Realistic or Modern Puberty, Powers and Survival {Characters}

Setting

So survival camp: That is where this roleplay will start with and we will see how much longer we will keep going. Our teenaged characters (16-18 years old) have just finished the first exam period of their Senior year. In order to keep them distracted and give them a fun little break, the whole year will go on a survival week. It is meant to been fun, make sure they won't stress too much over their grades or keep on annoying teacher by asking if they finished marking the tests yet. And perhaps it is also a bit meant to stop the PE teachers from complaining that all the focus on in the intellectual subjects and not on the physical subjects. Anyway, the kids will be send on monday morning and with a bit of luck they will return by Sunday afternoon. No, really, there won't be any harm done to the kids. It is just meant to be a fun week of teambuilding and being in the nature and some secret partying, perhaps. Each team has ten students. The groups of students are made at random by the teachers and cannot be changed! If your group sucks, well, too bad life is unfair.

Okay, bit more information on the powers. As mentioned, powers are a very common thing in the world. Everyone has them, but most adults hardly ever use them. Some jobs however do prefer a certain type of power, or at least require you to keep up with your power, like the police, army and firefighters. Also in hospitals people with healing powers or other medical useful powers are highly encouraged to keep developping. However this does not mean that your power will determine your faith. Having a certain power is not allowed to be a requirement for a job, and discriminating based on someones powers is not allowed. So, how do you get your power? Everyone gets their power during their puberty. And like anything else happening in your puberty when this exactly happens can change from person to person. There are some cases of people starting to show them at the age of 12, but there have also been cases where the first sign of a power didn't show up until 18 years old.

The powers are basically limitless, however that doesn't mean you have full potential immediately. You need to learn and understand your power as well as how to activate it and how to use it. Each power may work differently, some are motion activated, some are voice activated, others follow your thoughts, your imagination or your emotions. It depends on how you are and what power you have. And even someone with the same power can have a completely different way of working with it. Basically through your teenage years and first half of the twenties you will have a lot of accidents and have to learn how to work your powers. By the end of your twenties you should be able to do the basics, and that is when most adults stop with developping their powers and start concentrateing on life and different things. However there are also people devoted to their powers and they have learned much more advanced stuff, sometimes even things that others would think are impossible. It all depends on you how much and how you develop your powers. So are your powers predetermined? Until the '60's people liked to think that powers were hereditary, but (recent) studies have made it very clear there is no link between powers and ones genetic coding. So, while most families member do tend to have the same type of powers and way to work with them, it is completely possible to have something different than your parents. Or even your siblings. So no, having water powers in a fire family doesn't mean you are adopted, or that your mother cheated!

All characters are welcome! The only restriction is that they are between 16 and 18 years old and in their Senior year.
There will be a maximum of 10 characters for this roleplay.
We would like characters to be diverse, therefore there is a max of two people with the same power.
It is up to yourself however you fill out the Character Sheet as long as all information is there. You can do it third person or in character.
Though you are allowed to add whatever stuff you deem necessary, we would like to the point answers. No walls of text and whole background stories.

What kind of student are you?
He mostly does try to pay attention, but he may be a bit easily distracted at times. He is very diligent though and makes his homework, most of the time. He goes around with easy B's and an occassional C. If he would just try a bit harder, pay some more attention, he could be a straight A student, or so his teachers say. However he thinks there are more (important) things in life than just school. Even though he would never purposely disturb a class, sometimes his talking with friends will end with him being called out.

What do you plan on doing after your senior year?
He isn't really sure yet. He likes photography, but he doesn't know if he likes that enough to make it his study and job. He has been told he has quite the talent for drama and theather and though being an actor or model seems like great fun, he knows that is a rather unrealistic goal to set. He would like a job where he could travel the world and have new experiences and meet new people, thus he is looking into something as travel guide or working at a hotel. Unexpected he is crazily good at mathemathics and economics, so in the end he might end up doing something with that.

Do you have any part time jobs?
He does get some money from his TikTok and Instagram as an influencer, but he doesn't really see that as a job.

How would you describe yourself?
He has a nice toned build from working out at the very least four times a week. He is 6'3 and weights about 165 lbs. His eyes are a startling steel blue, that have a pure innocent look in them, but can easily show of playfulness and betray his misschief. His hair is originally light brown, as the roots of his hair tend to betray. The top still holds on to that platinum silver he has dyed it with. Most of the time the styling is easy with some wax and an off center part that is followed by blowdrying his hair over the side. He often plays his hands through his hair, thus giving it a more playful look. His skin is mostly untouched and free from any marks, except for the crown tattoo on his left fore arm, just below the elbow bend.

What kind of clothes do you usually wear?
Isaiah doesn't really have one style of clothes. It really is based on how he feels and what his plans are for that day. Most of the time he dresses fashionable casual to chic. More often than not he takes longer than his sister to pick out his clothes for the day. For important dates and occassions he will wear a light colored dress shirt with either dress pants or jeans, which depends on the occassion. Simple loose fitting sleeveless shirts with sweatpants are ment when he goes working out. For school he mostly wears (ripped) jeans with a shirt, which can range from the loose sleeveless to the dress shirt and whatever in between. Shoes most of the time are sneakers, but if the occassion asks for it he will wear oxfords or other dress shoes.

First and foremost he is very, very, active on the social medias, especially TikTok and Instagram. Other than that he likes astronomy, not to confuse with astrology. Though he does know quite a few things about that as well.

He does work out every other day. He switches between cardio and coretraining and flexibility each time. He likes to keep up with figthing and self defence. Though he never stick around long for one style. Mostly switching after two or three months.

Sensory Manipulation: He can manipulate the senses (sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste). He is able to do this by (subconsciously) changing the neurotransmitters and sensory neurons. This makes him able to use the full range of the senses, which humans usually cannot use. If he changes the sensory neurosystem of another person, they may notice it in the form of a warm blush like feeling or some itching/tickling feeling. The outcome will be rather obvious.

Possibilities with the powers
Ultimate he will be able to have full control over his own senses, with it all happening in a blink of an eye. However no matter how much control he has, all manipulations will only be temporarily and thus last for the maximum of an hour on his own. The basic manipulations can be rubbing off on him when used often, thus leave him with a perfect pitch, wider hearing range and 20/10 vision. Regarding others his manipulations will never have a lasting effect, even if he forgets to stop the manipulation. The affects will never last longer than 30 to 45 minutes, depending on how close he is with a person (literal and figurative). He will be able to control or manipulate a maximum of seven senses at the same time. This can be either include his own or those of other. The specializations can never be done without direct skin contact, unlike the basic enhancement and descreasement of senses.

Basic: enhanced hearing by increasing someone’s sensitivity to soundwaves. This will all fall in the 'normal' hearing range (20Hz - 20kHz). Or completely taking the ability to hear away, thus make some deaf. He can either use this on opponents or to protect himself/others from dangerous or distracting sounds.

Infrasound: the ability to hear infrasonic waves (below 20Hz). This will make him able to warn for earthquakes and tsunamis. He will have to actively use the specialization in order to detect anything abnormal).

Ultrasound: the ability to hear ultrasonic waves (above 20kHz) This makes him able to use echolocation, like bats or some dolphins do. He can locate stuff by the manner sound bounces back to him. He will need to know the exact source from the sound. However he is not able to produce ultrasonic sounds himself!

Perfect pitch: the ability to identify a given musical note without the benefit of a reference tone. This will over time became a passive skill.

Basic: he can increase or decrease someone’s vision using the Snellen chart. Healthy people have a 20/20 vision. He can decrease this with steps of 5) to 20/25, 20/30, 20/30 etc all the way to 20/200 which would make one legally blind. He can increase the vision in the same way, so 20/15, 20/10 etc.. He can also take the ability to see away completely, thus making someone fully blind. He could do this to opponents or to protect himself/others from unpleasant sights or blinding lights etc. All of this only affects the normal visible light spectrum from 400nm to 700nm. Overtime his vision will become better and better, eventually leading to a passive increase to a 20/10 vision.

Infrared vision: the ability to see infrared (light with a wavelenght under 400nm). This gives him the ability to see things depending on their temperature. It is more or less a heat vision. He will be able to see through walls etc, but no clear forms. He can only see the heat signature of a person.

Ultra violet the ability to see ultraviolet (light with a wavelenght above 700nm). This gives him the ability to see faded ink on paper and the stain of bodily fluids (aka black light vision). And he can see more colors than the average person.

Xray vision: the ability to have Xray vision (light with a wavelenght under 100nm). This gives him the ability to see though a lot of materials. The limits would be bones, metal and other high-density materials, since they won't let X rays pass through.

Night vision: the ability to see with little to no light. He can only see in a greyscale, thus no colors. The image is grainy and unclear. Though he will be able to detect movement, just no clear image. Enhanced night vision can also become a passive skill.

Basic:he can manipulate the mechanoreceptors in order to make them more or less sensitive.

Tactile corpuscles: They are sensitive to shape and textural changes. Increasing their sensitivity allows him to feel a shape better or more detailed.

Merkel nerve endings: Merkel cells provide information on pressure, position, and deep static touch features such as shapes and edges. Increasing the sensitivity allows him to be more aware of the shapes and how sharp something is. Decreasing the sensitivity will dull down pain.

Bulbous corpuscle: This receptor is sensitive to skin stretch, and contributes to the kinesthetic sense of and control of finger position and movement. It is used for monitoring slippage of objects along the surface of the skin, allowing modulation of grip on an object. They also act as thermoreceptors. He can increase the sensitivity to allow a better grip on objects and make it more difficult for them to slip between his fingers. By decreasing the sensitivity, he is less sensitive for direct heat. However, the damage the heat might do will still be the same.

