Personality: Mike would consider himself having a number of positive traits such as kindness, a sense of justice and loyalty with a creative way of thinking. All true in a sense but Mike is also cruel, insensitive, lazy and possibly a bit of a coward when his own preservation or discomfort is on the line. Michael definitely has a bit of a ego and his confidence most likely comes from a place of showing off his strengths and hiding his flaws.

the user is able to create and spawn seeds from the hands, arms and chest.
These seeds explode on impact to produce a demonic arm made of what looks like solid smoke. Ranging from three meters to five in length These hands can be controlled but if not they will flail and attempt to grasp at anything close in a mindless scramble. These demon arms are resistant to damage but in no way invincible.
Mutation strengths: the arms are strong, able to lift and crush a car easily sort of strong. (Using two hands)
Mutation weaknesses/flaws:
The effort used to control these hands is difficult and gets harder the further the user is from said planted seed.
Currently only able to control three hands at one time if two are replacing his actual arms, otherwise it is two hands at a distance.
The energy expended creating seeds requires an above average diet.
Seeds and hands have a shelf life and will not last forever. Seeds are effective up to 24 hours while a planted hand will last five minutes should it receive no damage.
These arms are weak to fire.


Performance strengths: a stubborn will to control the arms, accurate with a slingshot/gun.
Decent boxer for someone able to have four meter long arms and hands as big as a person.
Performance weakness: cardio as Mike hates running long distance.
Easily distracted/annoyed/challenged.
Cannot plant multiple hands without causing a threat to property or civilians.

Biography:
Raised by a single mother as the Ceede parents had a divorce soon after the third child was born. The oldest son Jared was quick in his attempt to be the man of the house, the middle child Mike took to doing what he wanted when he wanted as No one had enough time to properly discipline or explain to the boy what he was doing is dangerous.
At age ten is when the power awoke, Mike was walking home during a particularly hot day when he noticed seeds falling out of his sleeves... Though hero's were able to destroy the accidental seed sprouts the origin of them was still unknown. They became "known" around the time Mike was thirteen and confident in his ability. Mike was caught shaking down low/mid tier thugs for cash, literally holding them in his demon hands and shaking them for money.

From there he was detained and encouraged to go to school, etc etc

If he didn't accidentally end up in bad situations, he wouldn't be able to fix so many problems. For this reason, his careless attitude might annoy those who are more consciences and tactical.

Mutation power: Reactive Radioactive Metabolism -
Whenever his taste buds get into contact with spice, his body will react by producing an immense amount of radioactive heat within his stomach. This heat process starts from two unique grooves on his tongue that run down his throat, which begin to glow bright with pink energy when his unusual metabolic mutation is triggered. His body will immediately shift his entire metabolism to produce highly radioactive bile which festers inside until it is violently expelled from his stomach out of his mouth. The easiest way to do this is via peppers. There seems to be a correlation with the Scoville level of the ingested object and the power of the reaction.

Mutation strengths: With a spicy enough pepper, Brook can easily blast through metal with the heat beam created from his mouth. His body has a high level of radioactive and heat resistance.

Mutation weaknesses/flaws: Usually, this process is unpleasant and incredibly painful to him, due to his low spice tolerance. Brook also feels incredibly nauseous and rapidly gets dehydrated from using this ability. Frequently, after using it, he has been hospitalized due to the drain it takes on his overall body. His body weight and muscular structure has been stunted as a result, leaving him almost emaciated and frail with no hope of recovery.
Performance strengths: Brook is rather fast and nimble for his size, but incredibly weak and cannot do endurance activities very well.

Biography:
Though his life was modest, Brook's youth was filled with all kinds of wonderment and fun. There was never a dull moment for Brook, who always got himself into mischief. His curiosity and need to explore seemed to only him stuck in nasty situations. Whether it was being chased by a stray animal for poking it with a stick, or catching his neighbor's acts of unfaithfulness, he was always running away from danger he caused himself. Luckily, his mother was able to fix his mistakes. She was a hero, after all. A scolding was warranted, of course, but she still encouraged him to never change this aspect of his character.

"You know what the best part of being a hero is, Brook? Seeing everyone smile. I would never change it. Not once."

But being a hero was not all smiles. Like all mutations, that which gave a 'hero' their identity, it also worked to tear them down. For every smile, she earned, his mother Titania, paid a price. One that took its toll on her body. Her ability to bend metal had the side effect of her blood containing extremely high levels of iron and other metals, which gradually caused her numerous health defects over the years. Eventually, she lost her ability to speak in full, proper sentences. Soon thereafter, Titania began to lose control of her power. Her mistakes caused once simple missions to fail. Her hero rating rapidly fell -- And she was forced into retirement at an early age. All his mother was able to do left, was build small metal statuettes to sell for money. When she was not in the hospital, she would create these artful statues to be auctioned at charities and private sales. With a small Brook watching intently from afar. Admittedly, she was sad she couldn't help people how she used to. But still found happiness in the fact that she can still help him and his father. But after a while, even that little piece of her happiness was taken away. A nasty accident at home left her hospitalized permanently, due to the danger of her deteriorating health.

