Futuristic Project Freelancer- Casual level

The story is simple and will take different paths depending on how characters develop so there is no very in-depth plot line at the moment, just an idea/ concept really.


Project Freelancer is a Special Operations program created to study soldiers in order to win the war with a race of aliens that the humans are currently fighting. The main mission of Project Freelancer is to ensure the survival of humanity in a hostile galaxy. Each agent is assigned a code-name (state of America) and is equipped with special upgrades to the specialised Project Freelancer amour. However some of these functions, the more powerful ones that were put into higher ranked agents, were too advanced for the suits and humans who inhabited them and required the assistance of an A.I to calibrate and run correctly, which will be implemented later in the RP.


The RP will focus primarily around the agents of Project Freelancer, their missions and interactions with each other. Now, since there will be only X amount of A.I available there will only be limited spots I can take. You're welcome to play more than one character if you wish, there are 50 states after all, therefore 50 potential agents. However there are considerably less A.I so you can only play one or maybe 2 agents who gets them.

Also, whilst I am not new to roleplaying, I am brand new to this site, so a lot of the functions are new to me like the fact you can 'like' threads haha. That's cool. So if anyone has any advise for me to help me run the RP should it ever get up and running, that'd be great

There can be romance so long as it doesn't take control of the plot, ie they're not making out every other post and remembering that these are supposed to be soldiers, best of the best kind of deal so try to keep it realistic.


As for a paragraph... I'd like this to be casual so a minimum of one would be expected, 3 would be preferable and anything over that is up to you but I'm not too picky, just no one liners and keep your grammar and punctuation neat.


Also if I can get two more written interests I'll be happy to start a thread.

Could you explain on what would be happening, like firefights?

Character development will be a strong theme throughout the RP, how they react to their situation, missions and each other, I'm more interested in good strong character development than the action parts. Story wise Initially it would be placement tests, to determine where everyone stands on the leader board. After that probably a few training missions and then they'd be going out to complete real ones, information gathering, assassinations, object recovery things like that. They would almost never just be sent out into a battlefield to fight an enemy army. These guys are special ops, elites and, essentially not even part of the official army, they're a secret decision. You wouldn't waste them on petty battles unless it was a matter directly involving the project or an agent of the project.

So pretty much they are under ARSOC ( Army Special Operations Command ). Coming from military experience myself, they are surgical strikes meant for impeding enemy movements, supply lines, or command control operations.

Kind of, but without any real army command. They came from the army, but the devision they're under now don't assist the army in their endeavors, running missions only to advance their own means, with the idea that, at the end of it all the technology they're testing and helping to advance will go to the army to help them win the war. But they never associate directly with the army any more. Not coming from an army background I have virtually no clue what I'm talking about haha. I just know in my head what I want.