Lamellar corpuscles: These corpuscles are especially susceptible to vibrations. By increasing them he can feel vibrations better and thus wind changes and even soundwaves and difference in air pressure.

Basic: he can enhance his own or someone else’s smell and take the ability to smell completely away. This can be helpful to track persons, animals or objects by their or its lingering scents.

Toxin/Poison perception: he'd be able to smell certain toxins and poisons in food or drinks.

Basic: he can increase and decrease the sensitivity of the taste buds. This also includes taking someone’s or his own taste completely away. Or only for certain aspects of taste (sweet, sour, bitter and salt.)

Flavor manipulation: he can increase or decrease the flavor of foods and drinks by making the taste buds more sensitive for them. He will have to know the exact flavor he wants to increase and will need a lot of concentration.

Ingredient perception: he can taste the ingredients and chemicals in food or drinks. This also allows him to taste amounts of certain chemicals, poisons and toxins. However, he can only detect there is a poison or toxin if it has a high quantity. He will still get poisoned himself and can possible die from this, since his power doesn’t protect him from the effects of the chemicals, poisons or toxins.

Tracking: he can use taste to track someone or something down when their scent is no longer lingering. He can do this by tasting the ground or walls by licking them. Every person has a very specific own taste. The stronger the taste, the more recent said person or thing has been in that place.

Weaknesses of the power
First and for all, it won't work on animals. The power will only work on humans. Animals have a complete different nervous system that he will have to get familiar with. Not that it is impossible, but he will have to start from scratch to learn how to manipulate that. Secondly, his senses will be more sensitive because of the power enhancements. This means that he is more prone to getting epileptic seizures. While his power is not an external or physical power, it may leave him feel very tired and cause him to be in a bit snappy behaviour after using the power. He won't be able to switch easily between different senses. He will really have to prepare what sense he is gonna manipulate and how he is gonna do that. If he changes his mind halfway through, he will need to stop and start over. This also means he will need a moment for himself after using his power to give himself a moment to stabilize again. The pause will have to last at least twice the amount of time he had used the power for. He will notice when he is going over his limit by slowly losing control over the manipulation and getting lightheaded. He may pass out in some cases, in other cases the power will completely flip around and do the opposite of what he had wanted it to do.

How long did you have your power?
It started showing around three months ago. So far he still is very confused on what is going on. Especially the synesthesia is currently very strong. He also had recent trouble with sudden loss and enhancement of his hearing.

How does your power usually show itself?
It will be a mess, mostly for himself. He will have random loss and enhancement of his senses, until he figures out what is going on. After that he will have to learn how to control the changes, which would have been a lot easier if he had some more biological/medical knowledge, but alas he doesn't. The first signs of his power probably come through sudden synesthesia (a neurological trait or condition that results in a joining or merging of senses that aren’t normally connected). It will mostly show itself by him having a sudden taste connect to the way someone’s name sounds. However at times some sounds may also be a certain color, or the other way around. The strongest connection for him will be sound and taste though.
What kind of upbringing have you had?
He was brought up in a upper middle class status. His parents were two very loving and patient people that had a very open-minded view on the world and rubbed off on him. When he and his sister were 13 years old, they were informed of the fact that their parents had in fact divorced a very long time ago. When they were just five years old, actually. It was a very peaceful divorce. Both of them just figure out this was not the live they wanted and were fit for. So they decided to stay friends and take care of the kids together as much as possible. The reason they did decide to tell the twins was because their dad was getting more serious with his girlfriend and they were thinking about starting to live together. Now they are with their mother most of the time and for the holidays go to their father, since he is now living in a different town. And both of them wanted to stay with their mom so they could continue going to the same school. They also see their dad very often during the weekends and their parents are still very good friends. Both of their parents have a pretty high income, thus they have always led a very comfortable life. They had not been really filthy rich or overly spoiled, but there was always money enough for high brand clothing, giving them all the computers and consoles they wanted, two vacation a year and on top of that each a car when they turned sixteen. However both recieved secondhanded cars, since new cars for beginning drivers was a bit too much.

Any family ties?
His Mother - Tari Helena Wilson {Gravity manipulation} - A sweet and caring person. Always ready to help, though despite her gentle nature she can be really strict. However she never is unnecessary harsh, but makes sure that boundaries are boundaries. "One of a kind woman, mad respect for her!"

His Father - Jonathan Vanderbuys {Super hearing} - A kindhearted and patient soul. He is a bit silent, but always supportive of his kids and all their dreams and ideas. "Silent rock to lean on."

His Fathers Girlfriend - Samantha Evans {Sand Manipulation} - Very nice gentle female. He likes her a lot, though they do something clash about his phone usage. "Dad seems very happy with her."

His Twin sister - Natalie Vanderbuys {Emotional Transformation} iShyShy - She is the most awesome and yet at the same time most annoying person in the world that he knows. Though they can get on each others nerves a lot, he couldn't imagine a life without his Nate. He loves to call her his baby sister, even though they were only born two minutes apart. He would go through hell and back for her and whoever dares to hurt her better runs for their life. "There are not enough words in the world to describe her... Annoying, bratty, stupid, dumb to get started. Kidding, she really is amazing!"

His girlfriend - Victoria Robinson erzulie - They are together for two months now. At least officially. They had been seeing each other for half a year now on the rooftops. He does very much like her, even though she seems to be struggling with adjusting to the sudden spotlight that is now on her. However recent events has him questioning his sexuality, so now he is thinking about breaking up with her. He first wants to figure out what is going on with his sexuality, before he persues a relationship as he wouldn't want to string her along in something that might not last and make them both unhappy. She deserves someone who can and will give her all of his heart and attention. "She truly deserves the best."

Mysterious Green Eyes Nona - Random male that send him a DM that only said: 'Hey, you are so hot. Wanna grab some coffee?'. Isaiah was a bit surprised to get that kind of attention from a male and had no idea how to respond to it. When he looked at the message an hour later to figure out who it was, the profile was fully blocked off in a private mode and the profile pic no longer visible. All he remebers from that first quick glance were those striking green eyes. "This sounds like some bad real life 'Love, Simon' story..."

His ex-girlfriend - Kimberley Mathews - They were together for over a year. He honestly liked her a lot and she seemed to be very into him. Natalie seemed to highly dislike her from the first day he had ever brought her home. At first he thought she was just jealous, since Kim was the first real girlfriend he had, but after a while Natalie started to point out how materialistic Kimberley was. From that point on it became more and more obvious for Isaiah that Kim indeed was only interested in his money and social status. Still it took a good four to five months to actually break up with her, since she always seemed to find ways to keep him in her web, even by lying to him about her father being terminal ill. "The Bitch..."

How far have you gone sexually?
He and his ex girlfriend had been together for fourteen months and they have gone all the way. However he never really thought it was that special. It was all nice and felt good, but it didn't really have the wow-factor everyone was talking about. With the most current developments, he is question whether that has a specific reason and he is just not that into girls, or it was just the wrong girl.

“'Technically'.." She makes air quotations. "No. But I assist my brother with his shenanigans when he needs me to and I think I should be paid to do that.”

“What is this, a dating app? You're asking a lot about me, stranger.” She pauses for a moment. “Anyway. I'm 5'9 or 5'10. It's rude to ask someone their weight but I'll have you know I am 126 lbs and fit since I work out regularly. My eyes and hair, as you can see, are electric blue and straight dyed light blonde. I tend to dye my hair color with the seasons. My ears are pierced and I have a matching crown tattoo with my twin.”

“I would consider my fashion sense eclectic. It varies depending on my morning mood but I guess generally I tend to gravitate toward things that flow and aren't too snug. I like nice flowing dresses and loose over sized shirts. Once I decide on my top I accessorize and decide from there. Jeans, shorts, stockings, hats, shoes, sandals, whatever. And some jewelry of course.”

“I don't like to brag but from what I've been told I'm a good listener, intelligent, and fun. I just need to get comfortable with you so you can confirm that yourself.”

“My brother says I have RBF which I don't see but I detest that it might be true. I'm reserved and I know it so people think I'm self absorbed or narcissistic when that's definitely not the case. I would also say that my hesitation to trust and open up is an issue but you're not my psychologist and I don't want to go into that further. Thanks.”

“Hell yes. Fresh baked cookies, almost any kind really. I also love some nice cloud watching in the bright sun in silence. The last is cheesy and you better not tell him but I enjoy spending time with my brother, as annoying as he can be.”

“Someone invading my personal bubble. Spills of any kind. Having to cover for someone else's faults or problems.”

“I like to dabble in things. I guess you could say drawing is my hobby but my artistic talent is nothing to praise. I peruse the internet like any other regular teen and do what I feel like doing.”

“I used to do dance when I was younger. Now I just dance in my room or with people if we're having a good time. I definitely like showing off a bit. Other than that I work out regularly. Sometimes with my brother and sometimes on my own. I prefer the elliptical and light weights and he goes way too hard for me.”

“That's quite a task to be presented with no preparation. I enjoy cinnamon buns, puppies and anything cute, butterflies, my happy music, parks, the beach but without too much wind, so then the ocean of course. Oh! My AI assistant. Me and her are practically best friends and talk every day. Mythology. Mythology is so interesting and fun to learn about. Then... Last but not least, uniforms. “I should have guessed. I am not a fan of most bugs, poor hygiene, energy drinks.... uhm... Give me a moment...gore and horror. Those are separately avoided. I can handle them but I'd prefer not. Politics but let's not get into that. Pimples. They're evil. Jello. Whatever that is it's fake and useless. The game truth or dare is the worst invention of a game. Emotional Transformation: Natalie will undergo physical transformations depending on her mood and emotional status. The transformations will normally directly correlate to her intentions and feelings toward a situation, making her transformations useful for whatever her plan may be.