He and his father visit the lonely room whenever they can.

These days, it isn't uncommon to see the two end up being patients in the same hospital. Though for different reasons. And in spite of the criticism for the way he acts, he knows he needs to continue trying to be a hero. Brook takes this as extra opportunity to visit his mother, anyway. But it feels as if they are just strangers now. Her condition has gotten to the point where she seldom is able to remember his name. He think it is better this way. If she really knew why he was there so often, she probably wouldn't be very happy to see him. Sometimes it feels like looking into a mirror of his future. But Brook would never regret it.

Because when he tells her his hero stories, however small, she always smiles.
After all, he was given these powers for a reason. If not to save people, what good were they for?

Personality: Roy is very protective and usually has many layers of protection due to the rather hostile environment he grew up in without his parents. He’s had to adapt to life, having to rely either on his strength or skills to get out of situations, the most prominent one being his luck. As such he’s managed to survive very long and due to surviving he’s developed a sense that he knows what it takes to survive, due to having outsmarted and out fought many people through the years, even going out of boundaries and starting fights himself or robbing people he believed deserved it simply because they were careless. He can be a smooth talker in one moment to a complete debater trying to ruin your reputation, or if that doesn’t work simply punch it, in his years compromise only works if he gets the better part of the cake and as such, he continued to survive, until recently…

Performance

Mutation power: Lucky 13: A complicated ability which Roy took some time to actually understand. Roy is able to summon a deck of 13 cards and must shuffle them fairly before pulling out a card from the top. Each card is either a positive or a negative, a positive will always have a negative counterpart. After drawing a card, a dice will be rolled from 1 to 6 which will determine the potency of the draw and as such Roy will be affected by the card for 1 minute. The cards are not hearts, spades, diamonds, or clubs, instead in place there is a symbol of a white dove with a pistol. When a card is drawn and the dice are thrown they’ll both disappear in a puff of air symbolizing the draw is in effect. He may instantly draw any card after the effect of another one ends. In the moment he's drawing and shuffling, someone can attack the cards and they will disappear in a puff of air, forcing Royce to wait 60 seconds before summoning them again. His card are made out of air but still feel and are basically normal cards in his hand. Creating the deck takes up a small amount of his stamina but using it constantly can begin to add up.

Lucky 13 draws:

King:
Roy begins healing and regenerating his body to a healthy state, whether it is closing wounds, removing bullets, getting rid of tumors, or getting rid of any drugs or toxins in his system. 1 causes the regeneration to be rather weak and slowly heal wounds while 6 is very powerful and can regenerate limbs in seconds.

Queen: Roy begins to perceive time at a much slower rate being able to dodge attacks much more easily and other possible threats. 1 reduces perceived time to 90% and 6 to 40%.

Jack: Gains the ability to see through things, whether it's people through walls, objects through clothing, or even internal organs of people to figure out any weaknesses and weak points. 1 allows for a range of 5 meters, 6 allows for a range of 20 meters

10: Roy gains the ability to summon cards in both his hands that he's able to throw, the cards are indestructible but vary in sharpness. 1 the cards will at most cause paper cuts, 6 the cards will be easily able to cut through metals. (Cards can also be used as a very small shield and the cards disappear once the 60 seconds pass, they don't bend or anything and all the cards appear as a 10 with varying symbols)

9: Roy gains a singular card that may be thrown and when it comes into contact with something solid that isn't Roy, it'll explode with varying potency. 1 it's like a loud firework that can set things on fire, 6 acts like an IED capable of taking out armored vehicles

8: Roy gains a set amount of cards determined by roll that when thrown and coming into contact with anything solid that isn't Roy will cause Roy to be teleported near the object where there is space for him causing him to not phase through objects. 1 gives him a singular one of these cards, 6 gives him six cards and not using the cards in 60 seconds will cause the cards to simply vanish.

7: Roy will begin to get teleported around the nearby area in random intervals between the 60 seconds, 1 means he'll be teleported randomly once, 6 means he'll be teleported 6 separate times.

6: A random card from any time between the 60 seconds will suddenly appear next to him and fall into the ground causing it to explode. 1 the explosion will be a loud firework 6 the explosion will be an IED that can take out armored veichles.

5: Cards will begin appearing around Roy which will hover for a second before launching themselves directly in a straight path towards Roy, if the miss and hit a different objects they'll disappear, the barrage won't end until 60 seconds have passed. 1 they cause paper cuts, 6 cut through metal like butter. (They are also indestructible and have a 5 instead of a 10, they also aren't homing)

4: Roy will appear visible through walls and objects to everyone that is near the effect, they will see him with all his items and equipment and will also be bright when in range. 1 is 5 meters range, 6 is 20 meters range.

