WHAT IS PROJECT SYNDICATE?
PROJECT SYNDICATE (abbreviated as [SYN]) is a universal fictional world adapted for role-playing purposes that explores a variety of diverse settings and themes with primary focus on organized crime organizations. Spanning across different eras of human history are numerous thematic sagas that will be explored via different RPs - all embroidered by your participation. These stories serve to facilitate pivotal connections and continuity within [SYN]. All lore is subject to their corresponding RP and timeline. One need neither previous lore pieces nor historical knowledge to participate.

GAMEPLAY
In Project Syndicate, we will explore each Act together before moving onto the next. This means that you will have different characters in different timelines. You also have creative liberty to relate them to the next Act at your discretion. While each Act is connected to each other, and it is highly recommended to start with Act I, they may be played in any order. The timeline with the most vote will be started first and foremost. So cast your votes.
EX Chapters are extra stories that complements the lore of the main Acts. Note that EX-1 and EX-2 will require the completion of certain episodes of previous Acts to unlock in the future.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
- Posting schedules are tentative.
- No posting limits, but keep in mind others' availability to post.
- Players are required to check-in biweekly.
- OOC will take place on Discord for ease of communications.
- For field-related knowledge, please dilute some in-depth details when writing (i.e. IEDs, substance formulas, etc.). I do not wish to be on the NSA's watch list. Thanks.

  The year is 1856, following the conclusion of the conflict in Crimea with the Coalition emerging victorious. Triumphant fervours were short-lived, as soaring crime rates in the world beckons reforms. Rumors of the return of absolutism, political unrests and rampant corruptions are dividing the people. Meanwhile, others saw opportunity in the chaos, keen on setting it all ablaze to create a new world. Within the British Empire, efforts have been called to action to combat the ongoing criminal activities. Among the past contributors to the crimes, not many are aware of their neighbors' true nature.
  
  Perceived on the surface by their peers as a noble house of traders and merchants, the Grimaldis are effective handlers of affairs that threaten the Insitution. While little is known about the Institution, the head of the Grimaldi, Lady Maria figlia di Luca di Grimaldi, has recently been called to action, despite her personal reluctance. To discern the truths from fiction, a certain gathering of gifted individuals with the intention of reestablishing their presence in the criminal world. At the behest of a telegram, many peculiar members associated with the Grimaldi household are summoned to London.
  
  High-value targets, profitable contracts and ample opportunity to take a step further than what they possessed, will the Grimaldi and their associates simply abide by their masked masters or make a run for the high tables themselves? Treachery awaits around every corner.

  The end of a war overseas, and the beginning of a long war upon the very soils of the United States. The Prohibition have left many businesses barely clinging onto their lives, while many turned to illegal means to acquire the bitter fruit of their labors. Among the many criminal organizations that have made New York their battleground, a new player is poised on making the city their home. Following the death of a well-respected Don, the city is up for grabs and only those who is strong enough will be able to make it.
  
  A disillusioned veteran of the War in Europe, the impoverished Captain Matthew McMillan is ready to trample upon the law to regain what he had lost in France. Behind him are zealous individuals, ready to put their skills to good use. Surrounded by hostile gangs, trigger-happy policemen and shadowed contenders, the McMillans are in their element. But behind the fleeting promise of power and wealth, Matthew McMillan has his eyes on something far more valuable than merely a name.
  
  On the other side of the spectrum resides those who wishes to secure peace via order. The determined administrator of law and justice, whose ideals are upheld by a creed that is worth more than the promise of power. Personally tasked by the recently appointed New York City Police Commissioner, George V. McLaughlin, to crack down on the recent surge of criminal activities brought about by emerging gangs, the Chief of Department sought after the effective but maverick Detective Johnny Broderick. Broderick is known as a tough police officer by his peers, whose courage goes hand-in-hands with his fighting abilities. Always the first to step into the ring, Broderick is poised to bring those who disobey the laws to bended knee before sticking it to them.
  
  In this city riddled with brigands and knights, will you uphold the peace via law and order or seek to vindicate the wrongdoings of others through blood and wrath?

  As the Syndicate’s purpose diversified and its hierarchy expanded, the organization pioneered a growing underworld of criminal activities that saw many services in the modern era. From economic to military influences, the Syndicate grasped much of the world’s industrial and commercial pursuits, making them a formidable power that oversaw much of the world’s troubles in the shadows. However, as the Syndicate grew, their myth eventually became a presence on the radar of every nation’s intelligence agencies.
  
  Upon his ascension to the office of Marshal, Viktor Samanova continued the work of his predecessor and reformed the security details of the Asian theatre, notably the increased quantity and quality of former special forces member that made it through his harsh screening process. Viktor is an influential figure in the expansion of the Korean and Chinese strongholds. Within a span of seven short months, he was able to develop the Syndicate’s influence in the Asian theatre and swiftly establish the organization’s growing presence in the areas of operation. Viktor holds his ground as a martial overseer of Asia, and is less enthusiastic on human trafficking. He holds strong sentiments against human trafficking operations, as well as towards narcotic and substance productions. Viktor is commonly known as the “Knight” for this reason.
  
  The Pentateuch Marshal of Asia is under pressure by the Kaiser to look into a certain incident in Indonesia that left the weapons-smuggling operation there crippled. While their assailant remained in the shadow, the Marshal is keen on revealing their identity and bringing stability to his theatre of operation. However, with his enemies finally making their moves, the Marshal is forced to extinguish the fires before it spreads. Gathering his trusted associates, the Marshal directs his attention towards his smuggling operations in China, of which has been tipped off to local enforcements quite frequently of late. Unbeknownst to many, the Knight is prepared to respond in full force.
