i can't quite believe i'm still standing after coding for so long

This is the sign-up area for PROMETHEUS, where potential players must submit their characters. I don't need overly-complex code, just the bare essentials and anything you guys might want to add.

A few rules when it comes to character making! and the rp too
1. Please don't overpower yourselves. We're trying to make the Rebellion look like the underdogs in the fight against THANATOS, so it'll be rather dull if we had a powerful psychic/biomechanical/chosen savior easily steamrolling Destroyers at the drop of a hat, right?
2. I prefer anime FCs- game FCs are okay, too. I'm not very comfortable with real life FCs, though.
3. When posting, make the effort to at least write up a paragraph. I'm not the biggest fan of one-liners, see?
(Rules might be added to in future dates)

Also, we'll be operating under a little system I made up- we'll be going from Mission Phases to Interlude Phases.
Mission Phases are "main events" that will require most if not all of the characters. If anyone drops out, leave it to me to make an excuse (though I'd appreciate if you guys didn't, this is a pet project I was working on for a long time)
Interlude Phases are "free time" events where characters can interact with one another. If something happens to a certain character during a Mission Phase that keeps them from interaction (say, a character getting fatally injured in a Mission Phase), then please discuss with the character's player to verify if their character will still be available for Interlude.

Anyway, there are only two playable species in PROMETHEUS- Human or Machine. But Machines have types which need to be specified in the character sheet:

Warframe - A Warframe machine is directly under ZGF, and was produced by the Leader of the First Rebellion. They are mostly military-based, more centered around offense and wartime purposes rather than domestic uses. As such, Warframes rarely look human in appearance- in shape, perhaps, but not in face.

Companion - Companion robots are basically the most humanoid of machines- equipped with almost all features of a normal human. However, the difference with humans and companion robots are the fact that they can be programmed with skills that can rival (or even exceed) what humans can.

Utility - Utility machines come in all shapes and sizes- the most balanced machine out there in the market, utilities aren't sent on high-risk missions like the Warframes but they aren't forced to do the same work that only a graceful Companion can.They stand at at ease in the middle and can be customized for different roles.

Name: Kanade Takamine

Role: Leader of the First Rebellion
General Description: Standing at 5'8", Kanade carries herself with a rather proud stance- one that makes people seem to follow her instinctively. With blonde hair and electric blue eyes, she seems to never go a day without her trusty (and rather worn out) pair of goggles and fingerless gloves.

Personality: Sailor-mouthed, impulsive and emotional- those are just a few words that describe Kanade, at least back in the day. She still retains most of her previous, carefree personality, though it seems as if she had grown more somber in the years after she lost her cousin, Nagisa. Still, she can appear rather intimidating to rookies at first, but she quickly warms up to her team members, no matter the personality.

While initially not a fan of combat, Kanade had grown used to the battlefield as much as she had grown used to the laboratory. When not working or trying to come up with a new machine, she spends her time drinking away her worries.

She tends to be a little closer with her robotic compatriots than most, though she mentions that she's not opposed to human interaction. "It's just that I've been trapped in a laboratory for the duration of the war is all," Is her reassurance on the matter.

Armaments:

  • Assorted Guns - Kanade's the type of person who changes guns depending on the kind of mission, so she never really had a "favorite" weapon of any sort. Thanks to this, she relies on the base's armory...and a few guns of her own design.
  • Toolbox - Kanade's rather technical, which is why she carries a portable toolbox around with her. It works for when she has to dismantle or reverse-engineer anything on the field, which goes well with her speedy way of dealing with things.
  • Prototype Plasma Cutter - A prototype plasma cutter, for when she has to get into CQC. Though Kanade's not usually a fan of blades, the plasma cutter is strong enough to cut through most metal with ease- though, she can only use it for a limited time before it has to recharge for 10 minutes.
Skills:
  • Technical Work - Which makes her rather well-known in the engineering bay. Kanade loves tinkering around with machines as much as she does inventing them, and she's rather skilled at repairs and upgrades. She would be willing to upgrade the entire armoury if she had the chance and the time to.
  • Marksmanship - While a big fan of spray-and-pray tactics, Kanade can take precise shots with a gun due to her training alongside her Warframes.
  • Guitar-playing - While not a combat skill, Kanade does play guitar in her downtime. It helps her relax, especially during tense waiting moments.