3: Time for Roy will appear to move a lot faster than it is making him have effectively slower reaction time, 1 is 110% speed, 6 is 160%

2: Roy's body will begin to rot and begin gaining wounds and damage all over the body getting worse depending on the roll, 1 is superficial wounds that may cause bleeding, 6 is limbs rotting off tons of internal damage.


Joker: Roy is able to pick whatever card he wants but can't pick the dice roll, once he picks and the dice is thrown the 60 seconds begin.

Background Check

Biography: Roy was born to a wealthy family as an only child, however only a few years later at the age of 6, Roy’s father would be assassinated and his mother would abandon him, forcing him out of City C and having to survive in City D, stealing the food he could and eventually scamming people by learning sleight of hand and rigging card shuffles. This got the attention of employers looking for card dealers which ended up getting him a job at a Casino in City C as a card dealer, specifically told to always rig it so the house always came out on top. With his new found job he was finally able to get an apartment in City D, each work day having to move from city to city, and due to wearing his fancy Card dealer uniform, he would be called out and even attacked, which would later develop further his sneaking skills and street fighting ability which also toughened up his mind and grew a sort of ego. In recent years he has discovered he had a mutation, a dangerous one at that, not only for the people around him but himself, as such he has only ever used it in emergencies when he couldn’t punch or sneak his way through things, like the time he was captured and almost had his kidney taken. Every day however he gets memories of his childhood and would eventually want to find his mother and discover why things happened the way they did, also prompting him to practice being a detective.

Thoughts on villains: They’ve been given a power, and they’ve chosen to wield it for evil instead of good. If they could just see how great they could be, and how many others they could help, they might change their minds! But if they’ve chosen to hurt others, they have to be stopped by whatever means necessary. If only you could beat sense into them.

Performance

Mutation power
: Energy Manipulation: She can manipulate the energy she consumes and stores in her body. There are two ways she can do this. She can use the excess energy to enhance her own physical abilities for a time or she can manifest it into physical force energy that can be projected towards others or objects. Her force energy manifests as a slice of light that emits from her hands and makes a deep whooshing bass-like sound as it blasts forward. The size and loudness of the blast changes depending on how much energy she’s spent making it. The further the blast needs to travel to hit her target, the larger it has to be, and its power/size decreases as it travels. If it were to hit nothing, it would reach its maximum distance for its size and then vanish. The more energy she uses the more powerful the effect, either on her own physical abilities or as a blast of energy.
Mutation strengths: When enhancing her physical abilities she has greater strength, greater speed, and can cover more distance when jumping. Nothing completely superhuman unless she were to focus/spend all her energy into that one task, but definitely considerably more than she should be physically capable of. She can alternatively use her energy for endurance if rationed correctly. When manifesting the energy physically, a small blast can do about as much damage as throwing a punch, or chucking a rock at a glass window. A large energy blast could be powerful enough to flip a car, shatter several windows, or cause internal damage if focused on another person directly.
Mutation weaknesses/flaws: Has to consume copious amounts of caffeine to maintain an effective level of energy. This being said, she only has a limited amount of excess/stored energy to pull from depending on how much she has been able to store before her power starts consuming her own energy. If she overexerts herself and depletes all of her stored energy she will be overcome with exhaustion and essentially be useless. Additionally, she has no reliable way to gauge how much she has left until she begins to feel physically tired and by then she's already running low. It takes her some time to consume and convert more energy to become functional again, and is basically a walking zombie the next few hours, or the next couple of days depending on how much of her own energy she expended beyond her safe limit. In order to sleep she must deplete her extra energy reserves or else she’s wired all night. Foregoing sleep negatively affects her performance, but it does allow her body time to create more usable energy than normal.
Performance strengths: If using her power correctly she can perform most physical tasks with ease, and can endure for as long as her power will allow her depending on the difficulty of the task. She can either ration her power for long periods of average performance, or for short bursts of enhanced power or speed. She’s quite athletic in nature, and has trained in kickboxing since her power developed and she set her sights on becoming a hero.
Performance weakness: Constantly consuming caffeine doesn’t allow for much sleep, so homegirl is a bit of a klutz in a situation that requires concentration. She’s hard headed and competitive so she often overshoots her abilities and runs herself down before she can finish an intended task. She isn’t the best decision maker, and can be reckless, acting without thinking. She isn't great at gauging her own power, and may cause more damage to an area than intended.
If the Paradym government needed to kill you tomorrow how would they do it?: She’s not immune to being harmed physically in any way, but if they just deprived her of caffeine long enough she wouldn’t be any more of a threat than an average person. If she was somehow forced to use her powers beyond their limit, like in a life or death scenario, she would essentially fall into a sleep coma and be completely defensless.

