Hiya, just starting to learn how to code a while ago. I guess it's more of a thread for me to show friends and sometimes hide a few CS here and there. Any feedback or suggestions on how to make these (amateurish) designs look better would be appreciated!

Sorry they aren't really mobile friendly either. If you're using on a browser, hopefully things should be ok on default zoom and not break.

These designs are rather simplistic but please don't use or copy >_<
Even though some designs were inspired from others, they still took hours for me to do ;A; (code breaks too often for me...)

I made a CS template for one of my newer characters Kang Se-Young. His debut RP is in Nano and A Murder Of Corviknight 's [Of Madness and Vainglory] RP, a character-driven RP about ability users in an urban fantasy setting.

There shouldn't be any reason for heroes to target him as of this moment, but supposedly if he wanted to he could change the lighting around the camera to hide his presence in a shoplifting act (not that he's ever had the intention to do so...)

Appearance:
Se-Young looks like a typical modern teenager or adolescent. He's has an average height of 171cm and a healthy body build to show that he has been regularly exercising to look after himself. He has very dark blue hair that he had dyed a while ago, though it'd be hard to spot unless you saw him walking under the bright sunlight. In contrast to his non-edgy personality, his hair is a little odd in that his fringe is rather long to hide his right eye. He has soft, black eyes with a generally passive or friendly look, making him approachable in the street if you were lost.

He often likes to wear comfortable clothing. They're rather slim-fitting, but still casual. The jacket he wears contains large pockets, and an inner pocket to store his wallet and small important items. Oddly enough, he also wears steel-capped boots. They look a little strange, but he finds them more than enough to protect his toes in his physics labs at university.

Personality:
His personality is that of an "investigator", wing "peacemaker". In general, he is rather approachable, and isn't shy about showing his care for his friends. When talking to him, he seems to have a good instinct of balancing his words to hold a pleasant conversation while also being a good listener. With people that he doesn't know very well, he tends to maintain the gently smiling face, and is has a habit to simply laugh off anything that bothers him. This is an exception for when he's in a state of panic, or something sensitive is brought up. When he is angry, he gets a bit tense in wanting to be patient but is urging to yell.

He does have a bit of an inferiority complex, and is more hesitant or nervous to use abilities that he's not very familiar with. Part of this was because of his past experiences of thought to be a "Zero". Having known of what it's like to be labelled as someone with no abilities, he's especially humble when interacting with others of a rank lower than himself. He knows that underestimating someone isn't a good thing. Because of his rather limited abilities, he has developed a mind to always think "outside the box", or be innovative to solve problems.

While he doesn't go about breaking regulations, he doesn't really observe the laws either. To him, a happy day would involve no one he cares about being hurt. He isn't too attentive to the news on social media, and generally is only aware of the major events that happen in the city if there are enough people talking about it, or his friends care enough to tell him.

Family:
Se-Young lived with his parents and his elder brother. His mother was a stern but also caring mother, who was also an A-ranked ability holder. In contrast, his father was a C-Rank ability user with very passive abilities to withstand high electricity through his body. Both were't really in any hero associations, but lived as peaceful citizens.

His elder brother's ability turned out to be rather useful, since it involved extracting and inserting in diseases and viruses. He's a few years older than Se-Young. The two don't hate each other, but find it awkward to talk with each other over the years. Perhaps it was due to their wide gap in interests and priorities. His older brother is ranked B, and is currently working in a hospital in the central parts of the city, where there is a department for researching viruses.

Biography:
The Kang family had only moved to Valler when Se-Young was 10, due to his father's work had changed locations. Moving to Valler didn't seem that much different from their previous home to Se-Young, since it was just a matter of going to a different school with different people. As he was thought to have no abilities, his parents worried that he might not be able to defend for himself against dangerous ability-holders. Thus, they encouraged him to take Taekwondo classes from when he first started elementary school.

Though his parents reassured him that it would be fine even if he was a Zero, he didn't like the implications of the labels given at school. His classmates and friends were given nicknames and labels such as "gravity-shifter" or "pyro ability holder". For Se-Young, it was simply "Zero". It wasn't something that occurred everyday, but the use of these labels frequently had kept him unhappy. Fortunately, other than verbal teasing (that sometimes did actually hurt him), there wasn't anything majorly violent or serious. He gradually got used it, and developed a habit of laughing things off or keeping his discomfort to himself.

