Project Arachnid.


You know this title as your savior; your saving grace. If it hadn't been for this project, you might've died on the streets. At a young age, you were abandoned by your parents to fend for yourself. While you don't remember any of it, this is what they tell you. For your own sake, your memory was repressed; it would have been a hindrance to your training. You and five others were under the care of a psychologist, Dr. Candace Sterling. Her sole purpose was to make sure your mental health wasn't being compromised, as well as documenting your progress.


Many years later, you're known as the smartest elite group of agents ever known to man. You dare do things no other person would, on account of your adrenaline rush. All the missions given to Arachnid are successful with no screw ups or fatalities. Everything was going great with you and your 5 friends. Life was great and everyone was happy with themselves.


Until Dr. Sterling fell ill.


It hit the 6 of you hard. The only parental figure you had in your life was dwindling away. But she wouldn't go until she told you the truth about everything. The truth about Project Arachnid. The truth about where you came from. Everything they told you from the very beginning?

May is probably the more laid back of the bunch. While she still enjoys the world of parkour like the rest, sometimes she'd prefer to just listen to music or something. She doesn't really react to things unless they have some sort of effect on herself or on people she cares about. In her eyes, why react to things that have nothing to do with you? Whether or not this is a good thing, it's how she's always been. She's not one to hop on the bandwagon about how to react to things either. How she feels is how she feels and there's nothing and no one who can influence it. She's a strong girl and can usually handle anything thrown her way, but every woman has a breaking point. What hers is pretty unknown and can happen at anytime. Her emotions are something of a mystery. You can never truly tell how she's doing simply because of her poker face and her ability to keep her voice calm through anything.

May is the type of person to analyze a situation before jumping to conclusions, always finding an outcome that will benefit her. If she can't chances are she'll abandon ship and let someone else figure it out. It makes her a selfish person, but only selfish when it's towards people she could care less about. Her friends, or rather now family, mean the world to her. When she loves, she loves hard but never shows it. She believes love is a weakness that can be used against you by your enemies. Therefore, she tries to act cold-hearted but people who know her knows she's a softie. May can also be very tempting, but not just by her looks. Also by the way her mind works and the way she sees things. People often say she is very enticing and when she has you in her grip, you either survive or you don't. She's not a bad person per se when it comes to the love department. Just a bit jaded. What she believes is the right thing she's doing could be the wrong thing. This is mostly because she never got the opportunity to be in a real relationship with anyone due to her being in PA.

Lattie believes that you only get one good moment in your life. What you decide to do with it and how you decide to spend it is up to you. She believes that good moments are rare and if you ever get one, that you should cherish it. If you take it for granted, she's sure to get pissed that you let such a great opportunity pass you by.

Analytic
May will analyze a situation before she reacts to it. Depending on the situation or the topic determines how long it'll take her or how much she focuses on it. She does this both in and out of the field, a skill she seems to always use no matter what.

HTH Combat
Lattie is very good with her hands. Thanks to her analytic ways, she seems to know where and how hard to to hit. Even though everyoe had extensive training on the subject, this was one she favored and practiced the most. The fact that there were so many different fighting styles may have intrigued her the most, fueling her passion for hand-to-hand combat.

Master in freerunning (parkour)-
This is probably the more important skill she's learned. More helpful when she's running from bad guys or cops. Learning parkour helped her mind and body become prepared for obstacles that would slow her down. Now, she thinks nothing of them as she hops and slides under things and scale tall buildings. It gives her a rush that allows her to do her job better.

Stealth
Every step she takes, you can't even hear her. She's mastered this skill, perhaps for the wrong reasons. It was mostly because she was sneaking out of the compound that she got so good at it. But now, it was something she uses in the field.

Weapons of Choice:

Knives
Maylene's weapon of choice would have to be knives. Specifically throwing knives. Why she prefers them, no one will ever know. She's known to be quite the master of welding sharp objects, being able to hit her target nearly every time.

Garrote Wires
She's taken a keen liking to using garrote wires when she sneaks up on her victims. Giving people the element of surprise is what she finds joy in. Even though you shouldn't really find joy in killing people by surprise.

Personality: Quick to anger, slow to forgive, a passionate lover and supportive friend, he goes to incredible ends for those he dubs friend, and is far more cruel to his enemies than the people around him would like him to be. He is not very reliable when it comes to being friendly all the time. He does tend to have other things trailing through his mind at times along with the austerity of an old man. So to his family (the team) he is protective, strong, loving and stern yet, to the woman he loves his fealty is unflinching and his heart passionate. That's why Dr. Sterling calls him her Angel, and that's why he chose the name Tempest. And with peaking years, nihilism spawned in a collection of spores tainting the recesses of a whimpering mind. Bitter and cynical and yet strong in more ways than even he would ever admit. Inspired in truth by trust and encouragement; memories of a woman who took place as an greater mother figure than he could ever ask for.