Possibilities with the powers
Once she learns how to control her power she will be able to transform parts of her body at will so she can complete any task she is seeking out to do with the assistance of her power. She will be able to fine tune her emotional control to be able to pinpoint what she needs with full range of thought without being hindered by the emotional thinking block.

Weaknesses of the power
The power only effects herself. Since her power is influenced by her emotions she has little control over the transformations and the thought process she ultimately goes through if she is forced to feel a certain way intentional or unintentionally. Her thinking is not critically effected but it will be influenced by how she feels. I addition, the cascade of going from one emotion to the next quickly will also leave her incredibly tired and lethargic until she can relax and regain energy.

How long have you had your power?
She has only had her power for around three months. She has minimal understanding or control over the power and sees it more as a burden than anything else. She barely understands that her transformations come from her feelings and tries her best to stay neutral at all times.

How does your power usually show itself?
Physically. Depending on the transformation it will be glaringly obvious or it can be hidden. It can be beautiful or hideous. Since she has only recently gotten her powers most transformations are very noticeable. She has trouble returning to normal because she dislikes transforming and when it occurs she tends to lose grasp over herself.
Relationships: What kind of upbringing have you had?
They grew up in a comfortable upper middle class family. Their parents were open minded and understanding about more than Natalie could ever fathom and she has done her best to grow to be like them. When Natalie and her brother turned 13 their parents finally told them that they were actually divorced for years and only stayed together for their sake. Thankfully things worked out well but they realized quickly that they did not want to live their lives together. The only reason they told the twins at 13 instead of later on in life is because their father was getting serious with his new girlfriend and had intentions of moving in with her. Currently they live with their mother until holidays, where they visit their father and his girlfriend. Aside from that they spend time with him on the weekends or whenever group plans are made. Even so, their parents were able to support them extravagantly and the twins grew up accustomed to being able to get the newest technology and gifts whenever they showed interest.

Any family ties?

Mother: Tari Helena Wilson. The most kind and affectionate woman Natalie has ever known. Even though her strict rules while growing up were annoying as a child, Natalie grew to understand and appreciate them. It helped that her power of gravity manipulation made controlling two unruly children easy.

Father: Jonathan Vanderbuys. As it seems for most parents, he actually has super hearing. He was always a patient man who was also gentle but was a man of few words. He could listen to you and give you the perfect answer with the fewest words.

Father's Girlfriend: Samantha Evans. Her power is sand manipulation. She isn't coarse like the sand she controls but in fact a soft person. Natalie has no feelings for or against her.

Her Barely Elder Twin Brother DarkiusHeavenstein : Isaiah Vanderbuys. Super senses. Totally ironic because he isn't sensible. Still, he is wonderful and she loves him, and every annoying aspect about him, though she wont admit it. Their bond is incredibly strong even though he knows how to push her buttons the best. She would do absolutely anything for her brother to make sure that he is safe and that he is always happily smiling.

Any other noteworthy people in your life?
Ex-boyfriend: Shawn Henderson. They were in a serious two year relationship from the age of 14 to 16. They grew up as great childhood friends and she could swear that he probably asked her to be his girlfriend on a dare but they made it work. She enjoyed having someone she could turn to when she needed comfort and affection but there was something pulling at her mind that always held her back. They had only ever kissed twice and nothing more than that. They cuddled and held hands plenty but that was not enough for him. She couldn't blame him but she was just not ready and broke it off. They are still friends but don't have deep conversations like they used to.

How far have you gone sexually?
She has only kissed her ex-boyfriend twice. She's not a prude but she needs to feel a serious connection to consider going further. To Natalie, letting people into her life is special and she considers sex to be one of, if not the last level of full trust and comfort. She does not mind waiting to find the right person for that special time in her life.

What kind of student are you?
"...Average? I mean. I study...sometimes..."

He couldn't care less about most subjects, homework is only sometimes followed through unless it's for a practical or science subject rather than something like language classes so he is no stranger to detention. Though he doesn't like upsetting his mother so he at least studies enough to pass exams for subjects he's less than keen on. He is ticking the days until he can graduate and get out of there.

"Uh... The side character friend no one notices? Haha. I honestly have no Idea."

Probably a floater rather than sticking to just one clique. He has a lot of acquaintances.

"I've been told I'm pretty hard working? Another thing was a good sense of humour...but I don't know if that means I'm funny or if that means that I'm the idiot that laughs at the really really dumb jokes. "Easily distracted. If its not something I'm interested my mind will be on another planet, I may work hard but only at stuff I know I really love. What are three things that can make your day?
Finding candy in my pocket I forgot I hid for myself. Not super old candy. That's just gross. Maybe if it was done a day or two before. It happens fairly often, my memory is spotty to say the least. Waking up before you alarm and feeling refreshed is a nice feeling compared to getting scared awake by a loud ringing sound. Not to mention that's some extra free time on top of that. I guess another thing is when my friend brings her baking to lunch to share with us all. It's always out of the blue and it always tastes amazing.

What are three things that can ruin your day?
Skipping breakfast. It happens if I accidentally sleep in, Without something decent in my stomach in the morning I am pretty grouchy. Seeing my mom or one of my friends in a bad mood. It just rubs off on me if I see someone upset, I have to try help it or worry will stick in my head all day. Third thing I guess...forgetting an umbrella or coat or anything with a hood on a bad day? I hate the rain. My hair is curly enough. I don't need the rain making it any worse and me looking like a complete bedhead.

What do you value most?
"My family. It's pretty much me and my Mom. My uncle helps out sometimes like giving me my job in the first place but yeah. I'm trying my best to make things easy for her now that I'm older. She's the main reason I haven't landed in hospital doing dumb stuff as a kid more times than enough so I owe her a lot."

What will make you instantly lose respect for a person?
"Snobbish behaviour. Honestly, I don't care how many more zeros are in your bank account just don't be a dick to the person grabbing your coffee for you."

Do you have any petpeeves?
"....Answering questions about myself haha. No point in lying. I'm hating every second of this...What else...Oh! When people just...bite straight into a Popsicle like a psychopath. How does ice crunching like that not feel horrible?! And the noise is just. I feel like shuddering just thinking about it. Another is people just grabbing food off my plate, sure I do share my food but don't just steal it off me if I didn't offer. Did that sound petty?...I guess I have food aggression haha."
Do you have any hobbies?
"I build custom RC cars for fun. Working in my uncles repair shop gives me access to all his tools whenever and working with actual cars means I'm familiar with all the small details to make them proper little miniatures. I've been told I should try to sell a few but each takes so much work its hard to part with them once they are done. I guess I'm a little sentimental."

"I'm pretty decent at basketball. I was on the team in middle school but I decided to give it a miss now for my last few years of school"

Country music kills my ears, even if my hands are covered in oil while working at my uncles garage I will run to change the radio station if country hour comes on. "Pretty average I guess. We didn't have much so my mom had to work a lot but it was still a pretty happy childhood for me. Just lots of hospital visits from me being a pretty hyper kid that would climb trees and dumb stuff like that."

What kind of student are you?
The quiet but distracted kind. Caspin addresses schooling with acquiescence, if not complete disinterest. He's of above-average intelligence where the school system is concerned, but he finds himself ill-equipped for life outside of it. Caspin scores an 'A' average when applied, but for the most part can't be bothered, which grants him low 'B's. Caspin is rather set in his belief that testing is an outdated and largely irrelevant method of measuring one's intelligence. That said, you wouldn't find Caspin gloating about this unconventional mentality -- he's reserved and highly self-deprecating.

His teachers describe Caspin as 'peculiar;' a clever fellow who chooses to exercise his intelligence elsewhere. They insist he pay more attention to his grades and constantly try to set him up with tutors, all matters which Caspin has outright declined, disobeyed, or wriggled out of. His work ethic and motivation are inconsistent and perpetually shifting; Caspin is well-known for receiving sudden shocks of energy late at night or while on holiday, leading to spur-of-the-moment grinds lasting multiple hours. Caspin is fond of botany, but he is aware, and slightly perturbed, that his lackluster study habits and sliding grades are preventing him from entering this field. He vehemently opposes the idea of entering medicine, as the occupation expected of a person with hemokinesis. He despises his ability and does his best to avoid it. Currently he just feels like curling up in a ditch and waiting for the earth to reclaim him.

Do you have any part-time jobs?
"Who'd want to hire a bloodsucker?"

Caspin makes very little, primarily made up of odd-jobs. His neighbors generally prefer hiring others, due to Caspin's overall strangeness, dangerous ability, and prickly attitude, leaving him out of work and unwilling to apply for steady jobs. He still relies on his family to provide for him.

"No. I spend all my time staring at walls." His voice drips sarcasm.

Though it may come as a surprise, Caspin loves music. It is one of the few things he can use to calm himself in times of stress. In his spare time he seeks to replicate his favorite melodies or concoct new tunes using a cheap ukulele and a drum machine. He's an amateur at best, but he finds it relaxing, and that's what matters the most to him.

Caspin also indulges in charcoal and pencil drawings, often copied from life. He does landscape art and still life, and he's a whiz with watercolor. His bedroom is speckled with his own works. Also in his bedroom, on a little shelf, he cares for a number of small ferns.