  • Is actually bisexual though she hadn't had the time to do any wooing due to the war against THANATOS.

Age: As of the RP, he's been around for only three years.

Species: Machine - Warframe
Unit Number: ZGF-13
Role: Attacker 1

General Description: A massive Warframe, easily dwarfing most of his human allies. VANADIS is a machine clearly built to hurtle through enemy forces with brute force, focusing on offense rather than defense. Though some mechanical details on his body still stand out- as his creator admits, he was a bit rushed due to the impending THANATOS attack on the day of his creation- he is mostly covered in armor and armed to the teeth.

Personality: Stern, to the point, and duty-bound, VANADIS isn't the type of man- or machine, in this case- to show much emotion. He cares about his allies- but he makes this known to them by aiding them in battle. He can be rather hot-headed once someone insults the rebellion or the Warframe line, however. He, however, has a soft spot for war stories- he's always either listening or telling, though he prefers the latter.

VANADIS seems to make an effort to be close to the engineering bay, as an Attacker for the Rebellion. He usually regales them with stories and listens to ideas regarding upgrades.

Armaments:
  • Steel Mace - It's blunt, it's heavy, and to the point. VANADIS couldn't have asked for anything better. It goes well with his brawny way of handling things, and it requires no form or training- just swing it until it crashes into something and you're good to go.
  • Arm Cannons - VANADIS hates relying on guns, but he does have arm cannons on his wrists that he uses as a shock attack rather than as a real weapon. It adds to his punch, though.
  • Clawed Manipulators - As a brawny type of mech, VANADIS relies on his fists as much as he relies on his mace. He'll punch a machine through if his mace doesn't finish the job.
Skills:
  • Close Quarters Combat - This is the field that VANADIS specializes in. He tends to deploy at the front, bashing his way to clear a path for the rest.
  • Construction Work - You can trust VANADIS to be able to put together furniture, buildings, and even other robots...though he will give you attitude about it.
  • Teaching - Teaching is a skill, at least to him. Most attackers go through his strict training instructions before they get the chance to be deployed with him. Some have mentioned that he's a terror teacher.

~General Description~

A small warframe, only slightly taller than the average human. Eve was built with recon and surveillance in-mind, boasting camouflage that adapts to her surrounding , a single eye made for watching and strong mechanical joints and parts designed to allow her to move at high-speeds for getting into the correct position, or running from a tough situation. Although designed for ranged combat, Eve is capable of melee combat, but would lose to anything or anyone more experienced than her.

~Personality~
An awkward droid that prefers silence to anything else, mostly due to its usual handling as nothing more than a surveillance robot in a “Only speak when spoken to” enviroment. Often treated as an underling and has very much grown used to down-talking. Quite calm in conversation, but a frame of few words, whether this is because of shyness or something else is anyone’s guess. Occasional friendly tendencies towards partners after frequent enough work together.

~Armaments~

Vector - a modified, unconventionally large sniper packing enough firepower to ouncture several layers of steel. Too heavy for even the strongest human to carry, yet considered quite lightweight by warframe standards

In-built scanners - A variety of scanners are located within Eve’s eye, such as a distance scanner to compensate for the slight lack of depth perception

~Skills~
Weapon expertise - Thousands of hours spent amongst various sorts of weaponry has led the warframe to learn how many of them work, and how to fix them. Any sort of dysfunctional weapon could be fixed underneath her watchful, precise eye

Sniping - Rumoured to have never missed a shot, and while this is a rumour, it isn’t that far off. Eve only misses if sudden movement or an unforeseen disruption has occurred

~Other Info~

Although Eve has no face, the light of her eye seems to indicate expression e.g. glowing in excitement, dimming in disappointment etc.