Fera can come off as quite indifferent towards most situations. At time it seems like he often has little care for the things going on around him quick to say that something is either to dangerous or makes no sense and will easily forbid you from doing it. While this is in fact true at times, he's not quite as unaffected as he comes off as. A strong fear of losing a connection (be it a friend, family member, or even the loss of civilian lives) constantly plagues him and drives him to push himself to these extremes more often than once or twice. So he's always managed to cultivate a cool sort of indifference as part of his attitude though, and at times this can make him seem as if he isn't serious about anything. Though in turn Fera is a rebellious soul. Despite his strict upbringing within PA, he has always pushed the limits of the rules set in place for him. He is the sort that if given an inch, he will take a mile. He's very much an independent sort of thinker, and as such, he doesn't always listen to the rules or expectations that are set for him. He's something of a wildcard in this regard. It's hard to know how exactly he might behave in a situation given that he isn't afraid to break course when he wants to.

Fera prides himself on loyalty. He keeps secrets and takes his friends' side in things most of the time, even if he doesn't completely agree with said friend. He's not infallible, however, and he could definitely be persuaded to spill secrets, but it's something he tries not to do. So he's a rather sarcastic individual. He has a dry sense of humor and is certainly more of a realist than optimist. He tends to wield his sarcasm like a weapon in itself. It is a way to keep people from determining what he is truly thinking as a sharp taunt can be quite the effective distraction when it needs to be.

Fera is the definition of a dangerous man; and that's not just because he has to kill more than half the people he encounters every day. In simple its how he carries him self, some days he's a hot-headed son of a gun, others he's so sharp-witted and adorned with every necessary degree of calculated cynicism, he is all anyone would expect of him as he keeps everything simple. There are two correlating faces that the one and only Fera has, the face he shows to the people he considers family and then the face he shows to well just about everyone else.

The type of man that tend to catch a room even in a jumpsuit covered in oil and grease. Not always in the physical sense, he just has that suaveness about him that cause people, yes both men and women, to pay attention to him. He is charming, slick, and well who does not like that accent? Intermixed with English, Patois and Spanish, he can charm the pants, and wallet off of anyone. He is confident, and knows what he wants. And nine times out of ten, he won't even pay for it.

Personal Beliefs: "We're the ones that have to work in the dark to make sure that the light can still shine."

He considers a promise to be pretty much God binding, and as such will try and hold himself to any and all promises he makes. He also holds people to the same standards, getting highly offended if promises are broken without a good excuse, and it's one of the things he's most high-maintenance about. On tpo of the with him everything is eye for an eye, just like an older brother would do it. "You shoot me, I'll shoot you twice in the worst places so you'll know not to try it again." He looks for the self destruct button on his teammates to show them that their enemy can easily find it if their not careful. And feel like if he doesn't protect his team, nobody will.

Relationships: Fera treat everyone of his friends as family to a point that they are all little siblings to him, no matter their age or how they feel towards him.
  • Lattie: If there was anyone he would have to go to for advice on a matter it would be Lattie. And if he were to die he'd hope that she would step up to make sure nothing else would happen to the rest of them.
  • Atrax: Views him as the Jason Todd of the family, the one who doesn't know why he's angry but just is. Wants the love and support, just doesn't know how to go about it.
  • Geome: Feels like she deserves the title "Angel" more than he does while keeping a close eye on her. Fera views her as the baby of the team and along with Lycos, he'll die before he lets anything at all happen to them.
  • Lycos: Sees him a the younger version of himself, before he'd realized how life really sucked, and how draining everything could be. When he looks at him he sees hope for a brighter day.
  • Eutria: Enjoys having someone else say that something is a stupid idea and definitely mean it. Still hasn't figured it all the way out yet.