The outfit consists of a red, high collared, sleeveless and pantless bodysuit with a small cutout in the front, and a larger one exposing her back. Over this she wears what is essentially a fanny pack full of caffeinated beverage. There are two tubes which go from the front of the back, around either side of her, and up her back. It then rests around her neck where they're connected to a mouthpiece for easy drinkability. She wears charcoal colored sleeves on her arms that run from her hand up to her biceps. The sleeves have bright yellow rings which float around her arms, mimicking the look of the energy blasts she can produce, they also glow in the dark for greater visibility in the middle of an emergency or villain situation. Over the sleeves she wears kickboxing gloves which leave her knuckles exposed so she is able to use her ability to shoot energy from her fists. These protect her wrists and hands from injury when punching, especially if she is enhancing her speed/strength in physical combat. The costume has a pair of leggings that reach from her feet up to her midthighs and match the sleeves. There are wrappings around her ankles to help prevent injury when running, and she has her trusty red sneakers. The costume leaves her face, shoulders, back, and a portion of her thighs exposed, in case she exhausts her energy and supports items, this way she can apply additional caffeine patches. (In that type of scenario, she would've been out of the fight a long while ago, and this would be a last ditch effort to recover enough energy to stay awake/escape)
Hero Gear: Caffeine patches out the wazoo, the sleeves and leggings on her hero costume are infused with caffeine to help replenish her energy supply on the go. (Though it still takes her body time to convert/build up the energy for it to be useful) She requested a drink dispensing hat for energy drinks as a joke, but instead they gave her a pouch that wraps around her hips (like a fanny pack). The energy drinks she consumes are specially made with a larger amount of caffeine than any normal person should consume. She got to choose the flavor- it's strawberry.

: One of her parents has an energy based power, however they wield the ability to manipulate electric power, though they cannot manifest it themselves, they can simply transfer it from one place to another, or can act as a temporary battery of sorts. For this reason, that parent works in City G on the powerplant and oftentimes spends weeks working before returning home. Her other parent is a normal human, but an awesome person. Flick has two siblings. A twin sister, who is absolutely her polar opposite and did not develop any powers. For a while the pair of siblings were the interest of some studies in City B due to them being identical but only one developing the mut genes. They only have vague memories of traveling there as children. Flick also has a younger brother, who is a toddler and they do not know yet whether he will have powers or not. The whole family takes bets on it.

Flick's desire to become a hero was when she witnessed a hero defending their city against a villain as a child. Her family had been out and about that day and got caught up in the fight zone when the villain deployed a kind of trap to prevent the civilians from leaving. When the hero arrived, this hostage type situation made it all that much harder to keep everybody safe. She was inspired by how even though the hero's goal was to beat the villain, they did everything they could to protect her family and the others that were trapped in the area. Flick wants to keep people safe and stop evil too!

These wings consist of a 14 ft (or 4.2672 meter) wingspan, and are able to carry the weight of both Emil herself and at least two adult males in the air.
Mutation strengths: The wings are rather powerful in combat, being able to swat and shove away people a good distance with a powerful wack, and are able to bring Emil into the air with a powerful downstroke from the ground. The feathers can be used as darts as well, if she consciously flexes her wings and swiftly flicks them to a direction of her choice.
Mutation weaknesses/flaws: The energy needed to keep up a full flight across the Paradym supercities (or multiple small flights across blocks) consists of an above-average diet. Keeping Emil constrained into a claustrophobic and cramped space can’t have them utilize the full potential of their Featherflight; the wings also can be injured with enough force to break a femur, and will take precious time to repair if one or both wings are injured.

BACKGROUND CHECK
Biography: Emil was an only child to doting parents, with a father who often worked in City G on the machinery repair, and manifested her power at the age of 7-where tiny, beige, feathery wings started to sprout from their back. Her parents weren't mutts-this development was new to them, and while it was scary at first, they eventually accepted the fact that their only daughter was a mutant. The one rule in the family’s house that was given to Emil-never show your wings, unless you need to escape or to protect someone.
That opportunity to protect came in the form of a bully-while during lunch outside, on a bench with one of Emil’s female friends, an upperclassman came up to the two. He started to squirm his way into the two’s conversation, and while he seemed nice at first, he was getting increasingly impatient while the two continued their conversation.
And then, he said something. He knew that Emil’s friend only liked girls, and used a slur to try to get into the conversation. That friend froze, and the boy used it again-it upset the poor girl. Emil understood that she was upset, and intervened, trying to keep the two apart, but the boy wouldn’t relent.
He kept using the word. And Emil had enough.

The boy was suspended in midair by his ankle, powerful wings beating and holding Emil aloft. The two were roughly fifty feet above the ground, the girl’s grip tight on the boy’s ankle. A crowd started to gather at the sight of the incident.
Nathan, promise me that you won’t use that word again!
I..I only wanted to be in the-” Emil's grip loosened, and a shrek from the boy made him talk quicker. “I just wanted to be in the conversation!! That’s all, I didn’t know what the word meant!
But Alana was getting more upset the more you used it. You knew what you were doing!
The boy-Nathan, that’s his name-started to blubber and cry as he looked down. The kid was scared out of his mind, and upon realization Emil saw how high the two were. She...she didn’t mean to get them this high into the air.