He had made two friends in first year of middle school, Chess and Blaise ( Nano A Murder Of Corviknight ). Perhaps it was due to these two looking out for him that his school life was free from bullying. He generally had small circle of friends and kept to them during the rest of his school years.

Around the time when he was 16, his teacher had noticed that he may be an ability holder, when Se-Young seemed to be related to the small sparks of light in the air. It was so unnoticeable though, that it was hard to pinpoint at what time his abilities would have started showing. At the end of high school, he was given Rank E for his ability in the aptitude test. At the time he could only manipulate the lighting around him to create illusions or a light display at a small scale.

He decided to take up a physics degree in university, since he realized that his ability relies on his knowledge of light properties. He can only get better if he knew the limits and properties of his abilities. At the moment, he's studying with Chess in the same physics class (with the same professor that doesn't like Chess' ability). By this time, his relationship with his brother was getting more and more awkward. For various other reasons as well, he convinced his parents that he would move out, to somewhere close to uni and live off his scholarship. Thus, when he was 18, he moved to the same apartment block that Chess and Blaise live, exactly one floor up on the same location, in fact. So, the three can crash at one place and share meals together. Curry is one of the frequent favourites.

He didn't join any hero association. This is going back to his in-confidence in himself and doesn't want to take the risk of using his abilities yet. In his free time however, he has found a liking to composing electronic music and offering it for sale online. His username and artist alias is "Photon-satellite", though it really was just something he thought when glancing at the titles of textbooks he had in his room.

Ability:
His power is labelled as "EMR manipulation". Previously, it was thought to be light manipulation, but he was examined to have been able to manipulate all waves in the EMR spectrum. His abilities can be used in the following ways:

1. Light Show: From creating small orbs of coloured light around him, to changing the lighting around himself, he is able to change what people see in a small ranged area. The most complex he can achieve as of yet is to manipulate the lighting around himself, making himself looking very different from his actual appearance. However, the more complex the "illusion" is, the more time is required for him to practice. In a way, this is similar to art, where he needs to know very fine details about the object (to the extent of photorealism). Often, he just chooses to use it for light display, or to illuminate in a dark room. It is worth noting that he isn't conjuring light from nowhere, but is converting his own energy matter into photon packets. Otherwise, the only way is to absorb light, and concentrate light into one area. The field range for this ability is very limited, only within 2 meters. These light packets or light orbs don't do any damage at all, though a certain concentration may bring some heat, but it's not something that can keep one warm like a fire. Everything he does with this skill must also be within his sight range, so I suppose another way to stop it would be blindfolding him. When he can't see, some of the projections of light manipulations he does might seem a bit weird.

2. Energy conversion: Specifically, he can only do this to his own body for short periods of time. He can change all matter within his body to nothing but photon packets. This gives him the temporary ability to disassemble himself and re-assemble a few feet away (and no further than that). To the person who sees this, it would be like his figure just scatters into light orbs. It takes a lot more energy compared to his other abilities. The good thing about this is that it allows him to not take any damage (since photon packets can't be damaged). Each time he does this, he can't maintain it more than 5 seconds, and it is advised he doesn't do it more than half a dozen times within a short period of time. If he overuses this ability, he will experience very bad headaches and extreme body strain. When scattered, the light particles don't stray from each other too much, since they need to quickly reassemble together. He is able to sort of choose where he lands to, although it can't be anything more than a few meters away.

3. Radio black magic: The name is a bit weird, but all this is referring to is how he can "listen" to radiowaves (or other wireless signals) when he is in contact with a transmission or receiving point. The information appears to him like binary or analogue signals. He would be able to draw the signal for you, but he can't decipher any messages unless he knows how to use it (or if he doesn't know the encryption key). This is also an ability that has only been unlocked recently, when he started understanding about how antenna transmission works. To get him to stop listening, just get his hands away from the transmitter/receiver. (But honestly, most of the time he can't tell you anything more other than someone is using a channel or not).