Finally, he can be found taking walks in overgrown, natural areas, carrying a pad of paper and a pencil. He writes notes on the wildlife he finds and regularly checks up on his favorite spots as the seasons change. He's very interested in natural processes. Caspin also presses flowers, but not often.

Caspin is a far cry from 'sporty.' His physique is maintained through nature walks and forgetting to eat. On the odd occasion, when the weather is too poor for outdoor activities, Caspin engages in short yoga sessions. It's a nice way for him to stay limber without straining himself. "Average?"

Standing at an astonishing 5'6'' and weighing in at 144 pounds, Caspin is most aptly described as a 'small fry.' Thin, but wiry and resilient, he's likened to an adolescent sapling or a household evergeen. He boasts a mop of curly dark hair and a soft, solemn-looking face, which, if not for the tiredness in his eyes, would frame him as younger than he is. Caspin neglects to style his hair after waking up in the morning, offering at most a comb through with his fingers. It's thick, but still somehow wispy and light, tousling easily in the wind or against the fabric of his clothes.

What makes Caspin stand out the most are his eyes -- tinted with saltwater blue and freckled with colors of the forest. For all of the beauty in his irises Caspin spends most of his time with his eyes downcast or cloudy as he daydreams, shadowing their stark color. They catch light at the slightest notion of it, basking in its rays.

His skin is lightly touched with sun spots and beauty marks, the most notable resting above his lip, on his cheeks, his collarbone, and the wrist of his right hand. On his other hand, Caspin wears an adhesive bandage wrapped with gauze. A poorly-healed gash mars the pale skin beneath it. It isn't the only wound on Caspin's countenance - he is crossed with the soft pink of scarred flesh along his wrists and arms. These marks are the result of practice with his hemokinetic power.

What's your style?
Mostly discordant, with emphasis on clothes that are loose and comfortable. Caspin prefers to keep his skin covered, by manner of clothing, gloves, or bandages. It inhibits use of his hemokinesis, and has been done this way deliberately. Caspin can be found in muted spring or autumn colors, gentle hues used to capture his personal flair without drawing attention to himself. He's not particularly fashionable, but it isn't far beyond Caspin to spend a few minutes coordinating. His wardrobe is plain, but effective, mainly consisting of jeans, hooded jackets, graphic tee and button-up shirts, and cargo pants. Calla Levy | Mother | Spiritualism
Calla is Caspin's quiet, anxious mother. She is a diligent housewife whose hobbies include reading and occasionally pottery. In Caspin's youth she was a much livelier woman, but in the wake of his ability surfacing she is terribly meek. Although she loves Caspin dearly, she harbors a small amount of fear toward him. Heartbreaking to both of them, she tends to keep her distance. Calla strays from physical affection nowadays, but with Caspin she is as talkative as he'll allow, interviewing him on his day at school, or what he'd seen in the forest that evening -- she'll encourage him to blather on about his interests and she listens intently. She just won't come too close. It hurts mutually, but it's safe for both of them. It works out.

Calla has the ability to see, hear, and communicate with the spirits of the dead, provided they are willing to converse. She cannot perceive spirits unless they reveal themselves to her. Spirits choose Calla over the average person because she is inherently tuned into their wavelength; it costs much less energy for a spirit to reach her, enough so that they are able to speak to her. She works with police stations and the grieving to provide closure surrounding untimely deaths.

Anton Levy | Father | Technopathy
Caspin's father was always a workaholic, usually only in the house long enough for a short dinner and a kiss on the cheek. He's a respected businessman at some faceless electronics conglomerate and a glamorous socialite; a regular at yacht parties or rooftop barbecues. The power of technopathy - with which Anton can reprogram devices, send electrical signals, and write E-mail, text messages and documents in programs like Word without the need for an interface - makes him an indispensable asset to any business. Anton is one of many talented technokinetic programmers in his business. Many of his colleagues would consider him the best in his field. Because he's so busy (and endlessly sociable), Anton has never had much time for his family. He entered his current position shortly after Caspin was born. But however long he would need to spend away from home, Anton was always home for birthdays and the holidays. Up until a few years ago he was as active a family man as he could be. He showered his children in gifts when he was away and hardly left them when home.

This bliss lasted until a weekend in July, a few days after Caspin Levy's thirteenth birthday. That morning, Caspin awoke with one hell of a nosebleed. As Calla rushed the boy to the bathroom to clean up, Anton noticed the spatters of blood on the floor trailing after them had instantly crystallised, forming jagged red spikes on the floor. Experimenting, he ordered Caspin to 'just stop bleeding.' Caspin cried, "I can't, I'm trying," but within minutes the river-like flow had ceased entirely. After a consultation with a local doctor, Caspin's ability was classified as 'hemokinesis' or 'hemopathy,' a dangerous power often antagonised in films and by the superpower culture.

Simply put, Anton did not approve of it. Originally meant to leave the following Monday, he left the evening of the diagnosis without so much as a goodbye. From that day forward, he avoided visiting his family entirely. He sends them money in weekly installments, treating them incredibly formally. He firmly believes his son will go on to hurt other people. Since then Caspin, disgrace to the Levy name and killer of its bloodline, has received little more than a few birthday cards.

Magdalene Lange | Mentor; former nurse | Hemokinesis
Maggie Lange is an elderly woman recruited by Caspin's family to aid him in harnessing the power of hemokinesis. She is gentle and compassionate, an opposite to the cruel ability she and Caspin share. Maggie reached out to Caspin's family after catching word of his disconcerting skills. She relocated to their area and offered to tutor him free of charge. She knew firsthand how hard it had been to overcome the sadness of the burden and the stigma surrounding it, and was determined to help Caspin come to terms with, practice, and hopefully embrace his rare and dangerous power.

Maggie was a nurse in her youth, led to the profession through hemokinesis and her caring personality. She retired when she turned seventy, although her desire to lend help did not for a second falter. She volunteered around her hometown in schools and gardens and was an active member town functions and public meetings. She was drawn to Caspin after a user on a forum she frequented mentioned feeling disconnected from her newly-hemokinetic son. She expressed anguish that he had begun to isolate himself from the family for what he claimed was 'for their own safety.' The mother had only very recently joined the forum, which was a meetingplace for people with rare or undesirable abilities. She said that she was nervous about seeking help from strangers online, but had hit a dead-end with standard therapy. She had asked if any users were, specialised in, or knew any hemokinetic people, and if they could provide some of their insight.

Maggie responded to her immediately. They talked for months and became close friends outside of the forum. Maggie suggested she come around to mentor Caspin and take up residence nearby. She'd been a widow for twenty years and had grown restless in her hometown. After a number of long conversations, Calla finally agreed. Although Caspin had spoken to Maggie before on the phone and bore no ill will toward her, he was, of course, disagreeable. But inevitably, Caspin came around. He and Maggie practice in his backyard after class on Wednesdays and Fridays. The two of them get along great.

Learned Skills

Psychic and Kinetic Manipulation
As the hydrokinetic guides streams of seawater, or the pyrokinetic commands wisps of flame, so does the hemokinetic control the flow of human blood, moving it with nothing but the strength of their mind. Like ribbons playing in the wind, the hemokinetic's spilled blood dances through the air and on the surfaces of objects without hindrance. One can even redirect the flow of blood within the body. This is the simplest, and most common, sub-skill of hemokinesis -- even Caspin Levy can pull it off on a whim.

Blood Solidification
Similar to the process of water freezing into ice, Caspin can solidify his blood into crystalline formations by manually pulling the atoms of red blood cells together. These crystal shapes can include, but aren't limited to: 3D geometry, bladed weapons, blunt weapons, and equipment such as ropes and tools. Young and inexperienced, Caspin is currently only capable of sculpting simple shapes and small blades. This skill is completely unique to Caspin and is the subject of much scrutiny.

Blood Transfusion and Recovery
Providing the recipient is of the same blood type as its owner, Caspin may siphon either his own blood into the body of a participant, or vice versa. He is easily able to return spilled blood of the same type to himself, but he struggles returning it to others. (There aren't a lot of opportunities to practice other methods of transfusion.) As noted in most documented cases, this technique is typically reserved for the self or close companions, as it is difficult to determine a donor's blood type without knowing prior to the transfusion. Blood of each type responds slightly differently when controlled by or in contact with a hemokinetic person, but unless they are attuned to the difference, most are likely not to notice. It's unlikely that hemokinetic people capable of this skill, who aren't experienced medical professionals, or regularly exposed to lots of blood, can identify blood types on the fly.

Accelerated Hemostasis
Hemostasis is the scientific word for the phrase 'blood clotting,' a process triggered when blood vessels are damaged. Hemostasis promotes phagocytosis, which occurs as white blood cells absorb dead and damaged tissue within the wound. When the clot is properly formed and cleaned, the tissue will begin to repair itself. Hemostasis, depending on the wound, can take from twelve to twenty-four hours, but for Caspin it can last as long as six hours at maximum. Most hemokinetic people willing to be studied were capable of accelerated hemostasis from the moment their powers awakened, since it is described as being 'as easy as visualizing the clot forming, just really, really fast.' To hone this skill is another thing: after constant practice and with unbreakable focus, some hemokinetic people can form a clot almost instantly. Caspin, though hemophilic, has trained enough to cut his time down to less than a third of the normal rate, after excursions in wooded areas regularly granted him some nasty cuts.