Skills:
  • Militaristic Training: A mix of new and old training has meshed together to make him a skilled tactician and strategist, he could dream of battle strategies in his sleep, creating scenarios to play out in hopefully any event that arises. He is adept at quick changes, refitting a strategy to fit the situation with slight ease. Basic combat first aid, he knows how to stop and stem blood flow from basic injuries and bind wounds. He has learned how to set broken bones and dislocated limbs, mostly on her own self and this might not translate well to others. His suturing skills are raw and untrained and though he can do so in a pinch, though it's not a pretty job.
  • Combat Specialist: The thing about Fera is when he fights, he fights hard and he fights fast. Focusing on styles that focus on agility, speed, and brutality. And thanks to him enjoying this the most, he has excelled in this area, creating a form of combat that is essentially very acrobatic, heavily attack-oriented, utilizing powerful sweeping kicks, aerial takedowns and lashing attacks with hooked and clawed fists. This focus' on how to use the motions of his body along with his speed and size to his advantage while attacking his enemy's weak points. Being well-studied about the human body, he can effectively target pressure points, vital points (like the jugular), and joints. Oh, he's also not afraid of using cheap shots.
  • Acrobatics/Free-running: "Great fighters know when to run," was something Sterling had taught him for most of his life. Thanks to those wise words, Angel is an accomplished traceur, capable of scaling buildings, and running from rooftop to rooftop with ease. He is maneuverable and graceful, able to pursue and outrun anyone in various types of terrains.
  • Situational Awareness: Regardless of how good his instincts are, Sterling trained him not to rush in blindly. One thing that he will has learned how to do is pause and look at his situation. His environment. His opponents. Can he come out winning in a situation or is it hopeless? Its how the team is comprised it's became easy for them to walk away barely scratched despite being outnumbered. That would not be possible if they did not consider their situations. Based off that, he was trained in stealth and escapology. Naturally soft footed like a panther and black has also been a long time friend of his, its easy for Fera to duck into the shadows and approach someone unawares.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Angel can rapidly and easily disassemble complex devices (separating every last component, such as screws, nuts, circuit boards, engines etc.) and, just as quickly, easily assemble said complex devices. He possesses an eidetic memory, perfect pattern solving/recognition, extremely high perception/observational skills, and proficient deductive/reasoning skills. He can easily learn and understand the complexity and exactness of models, objects, subjects, fields, powers, etc. without the need of long-term or special education.
  • Marksmanship: One of the traits that was picked up along the way that he pushed to his forefront. This attribute has allowed him to wield bullets, knives, and any other projectile utilized by aiming in an efficient manner. Also, this attribute plays a significant factor in him utilizing his main weapon, his bow and arrow. He is considered deadly in the art, having been trained extensively in the area offhandedly throughout the years.

Weapons:
  • Recurve Bow: Angel uses this as his weapon of choice when it comes down to range, a customized recurve bow. It featured standard recurve limbs and a riser that had a metal enclosure for the hand.
  • Classic: A classic arrow is what many people imagine with the word "arrow" – it's a projectile with a shaft that is shot from a bow, almost always consisting of an arrowhead at one end of the shaft and a fletching and nock at the other. This arrow can be sharp or dulled and is usually used for pinning clothing, apprehension, or, well, killing.
  • Vertical Back Quiver: He has two of these upon his back, connected to the same harness system that reaches across the front his chest. Each quiver holds twenty-five arrows. The composite quivers weigh around five pounds each when loaded full of arrows. The exact weight depends on the types of arrows. He tends to have a single high-explosive arrow situated between the two quivers.
  • Specialized Arrows: While he prefers to use the standard arrow, he will use trick arrows when the situation calls for it, and he keeps at least one of each trick arrow with him. He typically carries, at any given time, an oil slick arrow, smoke arrow, bola, explosive arrow, hack arrow, grappling hook arrow, zip line arrow, high density polyurethane foam arrow and tranquilizer arrow.
  • Custom Model 460XVR: When he pulls these out, he's not looking to play nice. He's looking to remove a good chunk of somebody's body. He carries two of these on his body, attached to his utility belt. With the extended magazine they carry six rounds instead of five. He carries four extra clips on his body at any given time.

I reallllllly prefer the real photos only because of the manner of rp. The realistic feel kind of helps me progress the story and picture it all in my head. I understand if it makes you too uncomfortable though and if you want to drop.

-Due to an unknown incident in her childhood that she has apparently always had since abandoning she has a prosthetic leg as replacement, one of the most high-tech in technological advancements at current times though when relaxing prefers to use a simply sprinting prosthetic instead, something she's more comfortable with from training.

I know but are you sure you can't make an exception? I find it really hard to rp as real people and don't want to drop an amazing rp simply because of a difference in appearance tastes, if you could possibly help search for a real life image that matches the one I'm using as my description basis I might be able to make a compromise?~….