And with that, Emil floated both her and the boy down to the ground, making sure to put him right-side up before dropping him onto the ground.

Of course, this led to disciplinary action in the fact that she used her mutation to almost harm someone. “With that height, he could’ve been killed!”, the staff of the school kept saying. And so, she was held back for another year of school, and while Nathan’s father wanted to press charges, after an investigative incident he backed off, most likely to save face.
However, as this happened in her second-to last year of junior high, she was heralded as a “hero” of sorts for the underclassmen. “Willing to show her powers to help her friend in need!”, they kept saying. But Emil knew that she was no hero, she was just a mutt with bird wings and the power of flight-there were other people, with mutations, that were better heroes than her.

Loretta possesses the ability to generate an incredible amount of energy and heat within her arms. This energy can be focused into the tip of a finger (though she always uses her pointer) and fired as a projectile. The power and heat of these projectiles can be determined by her, though the more serious heat she’s packing, the quicker she’ll need to cool off. Through use of her powers, a long, twisting pattern will appear along the length of her arm, growing brighter and larger with use. Although she bares a unique ability to tolerate this extreme heat, there is an eventual limit for her, at which point she has to cool off.

At points of high use, her arms are white-hot, and constantly emit steam. At that point, she's 'out of ammo', though having white-hot fists to sling around certainly helps.


Mutation strengths: One of the strengths of this power is its concealment and speed. Although Loretta 'appears' unarmed, that couldn't be farther from the truth, and even when about to use her power, she doesn't appear threatening, as it's a literal finger gun. Additionally, this power requires no preparation, so Loretta's hard to catch off guard. She's quick on the draw, and all she needs to start blasting is to point that finger at someone. Suffice to say, the main strength of this power however, is the fact that her hand is a gun. Each of her attacks are powerful, and should she wish, she can very easily make them lethal. The use of this power spikes adrenaline in Loretta's body, so as she uses her power, she only becomes more active. She's faster, stronger, has better reflexes. Combat is like a high to her. Her power gives her a passive and impressive heat resistance.
Mutation weaknesses/flaws: 'Quiet' and 'Subtle' this power is not. Each shot is bright and loud, very clearly giving away her position whenever used. Additionally, the heat and light will remain on her arm for a while, so at least for a few minutes afterward, it'll be obvious if she's fired a shot. This power is additionally quite demanding. She only has so much 'ammo' to use, and that depletes much faster if she's using higher powered shots. Once she's out, she's out for the rest of the fight, as she needs several hours to cool off. Additionally, full expenditure of all her 'ammo' leaves her tired at best. Though, almost paradoxically, the use of this power ramps up the adrenaline in her body. Once she's 'out' of the combat, she crashes pretty hard, but while she's in it, she's on fire. The only issue though, is that is where she wants to be more than anything, in that moment. So, her reckless tendencies are only exacerbated by the use of powers. Due to the extreme heat her body puts off while in the thick of it, she becomes isolated. It's hard to pull her out of a situation or rescue her if she goes down at that point, as her skin is so ludicrously hot to the touch.
Performance strengths: Loretta's fit and quick on her feet. Even without her powers, she's a capable combatant, though not exactly a disciplined one. Additionally, she is a remarkably good shot.
Performance weakness: Loretta's a thrill-seeker, and combat's her ultimate thrill. Once in, she's hard to get out, and she doesn't play terribly well with a team. One, as she becomes too hot to touch, and two because the way she'd like to do things is by going in fingers blazing, with herself in the thick of the combat. So 'plans' aren't something she's fond of.

Biography
: Loretta's life certainly hasn't been one without excitement. Her parents, Dee and Johnny, couldn't provide the best life for her, though it never stopped them from trying. Born into relative poverty in City D, her power did not manifest until much later in her life, leaving her a mostly tame upbringing. She'd been an accident, though her parents provided for her as best they could regardless. Things weren't always easy, but Loretta has had a happy relationship with both her parents. Her favorite memories of her childhood involved her parents' setting up their old projector in the basement of the appartment building and showing old films for a few of the neighbours. Most of what they had was old western stuff, which her parents were all sorts of in love with, and so Loretta came to love those old films too.

Her story, although not filled with tragedy and suffering, is that of the kind of person who falls through the cracks of society. Her part of City D didn't see much of its government save the police force, so there wasn't much help for her or her family. Loretta spent much of her childhood helping her parents by scavenging metals from the abandoned power plants for selling, or hawking just about anything she could to sell on the more populated streets of the district. Of course, the time she spent helping put food on the table was time she sure didn't spend going to school, and even then, they weren't eating too fancy.

Part of her regrets that, of course, but she didn't get a choice then. Unless you're all sorts of lucky, getting put out in that part of City D means you never leave. Loretta just ended up getting lucky. If she didn't though, there's no telling where she'd end up. Loretta's power manifested late into her teens, and when it did, Loretta and a group of friends were already well on their way to becoming criminals in their own right. Thievery, fighting, and even a break-in, all before her powers emerged. Of course, when they did, nothing changed. Of course, she had powers now and that was different, but she wasn't born in City C. Some alphabet department wasn't going to knock on the front door with a limo to take her to Invictus or anything.