Untapped Potential

Artificial Adrenaline
Adrenaline, or epinephrine, is a hormone present in both the adrenal glands and as a cluster of neurons in the brain's medulla oblongata. The release of epinephrine into the body is an adrenomedullary response which occurs following stress. In most cases of hemokinesis, users reported being able to emulate the effect of adrenaline on the body on the muscular system simply by increasing blood flow to the muscles. While not particularly useful outside of sports or hard labor, it's a common sub-ability among hemokinetics, having been practiced in over sixty percent of study participants 'just in case.' Historically nonathletic, it comes as no surprise that Caspin has neglected to learn this skill.

Blood Leeching
The act of 'blood leeching' was declared to be illegal in an index of laws 'regarding the use of superhuman abilities against humanity', a bill which first passed after the first case of hemokinesis was acknowledged. In court, it is charged as 'assault with superhuman power,' and can earn a maximum of 14 years incarceration, unless the act resulted in one or more unlawful killings, in which case it fits into any of three degrees of murder or manslaughter. Blood leeching is recognized by the court as a deliberate attack, as those who practice it have described performing it as 'directing all focus toward the mental image of pulling one's blood out through their pores or other orifices.'

Though controversial, blood leeching is still learned today as a means of self-defense. It isn't part of Caspin's repertoire, fortunately, as his control over his power is far from perfect - and misuse of this particular power could be devastating.

Blood Bending
An offshoot of psychic manipulation, blood bending is caused by commandeering the blood within someone else's body. The blood reacts to this as if it were a system of ribbons, which could be pulled or torn. It's another ability banned by law. Blood bending can be used to bend the extremities of the victim to breaking, break through the skin, or constrict their organs to the point of bursting. Unlike blood leeching, this sub-ability is seldom practiced, owing to its raw destructive potential, the likes of which tends to turn away the average hemokinetic. It's theorized that this ability could subconsciously awaken in an event of extreme stress in order to protect the user. Caspin is frightened by this ability, and as such has no intention of learning it - but this doesn't mean it isn't laying dormant within him.

What are its limits?

Hemoptysis
Coughing up blood is a common side effect with hemokinesis, occurring shortly after prolonged or intense use of the ability. It's largely harmless to the average hemokinetic, who can simply return the spilled blood to their body, but in anemic users, it can escalate pre-existing symptoms. Caspin is regularly victim to hemoptysis, and it often exacerbates the exhaustion he feels after using his power.

Fatigue
Feeling fatigue is universal in hemokinetic people. Both use of mental energy and loss of blood contributes to this tiredness. It's common to see regular cat-naps in your hemokinetic friends - especially so in Caspin, who is generally rather lethargic.

Hemolytic Anemia
Anemia, while not often present in hemokinetic people, unfortunately ails poor Caspin Levy, whose red blood cells are destroyed more often than they are produced. This limits the amount of time and blood he can regularly invest in his ability. To put it simply, anemia grants him a certain amount of 'charges' per day. Menial tasks can cost one charge, but larger displays can cost as much as five. When his energy runs out, Caspin is left exhausted, hungry, and short of breath. It's incredibly important he eats a protein-rich meal - including eggs, lean meat, nuts, cheese, or yogurt - before bed, to promote more red blood cell production. Caspin tries to make as little use as possible of his powers to avoid crashes.

Hemophilia
Hemophilia is a condition which severely reduces the ability of blood clotting. Plenty of hemokinetic people are born with this condition, as it offers them more blood to work with in situations where it may be necessary. Nowadays it's seen more as a curse than a benefit - they are more likely to bleed profusely from even slight injuries and waste their energy quickly clotting them. Already anemic, Caspin struck out even further, first experiencing hemophilia when his powers surfaced almost three years ago.

Hypovolemic Shock / Hypovolemia
A person is sent into hypovolemic shock when they have lost over one fifth of their body's blood supply. Hypovolemia refers to the three stages before critical hypovolemic shock. If 750ml / 15% of blood is lost, or in the case of a hemokinetic person, outside of the body, they have officially entered stage one of hypovolemic shock, and symptoms include paled skin and feelings of anxiety. At 1500ml / 30%, they enter stage two, in which they may experience increased heart and breathing rates. They may become sweaty or clammy, and feel more anxious. In stage three, a person has lost over 1500ml / 30% of their blood, but have not yet lost more than 2000ml / 40%. They will see dramatically increased heart (over 120bpm) and breathing rate, cold skin, and mental distress. They are likely to lose control over their ability. Stage four exceeds 2000ml, and places the user in a critical situation. Their heart rate will continue to increase, but their pulse will be weak. Breathing will become difficult, but remain high-speed. They will begin to drift in and out of consciousness, rendering them unable to properly use hemokinesis. At this stage there is not enough blood to pump consistently to the organs. If not treated immediately, the user will experience complete organ failure.

Restricted Diet
Hemokinesis demands its user eat large meals rich in protein on a regular basis. Without these meals the body struggles to produce enough red blood cells to facilitate the use of this power, which leaves them feeling weak and sluggish.

Limited to the Self
Most hemokinetics, including Caspin, struggle to perform feats of their power on others. Most are averse to the idea, as a botched spell can cause serious damage. It is also incredibly difficult, though not impossible, for a hemokinetic person to manipulate the blood of animals or other non-human creatures.

Unpredictable
Although he sees a mentor to train his power, Caspin is still very new to hemokinesis. It presents a significant amount of danger if not handled correctly. As a result, he's incredibly impersonal, anti-social, and guarded. Hemopathy severely hinders his ability to lead a normal life, as it is recommended he avoid marrying or starting a family. Caspin is known to manifest sudden spikes of solid blood from beneath his skin when under extreme emotional stress. Having pierced the skin in the process, Caspin continues to bleed, which in turn crystallises into more sharp spires. His mother Calla has also reported feeling her skin tighten up or begin to feel hot when Caspin is angry or anxious in her vicinity. If he doesn't keep his emotions in check, it could kill him.

How does your power manifest visually?
- All manipulation of blood outside of the body can be clearly seen.
- Caspin must flex his wrists and hands while performing feats of hemokinesis. The better he gets at it, he less he'll need to.
- Caspin bleeds more from small injuries and bleeds more often in general.
- Blood that has been solidified is seen as either completely solid like ice or malleable like jelly.

What kind of student are you?
This is highly fluctating on how they feel. One moment, mostly when they are in their more feminine persona, they are the studious and hardworking kind of student. From early age on it was obvious they had to make sure to get all their knowledge and schoolwork done in class, for at home there would be no time for it. In a way, school was the only escape they had, so they tried to hold onto it with both hands as strong as possible. They are almost the type of student to remind teachers of forgotten home work or duedates. Almost, for they know that will make them unpopular with the class, and they don't need any more negative attention on them. While they try hard, the home situation often makes them unable to preform their best. However when they are more in touch with their masculine side, they often have a far more negative outlook. More often than not this comes from the down spiraling homelife and while trying to hold onto school as their only escape it became obvious school couldn't do shit for them, so they lost interest, they lost motivation and they couldn't care less anymore. Don't even try to call them out on the behaviour, for they will not let you finish. They just wanna get out of that place, out of the city and out of this life. So detention is pretty much an permanent part of the school schedule.

This behaviour is very much reflected in their marks. They skip up and down from A's to low D's and back up. Mostly first fucking up tests and then studying like their life depends on it for the retake. In group project this fluctating behaviour shows as well. When more feminine they really do their part and help a lot. They are motivated and actively are part of the group, yet atother times they don't even care to show up and won't respond to any texts, calls or emails. So working with them can be quite frustrating.

What clique would you say you belong to if you wear in a typical clichy american High School movie?
Rebels and goths. Even though they do not follow the clothing style of the later group, they feel most at home with this groups of misfits and outcasts. They are accepted, no matter what mood they are in and they have a place to let their negativity out without having to worry.

What do you plan on doing after your senior year?
They have no plans yet, other then getting the fuck out of town and build a new life somewhere far far far away.

Do you have any part time jobs?
"Not any legal ones..."
Bartending, even though they are not old enough for this. It is a rather notorious kind of bar where not the best of people come... And they either have a pretty face and nice rack, or a loud mouth and quick wit.
How would you describe yourself?
Charlie is around 5'7" or 5'8" in lenght, they didn't bother to measure it precisely. Their build is pretty much average, a bit on the skinny side pershaps, but nothing really noteworthy with an average weight of 145 lbs. So regarding those stats they are not that exciting. Their hair ranges from dark blond at the roots to golden blond at the ends, so your typical blonde. Their hairlenght is currently at shoulder length, which is a bit longer at the front than in the back. Their eyes are a distrusting grey-blue, which again is pretty usual with the look. So all together there is not much out of ordinary about them, they are just one of a million. Which they actually are very happy about, since it is easy for them to switch, slide and range from both masculine looks to feminine looks.

What kind of clothes do you usually wear?
As everything in Charlies life, their looks and clothing style vary greatly. They can range from fairly feminine with usually bright colors, to something more androgynous with mostly toned down greys and browns, to convincively masculine with a more edgy style and dark colors. No matter their circumstances, Charlie is almost always seen wearing something that covers up their arms, whether this is by a longsheeved shirt, a sweater, hoodie, demin jacket or blazer, their arms are mostly covered. Likewise their legs are most of the time covered up, with pants of varying material and colors, though most of time they chose either demin jeans or baggy cargo pants. Of course for a masculine look, their binder is an often used clothing piece to flatten out and cover up their small B-cup breasts. If they wear any make up, it mostly is only a quick eyeliner and some mascara.