• multilingualism: Martha speaks six languages fluently; French, English, Mandarin, Spanish, Italian and Russian and she picks up the basics of languages very easily. However, she is not an emotive being and has little time for anything less than facts and this is often more of a blockade between her talking with people than language barriers.
• observance: when she enters a room she makes sure to look around her and notice everything. Every exit, every guard, every possible escape route. She is also skilled at reading people, from a twitch in their eyebrow or the pitch of their voice Eutria can tell whether someone is lying, or planning to betray her.
• accurate aim: in even the worst conditions Martha can shoot a sniper from over 2000m, she has a sharp eye and a steady hand. She is also more than proficient with darts, throwing knifes, handguns, crossbows and most other weapons that require good aim. Once she’s had a chance to work out the weight and balance of a weapon, she is deadly.
• strategic: a fast and careful planner, Eutria never goes into a situation without a plan b (as well as c,d, and e.) She is able to think many steps ahead of most enemies, which benefits her both on missions and while playing chess. She beat Sterling once, the woman who taught her the game, and it is one of the view memories she has that makes her smile.
• stealth: Martha isn’t great at hand to hand combat, improvising isn’t her strongest talent and she prefers to not leave her life in the hands of improvisation. This means that she has to be able to get where she needs to be undetected. She makes little noise as she walks and is good at hiding, knowing that it’s a safer option than outrunning her pursuers; trained men who are usually much faster than her.
Weapons:
•Sniper Rifle:Eutria prefers to be a distance from the action, at a place where she can see all that’s going on and plan accordingly, this, combined with her great aim, makes a sniper rifle her favourite weapon.
•Needles:When more subtlety is required, Eutria’s second favourite weapons are needles, dipped in a poison that makes it seem like a heart attack and inserted under the fingernail and no-one will suspect a thing.
•Knifes:Perhaps the most versatile of her favourite weapons, a knife is something that Eutria will never not have hidden somewhere on her person. Her knifes are all suitable for throwing as well as stabbing and in the rare case that she does get into close combat which can’t be avoided; a knife is the weapon that Eutria wants in her hand.


in depth—
personality:Much like everyone in Project Arachnid; Martha had a hard time growing up. She doesn’t remember most of it but she learnt very early on that the only person she could rely on was herself. This knowledge hugely shapes her personality today. A very independent individual, Martha had built thick walls around her heart to protect herself from others and the only person who’s ever really gotten close to breaking them down is Dr Sterling.
Martha operates mostly in objective facts, rarely indulging in emotion or feelings; her core instinct is always survival and she is rarely focused on anything else, leading her to be perceived as a bit of a joykill.
Martha doesn’t do bullshit and to her peers will always speak the truth without consideration of how it may perceived. She cares very little of what people think of her and considers love and caring for others a weakness.
However, Martha still does care, she doesn’t like to admit it, she may not even realise it but if anyone tries to hurt one of the team she becomes fiercely protective. She may not be apt at showing emotion but Martha still has plenty of them, buried under her cold exterior.
Martha is stubborn, but certainly not rash. All her actions are calculated for the best chance of success and survival for her and her team. She will rarely listen to other’s ideas unless they make logical sense to her.
Martha’s ability to suppress her emotions makes her an efficient killer. She doesn’t wonder if her victim has children or a partner who will miss them, she doesn’t wonder if they deserve it. Killing comes easily to her and while she wouldn’t say she enjoyed it, it has never been as hard for her as it perhaps should be. If she ever were to start to feel things and question her orders Martha would regard this as a weakness and ultimately a failure, doing everything she could to reject these feelings.
Martha is not aggressive; or at least she prefers not to be. She doesn’t harm people from emotions like fear or anger or love, instead logic rules her actions and when she harms a person it’s so that they wouldn’t have a chance to harm her.

Eutria’s whole way of life is based on the idea that you can only rely on yourself to put your best interests at heart. She trusts no one, and believes that anyone who does trust others with their lives deserves what they get.

Jack is the most happy-go-lucky guy you’ll meet. He tends not to care too much or take anything seriously. He’s a bit of party animal, especially when he’s consumed even the slightest bit of alcohol. That, of course, doesn’t mean he’s a lightweight in anyway. He can hold his liquor better than most which has gained him plenty of money from betting. He’s usually quite optimistic, always trying to cheer the group up with his little pep talks like a coach on a kids football team. He gets along with the others well due to his childish nature; they tend to treat him as a little brother.

Personal Beliefs:
Has an incredibly optimistic view. Despite this, he isn’t religious not one bit. He does believe in the concept of karma and justice though, making sure people receive appropriate judgement for their actions.
Relationships:
Eutria - Dislikes her due to her serious nature. Wishes she’d lighten up. Tries to cheers up constantly with ALCOHOL!
Tempest - Looks up to for his strength. Wants to be as strong as he is.
Fera - Like an older brother. Always there to protect him and cover him.
Geome - Gets along with decently, thinks she’s a bit too much of a softie
Lattie - Best friend. Loves to chill with and hang out with. So loose and easy to get along with

Throwing Glaive - He wields a blade of many blades, thrown with great ease. Similar to a common boomerang, it will always return to the origin of the throw unless caught beforehand or thrown to specifically land somewhere else. It is sharpened daily and one of the main weapons in Jack’s kit. He can not only throw it but battle with it as if it was a sword of some kind.
Bow - If engaging from a distance, the bow is a go to. It is silent, quieter than silenced guns. He has a quiver loaded with arrows, each made with the finest quality materials available.
Dagger - He wields a handcrafted dagger. He made it himself with the aid of the PA. It’s sharpened and he doesn’t let it out of his sight. It is too precious to him.