The following are skills he has yet to unlocked but has been approved:
4. He can concentrate the EMR energy around him, forming into a ball of energy and fire it at something. The more intense the energy gathered, the more time it takes for it to gather in his fist. The attack is fast but travels in a straight line only, unless you use mirrors to reflect it. It is not effective against black bodies. The impact of an average size is around the size of his fist, and when hit the impact would be something like a hard punch. Being hit by this doesn't give the victim any burns. The only advantage to this is that he can hit with something of a larger strength, and that it can be used to hit something further away. In a single day, if he does this more than a dozen times he's going to faint by the end of the day (and would probably need to sleep around 12 hours before recovery). If one is observant enough of the timing, they can easily evade this attack since it travels in a straight line.

5. His body can absorb all spectra of EMR around him (in a 3m radius), and is not going to be affected by dangerous high frequency EMR waves. This means no sunburn or cancer for him. By itself, it's not really that useful, other than it means he can avoid being hurt by death lasers. This ability is useful however when he's touching a transceiver though. At certain angles, you can be exposed to high radiation concentration. It's extremely dangerous since you will feel your body growing abnormally hot just after a minute.

Fighting Style:
With his peacemaker personality and his passive abilities, he has to rely on his actual physical capabilities to defend. He never actively seeks to hurt the other person, or hasn't found a reason to yet. Using his skills from Taekwondo, he tends to use series of kicks and spinning techniques to counter against incoming offenses. He's been practicing since a young age, so something like a high-end kick is not hard for him and he has learnt to have quick recoveries every time he's deliver an attack. The only ability he might use is his ability to scatter into photons, to temporary evade an attack. Although not exactly like his former high school years, in which he did win the championship in the state one year, he hasn't neglected his training.

He doesn't hold any values of "fighting to the death for your morals", and rather finds it disgraceful of just throwing your life away for honour. Therefore, he would surrender in a fight, if he finds there no reason to fight any longer.

Extra:
Se-Young (세영) corresponds to the characters "細煐". "細" means "small, fine, or delicate" whilst "煐" which means "shine". Credits to Nano for naming this one.

In case it was confusing, Se-Young isn't that attentive to the latest trends, but he does like certain modern things. His primary reason for dying his hair blue simply was because he "liked it and wouldn't mind having blue hair for the next several months".

His bag would generally contain:
- lightweight laptop and charging cable
- small torch
- one or two pens with notepad
- portable gaming console
- headphones
- some dry rice grains and/or can of tuna - for feeding ducks and cats

After two months of coding, it's about time I started learning tabs! Thanks and credits to IctoraPost for making a useful reference for it. You can find it here.

This is more just two character profiles combined in one, click on the pink and blue "E" to view the CS. And it looks really bare, but that's because I haven't finished drawing them yet T_T. I needed to get the CS done for the RP, so I decided to just put up a rough prototype version for now (and give proper credit to people).

Eerrrr given how slow I am at drawing and making backgrounds it'll probably take another few weeks.

[PERSONALITY]
Individualist, Challenger and Psychopath.

Ask anyone's first impression of Erika, and they would tell you that she seems to be a cheerful and ambitious girl. Though she speaks mature enough for someone her age, ask her about her fantasies and ideas and one would find that she can really stretch her imagination. She's also independent and resilient. Erika loves to talk to people and hanging out with her friends, but she doesn't get restless. Not having the extensive knowledge like her brother, she's more hardworking and relies on her instincts to get her out of unfavourable situations.

Erika prides herself in being an "individualist", in which she's aiming to achieve something to wow others. Though she acts modest about it, one can easily see that she gets pleased with her accomplishments. She always like compliments as well.

More than getting praises, perhaps Erika likes winning more. Or simply, that moment of joy when she feels superior. This feeling is something that she can relate to most out of everything else, perhaps only second to fear of dying. Though Erika isn't cold-blooded, she isn't one to be burdened by emotional attachments and has her ways of being manipulative. The extent of her little attachment to morals and emotions are symptoms of her psychopathic nature. And like all psychopaths, she is good at following along with what others do around her, blending in like a rather normal person.

Even if Erika was sadistic, most of the time it's so subtle that one cannot even notice it. Another reason that hinders from acting on her lonely impulses is due to the things drilled into her mind, that there's some things you cannot do, even if you want to. (Depending on her upbringing, she will have different levels of control of acting less on her desires in this aspect)

[APPEARANCE]
Erika has a normal build, and has a height of 154cm. She's slightly taller than her half-brother, and rather proud of it. One can see that she isn't malnourished, and is rather quick on her feet. Erika has light brown hair and grey eyes. The hair colour is really light brown that under the sun it could be almost mistaken for orange.