What would you call your best attributes?
"Persistent and determinded." Charlie is not the kind of person to be easily brought down or let themselves be set back. If they want something, they will find a way to get there. They are a fighter and a survivor and even in dark times, part of them will always push through.
"I have a very high moral. No one sways me from my beliefs." Even if their morals may not align with everyones, they will never go against what they truly believe in and stand for. Charlie believes that if you want change, you have to make it yourself. They also believe in absolute right of life and the full freedom of speech, but that does not mean people can walk away from the consequences, whatever those may be. This also means that Charlie won't be easy swayed in their opinion on someone one by gossips and rumors, they will always check with the rumored person for the truth.
"A listening ear and shoulder to lean on." Despite not really looking like it, or even behaving like it, Charlie can be a really good listener for people with trouble. Their advice may not always be the best or given at all, but they will listen to you for hours. However they may get fed up if it is the same drama over and over and over again without you doing anything to chance it.
"Open minded." They refuse to judge anyone at first glance until they have the full story or met the person themselves. Charlie will not condemn you on stories they have heard, or how you look, or if your behaviour even if it clashes with theirs. They may of course avoid you, but they give everyone the same fair chance.

What would you call your worse attributes?
"I guess I am rude? I just call it being straight forward." Though Charlie would never go out of their way to insult someone, they can be a bit blunt and not that considerate of others and their feelings. They just are straightforward and don't beat around the bush.
"I am pretty trigger happy, defensive and violent..." If Charlie feels (personally) attacked they will quickly get defensive and even work up quite some anger. Though they do try their hardest to deal with their anger themselves, they are also known to throw a mean punch.
"Closed off and distant." While Charlie knows how to be social and they can be very social, they are too afraid to truly let someone in to their life. They like to keep people at a distance.
"Perhaps I am a bit emo as well..." They have a pretty bad and negative outlook on life and humanity. Their dark humor and cynical remarks often hold a spark of truth. Though they would never take their own life, there are moments they certainly would not mind being run over by a truck...

What are three things that can make your day?
"Butterflies and bumblebees." It may be silly, but seeing a pretty fluttering butterfly or hearing a fat bumblebee stuck in a flower, can almost instantly brighten their mood and often takes them away from very dark places.
"Coming home to an empty or silent house." It means they are either home alone, or at least able to do something for themselves without being disturbed and they don't have to worry about their parents.
"Smores. Or fresh marshmallows in general." They never had the chance to eat them often, but the fluffy sweet stuff gives them a lot of good feelings. And remind them of that one secret lake bbq when they had snuck out of home the first time.

What are three things that can ruin your day?
"Low iron levels..." Due to having sever iron deficiency anemia drops in their iron level can have rather disastrous results, even more thanks to their power.
"Hugs" It will make them feel extremely uncomfortable and awkward. Most likely it makes them wish to just disappear right the instant it happens.
"Being misgendered on purpose." They won't get mad if you do not know any better, becasue they haven't told their prefered pronouns yet, or something like that. Charlie understands that people will still label them male or female based on how they are dressed. But if you are familiar with them, and know their preference and still call them female (or male) then it can really make them pissed and annoyed.

What do you value most?
"Honesty. No matter how ugly, how heartbreaking or insulting it may be. I need to know what I can expect..."

What will make you instantly lose respect for a person?
"Willfull discrimination of any kind, and yes this includes rasicsm and sexism and homophobia and so on. If you think any person is better than some other person for whatever reason other than that persons specific behaviour, just get out of my life."

Do you have any petpeeves?
"Excuses, those are not apologies... Just own up to your mistakes and make a change. Don't blame it on other stuff, or people, or circumstances or whatever."
"Overly sharing people. If I just met you, I really couldn't care less about the dog of your aunt on your dads side..."
"People that complain, just to complain. Fix things if you are unhappy! Otherwise shut up!"
Do you have any hobbies?
Lepidopterology: Charlie likes to study butterflies and moths and can keep themselves hours busy with this. They hope to one day be able to collect them as well, but they do not dare to do that in their current family home.

None. There is no money for it. And Charlie doesn't want to waste their escape-money on it.

Possibilities with the powers
There are a lot of ways to use this powers. At the absolute master level it may even bring semi-immortality. There are two different types of healing: ego-healig and alter-healing. The first one is when one heals themselves. The second one being when one heals someone else. Then there are two ways of healing: internal healing and external healing. Internal healing is focused on the internal body, thus organs, bones, muscles and nerves. While external healing focuses on external wounds of the skin. Though Charlie tries to keep up with both ego and alter healing, their ego-healing is far stronger and almost happens automatically.

Accelerated Healing: healing quicker than normal humans from any physical injury. This works on both internal as external wounds and damages of the body.
Body part restoration: restoring body parts that have been lost, cut off or otherwise severed from the body. Charlie is able to do this for smaller body parts and as long as they are still partly attatched to the body. They have no experience doing this through alter-healing though or in general with complex body parts, such as the eyes.
Cellular activation: activating cells with in a body to speed up their functions or increas their attributes. This way broken bones for instance can be healed faster, due to increasing the speed of the calluses forming and being replaced. It also goes against scar tissue and helps with burnwounds. Charlie is not yet familiar with this for alter-healing, they have done this for ego-healing.
Curing: restoring the body to their normal condition by removing illnesses, diseases or mutations. It can also be used against other powers such as hynosis, illusions or mind-control. Charlie has no experience with this so far, though they are interested in it.
Detection: the skill to detect an disease or illness in a person. Charlie has not spend any attention on developing this skill, and has no intention to do so either.
Cleansing: bodily impurities will be forced out of the body. This only applies to stuff that is put in the body, like drugs, medicine, alcohol etc. Charlie has done this through alter-healing with alcohol and drugs.
Limb reattachment: after (full) seperation from the body the limb will be reattached. This may be limited at the start by how long the limb has been seperated for a succesful reattachment. Charlie cannot do this yet, but may look into this later on.
Regrowth: this can apply to bodyparts and organs. This may be limited by the time and complexity of the regrowth. Charlie has no experience with this yet.
Reversed Healing: undoing the healing or restoration of a person or making existing wounds and damages more sever. Charlie has done this as a form of self-defense, where they had little control over it.

Weaknesses of the power
It takes a lot of energy to heal themselves, and even more to heal another person. Depending on how big, deep and/or complicated the damage or wound is, they will need an hour to several hours of sleep to catch up, especially when healing others. When healing others, they need at least a direct visual of the wound or damage or direct physical connection to the person close to the wound. Another weakness would be the overprotectiveness of their power that could result in reverse healing of the other person. This also causes the power to focus on ego-healing, even if someone else is more severly hurt, which means there is no energy left to do the required alter-healing. Last but not least they have to keep the (current) limititation of their power in mind, thus for now that means no regrowhth or even reattatchments, nor any heroic savings when someones heart has stopped. They will still have to preform normal CPR.

How long did you have your power?
Charlie had their power for four years now. It kicked in when the abuse got more severe. While it helped with a quick recovery, it wasn't helpful to get prove against their fathers abuse in order to be placed out under child services and thus get out of the house. By the time they had gotten to the hospital to make pictures the wounds and bruises would be healed, even internal damage was mostly gone or not significant enough to be linked to his fathers doings.

How does your power usually show itself?
Obviously by healing them faster or taking care of other peoples wounds and damages. One of the more gruesome ways to show itself is through its reversed healing when they feel threatened and their sudden blood crazes and vampiric tendencies when their iron level drops. Due to their body wanting to prevent iron defiency anemia, it will try to restore the blood levels as soon as possible by drinking actual blood from the closest possible victim. If there is no living person nearby, Charlie will munch on ice or dirt.
What kind of upbringing have you had?
They grew up in a rather problematic household. His father had never been happy with their arrival. First of all, they were not the son his father had hoped for, and couldn't even behave like the daughter they were suppose to be then. His father ruled the house with an iron fist, and a belt or wooden spone, or fire rod or whatever he could find, if necessary. Their mother was afraid and silent, neither daring to protect herself, nor her child. Through they were not poor, any money was always spend on the parents, or mostly his father, and his materialistic needs. Never once did their mother or them get any money. They had a roof over their head, clothes on their body and they were even allowed to go to school, so they should be happy. When they turned twelve, they learned to talk back and stand up for themselves and slowly the abuse got worse and worse. At fifteen, their father had caused several internal bleedings, causing them to be hospitalized, but thanks to his own power the doctors couldn't hold them for long and their father didn't want to 'waste' more money. At sixteen, they got a job at a closeby shady bar, but they didn't care. Slowly they were able to put some money aside to hope and escape the hellhole they lived in one day.

Any family ties?
They have a father and mother, and probably some grandparents they never met. They don't care much about their family or parents. They want to cut those ties as soon as possible.

"Only losers...

How far have you gone sexually?
Despite the rumors and gossips, Charlie is very innocent in the bedroom department. And honestly, they have no intention to ever change that. They don't see the appeal of any of it. It is just dirty, sweaty and what all not.

What kind of student are you?
She's the type to turn in her homework late, beg the teacher for extra credit, get the nerd to do it for her, and then continue to blow off future work. Tests were something that just "came" to her, and by that she meant that she studied all through the night before and stayed up during that time like a responsible human being, long enough for her to get passable marks and to pass out for the rest of the school day. It's actually incredibly easy to fall asleep in class when you don't need to have real, functioning eyes.

Instead of focusing on school work, she spends her time on her "after school activities", all of them being entirely recreational or work-related. Cassie prioritizes her time with friends over anything, spending plenty of time in malls or at their houses doing various things, chief among those is "jamming". She's the lead guitarist and vocals for her band, The Unicorns Tribute Band, with her best friend Yvonne on percussion and brother Achilles on bass. It's one of her favorite things, since her abilities are entirely physical, her voice is and will always be her own.