So, she just kept going. Everyone she knew thought her power was pretty cool, and she wasn't ashamed of its use. Her parents however, could only try and encourage her to stay on the right side of the law. She didn't listen to them much, but deep down she appreciated how much they cared. So, she felt ashamed, and especially ashamed to see that disappointment on their faces when she got caught.

Dorothy lived a pretty normal life. Her father worked an office job and her mother ran a flower shop which Dorothy helps out at. Growing up Dorothy took on a few hobbies she grew to have a love for flowers like her mother, she took up archery, an interest her father got her into and she fell in love with guitar. She would play it all the time and it got pretty nosey when she would plug in her electric guitar and start jamming....the neighbors weren't a fan. Though there was one thing she was obessed with even more then guitar and that was superheroes. She was definitely that kid that would beg her parents for all the comics and action figures. Always made sure to catch them on tv and more then anything she wanted to be one herself but she couldn't. She had no powers...or so she thought.

Turned out she did have powers but for some reason she didn't discovered them and for a long time they were dormant that is until they suddenly showed themselves. One night as she was sitting in front of her mirror brushing her hair she noticed a glow around her entire body. First she was extremely confused until she realized that she must have powers but she didn't have to be excited for that cause suddenly a terrible pain started coursing through her entire body and yelled out in pain. Her parents came running in her room to see what was wrong. Dorothy was lying on the floor hugging herself as if that would stop the pain. It wasn't just the pain she was getting that was concerning but her body was starting to grow brighter and brighter. Also her eyes and hair had suddenly changed their color. The brighter the glow got the worse the pain got.

Everything else that happen next was a blur she really couldn't concentrate was going on around her cause of how bad the pain was but she didn't noticed unfamiliar faces appear in room and at some point she blacked out. When she came to she noticed she was in a unfamiliar room. Maybe she was in a hospital room? She wasn't sure her mind was in a daze. Though did notice something strange on her chest and when she went to try to pull it off the nurse happened to just come in and stop her before she did. This device had been put on her chest to keep whatever power was inside of her in check and taking it off could be life threatening plus......ripping that thing off would really hurt. When she was finally released they told her to use her powers in very small amounts. Afraid that if she tried something on a bigger scale something similar could happen again. After a week went by she got a week later she got a recruitment letter from Invictus Academy and she couldn't be more excited.

Personality: Gabriele is slow to anger, and even slower to forgive. Due to his slightly troubled past, he's a bit hard to get along with, choosing to respond to most things with either silence or by being blunt. If he has nothing to say, he ain't gonna say a thing, and he's not gonna lie to anyone either. When he has a task set for him, he unflinchingly throws himself at it, determined to see it done right.

For those who manage to get through that shell, and actually earn Gabriele's trust, he's quite the loyal friend. He'd give the clothes off his back for a friend in need, and has even been known to spend what little money he can find to get food to ensure everyone has enough to eat at the orphanage.

Mutation power:
Iron Heart
Gabriele is capable of using the iron within his body to do one of three things, though only one at a time.
  1. Hardening - Should go without explanation, but Gabriele is capable of coating parts of his body in steel. The bigger the area, the more iron it takes. Anything from covering his fists for harder strikes, to covering exposed portions of his body to take a blow, he can do it all.​
  2. Alteration - Any item that Gabriele holds that happens to have metal within it, can be changed using a bit of his own iron to interact with it. The most impressive thing he's done so far is lengthen the blade of a knife from six inches, to a full eighteen inches, though the weapon was a bit unwieldy due to weight distribution.​
  3. Infusion - For things that didn't already have metal within it, Gabriele can infuse it with his own iron. This allows him to create more sturdy objects. This ability isn't used often, namely since most don't want their comfy jacket to be a bit more rigid. Comfort over safety? Oh well. He personally uses it to keep things like pencils from snapping, or one time as a cheeky joke by making the pages of a book turn to iron before handing it to someone.​
Mutation strengths: Due to the durability it offers, this mutation allows for Gabriele to easily get in close to brawl it out hand to hand, or quickly acquire a weapon, meaning he'll never be unarmed. As a natural consequence of lugging around metal whenever he decides to practice, his strength could be considered superhuman. Able to use his mutation to ignore heat to an extent.
Mutation weaknesses/flaws: The obvious weakness would be magnets. If he encountered a strong enough magnet, or a villain who controlled magnetic energies, he'd just be a regular guy trained to fight since using his mutation may end up getting him stuck or even controlled by the enemy.

Due to the use of his body's natural iron, Gabriele suffers from iron deficiency, which could easily knock him out of a fight if he pushes himself too hard, making him a liability.