General Description He is built roughly eight feet in height, put together with various high-end lightweight composites to allow the warframe ease of movement on the battlefield that is capable of ignoring light gunfire and some heavier rounds. Although built somewhat anatomically to humans, it is clear that it serves mostly as a means of comfort from memory identification, instead focused on practicality. His upper limbs are made of a flexible 'tubing' that can bend in nearly any direction, reminiscent of an octopus that can be outfitted with a variety of medical and combat equipment, as well as a multitude of sensors lining most of his chassis (particularly In his head) that allows for omnidirectional thermal and ultraviolet scanning/lifesign monitoring


Personality 'MUGEN' is complex, despite his simplistic, masculine speech synthesizer. Underneath it lies a conflicted AI lattice matrix that must process the need to uphold his oath as a caregiver and medical provider, as well as a warframe that, at times, must instead save lives by taking them. He disguises this with oft-poorly timed humor or witty remarks, although there is no mistaking his dedication to helping others whenever possible.


Armaments
  • High-intensity Laser Scalpel - One of MUGEN's many medical attachments, which uses a sheer thread of light that is capable of making and undoing micro/macro incisions on patients or opponents. It can be modified in the field to produce a cohesive stream similar to a beam sabre.
  • VACPAC & accompanying Hypospray - The VACPAC is an attaché case secured to MUGEN that contains an array of chemical compounds used in a variety of medical situations - high-dose painkillers, antibiotics, adrenaline, depressants, and sedatives etc. that can be administered via jet injection with his Hypospray, which can introduce these chemicals intravenously or intra-arterially.
  • 12mm Autocannon - A belt-fed close-to-medium range firearm initially designed as an offensive reconnaissance primary weapon, retrofitted for MUGEN's personal defense when operating in the field.

Skills Designed for bedside and field medical provisioning, MUGEN is no helpless autodoc. He comes equipped with access to an up-to-date repository of modern medicinal techniques for first aide and surgical needs, as well as the means to support an offensive. He is by no means a frontline combatant, given his light armor and armaments, but he has a scalpel and knows how to use it whilst simultaneously assuring his flesh-inclined companions' survival.

General Description:
A lithe, flaxen, companion machine. Nearly
indistinguishable from his human compatriots save for his eyes, which are set to glow in different hues depending on the active setting. Primary function is set to personnel defense and support. Current functionality is set to short to mid-range combat, with speciality in dispatching slower targets. Unit contains a small hover unit to allow for rapid movement over rough terrain. Upper body strength combat value set to absolute dismemberment. When not in combat, support functionality overrides combat setting.

Personality:
Though well designed mechanically, the age of Valkyr's nine year old programming shows in his monotone voice and awkward processing of certain stimuli. Newer models have much more human emotions, whereas his are somewhat lacking. What he lacks in his deadpan programming, he makes up for in learning. Nine years of gathered data on human interaction has gifted Valkyr with a wry sense of humor and a level of empathy.

Armaments:

  • Thermite Rifle: A rather austere looking rifle with a devastating twist. Projectiles fires are not bullets, but rather high-explosive shells armed with various thermite compounds, capable of eating through armor and machinery at mid range, and complete incineration at short range.
  • Matter Disruption Combat Knife: The original knife for every occasion. Based off of mining equipment, this seven inch blade can cut through most materials like butter by inducing localized molecular disruption. Only effective at short range for cutting through exposed weak points.
Skills:
  • Defense Programming: Over 500 styles of martial arts installed, programming flexible enough to improvise.
  • Unique Malfunction: Valkyr has purged the original programming which required him to act completely rationally, is able to think outside the box, though can also be deceived more easily.
  • Support Functionality: Fully equipped to tenderly care for the mental wounds of war. Including but not limited to: Battle Fatigue, Stress, Loss of Loved Ones, Loneliness, Frustration, and many more.
Other Info:
  • Valkyr's support functionality includes a subset of settings which override his combat protocols. Internal temperature is raised human comfort level "cozy". Upper arm strength reduced to within optimal hug index. Moisturizers applied to outer layer for maximum softness.
  • Valkyr's favorite jokes are to play to his robotic nature and voice by imitating an ancient computer. He will refer to tasks he is given as "subroutines". At other times he will rant about talking paperclips.
  • The company which produced Valkyr and all his siblings previously specialized in making "domestic companionship robots" for lonely humans. These robots were designed to serve as animatronic friends, servants, and even lovers for humans. Rumor has it that these programs are still within Valkyr's system, though he has never been prompted to activate one.