She actually chooses to hang out with her close group of three or so friends she's kept for years and years. Sure, she's the rich kid of the group who drives the car, but they all have the same interests at the end of the day: each other. And music, and some nerdy shit, but nobody needs to know about that.

What do you plan on doing after your senior year?
Pursuing the acting career her dad is handing her on a plate. It's part of her passion and she can't really say no to something like that. Half of the annoying part about acting (looking the part at all times) is just something she can do on command, the other half (acting the part) is something she enjoys for the most part. Her philosophy is that at the end of the day, you don't need an A in trigonometry to be a successful actor when you can be anybody or anything you want.

Do you have any part time jobs?
She's got a modeling career for obvious reasons. The photoshop work is heavily lessened when you can apply the effects in real life, unrealistic proportions and all. It's not something she doesn't like, but she wouldn't want to do it forever. She's honestly just happy she gets to eat garbage and still be thin when it counts.

Cassie would describe herself as a mostly patient person who cares about her friends more than anything, because her appearance shifts too often to have a concrete description of.

However, if you were to ask her, "How would you describe your favorite appearance right now?" that's an entirely different story. First order of business, she's albino by choice. Like, snow white skin, hair, fingernails, even eyes. Everything about her is completely white, except for her clothing. She's got paper white hair that stretches down to her back, and she stands at... 5'2? Usually? That's about the most concrete she can get. Tattoos, scars, weight, and the like are all on-the-spot transformations that can appear whenever she wants, asides from a piercing, which she doesn't really want, asides from the one she got on her tongue. Even then, it wasn't even a real piercing. She simply split her tongue, and had it reform around the piercing. Lots of practice for that.

What kind of clothes do you usually wear? (General attire/style)
Ever heard of "pastel goth"? Mostly black on white clothing with soft colors, with a sort of self-aware grunge aesthetic. Surprisingly, Cassie is colorblind, and finds this style to be easy on the eyes. In addition, her purposefully inhumanly pale, near alien, skin really helps with the aesthetic she's going for. Lots of baggy clothing and hoodies too big for her with little morbid graphics on them. Surprisingly, she doesn't like to show too much skin.

What celebrity are you often compared to or confused with? (Face Claim)
Ever since seeing miss Nastya Zhidkova, she decided that albino people are incredibly aesthetic, and decided that her skin should also follow suit. Her friends think it's a bit strange but could honestly care less.

"They say honesty is the best quality, and honestly I'm kinda the best, but I'll cut it down to three if you really want.

So we'll keep going with that actually. First off, I'm honest, honest as hell. If your shirt's got a stain on it and people are being too 'polite' to tell you, I'll tell you straight to your face. 'Bro, your outfit's ugly as fuck. Go change it, I don't want to be seen outside with you lookin' like that. Just ask if you want to borrow a sweater first.' Is it cute? Is it nice? No, I don't really care either. I'll tell you how it is, because who the fuck else is? "

"Second, I don't really give a shit about what most people think about me." Cassie never had a concern for what others ever thought of her, and wears that overwhelming self confidence on her sleeve. If she has a problem with somebody, she'll address them personally and unload her entire and full honest opinion unto them. This goes both ways, actually. If she receives the same treatment, she could really care less, and refute with equal and sarcastic energy.

"Surprisingly? Unsurprisingly? I've got a crapton of patience for my friends." Never, has she ever not had an ear to give or a shoulder to lean on. Yes, if one were to come to her for those amenities, she would spit back all their problems in their face in the most blunt and obvious manner. However, she'd give her own hotfix or advice on what she'd do if she had that problem, and the steps she'd take given her friend's circumstance. She's always one to give constructive critism, and finds that it's the fastest (if not most brutal) way to become better at whatever you want.

"So like, I don't know what you're trying to get at. Worst attributes? Really? God, didn't know I had to admit to this shit."

"Yeah, so I get that honesty's a double edged sword sometimes, but I really could give less of a shit." Cassie is honest to a fault, and knows it, and doesn't care. She doesn't really know how to be 'nice' to people in the more conventional sense. She understands other people's emotions deeply, but more than often disregards them on such an extent that it's irrelevant as to how other people feel when she does something. They simply have to take what she dishes out, and whether or not she truly cares about their retort is a matter of separate discussion.

"You might get the wrong idea, but I really don't have the fucking patience for people sometimes." Though she does have a well of patience for her friends, for other people she doesn't really know, she doesn't really care. There's such a utter, purposeful callousness to her when she deals with anybody outside of her circle of friends, that the notion of "No, no, really she's really a nice person once you get to know her!" is usually lost upon others when they first meet her.

"I've heard it, 'Cassie, don't you care?' The answer is no, I really don't, and don't tell me I should. You're not my mom." Often times, if it doesn't immediately concern or entertain her, she lets it slip off to the wayside. People? Parties? If it's a week away, she might not make it because she's got something more pressing happening right then and there, and honestly planning's for nerds anyways. Schoolwork? She can probably pay somebody to finish it for her. She comes off as forgetful or disinterested in most things, and that would be a correct judgement.

What are three things that can make your day?
"Bro. Getting food. You want to be my friend? Let's go to fuckin' taco bell and get some fuckin' tacos. Then I guess you're okay in my book." She's a simple person. Food makes her happy. You want to make her happy? Go get her some food. Easy as that.

Listening to her type of music makes her day. Whether it's while she's walking around in the mall and Weezer happens to be playing at Hot Topic or she's hanging out with Yvonne after a long day and her bestie puts on their playlist. You know she's having a good day when she's singing along.

Learning new things. Yeah, sounds odd to the standoffish, no-patience Cassandra. She appreciates when people take the time to try and teach her hard headed ass something new for the sake of whatever the hell the reason is they're trying to teach her this thing. A sport? Sure. A history lesson? Fuck it, let's hear it. A game? Sure, never tried that one out before. She'll try it, and appreciates the effort to try and make whatever she's learning entertaining.

What are three things that can ruin your day?
Something popping up last minute, whether it be important or responsibility, is something she hates. Though she disregards most things that happen far off, she does actually like knowing when they come up, because she keeps a mental track of these things. When something sidelines her out of nowhere, she is much less excited about doing that thing than she would've been otherwise.

Pop music. Pop music is the absolute fucking worst. The manufactured feel of the songs, how they all sound the same, and the dime a dozen assholes who choose to listen to that shit on a regular basis! Pop music makes her want to throw up, and the parties and people that play it are two things she hates just as well.

Asking her to turn into your favorite character, person, or whatever irritates her to no end. No, she's not going to turn into your fucking waifu so you can jack off to her later on. Ew. Possibilities with the powers
Appearance modification: Cassie has complete and utter control over her physical form, with the ability to gain or lose weight on a whim, adjust her height, skin tone, eye color, hair length, and other normal human features. However, she also has the ability to grow or lose extra pieces of her body as well. Dragon scales or bird feathers are not uncommon for her if they fit whatever look she's going for at the time, and extra digits, limbs, eyes, and other sensory organs are not uncommon either. Cassie has been known to grow cat ears, a fully functional tail, smooth over her own facial features (mouth, nose, eyes) and grow gills in their place.

Elemental conjuration: In addition to altering her appearance, Cassandra has the innate ability to summon elements (mostly organic materials) from within. Elements include but are not limited to: fire, water, minerals, dirt, wood, gusts of wind, plastic on incredibly rare occasion, blood and more. Usually, these manifest themselves by some sort of 'thematic' output, such as breathing fire, spouting water, or throwing up dirt. These elements have no predetermined source, but do take a toll on Cassie in their own way.

Weaknesses of the power
Cassie, despite being comfortable with shapeshifting, does not know how to do anything more than what was mentioned above. Extra limbs are more for show than anything, as they appear limp and lifeless, evidence that Cassie doesn't know how to control them yet. Extra eyes, fingers, and other extraneous human features are always non-functional as well, as she cannot see through the extra eyes or use her extra fingers. The most she can do with an extra limb is a tail, which while fully functional, is the fullest extent of creating extra limbs. She also cannot alter her form beyond anything humanoid, unlike her father, who is able to turn himself into larger than life monsters and even inanimate objects. In addition, when she does change her physical form, she does not gain whatever projected benefits of whatever she turns into. Hard carapace? Soft as skin. Incredible physique? Still just as strong as she was before. Gills? Those don't actually work, she can't breathe underwater even if she wanted to.

Also, her usage of elements are quite limited. First of all, she only really figured out to summon elements through her mouth. She hasn't really figured out how to summon it through her hands or with her mind like her brother, it all comes out her mouth. In addition, summoning things through her mouth is very unpleasant. Coughing up dirt is fun once or twice, but having to brush your teeth afterwards and accidentally swallowing some is not. Spitting literal fire is always a fun effect, but having to go to the hospital for internal 1st and 2nd degree burns is not fun. The only thing she's only ever done with some regularity is blowing huge gusts of wind or spewing water, which again, takes something out of her to do. As far as she knows, she can do these things for as long as she wants, as long as she holds her breath while doing so. Subsequently, she got pretty good at holding her breath. Her brother takes advantage of this by redirecting the elements she tries to conjure back down her throat. She learned very quickly after trying to mess up his white shirt that eating dirt is not fun, and also very filling.

How long did you have your power?
A year and a half at most. After a few growth spurts and sudden shrinkages, her father took her on a business trip to try and teach her the "feel" to her powers, which she latched onto pretty quickly. After that, she went back to school totally changed in appearance, mostly for fun, somewhat to see everyone's reactions.

