Help Quick question: What's a macro?

I've heard the term around quite a bit but I'm still not sure what it means. Is it a code thing? If so, how do I use it?

Macros are pre-written texts that you save in advance so you can insert them into any post you need. It can be BBCode, a quote you like to use; anything. The way to set them up is to go to your account settings, and go to Post macros (at the bottom of the account settings list on the left-hand side). Alternatively, just go to https://www.rpnation.com/account/macros/

To insert it, once you've saved a post macro, when you go to a post there's a lightning bolt icon next to the google maps insert icon and the alignment icon in your post's toolbar.