General Description:
Robin stands just at 6'1 with a slim build, he typically carries a large satchel with him at all times, and wears a pair of goggles around his neck. His clothing is typically covered in a small layer of soot or oil, and his trousers are lightly singed.

Personality:
Robin sees himself as someone making the best out of a bad situation. How a semi-successful author had managed to become an engineer and more-or-less repairman for a bunch of robots would be a great idea of a book for him, but he was never good at writing auto-biographies.

Armaments:
  • 'Not so Medical' Satchel: A large and surprisingly heavy satchel that Robin typically carries. Inside the satchel is a rather impressive variety of tools for him to use to repair any sort of damaged equipment he may come across.Various spare parts are stored in the satchel as well, mostly sensors and other small things.

  • Stolen Military Pistol: A rather impressive looking pistol he'd found off a poor bastard that had been blown to bits after a recent battle. It's a rather powerful pistol, using either conventional ammunition or a special experimental ammo with increased velocity meant to puncture heavy armor.

"You know I have a Bachelor's in English, right? Not..this."
Skills:

  • Technical skill- Despite having no formal education in robotics or anything, Robin has shown impressive skill when it comes to repairing Warframes and using computers, using a mixture of whatever he'd learned observing other engineers and technicians and sheer improvisation. Hundreds of hours of practice, trial and error, and luck have got him to this level.

  • Viola playing- Robin took Viola lessons as a child, becoming quite good with the instrument but growing bored with it once he hit his teenage years. He's sure he would still be good at playing the instrument, if he could actually find another one.

    APPEARANCE: KASHIMA may be a relatively large machine that towers over most humans (10 feet tall), but it’s core design focuses on mobility. The black armor on KASHIMA has the function to change colors, though it has to be preset, therefore making useless as adaptive camouflage. On his left arm is a quick-draw sheath for EDGE, which also serves as an arm brace.

    PERSONALITY: KASHIMA is cool headed in battle, always focusing on the next target, yet still maintains the brutality and lack of mercy as a soldier should. He makes a clear distinction between ally and foe even in the heat of the battle. This calmness is needed for a Warframe that focuses on mobility to keep itself alive and able to eliminate its target. Contrary to how he is in battle, KASHIMA is quite sociable outside of combat and prefers to acquaint with all his allies as much as possible.


    EXTRA:
    -KASHIMA has a verbal tick that makes him randomly substitute words in the language he’s currently speaking to Japanese.

    -KASHIMA is self-conscious of the fact that he is a 10-foot tall Warframe taking on stealth-based role

General Description: Standing at 7'0" Johnny is shorter than most, if not all, combat oriented machines. Despite this, he is very sturdily built and extremely strong, capable of carrying 3x his bodyweight of 300lbs. His build is similar to his original design except for chipped and faded paint due to neglect.

Personality: Despite the adorable robot of his namesake, Johnny is a very violent and excitable robot with an explosive personality. He is prone to shouting creative insults and other manner of trashtalk at the enemy. In and out of battle he has no subtlety. He likes his presence to be known. Some call his behavior unprofessional, he calls it "Having those big cajones that you humans are always going on about." Despite all this he has a softspot for small creatures, including humans.

Armaments:
-M85 semi-portable mortar: The M85 is a long range mortar system. It isn't exactly man-portable but with Johnnys strength, this crew served weapon can be carried effortlessly across country and operated by him alone. "You know that village we're not supposed to shoot at? Hypothetically, what would happen if it doesn't exist anymore?"

General Description:
Muscular man standing at 172.7 cm and 78 kg heavy. He has no tattoos, and has a long scar on his left cheek. Troy keeps his slightly long hair as a ponytail. He has beige-like skin, dark brown eyes and curly hair of the same color.

