hare might have been a sacred animal of Ēostre". And that's literally all the evidence there is for a connection between the two.

Humpty Dumpty during Easter is probably like any dog during any holiday that includes fireworks: hiding and praying for it to be over.

No answers yesterday. Eh...

Random question of the day:

How long would it take for a person to climb the Mount Everest, swim through the Nile River and walk across the entirety of Russia combined?
