I can see you standing there
But there are things I cannot see
I cannot see the battles you wage
But I can see the scars they leave behind
I cannot see the heartbreaks you've suffered
But I can see the love you still give freely
I cannot see the mistakes you made
But I can see how you've learned from them
You are just like me
Just another person with hopes and dreams
There are things I don't have to see
Because ultimately I see your humanity
And I value your existence even if you don't
Life gives us all our own unique canvas
And your canvas may enrich the world
If only you have the courage to paint
And to overcome that voice in your head
I'm a suicide survivor
And I don't want you to be one
I just want you to survive
Because there will never be another you
So I see you standing there
With all of your tomorrows at stake
And I just want you to know
I see myself in your eyes