Personality:
‘Mildly’ toxic. Troy’s usually rough-he’s hardly kind to people, his advices may be helpful but not kind, and he isn’t very gentle when he acts. Troy’s speech may sound annoying and sarcastic depending on some situations, which tends to stay the same during the whole conversation.
The good part, if you can say it like that, of Troy’s ‘mildly toxic’ behaviour, is that it isn’t really picky about individuals. Robots, people, male, female, person pointing a gun at him, or not, it doesn’t matter a lot. Insult or compliment, Troy doesn’t really care who you are-if you’re listening, he’s glad to speak.
Even with his non-friendly attitude and annoying speech, Troy has the concept of ‘caring’ in his brain. For example, those little advices he may give out. When he sees something that can work better(in his point of view, which may not sound so nice), he’ll tell his opinion. If a teammate’s in danger, he’ll try to pull them out of it with a handful of barking. For romance... unexperienced, not really interested.
Ever since he started fighting against THANATOS to regain territories of humanity, Troy has been rather reckless when he participates in planning attacks. He thinks that if they can win, they must accept the sacrifice they must face.
Troy is quite sensitive about his history, especially the mission where he jeopardized a whole squad. He hardly speaks of any of his past, and tries to change the subject when he has to talk of it.

Armaments:
-Infantry Combat Exoskeleton model I-29:
An ancient design of powered armor designed for infantry. Troy had brand new softwares for the HUD and suit functions installed, and Warframe-grade armor materials were used to replace its old armor platings. It gives the user extra protection, and its exokeleton gives extra strength.
Helmet comes with flashlight function from its nose part, and an extra transparent facial guard that can be detached.
-‘Komodo’ anti-armor revolver:
A revolver with a ridiculously high caliber. The cylinder can hold up to three rounds that can easily devastate light armors purely by its size. The barrel was built longer than usual handguns to effectively use the rounds.
-Military AR:
A standard assault rifle with a grip and a smiley face on it. Medium penetration, not bad weight, decent design.
-‘Circuit Killer’ EMP launcher:
An EMP launcher designed to dispatch a robot with one good shot. The rounds work with a two-step mechanism: first step breaches the armor, and the second step launches the emp warhead inside the armor and detonates it, allowing it to mess with the internal circuits.
Since the weapon could possibly effect/attack(hopefully the latter won’t happen) ally robotics, Troy agreed to deploy with this weapon ready only after he is given permission to.

Skills:
-A decent shooter. But not a talented marksman.
-strong compared to ordinary people. MUSCLES FTW
-Aggro master, within team.
Other Info:
-Troy survived the downfall of a fortress by the forces of THANATOS, where he lost many of his colleagues. His family was lost long before.
-Troy suggested the use of EMP in a sabotage operation he participated in-which they had to use due to the emergency they were in-which jeopardized the whole squad. Troy was suspended from battles for a period of time after this mission.
-Though Troy’s been fighting for as long as he could remember, he never got close to any of his colleagues or promotions-‘my personality’, he says. Most of the soldiers he knows are either gone or are not in ATHENA.

Benjamin Allen Taggart was an esteemed military admiral before the events of Last Eden. During the aftermath and collapse of most official organization and military branches, Taggart dropped off the map disappearing until recently where he was sighted amongst the First Rebellion.

Taggart is a brilliant military strategist and extremely adept in intelligence operations. His field days left him long ago when a brief foray into a depressurized environment left him with nerve damage throughout his body.

While it doesn't render him disabled completely it does inhibit his motion when not managed with a daily dose of nanites. Regardless of this hindrance, Taggart is far from useless, his mind remains sharp and focused and when necessary he can still dish out a beating. Taggart is also adept at information extraction.

Taggart is a bit of a clean freak when it comes to his naval uniform, which is his preferred garment when on duty barring a few exceptions to this. Usually, this applies only to himself but, while he doesn't mind a bit of clutter, Taggart certainly cannot tolerate outright slobbishness.

Taggart serves as Kaname's strategist, interrogator, and personal bodyguard for the first rebellion.​