Naturally, due to the fact that he's coating himself in solid metal when using his mutation, he's significantly slowed down. Hard to be fast throwing a punch with a solid forty pounds of metal. He can't exactly dash through halls if his legs are weighed down with a metal cast to protect against traps. Weapons also end up being weightier, making them hard to wield removing some of the finesse needed to master some weapons.
Performance strengths: Gabriele is trained in hand to hand combat... Meaning he's had his fair share of scraps against other kids, momma ain't raise no bitch. Form is nothing to write home about, but what he lacks in style, he makes up for with brawn.

Gabriele has practiced quite a bit with knives. Not necessarily against others, but he has the motions down. Can even lengthen a blade mid-swing to deceive foes... In theory. He toys with throwing knives, though his aim is nothing to write home about.
Performance weakness: Depth perception. Gabriele isn't wearing that eyepatch for fashion. His left eye simply doesn't work. This affects his ability to judge distances, which is why he prefers to stick in close. This also affects his eyesight to an extent, but this half blind kid is more used to getting around alone, so it's just a slight blindside.

Biography: Gabriele was born to parents unknown, in City F, approximately sixteen years ago, give or take a few days. Nobody is really sure, to be honest. He was dropped off there as a baby, and as far as anyone knew, he very well could have been a few weeks old, maybe even a few months. Nevertheless, the orphanage took him in all the same. Hoping that maybe he'd be adopted, but the kindly caretakers already accepted he likely wouldn't. Easy to see that his left eye didn't work, it was all milky and gross.

Life for him was relatively unremarkable at first. After all, just another orphan on a straining system. He'd play with the other kids, do chores around the place, eat and sleep. Just like any other. It wasn't until he turned the ripe age of 9, and first demonstrated his power, that things would change. He remembered it clearly. One of the older kids were picking on him, trying to take the toys he was playing with for themselves. As kids oft do, they resorted to violence, shoving each other back and forth. Finally, the older kid got fed up, and went to gift him a black eye. There was a loud crunch...

And the bully began to scream, clutching his hand and crying. Turns out he broke a few fingers punching Gabriele's shiny, metal face. Gabriele was a mut! This would affect his likelihood of being adopted just slightly. After all, it takes a bit more effort to raise a child with powers. Gotta accommodate the drawbacks and all that.

After a hefty amount of scolding from the matron of the orphanage, they had a lengthy talk about the responsibilitiesthat come with power. How he should be using that gift for good, not evil. That day, the first seeds of Gabriele's dream to be a hero was born.

Figuring it likely Gabriele would be scouted for Invictus due to the usefulness of his power, the matron allowed him some slack, lessening his load in the chores to get more work done in getting fit, or studying to keep up with at least public education. This, of course, inspired jealousy in the others.

This jealousy, honestly, helped him train a bit more. After all, a bit of scrapping with fellow children at least teaches the basics of how to fight. This also taught him shame, since he was frequently found being scolded by one of the caretakers. Around the age of fifteen, as a favor to the matron, a local C hero who was raised in the orphanage came in to talk with Gabriele about duty, and proper etiquette when dealing with bullies. He also would, about once every few months in his free time, just see what all Gabriele could do. It would be this that eventually actually got him scouted.

Mutation

Tal is able to shift into a razor-sharp metallic dust at will. He’s able to control the dust to create shapes, and the dust doesn’t have to be attached to him in order for him to manipulate it. Tal can shift anything from only a few fingers to his entire body into the dust, though it’s taxing to shift more than two limbs or so. When parts of him are dust, they have some level of attraction to prevent him from being blown away easily, though a strong gust of wind could separate the particles. If the dust is separated, he’s able to recall it, but it takes a while to recover.

Because his dust is metal-based, Tal needs a diet with a high amount of iron. If he has an iron deficiency, he could become stuck in his depleted state for a certain period of time, unless someone adds metal powder directly into his dust. He’s able to move around while in his iron-deficient state, but he’s extremely slow and is better off being scooped up in a bucket.

He essentially becomes a pile of sharp sand without iron in his diet; he isn’t even able to maintain a normal, human-esque form.
He can shift only a portion of a limb, ie. an elbow, and keep his hand intact and floating, but if the dust part is separated from the hand, his hand will be rendered unusable until he manually connects it back to his arm. He cannot regrow vital body parts (Head, important organs).

If his limbs are severed, he’s able to regrow them, though it takes many months and a lot of iron.

His fighting style is extremely fast-paced and acrobatic.

History

Tal grew up in a somewhat ordinary family. Poor, powerless parents gave the illusion of simplicity and normalcy, and it was, for the most part. He breezed through his younger years with minimal problems, living as an only child, but once his abilities began to develop, his parents sat him down to have a talk. They revealed that he actually had an older brother, Sirius, who was not only a mut, but a well-known villain too. His parents soon became uneasy around Tal as he grew more confident in his powers and spent more time scouring the city in search of opponents, and decided to have him attend Invictus Academy in a desperate plea to keep him from following in his elder brother’s footsteps. Sirius is currently in hiding, and has been for a few years.