How does your power usually show itself?
Appearance, always. Her power is entirely concerned with her appearance, and it shows with her entirely albino skin. Of course, most of the rest of her features are recognizable if you met her before her power awakened, but they seem to be a little more "perfect" than before. Perfectly symmetrical eyes, a nose bridge that seems to be just the way an artist would draw one, a perfectly rounded chin, etc. It's only unsettling when she does it on purpose, but usually she tries not to accentuate her features so much. In addition, the inside of her mouth is surprisingly blackened with a good number of stitches all over the insides of her cheeks and jaw from the few times she tried to breathe fire. Due to her hurting herself in this way, she doesn't have a gag reflex, but sometimes has trouble swallowing things. If water isn't available, she will pause eating to try and let whatever she's supposed choking on slide down her throat. She usually lets people know if she can't breathe though.

Relationships

What kind of upbringing have you had?
Cassie has had a very affluent upbringing. Two loving parents who were never around, and a twin brother with a similarly rooted name in myth, Achilles. The same myth, actually, the Illiad. It was one of the books they were read every night when they were put to bed, which almost always put children to bed, as ancient greek literature was incredibly boring and wordy in the minds of children. She's always had what she wanted, but she's always had to work for it under the conditions that were set for her, the strictness being less levied over time.

She was always a callous and ultimately self-centered person, ever since she was small, and that hasn't changed since the beginning. There was never really any drama within the family, asides from the lack of parents consistently around. At the age of 16, she and her brother no longer had nannies, and were left alone in the house mostly by themselves.

Any family ties?
Her brother, Achilles, she is very close with. He has a sort of similar powerset to her own, manipulation of elements that already exist, and the ability to slightly modify his appearance, a sort of opposite focus to her own.
Her mother and father are work together in the movie industry as an SFX artist and actor respectively, and always are on business trips and the like. Cassie figured that she and her brother were after thoughts to the two adults, and was glad that this thought hadn't really reached anybody else yet. She didn't want to think of it any more than she had to.

Any other noteworthy people in your life?
Close friends, really. Yvonne is her childhood friend who she never really let go of, and her percussion for TUTB. While Cassie was always the talker, and Evie was the doer. Where Cassie wasn't afraid to speak her mind, Evie wasn't afraid to put those words into action. She's part of the girl's varsity basketball team, and was a tall, mean girl. Didn't take shit, but never started any. Always has Cassie's back when she needed somewhere to run, but always made sure to correct her when she did something wrong. Never said much, and honestly, Cassie wouldn't have her any other way. As far as she knows, Yvonne never developed any powers, but she never really needed one.

How far have you gone sexually?
By herself? She's tried a lot of things. Being a shapeshifter gives you a lot more options than anybody else could ever have. With other people? She's never held an actual relationship before, and avoids going to parties in her neighborhood like the plague. She'd rather die a virgin than let some loser inside her.

school: What kind of student are you?
I'd say I'm always one of the top 3 students in class. It's not that I try too hard; studying just comes to me naturally and I love the thrill shooting hoops gives me. I do tend to procrastinate a lot when it comes to assignments and stress out over little details. My professors see me becoming someone big but worry that I'm not focused on pursuing only a certain area of study. "A student possessing great potential but lacking direction."

What clique would you say you belong to if you wear in a typical cliche American High School movie?
Oh I'm definitely what you would call a 'Drifter'. I don't hang out with one group exclusively but tend to jump groups when I feel like. The thought of commitment is boring (and a little scary). Plus, with my part-time job and helping out ol'gramps I don't have time to spare to build deep relationships.

What do you plan on doing after your senior year?
I haven't really given it much thought. Thinking about the future stresses me out. I say, live in the moment! Whatever comes my way I'll take it. After all what's the point in fantasizing about what I want to do when destiny already has its plans in store.

When I'm not with my grandfather helping out in the garage, you can find me waitressing at the local diner "Beanie".

I guess I'm pretty self reliant. I work better by myself and prefer being by myself when it comes to tackling the important things that are to do with self growth. I do not like depending on other people for this because I believe overcoming a hurdle by myself will make me a stronger person. Afterall, at the end of the day you've only got yourself to depend on. But of course, sometimes I don't mind delegating every once in a while to speed things up.
I'm very bold when I want to be. I don't hesitate calling someone out or asking for favors.
Also I'd say due to certain circumstances, I have learned to be a very patient person. I can be unusually tolerant of things that bug me.
I'm also a very trustworthy person. If I consider you a close friend, you can rely on me blindly to help you out of a fix or keep a secret. I'm also there for you if you need to vent but I'm probably not the best person to turn to for comfort or advice.

I think one of worst things about myself is I lack drive and willpower. I may get excited about something and plan things from minute detail to detail but when it actually comes down to going through with it, I back out or I give up halfway. I start losing interest and look for something new to play around with. Another thing is that I've got trust issues. The irony. I find it hard to trust people, even those I consider close. I limit how much I share about myself. The bits I do share, I make it seem like it's something I would only exclusively tell them. It makes the other person feel special plus helps the relationship grow, because a relationship with one-sided confiding never works, does it? Sometimes bottling up my feelings does take a toll on me. My trust issues have made me a very anxious person. I may act callous but deep down every little thing you say eats me on the inside.

Possibilities with the powers
My power is ranged and requires me to have a good understanding of the composition of the material I want to channel my energy through. There are two things I can do, so far, with my power. I can determine changes in temperature, thereby able to discern the number of different objects in an environment. I can also channel energy through a material I have mastered to increase or decrease the temperature of an object it is in contact with, such that a change of state is possible. My power works great with runes ~~I think all powers do~~. Since I have mastered channeling my energy through pebbles, Master Yvonne is teaching me how to channel energy through a rune of healing to obtain methods of healing. However, I will no longer require runes to heal if I am able to master the composition of flesh and muscle. Runes are a great way to amplify or suppress a source.
The pebbles and runes I use suppress my power in case things go out of hand. I usually wear a rune of nullification as a bracelet so that I don't accidentally give out energy surges. Things could go out of hand ~~super out of hand~~.
Oh, almost forgot to mention. In case things become a little scary for me, since I still don't have a good grip over controlling the energy I give out, I carry a pouch of blast runes. These runes allow me to shoot a ball of fire at an intended target. They don't do much damage but are great to cause a distraction.

Blast runes are all about precision and timing. They are hard to make because the material filling of the impressions is not easy to obtain. To activate a blast rune, I would through it in the air, make incantation signs with my hands, and then shoot my energy the moment the rune is at eye-level or hand-level. When my energy activates the rune, the rune hovers in line with the palm of my casting hand, and I can direct it to the intended target space. The fireball is released when I cut the channel of energy to the rune. Once a blast rune is used, it disintegrates.

Weaknesses of the power
Weaknesses are subjective to the user of this power. There is a lot possible with Thermokinesis but since I have never had a mentor (It's only been 4 months with Master Yvonne) or took the time to learn new methods of making use of my power, I can only do two things I stated in the previous question. Till now, I am only comfortable using my power with inanimate objects. I can only channel my energy through pebbles. Changing the state of an object is near to impossible when I have my nullification bracelet on. Also, I have to have a direct line of range to the object I am going to manipulate.

How long did you have your power?
It first showed signs when I was 7, and that's where my life took a 180 degree turn. However, it did not fully manifest until I was 14 but even after that, instead of understanding and exploring what I was capable of, I only found ways to suppress my power. I got into runecarving 4 months ago.

How does your power usually show itself?
1. You can feel the change in temperature of an object.

relationships: What kind of upbringing have you had?
Everything was pretty normal until I turned 7. I was loved and pampered; bed-time stories, new dolls whenever I asked for, kisses and cuddles, weekend trips to the park. Then one day the unthinkable happened. I'd rather not speak about it. Long story short, my parents abandoned me all because I lost control of my powers. They thought I was the spawn of the devil because don't your powers only show once you hit puberty? They were terrified of me. It didn't help that I had heat manipulation. They couldn't understand me. I didn't understand myself either. After that my grandfather took me in. I've had a troubled past, but I haven't let that bring me down I think.

Any family ties?
My grandfather. When I was only a little girl of 7 there was a freak accident that made my parents believe I was a threat. I started getting thrown from one parent back to the other and in the end they couldn't stand my presence anymore. Grampa saved me. Had it not been for him I don't know what would have become of me. He is both a mother and a father to me.

Runemaster Yvonne is a daily at Beanie, the diner I part time at. At first I found her intimidating and weird. She is what you'd call the weird witch lady of the town. But like the saying goes, you can't judge a book by its cover. Mrs. Yvonne is a friend, a mentor, and the kind of aunt I've never had. She's taught me the basics of runecarving and I'm very close to mastering how to create a rune of healing and rune of nullification.

type of student: amir is far from a model student, he does just enough to get by and nothing more. usually he can be found goofing off with his group of friends or even skipping all together. amir isn’t really interested in what school has to teach him so he doesn’t pay attention.

—history
bio: amir comes from a two parent household. with his father being a janitor and his mother a school nurse they aren’t the wealthiest, they have just enough to get by and not starve. growing up amir has a normal life. growing up an only child meant that he was lonely, though he had plenty of cousins and neighborhood kids to hang out with.

his life changed when he turned 14 and his powers showed itself. it began with his mother’s garden, whenever he was near the plants would suddenly grow and reach out for him. it wasn’t long before his parent figured out what was going on. in the beginning he was teased for having a “girly” power and soon he began to despise it, though as time passed her began to accept and appreciate it.