Erika tends to wear long sleeves, even if it's the peak of summer. Her left hand has a few burn marks currently from cooking blunders. On both forearms though, there are rather clean scars, clearly made with some form of weapon.


[FIGHTING STYLE]
Erika has been taught some basic defence at her school, along with some parkour. Though she can't fight like a soldier or grown adult, she tries to make up for it by dealing multiple fast attacks in combos, or "machine gun strategy". With her good reflexes, she generally tries to evade attacks rather than rely on blocking. The general weapon she uses is a short sword with a straight blade. The length is generally no longer than 50cm as she can't handle very heavy swords.

For reference, Erika will probably be able to evade 5/10 attacks from any other MC above the age of 20. If she is using her head and properly timing her evasions, it may be 7/10.

[PART I MAGIC SKILLS]
Erika has not studied magic, though she understands some basic principles from Emiyn.

[BIO]
It was now late evening. Once again, in the academy in a town in Erminia, the students were being called by the teachers to get to sleep. The last day of the holidays, and tomorrow would mean that the kids would wake up more for academic studies. Erika waved and said goodnight to her bunkmate before climbing up to her own. For a few seconds the girl stared out the window for a while.

A small but peaceful smile had crept to her face. Today had been a good day. She had received a letter from her brother, Emi. Her brother had been describing a new place he had gone. Of course, while her hadn't gone by himself, it wasn't with family. Emi complained that he had only about an hour of free time when he was visiting the market place of the town before having to go back to class. It seemed that even her studious and smart brother didn't like lessons.

She promised herself that tomorrow afternoon she'll write a reply. Idly, she fingered the small pendant around her neck. That was how Emi had found her. Seeing that when she unwrapped her scarf, the boy had gotten rather attentive towards the gift from her mother's. Eri had no idea that she secretly had step siblings until just about a year ago. All she knew was the little brother with the same eyes as her, but nothing much about the two elder half-brothers, or even her supposed biological father.

Within her blankets, the girl shifted to her side when thinking about her "father". The one that was currently living with her mother. Today they had been fighting, and he had made her cry again. The second time. Erika had been living at the academy for several months now, with few weekends back at home, how many other times would she have missed?

She held the necklace chain a little tighter, reminding herself to think positively. She had stopped them both just in time. It was a little painful when Erika had used the kitchen knife to slit along her own arm, and it was rather loud when her mother was suddenly yelling. But… they stopped fighting. Her mother stopped crying and was being worried about her. Even better, her mother even hugged her and promised they'd go shopping together afterwards. Just the two of them.

The problem was solved. The actual third wheel in the home had looked sorry. Maybe, Erika thought to herself, he'll be sorry enough to agree to go fishing with her. He was good at that, and while they're at the lake with deep waters she can talk to him… He'll definitely listen. It's at a quiet place and there'll just be the two of them.

Her thoughts were broken by someone murmuring something about breakfast. Mia was sleep talking again. Eri held back a giggle before finally shutting her eyes, ready to drift off to sleep. Even though there were a few problems, it was still a good day.

[PERSONALITY]
Investigator, Commander and Peacemaker.

Emiyn acts and considers himself like any other adult. He gives the impression of having grown up around people older than he was. On the other hand, his way of talking might be a bit stiff when talking with kids a bit younger to his own age, but can be seen charismatic to most. Having learnt from the best, he's known how to tailor his words and actions to try and gain favours, or make himself less suspicious. He is able to spend long hours by himself, simply reading or other hobbies, but he does like a good conversation with a good friend. To Emiyn, a good friend that he can trust is more valuable than a family member.

If you were to ask what he considers his strongest point is, Emiyn would say that he has a good evaluation of himself. He knows of his own place, has a general grasp of his weaknesses and strengths. And with his general observation and attention to detail, there are many times when he can guess what others think of him by their subtle actions that speak louder than gossiping words.