Tal had a group of close friends back home that served as a gang, almost, though without crime. They knew the back streets and corners of the city like the palms of their hands, and they often busied themselves by causing mischief and skateboarding. He was a well-known face among the street crowds, and often returned home with a black eye and a gleeful grin from his rivalries with other groups. Tal’s somewhat familiar with the shady goings of the city, but he never participated himself, and his group was always careful to avoid the most dangerous, crime-ridden areas. He’s had some bad run-ins nonetheless, and has relied on his street smarts to evade being kidnapped or killed. Having his abilities develop at age 12 gave him the upper hand in many scenarios, even if he wasn’t quite good at using his powers when they first appeared. He’s become quite confident since, as he’s had time to hone his skills.​

Alex does not have any superhuman endurance without his flames, although independent of heat, AL-flames can be put out by a normal CO2 fire extinguisher. Thoroughly submerging his hands in any fluid that displaces oxygen will limit and almost disable his ability to start a fire.

Alex's parents were villains. His father was a lunatical arsonist who wields the power of AL-flame( which Alex inherits from), while his mother was a very low profile 'business woman' who used her power 'Witches' Brew' to create and sell experimental or illegal drugs, occasionally poison some water sources just so she could do some business with her 'antidote'. For obvious reasons, the family was barely functional, the father was neglecting the family, while the mother in Alex's eyes was just a soulless caretaker. The neglect from his father was the direct cause of his twisted 'passion' towards setting things on fire.

Alex was very close with his older sister Ada. Ada doesn't manifest any form of superpower. After Alex's father was finally stopped and killed on the spot, his mother decided to drop him and Ada off at their grandparents' place and never came back. Investigators started visiting Alex and Ada, the rumors began to spread, and their life became more miserable from the hatred from victims or general locals alike. Ultimately, Ada was able to convince Alex to accept the invitation to the academy, so that the cycle of pointless hatred can end from here.

mutation strengths: very versatile and adaptable, is very useful in many ways, can still adapt and change(learn more owo), and can easily be used for both offence, defence, and support
mutation weaknesses/flaws: every weakness ice has(heat, shattering, expanding, etc), the cold affects himself and still harms him, his power often backfires during use and chills his own body, this can go to the point of chilling his internal organs(most common his heart) causing extreme pain and potential organ failure and death.

Panic Puff
Like the majestic pufferfish, Maisie's mutation is triggered when she is under stress and is most potent when she is in danger. Her body secretes a paralytic chemical that increases production and reacts strongly in the presence of cortisol. It is produced in the kidneys and distributed throughout the body via lymph nodes.

The chemical quickly evaporates into a gas when exposed to air, sticking close with other molecules and forming a loose circular orb around Maisie. Water molecules in the air will slowly cause the outer layer of the 'orb' to solidify into a rubbery shell with spiky projections. (Higher humidity and water sources will quicken this process!). This layer is flexible and bouncy, like a balloon or beach ball, making it mostly resistant to blunt force and strikes. Pressure build up or puncturing the shell will cause it to burst into a burst of paralytic gas that is effective on exposed skin and inhalation. Small dosages will cause local numbing or loss of motor control, while large doses will cause full body paralysis for several hours depending on constitution. While it has never been observed, it is possible that extreme or repeated dosages could cause a cardiac arrest.

Mutation strengths: lots of AOE, paralyze or weaken opponents.

Controlled releases can be triggered from the sleeves and points on the collar by a button on her headpiece, but can be overwhelmed by too much pressure and explode. Holes on the legs and jacket allow for emergency vapour drainage. Alternatively, she can flick her sleeves to combine the gas with a spray of water, creating small spikes that can be flung at targets.

Background CheckBiography: Maisie's anxiousness and powers manifested at the same time, though it is unclear if one was the root cause of the other. She was only 8 when she started to notice a strange gas emitting from her skin, and when she panicked it only seemed to increase. Afraid of how dangerous and strange she could be, she desperately tried to hide it under baggy clothes and covering her skin. It worked for a while until it didn't. The build up of gases combined with a panic attack after being found out and surrounded by students led to a scarring release of her power, resulting in hitting multiple students. Maisie was horrified, even if it only caused temporary paralysis, and dropped out of school.

She only left her house when it was necessary, finding social interactions and crowded areas too stressful. Most of her life was spent in her room, exploring the terrifying world beyond from the safety of her computer. At all costs, she tried to never use her power and avoid all stressful situations that would trigger it. Maybe that is why she became fascinated with super heroes and villains, who lived without fear of what they were. She joined the SUPER FAN website when she was 11 and became somewhat of an expert on all things hero and villain. Hours and hours were spent reading through articles, watching videos, and tracking the latest news about these heroes and villains. In a way, they were something like friends to her.

While her life might be considered sad to onlookers, she was quite content with it. She was more than happy to never have to use her powers and forget the accident early in her life, until she got a letter from Invictus...

She was going to decline it, but her entire family knew about it and already had all the celebrations ready. They even threw a surprise party and invited some neighbours and friends.