He believes strongly that knowledge is perhaps one of the most effective weapons, the other being persuasive skills. It could be that he hates violence, or war. Or it could be that his own image of a hero is not showing one's glory in public. The coolest type of people, are those that seem weak and unnoticeable, but end up getting the last laugh. Perhaps this is why he has keeping out of the attention of everyone else intentionally. All for the decisive moment when he feels it is right to intervene and catch them off-guard.

Compared to his siblings (in world 1), Emiyn is the one who hates fighting the most, possibly hints to the slivers of boyish innocence within him. While he doesn’t wear his grief and discomfort on his face, he knows very well that he is a bit sensitive towards people he cares about being hurt.

[APPEARANCE]
Emiyn is 152cm in height, which is a bit short for his age, but he has hopes that he will continue to grow. Just from the way he dresses and his walking strides, one can see that he has a lead a healthy life. Out on the streets, Emiyn tends to look a bit like a young scholar or student from one of the boarding schools.

Emiyn's hair fringe might be a bit long, something that he's heard women say might cover his eyes. He finds it suits him just fine though since he doesn't like the sun getting into his eyes.

[FIGHTING STYLE]
Emiyn was expected to train. Living in a life of comfort and safety in the heart of the city has allowed him to be less enthusiastic about it, compared to any of his other lessons. He is more familiar with using a long sword. He can't use powerful attacks, and rather chooses to adjust his timing to deal a precise attack to the weak points of the opponent.

Having practiced magic since he was young, he has a rather good magic stamina for his age, in comparison to his physical abilities. Emiyn does make up for it by having a strong mentality.

[PART I MAGIC SKILLS]
1. Emiyn can activate a ritual magic spell, which requires one magic gem per use. From that, he can use the shadows about 1.5 metre radius around him to materialize and form into an object. He can only have it forming into a black eagle or sword at this current time. They have the properties similar to their realistic counterparts, but with a more "fluid" and "shadowy" appearance. Each time the spell activates, it only allows the form to be maintained for about 4 minutes only by his current magic stamina. After the spell finishes, the gem cannot be used again and needs to be replaced. Emiyn does not need to embed the gem into any weapon or staff, but simply just use the word "dirheas" to activate it.

His heart felt weary, but his mind was as clear as day.

Emiyn was curled up on the chair by the window. He wrapped the blanket around his body a little more, in the room where the candle had just gone out. Pressing his cheek against the glass, he didn't flinch from the chilling surface since he wasn't sleepy to begin with.

The death of the priestess in the Tower of the Sun was heavy on his mind. His hand curled into a fist. The same one that had closed her eyes.

He had counted the number of times he had seen her. No more than 20 since he had first seen the middle-aged woman when he was nine. Their conversations hadn't been long each time, since both of them were busy, but when she asked him questions it was similar to how his bodyguard Ayumu would act. But the priestess was a woman though. And he had read enough stories to know that was almost a bit like how mothers were described to be like.

Even Eri has said the same about hers, even though the young prince could tell that the woman had some mental handicap. Just one conversation told him more than enough about her obsession over her past life as an actress.

Thinking about Eri had him sit up a little. The attack from the monsters to the Tower was so sudden, would this have happened to other cities away from the capital? A new fear had sprung to him. It was the middle of the night though, and there wouldn't be any good to just simply visit one of the officials at this time.

He pressed his face further against the glass as a sigh came. It was frustrating at times, how he felt trapped with his limited options. In a few more years, he would have been able to build up his own network like his two other brothers.

Calm down, Emiyn… Think Emiyn… Think calmly…

He was already fourteen. Rushing impulsively was not something an adult would do, and would not end in his favour.There was a small shifting sound, as he got up. What he could do, is to write to Erika first. He picked up his pen, and his hand squeezed it rather hard before he even got to the first word.

He could ask his father, to check on the half-sister that he wasn't supposed to know about. That would be the safest and quickest for anybody, but Emiyn didn’t get up from his seat. He wasn't supposed to know about Erika, and there was almost no way to avoid anyone eavesdropping on his private conversations. The long-term consequence was… He wondered if someone would have thought of him had they read his mind in the last few minutes, and honestly questioned if this was going to be one of the most cruel decisions he'd have to make.

He ran his free arm through his hand while lowering his head and shut his eyes. A minute would have passed before he lifted again, to turn light a candle. Time does not wait for anyone, after all.
